We set up a weekend to tour a handful of venues in the Walker, MN area. When we drove into the entrance at Pine Peaks, we knew this was our place. We got married in July of 2024 and booked the reception hall and retreat house Thursday-Sunday. We had immediate family and our small wedding parties stay with us in the retreat house and invited extended family out to see the venue on Friday evening after our rehearsal. Everyone loved everything the venue had to offer. We heard many times that it was an "experience" not just a wedding weekend. The retreat house and extended rental helps you really enjoy the weekend and those surrounding you on your special day. Priscilla officiated our wedding, and she is made for this job in every way. She has such a calm but organized and structured way about her. We never worried that things were going to go off without a hitch. We loved that we got to go visit the venue for a catering menu tasting, and we were treated like royalty when we were there! We settled on the BBQ meal, and the guests RAVED about the food for weeks to come. David really knocked it out of the park with that one. You won't be disappointed if you make a visit to Pine Peaks, and I highly suggest booking this venue if you're looking for a beautiful venue and amazing hosts! -

Worth every penny
We are so happy that we decided to have our wedding at Pine Peaks! Having the retreat house for us and our immediate families was amazing. Getting the entire place Thursday-Sunday is what sold us! We were able to take our time decorating, and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy too. Corey is a great guy, always friendly and willing to help with anything! We really enjoyed him. He is a big reason as to what makes this place great! We didn’t see Priscilla quite as much, but each interaction with her was great and it was nice to see her working as part of the serving/kitchen staff! We continue to get several compliments on how beautiful our wedding was, and how great the food was. We for sure recommend Pine Peaks! -

Wouldn't have been married anywhere else...
I cannot begin to express how amazing our wedding day was. Priscilla is kind, caring, and such a fun person to work with! She was able to be accommodating with COVID and push our wedding date back a whole year! The retreat house is an excellent way to have close family and the bridal party stay at because it is just a few feet away from the event center and its amazing!! All our guests that stayed there had nothing but good things to say. Also, lets not forget to mention Corey and the bartender Ryan. The only way to describe Corey is incredible! He stepped in last minute to run our ceremony music, helped set things up that I didn't even know would be possible but was what my dream was, and was always around to answer questions or have a good laugh! And Ryan, he was so nice and sweet to all of our guests! Very accommodating by making our "special cocktail" and was always there when we needed to take a breather from the dance floor and have a chat! I cannot say enough good things about Pine Peaks and I am so glad we chose them for our wedding venue. It was magical and everything we could of dreamed of. THANK YOU so much to everyone who helped. We could not of done it without all of you!! -

You will NOT be disappointed!!
Julie, Dave, Corey, Priscilla, & David made our wedding weekend SO easy and smooth. They were beyond helpful and so eager to do anything to make our day perfect. From the minute we arrived Wednesday until the moment we left, they were all fantastic to work with. I hands down recommend Pine Peaks for your wedding. We have gotten so many compliments on our wedding and the food that was served. It was so nice being able to check in on Wednesday and begin decorating on Thursday, and even nicer that they did the clean up on Sunday. We had access to the endless decor for both the wedding and grooms dinner, which was held in the pavilion on Friday and they cleaned and re-decorated for the wedding Saturday! Our wedding weekend was something we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives, all thanks to Pine Peaks♥️ -

Our experience with Pine Peaks for our wedding was nothing short of amazing. The owners and staff were available and willing to accommodate any needs! The venue was breathtaking once completely decorated and we wouldn’t trade our experience for anything. Despite a treacherous Minnesota blizzard That reduced our wedding guest count by 50%, staff was present, accommodating, and wonderful. I will never have enough wonderful things to say about Dave, Julie, and Cory. any needs! The venue was breathtaking once completely decorated and we wouldn’t trade our experience for anything. Harry Potter Dream Wedding
My family and I cannot recommend Pine Peaks Event Center enough. They were absolutely amazing making our dream wedding into a reality. When looking for a venue, a secluded area was a must as we did not want other people to be in or around our wedding. We wanted to also make sure everything was in the same area for our guests so they did not need to travel to different places. Also, we wanted somewhere nearby for our friends and family traveling far away to stay. Pine Peaks had all of this! The Pine Peaks hotel is right up the road, all activities could be held in the large building, and it was in a very secluded area with dazzling lights covering the trees and beautiful outside decor. When we did the tour of Pine Peaks we were completely blown away by how large and accommodating the building was as well as how stunning everything was. It was gorgeous. With the venue, you also get an entire loft full of decor you can use, help setting everything up by the amazing Cory who helped beyond what we expected, immediate response if we ever had questions about anything from Dave and Julie, and so much more. Also, they have a caterer already associated with them (Maucieri's Italian Bistro) so that was one less thing we had to worry about and the food was delicious! We had a Harry Potter wedding which we were unsure how any venue would react to that but Dave and Julie were so kind, flexible, and excited to try something new. They let us come in a day early to get settled in and were there everyday helping us with whatever we needed. They also let me and my husband stay an extra day in the retreat house. Julie was an amazing help giving us advice of how to set things up, ideas for decorating, etc. Dave made sure that all our questions were answered so we were prepared and comfortable months before the wedding. Cory was amazing helping us set everything up and truly was such a blessing to have during all the days we were there so we did not have to worry about much. They all went above and beyond for us. A few examples...I forgot my white bridal robe for the morning of the wedding at my home which is 30 minutes away from the venue. I was having a slight panic attack since all my bridesmaids had gold robes but one of the owners Julie, at 7 in the morning, brought one she had to me. Also, there was a lot of snow on the ground being middle of December and there was a beautiful area of trees we wanted to take pictures but couldn’t because of the snow. But, Cory shoveled an entire patch and huge circle out for us so we could take pictures! Lastly, they purchased magnets for us to help hang our floating candles which we never would have thought of! I could go on forever about how perfect and amazing our wedding was because of this place and the help from Julie, Dave, and Cory. I very highly recommend them. It could not have been more perfect! -

We had our wedding September 28 at pine peaks. Julie, Dave, and Corey were all beyond amazing! They thought of every little detail and went above and beyond to make my wedding vision a reality. It was more than I could've imagined. Having the Retreat house starting the Wednesday before the wedding was so convenient for setting up and planning. I couldn't imagine having to do it all on our own in less than a day. If you are looking for a stress free wedding celebration with great people to work with this is your venue! -

“It was the most beautiful wedding that I have ever been to!” The comment I heard over and over again about our daughter’s wedding at Pine Peaks Wedding and Event Center. I can’t thank Dave, Julie & Cory enough for all they did to make the wedding week such an extraordinary event!, it was magical! The help they gave us to hold the rehearsal dinner & ceremony at our lake home made our job as parents much easier. The reception hall was exquisite and having the lodge there on the grounds made for a great gathering place along with hosting the bridal party. I loved being able to have had a place for me to get ready along with all the girls and our out of state guests. Pine Peaks was a dream come true for our daughter and son-in-law, and a great burden off their parents. To have a place that offers so much was a true blessing and a great find in northern Minnesota! Many 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 to the Petersons and to Pine Peaks Wedding & Event Center!! -

Long Weekend Wedding
When we looked for wedding venues, every place had restrictions. For example: can't start set-up until Friday night, must be out by 6am Sunday morning, no loud noise, no campers, no pets, or can't bring anything of any kind of your own.
Not Pine Peaks! From the first time you talk to or meet Julie or Dave (husband-wife superteam), you will be blown away with how flexible, inclusive, creative, and friendly they are! Despite having a wedding every weekend, they talk to you like you're the only or first bride they've ever worked with.
We live out of state, which made choosing this venue an easy decision. They have an entire loft and outdoor storage areas filled with classy, beautiful, rustic, sparkly, romantic, and creative decorations. This was a game changer, because I barely brought/bought anything for decorations to the venue. And we had a beautiful wedding!
The freedom and inclusiveness of Pine Peaks is the best thing a bride could ask for!
We were able to show up Wednesday and use the Retreat House to have family only barbeque to let the two families meet. Thursday we had all day and evening to sip (our own) wine and set up the venue to however we wanted. We didn’t have to bring in boxes and boxes of decorations that we purchased and transported, but rather just run upstairs to the Treasure Room to create our beautiful wedding decor. When we arrived, they had all the tables, chairs, booth/buffet tables all set up in the venue. Friday, they also had our rehearsal dinner set up in the covered outdoor pavilion with beautiful tablecloths and chairs. We saved so much money by bringing in our own food and alcohol for the Rehearsal Dinner. We had full use of the property for games, food, rehearsal, and a bonfire.
Saturday was a dream. We utilized every inch of the property, and no extra cost! Using the Retreat House for getting ready and hosting our wedding party, post-ceremony tractor rides, indoor and outdoor bar for cocktail hour, games, smores and bonfire, 10pm free woodfired pizzas, and the amazing Maucieri’s catering! Plus after the vendor bar closes at midnight, we were able to play our own music and bring in our own coolers. There’s no “lights out by or music off by” any certain time.
We felt so special all week and weekend! Julie is so creative and eager, Dave is so thorough and easy-going, and Cory is a secret weapon you’ll meet the week of your wedding. All our guests kept telling us how amazed they were with the beautiful venue, and you will feel the same when you choose Pine Peaks. They make you feel like family😊

Pine Peaks is absolutely beautiful and convenient. The staff members are very knowledgeable and helpful. Dave, Julie, and Corey know exactly how to help coordinate all of the events during the wedding day as well as have a back up plan if need be (for example, if it rains). All of the staff members were incredibly professional and friendly. They always had a smile on their face. I would highly recommend Pine Peaks. -

Matt and I are so lucky to have found Pine Peaks! Because they are located 3 hours from the Minneapolis airport, they've made themselves an all-inclusive wedding venue. They provided on site lodging for us, the wedding party and our families, they had tables, chairs, a room FULL of decorations, and caterers via Maucieris catering. They also gave us a discount because our wedding was during the off season (early April). AND they purchased centerpieces for us (I found them on Amazon and Pine Peaks paid for them and kept them afterwards). But what made them truly special, was their genuine care and attention to every detail. A few days before we arrived, Julie (co-owner), decorated the cocktail hour room based on our theme. She helped with all of the setup and decorations, but without ever overstepping. Long story short, they will work with you to make sure your wedding is what you want it to be. I would highly, highly recommend them! -

Dave, Julie and Cory did such an outstanding job that I’m not sure a review will do them justice, but I will try.
My husband and I booked Pine Peaks Event Center pretty far in advance of our wedding and from day one, Dave and Julie were accommodating in every possible way. They sent us plenty of information to get us started and once we had our official tour of the site, we knew it was the place we wanted for our wedding day.
They allowed us to visit the site a few times between booking and the day of, which was great in helping get us an idea of how we wanted things to look and also be able to see the site in different weather conditions.
For the weeks leading up to the wedding, Dave and Julie were amazing with communication. We knew we wanted to use a large portion of their decorations from Julie’s treasures room, but wanted to make sure all of the details were just right. Julie emailed, texted, and called to ensure I had pictures, answers and reassurance the entire way through.
The week of the wedding and wedding day was nothing short of perfect (even with rain). Cory came in and set up everything, just the way we wanted it. He took every request we threw at him and ran with it. He had the best attitude and made everything just so easy. Julie and Dave also ensured we had everything we needed right from the start. Julie had great suggestions that helped us immensely when we weren’t quite sure what to do and that also made everything so simple for us.
The retreat house is a huge added bonus that our entire wedding party benefitted from. It was enough room for all of us, convenient being located right next to the venue and just an overall amazing place to stay with great amenities and a beautiful view. It made the entire experience feel more special and intimate than a hotel or other location to stay in.
From answering my countless emails, to ensuring every forgotten detail was thought of and handled, I can not recommend Pine Peaks Event Center enough. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and to make your day (and honestly the months leading up to it) as easy as possible. They include amazing extras like late night pizzas for guests, tractor rides around the property, fire pits for s’mores and so much more. The venue is beautiful any time of year with the surrounding landscape and we are just so happy with how everything turned out.
Thank you Dave, Julie and Cory. We will never forget our wedding day and it’s in huge part thanks to you three.

Perfect venue, perfect wedding weekend
Dave, Julie, Cory and everyone else involved at Pine Peaks do everything they can to make your wedding weekend perfect in every way! They are truly wonderful people, and it shines through in the business they run! as a busy medical student, I didn't have tons of time to spend planning/decorating for my wedding, but wedding planners, decorations and most all-inclusive type venues were prohibitively costly for us. My biggest priority in selecting a wedding venue was a balance between cost and ease of planning. The second we toured Pine Peaks with Julie, we knew our search was over. The venue is beautiful, the treasure room is an incredible resource for any DIY bride that doesn't have time to DIY and Dave, Julie and the team are so experienced that you can rest at ease that your big day will go smoothly. Having the venue for the entire long weekend is an incredible perk, allowing you to not only celebrate on the wedding day, but also have the time to enjoy and relax surrounded by your family and friends. We could not be happier with our choice to get married at Pine Peaks and we would recommend this venue to anyone! -

Amazing Winter Wedding
We had a such a fabulous weekend at Pine Peaks Event Center. Dave and Julie are so awesome! If we had an idea about the space, they made it happen.
We have received so many compliments from how helpful everyone was, how pretty it was, and the flow of the entire weekend! It was a gorgeous property and we had a Family and Friends Dinner the night before the wedding, the ceremony, and the reception all at the Event Center. Our wedding party stayed with us at the Retreat House and are still talking about how fun it was for all of us to be together! Some of our wedding party brought snow shoes and went around the property, they took advantage of the sauna, and we walked over to the Event Center the morning of the wedding and did yoga on the dance floor. It was a magical winter escape with all the people we love and we could not be more please with how the weekend went. Thanks Dave, Julie, Cory and all the Pine Peaks Crew that made it happen!

Pine Peaks is amazing!
My husband and I are so happy we went with Pine Peaks for our wedding weekend. Two reasons made us ultimately choose Pine Peaks: 1) you are able to be there from Wednesday through Sunday rather than just 24 hours, and 2) their huge decoration library meant that I didn’t have to spend an extensive amount of time creating my own decorations or spending loads of money on them. They had everything I needed regarding decoration. The space, inside and out, is already so beautiful I didn’t need much to make it into my vision. The days leading up to the wedding were great - because of the Retreat House, our entire wedding party was there for support. The parking space for campers allowed our parents to be there as well. Dave & Julie were there everyday to answer questions or offer help, as well as their staff, Corey, who was also super helpful throughout the entire experience. I never had an issue with communication. Our wedding day was amazing!!! Dave, Julie and Corey were there to help all day. The only suggestion I have for the venue is to offer options for catering, rather than hold an exclusive contract with Maurceries. The food was great, but I was disappointed with bar staff. That being said, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Thank you Pine Peaks!!! -

The BEST place to get married. Dave and Julie really know what they’re doing and made this such a smooth and easy process. They had ALL the decorations and more and Julie really has an eye for decoration and making it exactly how you want. They are very organized and have so many fun ideas. The retreat house was so nice to have as well! We had our whole wedding party with us the whole weekend and we had so much fun. Both the event center and retreat house are beautiful and worked out so well. The land that the event center is on is beautiful and there are tons of pine trees around so it’s lerfect for outdoor pictures. Highly recommend this place!!! -

Pine Peaks Event Center amazed us at every turn. They have every last detail down, especially the ones we did not think of! Although we believed we came in with a good grip on everything (and we did have the majority of the important details covered), Dave, Julie, and Cory filled in all the gaps to make our day more special than we ever hoped for. They provided excellent help and ideas wherever the opportunity arose, and yet they also allowed us to execute our own vision and dreams however we so desired for all the aspects of the wedding that we had predetermined ambitions for. The partner vendors worked together seamlessly to make the entire process effortless for us.
We cannot emphasize enough that Pine Peaks is not merely a beautiful building set out in a delightful countryside setting; the owners and staff made a personal investment of their time and energy to bring our dream wedding to life and treated us like their own family. We could not be happier with our decision to book Pine Peaks Event Center for our special day. We would encourage anyone looking for the perfect place for their own ideal wedding to come visit this wonderful locale, and we are looking forward to returning here to celebrate the weddings of friends and family who have already told us they felt the same magic we experienced in this fabulous setting. -

Ashley Sent on 10/10/2018I have not one regret with our decision to book with Pine Peaks. I wish I could go into more detail but I would literally be typing all day. From the convenience and ease of having the retreat house and event center right next to each other, to their treasure room and being able to have full access to decorate your own way - this venue is everything that you could possibly dream of. Our wedding day went so smoothly due to the amount of staff and help that they had to make every transition easy! The land and venue itself is beautiful and so peaceful. I am so grateful that we chose to have our wedding here and will continue to recommend it to every newly engaged couple.

It was so beautiful and serene and they really let you customize the space anyway you want to match your vision. It had everything I was looking for: open fields for pictures, tractor ride, bonfire, gorgeous venue space inside and out, amazing catering option, cabin feel. The staff was beyond helpful and helped make my vision come alive! I kept saying to my husband how much I hope one of our friends gets married here so we can go back to Pine Peaks!! It was worth every penny! It truly was my dream wedding thanks to Pine Peaks and their amazing staff!

Dave and Julie go above and beyond to make this a stress free experience. They were flexible, helpful and caring not only preparing for the event but also on the wedding day! I had many guests comment on their attentiveness and kindness during the reception. The grounds are kept absolutely stunning during the summertime. You can use any of their hundreds of onsite decorations (and/or use your own). AND we felt like we got more for our money by getting to rent out the retreat house Th-Sun instead of spending all that money for only one day. They truly help YOU create the wedding of your dreams!!

Having the entire wedding party stay at the Retreat house was a wonderful way for everyone to bond and truly make a joyous memorable weekend! Pinepeaks has a plethora of fabulous decorations to choose from which made the decorating process a fantastically fun part of the weekend. Plus, Pinepeaks takes care of the decoration clean up! Pinepeaks has thought of everything that you could possibly need (and want) to help make your wedding weekend stress-free and perfect. We went with several of their preferred vendors and have absolutely no regrets because they all work together like a well oiled machine. The food was amazing, guests were safely shuttled to and from, and music kept everyone on the dance floor all night long!

Amber Sent on 12/31/2017We looked at so many different venues both online and in person until we finally found the one! Pine peaks was beyond perfect for us, they completely exceeded our hopes and expectations. The highlights for us and the must have for our venue was we didn't have to set up and tear down all in the same day. We had from Wednesday to Sunday to do what we needed, and we didn't even have to clean up, just grab whatever we brought!! Since we had all that time there we were able to have our rehearsal dinner there along with spend time with friends and family in the beautiful retreat house! Next every thing was included, all the other places required us to go through separate companies for chair covers, back lights or really anything. But here they had it all, all the decorations I could dream of plus some!
Our families were pretty hesitant about us having a wedding so far away but once they were there and they saw the natural beauty of it and everything that it was they were sold as well. The one piece that tied it all together was Dave and Julie. No matter what we needed or questions I had they were there instantly! Julie ran around with my personal attendant the whole morning of our wedding helping set up and making things perfect. She had the most amazing ideas and was willing to go where needed. At the end of the day none of us could of been any happier with how everything went! -

Destiny Sent on 10/16/2017Dave and Julie were absolutely wonderful! I had absolutely zero stress on my wedding day because them. The venue was gorgeous and our day was perfect. I would encourage anyone looking for a venue to visit with them!
That being said, I was less than thrilled with the catering service they require you to use. Maucieri's has great food and was great to plan with! However, the day of the wedding wasn't as great as I had hoped. We had agreed on 3 different types of BBQ sauce, only two were actually provided. Not a big deal. I was mostly dissatisfied because the servers decided to clear plates before we were finished. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, my plate was gone! This also happened to my friend who left to breastfeed. Wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't take all the good away 20 minutes after the last person got their meal. When you're doing speeches, visiting, thank you's, etc., it would be nice to not have to scarf down all your food in hopes of keeping it.
Overall, I would have my wedding there again. I literally had to worry about nothing and that was worth far more to me than a plate of food.

They are so accommodating, and so wonderful to work with. The retreat house is perfect, the grounds are beautiful. We had DAYS to decorate, do our flowers, and relax with the wedding party in front of a fire on the porch. On the day of, Dave & Julie were there through it all, making sure everything went down flawlessly! We didn't have to bring in ANY of our own decorations as they had everything we wanted in the treasure chest. You will not find a wedding venue, for this price with this customer service anywhere else. I have recommended them to friends, and will make it a priority to visit in the coming years!
