Magical Winter Wedding
My daughter and son-in-law's wedding at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow this past January was nothing short of breathtaking. The venue itself was a stunning, romantic beach setting that exuded warmth and welcome. The decorations were elegantly simple, transforming the space into a magical winter wonderland. The bridal suite was the perfect haven for the wedding party to prepare and for the newlyweds to share a private moment after the ceremony. The cuisine was exceptional, with each dish expertly prepared and tailored to the couple's vision.
Moving on… we are forever grateful for Tarek and his exceptional staff, who treated us like family from day one while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Their outstanding communication, unwavering attentiveness, and kindness made us feel truly special. We cherish the memories and wish we had more reasons to celebrate with them. My daughter, who was initially hesitant about having a wedding, beamed with joy, saying 'Mom, I loved my wedding so much, I wish I could do it again!' -

Sunken Meadow 5/5 STARS!
Sunken Meadow was so amazing. For the bang for your buck, the food was TOP notch, and the staff was so professional and fun. Anthony the maitre D and Maureen the bridal attendant were the VIPS of the day. Tarek, the GM is also so knowledgable and helpful and put us in touch with all the best vendors. We literally did not have to worry about a thing! There is no way we could have afforded a similar wedding with this many people at almost any other venue of this size, on the BEACH no less! Could not recommend Sunken Meadow any more. -

Awesome wedding!
Even through a nor’easter we had the best experience at The Pavilion! Tarek, the sites manager was very helpful. He answered all of my questions with a smile and was very prompt and answering both emails and text messages. He talked us through everything from beginning to end and is very knowledgeable in what he does. Our Maitre’D was Anthony and he was incredible! He handled everything with professionalism, a huge smile and a great attitude! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about him. He truly made the day that much more fun. I wholeheartedly recommend the pavilion to anyone who wants to have an absolutely amazing time at an absolutely gorgeous venue.! -

Best Wedding Venue Ever!!!
We couldn't have chosen a better wedding with a better vibe than the Pavilion! All of our guests are still raving about how perfect the entire night went. The staff at the Pavilion go above and beyond and truly feel like your best friends on your wedding day. The vibe was so chill, happy, beachy, and carefree. I'd recommend it again and again to anyone. It felt like a destination wedding and we didn't have to leave Long Island! Tarek, Anthony, and Cici were just the best and easiest people to work with. Anthony called me 2 days before the wedding to make sure everything was in order and I felt I could put all my trust in him and the whole team. Just the best :) -

Best night of my life
This venue is absolutely breath taking and worth every penny you pay to make the big day as special as you can. My maître D was a woman named Cece and she was super sweet, accommodating, and respected everything I wanted for my big day. Anything I needed she made sure I got. Anthony was incredible and made everything go as smooth as possible. He told me where to be and when to be there by and he kept the night going. All and all this was the best night of my life and this experience far surpassed my expectations. Between the food, drinks and music, everything was on point the day of. I have no complaints about this venue and all staff members were extremely helpful. Would totally recommend this venue especially due to the pricing as well. Very budget friendly and affordable. What an amazing time I wish I could go back to.-

Seamless Planning, Incredible Staff, and Gorgeous Setting
From the moment my husband (Tim) and I saw the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, we knew it was the place for us. We actually canceled our other tours because nothing could compare. The full glass walls opening onto the boardwalk and beach completely captured the beauty of Long Island in summer—something so many other venues on the island just don’t showcase.
I worked with Tarek for most of our engagement, and I truly cannot thank him enough. He answered every single email (even late at night) quickly and thoroughly, and I honestly don’t think he ever said no to anything we asked. He made planning our wedding easy, seamless, and completely stress-free.
We had our ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour in the tent, and our reception inside. With about 105 guests, it was the perfect size—plenty of room to dance and still feel intimate.
Anthony, our Maitre D, was a total rock star. We met him at our tasting and again when we dropped off what felt like dozens of bins of décor—he didn’t bat an eye. On the wedding day, he did it all: from hanging florals in the tent to keeping my bridal party on track to fixing an issue with our shuttle bus (without me even knowing!). Because the shuttle ran late, our ceremony started 15 minutes behind schedule—Anthony made sure those 15 minutes were added back at the end of the night. When we came back the next day, all our décor was already packed up and waiting for us.
My bridal attendant, CiCi, was an absolute angel. I don’t think I ever finished a drink before she had a fresh one ready. She anticipated my needs before I even knew I had them, kept me calm when the shuttle was delayed, and had cocktail hour food waiting for us in the bridal suite so we could actually eat. She bustled my dress in seconds, handled everything with grace, and made sure a special surprise I planned for Tim (Sparky from the NY Islanders!) went off without a hitch.
We also had Jim as our security, though “personal bodyguard” feels more accurate. He literally said, “Where Jessica goes, I go,” and he meant it. During photos, he helped me across the sand, handed me water, and even held an umbrella to shade me. I thought he left after the ceremony, but my mom told me she saw him patrolling the Pavilion until our reception ended at 11 p.m.—which was such a comfort since the venue is on a public boardwalk.
And the food—amazing. Our bridal party had sandwich wraps before the first look, which they loved. For cocktail hour, we chose Southern BBQ, Pasta, Mulberry Street (Italian), and Shipwrecked Seafood (an upgrade, but worth it). The passed apps were just as delicious, and everyone raved. For dinner, we had burrata salad and a choice of filet, chicken with mozzarella, or stuffed sole. Not one complaint. We finished with cake, an ice cream bar, and late-night snacks, and everything was incredible (even the leftovers the next day!).
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this: our day was flawless because of the team at the Pavilion. My guests are still telling me it was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve ever been to, and I truly wish I could relive it all over again. Five stars aren’t enough for Tarek, Anthony, CiCi, Jim, and the entire Pavilion team—they gave us the wedding of our dreams.-

Perfect venue
This was the perfect venue for the wedding of our dreams. Relaxed, fun and beautiful. The staff was amazing throughout the whole planning process and wedding, especially Tarek, Anthony and CeeCee. The weather was miserable the day we got married but they did everything they could think of to ensure our guests were comfortable and we had as close to the experience we were hoping for. Everyone raved about the food (even a guest who is a trained chef). They sent us home with leftovers and everything was expertly packed up when we returned to pick up our decor. -

Dream Wedding
My wife and I got married at The Pavilion on July 19th of this year, and it was truly the most magical day of our lives. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The beach ceremony was absolutely breathtaking & our guests are still raving about the stunning views and romantic setting. The food was phenomenal, and had several guests say it was some of the best food they have had at a wedding.
From the very beginning, Tarek was incredible to work with. He was responsive, kind, and always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way. His calm and confident presence made the planning process feel easy and exciting.
Our maître d’, Anthony, was just incredible. He brought our vision to life flawlessly and made sure every detail, from the décor to the flow of the night, was executed perfectly. We felt so taken care of and at ease knowing he was overseeing everything. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Anthony.
The entire staff went above and beyond to make our day special. Our bridal attendant, Sabrina, was an absolute angel. She made sure we were fed, hydrated, and comfortable all day. Her attentiveness and warm energy was so nice through all the chaos of the wedding day.
We are beyond grateful to The Pavilion team for helping us create a day that was beautiful, seamless, and unforgettable. If you're considering this venue, do it. It was everything we dreamed of and more. -

Wedding on June 21st, 2025
After viewing the Pavilion, we knew it was the place for us! We wanted something with a beautiful outdoor option and a rustic feel. Furthermore, we wanted to be able to put our own spin on our wedding so it was even better when The Pavilion allowed us to DIY as much as we wanted. The Ballroom is great and we loved the outside tent area! Guests have the option to be comfortable inside and outside. General Manager, Tarek Mostafa is a complete gentleman and guides you through the whole process, making himself available to you whenever you have a question. Maitre d' Anthony was amazing and has an incredible personality! He is sure to make you and your guests smile and feel incredibly comfortable during the whole wedding. Bridal Attendant Sabrina was also fantastic and has a great personality. She made everything so wonderful in the bridal suite and was there the whole way through to help with any bridal needs. Lastly, The food is great! and we heard nothing but positive reviews from our guests about the food, the service , the ceremony and most importantly the amazing atmosphere! It was such a beautiful experience and we would recommend The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow for anyone who’s looking for a rustic beach vibe with great staff and amazing food! Wish we could do it all over again!-

Friendly, Adaptable, and Flexible!
Tarek guided us from our venue tour all the way to the wedding day. He, Ray, and the staff at the Pavilion were incredibly friendly and accomodating of all our requests. We got married June 2025 with nearly 200 guests. We were worried about the space, but the staff worked their magic and the whole day turned out amazing.
Not to mention, it began to thunderstorm 10 minutes before the beach ceremony, while we were waiting to walk down. Ray communicated everything very calmly and with great assurance. The staff quickly pivoted to the rain plan & the ceremony ended up being beautiful. I was so thankful to have a trusted team to rely on!
Also a huge shoutout to my bridal attendant Amber! She was so helpful & always within reach throughout the whole day.
Heads up for future brides!! The bridge we used for our first look had a lot of rough splintered wood, so the bottom of my wedding dress unfortunately got damaged and frayed before the ceremony even began : (
Would not recommend it for dresses with longer trains!
Some of the photo spots we used: sand dunes, rocks, sand, boardwalk.

Amazing Team!
I cannot give enough praises to The Lessings team at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. My husband and I fell in love with this venue from the moment we set our eyes on it. The location was very symbolic and significant to us, but additionally we both just instantly knew this was where we wanted to get married and have our wedding. It was a very calm, serene, and beautiful setting.
The venue is stunning. We chose to have a Black Tie Optional affair, but you can also easily make it more cocktail or casual if that's what you're going for. Tarek was the manager of the venue that we worked with and he was fantastic! Anytime I had a question, I received an answer very quickly. We were always told, we could practically do anything that we wanted and Tarek and the Lessings team would make it happen, which they did.
I have a lot of food allergies. They take this very seriously and from the food tasting to the wedding day, they were very attentive to my food allergies, and some of the other guests that also had allergies. Overall, all of the good was absolutely incredibly delicious as well.
The day of my wedding, I used the bridal suite to get ready with my girls. It's a great space and can hold a decent amount of people. My hair and makeup artist had a nice area to set up and do everyone's hair and makeup. We had eight people getting ready in the room and had enough room. The staff provided us with great breakfast food. Sabrina was our bridal attendant. She was absolutely phenomenal. She was very attentive to us while getting ready at the bridal suite. The zipper on my MIL's dress broke after she put her dress on, and Sabrina got right in there to help fix the situation. Sabrina was attentive to my husband and I throughout the entire day. It happened to rain briefly after our ceremony, Sabrina was there with an umbrella for me.
Our Maitre D was Dave. Our entire day went flawlessly. Dave kept everything in order from the moment it started to the very end. All of our guests say what an incredible time they had, and they all also mentioned how much they loved Dave! He provided some table entertainment during dinner and was there whenever we needed him.
Overall, hands down couldn’t have asked for a better team to host our wedding. The Lessings, management, and everyone else part of the team all played such an integral role and were nothing short of outstanding.

I can’t even begin to say enough amazing things about the pavilion.
I can’t even begin to say enough amazing things about the pavilion. We got married on 10/20/24 and had the best experience from start to finish. We initially worked with Emily who was so accommodating, laid everything out for us and was extremely flexible with both guest count and pricing since they were trying to book the last few days of the year at that time. She has since been promoted to a different position and we worked with Maureen for the remainder of our time until the wedding. Maureen was also amazing, helpful and squared away final details with us. The day of the wedding was so smooth. I had my bridal attendant, Ceecee, and my maitre’d, Anthony, who were both wonderful and made us feel taken care of. I didn’t stress about a single thing and because of this, we were actually able to live in the moment and enjoy our day to the fullest. We didn’t have much experience going to the bar to get drinks, but everyone raved about how great Ella was. Our guests loved the food, the fan favorite being the fillet mignon. The day of was 70 degrees, sunny and not too hot, not windy and the beach ceremony was picture perfect; we were so lucky. The day after we went to pick up our decor and spoke to the general manager, Tarek. We had a great conversation gleaming about our experience. We’ll recommend the pavilion over and over again!!-

Amazing wedding
I want to start by saying that this venue, food and staff were by far beyond my expectations. Even as a crazy bride 😊. Tarek, made me and my husband feel at ease with the whole entire wedding planning process. He held our hand every step of the way and made it really simple for us. I know a lot of reception managers will promise you the world and not deliver. Not Tarek, he made every single thing come true and then some. The day before I met with my Matre’d Anthony. It is unbelievable the passion he shows for these events. What an incredible person. He walked through the entire process and crazy little details I wanted with me and my husband. Somehow all of my day before nerves were calmed and I knew he had everything under control. Then the morning of I met my Bridal Attendant, Sabrina, all I have to say is “I love her!” Because of her help and attention to details, I did not have one bit of stress. She dealt with the photographer for me, the videographer, my family and all other vendors making sure everyone was where they needed to be. While also steaming my dress, water my flowers, getting me drinks and food and all of the other behind the scenes stuff she had on her plate. But never once showed that she was overwhelmed. All I have to say is all of the people mentioned above were phenomenal. Now to the venue, all I have to say is WOW. The view, the food, the staff, this place is definitely a gem. Do not judge this place based on their website. It does not do it justice at all. I can guarantee your guest will leave in awe of The Pavilion. Book it Now, you will not regret it!!!!-

Everything was perfect
I cannot say enough good things about The Pavilion Sunken Meadow. The staff's communication was unmatched. Tarek and the team answered every single one of our questions that came up over the planning months and were dedicated to helping us achieve our vision on the wedding day. I am especially grateful because we did things a little different than most weddings. Almost anything that I wanted, was met with "you got it". I could feel the level of intention and care that the team had for my special day.
We did our ceremony on the boardwalk, then cocktail hour under the tent, then we had our wedding and dance floor in the main room. After sitting down to order dinner, guests were entertained by the speeches and the groom serenaded the bride with 2 songs. Everyone loved this! Then, everyone ate dinner and then danced the night away! Truly, my pinterest board came to life. It was the most romantic candle-lit dinner. Everything felt professional. The food was exceptional. The bartenders were fast and the drinks were strong!
We planned our wedding from the West Coast and didn't tour the venue until a few days before the wedding! Lol! My mother in law, who is from long island, toured it with us over facetime. I appreciated that the venue package included food/drinks/ napkins/ wedding cake/ and even had packages for flowers and DJ if we wanted. Trust me, you have enough things to plan and worry about, you don't want to have to buy things like linens. They even have a white aisle and a few arches you can choose from for your ceremony. We felt that this made it a lot easier with planning. Everything ran smoothly and I accredit that to the amazing staff at Pavilion Sunken Meadow. My wedding was the peak of my life. I will be processing this night forever!!!
Last thing I'll say is that that I'm not a typical Long Island bride. I'm from the west coast and felt gravitated toward something that WASN'T a big classic ballroom with chandeliers. What I loved about this venue was the dunes and the trees and the big windows that allowed the sunset to pour in. I loved that it felt slightly rustic, without feeling like a barn. This was the perfect modern venue with relaxed vibes.
Finally I have to plug my STUNNING photographer: Courtney Hotis @courtneyhotisphoto-

Best night of my life!
My husband and I had our wedding at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow on 7/6/24 and we cannot say enough incredible things about this venue. From our initial tour of the venue to our wedding day, Tarek was there to address every question and concern and to make sure the planning process was going smoothly. We did the package (which included the DJ, photographer, florist, transportation, and cake) which made planning so much easier and we and were so happy with each and every vendor. On the actual wedding day, Sabrina (our bridal attendant) and Anthony (our maitre d') took care of us completely. Sabrina did everything from serving lunch in the bridal suite, to finding and setting up a speaker for getting ready music, to helping me with my (complicated) bustle, to getting my new-husband and I hors d'oeuvres from the cocktail our in the bridal suite immediately after the ceremony, to making sure we actually ate our dinners during the reception, and so so much more. Anthony made sure the entire event ran smoothly and was there for us with whatever we (and our families) needed. The venue itself was beyond beautiful. We absolutely loved our beachfront ceremony and the floor-to-ceiling windows that gave us incredible views of the Long Island Sound all night. Our guests loved being able to make use of the outdoor boardwalk area throughout the reception. The food from the cocktail hour and the main dinner were both so good (and we got compliments from our guests about how good the food was)! If you are looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue on Long Island, look no further than the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow!

Unique and beautiful beachside venue
I got married on 5/5/24 and had a really great experience working with the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow! It is such a beautiful and unique venue and I fell in love with it immediately. At many venues you hope to have your ceremony outdoors and the bad weather alternative looks nothing like what you envisioned, but at the Pavilion, the rain plan has the same beautiful view from inside. This worked out for me because it rained all day! The indoor ceremony felt intimate and romantic and we did not sacrifice the views of the beach. The staff transitioned the room over for the ceremony seamlessly while we had cocktail hour in the large tent. We worked with Emily as our coordinator and from day one, she was SO helpful and lovely to work with. I married a chef and Emily helped arrange a meeting for him with the venue chef in order to ensure everything was as he envisioned and they were very accommodating and receptive to his ideas. Sabrina was my bridal attendant on the day and she was so sweet and always ready with anything I could need. She kept our drinks full and checked in regularly. Like many brides, my bustle came undone while dancing and she immediately found me to help repair it. We had around 125 people and were very comfortable with the reception in the main room with ample dance floor space. Highly recommend!! -

Magical. A dream come true
Thank you @pavilionatsunkenmeadow for an absolutely perfect ceremony and reception. I walk by the venue every morning and always said to myself “I would love to get married here one day”. Not only did it happen but they made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Helen our maître d' went above and beyond for me. Tarek had the patience of a saint from the beginning lol and the entire staff really just blew me away. Highly recommend this place for your next event. -

Amazing venue
I had my wedding celebration here in March 2023. The pavilion is a low key venue with a beautiful view - exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately that day was cold and raining so I don’t have any pictures really showing off the beach. Another plus for me was that they offered a vendor package so I didn’t have to shop around for all my vendors. Emily was amazing to work with - always had answers to my questions and very responsive. I would highly recommend for someone looking for a smaller and more unique venue than you often find on Long Island! -

Amazing day!
I had just my ceremony at the Pavilion for my late December wedding. It was picture perfect! The team there went above and beyond to make our day special. We also lucked out and got a sunny 55 degree day in December. Thank you to everyone at Sunken Meadow for all of your efforts to make our day so perfect! Highly recommend this venue for any time of the year! -

Amazing wedding experience
We got married here on September 8th and it was perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. This is the only venue I know of in Long Island that offers an all-inclusive option (DJ, limos, cake, photographer, flowers – and of course cocktail hour and dinner). The weather cooperated, but I like to think that if it had not, the venue was so beautiful it wouldn’t have mattered. We had about 100 guests, with the DJ inside, and the size and layout was perfect. Even with another table or 2, I think we still could have fit comfortably. Nicole was the most amazing person when it came to planning the wedding. She answered SO MANY questions for me, met with me and my husband on numerous occasions, and really worked with us on everything, while being unbelievably pleasant throughout. She even came by on the day of the wedding to say help and wish us luck. Without her, I’m not sure how I could have planned a wedding! Tio was out matre di, and he was great as well. We met with them both to pick colors, etc. and they were very helpful. We first saw the venue in winter and it looked beautiful. I was a little concerned when we came back in the summer and saw the huge crowds of people right where our ceremony and pictures would be. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. The staff at the Pavilion were great about making sure everyone was out of the way for the ceremony and for the entire night. Everything went off without a hitch. The food was great and the venue looked beautiful. I’ve received many compliments on the venue as a whole, as well as the food, since the wedding. This seems to be something of a hidden gem in the Long Island wedding scene. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affordable, unique venue on Long Island, definitely check this place out. -

The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow
When my now Husband and I got engaged, we knew we wanted to be married on the beach and have a venue near the water and The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow check those boxes off. When we first visited the venue, we knew this was the one. When our previous Venue Coordinator left the venue we were apprehensive, but Nicole taking over was the best thing that could have happened. She answered emails right away and helped to create the beachy wedding of our dreams. We could not have asked for more. -

My husband and I hosted a 40th birthday party at the Pavilion for our twin children. It was such a lovely event at this beautiful location. Anthony, the manager with his welcoming ways and pleasing attitude was a pleasure to work with. The staff and maitre d Helen provided excellent service throughout the party.
It was truly a joyful day at this venue that offers such spectacular views of the glimmering water and striking sunset. The main room is spacious and food service set up in the tented area for cocktail hour and the main room buffet was executed well.
We received many compliments about this venue from our guests. You will love having your party or wedding at the Sunken Meadow Pavilion. -

Having our wedding at the pavilion was probably the best decision we could've made! We wanted a small, relaxed wedding by the beach and we got exactly what we wished for. Even the weather worked to our advantage and the sun came out at exactly the right time!
Steve was amazing helping us feel like our wedding was in good hands and he seriously was a Jack of all trades the day of, really taking on any role that was currently needed. Thank you so much!! And Helen was amazing, too. She helped coordinate everything the day of the wedding and we could totally relax and focus on our guests, knowing that all the details were in very capable hands. They were very flexible with all of our wishes and pulled everything off perfectly! Thank you all so much! We would definitely recommend the pavilion to anyone planning a fun beach wedding :) -

Great Wedding Experience!
We recently celebrated our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding reception at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
From start to finish, everything was beautifully organized. Anthony and Sabrina were outstanding—warm, professional, and incredibly attentive and took extra effort to make sure everything went smoothly. Sabrina helped to adjust my daughter's dress and arranged flowers just right during photos. The way she creatively arranged the table assignment cards in sand added to the beachside charm. All of the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The sunset was amazing!
Our guests are still raving about the wonderful time they had.
Thank you to the entire team for helping make this day so special. We highly recommend the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow!

Pavilion June Wedding
My husband and I got married in June and it was a perfect day! The venue is stunning with beautiful waterfront views—the perfect backdrop for pictures and our ceremony. Our guests loved the unique venue’s laidback vibe and natural charm and raved about the food! What really made our day perfect was the incredible staff. Our maitre de, Anthony and bridal attendant, Sabrina were phenomenal from start to finish to make sure we felt comfortable and the event went seamlessly. If you’re looking for a breathtaking stress free beach wedding with a top notch team who truly cares about your big day, we cannot recommend the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow enough! -

Beautiful venue with attentive, responsive and kind staff. Reasonably priced however a little disappointed that everyone's food took way too long to come out and came out room temperature. Pretzel time was a hit at the end if the night! -

okay experince
Vendor was okay. Multiple mistakes made on day of wedding. Maitre Ds not helpful- need to get new younger Maitre D's. Needed a lot of hand holding. Wish everyone was more organized. Also a ton of fly's in the bridal suit (like 100)- was very gross. -

Very Disappointed
I always wanted to get married on the beach, and Pavilion was my first choice venue. I should have known when I was messaging back and forth with Nicole the event coordinator and she was very aloof at their ability to host an intimate 60 person wedding, that this was going to be a no go. First, she scheduled my viewing appointment and when I got there no one was there and the doors were locked. When I tried contacting her, she didn't want to provide me with a direct number to call, since the number I was calling gave me only a recorded answering machine. Finally the General Manager called me. He apologized and invited us back or to reschedule, and I thought the day was saved. When we got there he was very short with us and rushing us through. Nicole had told him she had gone over packages with us and given us all these details that I had never received, and then he rushed us through the tour and didn't want to go through packages with us. We left with a very bad taste in our mouths. I just want to say that I completely understand if a venue has a minimum and does not want to host small weddings. But if that is the case, the venue should be open about that instead of giving us the run around and wasting our time. I was so disappointed with the lack of professionalism and organization, especially with the prices they expect you to pay. We decided to go with Sea Cliff Manor instead, a place which values making their couples feel welcomed and at home, NOT like they are wasting the venues time. -
