You cannot go wrong using Paper Heart Photography! She’s responsive, on time, and both Kate and her second shooter for my wedding were both incredible! AMAZING Photographer

Kate is absolutely incredible. From the very beginning, she was professional and she listened to what we wanted for our engagement and wedding photos. She is organized, communicates well and is so very sweet. Our engagement session made us feel more comfortable with her and she takes INCREDIBLE photos and plays with light so well. On our wedding day, she did way more than a photographer has to (carried my dress, made sure we had food, etc.), she organized other bridal party members & guests for photos and made sure to capture everything. Some of our guests even commented how impressed they were with her ability to be everywhere at the right moments to capture everything. She also knew when to leave private moments to us, which we appreciated. I truly felt like I had someone in my corner on my wedding day. We will use Kate for all future photography needs. Thank you, Kate!

Picturesque Photos

Kate and Lauren did an amazing job capturing the most amazing day ever. I am so glad I had both of them to help capture the getting ready before the wedding. Amazing job!

Kate was absolutely amazing to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding! She is so personable and easy to get along with and truly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is calm and laid back but was super organized and efficient getting through the posed pictures on our wedding day - exactly what you want in a photographer! Wedding dreams come true

Kate is the absolute best! My husband and I hired paperhearts photographer for our engagement photos and wedding. I swear it felt like we’d known each other for years. Talented, professional and detail-oriented.

Working with Kate was amazing! I had been in weddings where she was the photographer and she was great then and is what made me choose her for our wedding. She is detailed, her calm and caring personality shines bright and really made my husband and I feel at ease during the entire day.

As a person who cherishes the little things and details, she captured those moments and ones I didn't even think of. What amazed us both was seeing all that she captured and looking back we didn't even realize she was there. She blends right in and I think that is something special too.

She got to know us and understand our style and personalities and captured it perfectly. Also, being a COVID wedding, back in August, she was helpful and supportive as we continued to ebb and flow with changing plans. She offered great support, ideas and even helped me with my run of show, since I didn't have a planner anymore. That was beyond her role or our expectations.

The photos are amazing and I love the system she uses too. We can't wait to use her in the future for our future milestone photo sessions in our life. A truly talented photographer, a great business woman and just a genuine and caring soul.

Covid Wedding

We originally signed with paper heart to do bridal portraits and full day wedding/reception. However the pandemic had different plans for us and Kate was super flexible and adjusted our package to meet our new needs for a small ceremony on our original date and our reception planned for 2021. I cannot recommend her enough and feel very lucky to be able to work with her twice. I look forward to her capturing more of our family moments!

Book Kate this very second! Not only do I have the most gorgeous wedding photos in the whole entire world, I also had a blast shooting with her. She made the wedding day photo circus so easy and fun. Kate Marcus is the absolute best photographer and we are so honored that she chose to work with us! My husband and I loved our very first interaction with her. We looked at one another after our initial meeting and said "She is our photographer". She is the most bubbly, outgoing, charismatic, and caring person. I felt as though she had been a girlfriend of mine for many years. Prior to our wedding, Kate took our engagement photos, in October of 2017, in a beautiful orchard field in Fort Mill. She rocked out beautiful photos in 30 minutes. We were and are still amazed! The photos are still being enjoyed today.

For our wedding, Kate managed to deliver the most beautiful photos that we have every laid our eyes on while being 8 months pregnant, in the Summer's heat. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Noah's Event Venue in Charlotte. She made every ounce of the venue seem like a museum. Her eye for love and art is amazing! Her timeliness of the delivery of our wedding photos was also amazing. She edited 909 photos in a little over 2 weeks. We are forever thankful for the lifelong relationship we have created with Kate Marcus. We are looking forward to the memories that will be captured in the future!

Kate is beyond talented & was SO fabulous to work with! She is genuine & fun; from the start of our engagement session we felt a lot less awkward in front of the camera than we anticipated. While shooting she gave helpful prompts & direction, but not too much...so our pictures looked natural & candid. Also, we love the mix of both black-white & color pictures! Additionally, she is timely & organized- which can definitely cut down on stress during the busyness of wedding planning. Kate was so amazing to work with! She was helpful beyond her role, flexible, calm, professional, and accommodating. Most importantly, her photos are absolutely stunning. It was so hard to chose a photographer for our wedding- it was the most important vendor to me, but once we saw Kate's website we knew that she was the right person to work with. I'm so glad that we went with her. I loved the attention to detail- she captured every little thing that I put so much time and effort into, without my asking or specifically pointing anything out. We (speaking for us both!) cannot recommend Kate highly enough. She was prompt, thorough, and most importantly took absolutely amazing pictures of our wedding. Kate was also very accommodating for the additional family/friends pictures we asked for and did a great job of making the entire operation very efficient so we could enjoy as much time as possible on our wedding day. Even better, Kate had terrific suggestions for other cute pictures we ended up taking that will now be among the absolute most memorable ones we'll have. Kate is seriously the best!!! I would highly recommend Kate to anyone who is looking for a talented photographer! I wanted engagement pictures here in the Fort Mill area and moving from Ohio a year ago, I was nervous about finding someone that would also fit my style. Kate was the perfect fit! She has such a bubbly personality and made our engagement shoot so fun! She had great ideas for where to shoot our pictures to make them unique. One thing that really stood out to me about Kate and it showed her pictures was her technique with the lighting/sun. Those were some of my favorite pictures! Also, her timing on getting sneak peaks and all edited photos back is impeccible! We got 30 sneak peaks back the NEXT day and all edited photos back in ONE week. I was so amazed!!! I highly recommend Paper Heart Photography for your wedding day! Kate is a pleasure to work with and has a great eye for detail and lighting. We loved the variety of shots she was able to give us! Paper Heart Photography truly went above and beyond my expectations for wedding photography. Kate and her husband captured every special moment and have allowed my husband and I to re-live our magical day through pictures. Thanks to them, our pictures are truly captivating. Yes Yes Yes! Go with Kate! Choosing a photographer for our wedding was the hardest decision to make. My husband is a photographer himself so you can imagine how picky we were. Ha! We saw so many other great reviews for Paper Heart Photography and my coworker also used Kate and had nothing but great things to say about her. We met with Kate and we thought she was so sweet and she would be great to work with. First impressions mean a lot to us. We then had our engagement photos and had so much fun. When we got our photos back we were even more excited for her to shoot our wedding photos! On the day of the wedding Kate showed up on time and ready to shoot. She brought her husband as her second shooter...they make an awesome team! Our wedding was December 10th, 2016 and she had all of our wedding photos back to us that next Friday while we were on our honeymoon. It was so special being on our honeymoon and being able to view those photos while we were still celebrating that special time. The photos are absolutely perfect and it captured every special piece of our wedding day, almost like they didn't miss a beat. I have no complaints at all. Choosing photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make in the process of planning your wedding. They are responsible for capturing the images you and your family will look back on for years and generations to come of one of the most important days of your life. I am SO glad that we entrusted Kate with this responsibility. From day one she was there to answer any question I had, pretty much minutes after I would send her an email or a text. Her pricing is great...I looked at lots of photographers who cost a LOT more and their quality was nowhere near the level of Paper Heart Photography. My now-husband and I are certainly not naturals in front of the camera. Kate was able to get images of us that perfectly captured who we are as a couple. We had so much fun during the engagement session. Leading up to the wedding, Kate was great about checking to make sure we were all on the same page in terms of a timeline and shots that we wanted for the big day. She enlisted her hubby, Joe, as her second shooter and they definitely make a great team. She took charge as soon as she got there...and the whole photo-taking process went so smoothly. It was definitely one of my favorite parts of my wedding day. She and Joe captured so many moments...but were so unobtrusive, you almost forgot they were there taking photos. I got my photos back quickly...in less than 2 weeks. When I clicked the link I was beyond blown away. The photos were all stunning. The only problem now is that I have SO many favorites to choose from, I am thinking that my wedding album is going to have to have numerous volumes! I cant say enough good things about Kate! She was recommended by my venue and was the only photographer I met with, that's how good her work is. My husband and I are not very photogenic but she was patient with us and our pictures turned out AMAZING. She also had a very quick turn around! She met with us at Starbucks to discuss what we were looking for in our wedding pictures - she was so kind, and able to talk with us about the differences in packages and how to get the most bang out of our budget. She kept in touch in the 10+ months between us booking her and our big day. I was blown away with her (and her husband as our second shooter) on the big day. It seemed like they were everywhere and nowhere. I honestly did not even notice them at the ceremony and reception but OMG they got pictures of everything! For the bridal party shots, we did not have a set place we wanted to take pictures... Kate walked us all over and found the most amazing places to photograph. I am blown away by the pictures she got of us and our wedding guests. I even told her before the ceremony about a special family member who was sick but still at the wedding - she made sure to get pictures of this guest every time they interacted with myself or any other family members. We will cherish the pictures for years to come.

Book Kate today! She is so incredibly sweet and SO GOOD at her job. She will make you instantly feel comfortable and she helps direct you to tell you what to do...so if you don't feel comfortable in front of a camera, she will make it easy for you! Not only that, but we got our wedding pictures back SO FAST after the wedding...everyone was commenting about how it was "unheard of" to get them back so fast or that she must be a super hero. The truth is, yes she is! She is also willing to help you along the way with any to-do's and was even going to help us take stuff over to the venue before the ceremony. We ended up not needing to, but it was so nice she offered and was willing! You will love working with Kate and you will love your pictures. Book her immediately because she fills up fast!!

Kate is amazing! She took beautiful pictures and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Everyone has asked us who our photographer was and complimented our pictures. I used to work in wedding photography and I knew that the pictures from the day would be the MOST important thing to me, so I was worried we could find someone we loved in our budget, but then we found Kate. She was so professional and had great, creative ideas for posing. It actually ended up raining during our engagement shoot and I was worried we'd have to cancel, but she brought an umbrella and we ended up doing some really lovely shots that are very unique. When she found out we like Wes Anderson movies, we took some Wes Anderson inspired shots.

Everyone in my family is really scatter brained and she and her husband did such a good job of corralling the crazy on the wedding day. Also the biggest plus to me is that she took amazing low light photos, which is hard to find and so necessary for an evening or indoor wedding. She's the best and we're going back for maternity, newborn and family photos someday!

Kate was incredibly kind and had a smile on her face every moment of our interactions together, from our first meeting over breakfast to our wedding day when she flitted around tirelessly catching every shot we'd talked about and many more. She was incredibly professional as well, answering correspondence in a timely manner and making sure every detail was taken care of and planned out before our big day. I was not going to hire a photographer for our wedding in order to cut some costs. My cousin, who is a wedding coordinator, found Kate and asked me to take a look at her work online. She was reasonably priced, her philosophy of simplicity matched ours, and our initial meeting went well. We did not have an engagement session, but still felt very comfortable with Kate the day of the wedding. She was very patient with my huge family and my bossiness! Our wedding timeline changed several times due to factors out of our control, and Kate just went with the flow and was able to capture everything we asked her to. She worked well with my coordinator (cousin). Her editing was fast, and the website she used to “deliver” the photos to us was easy to use. I am SO glad we spent the money for Kate to photograph our wedding! It was well worth it!

Where to begin!? Kate is simply amazing! From the first phone call to our wedding day, she was nothing but professional, fun and awesome! We were super nervous about our engagement photos and being photographed, but Kate was super relaxed and made us feel so comfortable. Kate has been with us since the very beginning, we met at a Starbucks to discuss engagement pictures and we knew right away from the time we sat down and exchanged our first pleasantries that this was the lady for us! Our engagement pictures were fantastic, which surprised us since my husband and I have no idea how to pose in front of a camera at all. Kate helped us through everything until we could let loose and have some fun with it.

Fast forward to wedding day - I probably emailed Kate 15 times asking what I'm sure are stupid questions but she answered everything for me quickly and reassured me of everything. Then it was the big day, she and her second shooter Michelle came in and right away fit in with all of the chaos going on. They took the divide and conquer method to get the most fabulous detail shots as well as all our getting ready pictures. From getting ready pictures, to ceremony pictures, to reception pictures I can't stop looking at.

Kate is an amazing photographer as well as one of the most easy, fun, joyful, people you will ever work with. I can't wait to work with her in the future for other sessions!

As I did my own wedding research, I found myself a little skeptical of 5 star ratings. No one is perfect, right? But hear me when I say this: Kate deserves every one of them. Every single star. She is a dream to work with - incredibly talented, very professional, and just a joy to be around. My husband and I are so glad we hired Kate and her husband Joe. They did an amazing job shooting our wedding in March! All the pictures turned out great. From every little detail. Kate is a pleasure and so easy to work with. She has a great personality and fits right in. She also responds right away when you contact her. Oh and she was also willing to travel all the way from SC for our wedding, and go back the next day to shoot someone else's wedding. Kate made sure she got all the important shots, and talked to us throughout the whole day to make sure we weren't missing any shots. On our wedding day it was about 35 degrees in Williamsport, PA. All of us were freezing for our outside pictures, but she did a great job of snapping the pictures quick and keeping us moving to get inside quicker; and amazingly, we don't look frozen. Kate also recommended going on the roof top of our reception building (Genetti). So when we got up there my husband and I were both surprised with how "rustic" it looked. When we saw the pictures she took up there, they were instantly some of our favorites. Kate has such a great eye and attention to detail. The pictures were sooo pretty and perfect.
I'm so happy we went with PHP. Make sure you contact her ASAP, she books so fast!

What will people remember the most about your wedding day? Well it depends, but the only true way to remember would be to sort through all the beautiful wedding photos taken that day. Early on photos are perhaps posted to social media and passed around to close family and friends. Later in life hopefully they're shared among children and grandchildren. Paper Heart Photography could not have captured more precious memories that we will enjoy throughout our lifetime. Not to mention working with Kate was such a blessing. She made our job easy. Prior to the big day she asked about our style and story in order to capture the essence of 'us.' Paper Heart Photography was both professional and real in that we felt we could be ourselves despite being followed by cameras throughout the day. Kate Marcus with Paper Heart Photography was outstanding! First, she took the time to have a phone conversation with me when I was curious about the photography packages. Most of the other photographers just sent me a brief email listing their package info. Secondly, she was always extremely quick to respond anytime I had questions about photography. Lastly, on the day of my wedding Kate made the hustle and bustle of making sure you get all the right pictures A BREEZE! One of my biggest concerns was that with a large wedding party (10 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen) and with choosing not to do the "first look" that the picture time after the ceremony would take a very long time and that would leave much less time for the reception. Kate and her husband did a great job of quickly organizing everyone but the quality of the pictures still remained fantastic! Also, there were a few picture ideas that I had found on Pinterest that I loved. Kate made sure that we got those pictures completed and I can honestly say that a few of those look better than the Pinterest photos (I may be a bit biased though!). Kate has such a knack for great photography and is an astounding artist. If you are looking for a photographer that is capable of capturing those uniquely gorgeous wedding pictures Paper Heart Photography is the photographer I would recommend!

If I could give Paper Heart Photography more than five stars, I seriously would. My husband and I eloped in Asheville, NC this May and we asked Paper Heart Photography to shoot an elopement session for us. Kate really took the time to get to know us before the session—something we appreciated beyond words.

The day of our session, my husband and I were running late (*sigh*) and Kate kindly agreed to push the session back an hour. Once we arrived at the site, we got straight to work (and felt comfortable with Kate and Joe immediately). The two of them are energetic, friendly, very professional, and—quite obviously—incredibly passionate about their art. Kate was extremely eager to actualize our vision; she even MADE unique props for our session!

Kate promised edited photographs within two weeks, and she totally delivered; everyone to whom we've showed our photographs has been absolutely blown away. And, need I say it? We LOVE them!

How do you begin to describe someone who was more than just your photographer at your wedding? I cannot tell you how many different ways Kate and her associate helped make our wedding a success! She was there in the morning and it was like she was in my bridal party... She just added one more sweet and bubbly personality in the room! I knew going into this that she was amazing after I saw her work from my friend Abby's wedding...but having experienced her at my own wedding now... She's so much more! From the beginning before the wedding... She made sure down to the last minor detail that every shot, every moment I wanted to remember was captured in her unique and STUNNING style! Aside from her perfect professionalism... Her style of photography is simply amazing! She has a softness and a quality that cannot be explained... It's simply breathtaking. My reception experienced a power outage towards the end of the night and we didn't have music for a while... Kate did an amazing job with my bridal portraits and wedding pictures. When we first booked Kate she was focused on detail and wanted to make sure she could capture all of the details of my wedding. She made sure she knew about all of my decorations, colors, traditions etc. She introduced me to the idea of first look. This was the best advice I received throughout the entire wedding planning. The first look pictures are my favorite from that day!! She captured everything I hand created, all the decorations, the wedding party was captured exactly how I wanted them to be. Everything was captured!!! After the wedding I realized she captured all pictures without getting in the way of the actual ceremony, she did everything without any issues. Paper Heart Photography is wonderful! Kate really strived to get to know as much as she could about myself and my fiance before the shoot, and was fully prepared with good ideas. She also is SUPER fast at editing pictures, and giving all of them to you. We got ours within 1-2 weeks. I definitely will be getting pictures done with her again!

Kate is amazing! She does such an excellent job at keep in touch in the planning stages and making sure every detail is captured perfectly. Kate is extremely flexible with any circumstances and will make the most of any setting. Her photography is very natural and captures the simple beauty. We were so pleased with all of Kate's work and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Kate is wonderful! She did such a beautiful jobs with all of our photos. When we looked back through the photos, we continually commented about how much they represented the entire day. Such a blessing! She really captured each moment!

Kate did a fantastic job connecting with us as a couple and understanding what we were looking for in a photographer. Her style matched the vintage feel of our wedding very well. She had wonderful posing ideas and was great to work with. She has a wonderful personality and an awesome eye for what works. Highly recommend.

Kate and her husband did an amazing job with our wedding photos!! There may have been one out of the hundreds that we recieved that we did not like, they were exactly what we were looking for and absolutely beautiful. They are very easy going and flexible people which makes things less stressful the day of wedding. They clearly care about the client and want to capture exactly what the client wants. I specifically love their attention to detail and how comfortable they made us feel during the whole process. We couldn't have picked a better photographer for our wedding, the pictures and the overall experience with them was excellent!!!
