Perfect Wedding Day!

Jerry and his crew made our wedding day incredible! We did their Ultimate Fantasy Wedding Package, so we only had to pay one bill and that covered the venue, all food, DJ, Photographer, decorations, photo booth, open bar, and everything else! The whole thing came out to roughly 11k.

They also helped run the whole day! They got the guests seated, kept everything on schedule, and ensured that my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything. When our flowergirl got stage-fright right before walking down the aisle, Jerry swooped in to save the day and helped her find her mom. We initially didn't plan to do a grand entrance into the reception, but Jerry and the DJ (Megan from Music that Moves) made one happen last-minute so our flower girl could have a second shot at throwing her petals. You're not just getting a venue at Parkway, you're getting a whole team who will make your event run smoothly. If we ever do a vow renewal or anniversary party, we will be back!

Went to my niece’s wedding and was very impressed!

My niece had her wedding at Parkway Banquets and I was very impressed with every aspect of the day. Beautiful decorations on the chairs and tables. Impressive view of the lake and sky. Delicious food and friendly and welcoming and helpful staff from Cathy that helped with planning that beautiful day to Jerry that was making sure everyone was having the best experience! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special event!

Night Of Our Lives

Don't walk, RUN to Parkway!! Jerry and his team made our wedding more magical than I could have even imagined possible. I could cry just thinking about it. I was completely neurotic and NERVOUS AF going into our big day. Jerry, Cathy, and their team made SURE everything was effortless (on our end) and flawless! Cathy was like a second mom to me- calming, supportive, loving, and caring the entire time leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of. I truly couldn't say enough good things about these people and the whole staff and venue! I am floored. Our wedding was last weekend, but I will cherish Parkway for these memories for the rest of my life. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH for giving us our dream wedding!!! Love y'all always! 🖤✨👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️💍

Awesome!!!!

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful and super low maintenance! Jerry and his team were able to make a perfect celebration for us, without us doing a ton of work (for a wedding). The price was by far the best around too! We did a Friday ceremony with the Ultimate Couples Fantasy Wedding Package. We chose Tammy and Dan as Jerry's for our Photographer and DJ, and would highly recommend both (both were part of Jerry's recommended vendors through the our package)! Parkway by the Lake was also fantastic about our group's food allergies, and any other accommodations that were needed. If you're looking to have a beautiful wedding by the lake this is definitely a place you need to check out!

They Go Above and Beyond

Working with Jerry at Parkway Banquets was the best decision we made on planning for our wedding. No hidden fees, no surprises. Jerry and Kathy were AMAZING to work with. They truly care about you and want you to have the most amazing wedding at a cost that meets your specific needs/budget. The food was delicious, our guests raved about it! The photo both is also a must, it was so fun and we got an album with all the photos from the night! I also had my bridal shower her which was also absolutely perfect. If you want a place that will literally help you through everything, this is it. It’s a one stop shop for everything!

The most beautiful day of my life

Parkway Banquets in Ingleside IL was absolutely amazing! They took care of the food and the decorations and even most of the timing when it came to the big moments! The decorations were absolutely beautiful and the photo ops are amazing dont even get me started! They were perfect with handling our vision for the wedding and they literally brought everything to life. Jerry was wonderful and upfront with all of the charges and was a joy to talk to whenever we met up. But let me tell you about their secret (not so secret) weapon named Cathy. She was amazing and helped me plan my vision and was very attentive! She handled basically everything that was ever needed with decorations and she was so so so sweet! I love her truely shes the best! I highly recommend having a wedding here if your visions include a lake cause the sunset was literally like a chef kiss. We had about 50 people show up they accommodated for 66 and there was PLENTY of space for larger gatherings. I serious think ima plan for a babyshower here! I seriously could not have done anything without them! Also Olivia your decorating skills are amazing and everything was so so beautiful! Extremely affordable as well! I recommend this venue so so hard and all my family had an amazing time and said it was the most beautiful wedding they have every been to!

Amazing experience!

First words are WOW THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My husband and I got married in October 2021 at Parkway Salon (sister venue) and we had such an amazing experience! Not only did we get a complimentary room rental for our wedding shower for booking our wedding with them, the centerpieces for the wedding were included, was not charged for up lighting, and cake was included! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, everything went smoothly. We couldn’t have dreamed of anything better. All food came out in a timely manner. Vendors recommended were great! The staff was beyond excellent, friendly, responsive and wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us. Jerry, Cathy and Olivia are amazing! I had so many questions and each one was answered. The room was absolutely beautiful. The food was the best wedding food I’ve ever had and loved the buffet. We had numerous guests tell us the same. I could go on and on, but if you want a beautiful venue with amazing staff and reasonably priced packages, you cannot beat this. We couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! Thank you to all the staff, you guys are the best!!😊

Best venue!

I was so happy to have had our ceremony and reception at parkway. Jerry and his team were amazing to work with! I had numerous questions, and they answered all of them very quickly and even added suggestions. We even had some last minute seating changes, and those got done with no issue. You can’t beat the value and location of this venue. Also, the professionalism, friendliness, and experience of all staff. The food was delicious, and their list of recommended vendors could not have been better. All of our vendors were recommended by Jerry, and we were so happy! My parents renewed their vows at this very location 20 years ago, and I was so happy to have had such an amazing experience at my very own wedding. I cannot recommend this location or this team enough!

The view, the food, the staff, all amazing!!!

Amazing value for the money. We had such an amazing wedding reception. It was absolutely one stop shop. It was wonderful to have everything included in the price. There was so much food and all of it was amazing!!! Jerry and his staff took care of everything so that we could just sit back and enjoy the wedding. I just can't say enough about it. If you are thinking about having your wedding here, stop thinking about it and DO IT!!!!

Amazing!

I can not get over how grateful I am for choosing Parkway as our wedding venue. Cathy & Jerry have been nothing but absolutely amazing through all of this. The past 7 months with the virus going on no one really knew what was going to happen. Jerry, Cathy and the parkway staff made sure our wedding was absolutely beautiful and made sure our family and friends were safe through the ceremony and reception. The food was amazing! Cathy helped us pick out menu options, color schemes and just everything. She helped with ideas and ways to make things better. The wedding looked beyond beautiful. I can not thank you guys enough for being so helpful through all of this. We truly appreciate everything you guys have done for us. Making this the wedding we will never forget. Thank you!

Perfect day

We wouldn't have changed a thing! The day was perfect. The food was delicious andany people complimented on it. The decorations were beautiful and we didn't have to buy a thing. Our guests even commented on how excellent the bartender, Michelle, was. The price was extremely reasonable.

Amazing Experience and Wonderful People

My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. Everything down to the finest detail was taken care of for us by Jerry and the amazing staff at Parkway. You don't have to lift a finger except to pick out what you want to eat (which is a ton of food) and your table décor. They do all the rest, Even Clean UP!! You will not be disappointed with the end result.

They will make your day perfect!

Jerry from Parkway knows his stuff and every recommendation from him was 5 stars! The place is gorgeous with loads of room. They are wedding experts and you will be able to breathe easy the day of because they truly know what they are doing! They helped set up and gave us plenty of time to do so. They helped us through the day-of timeline and it went just as they said. We were married there a year ago and people will still not stop talking about how fantastic the food was. Pricing was VERY fair and we will recommend them to everyone we know with weddings to come! Thank you Parkway Salon for making our day so special!

Incredible!!!

What an amazing venue and an amazing staff! We had our wedding at parkway by the lake last Saturday and everything was perfect. Jerry and his staff are so professional and extremely helpful. They set everything up for the wedding including all your additional decorations. They make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Even when I had a few minor hiccups, Cathy made sure that they were resolved quickly and without me or my wife having to worry about them. The food was equally as amazing. I’ve never heard so many compliments on a wedding venues food. My guests couldn’t stop commenting on it. After the wedding they made sure that all the left over food was packaged up and sent home with us! We had an amazing wedding and I would recommend Parkway Banquets to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding!

Best wedding venue

Wish I could rate parkway more than 5stars! Parkway was extremely reasonably priced with so much being included from the DJ, photographer, photo booth, centerpieces, chair covers/sashes, cake, having the ceremony there, Dessert table, chocolate fountain, and hor d’oeuvres etc. Jerry, Michelle, and Cathy were so wonderful they made me feel so special and comfortable and Michelle helped me calm my nerves. The also made all my guests feel so welcome and special. They made the whole process so easy. Everything was set up including the extra touch stuff (guest book, pictures, wedding favors) that we were able to drop off the night before and it all looked so beautiful. The food was super delicious and we did buffet style and had so many options of food. The service was amazing. The view of the lake outside was awesome. Also may sound weird but, don't know why I notice at other venues they all have old fashioned ugly carpets and parkway has nice plain carpets I like so much better and looks nicer. My guests are still talking about how perfect and wonderful everything was and my wedding was on September 1st. It’s obvious that they take a lot of pride in what they do at Parkway and they let you really decide on how you want things so it’s truly your day. It was such a simple stress free process. I can go on forever. I highly recommend Parkway Banquets.

Highly recommend

Our wedding was Friday September 6th 2019. Jerry, Cathy, Michelle and the crew were wonderful to work with. Everything looked beautiful. We didn’t have to worry about decor, they have a storage closet full of centerpieces. So much food and we got to take the leftovers home. Thankyou for helping us host our friends and family. I doubt you can find another venue that provides everything for a great price and treats you like family!

Stress free wedding planning!!!

From beginning to end, Jerry and the staff at Parkway were absolutely amazing! They are a one stop shop for weddings and I couldn't be happier with the result! My husband and I had our wedding on July 27th and it was perfect. Everything was taken care of for us. We could've just gotten dressed and shown up! That is how much Jerry will do for you! The food was absolutely to die for! We opted for the buffet and the left overs we got to take home were insane!!! Our package included everything and we didn't have to worry about paying this vendor and that vendor. Jerry took care of it all. Cathy replied to us very quickly through Facebook and via text whenever we had a question. Jerry was always flexible when it came to meeting with us (we live about an hour and 20 minutes from the venue). Michelle.... oh how amazing she was. She helped calm down the bride (me) and made sure my husband and I were taken care of all night. I couldn't have done a better job with the wedding if I had done it by myself. This team is amazing to work with and I will recommend them to everyone and anyone!

Fantastic Venue!

I had my wedding at Parkway last week. Everything was INCREDIBLE! We had a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding. The whole room looked so elegant and amazing. The food was fantastic, and there was more than enough for everyone to have seconds. The music was great and the venue simply looked amazing. Jerry, Cathy, and Michelle made sure everything looking awesome and make the night go 100% smooth. I would recommend this location for any bride.

Wedding of my dreams

There aren't enough words in the world to explain how awesome Parkway Banquets is. We met Jerry after seeing a handful of halls and feeling stressed. It is hard now a days to find a hall for a decent price with everything you need included without feel ripped off. We loved his honesty and realness he brought to the table. He had the bells and whistle without charging a fortune. He made the process of finding a banquet all very calming. He works very hard to making sure you get what you want and really makes you feel like you matter.
I am a very OCD gal and Jerry did his best to make me calm throughout the whole process. He gave us the opportunity to get updates on how the construction was coming along and after months of waiting it turned out to be beautiful. The Salon is the perfect place for a big wedding.
On the day of our wedding, Jerry and his team were outstanding. Stephanie and Sondra were my life savers and helped me with the last minute things I needed done. They made sure that everything I wanted and needed were taken care of. The decorations were amazing, the ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious, and reception was so much more. If you are looking for an amazing hall that doesn't charge you a fee for cake cutting, champagne toast, with amazing food and the best time of your life you have found your place. Parkway Banquets is the best place for a wedding!

Fairytale reception because they really care

Jerry and his staff are the epitome of professionalism! We worried about nothing because they made sure we had no cause to. Everything from the ceremony through to the sweets table was outstanding. It was truly fairytale like with the beautifully decorated to the views of the serene lake.
We used them 13 years ago for our anniversary party and knew we could trust and rely on Parkway to make it perfect and they did!

As mother of the bride, I can say the staff of Parkway made planning this wedding a breeze. The choices were outstanding for decorations, photography, music and food. We live out of the area and had no difficulty with getting answers to our questions. We felt right at home in this beautiful venue. Parkway staff made every effort to make sure all our needs were met and we were satisfied. The whole event went off with out a single hitch. Kuddos to the whole staff. I would recommend Parkway for any event and not hesitate to return when given the chance.

All our guests enjoyed the venue and continually mentioned how good the food and service was. Very accommodating to food allergies. Most of all us the bride and groom loved every minute and didn't have to worry about anything except having fun!

It's every bride's dream to have her wedding day go by perfectly. Well, Jerry, Cathy, Michelle and the entire staff at Parkway made this possible for me and my now husband, Brian. Jerry is totally experienced to deal with everything that came our way from helping our officiant find his place, to making sure everyone knew their place at the rehearsal and ceremony. We're SO glad we chose Parkway. This was my perfect wedding, with such a beautiful venue on the lake. Plus, it wasn't stupid expensive. There's a package for every budget and we found out that worked with ours, with no hidden fees or surprises. We are recommending this venue to all our newly engaged friends. Love this place, you cannot go wrong with Parkway.

All in all this is the best venue in our area! We were married on 6/15/18. Their packages really allow for a smooth and easy wedding planning process. They make the research and meetings a breeze! Jerry is definitely a very busy guy, but always makes the time to speak with you, get things done, and questions answered. Cathy and the bartender (Michelle I think is her name, and also way more than just a bartender) were amazing to work with! They all help put your nerves/thoughts/concerns at ease. Overall a HUGE thumbs up and my husband and I highly recommend Parkway!

Jerry, Michelle, Cathy and Parkway are the epitome of what customer service is truly supposed to be! They made myself, my groom, our families and friends feel like an extension of their family from the beginning of the process until the end of a fun celebration! We recently had an event at Parkway and I have to say in this day and age it is sometimes hard to find people that just do the right thing for no other reason than because they know it is the right thing to do. Jerry the owner is just that guy! I am talking about the things that you wouldn't negotiate in a contract or think to ask about....that is the stuff that he makes sure is right for you and your special day. It's the feeling that you matter and that he just wants you to be happy...Stand up classy guy!

My (now) husband and I had our wedding at Parkway on 11/18! We had the best time! Everything was taken care of for us! We did not have to worry about a thing! The food was beyond amazing (apps, dinner, sweet table, and late night snack) and the decorations were beautiful! Jerry and Kathy were BEYOND helpful and I knew I could count on them!

They also have a list of preferred vendors...and that is the way to go!

We had a day that we will always remember! I highly recommend Parkway by the Lake Banquet Hall!

We held our event at Parkway Banquets on October 7, 2017. The banquet hall is on a lake. The room and the view were so beautiful! The meal was delicious and Jerry Ming and the servers were so amazingly helpful and accommodating. Everything was perfect!!! I’m still getting compliments on it!

We hosted our wedding at Parkway in 06/2015. It was absolutely perfect. Every step of the way, Jerry held our hand, pushed us to get what we wanted, and walked us through our day of flawlessly.
From the first time meeting Jerry and taking a tour of Parkway, we were in love. We loved the view of the lake, the outdoor option, and that the venue literally includes EVERYTHING you need. It was by far the most reasonably priced venue for our budget.
When we chose to sign a contract with Jerry, he was surprisingly open to negotiating terms, and getting us the best bang for our buck, and all the amenities that we needed. He is thorough, detail oriented, and focused on helping couples get what they want. he was complimentary and nice the whole process. Even when we came up for his bridal show (obviously he was VERY busy) he took the time out to talk to my now husband and I and our parents about the big day! You cannot get better customer service than that.
I communicated with Jerry about the final details of the week before the wedding. It was in his hands, and I fully trusted him and his staff to create my dream venue. When I walked into the venue the day before the wedding for the rehearsal, I cried (I am teary eyed thinking of it!). His staff did an amazing job setting the tables, making the arch for our ceremony, the centerpieces and chair set up was perfect.
The day of could not have gone better. Jerry was an amazing coordinator throughout the entire day. He was making sure we stayed on schedule, that his staff was prepared for any/all mishaps, and he spoke some of the kindest words to our guests. Despite a mishap with our DJ (which was completely our DJ's fault), Jerry and his staff made our day truly special. We hadn't even seen the surrounding area with foliage until the day of the wedding, and it was beautiful!
I cannot say it enough, this place was organized, wonderful, efficient, communicative, detail

Upon beginning our search for a reception venue, my Wife and I wanted a place that was scenic, welcoming, spacious, and affordable. Luckily for us, we went for a visit to "Parkway by the Lake" in Ingleside, Illinois.

We met with Jerry, who's the owner of the establishment. Right off the bat, he made us feel welcome and special. He worked with us and made sure we were 100% happy and comfortable with each decision we had to make.

From the first few minutes of being there, it was clear that this WAS the place my Wife and I wanted our reception at.

Our choice was a no-brainer, really.

Jerry and his staff put in 110% effort on our wedding/reception night this past August, and helped make our special day that much more fun and memorable.

If anyone reading this is ever thinking about using "Parkway by the Lake" for anything, especially a wedding reception, I say STOP thinking and go with this fine place. You won't regret it.

Jerry and his staff are top notch, professional, fun, and nice people.

I'll forever be thankful to "Parkway" and to Jerry for all he did for my Wife and I.

Jerry and the staff at Parkway Banquets were a blessing to us for our big day!! We looked at many venues and were very frustrated, when we came across Parkway's information on The Knot. It seemed like a good fit, and very much in line with what we were seeking-a one-stop location for the ceremony and reception, catering and decorations included, plus some scenic places for photos. After meeting with Jerry, we had no doubt this was the place! He gave us many options for the room set up, menus, decorations, etc. He was straightforward without being pushy, made suggestions without detracting us from our vision of our wedding day. The organization and support of Jerry, Michelle, Cathy and the staff were invaluable to us. They were supportive, encouraging, helpful and overall wonderful. I do not have enough GOOD things to say about Jerry and Parkway Banquets! He made the whole experience of planning our wedding so easy and with such little stress. My husband and I are very busy and had just 7 months to plan our wedding. Jerry provided excellent Bridal shows with all aspects of the wedding needs at our disposal to review and decide upon. The packages that he provided were cost effective and full of options and choices. He was ALWAYS available to answer our questions and provide any kind of insight we needed to make our decision making smooth and right and well, perfect! Simply one of the BEST days of our lives and so pleased that we got to spend it with Jerry and his crew! If we had to do it again we would definitely use Parkway!

Our wedding will never be forgotten by friends or family because of Parkway Banquets. Besides the fact that they made every step of planning extremely easy and convenient, all of our guests raved about the food! My husband and I lived an hour from the venue, but Jerry always made communication open and simple. I still can not believe all the amazing things we had/did at our wedding for such a great cost! I now recommend Parkway to all of my friends who are recently engaged.

I cannot say enough about how perfect my wedding day was because of Jerry, the staff at Parkway, and Jerry's recommended vendors. I was a VERY organized and picky bride, but Jerry didn't let that phase him. He gave me 150% of what I asked for (extra, high end food at the buffet? Yes sir!)

Every single one of my guests made a point to tell me that it was the best and most fun wedding they have ever attended! Thank you Jerry!

We can't say enough positive things about our experience with Parkway Banquets. It is a very stressful time when you are planning a wedding and the Parkway made everything wonderful for all of us. Jerry handled every detail with such proffesionalism and care. We were able to enjoy yhe wedding to the fullest extent and had no worries what so ever. All the guests raved about the food and the service they recieved. There was no waiting for drinks, food or dancing. If you want a wedding planner, go to the Parkway, they do it all...in style!!

This could not have been better. Jerry the owner did such an awesome job making our night special. He and the entire staff were very accommodating to everything and very professional.

The venue is awesome over looking a semi-private lake (very little boating traffic). This made for some great pictures especially as the sun set over the lake. There is an attached tent accessed through double doors which he offered us at no charge to have our wedding ceremony in if needed at the last minute in-case our plans for a backyard ceremony were spoiled by the weather. Inside the bar, seating, bathrooms, and bridal room are all wonderful. And the dance floor was perfect size even with an 8 piece band. They have lots of center piece options for the tables and up lighting surrounding the room with colors to choose from to set the tone for your event.

The food... OMG. We had sooo many compliments on the food. We did buffet style which I was a little skeptical about at first but it was definitely the right choice. The prime rib roast was unbelievable and Jerry (the owner) was right there at the end of the buffet slicing it. Nice big slices too.

They offer various packages to pick from. All packages included a wedding cake that we ordered from a local bakery called Touch of Sweets and again the owner there was great to work with. We also had the photo booth which is operated by an outside vendor and it was so much fun for our guests.

Jerry is definitely doing things right, working with the right outside vendors to make Parkway the best venue for a wedding. We cannot say enough positive things about it. Thank You Jerry!!!!

I loved this wedding venue! Jerry is so knowledgeable and helpful during the entire wedding process. Up until the week before my wedding I had co-workers and family members calling me "the calmest bride they've ever seen." Why? Because I had nothing to worry about! Parkway provided the linens, the centerpieces, the food, and he works with so many DJs, photographers, and hotels that finding everything I needed for my wedding was a breeze!
At our wedding we had over 200 people and we paid for our wedding what my friends have paid for only having 100 guests or less at other venues. Plus, every guest raved about the food (which is delicious), the dessert table (gorgeous), the open bar (the bartenders were amazing) and the overall atmosphere of the place!
Jerry and his staff are so great at what they do they can adjust really quickly and easily to any situation. I had accidentally told Jerry that our guests would be arriving a half hour later than what I had put on the invitation. Not an issue...when our guests starting arriving a half our early the place was set up, people were ready, and Jerry and his staff welcomed them with open arms!
Finally, Parkway is located right along Long Lake so outside pictures are incredible! I just received my prints the other day and Jerry has a beautiful rock setting right in front of the lake. It makes for some very memorable moments.
I would recommend Parkway to any bride I meet. My day was amazing not just because it was my wedding, but because I was 100% confident in Jerry and his staff to provide a great experience for me, my husband, and our guests.

I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I really put all of my trust in Jerry and he blew away all of my expectations!
First of all, he has an amazing memory. I would call him up and he would remember exactly who I was, even though I know he has at least two weddings every week. He was very accommodating throughout the whole wedding process. He even recommended other vendors (especially our amazing DJ!)
During the rehearsal, he took control and helped organize our large bridal party and my aunt who was officiating her first wedding. He made me feel very confident for the next day.
On the day of the wedding, me and the bridesmaids got there SUPER early to get ready in the bridal room. Jerry was very accommodating, and all of the tables and decorations were set up before we even got there (and I know he had a wedding the night before).
Before the ceremony, the bartender (AKA the bride whisperer) came into my dressing room to calm me down and talk me through the whole process. She even talked to my dad and myself to calm our nerves right before walking down the aisle. She was AMAZING and I am so thankful for her! She even took care of the groom and I the whole night. She kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok.
During the ceremony, one of our bridesmaids daughters was screaming in the front row, so Jerry swooped up and took her to one of the staff members to play with. It was amazing and completely unexpected. He organized the whole thing and talked us through the whole process.
We had some chaos with our photographer, and Jerry helped manage her and help to make things run a little smoother.
It was very obvious that Jerry is a pro at this! He even had wet, warm washcloths for us "in case" we smashed cake in each other's faces.
He went above and beyond and truly made the night amazing! He had to deal with a lot of my crazy family drama, but he did it graciously! He even packed doggy bags of the FABULOUS food for us. Thanks Jerry!!

Jerry and his staff has worked with us many times catering dinners at our venue after a memorial service. He and his staff work extremely well together, they get everything set up / taken down in a timely and professional manner. They have always been generous in the quantity of food that has been ordered and there are always compliments received on the quality of the meal. We encourage our members to use Parkway whenever we can! You won't be disappointed.

Jerry and his staff were absolutely wonderful. I could not have done it without them. I work 2 jobs and had limited time to do things and the staff at Parkway Banquets handled so much. Everything ran so smoothly I didn't have any worries. I got nothing but compliments from all of my guests how wonderful the food was and how beautiful the place looked all thanks to Jerry and his staff. Parkway Banquets and Catering (PB&C) is AMAZING! I needed to find a caterer to host a Celebration of Life gathering at my home for my family and friends, as my spouse of 20yrs passed away suddenly. Needless to say, the thought of having to deal with such an event in the shadows of my recent loss was more than I could handle at the time. When looking for catering businesses to get this project underway, I started out by contacting PB&C and spoke with Michelle H. (Facilities Mgr.) and Jerry (Owner) to get their thoughts, ideas, etc... on this upcoming event. Although they were the first business I contacted, they in fact were the last. They were the ones! After speaking for some time with both Michelle and Jerry, they understood immediatley what I wanted and needed to accomplish in hosting this event. Their expertise, insightfulness, understanding and compassion (especially with what I was dealing with personally), was REMARKABLE! The coordnation of the set-up at my home, e.g., tables, linens, chairs, speakers, etc...to the wonderful food, drinks, desserts, etc... and then utlimatley the breakdown of the tables, chairs, etc... went off without a hitch.... The bartender and wait staff could not have been more professional. The event was a huge success and enjoyed by all. My hats off to PB&C for their OUTSTANDING service and for making this event so effortless for me during a very difficult time in my life. KUDOS to ALL!

I had to pick a different date and they were very to help. The people they had to help were very quiet and helpful. The people were taken back by the view out the windows. The lake scene there is very calming.

Jerry and his staff at the Parkway are exceptional! My step-daughter had her wedding there and it went off without a hitch. Perfect day! Jerry was present for Rehearsal and the entire day of the event. He had numerous suggestions and has enormous attention to detail. He provided special meals for family members with food allergies, which was greatly appreciated. I just can't praise them enough for all they did to make this day special.

When it comes to amazing wedding vendors, Parkway by the Lake takes the (wedding) cake! My husband and I could not be happier with the service that Jerry, Michelle, and the whole Parkway staff, provided to us not only on the day of the wedding but throughout the whole wedding planning process. Jerry has the packages set up so that almost every single detail is accounted for (an in most cases) included in the cost.

Our package included: the hall rental, our wedding ceremony, our wedding cake, chair covers WITH colored sashes, a wine toast for all of our guests, both hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, a buffet that had a ton of food, a chocolate fountain, and even open bar for one low price per plate.

Jerry worked with my husband and I to make both the ceremony and the reception unique to us by letting us substitute choices that were included in the package for things that we wanted more such as: menu changes, up-lighting included at no additional charge and he helped us with a special surprise during our introduction as husband and wife to surprise our guests. Jerry even accommodated special request meals, for children in our family with special needs, with only a week's notice!!

I would recommend Parkway by the Lake to any and every bride and groom looking for a great venue to enjoy your special day. The space will be your alone that night, as he only has one event per night) and the lake make a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photos.

We had an amazing wedding there. Jerry was wonderful! I was able to call or message him about all wedding questions and he was very responsive. When my photographer failed to show up Jerry found me a photographer to fill in before the ceremony. All of the staff were great and very attentive! whenever I noticed a problem I would turn around and it was already fixed (when there was no more cake on the table I looked for Jerry to tell him and he came around with a bunch of cake to put out). The room was very beautiful! If I could pick again Parkway Banquets is the vendor I would chose! The head bartender was wonderful she was so nice and helpful. Parkway went above and beyond all of our expectations!

Jerry made our entire wedding stress free. He is the quintessential event planner. Parkway went above and beyond by providing even more of a food selection than we paid for. EVERYONE at our wedding commented that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Our reception was off site. Jerry's used his expertise in making space planning and decorations perfect. Our room glowed and was absolutely beautiful. I recommend Parkway to everyone. They not only cater but they help you plan your event with unbelievably good prices. Amazing service, staff, and FOOD! I love how everything was included at one flat price. What a great deal. The decor was beautiful and the venue was spacious. Jerry is AWESOME of course. So flexible. Even threw in a dessert table for free. We brewed our own beer for the party favors, and Jerry let us put some on ice behind the bar so guests could enjoy it cold. My husband and I had the time of our lives with our family and friends, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. I believe now Jerry has the photobooth set up which was in the works while we were there so we couldn't use it, but how awesome is that for future weddings? I loved how Jerry is pretty much a wedding coordinator too. Made everything so easy and stress free! Thank you Jerry for all your hard work and time to make our day so special.

I searched for a place to have my daughters first Holy Communion banquet at and was at a loss until I found Parkway! Jerry and his staff were so helpful on our wedding day as well as the entire planning of it. It was a pleasure working with Jerry and his staff. We are from Minnesota and Jerry helped us plan our wedding long distance and in a very short time. We had the most beautiful day and the intimate wedding that we truely wanted. The decor & food was fantastic! The staff were so helpful and it was so kind of them to let us take the leftovers home with us. The location was perfect with the lake just outside. Totally enjoyed rehearsal and wedding day. Banquet hall was beautiful and friendly people working there. Really took care of us all and guests loved the service and the food. Didn't feel pressure about anything and certainly had that special feeling about the venue. We heard only good things about the whole wedding ceremony and reception from our guests. Parkway by the lake was a very scenic venue with wonderful views of the lake and the trees. There were many scenic spots on the grounds where wonderful photos could be taken. We received many compliments from our guests about the delicious food. The head table had mini-lights under the skirt for a very attractive effect. The table linens and centerpieces were very pretty and matched the color scheme of the flowers and bridesmaids dresses. Jerry, the owner, was always available both before and during the reception in case there were any problems (there were none) or if we needed anything. We were very satisfied with the fast, efficient service, too. There was also a separate room where the bride and bridesmaids could dress, adjust make-up, etc. This was very convenient.

We decided to have our wedding reception at the Parkway on the Lake and we could not have made a better choice! When we first met with Jerry and started talking about possibilities for the reception he was extremely knowledgeable and very flexible with every aspect of the evening. He worked with us to customize a plan which would fit our budget and it was so refreshing after talking with several places which only had fixed plans to choose from.

During the appetizer hour there were two large tables strategically placed so our guests would have easy access to the food. We had a large wedding, 225 guests, so this was not a simple task, however, Jerry and his staff did a great job and the tables were constantly monitored and refilled as soon as an item was running low.

Once the wedding party arrived Jerry was on top of every detail. My husband and I never had to worry about any aspect of our reception. Even when the best man jumped on the maid of honors back and knocked her drink out of her hand, Jerry himself was on the scene with towels before anyone could even ask to have it cleaned up.

When it comes to the food at The Parkway I am almost speechless. Everything on the buffet was absolutely delicious. The only regret my husband had about the reception was, because of his duties as the groom, he only got to go through buffet once!

After dinner we started dancing the party really got started! After the normal opening dances the dance floor filled up quickly. Jerry and his staff removed more tables and chairs to expand the dance floor when it was clear it was getting packed. Also, they brought out big fans and positioned them to circulate cool air on the dance floor which was an absolute lifesaver!

I cannot recommend The Parkway on the Lake enough for your reception. Jerry will take care of you as if you were his own family. So if you want to have an amazing night with zero stress there is absolutely nowhere else you should go!

Jerry at Parkway banquets is wonderful. He provided a first class wedding for my son and DIL in September(On short notice as well!) and went out of his way to make this evening warm, personal and fun!.Jerry provided the guidance and suggestions with theceremony & reception planning and was present the evening of the wedding to ensure everything went as planned and more! His follow through was exceptional The food was great, the servers were kind and professional and our bartender Michelle was awesome and always went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and satisfied. Most of our guests and wedding party(around a 100 total) lived an hour away which caused me some concern at first but Jerry and Michelle made sure the evening was fun,memorable, enjoyable and safe! Definitely would recommend this venue for weddings as well as social events!

Jerry was WONDERFUL!! I would highly recommend parkway banquets to any future brides. Our wedding was a BLAST at parkway and the food was AMAZING. I didn't have any complaints from any of our guests. He even went out of his way to make sure our one guests, who was gluten intolerant, had a specific meal. We saved a lot of money by booking at parkway. I recommend visiting one of the bridal shows they have there. Jerry was always willing to answer any of my questions and help me with any details I needed. Both my husband and I would recommend parkway to anyone who asks, we love that place! Oh and the private lake nearby is picture perfect!!

Jerry is awesome!! Our flower order got messed up and Jerry was able to make it all happen. He makes sure everything goes smooth and perfect! The packages are straight forward and easy to understand. The food was wonderful and plenty! I really liked the way he took charge of everything right from the beginning! The staff was amazing and a big help!

Great value! Jerry was very helpful through the whole process and had great recommendations for photographer, DJ, and even hotels. Great place for a great price and wonderful pictures by the lake!

We had our daughter's wedding reception at Parkway Banquets and everything was absolutely wonderful! The venue was beautiful, the food was terrific and Jerry and his staff were very attentive throughout the entire evening making sure we had everything we needed. It was very obvious that Jerry and his staff had done many events in the past, as they graciously walked us through the planning process, providing ideas but being very flexible to make sure it was done just the way we wanted. Their pricing was one of the best in the area, and it included many little extras that other venues would not have included. I would highly recommend Parkway Banquets to anyone. We received numerous compliments and my daughter and new son-in-law were very happy, which is the most important piece of all. Thank you to Jerry and Parkway Banquets! Job Well Done!

We are from Wisconsin, married in McHenry, Illinois. Parkway was by far the best venue & the best deal from what we saw while shopping for a reception hall. The packages offered are phenomenal and reasonably priced. Jerry at Parkway worked with us every step of the way to make sure that our day was perfect. Not only were most of the wedding day items (reception wise) pretty much covered in the packages at Parkway, but because of the network of amazing vendors we were able to get our photographer and DJ all taken care of through Jerry's recommendations. We ended up with an A+ wedding, and it is the party that everyone is talking about. Most of those I have spoke with since have stated that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to!

I have been here for a wedding and after a funeral service and I was impressed each time. The wedding was just beautiful and the food was so good.

I would like to start by saying if I could give more stars, i would. I dont think 5 is enough. Jerry was absolutley phenominal. I could not rave enough about this man. My husband and I were married on september 8th, 2012. We planned our wedding in 2 months (crazy, i know), and Jerry could not have been more helpful. He was there for every single detail. He worked with our exrememly tight budget, and my wedding was above and beyond what i could have ever imagined it to be. There is no way it would have been so perfect without him. From the music, to the photographer, down to making sure my grandmother arrived with my flowers, he ensured my day was perfect. The ceremony and hall were absolutley beautiful. The decorations were breath taking. It was a breath of fresh air, and an honor for Jerry to be apart of my big day. I would reccommend him to anyone who wants a stress free, smooth, and beautiful wedding day. The food was delicious and everyone is still taking about how kind and organized the staff was. Jerry isnt that typical buisness man who just wants to be paid. He is very hands on, and he CARES about you and your day. With out getting into extreme detail, he went as far as to make sure my wedding night (after we left), was just as amazing as the actual wedding. I am forever in debted to him, and i cannont wait to do business with him again. My husband will be adopting my daughter. We will be having a celebration party for the adoption, and I couldnt imagine having that anywhere else.

If you are looking for a location with great food, knowledgable staff and incrediable views and landscaping(to get those fairytale, magazine photos), this is your location. I have ran into various friends and family since the wedding and they all say the same thing. "The food was awesome!" "There was so much food!" I wanted sit-down (for the same price) but my husband wanted buffet. He was right! Working with Jerry was great. He was like my own private wedding planner. He was very thorough at the meetings. He ran the show so I didn't have too! I was able to enjoy the drinks I paid for, and not to have to worry about what came next. OH and the pictures, by the lake. It was very romatic and I would definetly recommend it to anyone looking for a great wedding package all tied into one.

Parkway Banquets did an amazing job with our wedding. We got married August 5, 2011. Everything went perfect that day. Jerry perfected everything for our special day. The food was amazing! Everyone is still talking about the food from our wedding. I have friends who are going to start getting events catered through them. You will not be disappointed with Parkway Banquets.
