December 27th Beach Wedding
Lu and Zan are great! They truly want to give you the perfect day without having any of the stress or worrying about the logistics of the day. Working with them really felt like working with part of our family. Having planners with so many local connections to provide you with whatever you need is priceless. They were in constant contact from the time we started working together— sending reminders for things to be considering at appropriate times leading up to our wedding and making sure we were aware of local vendors and resources. During the week of our wedding, the communication only enhanced further, which is really impressive as it was the week of Christmas. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you are ready and feel prepared and at ease for your big day.

We cannot recommend Plan My Beach Wedding enough! Lu and Zan were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were not only friendly and professional, but also incredibly reliable and easy to get in touch with for any questions we had throughout the planning process. They made sure every detail was taken care of, which helped us feel relaxed and excited for our big day.
Our sunset beach wedding was truly magical, and Zan, our officiant, was wonderful. The ceremony was heartfelt, personal, and perfectly aligned with what we envisioned.
Another huge plus is the excellent recommendations for other vendors! Plan My Beach Wedding helped us find a great photographer and baker for our cake, which made the whole process much easier. We felt so supported every step of the way.

My dream beach wedding
Lu was the only part of my wedding experience that I did not have to worry about at all. She’s great with showing the details of colors and flowers that you would like. She’s also great at putting together the right package for you. She’s also nice to meet with you in person, and getting to know you as a couple in order to incorporate that into the wedding. I felt so comfortable being around her while she was planning the wedding and actually taking photos of the wedding. She was very quick to respond to any of our text messages or questions that we had regarding the ceremony. Excellent Wedding Planning Company for your Beach Wedding!
I would highly recommend this company. Plan My Beach Wedding went above and beyond to make our wedding extra special! We were married a month ago and working with Lu throughout the process was awesome. She is highly responsive and detail oriented.
We live in Colorado and I had never been to Siesta Key. I put all of my trust into her not knowing the company or the area. The wedding was set up exactly as shown in the photos.
We asked for a conch shell blowing (as they do in Hawaii) and they gladly accommodated it. Lu was great with the logistics on the wedding day getting everyone through the ceremony.
Zan did a great job as officiant and was easy going and fun to work with. They are a great team and true professionals.
Everything came together perfectly and the photos Lu took are awesome. Everyone loves them.

Best planner to start our lives
I want to outline our whole experience. A year ago we picked our Planner, Lucrecia for our wedding on Anna Maria Island by the Jetty. She was really responsive, helpful, and made it easy for us. This lead up to our wedding day where we had a small issue with communication (mostly my fault I would say lol) on renting a pavilion. We realized that she hadn't booked it and we hadn't booked one for the reception. When we brought it up to her attention, even though she really didn't have to help, she did. And she did amazingly with it. She took over our situation, found an amazing solution, and helped us navigate it. Once that was done, her husband and her wonderful family was able to set up our wedding to absolute perfection. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, relatable, and calming planner.

From Beginning to End
Working with Lu and Zan was wonderful. I live in NY and planned our small beach wedding via long distance. From beginning to end, I had to worries or stress. Lu totally made me feel relaxed and was so flexible and accommodating with all of my questions and requests. Despite the rainy weather on wedding day, they were fully prepared to move the venue because of the weather, but I insisted on continuing on the beach and they were absolute rock stars at making it work. They made the whole experience fun and beautiful. I can't say enough about their work, My husband and I were so thankful to them for putting us at ease and making that day worry free. Wow where do I start? Lu and Zan the owners of Sarasota Beach Weddings and Photography are phenomenal!! My husband and I hired them to capture our wedding day. We live out of state so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to to find the right person from the job. When I contacted them they responded very promptly, and their customer service was very professional. They assisted in finding a package that worked best for our event and within our budget. This is the first time my husband and I have ever had professional photos taken. Lu and Zan made both of us feel very comfortable like we had known them for years. Lu & Zan made everything very comfortable. They were a lot of fun and made the experience very pleasant. They helped with any/all questions that I had and were quick to respond. Lu and Zan are the most generous, professional, and talented photographers in the DMV and probably the country, hands down. During our almost 8 mos engagement they got to know me so well, and really made us feel comfortable and beautiful during the engagement session and wedding. They go above and beyond for their clients from scouting locations ahead of time, to making sure all the places we went to were pretty places to take photos and not crowded with tourists since in Georgetown, to making sure we found parking; I can’t say enough great things about them. Every single photo was breathtaking, creative, unique, and absolutely gorgeous. You don’t worry about a thing when working with Lu and Zan and you can see this is their passion and I just knew I could trust them with documenting the most important day of my life. We met Lu and Zan at a wedding expo in Baltimore. The second we saw their work we knew we wanted them to be our photographers. They met us at a coffee shop for our initial meeting. That meeting lasted over an hour, because once you start taking to Lu and Zan it's like talking to old friends. The connection was instant and I loved them! They did our engagement photos and our wedding. Lu is an AMAZING photographer. Her skills are unmatched. But more than her skills was her personality. She is the sweetest kindest person I've ever met. She makes you laugh and put you at ease when taking photos. On my wedding day she was more than a photographer, she was my everything. From relaxing me when things got stressful, to even making sure I had food and a drink. She also sent us our wedding photos less than a month after the wedding. I cannot say enough amazing things about Lu and Zan.

Lu & Zan are the absolute best! We chose to use Lee’s Photography/Photoart by Lu for our engagement photos and wedding photos based on their online portfolio. Once we actually started working with Lu and Zan, we knew we had made the right decision. After spending an evening with them taking our engagement photos they made us feel so comfortable with their professional and friendly attitude, that by the time the wedding came around it felt like our friends were there to take our pictures. Lu and Zan really work hard to provide you with the best service possible, and the result is gorgeous photos. They did not just make my husband and I feel comfortable, I actually had wedding guests coming up to me and commenting on how wonderful our photographer was based on personality alone. Lu and her husband did my wedding in April of 2016 and it was AMZING! Like, talking to her was so personal, she really took her time with you and makes you feel like you are the only person she is dealing with. She is beyond flexible and an amazing person to work with (She was also on time every meeting we had, and for the wedding). I had a lot of back and forth and unnecessary drama (unfortunately) on my day, but Lu literally brushed everything off and was concerned with me and me only (and my husband...lol). She did not let anything outside of her job effect her work. True professional. I got so many compliments on on my wedding album, and even how Lu and her husband conducted themselves at he wedding! I can not believe my pictures looked so good; seriously like in a magazine.
I will say they are pricey, but I look at my pictures at least once a month (once a week for about 4 months when I first got them) and can not find anything I would change. (I also did a payment plan and started paying for the pictures a little over 1 year before the wedding..it was barely $150.00 a month...USE THE PAYMENT PLAN! It does not seem nearly as expensive when its broken up).
I used them for my pregnancy shoot as well. Seriously, the best photographers you will ever come across. I know I said a lot, but truly amazing is this couple.

Photo Art by Lu was chosen by son and daughter-in-law as the photographer for their wedding that took place in July 2016. They were both professional and accommodating, taking all photos that were requested even when there was a delay in the original day's schedule. There were so many wonderful photographs taken, it was difficult choosing the ones to be included in the album, but once that was finally completed, Lu did a wonderful job with the layout and sent it back for approval very quickly. I'm thrilled with the finished product, which arrive much sooner than expected. Lu was a pleasure to work with.

She is very attentive, takes the time to get the best quality photos, is very responsive to your emails, and works unbelievably well with your other vendors to make your special day perfect. Her online wedding questionnaire and timeline makes organizing your wedding day easy and stress free so you make sure you get all of the pictures you want. Photography was one of the priority choices for us as we both wanted good photos to remember not only the ceremony but all the people we had gathered together. So we shopped many photographers at wedding shows and online. We walked by the Photo Art by Lu booth and caught our eye, looked over the samples and walked away - at the end of the day the one booth we both agreed we had to go back to was PhotoArt by Lu and talk to Zan. We looked into others that were less expensive but none fit our style. What we loved ahead of time - the lack of 'photo effects' we wanted good quality photos capturing people and their expressions not a bunch of rays of light or lens flare, and we wanted great candid shots - Most professional photographers can do good staged shots of the put bride her groom here wedding party here - but the capture us on the dance floor with that so in love look, or me laughing when he got me with an inside joke in the vows, or my bridesmaids face after toasting with champagne (She hates the taste). Those are the priceless images we will cherish forever - and we have the full set on USB drive. We will be going back for family photos and other events we want to capture.

Lu is amazing, just absolutely amazing. You can tell from the second you meet her that she loves what she does and when you see her work it's apparent that she is excellent. She was very responsive and goes out of her way to understand the couple's personality, the feel and tone of the wedding, and the type of photos the couple wants. The day of she just showed up and started snapping away, you never felt like she was there - yet the whole time she was capturing every moment. And she was super fun for the couple only shots - I actually was dreading getting pictures of myself taken and she made it so easy and fun.
We had our proofs about 2 weeks after the wedding and the thumb drive a week after that. Her work just blew me away. Our photos were seriously amazing and she captured everything. She also has a way of capturing the perfect candid shots.
Lu was amazing - I would highly highly recommend her!!!!!!

Lu and Zan were an amazing team. The photos for both our engagement session and wedding were stunning, and they captured the beauty of the venue and day perfectly. They were really responsive from day 1 when I first met them. I was only in VA for a weekend as I live out of town, but Lu and Zan were super flexible and able to meet with me at a local Panera on really short notice. In addition to being responsive, they were so fast! I got my wedding photos digitally while I was on my honeymoon! I couldn't believe how quickly I got everything. If I could change anything, I would have hired them for more hours on my wedding day so we could have taken more family photos. I've already recommended them to a few friends.

OUT OF THIS WORLD! I cannot say enough good things about Lu and Zan! As background, my husband and I had to move up our wedding date suddenly because of my father's health. We had already booked Lu and Zan for the big wedding we had planned, but needed a photographer for the new courthouse ceremony and dinner we had to plan in only three weeks. Lou and Zan committed to the event almost immediately. They worked with us on a reasonable price and were flexible as we ironed out the details. In such a stressful time, I cannot express how refreshing it was to work with a vendor who was so kind, down-to-earth, and willing to work with us as we made last-minute and sometimes-changing arrangements.
Needless to say, the photos are fantastic and more spectacular than I could have imagined! They are true artists and made my 5'2 self feel like a 5'10 model. Beyond this, Lu and Zan's upbeat, positive, and fun personalities made the day even more fabulous. They fit right in with the group and navigated multiple (big and demanding) personalities with ease. We had a few photos of the wedding emailed to us within the weekend, had access to our photos online within the week, and received our thumb-drive exactly one week later. Lu even rushed print orders so we could give framed photos as Christmas presents (we got married December 11). I will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know!

I have heard of many a horror story in regards to things that go wrong in regards to peoples weddings especially when it comes to being disappointed in the photos that the newlyweds are left with. Well, we can tell you that, that certainly is not the case with the photos we got and the whole experience of working with and getting to know both Lu and her husband. We met with them a few times prior to our nuptuals and felt very assured and confident that our day would be captured in a most beautiful and professional way. Lu and her husband are probably the most amazing duo you will ever meet!! Honestly, if it wasn't awkward I would probably call them up to be our new couple friends (and I'm pretty sure she'd love it)! We all know how important the photography is at your wedding and so we really made it a point to really search for a great photographer. My husband is actually the one who found Lu and loved the way she played with lighting and arranged the couples. The first time we talked to Lu what really set her apart in our minds was that she was so helpful! Once we talked she also gave us some questions we should always ask a photographer when searching for a good fit. She didn't have to do that at all, for all she knew we would take her advice and go with someone else, but she told us she has a passion for couples and loves what she does -it showed in that moment and every single one after. Clearly we hired her and I have never been more impressed with a vendor (and I work in the wedding industry)!
For our engagement shoot they got there early to "scout" the grounds and find the perfect places for us to take pictures. People told me how awkward the engagement photos could be, but by the time we were done laughing with her and her husband the shoot was done and we felt great! From that time on she kept in touch with us to make sure we were OK and helped us to figure out the timeline for photography. She is much more than a photographer, I tell you they are either super-hero's or just the most amazing couple! At our wedding my bridal party could not stop laughing as she made us all feel at ease and made my husband and I feel so special. She made sure what we wanted happened, kept us on time, and was just a ball of fun! She was worth every penny and two weeks later we have our photo-thumb drives in hand! I absolutely love her and when my husband and I talk back on that day she and her husband are two people we mention with smiles. Love ya Lu! I can't thank you enough!

Lu and her husband were an AMAZING team. First of all, she is very easy to get along with. She showed up and took charge of coordinating all the photos and event timing. She communicated with us every step of the way! Her and her husband worked so hard all night - out on the dance floor, taking requests for different guests. Our pictures that we got back are of amazing quality. There are so many I want to frame! Not only are our couple portraits beautiful but she managed to get almost everyone during the dancing part of the night! In case you don't already now this, wedding planning is incredibly stressful. Finding people who are reliable and good, such as a photographer (who captures the most important moments of your wedding), can also be very stressful....unless you select Lu. Lu and Zan are very down to earth, incredibly flexible, very responsive, and patient. During the wedding and reception they blended in and we almost forgot that they were there. They took excellent pictures and got every shot that we asked for. We could not be happier with our pictures. You can't go wrong with Lu!.

Lu and Zan are so much fun to work with. They included our engagement pictures in our price so it was nice to get to know them a bit before the big day. The two of them work so well together, are extremely flexible, and were at our beck and call all day. Lu really calmed me down during a major bridezilla moment, fanning me and getting me wine. Pat and I had so much fun with them during our solo shoot time and they really did anything we asked for! I cannot say enough good things about Lu and her husband. They truly know their way around great photography, techinically and composition wise, while being fun and flexible on our wedding day. She kept asking me if there were any other pictures I wanted and dealt with the groomsmen's craziness wonderfully. And there are a ton of amazing pictures from it, go figure. Their pricing was also very reasonable for QUALITY pictures. I don't often give 5/5 stars but they got it.

Breathtaking. Stunning. Imaginative. Those were all words spoken by our family and friends when they saw what incredible photos Lu and her team took at our wedding. My husband and I could not be happier with the way our photos came out, the laughs we all shared at the wedding, and the speed with which Lu works to edit your pictures and order the wedding album. Lu's creativity goes unmatched, and I would highly recommend her services to any bride to be!

I am beyond thrilled with Lu and her husband. My wedding was a little over 2 weeks ago and I already have my wedding photos and thumb drive in hand. Lu was amazing from the moment she arrived to the moment that she left the wedding reception. She was very accommodating and flexible with my budget. She helped me to create a package that I needed to make my wedding photography dreams come true. I was able to book her several months before my wedding, which was wonderful for the reasonable payment plan she has set up. Everything was electronic and stress free. 2 weeks before the wedding we got in touch to talk about ideas/moments and photos that I wanted to capture. Lu kept me calm when we were running behind schedule, she and her husband worked great with our wedding party and guests. I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say about this duo. They are well worth the money!

We are so happy we picked Lu and Zan to photograph our wedding. Lu was very responsive when we were searching for a photographer. Her and her husband met us right away, and immediately my husband and I had a connection. They both have very great personalities and make you feel like they really care about your day, and what you want. Lu helped with any uncertainties we had, and thanks to her honesty we created the perfect timeline and felt we got exactly what we wanted.
The day of, Lu and Zan arrived before we did cameras in hand, ready to begin. Never did they make us feel like a burden. Even if everyone wasn't ready, they were still capturing moments. They were absolutely amazing and it's obvious they love what they do. They did such a great job and our pictures are memories worth treasuring forever. Thank you Lu and Zan for all of your time and dedication to our day and making sure our photos were beautiful. You will not a find a better team to photograph your wedding!

Simply AMAZING! Lu is the absolute best! Our pictures are breathtaking. She captured so many special shots. She is so creative and really knows what she's doing. Everyone has been amazed at our pictures. She was a lot of fun and very easy to work with. She helped keep me calm before walking down the aisle. She is my favorite wedding vendor from my wedding. She was so amazing that she even did the bustle on my dress! They even stayed a little bit later than our contract time to get some shots of us leaving. My venue was the best decision I made, but Lu was the second best decision I made! We put a high premium on our photographs, because we knew that they would be all that was left of the day once it was over. From the minute we first met her, to our first full meeting with her in our home, we knew she was the one for us. Lu is not a budget-friendly photog by any means, but with photography in the DC area you get what you pay for. With Lu, you get more than just a photographer - you get a visual artist who understands light, lines, shadows and editing, and she produced gorgeous photographs that we will cherish forever. She is also such a calm and laid back person with a fantastic personality, and she and her husband Zan were an awesome addition to our day. Some of the awesome photos can be found in this post:
Excellent team who does phenomenal work! Lu and Zan were so very professional and made us both feel completely at ease on what could have easily been the most stressful day of our lives! Our only regret is how quickly the night went by, but we are so thankful that Lu and Zan were there to capture all the beauty and happiness around us. Lu and Zan were awesome to work with. They are married to each other and work great as a team. I found their business through a vendor search on weddingwire.com. They had excellent reviews, a beautiful portfolio and competitive prices. I was sold when Lu sent me albums of work they previously did at my venue (Oxon Hill Manor). They were amazing.
Lu and her husband met with us a few weeks before the wedding to walk through the venue, discuss desired shots and to get to know each other better. That was very helpful because the day of the wedding I had no doubt they knew what I expected from them. Lu was very good at “protecting” me from getting swept away in the rush of the wedding and made sure she captured all the beautiful photos I wanted.
Lu provided me with online proofs of the wedding pictures about two weeks after the wedding (a couple hundred pictures). I am impressed with her timeliness. Shortly after, I received a flash drive in the mail with all of the professional photos (a couple thousand—I chose the package where I wanted all my images in a digital file so I could later create the albums on my own).
The photos were STUNNING! They were better than I ever imagined my wedding photos to be. We had a vintage-elegant theme and they were great at capturing all the details throughout our wedding. My favorite shot is a picture my husband and I took with our rented 1952 Bentley. We posed how Lu told us to pose and BAM! That is now our and many of our friends’ and families’ favorite picture. The pictures turned out so wonderfully that is was difficult to choose my favorites to frame. The quality of our photos made that day feel even more special and beautiful. I will definitely choose Lu and Zan in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a skilled photographer who is fun to work with.

Lu and Zan did an amazing job photographing our wedding! I spoke to about 30 different photographers before going with them. I even spent hours online looking at this one, that one etc. Some of the main reasons why I chose Lu was because she was easy to talk to and her pictures were more then just "shots with a nice camera". We were able to communicate what we wanted and she was very helpful in providing ideas too. She is definitely a professional and you won't need to worry about anything except having the best day ever. I hardly noticed them through out the night and when I got the photos it was funny to see all the pics that were taken of which I didn't remember the camera even being there. The key shots were gotten and many other special moments as well. There are so many things to do to put together a wedding and you want a team that will make it stress free. PhotoArt by Lu fulfilled this for us!

For my husband and I, getting the right photographer was the most important part in planning our wedding once we secured our venue/ caterer. We didn't want a videographer, so we knew our pictures would have to tell the story, thus the photographer would have to be amazing.
We chose Lu from dozens of Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area photographers. Her work stands out above the rest with a perfect mix of formal, candid, and photojournalistic pictures. Lu's awesome personality is an added bonus!
In addition to the beautiful images she creates, working with Lu and her husband, Zan was a pleasure. They are professional and really listen to what their clients want to capture from their event. They also provide terrific customer service.

Lu is an amazing photographer with an awesome personality that makes you feel like she's one of your friends, not just a vendor. Lu was very responsive throughout the wedding planning process and her prices are very reasonable compared to other photographers in the area. Less than 2 weeks after our wedding, we received the online gallery of all of our wedding pictures and then received thumb drives of all the pictures just a few days later. We are thrilled with the results and would definitely recommend booking Lu for your wedding!

Like, talking to her was so personal, she really took her time with you and makes you feel like you are the only person she is dealing with. She is beyond flexible and an amazing person to work with (She was also on time every meeting we had, and for the wedding). I had a lot of back and forth and unnecessary drama (unfortunately) on my day, but Lu literally brushed everything off and was concerned with me and me only (and my husband...lol). She did not let anything outside of her job effect her work. True professional. I got so many compliments on on my wedding album, and even how Lu and her husband conducted themselves at he wedding! I can not believe my pictures looked so good; seriously like in a magazine.
