Krista and her assistant Pam were absolutely amazing. She made our wedding go so smoothly and was always available to talk when we needed her. My wife and I are so thankful to have found her. She truly has become not just "our wedding coordinator ", but a friend we will always have. Thank you again for everything! -

Krista is hands down the best wedding coordinator out there! She went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was the best day of our lives. My wife and I got married in early July of 2022 and we hired Krista to be our day of coordinator. Our ceremony was at Centennial Park in Coronado and our reception was at the University Club in downtown San Diego. We had a lot of moving pieces and multiple vendors setting up at both locations. Paper Jewels Events flawlessly coordinated everything at both venues to ensure that everything was picture perfect. She truly got to know us during our meetings before the big day and in by doing so, was able to help us make crucial decisions in the planning process so that by the day of the wedding, everything was set in place and we got to kick back and just enjoy the day. I truly cannot recommend her enough, if you want your wedding to be the best day of your lives and to not have to worry about a thing during the day, hire Paper Jewels Events!Paper Jewels Events's reply:

Krista is beyond phenomenal. She helped us get through a postponement, planning during Covid, and was by our side way beyond her job description. She put up with the million emails and questions I sent and validated all of my concerns. She kept us calm through all of the crazy unknowns and helped us navigate difficult conversations with the venue. During the wedding day, she put out fires quietly and with a smile. My whole family fell in love with her. She is simply a lovely human being and exactly who you want surrounding you on your wedding day. I am so so so grateful for her! Thank you, Krista, for helping us pull off our dream wedding! -

If you want your day to be amazingly special, Krista is your lady! We hired her and her staff to help plan my daughters bridal shower and wedding. From day one I knew she was going to be my rock through all of this. Her attention to detail and organizational skills are impeccable. She made my daughters dreams become reality and for that I will be forever grateful. From the beautiful invitations she made to her wonderful interaction with other vendors, she aims to please. This mother of the bride was cool, calm and collective on my daughters special day. Best money I’ve ever spent!! Ive included a few pictures from the wedding and the shower. -

Having the course to plan a wedding long distance until I moved to my husband's country, it was pertinent for us to find someone who could help us co-ordinate and pull together a lot of the moving parts prior to and on the wedding day itself! Finding Krista was like finding a gem... true to her business name 'Paper Jewel Events'. We hired Krista for the 'Month of Co-ordaintion' services and this was one investment that was the BEST decision my husband and I made. Krista entertained video calls and long emails until I was able to meet her in person. She has a welcoming demeanour, very flexible, accommodating and supportive. It was like planning your wedding with your close friend. She had great advice, was open to referring some other great vendors where needed, creative, professional and responsive to communication. Everyone at our wedding complimented on how smooth things went on the day and our family was so grateful they didn't have to lift a finger before, during or even after (for clean up) but instead could really enjoy the celebration. Not only does Krista co-ordinate the heck out of an event but she even did some of our stationery (signage, menus, programs and seating arrangement) as an all-inclusive element in her services. Like WOW! She was able to deliver and implement the vision we had for our day and this girl rocked!! In all honesty she needs to charge more for the Fantastic work she delivered. Worth her weight in Gold! And I'm thankful for having found her! If she is available for your event ...don't hesitate, book her now! -

Once we gave her the theme of what we wanted, Krista was so creative in giving us different ideas within the budget we discussed. She was very cost efficient which was something that my husband and I were the most concerned about and she hit it out of the park. She was very professional and super helpful and encouraging throughout the entire process. -

Unfortunately, I could not recommend Krista. My wedding day did not go as smooth as it could have. The ceremony was very unique due to having no rehearsal. There was a lot throughout the night my husband, mom and I had to do (that was scheduled on the timeline) due to no coordination. She brought her daughter as an assistant who was not thrilled to be there and did not put love/quality into the work she was asked to do. She did a great job at coordinating with vendors but again with no rehearsal dinner due to an emergency on her end the ceremony/reception did not go as smooth as I hoped and I think about it daily. She had some good vendor recommendations, phone calls were fantastic, walk through months before the wedding was great and with all other reviews maybe I had high expectations but I cannot recommend to others.Paper Jewels Events's reply:

So since my wedding, I keep remembering and hearing about more and more things that Krista and her team missed and flubbed and it really irks me because I was a chill bride and tried so hard to make her life as easy as possible by staying organized. I even made her a detailed power point AND gave her an inventory list, and still she missed quite a few things... She failed to put out the table runners. Small thing to be annoyed about yes, but I spent so much money on those runners and my step mom put them in a box ON TOP of the table cloths... sooo I don't understand how she missed them. When my step mom showed her where they were, she had an attitude about it... If that was all she messed up, then no big deal, but she knew that the most important thing to me was getting as much time on the dance floor as possible. When we were done taking photos before cocktail hour she was nowhere to be found. I had to send someone to get her so we could make our grand entrance. Then she has the table of people who were going to give toasts eat last! My brother asked her over and over why they weren't eating first so they could make their speeches while everyone was lining up to eat... when she finally lets their table go she tells them to hurry and eat so they could get to the speeches... That REALLY cut into dance floor time and we almost missed sunset photos. She also failed to do anything when we ran out of water... didn't bother putting the heaters out until it was FREEZING and I had to tell her assistant to get the heaters out and the blankets out. These things should not have been missed and I wish I hadn't given her such a big tip. She was cheaper than most other wedding coordinators, but I'd advise to spend more to get more. Weddings present many unique challenges with managing many other vendors, multiple schedules and service timelines and providing reasonable and prompt resolutions to unexpected issues that may arise. Many things are also happening behind the scenes and that can often lead to the perception that something wasn’t done or done the way it was intended. Even the most organized and well-prepared events encounter these situations and sometimes, they are completely out of our control.
In the 23 years I’ve been planning and coordinating events, I’ve built a solid reputation on a high level of quality, integrity, and transparency. I assure you, our top priority was always to make sure your day was amazing.
