    Love this venue, love Hayden!

    My daughter got married upstairs in this venue, and her reception was downstairs. The food is provided on site and was absolutely delicious! The bar is also on site. For a stress free experience use this venue and hire Hayden as your coordinator. She is FANTASTIC! She met our every need, responded quickly to every question and took care of absolutely everything on the wedding day. As the mother of the bride I thought I would be so stressed that day, but because of Hayden, it was the least stress day of this entire wedding planning experience. Thank you Hayden from the bottom of my heart!

    Gorgeous Venue and Amazing Staff

    Park Crest is absolutely stunning inside and out! My fiance and I are having our ceremony in the gardens and our reception in the carriage house. They are very responsive and their catering options are very detailed. They also have a great rain plan if you're getting married in the garden.

    I cannot even begin to say enough wonderful things about Park Crest! Through the postponement of our wedding, they have been nothing but responsive, understanding, and kind to me, my fiance, and our families. Our wedding was beautiful and that is hugely thanks to their incredible staff. Daryl, the head chef, and Hayden, the manager, are both top-notch! Daryl did an incredible job of working within our budget and giving us an incredible meal that we could have never planned on our own. We had a buffet-style meal and he was able to configure a less-expensive cocktail buffet to feed our guests a huge variety of food and give them the feeling of getting a full meal. This saved us so much money and I would never have expected to be able to feed our guests beef, pork, chicken, AND huge crab cakes for what we wanted to pay! Everything is custom for you and he knocked it out of the park. Hayden worked so well with our wedding planner and she was so helpful throughout the process. I couldn't recommend Park Crest more! They have the most beautiful property and the best staff.

    Utilized the smaller facility for our daughter's wedding Feb.10th, 2018, and Darryl and crew exceeded our expectations in every way! Our reception included about 120 people and in hindsight was perfect for us. The facility offered a dining room atmosphere (for the more mature guests) and a separate bar/eating area enjoyed by the younger crowd. Kind of best of two world situation. We received many compliments on quality of the food and service...again, Darryl and crew were outstanding!
    Highly recommend as the Rating reflects!

    Park Crest is amazing! Our daughter's rehearsal dinner and wedding was in the gardens and the reception was in the carriage house in October. This venue is gorgeous! I just can't say enough about the staff and the facility at Park Crest. Our daughter's wedding was everything we hoped it would be. Working with Daryl and Miguel was a pleasure. They were both so helpful and worked very hard to make sure that everything was perfect for our family's special day. Daryl is very detail oriented and very helpful when I needed recommendations regarding the food and setup. He made great suggestions that helped us stay on budget and have a great menu. He is an incredible chef and the food was amazing! Better than any food I have ever had at any wedding. We heard so many comments from our guests about how great the food was. You will not run out and the prices are reasonable. We also had them cater the lunches for the bridal party on the day of the wedding which was so convenient. Daryl and Miguel are easy to work with and will make your day as stress free as possible. They will definitely go above and beyond your expectations. I can't imagine a better place to have a wedding or better people to work with. I highly recommend Park Crest!

    My son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner was absolutely beautiful, perfect in every way. The smaller venue was the perfect setting making our event intimate and memorable! It was the perfect start to a beautiful weekend for our special couple. The staff was fantastic, always helpful and responsive. Our family and friends were very impressed, those who live nearby as well as those from out of state/ out of country. We received numerous compliments and my son was so thrilled! Thank you for all your help! Great job to all of you!

    Front the first day we booked the venue until the day of the wedding the staff at Park Crest were AMAZING. No request went unfilled. Thank you Park Crest for helping us have a beautiful day.

    What a great venue! The new facility has all the bells and whistles. My daughter and her fiancé were married here on May 21, 2016 and I couldn't be happier. Everything was great, especially the staff! Besides the new facility, the gardens were beautiful and a great location for the wedding photos. I could not recommend Park Crest more! You will be pleasantly surprised and your special day will be even better. Great job Kelli, Jody and Leah!

    Getting married at Park Crest was the best decision we could have made. Kelli and her staff were fabulous, and made our wedding day so much fun and so stress-free. Every detail was worked out perfectly, and things couldn't have gone smoother. Our ceremony in the garden was gorgeous, and our reception inside the cozy Park Crest Place was so relaxed and created the perfect atmosphere for spending time celebrating with our friends and family. The catering was prepared beautifully, and the food was super good. We're still getting complements for how delicious the chili was that we served at the reception! Thank you for everything :)

    Kelli and her staff were very attentive. It started to rain during the ceremony and she actually cried. She takes it very personally and wants the bride's day to be special. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, great value. The Venue was beautiful and they take great care of their property. A local hotel is available to shuttle people the and from the venue, it was very convenient.

    Very nice people to work with! The only comment we had was that the serving plates were too small to carry everything to the tables and the potatoes on the potato bar were too hot for the cups they were served in.

    The Park Crest venue is truly a hidden gem!!I had my wedding ceremony and reception there in May and the gardens looked absolutely breathtaking! People at my wedding kept asking me how I found this place because it was absolutely amazing but not a lot of people heard of it before! I had about 200 people at my wedding but because of the open setting and spaciousness of the venue it felt small and intimate!!!! The food and service were fantastic as well! Kelli and Erin went above and beyond to make my day perfect. they were always available and pleasure to work with!!! I would recommend this venue to anyone!!! From the bottom of my heart Thank You Erin and Kelli for making my big day better than i could ever imagine!!!! ~Anastasia

    Beautiful wedding and reception! The view is wonderful! The food and bar service was great! All the servers were very polite and professional. The staff was very easy to work with. Could not have asked for a more perfect evening!

    Kelli and her staff were very courteous & professional. Her kitchen staff was extremely helpful in laying out, and then, packing up the food we had catered in. They were also very quick to service the tables as each guest completed his meal. The bartender was also very very nice and quick to respond to our special wishes. The event site itself was perfect for our group of 50 and Kelli was there to ensure everything went according to plan. If I have another event it will be at Park Crest.

    I have nothing but great things to say about ParkCrest and their employees. My wedding in the gardens in November was absolutely gorgeous! The views are just incredible. Every detail was handled for us and all we had to do was show up and then leave. The bar staff is a hoot too! All employees made us feel like we were the first and only couple ever to get married! I would highly recommend ParkCrest (especially the gardens!) to anyone! And my pictures taken overlooking the view are the best wedding pics I have ever seen! Great place with great people!

    Kelli and the team at Park Crest did an amazing job making us feel confident and at ease choosing the catering for the reception and provided great communication from the moment we met to tour the venue until then end of the night at our reception! I highly recommend

    Park Crest Wedding

    We are so happy that we picked Park Crest as our wedding venue. As a bonus we got Hayden as our wedding coordinator! She was wonderful in helping ensure all details were prepared for the wedding.

    You need to include an "Other events catorgory". Also, additional outside accent ground lighting, would enhance the gardens for evening events.

    Beautiful Venue

    Got married here in June 2024. The garden venue and Upper Level of the Carriage House are both beautiful. For the most part Park Crest is pretty responsive about things, and their contract is clear (you should note they are very specific about how long you can be in the venue and will charge you extra to use certain decor vendors), Darryl the caterer in particular was great and very flexible (we were able to do a tasting of our food even thought that is something they have stopped offering as a general rule). It seems like there was an abrupt personnel change right before our wedding that made some communication difficult, but Park Crest righted the ship and really helped deliver a truly beautiful wedding day for us!

    Wonderful venue, big issues on day of event.

    I want to start by acknowledging that this venue is spectacular. The Carriage House and garden areas are beautiful in every way. We chose a buffet with chicken piccata, beef tenderloin, mashed potato bar, salad, and bread. Everyone complemented how wonderful the food was all evening. The food was wonderful.
    When we booked the venue approximately a year ago, our contact person was amazing. She left shortly after for another job. We had a second person after her who also left after a couple of months. In our last few months, Kaleb was the one who worked with me to plan the details of my daughter’s wedding. He was amazing. He made sure that we got everything ordered and on our contract that we wanted. He always replied when I reached out and he was so helpful all along the way. He was truly a gem in every way leading up to the wedding.
    The reason for a lower rating is the stress, confusion, and lack of work that happened on our rehearsal day and the day of the wedding. The venue does state that you are not guaranteed to practice in the exact location of your event. However, we were told the last couple of months and up until the day before our rehearsal that we would indeed be able to use the garden area for our practice. We had also been told about two weeks out that there was nothing else scheduled at this venue on our rehearsal day and that it would be opened just for us. Upon arriving the afternoon of the rehearsal, there were many cars there other than ours. I went into the building to find a large group preparing for an event that we did not know about. They were confused at why I was there, and I was confused as to why they were there. I talked with the woman who was planning the other event (this was not a worker for Park Crest). I let her know that our practice had been planned for a long time and did not realize they would be there. She also was not told that we would be there. It was at this time I reached out to the venue and stated that we needed to be able to practice. All of our people were there, out of their cars standing around (including elderly grandparents) and ready to practice. I reached out to the venue and was told that we may have to just all get in our cars and move to another building to practice. I understand that this was in the contract, but we had been told up until a few hours before that we would indeed be able to practice at our location. You should never wait until the moment of an event to ask someone to relocate to another location. This was very unprofessional. The other group having the venue was a group who had strict religious dress practices and it was disrespectful for us to have even entered the building. This should have also been disclosed as well. However, the lady with the other group was very nice to me and she and I worked a compromise together for us to have a very rushed practice in the garden area. Again, she did not work for Park Crest, so she and I worked this out together on our own. During all of this confusion, all of our family and friends who were waiting to practice, had to stand around not knowing what to do.
    After our practice concluded, I reached out to the venue again to ensure that our reception area and the garden area would be set up first thing in the morning for my arrival at 9:00 to begin setting up for our mid afternoon wedding. I was reassured that the “crew” would be there at 7:00 am and all tables and chairs would be in place and ready upon my arrival. Upon my arrival at 8:45 am, there was not a “crew” anywhere in the building working. I entered our reception area first to start my decorating. The tables and chairs had not been set up according to the schematic that I had submitted two weeks prior. We did not have time to wait around for workers to show up as we were on a strict timeline. I had three friends with me, and we frantically began moving tables and chairs to where they should be placed. I reached out to the venue to ask why my set up was not complete. I was told that he was there and would come help. So not a crew, but one man shows up in the room. I had to ask him to bring two additional tables and several table cloths that also were not in place. He basically became my gofer because we had already put everything in place. He just had to bring me missing items such as another table and table cloths. It took us an additional 40 minutes of our personal time to prepare the tables and chairs before we could even begin to decorate.
    Next, we moved to the garden area to begin decorating as this is where the ceremony was to be held. The chairs in the garden area were still in the configuration from the last event that was there. Our gift table and sign in book table had not been set up. We had to frantically set up the chairs on our own. We found two tables for the entrance and had to drag them ourselves to set them up. It took approximately 40 minutes to set up the chairs and tables in the garden area to match the set up that I had submitted two weeks prior to our event. Keeping in mind I had been told that our set up would be completed between 7:00 am and 9:00 am before our arrival. By the time we set up the reception and the garden areas on our own, we were hot, sweaty, exhausted, and completely frustrated. To make this even worse, the last event had left their florals in the garden area as well. We also had to spend extra time taking down and removing their decor before we could start to put ours out. This put us behind an hour in decorating for our event. This is absolutely unacceptable. We paid very good money to use this beautiful venue. I had been reassured in the weeks leading up to our event and the day before that everything would be set up and ready for us on our big day at 9:00 AM. It was a mid afternoon wedding so we were working with a very tight timeline. The only time I saw more than one worker was around 10:30 am when they showed up to set up the dance floor. So for a recap, we set up our own reception area, garden area, and had to remove decor from the previous event.
    One other issue, which was not the fault of the event, was our huge flower arrangement on the back of the get away car was stolen during the reception. There is a large apartment complex right next to the venue, and the only thing we can figure is someone took it off at some point. There was not any wind that day and it was a large and heavy arrangement. This is more of a safety issue that someone could be potentially stealing things during your event.
    I do not want to be overly dramatic, but as a mother of the bride, this took an emotional toll on my entire day. I started my morning by doing their set up work for them before I could even begin to decorate for my daughter’s wedding. We spent over an hour of our own time doing the work that was to have been completed by the venue. It was in all of our information and notes for an entire year that we would be there at 9:00 am to begin our set up. We were told repeatedly that it would be ready upon our arrival. My last check in on the set up was the evening before our event. I was reassured once again that everything would be ready and in place by 9:00 am. There were a few other issues as well, but I honestly think just this alone was enough to mention. My morning started out happy, excited, and joyful. When I arrived at the event, my excitement turned into stress, chaos, and exhaustion.
    I do believe that I should be compensated for this, however, I am certain this will not happen.

    Amazing catering staff, unhelpful front office

    We had our wedding at Park Crest Event Facility October 2021 (we had to postpone it from October 10, 2020 due to the pandemic). Our day was nothing short of beautiful thanks to the facility - we had our ceremony in the gardens and our reception on the main floor of the carriage house. We continue to receive compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the space was. Park Crest Catering was a pleasure to work with, and they deserve 5 stars: our guests LOVED the food, and the catering manager is extremely knowledgeable, professional, reasonable, and responsive. He worked to accommodate whatever we needed and kept in touch with me, which I greatly appreciated.

    If the majority of your wedding guests are coming from out of town, I do not recommend booking with Park Crest. You will not be able to schedule a rehearsal until about 2 weeks in advance of your wedding date, and if the facility has an event the day before yours, you will not have a rehearsal until the day of your wedding, which is highly inconvenient when your wedding party needs to make travel plans to come to Birmingham. The event coordinator for Park Crest was not customer-service oriented; often, her emails were terse, and when I had questions/needed assistance, I was not offered suggestions or recommendations that would help meet my needs. It was for this reason that I sought an external day-of wedding coordinator instead of taking advantage of in-house services. About 2 weeks prior to the wedding, the Park Crest event coordinator stopped responding to my emails altogether despite my asking her direct questions. If she had been responding to my coordinator instead of me, it would have been appropriate for her to let me know that, but she did not. Furthermore, I did not have a good experience with the representative they recommended to me for arranging hotel blocks and travel plans, as she completely forgot to reserve a block at one of the hotels I had very clearly articulated that we needed.

    Lastly, I recommend asking your vendors for a comprehensive list of services they provide, as some of the same services offered by Park Crest are overpriced.

    Hi Alaina, we are so happy you and your guests enjoyed your event time at Park Crest. We're sorry you felt your questions weren't answered properly or in a timely manner. Looking back through all your emails, it looks like all the questions were answered though. Our sales office is open Monday thru Friday so if you send an email over the weekend or on a day when we are closed for a private event, there is a short delay until the next business day when you get a reply. When your day of coordinator started communicating with us, you were copied on all the emails. We are surprised that you feel you were left out of these correspondances. We are sorry if the responses you received seemed 'terse'. They were answers to the questions you asked and in no way were meant to be rude, just informative. As far as rehearsals go, we schedule them as conveniently as possible for the client, around our event calendar. If the desired rehearsal space is booked during the time you want to rehearse, we have three other spaces available for your rehearsal. We enjoyed working with you though and it is very upsetting that you did not feel the same. We will definitely review your emails in depth to see where the problem arose.
