Highly recommended wedding coordinator!

I recently hired Desiree, owner of Perfectly Yours, as my day-of wedding coordinator for my February 2023 wedding in Washington D.C., and I couldn’t be happier with how it came together! Desiree did an excellent job ensuring that everything ran smoothly on our big day. She was referred to us by one of my best friends, and I’m so glad we chose her to help coordinate our special day! She had great attention to detail, and we were impressed with her professionalism. Additionally, Desiree was very personable and made us feel very comfortable throughout the wedding day. We highly recommend Desiree to anyone looking for a great value and highly talented day-of wedding coordinator!

Absolutely worth the money!!

Desiree did such an amazing job! I was on the fence about needing a wedding coordinator. But I am SO SO happy that we did it. I felt like I could totally relax on the wedding day and just let Desiree and her team handle things. I appreciated her advice and guidance along the way when working with other vendors, setting the timeline for the day, etc. She was especially helpful with my family members who have some accessibility issues. She made she sure they were accommodated and never missed any important moments. I cannot recommend her enough!

Made the day stress free!

Desiree made my wedding day run smoothly and stress free, and I recommend her to all of my engaged friends and colleagues! She is incredibly organized and has great interpersonal skills. I greatly appreciated her approach, which was to problem solve in the background, and only raise something to us if it would change our vision or go over a specific price point. She ran things expertly, and she and her assistant also did an amazing job putting out flowers and decor and packed everything up for me at the end of the night! Having been a bridesmaid in many weddings, I have seen first hand how some day of coordinators put the stress of problem solving on the bride, which is awful. Not Desiree and Marie! If anything went wrong I was blissfully unaware. She really went above and beyond to make things perfect. We had a fantastic day. Hire her!

An amazing team that we highly recommend!

Desiree and her team were amazing helpers for our wedding! We booked their day-of services and couldn't have asked for a better team. They were extremely helpful and kept everything in check so we could enjoy our night without worrying about anything. We met a couple of times via phone and at our rehearsal dinner to go over the detailed timeline before hand, and as a result our day went very smoothly. From coordinating the DJ, decor, and caterer, they truly did it all. We definitely recommend their services!

Desiree, you angel

I truly don't want to know how my wedding day would have gone if Desiree and her assistant Marie weren't there to work their magic. Desiree is the organized, 3-steps-ahead, beautifully Type A person I aspire to be, and she's exactly who you want handling things on the big day. Not only did she leave no stone unturned when it came to pre-wedding orders of business (collecting and reviewing all of our vendor agreements, liaising with our venue and scheduling a walk-through, discussing the timeline, executing a thorough rehearsal, etc), she was integral in making sure all details were covered through set-up and breakdown. I know no wedding day is perfect, and yet whatever might have gone wrong was clearly well-handled because I'm still not aware of any issues that arose. Desiree is phenomenal and makes it all look easy, and that just speaks to both the experience she has in this industry as well as her natural ability to project manage and maintain order. You absolutely need a day-of coordinator (don't let anyone tell you you don't!), and hiring Desiree is a no-brainer.

Hire Perfectly Yours for a Stress-free day!

Perfectly Yours (Desiree & Marie) were amazing to work with! I hired them as the day-of coordinator for our wedding, but they even made sure we were all organized the last few months leading up. If you want to reduce your stress/worries day-of to zero, and just be able to focus on spending time with your friends and family, I'd recommend working with Perfectly Yours. They kept us ahead of schedule during the event which allowed us to have even more time on the dance floor. My only regret was using only their day-of services and not their other planning services. They are amazing!!

Fantastic Wedding Coordinator!

My husband and I interviewed seven day-of wedding coordinators and Desiree was miles above the other six. The two main points that she said that sealed the deal for us was one, the offer to be available at any time for a phone conversation, even if someone just needed to vent about family members, and two, when she told us that she reviews all contracts thoroughly and will double check to make sure that the vendors follow them to a T, even citing instances in which she was able to get couples refunds when contracts weren’t met.

The day of, Desiree handled everything masterfully, ensuring that all vendors were in sync and that all members of the bridal party were ready, comfortable, and most importantly, fed! (with all the running around you do sometimes forget to eat). She also made sure that all the items we wanted set out, such as pictures, wedding favors, guest sign in sheet, signature drink card, and cake toppers were all taken care of and beautifully arranged.

After the wedding, we touched base with her a few more times to wrap some things up and she was always available and incredibly kind. Don’t even second guess it; go with Desiree. She’s a no-nonsense, competent champion in your corner on the big day and you couldn’t ask for a better one. We can’t recommend her enough!

Wonderful Coordinators!

Perfectly Yours was a great choice for coordinators for our wedding day. We hired them very late into the planning process and they came up to speed on everything quickly. They got to know what we wanted (and what we didn't want), and they took care of almost all vendor communications for the month leading up to the wedding. They managed all the setup the day of, directed and managed all the other vendors, managed moving floral arrangements (outdoor ceremony to indoor decor use), and helped with the cleanup and closing at the end of the night. They were very professional, friendly, and organized. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to be worrying about big and very small details the day of their wedding. They were also amazing at keeping things calm and organized when we were running into unexpected delays and Marie was exactly the person we needed to manage unexpected problems and stress so we could enjoy our wedding day.

Stellar professionals - pick them and don't look back!

THE PERFECTLY YOURS TEAM WAS STELLAR!! We originally were not planning on having a coordinator, but since our venue required it, we reached out and Desiree and Marie made all the difference! Trust the experts - you need a coordinator to tie all the many, many pieces together, because YOU don't want to be that go between on the big day. (For example, hard to tell the florist who to talk to at the church for where the alter flowers should go when you yourself are getting hair and makeup done... Or to help grandma to her seat when you're out doing sunset photos... Yeah - Desiree and Marie do that!) Overall, they're true experts and professionals. They went above and beyond the simple day-of coordinating and were in touch with us the whole way.

Just a few examples: I was lost/frustrated in searching for an alterations place. Having moved in the middle of wedding planning, I bought my dress in another city and had to find alterations here in the NoVA area. Everywhere I found on my own quoted me MORE than the entire cost of the dress!! Desiree recommended a place that was perfect (nice professional seamstress, excellent work, and right on price point).

Also, I thought I had prepared for everything with my "to-go Bride bag." I was even helping out guests at the reception! (Oh you need floss after dinner - got that! Snag on a dress - I've got scissors...). I was completely unprepared, however, for when my new step-daughter in all her excitement, went sprinting across a lawn in heals and sprained her ankle BAD. Marie was there to help scoop her up and even handed over an ace bandage she had. My daughter spent the rest of the night on the dance floor just fine. Could have ruined her/our night, but Marie was prepared for ANYTHING.

Desiree did a great job helping with our big day. She was kind, very organized, and willing to do anything I asked of her. The best part of hiring Desiree is that she is willing to help with set up and clean up. This was so important to me. At so many weddings I have seen elderly parents and family members busily running around trying to put up decorations before guests arrive and then having to stay for hours afterward to clean the venue. I feel like this completely ruins the experience for family members. Desiree brought such a peace of mind to me and my family because we were actually able to attend the wedding. No worrying about what needs to be done. Everyone was able to leisurely arrive at a normal time before the ceremony, and go home and rest after our big exit. She was also able to suggest competent vendors that met our budget. She was absolutely worth every penny. I cannot recommend her enough.

Desiree of Perfectly Yours was honestly the best decision we made in our wedding planning. She is super friendly and warm, but consistently professional. She was always available and handled a couple minor crises that popped up (as they always do when planning a wedding!) and put my mind at ease. I was one of those brides that is, by nature, very type A (spreadsheets, handling a full-time job at the same time, you know) and thought "I don't really need a wedding planner..." I'm very glad I talked myself out of that nonsense. We hired Desiree as a Day-of-Coordinator but in reality, she was in touch with us from the moment we hired her, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding handled a lot of the details. This was especially helpful as I had to go out of the country on short notice and my then-fiancé works full time too. Hire Desiree and you will be so thankful.

Desiree was wonderful. She was on time to every meeting, listened intently, and offered suggestions to make sure my day ran smoothly. She also helped me stay on top of my payment schedules for all my vendors by creating a shared calendar. In the end, my wedding was perfect and any hiccups were managed by Desiree, expertly. Definitely would recommend to other brides who need a day of coordinator.

I hired Perfectly Yours for day-of coordination, and I am so glad that I did!! Desiree was really great to work with. She has such a pleasant personality and was very patient and accommodating. I am a DIYer and had really specific things in mind for the theme, decor, and traditions I did and did not want to incorporate for my wedding. She made really good suggestions to help facilitate my vision and brought up ideas for details that I had not even thought of. She had to make a few game time decisions based on a few mishaps, and she handled them nicely. She understood my vision, which helped me relax a bit. I would totallly recommend Desiree. She is a gem!

Admittedly, I was not sure how much I was going to really need a wedding planner. I felt pretty confident that my fiancee and I could manage the vendors and wedding planning. I initially met with Desiree because I thought it would be a good idea to find someone to help with day of with set up/logistics etc. Let me tell you...I was WRONG about not needing more from our planner. Desiree did SO MUCH MORE than what she did on the day of. I hired her as a month of planner but quickly realized how amazing it would have been to have her help months prior. She was so unbelievably helpful, responsive and showed so much enthusiasm. I don't even really know how to put it all into words in a little review. I had a few certain things that I really wanted at my wedding (reception decorations, shuttle schedules, ice cream truck). Desiree worked her magic and I had exactly what I wanted. She gave me suggestions to keep my ideas budget friendly, yet still showstopping. She picked EVERYTHING up from me a few days before the wedding so that I didn't have to think of remembering ANYTHING. I had a lot of stuff too! She made it perfect. Honestly perfect. She remembered every detail I had made in passing and executed it without question. Another amazing thing she accomplished was completely RUNNING the rehearsal and wedding reception via her impeccable timelines and leadership. She communicated with the other vendors including DJ, flowers, cake and event space, Desiree made my day stress- free and relaxed, allowing me to have the best time with my husband and our wedding guests.

Desiree was an absolute pleasure to work with! She made everything from planning to day of coordination a breeze and I couldnt have felt more secure and happy about everything all the way up to our wedding day! We had a pretty big wedding too - about 200 people. I usually dont write reviews. But just want to let everyone know that if you are hesitant about using her services - please dont be. Desiree and Ashley of Perfectly Yours are AMAZING. There is NO WAY my wedding would have happened without them. They are so professional and easy to work with. Best of all, they are real people. They have great ideas and really helped keep moving things along. They are good with nervous, stressed out brides and detailed oriented, stressed out moms. They meet with you at the beginning to get an idea of what is important to you. They keep you the focus. As you progress they help you streamline your ideas and work out a timeline. Desiree was ready to help me put together 155 pom poms at the last minute. They made my wedding day run smoothly and do a great job of blending into the scene while still getting everything done. The best part was, because of them, my mom and I got to actually enjoy the special day. I TOTALLY recommend them to anyone. Don't plan a wedding without Perfectly Yours!!!

Desiree had a flexible schedule for planning and preparing for the wedding. She was able to meet at the venue and give wonderful ideas to make the wedding even more special. She and her assistant were extremely prepared the day of the wedding and helped with every little detail. She was very personable and was knowledgable in every aspect of planning a wedding. I orginally hired Perfectly Yours as a day coordinator for my wedding on September 1st, 2012, just to help me set up the reception. However Desiree was so much more helpful that I could ever have imagined! She coordinated with all of my vendors, set up the entire reception, worked through all the kinks of the wedding day, so I didn't even have one worry on my wedding day- not one. Not only is she professional and emails you back in like 10 minutes, she's so friendly and helpful during such a stressful time. I would reccommend Perfectly Yours for every occasion- it was truly perfect!

Desiree has a great attitude and genuinely loves every aspect of the wedding process from start to finish. She was a great person to ask for things that came up last minute or I wasn’t able to complete. She was more than happy to help with any task I asked her to do such as running to Georgetown to get a bracelet for my maid of honor and handing out programs for the ceremony. Desiree also stayed behind at the end of the night to help pack up all the items we brought with us to the venue where we were married. I felt comfortable leaving her in charge to make sure everything was cleaned up and packed away when the reception ended. She was a huge help and I would definitely recommend her!

Desiree Walker was an amazing help during the planning of my wedding. Her creativity really helped bring our ideas to life. She helped with keeping the wedding moving, such as annoucing speaches and our first dance. She made sure everything and everyone had a spot and got to it from set up to clean up. Desiree was the perfect event planner. She was easy to work with, had wonderful ideas and suggestions, knew where and how to get things done, and calmed my wedding nerves with her positive, can-do demeanor. Desiree was great and everything we needed in a day-of coordinator. She made sure that we didn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day and saved us from having to rely on family and friends, therefore impacting their day. I can't imagine how stressful and hectic the day would have been if things weren't in her (and her assistant's) capable hands. Throughout the coordination process (initial meeting, venue meeting, final meeting), we felt fully confident that she understood our vision, even when we weren't quite sure what we wanted. She made recommendations when appropriate and was our advocate with the venue when we were just a bit overwhelmed with all of the decisions. At the end of the reception, we had at least two vendors come up to us to express that Desiree was one of the most organized, professional, and effective coordinators they had ever worked with. We debated on getting a coordinator because the venue came with one, but are so glad we hired someone who was there for us. Well worth the money. Thank you, Desiree!

Desiree and Ashley were wonderful! I was not convinced on purchasing a day of wedding coordinator and then I saw a voucher for one and decided to go for it. So glad that I did, they were Godsends! Although I only hired day of services, Desiree was very responsive to emailed questions or phone calls in between. She also transported items that I purchased for the wedding to the venue for me. She assisted the caterers wherever needed and ensured the room was together in time. She also kept the time schedule in check. She ensured the palace was empty on time so that I received my full deposit. Overall, great experience, highly recommend her. My mom even loved their services and she's a hard lady to please!

Incredible Experience!

Desiree was an absolute GEM to work with! From the beginning to end of this process, she remained professional, attentive, and caring. She made our wedding day go seamlessly and for that I am forever thankful! She was able to handle anything that was thrown at her throughout this process and did it so graciously. Her assistant was also very attentive and professional. They made my wedding day go off without a hitch. I highly recommend Perfectly Yours if you are needing a day of coordinator that truly cares about the couple and wedding guests. I feel lucky to have hired Desiree to assist us on our wedding day, as she is very knowledgeable, insightful, and very good at her job! We couldn’t have done it without her!

I wasn't planning on having a day-of coordinator because I thought I could do it all myself, with the help of my venue. But about 2 months before my wedding, I got really nervous about venue set-up and other details, so I went searching for a day-of coordinator. My now-husband and I were impressed with Desiree from the start. For our initial meeting, she came into DC because that was most convenient for us. (Other coordinators did their initial meeting over the phone.) She was down-to-earth and friendly--we got a great vibe from her. It helped that she herself got married at our venue (Atrium at Meadowlark) and she was reasonable priced compared to other coordinators I talked to (she charges $1200 for day-of services - and she brings an assistant).

She was extremely helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding - for example, she emailed us from a wedding she was at to give us a helpful hint about our s'mores bar. She was also a godsend at the rehearsal and on the day of - our church coordinator did not attend the rehearsal (and he was late the day of the wedding!!), so we were lucky to have Desiree to step in and fill that role.

Desiree does not do a ton of bells and whistles like other companies do, but she is low-key, kind, and gets the job done. Would highly recommend!

We loved working with Desiree and her assistant. Desiree was our Day of Coordinator but met with us a few times before the wedding and gave us much needed advice. She handled all of the logistics on the day of and the event went off without a hitch. I would recommend her to a friend.

We found Perfectly Yours from a Specialicious deal, and thank goodness we did! I had been stressing out about not having a day-of coordinator, and the deal with 50% of day-of services.

We met with Desiree and Ashley several times before the wedding, including the initial meeting, run through at the venue, timeline meeting, and rehearsal. It was a huge help to have someone's input who had been to so many weddings, because there were a lot of things we were unsure of. The rehearsal ran a LOT longer than we thought it would, and Desiree stayed the whole time to help us with set up which was above and beyond what was expected.

It rained the whole day of the wedding (and the wedding and reception was outside) and Desiree and Ashley were at the venue all day to ensure that the tent got set up, that all of the decorations were in place and not ruined, and that everything was the way we imagined it. They had 4 different weather apps up with hourly radars to determine if we could still have the wedding outside and were great about helping with that.

We have a habit of getting carried away with our friends and our wedding was no exception. Desiree and Ashley were great about keeping us on track (sometimes it got a little annoying if I was in the middle of something), and kept the whole wedding running smoothly!

Hiring Desiree was one of the best choices we made while planning our wedding. I had a limited budget, and she worked with me to design a package that suited my needs and my finances. She provided week-of services, including a final walk-through, coordinating the vendors' arrival, and managing everything on the wedding day. Not having to worry about what was happening on the wedding day was worth every penny. I was able to enjoy the wedding and my guests without worrying about anything. Desiree did a great job keeping the vendors, family, and wedding party organized and on track with our schedule. Everything was properly placed, and I noticed that she even repurposed the bridesmaids' bouquets as reception decorations (which was unplanned, but great). Desiree has an eye for detail, and she enacted my vision for my wedding very well. I think the highest compliment came from my mother, who said that she felt like an honored guest at my wedding, rather than a harried MOB. The only thing that didn't go well was getting my decorations back after the wedding. Several of my picture frames and table numbers came back broken. I asked Desiree about the broken items, and although she didn't know how they had broken, she kindly offered to replace them. I declined this offer because the items were small, but I appreciated the gesture. Overall, I was extremely pleased with Desiree's services, and I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner/coordinator to every bride-to-be.

We hired Desiree as our day of the wedding coordinator. She was very responsive and made herself available for in-person meetings and walk through. Our venue had a very strict end time and she kept us within our timeline. Thanks Desiree!

We planned our wedding in a very short time frame - 2 months. We hired Desiree to serve as our Day of Coordinator. Prior to the wedding she was always available when needed and willing to offer her advice. On the day of she and her assistant were very willing to do everything they could to make our special day run smoothly. I was most grateful about all the packing up and organizing they did at the end of the night. I didn't have to worry about any of that and received all my items, some very special to my family, safe and sound. I am appreciative of the services Perfectly Yours provided.
