Megan Sent on 04/15/2018Jenny is all the things that we wanted in a wedding photographer that we didn't know we wanted in a wedding photographer! Having never hired a photographer before, it was all a bit overwhelming, especially in the wedding space as there are just SO many options.
Before meeting Jenny via Skype, my now husband and I had a conversation with another Seattle-based photographer (also by Skype as we were doing all the planning remotely from Oregon). While this other photographer had a really nice portfolio, we left that lackluster conversation feeling very....meh. Very...discouraged.
Then... **Dun dun da dahhhh!!!** Enter Jenny on her magical steed of friendliness, creativity, responsiveness, obvious talent and warmth. She immediately understood the kind of photography that we wanted for our wedding day - FUN! As I explained during that first conversation, we are not the "groom kissing bride's forehead at sunset in a field" kind of couple. She also asked about things we liked to do together and what we loved about each other, seeming genuinely interested and curious about us.
Jenny has a knack for making you feel relaxed and free - catching the tiny moments between moments beautifully. We spent about an 1.5 hours before our ceremony galavanting around the streets near our venue for our couples photos. Jenny had previously scouted the area and took us to some awesome nooks that I never knew existed, including a super bright fuchsia wall of an apartment building that I just loved! Following all that, she orchestrated our family portrait time well, even with our two crazy families all over the place. While being the utmost of a professional, Jenny just seemed to blend into the party the entire night. Many of our guests commented about how great Jenny was.
Our wedding was on a Saturday night and by Monday evening Jenny had already sent us some teasers, which were all AWESOME and I cannot wait to see the rest!
I highly recommend Jenny!!! -

User2794285 Sent on 09/30/2016Jenny was amazing to work with in advance and ahead of our wedding day. We and the bridal party party loved working with her! And her teaser photos have been amazing so far! She was also very flexible in going offsite for a few minutes after our ceremony. -

She embodies everything I would've wanted for my own wedding a few years ago---her photography style, funky fresh personality, being swift as a rabbit in communication, and overall, a darn good vendor and pal to know for the rest of your life. I'm a wedding coordinator and how blessed I was to get paired up with Jenny for a San Francisco wedding. From a vendor's perspective, Jenny was awesome to partner with and hustled like a boss to capture the most unique shots I've ever seen. Her teasers left me breathless. Don't bother looking anywhere else. If you want your event photos to just be REAL with no fluff and showcase the happiness of that very moment-- no "ands, ifs, buts" about it, Jenny is the best camera chica to hire and truly is the bomb!!(drop the mic) -

Our photos are so beautiful and she captured everything about our wedding that we hoped for. She's very energetic and stealthy as she moves around the venue, snapping photos. -

First, she is a consummate professional. From initial consultation to the wedding day, Jenny is the epitome of an organized business woman who remains calm (even FUN) under pressure. Prior to the wedding, she offers invaluable and practical advice, and responds quickly to emails with questions.
Jenny has wedding photography down to a science. Whether it’s getting an impossible giggle out of stiff Uncle Bob, shooting your bridal party through her legs while she is sliding into a split, or making up time when the couple is falling behind schedule, Jenny truly can handle (and make the most of) anything that comes her way.
Why I loved working with Jenny:
1. She’s so cool. One of those people who makes you feel like you’ve known her forever within minutes of meeting her.
2. She knows how to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, focusing on candid shots and natural interactions.
3. She scouts your ceremony & reception locations before the wedding so she can find awesome settings for your photos.
4. She is a photo ninja – showing up just as that special moment is about to naturally unfold, and getting down on the dance floor with the craziest crowd to make sure all angles of the party are covered. (I think at one point she was lying on her back on the dance floor & we were all crowded over her smiling into her lens!)
5. She has a mean high kick.
I sound like I am girl crushing, and maybe I am, but literally all of my friends and family were raving about Jenny after the wedding. She was our photographer and the life of the party at the same time. Where does she get the energy?!
We hired Jenny for our NYC wedding and it one of the BEST decisions we made. She traveled from Seattle and her rates (including travel) were comparable to all the local NY photogs we spoke with. Call Jenny, trust me, you'll be hooked!

User1812823 Sent on 09/16/2014Jenny and Rosie photographed our wedding last month and did an amazing job. All of my friends loved them. They got into the mix without getting in your face, danced, laughed, and felt like actual guests at our party, rather than "on the job". That said, Jenny runs an extremely professional business. Is always on time, prepared to work, and always willing to meet your needs. Her photo journalistic style captures moments rather than poses and personalities rather than people. We got a sneak peak at some photos just a week after our wedding and can't wait to get the rest. Would HIGHLY recommend her!

She went above and beyond in her coverage of our wedding day - coming earlier than I expected to the girls' prep room and staying all the way until the end of the reception to get some amazing night shots as the groom and I left. Jenny is fun, hardworking and extremely talented. She even went the extra mile to have some photos ready at breakfast the next morning for guests to see before they headed out. As we are looking at the photos now they are an amazing mix of memories and art - exactly what I'd dreamed of for my wedding day.
