A+ all around!

Piper & Pat were the perfect match for our wedding photography needs. From the start, Piper spent *quality* time getting to know us as individuals and as a couple so that she had the lay of the land for our wedding. We knew we were in good hands all leading up to the wedding, but were even happier the day of when we experienced Piper & Pat's true talent. We can't thank Piper & Pat enough for the absolutely perfect experience from day 1 through our wedding. We cannot recommend them enough for capturing your big and little life moments. Thank you a million times over for everything you did for us and all the work you did behind the scenes to create an experience we will never forget and the support you provided on one of the most important days of our lives. Working with Piper and Pat was one of the best parts of our wedding experience. From beginning to end, Piper was fantastic. We first met Piper at the annual LGBTQ Wedding Expo. She was attentive and passionate about what she does. One year later we returned to the Expo, because we had finally picked a date or dates I should say. We were getting married on 5/17/18 and having our reception on 6/2/18. Piper let us know from the jump that this would not be a problem. We set a time via phone to discuss what we wanted and in the conversation Piper made us feel like she truly cared. We hung up knowing that we wanted Piper Jo Nevins Photography.
During our ceremony, Piper was a calming presence. She was attuned to me and what I was feeling. She kept time for myself and family and just made me feel at ease. Pat was great with my wife. My wife was very happy with the time they spent together taking photos. It was a great pairing!
During the ceremony, they weren't intrusive and stayed in such good spirits the entire time.
At the reception, they were awesome! My guests lovingly named them Paparazzi!
The pictures were great! I fell in love with my photos immediately. We are very happy with the choice we made.
Piper is not just a photographer when she is with you. She is a supportive, calming, compassionate friend.

John and I would like to take a moment to thank you for making our wedding a wonderful love affair that we will enjoy reliving for the rest of our lives. The photos you sent us, on our living room wall and in our photo album, captivate your unbelievable imagination, skill, and professionalism. They reveal the love you have for your work. Your ability to work with hotel management, the DJ, and our guest made the reception an unmitigated success. John and I felt comfortable with you by our side. Your experience and knowledge of weddings made everything run beautifully. The little things like helping me with my dress and John with his boutonniere show your willingness to go the extra mile for your clients, or should I say your new friends. We got all that we asked for, and more! We’ll remember you affectionately.

Piper asks wonderful questions, and makes thoughtful comments and suggestions that made our special day seamless and thoroughly enjoyable. Part of the photographer's job is to get to know you, your personalities, your likes and dislikes, Piper is intuitive but also very thorough. A gem. Oh and did I mention her photographs are amazing, unique,and complete treasures? Well now I have!

Piper is amazing and not just her pictures, She is such an awesome person to be around. Me and my wife new she was the right fit for our photographer right away. We have a very big family and was worried that we was going to spend to much time just on family pictures, but Piper had the whole thing organized and with the help of her amazing wife Pat, it went so smoothly. I would recommend Piper to everyone.

I understand weddings can be a hectic time with all the planning and choosing vendors and I will never regret our decision to go with Piper Jo Nevins Photography. She was extremely accommodating, understanding, and attentive. The day was quite emotional for me and it was very helpful having Piper by our side. She was very calming and always looked out for our best interest. Taking photos can be awkward sometimes but very quickly you forget you are being photographed and it just becomes fun. I highly recommend Piper to anyone.

Working with Piper was a DREAM! She was incredible to my wife and I on our big day. She took time to understand what was important to us and what shots needed to be captured that day, but what sets her apart is her. She immediately has a calming effect on you and makes you feel like you are the only person in the world; she feels like a friend you have known for years. Not only does she take amazing photographs but she somehow manages to capture the emotion and love from that moment. Looking back on the pictures from our big day I still get goosebumps from her images. I will absolutely be using her services in the future!

We have the distinct pleasure of sharing with the world our experience using Piper and Pat of Piper Jo Nevins Photography for our wedding on Labor Day. Simply put, they are photographic perfection! We had the luxury of working with these ladies in the past at a numerous charity events, so the decision to hire them was easy. What I was not prepared for was just how easy the whole experience was, the degree of attention to detail, yet at no time were they obtrusive and in fact many times throughout the day, they reminded us to stop and savor the moment! Honestly, it was like having two more family members helping us navigate our special day! The photos are simply works of art! The interplay between colors and patterns, candid and serious, action and still shots, is nothing short of genius and my only regret is that they are not there to make us look this good every day of our lives!

I am a florist that has had the good fortune of working with Piper. She has such an amazing, artful eye! I am confident that my flower arrangements are wonderful, but Piper's photographs take it to the next level....she really captures the beauty. I only choose to work closely with vendors who truly care about their clients, and Piper is the real deal. I cannot express how passionate she is about her work. She puts her heart and soul into her art and I know that her customers are always exceptionally pleased!

Make sure to talk with your vendors. Make sure they understand what your needs and wants are. Most vendors will work with you to get the services you want and keep your budget in mind! I found this to be so true with Piper - she took the time to listen to what was most important to me; helped me map out my day and the art that was produced far exceeded my wildest dreams. Her professional level of service leading up to, on the day of the wedding and following was simply superb. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Piper's work and professionalism are top notch. She took the time to get to know us and our family and thus captured more of our special day than others may have. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Piper! We contacted her after seeing the gorgeous photos on her website, knowing she had the kind of artistic aesthetic we were looking for. We were planning our same-sex wedding from across the country, and Piper immediately began phone consultations with us to get to know us and understand our personalities and style. The kinds of questions she asked actually helped us to think more deeply about our ceremony and reception, and we were able to make more intentional choices in keeping with our values because of her input. As the day drew near and we traveled to the east coast, the weather became more menacing and it looked like we were going to have to postpone the wedding by a couple of days. Piper was extremely reassuring and accommodating and helped us to stay focused and centered on the important things, even as our guest list (and therefore our shot list) was rapidly changing! The day of the wedding, she and her partner were there at every turn, capturing every moment possible. I marvel at how the two of them seemed to be everywhere at once, yet remain so unobtrusive. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, warm, hydrated, and relaxed. We have said all along that we received a lot more than photography with Piper! We received guidance, reassurance, and cheerleading, all with professionalism, grace, creativity, and incredible skill and artistry. We couldn't be happier with our photos and loved the whole experience of working with Piper Jo Nevins!

My husband & I were introduced to Piper by a friend had had worked with them for several years on various drum corp projects. We originally were not planning on hiring a photographer as it just wasn't in the budget. However, from my initial conversation with Piper, I knew we had to have her! There was no doubt about. Talking with her is like chatting with an old friend, not a vendor you were potentially looking to hire. She has such an ease about her. After a few conversations, she worked up a photography package that not only worked within our "Ramen noodle" budget (haha), but also included more than I could have ever dreamed of. Fast forward to the big day. Piper & her team arrive, right on time, to find that we are running severely behind. Upon hearing this, they didn't even bat an eyelash, they just jumped right into the shooting as if everything was completely normal. We were all laughing in no time. It was like just having some more girlfriend's over while getting ready for the most important day of your life (so far that is). When I finally made it to my ceremony, they moved things right along, made everyone feel so at ease. My husband (who HATES having his picture taken) was so relaxed, and had a blast taking all those hundreds of pictures.

There will never be enough words to truly convey how phenomenal Piper & her partner are. They were the icing on the cake of an amazing day. They went above & beyond in every possible way. Working with Piper Jo Nevins Photography was best decision we could have ever made!
