Used the Plantation for my wedding ceremony on 5/22 since they had a beautiful spot with a gazebo right next to the water. It was actually my first time staying at the hotel, and it was definitely a great experience for my guests who stayed there as well. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the pool was pristine, hallways weren't loud at night, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and professional.
The Tiki Bar is a great place to hang out and unwind, especially after a long day of running around doing wedding stuff. Drinks were a little pricey, but the service was excellent and we all had a great time. I can't remember the names of the 2 bartender ladies, but they kept those drinks coming and you get your money's worth!
I must absolutely give a shout out to one particular person here. Ms. Kristine was the wedding/event coordinator for the Plantation, and I hope they realize what a wonderful Event Coordinator she is and never let her go. I have heard of Fairy Godmothers in children's stories, but I certainly got my own when Kristine helped me with the entire wedding/ceremony experience. I thought it was going to be a stressful experience, but I really had nothing to stress about since she took care of my flowers, coordinating my bridal party, working with the officiant, putting out my favors, decorating the gazebo, fluffing my dress, and even sent up some snacks the next morning. I was extremely impressed after I found out she did all this for me, and still had 2 other ceremonies after my wedding to do as well. Just booking this venue for Kristine alone is so worth it since there is no drama, stress, or details left undone when you have a great coordinator who has your back.
For all the brides on a budget, you can still get this amazing Ceremony site and not break the bank. It was worth it to me to pay a little extra to decorate the gazebo and chairs with the Plantation's stuff, but you can customize anything you want and know it will look absolutely gorgeous. Plus Kristine has great working relationship with a lot of the local vendors in the area so she kept up and communicated with them on my behalf if they had questions about the day.
I only live about 10 minutes away from the hotel, but will definitely book them again for a stay-cation and just relax by the pool. Can't find a better place in Crystal River, that is for sure! -

Our wedding at The Plantation on Crystal River was perfect and a huge part of it was not only the resort and the location itself, but all the help from the resort staff and on-site wedding coordinator.
We loved this venue for a number of reasons. The ceremony site/gazebo was beautiful and in a unique location out in the springs. We liked that guests could stay on site and not have to travel to the ceremony or the reception site and wouldn't have to find a way back to their hotel after the reception. All of the waitstaff and staff at the hotel were so accommodating and helpful to us and all of our guests staying on site. The food for the wedding and our rehearsal dinner came from the on-site restaurant and it was beyond expectation and much better than usual "wedding food". I, as the bride, also really appreciated the spa onsite that did all of my bridal party and mine hair and make up on the day off. Having everything all in one place made our wedding much easier to plan and easier on all of our out of town guests.
We worked with Jacey Volkman, the on-site wedding coordinator, to make all of our arrangements at the venue and the entire process was so seamless. She readily answered our questions via email and was a huge help in the day of coordination of checking in vendors and making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. She was a big part of why our wedding was so special and so perfect.
My husband and I have so many positive and wonderful things to say about this venue and we could not recommend it enough! -

I cannot express how amazing my entire wedding weekend was. The Plantation staff put on a wonderful event for us. Everything was so beautiful and well executed. Jacey, our Event Manager, was very helpful throughout the process and made my wedding completely worry-free and seamless. We had quite a few last minute changes and Jacey was kind enough to accommodate these additions. Over the weekend (Thur/Fri/Sat), the families hung out by the pool and used the property facilities. Anne-Marie was so wonderful all weekend at the pool bar. The activities coordinator, James, was also kind enough to humor the other side of the family with a movie of their choice on the Saturday Movie night. We are a needy bunch and everyone was just so accommodating. The West 82 restaurant produces AMAZING food; though, you do have to make reservations if you want a table which was a little inconvenient for us (to our own fault). Saturday, we rented some boats to go to the springs and search for manatees. We had such a great time on the boats. The Adventure Center team was wonderful, as well. Kayla from the Spa was just simply amazing, and did a wonderful job on my hair for the day of the wedding and during the hair trial process. The Plantation has an overall truly talented staff and should be proud to be a part of a wonderful property. Sunday, our wedding was on the Point, with the ceremony in the Gazebo and the reception on the lawn. Kaitlyn did a fantastic job making sure we were all taken care of throughout the event and then bringing us the random forgotten (yet important) decorations while they cleaned up. The entire banquets team was so kind and so professional. My new husband and I are just over the moon about the entire event and weekend. And really, really sad it is over! We were talking with our families the next day and everyone said how they have absolutely ZERO complaints. If I could do it again, I would absolutely choose the Plantation over again. -

Everything about our day was perfect and Carrie and the rest of the staff were great to work with on every aspect. We had 75 guests at the Point for an outdoor ceremony (love the view and the two gazebos) and indoors for the reception in the Palm Room. -

There were a few little kinks but overall it looked stunning, the food was delicious and guests were happy so that made my day even better. Thank you to plantation for helping to make our day so special!!

Beautiful Venue and Amazing Food
It was worth every penny. Beautiful location for ceremony and reception. The locals were amazing and sweet. It was a great all in one package. All our guests had a great time. -

I had visited this property in the past and fallen in love with it. It is quite dreamy.
I scheduled an appointment and we met with Jaycee. She was very polite and friendly. Sadly though after a week of not hearing back from her for a list of available dates, I had to reach out to her myself. Unfortunately she had forgotten about us. Also forgot the time frame for dates we had discussed and she'd written down at our appointment.
This left me feeling a bit worried about how all the other important details of planning my wedding would be handled so we chose to keep looking. In addition to that, they don't seem to be to flexible on the packaging and pricing which I found disappointing.
I would have loved to have had my wedding here, as I mentioned the property is gorgeous. Perhaps it just wasn't meant to be. -

I was extremely excited to tour and book with the Plantation especially because of all they offer for your guests! I requested pricing and got their generic email then asked to tour their venue and no response. I called twice where the reception said they will call me back, but they never did. Do you really want to have a wedding where they don't care about your special day? I definitely don't.
