    Hospitality at its finest

The Perry Lane was one of the best decisions I made wedding planning. They went above and beyond to accommodate every request and question I had. From being extremely responsive in the planning period, taking the burden off my shoulders when it came to details, and even having snacks and wine in the room after the wedding, they made us feel special all weekend. Kasey even ran out to get Gatorade and cough drops when I was feeling sick the day before the wedding!

Pierce and I didn't want to leave!! Couldn't have imagined our wedding anywhere else.

Absolutely Magical Wedding at the Perry Lane Hotel!!!!

We booked the Perry Lane about 2 years ago for our wedding in February 2023 and everything was truly perfect. Kasey and Ivana were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. Kasey was incredibly patient in answering all of my (many) questions over the past 2 years and she just was really enjoyable to work with. We loved the Perry Lane, our guests loved it too and absolutely wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else. Best decision ever! Thank you again for making our day absolutely magical!!!!

Beautiful! The best day of our lives!

What's not to love about this venue? With the best views of the city on the rooftop and impeccable customer service I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. We fell in love with the Perry Lane as soon as we walked in. Ultimately we got married on the rooftop and had our reception in the ballroom/terrace on October 7th. It could not have been better, the sunset was absolutely stunning, and being a short walk to chippeway square we got amazing pictures in the greenery as well. We stayed at the hotel for about a week as did some of our friends and family and everyone was raving about the 5 star customer service and the food as well!! Thank you soon again Perry Lane for making our big day truly a fairy tale!

Hi Emma, Thank you so much for your message! You all were truly a pleasure to host and the most beautiful couple! We can't wait to see photos and for you all to visit us again soon. - Kasey & Ivana

Perry Lane Hotel is Gracious Hospitality!

Perry Lane Hotel was the perfect venue to host our wedding weekend. It’s modern, stylish and have great restaurants and bars on the property. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean as well as the common areas. The bed was so comfortable we just wanted to stay in. The staff was wonderful - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
Event Manager, Ivana Ferro and team was exceptional! She helped us plan a phenomenal wedding weekend and the food was delicious! From the rehearsal dinner to the cocktail hour and reception on the rooftop ballroom and outdoor space. Her responsiveness, attention to detail and high quality of service was great! If you are looking for great service and southern charm Perry Lane Hotel is it!

    1st class all the way...

We stayed here for our wedding night and the night after. They were more than accommodating when we requested a very early check in (8am!), the valets remembered us and greeted us by name every time we were in and out, the room was gorgeous and well appointed. You cannot help but feel super stylish when staying here. We cannot wait to come back. Also- the rooftop views are amazing!!

    A Little Disappointing

We were very excited to have our wedding at the Perry Lane Hotel, but ultimately our experience fell short of our expectations.
We knew that Fall was a popular season for weddings in Savannah, so we started looking a year and a half out. After checking out a few venues, we fell in love with the Perry Lane because of its modern yet vintage styling and its Art Deco architecture. It felt very representative of us as a couple, and we liked the idea of having a luxury experience at a five-star hotel for our special day. We’re kind of a quirky couple, and liked the idea of getting married on Friday the 13th. Since they said the date was available, we filled out and signed a contract. Next we booked our photographer and DJ, only to find out that the hotel did NOT in fact have 10/13 available. We’re still not sure how that availability was missed, but we were told we needed to pick a new date, which meant finding a new DJ, since our original choice was not available on the new date. For their part, the hotel did extend some concessions for their mistake, but we were still disappointed.
As our date approached, we started becoming concerned with the communication from the hotel. We weren’t receiving information proactively from them, and had to ask very specific questions to get the answers we were looking for. We started to get the impression that our event was not important, and we were just another couple of guests at the hotel. We were told that another event was booked in the same room as ours earlier in the day and now our vendors would have 2 hours for setup. My wife and I have both been working in the wedding industry for 15 years, and we both know 2 hours is not enough time to set up a wedding, and we also know that the properties we are accustomed to work for would not schedule another event the same day as a wedding, certainly not at a luxury five-star property. We were told this was a special booking the General Manager had made. Because of this, our vendors had to make special arrangements for loading in extra early, only to be told the morning of that they could not load in at the agreed upon time. As a result, our setup was very rushed, one of our floral installations was incomplete, our photographer was not able to take room shots without staff in the photos (since they were still setting up the room), and all vendors were visibly stressed and flustered by the time reception started.
Fortunately, we were unaware of these problems happening at the time and were elated by how beautiful our room looked. The catering staff was very professional, and the service was great. We would also be remiss not to mention the one manager Elise that went above and beyond throughout the whole process. When we first started having concerns during the planning process, we were connected with Elise, and she really made us feel like she genuinely cared about us. She was very attentive and helpful and really tried her best to give us the experience we hoped for. Unfortunately she only had so much control, which brings me to the biggest disappointment of the night: the food.
For all the things the hotel caused us to worry about during the planning process (and there were several), we never expected there to be any problems with the food. The tasting was great, and it’s a five-star hotel, of course the food will be great, right? Sadly it was not. Nearly every steak was overdone, including my own, which was also served cold. Now if this happened at a restaurant I would have surely said something, but since this was my wedding, there were other things on my mind, and I let it go. Apparently since I said nothing at the time, my claims were denied by the staff, claiming there was nothing wrong with the steaks. As we later found out the truth from our guests, their experience was similarly disappointing. Now, I’ve never made steaks for 40-something guests that needed to be served at once, so I can’t imagine how complicated it is, but I’m under the impression they do this every weekend, so I’m not sure why they failed so miserably at our wedding.
As if cold, overcooked food was not disappointing enough, hardly any of our guests were able to enjoy the dessert because it was cleared less than 30 minutes after it was served.
But what really left us with a bad taste in our mouth was how the hotel handled our feedback when we emailed them our experience. My wife sent an email that was mostly positive, but pointing out how the food was disappointing and that most guests didn’t know there was a dessert. But instead of receiving an apology, we were met with a very defensive email from the Banquet Director, basically denying our allegations and accusing us of lying.

For their part, the hotel did offer a partial refund for the dessert being cleared too early (and also for two of our linens that the hotel somehow lost), but not before we escalated the situation to Elise again, proving again that she is the only person at that hotel that cared about us, but also reminding us that if not for her, our wedding would have been a complete, unmitigated disaster.

Our overall impression of the Perry Lane hotel is that it is a faux five-star experience. On the whole, (aside from the servers), the staff appears to be inexperienced, especially client-facing catering staff. It feels as though they were all hired or promoted without any proper training, and nobody cares because the hotel is booked solid in spite of it. The luxury you are paying for is the beauty of the property, and that’s about it. The food at our welcome dinner at the Pirate House was better than the food at the Perry Lane, and the service we received from every one of our vendors was superior to that of the hotel. All-in-all a big let down. It is also worth noting that throughout this process, we asked for a call with the General Manager several times but were refused.
