Tall Order Expertly Executed

We knew we needed a true professional to help us capture all the shots we wanted on our wedding day – Jill Person and her assistant John exceeded all expectations!

Logistically, our photo portrait timeline was a VERY tall order. We wanted pictures taken in three separate geographic locations: 1. Trinity Chapel in Newton, MA 2. Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA 3. Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, MA. We did not do a first look, so this all had to happen within 90 minutes between ceremony end and cocktail hour. When accounting for travel time, this really boiled down to 60 minutes for portrait shots of family, wedding party of 12, and bride and groom solo pictures. No pressure!

Jill worked with us on the timeline prior to our wedding day and executed it flawlessly. We got every single picture we wanted in all three locations and still made it to the reception on time! What’s more, we never felt rushed or pressured. Jill is incredibly personable and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. This was the first wedding for both of families and many of our wedding party. It was such a relief to have an experienced, organized photographer guiding everyone through the process and making sure we enjoyed ourselves while doing it!

I cannot say enough good things about Person + Killian. From the moment we booked Jill she made everything so seamless. We will treasure the engagement session, getting ready pictures, ceremony photos, portraits and the COUNTLESS shots she captured of all our guests at the reception forever.

If you're on the fence, THIS is the vendor to budget for. The photos are what will keep the memories fresh long after the wedding day. Worth. Every. Penny.

Fantastic wedding photographer

A friend recommended Person + Killian to us and they exceeded all our expectations. Very talented, thoughtful, unobtrusive and kind, they expertly and calmly went about their business of selecting the best shot, the best lighting, situation, etc. During the religious ceremony their sense of propriety was greatly appreciated. They made everyone feel included and special as they photographed our families and friends throughout the wedding and reception.

Lauren - simply put - is the best! A dream to work with!

I met Lauren at my best friend's wedding and immediately knew that if she happened to be available, we would be SO lucky to have her photograph our wedding the following summer (the fact that we grew up in the same town was a bonus!). She was and I cannot say enough about our experience working with her. Lauren is amazing. Not only does she take the most beautiful photographs, but she provides every couple she works with laughter, support, and direction during their wedding day (and beyond). Besides your future husband/wife, your photographer is someone who is there every step of the day - and Lauren has the ability to capture the most perfect moments to make your day unforgettable. She is so fun, quickly turned around our photos, and just made us feel so comfortable the entire time. I couldn't say enough about her and her team and wholeheartedly recommend her! I only wish I had another big event in the future that I could work with her on!

We had a truly wonderful experience with Jill. Leading up to the wedding she was so responsive, organized, and open to answering questions and discussing style/planning choices. I never worried about details falling through with her. When she showed up on the morning of the wedding things were a little chaotic as the getting ready process was being finalized, but she jumped right in and started capturing moments. She managed to keep our large bridal party on track while maintaining a calm and easy going demeanor, which made the entire day more pleasant, and allowed us to relax during photos and not feel responsible for managing everyone. We had loved her style from the start, and were thrilled with the final product.

We were SO lucky to work with Lauren from Person + Killian Photography for our engagement photos and wedding in July. From the beginning of our relationship, Lauren was incredibly approachable, helpful, and ready to answer any and all questions that we had. My husband and I have pretty demanding schedules (so we were often difficult to get in touch with) but Lauren was always accommodating, understanding and patient with us, and always kept us on schedule. When we first met Lauren for our engagement photos, we instantly felt at ease. She truly is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. And of course, when we saw our engagement photos, we were absolutely amazed by her talent, and became even more excited for our wedding day. Now, I can honestly say that a day does not go by without us taking a few moments to relive our perfect wedding day through Lauren's work. She was able to capture the incredible beauty from the day, and did not spare a single detail. And throughout our wedding day, she made us feel so special. Her talent, kindness, and grace are truly without comparison. We could not have asked for a better photographer!

We had the absolute pleasure to work with Lauren from Person + Killian. This was one of our best decisions in our engagement and wedding process. From the very beginning she made us feel so comfortable. We both don't usually love having pictures taken, but she put us at ease and we could not have been happier with the photos! Beyond providing wonderful photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives, Lauren provided us with amazing service, kindness and a genuine sense of happiness. Lauren is absolutely amazing. She is so kind, thoughtful, attentive, and truly captured every loving moment of our wedding. Lauren was calm and warm, and made sure we were okay and felt good about the family combinations we got for formal pictures, and then beyond captured everything from the ketubah signing, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Lauren Killian (of Person + Killian) photographed my sister’s wedding a few years ago. She did such an amazing job and the photographs were stunning. We knew we wanted Lauren to photograph our wedding as well. Lauren and her assistant, Ken, did not disappoint! My husband and I LOVE the photographs they captured. They tell the story of our special day beautifully. Beyond the excellent product we received, Lauren was a pleasure to work with, from the very beginning in the planning process through the wedding day and beyond. Lauren photographed our rehearsal dinner and welcome party as well as our wedding. Throughout all the events, she was unobtrusive and calm. Aside from the formal portraits, we barely noticed she was there as she captured so many amazing shots. During the formal portraits, she was never pushy or overly directive but also gave helpful pointers on how to look our best when necessary. I would recommend Person + Killian to everyone who wants a photographer of the highest caliber and who wants the story of their wedding told through amazing pictures.

Jill was absolutely amazing, from our initial consultation, to engagement photos and of course our wedding day. We both immediately felt so comfortable with her and she made everything feel so natural. Right from the beginning I knew Jill would be the perfect fit for our wedding day. She is incredibly talented and I knew she would be able to shoot our venue, which can be challenging with the amount of natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. Jill was always so prompt in communicating with us, and very flexible when we needed to reschedule a few meetings. I cannot thank Person + Killian (Jill) enough for being a part of our wedding day. We are so happy with the photos, I know its going to be tough to pick our favorite ones for the album (we love them all!)

5 ++++ stars! TOP NOTCH! Lauren Killian was amazing from the second we worked with her at our engagement photo shoot all the way to our Wedding (and everything in between). Not only is she SO talented in her profession, but she also helped us stay in check throughout the wedding planning process. Any question that my mom and I had for her, she was right on it! Not to mention, her work is just unreal and breathtaking. Lauren has such an easy going and fun personality and truly puts you at ease through even through some of the awkward poses. My husband had an absolute blast with her. Lauren was the person who kept us on track the entire day of the wedding. She fixed my dress, my hair, my makeup, my veil. She was timely. Working with Person + Killian was the one of the best choices I have ever made. Both Jill and Lauren came highly recommended by a number of my colleagues in the hospitality industry. We met Lauren at our engagement shoot and she could not have been more lovely. She instantly put us at ease and guided us through a fun, relaxed and memorable afternoon in beautiful Beacon Hill. When we got our engagement photos back, we were in love. They were so special and really captured who we were as a couple. She didn't suggest anything awkward or anything that we were uncomfortable with. The weather did not cooperate the weeks leading up to the engagement photos and Lauren was extremely flexible in rescheduling the perfect day for us. On the day of our wedding, Lauren was by my side the entire day. She made sure everything down to a fly away hair was perfect for every shot. While her style is not aggressive or intrusive, Lauren really took charge of guiding us through our day. Lauren was able to gather our very large family and stay focused during the formal photos. This kept all of us on time (which the priest was appreciative) . Many members of my family mentioned what a pleasure it was to work with Lauren. It gave me so much comfort knowing I was in the hands of a true professional. We gave her a couple of must have photos and what we got back was so much more. On our honeymoon, our photos arrived and we were incapable of moving for the next few hours. Our photos are more than we could have imagined. For hours, we laughed and cried saw exactly what we saw the day of our wedding; a day and a room filled with so much love. The candid shots are my favorite, Lauren captured so many special moments we would have never witnessed on our own. We can't say enough about them - we honestly love every single photo. I really hope I have the opportunity to work with P+K again in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

When I was researching venues, the majority of the hotels in Boston that I met with recommended Person + Killian – and I understand why, Jill is awesome! She did the photos for my engagement shoot in back bay, as well as my wedding in September at the Four Seasons. My husband and I are not big picture takers, and from the very first meeting she completely put us at ease and made us feel comfortable. On the day of the wedding, she got every picture I wanted, and really took charge of the whole day and process. Her turnaround time was also so fast! I have had so many friends complain about how long their proofs took after their weddings, and I was able to look at all of mine before I was even back from my honeymoon. My whole family agreed it was a great experience, so much so that my sister is going to be using her next year for her wedding. I can’t wait to work with her again!

Jill Person is an absolute master of her craft. We knew that going into the process, and we were nonetheless amazed by the end result. Jill clearly sees the world in ways that the average person can't, a gift that translates into the most beautifully captured photos in terms of light, color, point of view, etc. This natural gift also makes the entire process of taking photos feel effortless. If you're lucky enough to work with Jill it also won't take long to realize that she's incredibly professional, kind and funny. She was quick to honor any special requests and was a very calming presence amidst the chaos of wedding day. Jill was everything we could have asked for in a photographer, and more. She was professional from the very start, working with us to make sure we had the right schedule and time line for the day well before the wedding. My husband and I really didn’t know how much time would be needed for our first look, formal photos, etc. and Jill was patient in helping us create the perfect schedule. As a huge bonus, after we created the timeline with her, it was 100x easier to coordinate with all our other vendors! On the day of the wedding, we worked with both Jill and Alex. They were both incredible, making sure we all felt comfortable, and ensuring nothing got stressful for anyone. Having two children with us, we were nervous things might get tricky but Jill was able to keep them smiling for all the pictures! They ensured we got all the photos that we had requested, as well as a ton of really cool candids and pictures of our guests. Immediately after the wedding we went on our honeymoon for two weeks. We weren’t even back before we received an email from Jill with a link for us to view our photos online! We had such a great time going through all the photos together and reliving the day. When I tell you the photos came out better than we could have ever expected, it is an understatement. The way that Jill and Alex captured not only the people in the pictures, but the happiness and love that we all felt that on that day was truly astounding. We still can’t decide which photo we should use on our thank you cards, because we have too many favorites! All of our guests have been commenting to us on how beautiful all the pictures came out, and nearly everyone in the wedding party has changed their Facebook default to a picture from our album. We really can’t thank Jill and Alex enough for such great service. We recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for photographers.

Lauren Killian photographed our wedding day and she is AMAZING! She was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. Lauren is very professional, personable and fun!

On our wedding day, Lauren arrived early and had an assistant photographer, Brandon, who were both great to work with. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire day. Lauren was extremely patient and flexible to make sure we got all shots we wanted.

Lauren also did our engagement session which was a fun day taking photos around Back Bay. The engagement session was a great way to get to know her before the wedding day.

Our engagement and wedding day photos are incredible and will be cherished forever. Lauren is very talented and we can’t say enough great things about Person + Killian! Thank you, Lauren!

Lauren photographed our wedding this past August and I can easily say it was one of the best decisions through the planning process that we made. We met weeks before the wedding to sit and discuss our vision for the photos and so that she could really get to know my husband and I better before our big day. She was so detailed oriented and truly a pleasure to work with. She made us both feel so comfortable on the day of the wedding and we loved all of her ideas for photos. Person + Killian captured every moment and created the most fantastic and stunning representation of our wedding. There are so many wonderful things I could say about working with Lauren.

First, they are professional, organized, and communicate in a timely way that was always helpful. Second, at the day of the event, their interactions with everyone made me feel so confident that they were capturing the best pictures. Lauren gave perfect direction on little things that would have made a huge difference if they had gone uncorrected (moving a piece of hair, adjusting the location of an arm, standing straight, etc.)

During the wedding, they must have been everywhere because our pictures are so incredible. They capture fantastic candid moments, and the editing enhances the pictures and the whole feel of the event.

Lauren and her team is so talented and a joy to work with. I would recommend them to ANYONE. Fantastic experience and their photos will be treasured memories forever.

My (now) husband and I had the pleasure of working with Lauren from when we first took our engagement photos through our wedding (including my bridal shower and our rehearsal dinner). We felt incredibly awkward taking public photos at first, but we hit it off with Lauren and she couldn't have made us feel more comfortable. We had a wonderful time with her and she took some unbelievable photos (that are now framed all over the place--we even used them for our save the dates). She got us from day one and took the types of photos we told her we were looking for and floated through our events (without us even noticing her presence) taking pictures of all of our loved ones and friends--everyone has been raving about her since. One of the saddest parts of our wedding celebration ending is that we won't get to see our amazing vendors (particularly, Lauren) on a regular basis. I'd recommend her to anyone--she is flexible, responsive, professional, thoughtful, kind, and knowledgable. She is also trendy and fun, which is exactly what we were going for with the feel of our pictures.

We initially met with Jill Person because we has three couples tell us that while they didn't select Person & Killian, they wished they had. Lucky for us, when we met with Jill, at the end of 2015, she had one wedding date open in 2017 and it happened to be our date. This fact, combined with Jill's infectious/calming personality and her incredible portfolio made the selection a no-brainer for us. We were thrilled working with Jill. While she'll happily lead the artistic charge, she'll also take direction from the couple and help them bring a specific vision to life. Jill is creative and so easy to work with - when you hear about her roster of clients and see her work you'll also realize that she could easily be rude and standoffish and still be successful. However, the success has definitely not gone to Jill head. She clearly loves what she does and each wedding is so special to her.

Some of my favorite moments from working with Jill include:

1) When she got my mother to smile/laugh in the cold November outdoor shots - a near impossible task
2) Completely supporting me when I told her I needed to drink some vodka before the engagement photo shoot - whatever it takes!
3) Working with her to get the first look shot just right with our balloons. Jill got that I wasn't a flower person and totally helped me navigate it.

We are so grateful to Lauren Killian and her assistant Dustin for capturing our wedding day so beautifully. Lauren is a consummate professional - conscientious, precise, creative - and a lovely person. She folded right into our group when she arrived for "getting ready" photos and was a true pleasure to spend the day with. My husband had the same to say about Dustin.

Lauren shepherded our families through formal photos with warmth and efficiency. And, when unexpected wind and a crowded beach made our original "first look" location less than ideal at the very last minute, she expertly navigated the hotel grounds to find a new setting - which ended up being even better than the beach!

Lauren turned our photos around very quickly. In sharing them with our family and friends many remarked at how extraordinary it was that she was able to capture so many special moments, candid glances, and subtle emotions. She and Dustin were seemingly everywhere at once!

Lauren has remarkable emotional intelligence. Previous to our wedding day I had met her only once, but I felt in sync with her and well taken care of the entire day. I was very deliberate when booking with Person and Killian but I did not realize just how wonderful a decision it would be. Jill Person and her assistant Jon were relaxed, professional, flexible, so so kind (Jon helped me with my dress the entire time and even gave my husband tips), and so talented. They captured the night the way it felt and the pictures came out more beautiful than I could have imagined. From the bottom of my heart, I would recommend them to anyone. My biggest problem is that now I have too many photos that I absolutely love. I cannot thank them enough for being so spectacular. Anyone would be lucky to have them capture their wedding/event. If you are lucky enough to be able to book Jill, you absolutely should! Jill is so warm, so professional and has so much expertise - we have been thrilled with our photos and cannot say enough good things about working with her. Our wedding pictures are simply gorgeous and we are so happy with how Jill captured our day.

One underrated photographer skill is the ability to wrangle a large group of people and get all of the pictures that you want at your wedding. A lot of people warned us about forgetting to ask for specific group pictures, but Jill took care of all of that for us and we never had to think about it on the day of our wedding. We love that she got them to us so quickly so we can share them with our family and friends right away, and she has been kind enough to help us facilitate the printing process quickly. Also, she retouched all of the pictures that we wanted printed and gave us direction about choosing which images we would like for the album.

Jill is so warm, so professional and has so much expertise - we have been thrilled with our photos and cannot say enough good things about working with her. One underrated photographer skill is the ability to wrangle a large group of people and get all of the pictures that you want at your wedding. A lot of people warned us about forgetting to ask for specific group pictures, but Jill took care of all of that for us and we never had to think about it on the day of our wedding. My husband and I got married about 5 months ago and not a week (literally) goes by that we don’t share how thankful we are for the amazing photos captured by Person + Killian Photography. We used Person and Killian for our wedding at the end of August and got all of the pictures back on our honeymoon - Less than 2 weeks after our event! Our venue had restrictions that only allowed for 1 hour of pictures prior to our ceremony. Lauren and her assistant, Brendan, worked tirelessly to get all of our pictures done during that time so that we could enjoy our cocktail hour! She managed my expectations and worked with me to understand how the day would go. Additionally, she managed my timeline on my day and ensured I was in my dress on time, hair and make up done, and leaving the hotel as scheduled. Without her I definitely would have been late! One of the best/easiest decisions I made during my planning process was hiring Person & Killian photography. As a wedding professional myself I have worked with them on many weddings at various venues, and knew that I would be in the very best of hands. I can say that working with Jill in professional settings as well as now a personal setting has been nothing short of amazing. She put our entire family and bridal party at ease during formal photos as we took these prior to the ceremony when everyone was a little nervous. Any shots that we wanted to do she was game for, but also knew what photo combinations we would need for family photos, etc. The turnaround time that Jill got us our photos was unbelievable, so we are already able to relive our wedding day just weeks later. So much time, effort, and planning goes into a wedding and the only way to preserve it after is with photos and video, so as a wedding professional myself these are always my top recommendations for where to splurge. Lauren was far and away the most important member of our team leading up to and on our wedding day. She helped us get accustomed to being photographed by guiding us through a relaxed engagement shoot on a beautiful Boston summer day. She put us even more at ease by walking us through every detail of the day, showing us many different examples of albums, and telling us what to expect. Both my husband and I felt nervous about being in front of the camera for so long, so she went out of her way to bring on Ken, one of her assistant photographers with a reputation for making couples comfortable. We could not have been happier with our experience with Lauren Killian! We did both engagement photos and wedding photos and Lauren was helpful every step of the way.

We took our engagement photos on a chilly April day and Lauren knew all of the spots to shoot and made us both extremely comfortable. We were thrilled with how our engagement photos came out and this made us even more excited for Lauren to shoot our wedding.

I had a lot of questions leading up to our August 1st wedding and Lauren was always patient and quick to respond. The day of the wedding was chaotic as is expected. My bridesmaids and I were running about an hour and a half late to the venue because hair and makeup took longer than planned. I of course was a little tense but Lauren was so calm and made all of us comfortable. We did not do a first look so the majority of our photos were taken after the ceremony during a cocktail reception. It was in the low 90s on August 1st and we were lucky Lauren is such a pro so that we could take photos quickly because it was pretty uncomfortable to be in the sun.

We got all of our photos a short 10 days later which was amazing. I've had friends wait months for their wedding photos. Lauren did such a great job capturing every intimate moment that going through each photo was like reliving our day. We shared the photos with family and friends and everyone commented on how fantastic they are.

You definitely want Lauren to shoot your special day!

Jill Person is a dream to work with!! I had to plan my wedding remotely (we moved to CA just after we got engaged) and she was awesome! We didn’t do an engagement shoot, so she gave us extra time on the wedding day itself. This was awesome because we got their most basic package, so having the extra time was very appreciated.

She was professional, upbeat & gave us fun direction on the day of. Our photos came out beautifully - not as stiff as some albums I’ve seen. She (and her assistant, Ken) captured some great moments, like my mom sticking her tongue out at her friend while she walked down the aisle, the moment during our first dance when Alex lifted me up in the air (and the crowd’s reactions), and some great candids.

We are so happy with Person & Killian, and can’t wait to get our album!! They are WELL worth the price tag!

My husband and I got married in May 2015 in Punta Cana and we were lucky enough to have Jill Person as our photographer for the event. We were both a bit nervous about the idea of having so many photographs taken of us, but Jill was absolutely FABULOUS! Not only did she provide us with exceptionally beautiful pictures that captured the best day of our lives, but she also made the entire experience extremely peaceful and easy for both of us, our parents and the entire wedding party. She has the unique ability to ‘disappear’ at times so that the photographs are truly candid while being experienced and savvy enough to step up and relax everyone when she feels that the photos are not natural enough.

Jill was wonderful from the day we met her. Our engagement photos were a blast where she new all of the perfect spots in Back Bay, they could not have been more quintessentially Boston, we loved all of the photos! On our wedding day Lauren was not only an amazing photographer, she was a great wedding planner, hair stylist, nerve calmer, she does it all. She was efficient in managing our time to ensure we took all the photos we wanted, but didn't miss any of the fun either. She again scouted the venue to ensure we had all the perfect locations we wanted and she had the lighting she needed. She made the formal photo session fun which is not an easy task, so friendly and upbeat and most importantly quick and precise. Through out the wedding she checked in on me to make sure I had everything I needed and ensured I had the groups of photos I wanted but worked more organically. Again I can not say how wonderful it was to have Lauren with us on our big day!

We returned from our honeymoon and not two days later we had all of our photos to relive the big day. They are breathtaking, amazing and hilarious, they truly captured out big day perfectly! Your photos are all you have to hold onto after all the planning is over and thanks to Lauren they allow us to relive our day over and over! We live in the North End, and got married at the Old North Church, so we really wanted to do our engagement photos in the North End and along the Harbor. Jill Pearson had photographed my friend's wedding two years ago. When I saw her photos I knew that I would want her to do my wedding someday. That day arrived and I could not have asked for a better photographer! Jill and her staff were so professional, know how to capture every single beautiful shot, and truly are artists behind the lens. I actually work in the Boston Wedding Industry and get to work with Jill Person on a professional level, quite often. On the professional side, Jill is an absolute dream to work with. Always so positive, pro-active, enthusiastic, on-time, detail oriented and wanting to get the absolute best photographs for her bride and groom. She is truly dedicated to her job, her passion and the individuality of each bride and groom. Getting to be a bride myself this past July, working with Jill on a personal level was everything I knew it would be and more. She is incredibly genuine and takes the time to really get to know the bride and groom and what is important to them on their special day. I knew we would be in great hands! Having Jill there on our special day was not only FUN but she kept everyone organized and on schedule. She captured every detail of our wedding and we could not have asked for more beautiful photographs. Person and Killian Photography is amazing! We worked with Jill for our wedding and I knew from our first meeting that she would capture our day perfectly. From our engagement photos to our wedding day photos every picture is perfect we could not find one we did not like! The day of our wedding Jill was amazing she captured every moment from getting ready to the reception and each picture is flawless. We cant stop looking at them! Jill was so easy to work with any questions I had she answered and had our pictures back to us so soon after the wedding. We cant wait to work with her and pick our pictures for our wedding album! Lauren was SUCH a pleasure to work with and so fun! She was beyond accommodating and so professional, responded to all my emails very quickly. My husband and I were beyond thrilled with our engagement and wedding pictures. Simply stunning and beautiful and she made us feel so comfortable. She caught every moment and every little detail and we didn’t even notice her. She went above and beyond to make sure everything we wanted was captured. Another great item to note about Lauren is that she was GREAT about keeping us on schedule without making me feel stressed which is HUGE. Lauren made our wedding picture perfect! She was absolutely lovely - and answered any and all of my questions. Both my husband and I have huge families, and she handled organizing the dozens of different family combinations flawlessly. Our wedding albums are everything we could have wanted and more. I hope to find a reason to use her again!

Jill Person is wonderful! So easy to work with, takes incredible photos and really makes it all about the couple. My husband and I really did not want to do a first look, instead hoping to see each other at the ceremony for the first time. However, with a full Catholic mass wedding immediately followed by a reception across town, several photographers we spoke to during the vetting process told us that would be impossible for them to accommodate, their photo creativity would be compromised, and our ideal timeline would never work. Jill did no such thing. She was enthusiastic about our wishes, worked with us to build out the day's timing, and never even made it an issue. I'd also heard so many friends say that their photographer(s) was/were demanding day-of; Jill is the furthest from this. She was so unobtrusive while we got ready, during the ceremony and reception... never "in your face" or "taking center stage." I almost forgot we had a photographer at one point!!! Finally- for out-of-towners, we planned our wedding from afar, and Jill was always so easy to get in touch with, prompt in her response, and honest in her opinion while also keeping in mind our "vision." In short- we (obviously!) loved her!

I can't stress enough on how much we loved having Lauren Killian photograph our wedding. She was wonderful to work with and payed close attention to every detail of our wedding, making sure she captured every minute. She made sure that my wedding dress looked absolutely perfect in every photo. I do wish we had more time with Lauren during the reception to take additional photos with family & friends. All in all we are very happy with our wedding photos.

Jill Person was our engagement and wedding photo photographer and we could not have had a better experience with her. I am so beyond thrilled with both of our meetings with her and the photos that she took. I am someone who is very uncomfortable having my picture taken and I don't consider myself photogenic. Jill had such a great way at putting me and my now husband at ease. I have never been happier and more satisfied looking at pictures of myself. Jill is a true professional, warm, kind, and talented. I truly believe that the photographer is one of the single most important components of a wedding. The venue can be beautiful, the food can be delicious, the music can set the right mood - but if the photographer can't catch it all to help you (and everyone else) re-live the fabulous memories? Then it's (almost) all lost! With that said, Lauren Killian and her assistant completely captured the feeling of the entire evening! Every time we look at the photos, the wonderful memories of that day come flooding back to us and immediately make us smile and reminisce about what a great day & party we had.

Any wedding with an outdoor component is threatened by weather, and when it started to mist on our wedding day, Lauren was honest and responsive regarding not only the feasibility of taking pre-ceremony photos outside (and its potential effects on our hair!), but also her thoughts on how the back-up location should be set up for optimal photos & ease of use. In addition to providing beautiful photos, she provided a sense of calm during a situation that could easily through even the most even-keeled bride off course!

Finally, Lauren was also amazing to work with on all things outside of the day itself. From the initial email, to the first meeting, to engagement photos, to following up with the final album, she was responsive, professional and a joy to work with.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Lauren to any bride.

We worked with Jill Person of Person & Killian and could not have been happier with everything. She is a delight to work with, so nice and personable, and most importantly takes amazing photographs. Neither my husband nor I consider ourselves photogenic (in fact, we are usually asking each other, "we're not that ugly in real life, right?"), but every picture Jill took we LOVED and felt that she made us look the best possible version of ourselves. It's amazing to actually like photos of myself. I would absolutely recommend Jill to any person for any event. Also, I get that photography can make up a large portion of your budget, but for us, it was absolutely worth it to go with someone who is so amazingly talented, incredibly responsive, and overall fabulous. One significant thing I should mention is turn around time. We got our engagement photos the same day they were taken and got our wedding photos while still on our honeymoon (within a few weeks of the wedding). My sense of things is you will be THRILLED with the end result, and the process.

Lauren and Jill are absolutely the best you could ask for. I was lucky enough to get to work with both of them for my wedding and from our first meeting to the handoff of our pictures, they were top-notch professionals and so so fun to work with. They quickly responded to every email and never made me feel like I was bothering them. They also made me and my groom feel very comfortable on the big day and I never felt like I was being followed around by paparazzi. My wedding was on a cold day in December and, like the champs they are, Lauren and Jill were willing to work outside and to do so very efficiently (since we were all freezing!). To top it all off, their work is perfection. I have never seen pictures of higher quality. They truly captured the day and made everyone look their best. I would recommend them to any and everyone.

Working with Person + Killian for our wedding was a delightful experience. At our initial meeting with Lauren, we were so impressed with her professionalism and warmth. We connected with Lauren right away and loved her enthusiasm for her work.

Our outdoor engagement photos were gorgeous because Lauren captured the effects of sunlight so well. My husband and I also liked working with Lauren in advance of the big day.

On our wedding day, Lauren and her assistant worked expertly directing a large wedding party and making sure all key family photos were taken. Even more special, they captured many intimate moments between the bridal party.

Importantly, Person+ Killian's style in not intrusive. You and your guests will not even realize the camera is in the room. But, when you can re-live every hour of your wedding day and night through the pictures, you'll know you picked the right photographer. We absolutely love the photos. Lauren's expertise is amazing!!

I can't say enough great things about Person + Killian! We worked with Lauren and her assistant throughout the entire wedding weekend from Rehearsal Dinner through the reception. My husband and I aren't 100% comfortable in front of the camera and Lauren made us feel completely relaxed and was really unobtrusive throughout the wedding day. She also went above and beyond her photographer role in trying to help us with other small mishaps throughout the wedding day. We truly don't know what we would have done without her! More importantly, they captured our special day and created beautiful memories of our family and friends that we can cherish for years to come. Her pictures are absolutely stunning! Where do I possibly start? I cannot say enough about Person and Killian and Lauren Killian who handled our engagement and wedding photography. Lauren is a true professional and beyond talented. Lauren was absolutely delightful to work with, was a wonderful resource and her work was truly spectacular. My husband and I were so grateful to have Lauren to work. She made the day of the wedding seamless. Lauren is organized, knows the wedding industry inside and out and just a pleasure to be around. We had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding thanks to Person & Killian. Jill Person was our wedding photographer and really made our day feel special. She was in constant communication with us well before the wedding and made us feel like we were the only client she had.

I loved working with Jill because she made us feel so comfortable. I am not the photo-loving type and had the best experience because she made me relax. Jill was incredible right from the start. I loved that the engagement photo session was included with my package. I would highly recommend Person + Killian to any bride-to-be. We were lucky enough to have Lauren and an assistant photographer document our special day and I am beyond satisfied with the results! I think having a high-caliber photographer for your wedding is one of, if not the most important part of the event. That being said, go with Person + Killian if you want to work with industry professionals who you will not have to worry about. I haven't come across any other photographers whose work matches that of P+K. Lauren is very personable and easy to work with.

My husband and I are obsessed with our wedding pictures and we have received countless compliments on the photographs. I am extremely thankful that we will have such beautiful photos to remind us of that special day!

If you’re looking for an experienced, professional photographer….look no further. I hired Person + Killian Photography to capture my wedding, the best decision I could have made! Lauren was professional, fun and captured my day perfectly! My husband who is always a skeptic said, you could tell she knew exactly what she was doing, she impressed him and he instantly took a liking to her!
The day of my wedding was very cold and windy; Lauren was patient making sure she got every photo we wanted and more. She captured every single detail from my dress to my shoes! I was so excited to see my pictures and so impressed with how many photos they were, I usually hate photos of myself, but now I have so many to choose from I don’t know where to start!! Looking at the photos was like seeing a video from the day; I got to relive it all over again. There is not one guest I don’t have picture of…..my guests commented on how she never stopped the whole night, she wasn’t intrusive but every time I wanted a special photo she was right there, plus she got some great candid’s, that I will cherish for years to come. Person + Killian photographed both my wedding and rehearsal dinner, and the pictures are amazing!!!! I received the first "teaser" while on my honeymoon, and literally started jumping up and down with excitement. Once the wedding is over, the photos are the only real memories/proof that you have that it really happened, and Lauren Killian captured the entire weekend perfectly.

Aside from the pictures, the experience of working with Lauren was also amazing. She was so professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the weekend, which to me was priceless (she even helped take my veil out!)

While I am sure there are plenty of great photographers in the area, working with Person + Killian is a guarantee for fabulous pictures and a calming presence on a day where those are the two things you want more than anything!

We were lucky enough to have both Lauren and Jill photograph our wedding!! We cannot explain how wonderful and grateful we are to have them work with us. Not only are the pictures INCREDIBLE ( I mean I never look good in pictures and they made me look killer in everyone!) but they were in our mailbox the day we returned from our honeymoon! Unbelievable! To top it all off, they are very kind, fun, generous and warm women who became part of our special day. They always seemed to be at the right place at the right time, they listened to our needs and made us feel so comfortable. We knew we were going to be happy with them but I cannot reccommend them enough!! They took wedding pictures that are just so us and we are SO happy with them.

Jill was absolutely fantastic to work with. She captured all of the special moments during our wedding day. She worked well with our videographer, even though she hadn't worked with him previously. Our wedding day was of course overwhelming and she did a great job of giving us space to just breathe and relax when she saw we were getting overwhelmed. She sent us our images in a remarkably short time given that the end of May was the start of their busy season. We haven't yet put together our album, but I'm sure the outstanding quality of her work will extend to that as well. When we began planning our daughter's wedding 18 months ago, the first vendor that we scheduled, after the venue, was Person + Killian. After viewing sample books at several venues, it quickly became clear to us that this was the premier Boston photographer: the quality of photographs and their ability to capture the personalities was outstanding. In working with Jill Person, we were not disappointed. The engagement session included in our package was well worth using, because it provided an opportunity for the bridal couple and Jill to become acquainted and comfortable with each other, and of course yielded some outstanding photos! Jill was thorough in her preparation for the wedding, which translated into her being almost imperceptible during the event itself. She was familiar with both the ceremony and reception venues, and well-prepared to deal, for example, with the fact that our church imposed restrictions on access during the ceremony--all of which meant that she obtained her shots in a manner that did not interfere with the ceremony. She captured the joyous mood of the day through formal and informal photos, and throughout the event. I am amazed at the quality of formal shots taken in a fairly short period of time, for example, prior to the ceremony. When we needed advice, she provided it. When we needed accommodation for family photos of people who were not able to arrive pre-ceremony, she did that, too. Somehow, Jill and her assistant managed to capture every shot we could have hoped for, and more. The difficulty we will have will be in choosing! What a happy dilemma, because as I read many times, what you have after the wedding (besides a happy bridal couple and, in our case, a terrific son-in-law!) are the photographs and the memories. I am very happy that we invested our resources in such quality photography, which was well worth the expense.

During the wedding, Lauren was so laid back but efficiently got us all together for photos. We already have the images from our wedding, and they are beautiful! I would highly recommend Lauren. I was lucky enough to have both Lauren and Jill at my wedding and they did an amazing job! I cannot say enough about our experience with them and everyone is obsessed with our pictures. The day of the wedding, Jill and Lauren kept me at ease and both were so discreet we barely knew they were there. They were able to capture every important moment as well as plenty of amazing candids! Both are extremely talented and a lot of fun to work with! Lauren sent us our CDs of our pictures the week after our wedding. Needless to say, the photographs came out wonderful and exceeded our expectations. I cannot wait to get my wedding album and I would most definitely recommend Person and Killian to every bride I know!

Working with Person & Killian was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The very first day I met Lauren, I knew that I wanted to work with her. Not only was she perfectly professional, but she was also extremely cool and fun to be around. She also had great recommendations for other wedding vendors (like Boston Wedding Films) which ended up being great advice. It's important for a photographer to "get you" when you're planning your wedding photos. Person & Killian will make your day that much more special and will in fact take away from any stress you may feel the day of and leading up to the wedding. I just can't express enough positive thoughts to Lauren Killian for the beautiful job she did for my daughters wedding. Bethany knows Lauren from being in the wedding business and always told me what a wonderful person and photographer she was. I was an out-of-town bride -- planning a wedding from 3000 miles away. Thankfully I stumbled upon the amazing website of Person + Killian which instantly peeked my interest. Their work was exactly the feel I was hoping to have for our wedding pictures. I am not a woman of art or creativity -- I belong in the world of science -- but each photograph I saw in their portfolio was a piece of art. Through their work one can truly feel the organic energy of the event they were covering.

Once we met Lauren we were sold! She instantly put us at ease during our engagement session and allowed us to be our goofy awkward selves. I feel truly lucky to have met Lauren Killian and to have had the pleasure of having her photograph my wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. Like many brides, I had spent too many hours dreaming of my wedding day before I even knew what my groom would look like. It was therefore so important to me to find a photographer who was brilliant with a camera and who would capture the day just as I had imagined it. Lauren surpassed even my highest expectations. My entire family fell in love with her on the day of the wedding just as I had when I first met her. Lauren was invisible, quick, professional, adorable, and captured the most intimate and spectacular moments of my wedding that I would not have otherwise remembered. I am so pleased with my wedding photos and cannot narrow down my favorites for my album. I have had the pleasure of knowing Lauren and Jill for a years but for my wedding was the first time i had the honor of working with them. Working with Person+Killian was such a pleasure. Lauren's professionalism shined throughout the day. She was happy to contribute as a personal advisor with everything from finding my florist to building my wedding day timeline. Other than wanting to understand our objectives relative to photography, Lauren and staff were complete self-starters throughout the process. They were unobtrusive and quietly went about recording the most special day of my life. The final product that Person+Killian presented to us really captured every detail of the evening. Looking at the pictures not only tells the story of the day start to finish but puts a smile on my face everytime I go to look at them. Person & Killian Photography was by far one of the best decisions if not the best decison I made in planning my wedding! I was engaged and married in less than seven months which didn't exactly leave a ton of time to plan but I knew what I wanted. I knew that I wanted a photographer that didn't just take a bunch of random pictures of the day, I wanted a photographer to take pictures that captured the warmth and emotion of that we were feeling. When the day was done, which lets face it... it goes by in a blink of an eye your left with nothing but memories and the pictures!
