Karla was instrumental in the success of my daughters wedding. She was very responsive and helpful when I needed information regarding the venue and other vendors during this time. She kept everything running on time and flowing smoothly. I was planning from out of state so it was imperative that we have a good coordinator for this special day. Karla delivered! As the parents of the bride, you want your daughter’s special day to be magical and perfect. For that to happen, a LOT of things need to be considered and executed. Karla, without question, made it all happen. She worked with us in two phases; planning and execution.

In the planning phase she was accessible and quick to answer any questions or offer advice. We appreciated her expertise and relationships locally. That helped us navigate vendor selections. As all plans for the wedding day came together, we felt like this day was as important to her as it was to us.

The execution was an amazing wedding weekend. There were no surprises or hiccups (and if there were…we didn’t know about it and it was handled). Karla was there from start to finish…ensuring set up, ceremony, reception and clean up all went fine. If you want to enjoy EVERY minute of the wedding you’re planning...we have no hesitation in recommending Karla, Petals and Lace.

Fantastic Experience and the Wedding of my Dreams!

Karla and her team were so great for our wedding, I cannot recommend enough! Karla was extremely helpful and detailed the whole time leading up to the wedding, answering my many questions and helping me make the right decisions for our day. The vendors she recommended were also all amazing! During the wedding weekend and on day of, she was such a blessing to have - I was able to totally focus on getting ready and didn't worry about any details at all on the day. She took so much off of my plate and my family's plate, handling all the coordination and details, and we really were able to fully relax and enjoy the time, knowing it was all being taken care of so well by Karla. She is professional, organized, and is focused on making sure your wedding is just what you want. I was so impressed and thankful to have her guide the day so seamlessly!

Karla was absolutely crucial to my wedding day! She is extremely professional, organized, proactive, and efficient. She is super reliable and it was such a relief to have things taken off my plate. She helped guide me through the entire process from our first conversation. She is well connected and recommended the perfect vendors for me to partner with. Fantastic Wedding Planner 💜

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Petals and Lace Events and Karla Crisp. Planning an outdoor wedding can be daunting, but Karla made it feel effortless. She is incredibly patient, kind, hard-working, and brings a calm, steady presence to every step of the process.

One of the things we appreciated most was her clear communication and honest feedback. Karla was always quick to respond, kept us informed, and wasn’t afraid to speak up when something could be improved or didn’t align with our vision. the most amazing team ever!

I did partial planning, but honestly would have paid for the fully planning. I wish I could have Karla with me all the time......talk about an amazing women. I would send her a text or email? *BOOM* response instantly. I would be feeling stressed or worried I didnt have things organized and then there is Karla with everything in order and a nice little printed out timeline for me to follow(im very checklist oriented so I loved it) . I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Karla and her team. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. I had so many people at my wedding literally say to me "This is the most calm and organized wedding I've been to" (I EVEN HAD GROOMSMEN SAY THIS) and It wouldnt have been that way without Karla. Without a doubt would hire her again in a heartbeat and not look anywhere else. Do yourself the favor!!! I recommend the partial or full planning! She takes care of everything.

Wedding Wonder-Woman!

From the moment we met Karla, we knew that she would be a perfect fit as our wedding planner. Karla is extremely organized, responsive, caring, and confident. I fully trusted her to help turn my wedding dream into a reality. Karla helped answer any questions that I had during the planning process. I could call, text, or email her and she was always there for me. She gives the best advice and has excellent relationships with other vendors. We used all of her recommendations for catering, DJ services, officiant, florist, photographer, hair/makeup, rentals, desserts, etc. I have always struggled to make decisions, but Karla assisted me along the way as I picked out each detail for my special day. I cannot thank her enough for her expertise and professionalism. Karla is a hard worker and she truly gave 110% into making our day exactly what we wanted. The weather was looking stormy/rainy, but Karla remained cool and calm. We were able to have our ceremony AND reception outside. Our wedding was beautiful and ran so smoothly. A Perfect Wedding Planner

Could Not Recommend Enough

Karla with Petals&Lace was the best thing that could have happened for our wedding. She was so patient as I constantly changed my mind, kept me organized, mediated tough conversations, and did way more behind the scenes than I will ever know about. I never stressed about my wedding day, the timeline, or vendor coordination because I knew she had everything under control. During the wedding, she was direct and made sure everything went smoothly while letting everyone enjoy the highlights and joy of the day. Karla is kind, professional while also inviting, and cares so much about the bride and groom and her work always goes above and beyond to display that. Best Choice for full service planning

Karla is absolutely amazing and I cant thank her enough for all she has done. She brought together the perfect team to make my vision come to life for our wedding. From lighting, decor, rental, flowers and even the bar service, she had the perfect recommendations. She walked with me and held my hand through every decision made. Sometimes on vendor meetings I would just get overwhelmed and she would know exactly what I wanted or what the answer was even when I couldn't voice it. She is rightfully so named "Karla Life Saver" in my phone. I swear sometimes she was even my therapist haha. She had every detail down, and on top of everything at all times. I had to work all the way up until the day of my rehearsal but that was ok because I knew Karla had everything under control and double checked already. Could not have pulled this all off with out her.

When my husband and I wanted to plan a vow renewal we wanted someone to really see our vision for our celebration. Karla and her team did an incredible job from day one in the planning process, design and organization.

Karla was always one step ahead of all my questions and concerns and handled everything with such ease. We are beyond happy that we choose Petals and Lace and we re so grateful for such an incredible team.

Our Tuscan inspired table setting was out of this world and everything turned out so perfect. The florals, the linens, the lighting ohh so good!

Couldn't have had a better experience!

When my husband and I decided to have our wedding on family property in Virginia (while we're living in Colorado) we knew that a wedding planner would be necessary in pulling off a successful event.
We decided to hire Karla after our initial conversation because of her professional background and to-the-point communication style. She helped us organize all the things that go into a one-time outdoor event (tent, rentals, power, lighting, bathrooms...) and made everything look effortless.
She made the planning process so much lighter for us, worked well with every single vendor we hired, gave her honest opinions based on her experience, and made an incredible event happen. She was always quick to respond to messages, and any time I told her I was stressed or worried about something, she took it on immediately and solved whatever problem I was having.
I can't imagine the planning process without Karla, and am still so thankful that we had her throughout!

A Wedding To Die For

Karla was a breath of fresh air through the entirety of preparing for our wedding day. When my husband and I booked Hanover Vegetable Farm, we were blessed to have her as part of the venue as our coordinator. Karla went above and beyond through our 2 year engagement to ensure our vision was met. Including contacting Red Vein Haunt (where my husband and I had our first date and have been going every Halloween for 7 years now) to ask if our guests could attend the haunt before they open as part of our cocktail hour (THEY SAID YES!). Karla even went so far as to contact one of our vendors and ask them to bring a couple strips of red uplighting to use when we passed the chapel scene of the haunt for photos. Everything that day was truly magical and more than I could have ever hoped for. Karla was beyond professional, was always there to answer questions (most of the time immediately after I texted her), and put my mind at ease with all worries I had planning the big day. As most all of our decorations were handmade (perks of having an unconventional wedding date/theme lol), I especially appreciate the care she took when helping us set up the ceremony and reception barn. The whole time I felt like I was talking to a friend I've known for years! Brides do yourself a favor and book Karla as your planner/coordinator today. You owe it to yourself to have someone like her to listen to you and ensure you that your vision isn't too crazy and go the extra mile to help you plan the perfect day. Thank you Petals and Lace!

Hire Karla and her team now!!!

I seriously do not have enough great things to say about Karla and her team. Karla is the nicest person and was sooo much fun to work with throughout the whole process! The entire time I felt like I was talking to a friend, not a wedding vendor. She was extremely responsive, answered all of my questions, and had beautiful ideas for our wedding. There were times when I'd send her an email and she would immediately text me with an answer. I always felt comfortable reaching out to her with anything I needed. She and Katelyn managed the wedding day absolutely perfectly. I had multiple guests tell me that it was the most organized wedding they had ever been to and that the flow of the night was perfect. They set up the reception space so beautifully and I just felt so comfortable and at ease all day knowing that Karla and Katelyn were there. A supported experience

I had to plan my entire wedding in 6 months. As you could imagine, finding vendors was very stressful. Karla with Petals and Lace was extremely helpful with making suggestions, sending me lists of vendors, problem solving. Without her, I literally would not have hair/make up for the big day!! Karla helped me through every step. She was unable to be there the day of my wedding however she had two excellent petals and lace employees to help me through my big day. Sarah and holly were wonderful! Highly recommend.

You want Karla on your team!

Karla was an absolutely incredible resource for helping my wife and I build the wedding of our dreams! After we had a falling out with our first wedding planner, Karla came in with just 7 months until the big day and immediately gave us the peace of mind we so desperately needed.

As the groom, I had never put much thought into my wedding before I proposed, and being able to text and call Karla to bounce ideas, questions, and concerns off of gave me the confidence that we could really pull off a fantastic wedding. She came to every site visit, worked with vendors behind the scenes, and kept all of our contracts, planned events, and small details organized.

When the morning of our wedding came, Karla and her team were a tour de force, keeping the symphony of vendors and staff working like a well oiled machine. After hundreds of hours spent worrying about the smallest details, being able to spend our entire wedding day WORRY-FREE was incredible. Of all the investments made towards our wedding, hiring Petals and Lace was hands down the best money spent.

If I could go back in time and change one thing about my wedding, it would be hiring Petals and Lace the day I proposed.

I cannot say enough good things about Karla. We were planning our wedding for over a year and she was a tremendous help from the minute we hired her. She helped with every little detail and any question I had along the way. All of the vendors we used at our wedding were recommended by her and were just as amazing. Karla is incredible. Everything with our wedding turned out amazing. She worked so well with all of the other vendors and prepared so well for any possible catastrophes. Thankfully there weren't any, but even if there were we would not have even known about it because she's that good. On the day of our wedding, it was pouring down rain and there were wind gusts of 50 mph. Karla handled it like a champ and helped me remain calm, letting me know that I would get the outdoor wedding I had always dreamed of! Fabulous Experience !!!

Karla is absolutely amazing, and such a pleasure to work with. As the mother of the bride, I wanted my daughters wedding day to be PERFECT! Karla saw to it that it was. She was able to understand and execute our vision completely. Her vendor recommendations were spot on. During the 15 month planning process, whenever my daughter or I had a question she was there with an answer. She was always quick to respond to texts and phone calls. She kept both the rehearsal and the wedding day on schedule. Everything flowed without issue. I could not have been more pleased with the entire process. I was able to enjoy the day along with my daughter and never once worried about even the smallest detail. I knew Karla could handle whatever was needed. She was always on time for our calls as well as in person meetings when needed. Her reputation precedes her. Each of the vendors we used had only great things to say about her and stated they always knew the event would run smoothly if she was the coordinator. After my daughter and her fiancé chose their wedding date and the venue was secured, we interviewed three wedding coordinators prior to choosing Karla. She was our top choice, so we wasted no time in securing her services. BEST DECISION EVER! Thank you so much Karla for helping us give our daughter her dream wedding day! Incredible

When I say that Karla SAVED my husband and me big time, I mean it. There was a miscommunication, and we didn't realize that we needed a day of coordinator until about 2 weeks before our wedding...Karla was recommended to us by our caterer, and she responded quickly, immediately started figuring out how she could make our lives easier, and took away all of the stress dealing with planning and prepping. My only wish is that we found her sooner!! I have already recommended her to all of my friends and will continue to do so. Karla and her team are the best!!!

MVP of our wedding, without a doubt.

TL;DR - Worth every single penny, and would hire 10x over again, Karla was THE best money we spent regarding our entire wedding.

We married in Hurricane Ian, after planning our non-traditional/hyper unique wedding from across the country. We had a lot of large day-of changes due to the Hurricane, and no part of our day would have gone smoothly without Karla. In hindsight, myself & the bride honestly believe that the only vendor we couldn’t live without was Karla.
From initial planning & ideas, to problem solving, helping us through recommending vendors & rentals, and listening to us vent of our worries & stressed, Karla was the support that we needed.

In practice she’s very frank & to the point; she made sure to say “that’s not going to go smoothly” or “I wouldn’t recommend that”, and it made it incredibly easy to remind ourselves that Karla & her team have done this before, we hadn’t! That straightforward professional wisdom & advice is absolutely invaluable, and made it so that we were constantly focused on the fun things in the planning process. We had an ice cream truck, a mobile bar-cart, and buffet-served bbq at a Cidery in Richmond Va, split by a happy-2-hours at barcade where we’d initially met. Karla seamlessly helped time our day, our vendors, and our experiences.

We came into town 3 days before our wedding, and had a final meeting + walkthrough at our locations, and Karla had already prepared contingency plans for the Hurricane, vendor switches, secured us a tent just in case, and moved our timelines accordingly. It saved us SO much stress, and we actually got to enjoy our time.

For the day of, our wedding was epic, and it was largely epic because of her hard work in organizing our vendors and timeline, her Hurricane-disaster-planning, and her guidance. I was a high-maintenance groom, and Karla’s little encouragements/supportive role made an incredible difference in my day-of confidence & anxieties. My wife, too, found that Karla was “literally the best” (she said so 01737282x while we were honeymooning & reflecting on our day).

Karla & her team were the best investment we made for our wedding, we wouldn’t have had the day we did without her. Forever grateful.

I’ve known Karla for years and when I started wedding planning I realized she was a planner! She was and is hands down the best Wedding planner, from helping with the little details to talking me through my mental break downs!!!! The day of wedding she took charge and made sure I had nothing to deal with, made my wedding vision come to life and made my Whole day amazing and relaxing!!! Best choice of the entire wedding.

Best choice of the entire wedding! After speaking with several wedding coordinators, it became abundantly clear that Karla was the perfect choice. She encompasses knowledge, grace, poise and wonderful communication skills. From the moment that Karla signed on, I felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. Her creative eye and vendor knowledge was so helpful and her ability to anticipate issues was priceless. From a broken bustle button, to an extra guest at the wedding, to ensuring that my husband and daughter were prepared for their walk down the aisle, Karla was a calming presence and a huge asset on the day of the wedding. I’m here to tell you to just hire a professional

That’s my best advice when it comes to planning. My (now) husband and I were faced with a less than desirable task of firing our former wedding planner and having to find a new just four months before our wedding. I am a type A person and had thankfully assembled a good amount of my vendors but I needed help with putting it all together. Thank the lord Karla was able to help! She took over like she was there from day 1. I had to worry about NOTHING. Our wedding was nothing short of magical. After the first phone conversation with her I turned to my fiancé and said ‘I feel so much better’. She even worked with me for a special middle ground package when I didn’t quite need vendor help but more than month of. Karla was an amazing wedding coordinator. She made sure everything went very smoothly on the wedding day and the months leading up to our big day. Wonderful planner for our wedding

We did a wedding in July 2021 in Luray, and Karla was wonderful to work with. She listened carefully to the type of wedding we wanted to organize, and we were impressed with how effortlessly she picked up on our plans and vision. Karla was a very big part of my daughter’s wedding being so successful. She was incredible with keeping everything on schedule and making sure everyone knew what was expected of them. I don’t even know where to begin.. If you need a wedding coordinator or planner, HIRE KARLA!!! Not only did she help plan and coordinate the most beautiful wedding ever, but she genuinely cares about the people that she works with. I can’t even help but get emotional while writing about how much Karla positively impacted my wedding day. She made sure that every single detail was perfect and took so much stress off of me, my husband, and all of our family members. She goes above and beyond to make sure that your day is absolutely perfect. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Karla.

I also want to add- I hired Karla in 2019 when I first started planning my wedding. For many reasons, we ended up postponing our wedding and didn’t get married until 2021. Amazing Experience!

Gosh where do I even begin?! Karla did a phenomenal job of helping coordinate our wedding and also setting up and cleaning up. She was more than an extra hand and I can’t appreciate her enough. Karla is very straightforward and knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. She literally took all of the stress off for me and I didn’t even have to lift a single finger. Our wedding would not have been perfect nor what we pictured if it weren’t for her. I mean c’mon she has fanny pack for tissues which definitely came in hand! Karla was amazing!

My husband and I hired Karla as our Day of Coordinator at Alturia Farm for our May 22, 2021 wedding. She was so easy to work with, so flexible with our schedules, and overall just easy-going while staying very organized and on top of things at the same time. The morning before the wedding she helped us set up everything in the exact way we wanted it. That night, she flawlessly executed our rehearsal dinner and somehow got both of our crazy families and friends to cooperate! She always put my husband and I's interests over EVERYONE else no matter what, and I appreciated that so much! On the day of the wedding, the things that still had to be set up and decorated without me she did perfectly and just how I imagined. Everything flowed super smoothly and she made sure it was always about the bride and groom throughout the night. I would highly recommend hiring Karla if you want someone super easy to work with, but who will also make sure everything gets done and keeps the focus on the bride and groom!

Fantastic experience. Very attentive to details.

By the time we met Karla in early March of 2020, we had secured all the vendors. I must admit, I was hesitant about hiring a "wedding planner." However, later that month, the world went upside down. Karla was there reassuring us that by next year, things would be "back to normal." LOL!!! By January of 2021, we knew that we were far from "normal". As the restrictions changed, making little sense to the average person, Karla kept us in check. Soon it was wedding month and decisions were made on how to proceed to guarantee that Abbie and Devin had the wedding they wished for and wanted. Karla made it all possible. Wedding day, I was able to enjoy being with Abbie and her bridesmaids, without having to worry about all the other details. We made memories, thanks to her planning and implementing their plans. I would encourage anyone planning a wedding celebration to hire Karla. She is truly a blessing to our family!

I couldn’t ask for a better coordinator!!

Karla was so awesome and fun to work with! I hired her for a month of coordinator and before the month of my wedding she would reach out to me, ask how I was doing and help me with anything I needed! We spoke over the phone several times and met in person as well. Although the week of my wedding a lot had to change with new orders in place for covid, she communicated with me through the week about a new plan and ideas. She made sure my day felt just as special and beautiful as I always envisioned. She pays attention to your wants and needs as a bride; an example is I wanted to give my father a picture of us saying “out of all the walks we have taken this one is my favorite” unfortunately the frame did not arrive on time and I wasn’t able to put it up at the entrance of the aisle. However Karla came up with the idea of writing the saying on a chalkboard and putting it where I wanted. When I saw it I was SO happy, it looked like it was always suppose to be that. She takes the time to make sure you, as the bride have the day you imagined all these years! Even to the little details! I am so grateful for Karla and everything she did to help my dream wedding come to life! 💗

Perfection!

I have worked with Karla over the last almost two years planning my wedding. It has been nothing but a JOY to work so closely with her. I hired Karla after our initial meeting not only because of her portfolio, but because of her warm and calm nature. I felt like I had known her my whole life by the end of that meeting. She brought ideas to the table throughout my entire planning process, stood up for me when necessary, and literally saved my wedding when COVID-19 left me without a wedding venue in April for my June wedding. Karla never panicked. She listened to me cry and when I said I was losing hope and would just get married at the courthouse she said "No, you are having your dream wedding. I will make that happen." CHILLS.

Karla made the rescheduling process a breeze. She reached out to every vendor and sent me a few new fall dates to choose from that worked with everyone. She also sent me new venues to go look at that were also available on those dates. Not only did she suggest new venues, but she accompanied us on the tours and every meeting along the way. NONE of this was in my contract with her. Karla was truly invested in making sure our day was exactly what we pictured and went above and beyond to ensure that it was!

Karla and I had monthly calls along the planning process to update each other and make sure we were on the right track. I felt fully prepared and confident that everything would go smoothly on the day of the wedding. The week of my wedding the weather forecast changed from a warm, beautiful sunny day to a cold, rainy day. Karla reached out to me multiple times that week to tell me to remain calm and that it could change. Two days before the wedding we developed a detailed rain plan. On the day of when it was pouring down rain, Karla kept me calm and walked through any tweaks that needed to be made to the rain plan. She checked in on me and kept me updated throughout the morning. The rain stopped about 1.5 hours before my ceremony start time and Karla, the caterer, and venue manager moved mountains to setup for my original plan - my outside dream wedding and not a single detail was missed!

I could go on and on about how amazing Karla is and how easy she made this entire process on me and my family. Karla is a lifesaver and a true angel. My wedding was perfect and exactly what I dreamed it would be. She was always very responsive to any call/text/email. I highly recommend her a million times over. Hire Karla for your wedding - you will not regret it! You will also make a genuine friend in the process! Thank you so so much, Karla!! We couldn't have done it without you!

The PERFECT Wedding Planner

As a Mother of the Bride, you want one thing for your daughter’s wedding day and that is for it to be PERFECT! And it was PERFECT! Karla was AMAZING and went above and beyond in the entire planning process. Even when the June wedding we were planning became an October wedding at a new venue, Karla did not hesitate to make sure we did not stress and rescheduled every vendor. She is exceptional, and I had total confidence in her and knew my daughter’s day would be everything she had dreamed of.

Karla always made sure on our many calls that I was included in the planning discussions and that I was ok and not stressed. She was calm and reassuring when we had to reschedule my daughter’s wedding AND find a new venue. Karla is the reason we held it together and became excited again about our changes. She never faltered in being there when we had questions and always left us feeling calm and stress free.

To say Karla will go the extra mile is an understatement. In addition to the wedding date change and the venue change, the forecast for the wedding day also changed from sunny to 100% chance of rain. AND IT RAINED! This was not a problem for Karla! She stayed in touch with us throughout the day and mid afternoon shared her plan for the outdoor ceremony to be set up under cover and promised my daughter it would be beautiful. We had total confidence it would be!

One and a half hours prior to the ceremony time, Karla returned to us again to tell us she was watching the forecast and saw that the rain was supposed to stop shortly before the ceremony time, and she was going to adjust again and set up the ceremony site back to the original plan-OUTSIDE! I will remember that moment most because I thought WOW there will never be enough words that I can express to Karla to tell her how much that meant to me and my daughter. Thank you Karla for everything you did and for being part of my daughter’s BEST DAY EVER!

Karla was an absolute dream to work with at Seven Springs venue. She reached out to me months beforehand to make sure everything was going to be perfect for our client. The day of the wedding nothing changed, she went above and beyond anyone I had ever had to work with before to make sure everything ran smoothly. Seamlessly amazing

Where do I even begin?! Karla was nothing short from amazing every since I first spoke to her nearly a year ago. you see, my wedding was originally scheduled for April 4, 2020. However, like many couples, we had to push our wedding back due to the pandemic. Karla literally had everything lined up within a day of deciding our new wedding date. She took so much pressure off of my mom & I during this entire process. She truly made herself available from START TO FINISH!

Fast forward 5 months and Karla REALLY handled the day flawlessly. She wouldn't allow me to lift a finger when it came to small details & was unrattled when I sprang some last minute decisions/changes on her the day of. I really cannot say enough about Karla. I can not say enough about Karla and Petals & Lace!! She was amazing at navigating through a reschedule due to COVID, managing my vendors leading up to the wedding, setting up and then again cleaning up my immense amount of glass wares and details, and keeping all of the bridal party in line. The day before the wedding, Karla had me feeling calm, even with a potential flash flood, and totally confident in that everything I had planned for almost two years would turn out just the way I had wanted. She was there for every call, question, and concern I had. Not only is she great at what she does but she is also a joy to be around. No one better to trust with your wedding day!

Planning a wedding in a state that you don't currently reside can be quite stressful and challenging. I had to put my trust in someone who was able to visualize what I had been imagining for my big day. Karla is that person! She is extremely organized, responsive, and creative. I didn't have much to stress about because I knew she had it under control. She also has worked with many of the Richmond/Charlottesville vendors which helps with the collaboration! Day of, she supported me through the fears of rain and potential indoor ceremony, was able to wrangle together the drunk groomsmen with ease (haha) and managed to make the venue and reception absolutely breathtaking. Highly highly recommend. Thanks again for the unforgettable day!

The thought of having a big wedding was overwhelming to me. I had no idea where to start. Karla was recommended to me by my venue (Blue Bee Cider) and was a Godsend. The venue spoke so highly of her skills and also her price point. She is talented and her services are more affordable than any others I have seen. Karla is above and beyond. My husband and I had a COVID wedding, so we were put through the ups and downs, planning, re-planning, and joys of getting money back from unused vendors. Each step of the way, Karla was with us to advocate and advise. I really don’t know how she stays so calm and prepared. When we felt overwhelmed, she’d gently nudge us to take the next small step. She met us for coffee and was available via text
/calls at the drop of a hat. Seriously, she is so good. But what makes her over the top is when our Richmond-area farm wedding finally turned into an OBX week... Karla was booking a house to come down to do it all with us, no hesitation!! Everyone needs a Karla in their corner. Don’t pass her up.

Amazing!

I really don’t know how our wedding day would have succeeded without her. She took all the worry of making the timeline and table arrangement from me and even adjusted when I asked for something extra to be placed in. Not to mention the day before, when I showed up with all the decorations, I barely lifted a finger and she had me leaving the venue by noon so I could relax a little before rehearsal. She made suggestions but listened to everything I wanted. The day of the wedding she showed up on site and immediately started handling the last minute details while I was getting ready. She made sure I didn’t feel the weight of the day by taking it off my shoulders. Karla made sure the timeline stayed on track and all the vendors arrived and left at their appropriate times. And afterwards, she took care of the packing up so my husband and I could have our night together. I really can’t say enough how much she did to make our day awesome. I truly believe the day would not have gone smoothly without her.

The best planner out there!!

I cannot recommend Karla highly enough!! She was the planner for my wedding in May 2019, and she was truly one of the best vendors we used. She handled everything and really took a lot of the stress out of planning a wedding. Even when things came up a couple days before the wedding, Karla just took it all in stride and took care of everything. She is kind, personable, easy to talk to, funny, and she is such a calming presence. Not to mention, she is extremely positive, bubbly, and upbeat! Just knowing that I had Karla on my team made me feel better when I got overwhelmed. I am not someone who is pleased particularly easily, and I was beyond pleased with Karla from the second I hired her all the way through the end of the wedding day. Communication with Karla was a breeze, and she always responded to texts, emails, etc. extremely quickly. Karla also made sure every aspect of my wedding day ran smoothly and easily. She kept the day moving without making anyone feel rushed. She completely decorated everything at our venue (Alturia Farm) while I was getting ready, and everything was beautiful and perfect. So i actually have been to two weddings that were planned by Petals and Lace. Both of them were very beautiful but from the bride and grooms stand point and hearing what they had to say about their special day, Carla did amazing job. The couples explained how they wanted it and what they envisioned, and like an artist she painted them the perfect picture weddings. Having a Day-Of Coordinator is a must for your wedding day, but having Karla is the BEST. I could not have picked a better gal to handle each detail that occurred on the day-of and month-of my Wedding Day. Karla, business owner of Petals and Lace Events, met with me in-person ~3-4 times prior to my wedding, and spoke on the phone with me many times leading up to the big day. If she could tell I was feeling stressed via text message, she called me to smooth things out and alleviated that stress. Her years of experience were valuable to bounce ideas off of for anything--deciding how much to decorate, do you really need those extra lights, and how to handle things that go wrong at the last minute. The DAY BEFORE my wedding, my catering company refused to set up tables and chairs although negotiated prior to wedding day. Regardless of whatever miscommunication occurred for this to happen, Karla set up 20+ tables and chairs, AND moved 200+ chairs from ceremony to reception site without me having to worry a bit over this mishap. Karla's professionalism and integrity assured me that I could trust her to make everything happen. Karla was a gem to work with, very reasonably charges for her services, and respectfully makes all things happen your way. Hire Petals and Lace and your stress will immediately decrease after your first conversation with Karla.

She executed my vision for my boho wedding perfectly. It was laid back, fun, whimsical, and we had a lot of personal touches and details we wanted to add and she nailed every single one. See photos!! She was there for countless meetings, and from day one, when we talked about our day to the send-off she was just amazing. She worked her ass off and then some. So many of our guests raved about how nice and welcoming she was. We had an outdoor ceremony and it went from blue skies to a downpour right in the middle and when our venue coordinators didn't know what to do, Karla sprung into action and rounded up 145 guests, got them on the bus quickly, and got the ceremony going inside. Weddingwire has a word limit, but if you hire anyone for your day, HIRE HER.

I really cannot describe how valuable Karla was to planning our Wedding. I live in Oklahoma and had just moved from Virginia. I needed someone to handle every last detail while I am across the country. She took on every single detail, hardship, and task with true grace. She is direct, effective, and very kind. Hiring Karla was the best decision I made during wedding planning. In fact, I wish I would have hired her sooner. She was so responsive, helpful and incredibly easy to work with. Our reception room was very basic but Karla and her assistant turned it into something amazing. I was able to relax all night because I knew I could trust them to handle anything that came up. My fiancé was hesistant to hire someone but at the end of the night he said “Thank God for Karla.” Do yourself a favor and hire her.

Choosing Karla as our wedding planner was such a blessing. I had been searching for a wedding planner for months before I came across Petals and Lace Events on social media. After a couple of failed attempts at a consultation with two other wedding planners (they either forgot the appointment or canceled last minute) I was starting to lose hope. After our phone consultation, all of my worries and stress completely went away. We instantly clicked over the phone and it was a no brainer that I chose her to help plan my day. She kept in touch with me throughout the planning process and coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. Our wedding venue used the same space for our reception and ceremony. Karla met with us and our venue coordinators a week before our wedding to make sure everything would go smooth on our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Karla and her assistant went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. They, along with our venue coordinators, flipped the space from ceremony to reception in only 20 minutes. I had a last minute dress emergency just before the ceremony and Karla kept me calm, and with our photographer and venue coordinator’s help, came up with a solution to fix my dress. There were so many things Karla and her assistant did behind the scenes to make our day special. We were able to enjoy ourselves and celebrate with our guests knowing that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Words cannot express the gratitude my husband and I have for Karla and all of her hard work that made our day the wedding of our dreams. It’s safe to say our wedding would not have been the same without her. Not only was Karla professional and did an amazing job planning our big day, she is also very kind and has such an outgoing personality. Our bridal party, family, and guests all loved Karla and her assistant. We consider her a part of our family now and would highly recommend her anyone!

We can't imagine what our wedding would have been last weekend without Karla! She truly put her heart and soul into making our day so special and perfect! Planning a wedding from states away should have been the most stressful thing, but instead, we were able to arrive with total confidence that our wedding would go off without a hitch. It was supposed to be a rainy, dreadful day, which seemed like it would surely ruin our outdoor vineyard wedding. Karla planned several options to prepare for the weather, and did so with so much positivity, that we felt like it would still be as beautiful as we had imagined it. She insisted that the rain would hold off, and it did! We had the most memorable and romantic ceremony and reception! Even despite the weather and unforeseen hiccups with the vendors, she was able to completely give us her attention and support while handling and overcoming those obstacles with ease and grace. We were able to enjoy our day and celebrate with our loved ones without any worries or distractions. She connected with us in such a special way, and she became much like a part of our family. We owe her thanks beyond words for orchestrating a perfect day in the most imperfect situation. We can't recommend her enough! We, as well as our friends and family, were so impressed and humbled by her attention to detail, outgoing and kind personality, and her willingness to go above and beyond for us! We're so thankful that she was part of our wedding planning and big day. We will forever look at her as a friend.

From the second we sat down with Karla I knew everything was going to be taken care of. By the time our first meeting was over my eye tic (caused by detail stress) had stopped completely. She did a wonderful job coordinating all of my vendors and executing the setup of both the wedding site and the reception sites. It was an incredibly long day and she stuck with us until the end, midnight. When we had a few unexpected guest show up Karla was on top of seating them at empty spaces. We had well over 250 guests, all of whom were moved from cocktail hour into the ball room quickly and on time. Karla made a time line and we stuck to it. She also had the pleasure of working with a very trying vendor and defused a few situations the day of the wedding without burdening me with the problems. If I could do it all again I would have hired her from the start because she was so great to work with. Karla has a very calming presence that was very relaxing to be around on such a high stress day.

Karla was simply awesome. From our first meeting, I knew that she would be the one to help us create our vision for our wedding day while respecting our budget. Karla not only kept our best interest at heart, she also never compromised quality. She pointed us in the direction of established and trustworthy vendors that were in budget. Whatever challenge or idea we came up with, she went with. She followed my Pinterest board, and collaborated with us on ideas and options that were realistic. One of the best things about our experience with Karla, was that when we ran into issues (which happened more than once), Karla ALWAYS had a ‘plan B’ for anything. She understands that even when things are set, problems can still come up (because we are dealing with humans, after all) and she is ready to tackle any task. Karla was also extremely professional and kept us on track throughout the entire wedding planning process. At our meetings, she would ask progress on tasks, and let me know what I needed to work on next. Karla was completely invested in our wedding day; she was excited for us and she truly cared about us. We would highly recommend Petals and Lace Events for your wedding. She is honest, respectful, and has a true eye for creating your vision of your perfect day.
