Sarah made our wedding cake for our Indian wedding on May 9th at the BWI Hilton! She also made strawberry and chocolate cupcakes for our cocktail hour and an extra snickerdoodle sheet cake for the dinner. Everyone absolutely loved our desserts!! There was not a single piece left and everyone commented how they could not even tell it was vegan!! They were so shocked at how good it was (because sometimes vegan cakes don't taste the same or better than cakes with dairy). Sarah is an AMAZING baker and was so easy to work with. Highly recommend booking her for your wedding cake! -

I found Sarah while looking for a cake for our save the date photo shoot. She gave us the cutest heart-shaped, almond and rasberry flavored, vintage lambeth-piped cake in the world. But when I took a bite, I was IN SHOCK. It was the best cake I had ever eaten in my life (and I don't play about cake, it's my favorite food). I immediately wanted more from her. For my bridal shower, my sister made sure to order another cake from her--this time the cutest chocolate sheet cake decked out in blue florals to match my theme. Now, I'm the only vegan in my family (heck, I'm the only vegan they know), so it could have been a risk to provide a party with a fully vegan cake. But no, everyone raved about it all day!
Now here is where I got sad. We were getting married in Hershey, PA and cake came with our catering from the venue. However, when we had our tasting, I just wasn't super impressed, and the vegan flavor they offered had no real frosting on it. It was important to me that my cake be GORGEOUS and delicious AND something I could eat. We called Sarah very last minute and she let us know that she had already taken on a wedding that same day. But, like she does, she worked her magic and found a way to work with us. We had her serve a three tiered vegan cake and we did extra "regular" sheet cake from the venue for more servings. She took one look at my Pinterest board and said "I got this," and when I walked into my reception on the day of the wedding, there it was--the cake of my DREAMS.
Not only did Sarah work with us on a time crunch, come hours early to set up our cake, add the cake topper we left with the venue herself, and ensure that the cake was safe and stable, she did all of that without needing to contact us once. She was in and out, in contact with our coordinator, organized and efficient. It was like a magical cake fairy came and blessed our wedding with a masterpiece.
The cake was everything I had dreamed and more. She understood our vision so speedily. She worked within our color scheme, the piping was flawless, and she even added the sweetest and most delicate piped floral details AND LITTLE MINI PINK BOWS!!!!
And of course, it's Plant Baked By Sarah, so we have to talk about the taste. It was the best cake in the world. Our bottom tier was the almond cake with raspberry jam that we fell in love with at our save the date photo shoot, the middle tier was the chocolate cake with chocolate ganache that we were starstruck over at my bridal shower, and the top tier was a lemon cake with raspberry jam--something new and delectable to remind us of our wedding forever. It was all truly and simply perfect, flawless, stunning.
From the TASTE, to the PRESENTATION, to Sarah's COMMUNICATION, her insanely amazing PRICING/VALUE, her EASE TO WORK WITH, and the OVERALL JOY FACTOR of booking with Plant Baked By Sarah, I give everything 5 stars again and again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
And may I just end on this, and every vegan knows how I feel when I hear it--everyone I've spoken to since the wedding has told me "the vegan cake was SO much better than the other one." 💖 -

Vandiche Sent on 05/23/2025The Fantasy Wedding Cake of My Dreams
I came to Sarah with a tall order: for our fantasy-themed wedding cake, I was looking for a fully vegan three-tiered cake with a huge dragon as the decoration. Not only did she deliver, she went above and beyond, hand-painting a gorgeous copper dragon in the colors we requested and crafting edible 3D wings that made it look like it was in flight. The cake was truly the centerpiece of the reception dinner. For flavors, we ordered snickerdoodle, cinnamon mocha latte, and chocolate cookies and cream, all of which were delicious. My personal fav was the cinnamon mocha — 10/10 highly recommend. I would love to order more cakes from Sarah for future celebrations! -

Sarah is so professional and timely. She also has made the best vegan cake I have ever tried - and I've tried making lots on my own and many bakeries in Maryland. I highly highly recommend going to Sarah for weddings, big events, or low key birthday. I am so grateful for her! We got one sweetheart cake and multiple flavors of cupcakes for our guests. -

Our wedding cake from Sarah was absolutely perfect. It was visually stunning and tasted amazing. Sarah used a combination of real edible flowers and buttercream petals to create our fairytale theme vision. We got so many compliments from plant based and non- plant based guests and couldn’t even save a layer for our anniversary because we couldn’t resist eating it all!!! We have already decided we will just have to order another in a year. The entire process was easy and Sarah was helpful and responsive. Sarah delivered the cake exactly on time to ensure that it was in perfect condition for cutting even at our outdoor summer wedding.
When I asked my husband if he had anything to add his response was simply: “scrumptious!”. -

Gorgeous, Delicious, Reasonably Priced!!
Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was super professional, flexible, and altogether a huge help! The cake she designed was stunning and exactly what we wanted. Not only was it completely vegan, but it tasted amazing! So many guests couldn't even tell it was vegan! We also found her prices extremely reasonable. We are SO happy we found and went with Plant Baked by Sarah!! Highly recommend her!! -

Our cake was AMAZING and even more beautiful than we could've dreamed of. The flavors were out of this world and we received so many compliments on it from our guests! Sarah was so easy to work with and really took our ideas into consideration. During the cake tasting, each flavor and presentation outdid the one before! We knew we needed cupcakes and a cake for our wedding because we couldn't just pick one flavor.
Our cake fit perfectly with the venue and represented us, which was exactly what we were going for. We highly recommend Sarah!! -

Sarah provides the UTMOST quality of wedding cakes. She is an engineer by training, and IT SHOWS in how professional and flawless her cakes are. Her cake for my recent wedding was absolutely breath-taking. I really appreciated that she sent mock-ups ahead of time so we could go back and forth with designs- she can do literally anything you ask! She also personally delivered it to my wedding which was ~2 hours away from her business for a reasonable delivery fee, which made us feel really safe about the delivery. I had originally had a different place I went to for vegan cakes, and when I asked them about tiered cakes they told me that they don't do vegan tiered cakes.. and also couldn't deliver, and they also had really limited vegan flavors and fillings. With Plant Baked by Sarah, there truly is NO SACRIFICE at all to have a vegan wedding cake. I loved all the choices and how we could have different flavors and fillings on each layer to accommodate me, my husband, and our guests favorites - so fun! We got a 6 inch, 8 inch, and 10 inch which nominally serves 75 people, and perfectly fed our 60 guests, with a safe amount of leftovers. All my guests (~90% of whom were not vegan) loved the cake and especially the icing, which wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Had they not known me and my husband were vegan I think there wouldn't have been any known difference from a non-vegan cake.
I'm actually really sad that I can't have another wedding simply to have another beautiful cake from her- but perhaps will do some birthday and anniversary ones from her in the future when we visit the DMV again! -

Plantbased or not, everyone enjoyed the delicious cake layers of almond with buttercream and lemon with rasberry filling and vanilla buttercream at my wedding reception. Also she matched the decor of the cake to my wedding dress using pressed edible flowers. Amazingly beautiful and delicious. I plan on ordering samples from her again soon. Highly recommend! -

Beautiful, delicious cakes with helpful service!
We are so happy with both the service and the final product we received from Sarah. My husband and I had very different visions for what we wanted our cake to look like. Sarah was helpful in going through a couple iterations with us until we could land on an idea we were both really happy with. We also had a few questions throughout the process; Sarah was always quick to respond with helpful information.
The cake itself was delicious and beautiful! We went with three tiers so we could have three flavors and every single one was a winner. All our guests (vegan and non-vegan alike) spoke very highly about the cake. We think you'll have a great experience if you go with Sarah as your wedding cake baker. -

Our wedding cake looked and tasted DELICIOUS! We reached out to specifically to Sarah because my fiancé (now husband) is lactose intolerant. Our family and friends who blown away that the cake was vegan when we told them afterwards. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future. -

Sarah’s cupcakes and cakes are absolutely delicious. She delivered them to our venue down the road for a very reasonable delivery fee and they looked so beautiful. She is so talented! We’ve already ordered another cake from her since the wedding because it was so good. She’s easy to get in touch with and always responds quickly. -

Sarah made my wedding cake this past October and it was AMAZING! We did the chocolate cake with Oreo filling on one layer and the bottom layer was lemon with raspberry filling. Yum! The cake went so fast that some guests didn’t think it ever got cut. Everyone raved about it afterwards. I can’t wait to use Plant Baked in the future for other events. -
