Shari and her Team were incredible!!

Shari and her team were absolutely fantastic, professional, pro-active, kind and extremely responsive! My husband and I planned and replanned our wedding 3 times due to multiple unforeseen circumstances, one being the COVID pandemic. Shari never flinched - she remained calm, composed, and poised through it all and brought every solution to the table. She made herself constantly available to us, even if it was just a text update or quick call to put my mind at ease or update me on the most recent guidelines. Shari's relationships with other Pittsburgh vendors was very impressive. We had to re-book hair and make-up three times and Shari found me reputable and fantastic vendors time and time again. When C19 struck, we had to change our venue. Her ability to grasp our vision for the wedding at two venues was remarkable. Shari saw through my eyes and brought us the wedding of our dreams. On the wedding day, Shari's team (and Linda Chang) were fantastic. Most importantly, Shari is a kind, wonderful person who truly cares about her brides/couples and creating a beyond special experience for them. She does this with professionalism and poise, and always with a smile on her face. She is also very funny and a please to be around! I will 100% look for a reason to work with Shari and her team again.

First I want to say a big Thank you to Shari Zatman and her team for organising and coordinating with such professionalism . We had a wedding reception for my first born at Allegheny country club. I had no idea where and how to start with the wedding planning . I met Shari and she helped and guided me with each step of planning , meeting with the vendors , gave me different options and was so prompt with my questions by FaceTime , text and emails . We met with the vendors in advance and was given all the estimates before the event . Shari has a beautiful personality. I was very comfortable working with her and she was ready and eager to answer all my questions at any time of the day. Not only Shari is very pleasant but has great professional work ethics. Wonderful experience

Shari and her team did a fantastic job planning our wedding with us and allowed us to fully enjoy the weekend without any stress at all. After postponing our wedding a year from the original date in 2020, thanks to all the hard work Shari and her team did, we got the wedding of our absolute dreams that was well worth the wait. We would highly recommend their services to any couples looking to plan a wedding in the Pittsburgh area.

Incredible Wedding Weekend - Museum Lab/Renaissance Hotel

I can't say enough about Shari and her team. We had hurdle after hurdle, and Shari jumped in and helped us make good decisions. Shari is immediately responsive, a quality I need with my busy schedule, and provides valuable information. She's willing to make suggestions to make the event better and after our daughter's wedding, I can confirm that she plans a perfect event. Shari is a wonderful planner and her years of experience gave her the background she needed to deal with our hurdles and to work in a relatively new space. I would not hesitate to recommend Shari and her team to anyone. She planned numerous weekend events for us and coordinated the transportation - our guests could not stop commenting on our beautiful and great wedding weekend and to each I said - it was because of our planner. Shari made our COVID wedding a success!

Shari helped us first with our original 250+ person New Years bash plan, and then create an entirely new vision for a 30 person COVID wedding instead. She was flexible and understanding, pivoting to adapt to the last minute changes and requests that are inherent with a COVID wedding. I was so grateful to have her guidance and support through the worst time for a bride to plan a wedding.

Shari was organized and made sure all of the boxes were checked. She managed multiple inputs from different people in order to ensure the best outcome for the wedding, and for what the bride and groom wanted. I was the type of person that wanted to participate in and be in the loop on all activities and communications during the planning, and Shari completely accommodated that. But she also took over decision-making, ensuring everything went well the week of the wedding when I started feeling decision-making/wedding exhaustion! She is wonderful at accommodating the needs of the couple. I trusted her completely with it, and the day turned out beautifully. Personally, she was a pleasure to spend time with during the planning activities. Her teammates joined us for the wedding weekend and were wonderful to have with us as well.

Best decision of the wedding planning

Shari was an amazing wedding planner. She has excellent ideas & suggestions. My daughter had a vision for her smaller COVID wedding & Shari & her team helped plan & execute it perfectly. As MOB, I had zero stress on the wedding day. What I really appreciated was the way Shari communicated with the vendors for us. That saved a lot of time and stress for the bride and me.

Shari is very personable and easy to get along with. On the wedding day, they got everything done but were invisible. They were everywhere getting all the details accomplished but you didn’t really notice them; they are that good. Best wishes to all future brides and grooms during this crazy time. My advice is to hire an excellent wedding planner like Shari Zatman to make your life easier and end up with a perfectly planned and executed gorgeous wedding & reception

Patient and Detailed Focused

Shari and her team were fantastic and I am not just saying that. My wife and I had 4 wedding dates over 2.5 years of planning (Baby and COVID derailed our plans) and Shari was calm and focused the entire time. We didn't get to plan our original vision with Shari due to COVID, but as we had to make last minute venue and occupancy changes, Shari was there every step of the way. She always made herself available and was always thinking 2 steps ahead.

Additionally Shari only works with the best vendors in the business. The details of our wedding were top notch, from the flowers, to invitations, to desserts. All were done by true professionals in which Shari made the introductions. Looking back on it that made a huge difference in the overall experience.

In closing, I highly recommend Shari and her team to plan any wedding/event. We will certainly use her again in the future.

Exceptional!

It is extremely impressive that Shari Zatman can make everything happen and happen on time on the wedding day! Our relationship with Shari developed over our daughter's long engagement and Shari ultimately orchestrated her wedding during the challenging times of Covid in 2020 on August 8th. Shari is a master of the organizational details. She helped us put on a spectacular event! She works really hard! We first heard of Shari from a happy mother of the bride. She said something like, "Shari did everything! We didn't have to worry about anything! We really were able to enjoy our wedding because of Shari!" This was said with the most compelling sense of calm, relief and happiness and we wanted that peace of mind!
Shari is able to do all the big picture stuff and all the little details. She makes sure all the elements come together. She presents style options through in-person meetings, on-site meetings (floral shops, linen shop, stationary stores, bakery shop) and phone meetings over a period of time. She makes sure that nothing important has been overlooked. Shari recommends, hires, deals with and confirms vendors. She keeps track of deposit due dates and nudges you when it's time to pay up. She helps with getting the legal documents in order. She times the flow. Shari is instrumental in booking hotel rooms and arranging transportation and getting all the printed stationary done on time. Shari has built a relationship with vendors that is very impressive. She introduced us to our extremely talented photographer and our extremely talented band and our very talented church musicians. She also introduced us to the very capable makeup-hair stylist team and videographer and stationary company. A month before the wedding when a decision was made to move the reception from our country club to our home she just said, "Think about it over the weekend," and on that Monday when we told her that we had decided to host the wedding at our home she stayed in high gear and started over redesigning the reception with numbers of guests changing from 150 people to 40 people. It was then that all the planning over almost 1 1/2 years was condensed into a month and we yet again saw her orchestrate new talent with a very talented exterior lighting crew and tent crew. When our home became a venue she was able to assess and to anticipate conditions and situations and to think about how spaces were to be functioning. She made multiple visits to our home to meet with all of the new and prior vendors and to work out details of the club that was doing the food. She kept us informed about who was doing what and when they would be doing it. She worked well with this winning wedding team! She assisted with the church rehearsal. On the wedding day Shari arrived with a crew that brought the wedding day schedule to life. She brought years of experience to the wedding day that helped to make things run smoothly.
We will never forget Shari Zatman. Shari Zatman is a gifted organizer, diplomat, time management expert and new friend. She planned a wonderful wedding weekend for us and we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Everything was thought out and executed to perfection. We couldn't be happier!!! We are still reveling in the enjoyment of our daughter's wonderful wedding weekend and as our daughter wrote, "Beyond special, quite possibly magical, and the most fun wedding day I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams!" Thank you Shari!!!

Simply the BEST!

My mom and I worked closely with Shari for two years planning a 150-person wedding at a country club, then decided 30 days before our date to move it to my parents’ home during the pandemic and have 40 people. This meant that Shari essentially planned two weddings for us and we benefited from her many, MANY skill sets.

One of the greatest parts about working with Shari is witnessing her ability to handle timing, scheduling, and logistics. Over the course of two years, she introduced us to vendors at the right time – when we were able to start making decisions and with enough time to book. She introduced us to some of the very best vendors, including Joey Kennedy and Studio E Band, both of which book out very far in advance. She handles most/all of the communication with all of the vendors, tells you when payments are due, and schedules calls with them to discuss details. As a bride, mother, etc., all you need to do is attend meetings to select items that you want for your wedding, communicate taste/style, and make the payments when reminded. You never have to follow up on a missed communication or confirm a vendor is available for a meeting or even the week of the wedding. Shari handles every last detail. She understands flow and timing so well, and this comes across when it is time to create the schedule for the wedding itself. Shari put together an excellent schedule and confirmed the timing and availability of every single vendor. Because the wedding ended up being at my parents’ home, there was a fair amount of set up with tents, lighting, and tables outdoors. Shari attended every meeting with the vendors at my parents’ home and oversaw the installation of each element. Her experience and expertise in setting up the outdoor components was immensely helpful – especially the tents. We felt at ease that Shari would take care of every detail and she did that and more. On the day of the wedding, everything was so seamless. I never even looked at a schedule – everything just worked like clockwork, and that was because Shari was working her magic behind the scenes – making sure the photographer kept family photos on track, communicating with the caterers, and staying on top of a million other details I am sure I never even knew about. The day was so perfectly run it didn’t even feel like we were on a schedule. It felt like everything happened naturally – and that is never the case when trying to manage 40 guests and many different vendors working together.

Shari is excellent at managing people. She is willing to have as many phone calls as you want to talk about anything. When we had trouble deciphering the tent proposal, she went through it line by line with us. We also changed our minds about stationery, flowers, and linens over the course of a few months. Then, we had to plan in 30 days for the wedding itself. Shari was never impatient and never even seemed annoyed about changes. She was understanding and empathetic. She attended every meeting and was only an email or quick phone call away.

Shari is extremely responsive and her attention to detail is unparalleled. Over the course of two years, she responded to every email within the day. She returned phone calls within a couple of hours. She follows up on every single detail that we mentioned, even in passing. A week before the wedding, we didn’t even know that Shari was on vacation because she still responded to every message and phone call. She never dropped the ball on communication or details once.

Finally, in addition to these qualities that make Shari extremely professional and easy to work with, Shari is a great person. She is kindhearted and wants the best for your event. She listens carefully and asks follow up questions. She’s genuinely interested in your life outside of event planning and we are fortunate to have her as a friend in our lives. Shari is someone you can depend on for anything.

Well worth everything !

Shari is absolutely amazing!

Shari did a phenomenal job helping me plan my wedding. I started off originally without a wedding planner and had gotten my vendors on my own, but became too overwhelmed with the little details needed and didn’t know how I really wanted the aesthetic/style of my wedding to look. Shari jumped right in, got all the information together and started being a tremendous help from the first meeting on. Shari helped me through every issue and always gave me great advice when I needed it. She was always on time and available whenever I needed her. Amazing Resource and Wedding Guide!

Shari was extremely professional and a valuable resource throughout our wedding planning process. When we first started planning, we were living outside of Pittsburgh and Shari helped us navigate all of the vendor options to pick the right fits. Once we moved to Pittsburgh a few months out from the wedding, Shari expertly helped us refine our vision (we would have been clueless without her!) and create what ultimately ended up as a perfect ceremony and a stunning reception. And on the day of the wedding, Shari and her team executed perfectly and were always nearby if anything was needed. If there were any hiccups that night, we didn't see or know about them, which is exactly how it should be. Shari was one step ahead throughout the whole process and helped create a special night. Many of our family and friends were from out of town and were absolutely blown away by the evening - it was unforgettable!

Shari is a take charge person, wastes no time in execution, keeps you on schedule, offers guidance and direction, when appropriate, all while fulfilling your vision. Shari has great vendor connections that are as highly functioning as she is. This was my third wedding as mother of the bride and was the lowest stress of them all. This was one of the best wedding decisions we made. First of all, even though we hired Linda, Shari offered to come to our floral consultation, which was very helpful and appreciated. Linda is very professional, calm, efficient, solutions oriented and a pleasure to be around. She did a wonderful job! I trusted her to do her job and she made my day, as the Mother of the Bride, so much more relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend Shari and LInda! Linda's intern was helpful also- we asked her to run some mundain errands, like getting a snack for the groom and forgotten items in the suites and she did so with a smile and quickly!

Linda was absolutely fabulous! My wedding day went very smoothly and everything was perfect. As the groom of the wedding I really valued Shari’s organization, professionalism, experience and ability to relieve the stresses that can come in planning a wedding. Shari was constantly involved in our wedding planning from day one making sure everything would be in line and ready for a truly unforgettable wedding weekend. After listening and understanding our visions for the event, she offered insights and suggestions based on her experiences. Shari was professional from beginning to end. More importantly however, she was caring and considerate of our needs and also our worries and concerns. Shari was wonderful. We met with two other wedding planners prior to Shari, but upon meeting her we just clicked. We also considered not having a wedding planner, but 100% could not have had the perfect day we had without her. We are actually sad the wedding is over because we won't get to see her! Her work speaks for itself, and with her design background she is extremely helpful when it comes to branding and themes and ensuring all elements look and go well together. It was not a necessarily easy wedding to plan as she was bringing two different families/cultures together, but Shari helped make sure that everyone was not only satisfied but happy. She considered our priorities and budget when recommending vendors, and all of the vendors she recommended (whether we went with them or not) were outstanding. She had worked with all of vendors before (whether she had or had not recommended them) and all had great things to say about working with her. It really does put you at ease knowing that she has everything covered! The last 2 weeks of the wedding, with all of the small remaining details - she not only anticipated these details but handled them without us mentioning anything. She was there the entirety of the pre-planning, planning and actual event and simply put was a joy to work with. She is also a lovely person which is a great bonus! If you're looking for a comprehensive planner with great taste who will alleviate any wedding day concerns/stressors, Shari is perfection.

I just can't put into words just how fabulous Shari was in the wedding planning and weddings of both my son and my daughter this past (2017) year! My son and daughter-in-law interviewed and selected Shari for their local June summer wedding and she was so great that I asked if she would help plan my daughter's destination NYE wedding in Chicago. I was so relieved and happy to continue a professional (and now personal) relationship with Shari. Shari's wedding planning skills are top-notch: she has a superior work ethic, organizational skills, years of experience and a charming personality that make all your meetings easy as well as productive. Shari has deep professional contacts with all the wedding vendors in the Pittsburgh area which makes for smooth planning sessions, but she also knocked it out of the park when we had to travel to Chicago to plan a wedding. She was vital in helping us to select our Chicago vendors and then set up our meetings with the bride traveling from San Francisco and the rest of us from Pittsburgh.
Everything was flawless and ran smoothly at both weddings and we had many many compliments on every aspect of both weddings. Additionally, I would be remiss if I did not extol the virtues of Shari's team, too. I primarily came in touch with her helpers on the days right before both weddings but I know they were hard at work behind the scenes, too. A great example: there is no way that we could have figured out how to bustle my daughter's complicated dress if not for Amy's (one of Shari's team members) expertise and patience. Although I was instructed by the dress shop how to bustle, by the day of, I had not one idea on how to do it.
IF you want to have the wedding of your dreams, like my now daughter-in-law and my daughter just had, then run out right now and hire Shari Zatman at Perfectly Planned by Shari. You will have not one regret.

Shari was an excellent wedding planner. She has a ton of connections in Pittsburgh which was great for selecting a venue and working with vendors. Shari is an absolute gem! My Mother, Kate, and Shari worked very closely to give Tom and I the wedding of our dreams. Shari is incredibly organized by setting up an online profile for you so that you both can add documents, timelines an share notes throughout the entire process. Honestly, I didn't even really need to use the online profile because I felt that Shari was so responsive and prompt in her communication that I always knew what was going on with each stage of planning. Being that I live in NYC but was having my wedding in Pittsburgh, Shari put me at ease that everything was running smoothly and on time even when I was hundreds of miles away.
Shari was able to help me get the best vendors in Pittsburgh and did a majority of the communication with them, which again but me at ease! I had a vision for my wedding but Shari went above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined! Her execution was spot on and her design expertise was perfect.
I would recommend Shari to any bride, whether you need a full on planner or just the week of as she will make sure that your wedding day is the best day of your life!
Also on a personal note, Shari has such a kind heart and really does care for her brides and their happiness. I know my Mother will miss having her weekly calls with Shari but I know they will be friends for life now!

I cannot say enough good things about Shari Zattman and the Perfectly Planned by Shari team. Half way into wedding planning, my mom and I realized that we were in way over our heads and Shari was recommended to us. From the very first meeting, we knew we had made the right decision in hiring her. Shari is a professional in every sense of the word. One of the best decisions my husband and I made during our wedding planning process was hiring Shari and her team. It is really hard to put into words how extremely grateful I am that we had her to plan our wedding. I had a specific vision of how I wanted everything to look and feel. It was because of Shari's attention to detail and eye for design, as well as her guidance, that it turned out as perfect of a day as it did.

Shari listened to everything I told her I wanted from the beginning and every vendor she selected that we worked with was fantastic and able to bring my vision to life. She was patient and present at every meeting, which only eased the process more. Even beyond the design of our wedding, Shari took all the stress out of everything else. We were constantly in touch via email and phone calls and she kept track of when payments were due, made calls and scheduled meetings for us, allowing my husband and me to really enjoy our wedding planning. I can't count how many times I thought how thankful I was to find her.

I cannot recommend Shari and her team enough. The day of my wedding I was calmer than I ever imagined I would be and that was because of them! We could not have done this without Shari and her team and my husband and I will always be thankful that they brought our dream wedding to life.

It is really difficult to put into words just how grateful and lucky we feel that we found Shari and that she was able to plan our wedding. Shari is amazing. She really made my dream wedding come to life. No question was too silly and no idea was shot down. She is so responsive and always got back to me so quickly. We had two years to plan and she did an amazing job of keeping us on schedule and getting the process started when we needed to for each piece. She set up vendor meetings based on my ideas and conversations with her and found me a florist, band, etc... that completely understood my vision. I am Samantha, a student from China. As for a bride, I always wanted a Western wedding ceremony rather that a traditional crowded Chinese one. At first, I thought I could handle all the wedding details by myself to save the money but then I figured out that mission impossible. I would have my wedding, my graduation project and final research paper at the same time! I would be an insane bride! So we started looking for wedding planners and Shari was the first one we contacted. Her professionalism, experienced attitude and thoughtful consideration really impressed us. After a few comparison with other wedding planners, we had Shari's assistant Andrea as our wedding planner.Andrea is the perfect one. She is nice, easy to communicate, thoughtful and very professional. I have no idea of how an American wedding goes like and she was so patient to explain all the details to me. She helped the most when we picking up all the vendors due to my budget. As my husband was working in Beijing, China by the time I was preparing the wedding, Andrea was the most helpful one to me. I can't thank her more for spending the last six months with me. Without her effort, I couldn't have such a beautiful wedding. I had a wedding prepare folder with 12 wedding vendors lists and she was always there when we had to meet with them. We almost spent every week together. I did a dual-language wedding ceremony and reception as our parents can't understand English. Andrea and her team coordinated that point with all the other vendors and we made it! For the wedding day, I just felt a little worried of the wedding party as we were not familiar with the American wedding. I knew Andrea would take care the rest of my wedding and make it perfect. I was so busy and anxious by the graduation ceremony on the morning and wedding on the evening. She helped all the other things as we planned and all of a sudden the dream came true.

Having had some time to reflect after our wedding, I realize how indispensable Shari really was. Being an out of town bride, the idea of planning a wedding some hours away was very stressful, and so I began the search for the perfect wedding planner. Our wedding was unique in that not only did we have to plan one ceremony but we actually had two! Shari was an absolute pleasure to work with while planning our wedding. Living in Philadelphia (Go Eagles) and planning a wedding in Pittsburgh would have been next to impossible without Shari. After helping us to create the feel of our wedding, Shari lined up the absolute best venues and vendors. She had our schedules packed every trip we made to Pittsburgh and ensured every trip was productive. She helped us ask the right questions and guided us through details we never knew existed. We hired Shari shortly after we got engaged to help us with planning our wedding. Shari presented as extremely professional, personable, and organized. We had several ideas that we wanted to incorporate into our wedding day and she helped make everything possible. She introduced us to wonderful vendors around Pittsburgh and was involved in every part of the planning. Shari was always available and prompt to respond to our questions. She helped coordinate appointments and helped us communicate our ideas to our vendors. The day of the wedding, Shari was absolutely amazing! I hired Shari for "day of" planning services. I had some hesitation at the beginning because it seemed like an expensive service, but in retrospect I see it was well worth the expense.

Shari met with me several times before the wedding, helping me with the parts of wedding planning I found most intimidating -- specifically, the "flow" of the day, knowing how long it takes to do everything, MAKING A SCHEDULE for the wedding and reception. She arranged for a rehearsal and was very patient and thorough in explaining what was going to happen.

She never tried to pressure me into a more formal or expensive event that I wanted. She listened to what I said and planned accordingly. She responded to emails and phone calls right away.

Then, on the actual day, she oversaw the ceremony and party. I felt confident and relaxed.

I'm glad I hired Shari for the event and would recommend her to others who are looking for a wedding planner.

It was truly a privilege for me to work with Shari as she helped to plan our daughter's wedding- Shari was with us right from the start, before the date had even been set, and helped in every aspect of the details and planning. It was a PERFECT day in every way, and something our family will remember fondly for the rest of our lives. Shari was an excellent wedding planner. We truly felt that we could enjoy our event without having to worry about a single detail because we knew Shari was behind the scenes. We were planning our wedding remotely. Thus our trips into town were crucial to meet venders. Shari ensured that we had several appointments lined up. Additionally, she was very willing to set up meetings with venders that we found via our own research. Shari was incredibly responsive both via email and phone. Again being remote planners, her computer system kept us on track and made meeting deadlines very easy.

Shari and her team did an amazing job! They made our day stress-free and made things run like clockwork. Her assistants who were onsite did an amazing job. Brittany and Linda did everything from arrange our fairly complex centerpieces the day of the wedding to help clean up and get everything loaded after the ceremony. Shari did a great job arranging and organizing things for us, which is tough because both my husband and myself have very hectic schedules. I would recommend her highly throughout the planning process to anyone looking for a highly organized planner who will get things done.

As the wedding guru of the family (think "27 Dresses") nearly every question in the planning process was thrown my way. Shari saved my sanity by taking care of so many details that would have otherwise fallen to me. She was present at the wedding, but not in the way; made sure things stayed on track, but wasn't pushy. Anything I asked her about had already been taken care of or was resolved so quickly that I forgot the question had ever come up. My family and I were able to enjoy the wedding rather than running around making sure things got done.

By the end of my sister's wedding my father, who was completely resistant to the idea of a wedding planner in the first place, said that in retrospect he would have hired Shari for the whole event rather than just the day of. Thanks for everything!

Shari Zatman of Perfectly Planned by Shari was the reason we had the wedding of our dreams! She is an excellent, creative, and hard working planner that navigated us through the stressful and complex world of planning a wedding. Her ability to recommend and work with the best vendors in the area (for the best value) is truly remarkable. Shari can translate an abstract theme or concept and make it a reality within a budget; she really has a sixth sense when it comes to events.
