Particular Planner was Our Best Wedding Decision!
Oh my goodness - I can go on and on about Jodie and Particular Planner. Hiring her as the "day-of" coordinator was the best decision we made (and I'm recommending to my sisters to have her plan their whole event!) Jodie was there on the wedding day, making sure everything went smoothly. Beyond that, she worked with me months before the event to determine a timeline for my (rather tricky!) schedule. She confirmed all of my vendors, checked my planning work, and allowed me to be a fully-present bride on the wedding day, and let my mom be at the center of it all without having to worry about a thing. She really jumped in when our band had some demanding requests, being the liaison with the venue especially towards those final days when all the details pile up.
Further, Jodie helped me figure out my hair day-of when I was struggling to articulate what changes I liked. She made everything a solvable, manageable problem, and found the quiet time for private moments on the wedding morning for my family. She also ran the whole rehearsal for my rather large bridal party/groomsmen (making us all feel very prepared!) Any concern I had, she addressed it head-on and directly, and I truly loved how "particular" she was. She really cares about details, and is specific. I loved that, and the guests could tell we really thought about all details.
Jodie's a true professional, answers really quickly, is as calm as she is particular about making the couple happy. Most important, Jodie is a supportive hype woman on a really special day who made us feel like everything was covered and taken care of. I loved our wedding and am SO grateful for Jodie and her team.Particular Planner's reply:

Particular Planner is the BEST!
Jodie is the absolute BEST! I can't express how grateful I was to have her by my side throughout all of my planning and wedding day. The care she has for her clients is next level. Over the last year and 8 months, Jodie has dedicated countless hours and care into planning my dream wedding. I often forgot she was planning other weddings because of her constant communication and time working on my event. She is extremely organized - ensuring we met all vendor timelines, scheduled reoccurring meetings, and created design decks to help make the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. I truly do not know what I would have done without her guidance and expertise. On the day of the wedding, Jodie and her team handled everything from start to finish. My mom and I didn't have to worry about one thing, other than cherishing the day! I will never forget the moment I walked into my wedding tent for the first time - Jodie made my dream a reality. I cannot recommend Particular Planner enough - best decision I ever made!!! -

My wedding was two months ago and I am still trying to find the right words to describe my experience with Jodie/Particular Planner! We used the Event Management service, as I thought I just needed someone for the "day-of" logistics and support, but what I got out of working with Jodie was SO MUCH MORE. I felt like a very organized bride, but Jodie brought so much expertise, advice, and guidance to the planning process. She brought up things that I would have never even thought of, considered all of my concerns and questions, communicated directly with my vendors and set up any necessary meetings, and created timelines for everyone involved in the day. She even joined me at an in-person meeting with my florist. On the wedding day itself, Jodie was such a calming presence, and really handled everything -- she worked so well with our venue, photographer, and all our other vendors to ensure the day flowed seamlessly. She really pulled the day together from a big picture perspective, but also helped with all the little things that came up. Looking back, I don't know how I would have gotten through the planning process OR the day itself without her. Our parents and wedding party are still talking about how impressed they were with Jodie -- any time they brought something up to her that may need to get done, it had already been taken care of hours before -- she is just on top of it all! When Jodie is by your side on your wedding day, you get to truly enjoy the day and not worry about a thing! Working with her was easily one of the the best decisions we made for our wedding!Particular Planner's reply:

While I loved planning our wedding, I knew wedding management/coordination was needed so that I could enjoy the big day. Jodie stepped in to help us make our big day a success. She worked with all the vendors to ensure timely arrivals and helped triage any and all issues that came up. Things inevitably happen that you cannot control but Jodie was there to help me through. She might as well have been a member of the bridal party, helping me with everything from jewelry to sharing gifts, to finding family members. We simply could not have done it without Jodie. On top of it all, she really cares about growing, always looking for ways to do better and be better. She is kind and calm, always thinking of solutions and ways to keep things moving seamlessly. You'll be in great hands with her! And even if your venue comes with a day of coordinator, which mine did, you still need your own person. Jodie was our person! Jodie is the ultimate wedding planner, and we are so, so, so happy that she was by our side to help us throughout the wedding day! Jodie provides her service with ultimate professionalism. She is very organized, has wonderful people skills (so needed in this industry) and gets things done! One guest at our party commented, “Oh! That’s what an event planner is supposed to do.”
A few months before the wedding date, we were looking for someone to assist with the final details and logistics of the wedding day. We chose Particular Planner because of their Wedding Management Service package, which was so much more than day-of-coordination. Jodie hit the ground running months before the wedding date -- contacted and maintained communication with all our vendors, created spreadsheets to keep track of all the details, responded to all our emails and texts in a timely manner and made a detailed timeline to make the day run smoothly. She easily pivoted to take on last-minute needs like making welcome bags for our guests staying at hotels or guiding us when our outdoor ceremony needed to move indoors because of the rain.
I could go on… do yourself a favor, stop researching wedding planners, listen to the wonderful reviews and hire Jodie for your special day!

Hiring a planner is a great decision! Hiring Jodie and her team, an even better one! Planning a wedding is a lot of work and the deeper you get into it the more important is it to get advice from experts (that you trust!) so that you are using your time and money, wisely! Even with expecting her second child and being a mom and wife (oh and COVID!) Jodie still gave us the attention and focus we needed and we truly appreciate the time and effort (and sacrifice) it took to do that! Her team was great leading up to the wedding and really made us feel at ease during the wedding with handling all the elements and curve balls thrown their way!
Now save yourself some time now and just HIRE HER! -

Jodie is AMAZING! My husband and I got married at a winery in the Hudson Valley. While it's a GORGEOUS venue, everything needs to be brought in from an outside vendor and requires a lot of planning/communication that I didn't want to deal with. I really wanted someone there the day of to handle all logistics of every vendor who was going to look out for my best interest. Jodie did just that and beyond! We had several emails/calls all throughout the process and the day of went as smoothly as I could imagine. Jodie handled everything so perfectly and is your voice on your big day so you can truly enjoy it. I wasn't someone who is too savvy on details/timeline of weddings and Jodie had every little detail planned out so perfectly; she even comes up with things you won't even think of! The other thing that really stood out about Jodie was that she wasn't this large company where you are just a number in her book. She's very personal and I really liked the solo aspect of her business. Steve and I could not be happier we hired Jodie! BOOK HER NOW! :) -

Best Decision!!!
Hiring Jodie was the best decision! We originally hired Jodie to do partial wedding planning, but she was so amazingly helpful, that we soon switched to full wedding planning. She coordinated the many vendors involved in our outdoor/tented wedding with ease. I truly could not imagine my wedding without Jodie’s help.
Jodie is extremely organized. She would take meticulous notes during our calls and meetings with vendors. And kept us on track with her google docs and update calls. After hanging up from our update calls, my mom and I would call each other to discuss how much we loved Jodie! We instantly felt less stress after every conversation and confident in her organization and attention to every detail.
But what differentiates Jodie from other wedding planners is her calm demeanor and ability to execute on our vision. We spoke with a lot of wedding planners when making the decision of who to hire. A lot of other planners we spoke to were pushy on their own agendas for the vision of the wedding. Jodie fully embraced our vision and was able to make helpful suggestions on the many details. And when decisions got overwhelming, she was always a calming source of knowledge. When my mom, my fiancé or me disagreed on a decision, she was able to pragmatically help us come to a solution that made everyone happy. (I can’t stress how helpful this was!)
Jodie was able to handle the many personalities involved in wedding planning; vendors, family, bridal party with class and ease. Not only is Jodie unparalleled as a wedding planner, but she is also an amazing person who is fun to work with. We will truly miss our group texts with Jodie!

Jodie is amazing!!! I don't know what I would have done without her. My fiance and I were planning an outdoor, tented reception which meant A LOT of vendors (Tent company/ lighting/ production/ florist/ furniture rentals/ band/ transportation, etc). When I hired Jodie, my biggest concern was having someone on site at the venue the day of the wedding and coordinate the set up and all deliveries. Jodie did that and SO much more. Jodie handled all communication and every detail with the vendors (coordinating set up and delivery) and was my lifesaver throughout wedding planning answering any and all questions and keeping me calm during peak stress! She attended vendor meetings with me and was there for venue walk-throughs - I seriously don't know what I would have done without her being there. As a bride, you are emotional with every decision, and having a sounding board and someone to bounce ideas off of is so important and valuable. Also need to mention the incredibly detailed Day-of timeline and several other shared Google Docs she created throughout the process... kept me + everyone else SO organized.

My husband and I got married in early August. It was the best day of both of our lives and none of it would have been possible without Jodie @ Particular Planner.
We were planning our wedding remotely, which we were initially nervous about, but once Jodie came into the picture, things were easier than we could've imagined. She met with our vendors, Facetimed us while she toured our venue (which we booked sight "unseen"!) and thought of every little detail before anyone else.
On the day-of, she effortlessly wrangled all of our family and friends for photos, made sure things were set up correctly, and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.
My husband and I can't thank Jodie enough! You will not regret working with Jodie for your wedding!

First off, I am probably one of the most organized and type-A people out there! When we initially set our wedding date and locked in all our vendors, I honestly thought I was going to be able to handle and manage it all. Six months into planning I realized I was wrong and was going to need some assistance for the day-of (after all - I wanted it to be the ONE DAY people did not go to me for questions! :) ). When I first spoke with Jodie, I instantly connected with her and realized she was the right person for my (now) husband and me. She instantly jumped into all aspects of planning and went above and beyond. Her willingness to roll up her sleeves and get into the details, her ability to juggle personalities (us, in-laws, our vendors), and her thoughtfulness and kindness was more than we could have ever expected. Booking her was one of the BEST decisions we made and honestly - look no further than Jodie and Particular Planner! -

I can't rave about Jodie enough! Her attention to every detail is amazing. She came up with our day-of timeline, coordinated everything with each of my vendors and helped us stick to the timeline on our wedding day. The day goes by fast enough as it is, it was so nice not to have to stress about what we needed to be doing and when. Jodie made sure all of my decor was set up to my liking and made sure that all of my items made it into a family members' car. She was on top of everything! Truly a pleasure to work with Jodie! -
Tara Sent on 04/14/2018When my husband and I began planning our wedding we never imagined working with a wedding planner. We are both professional project managers and thought, how hard could this be? Little did we know, the decision to work with Jodie was by far the BEST decision we made throughout the planning process. Jodie used her years of professional event planning and personal experience with her own wedding to ease the process for us and bring a new perspective to the decisions we had to make. Jodie was incredibly helpful working and negotiating with all of our vendors. She thought of things that we never would have thought to ask ourselves and always had our best interest at heart.
The week of our wedding there was a major snow storm that brought on about a foot of snow. Our ceremony was to be in a tent with clear walls outside on a farm field. Jodie manned the entire tent rental installation as if it was her own tent, her own farm, and her own wedding. Extremely PROACTIVE! She worked with Parkins Tent Rentals and our venue, Lauxmont Farms, to have all snow removed so the ground could be ready for the tent installation and to make sure our guests would not be trekking through mud. There was no need to worry about the weather with Jodie on our team.
Jodie's attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness greatly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was a destination with many DIY elements and moving parts. Everything was a la carte. We had over thirteen vendors that required coordination the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, Jodie completely wrapped herself around the timeline, vendor roles, and our expectations to make our vision a reality. There was not one moment that prevented us from enjoying every minute of our special day with Jodie on board.
Our dreams came true and we just cannot imagine our special day being as smooth and painless as it was without Jodie on our team. -
