Peter was the epitome of professionalism and personality at our wedding at Brooklyn Winery on September 27th. From the outset, he was super receptive during our initial meetings and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire ceremony planning process.
At our wedding itself, he approached our ceremony with the perfect balance of charisma, character, and emotion that painted our relationship beautifully and made our vows feel that much more special.

Peter was an excellent officiant. What makes him stand out is that he is not just there to “read some words for the ceremony,” he cares about making the day special and smooth for the couple as well. It rained on our wedding day and there was a lot of scrambling we had to do (get umbrellas, purchase ponchos) to have our dream wedding happen. Peter, without any hesitation, said “Don’t worry about me, rain or shine I will be there. I don’t mind rain at all!” His spirit, professionalism and thoughtfulness truly makes him stand out and we would highly recommend him to anyone! -

Scottish wedding in Central Park
We discovered Peter after watching his wonderful Central Park wedding videos on YouTube, and were instantly drawn to his calm and friendly demeanour. From our very first conversation, he made us feel completely at ease. Around a year before our wedding, we had a Zoom call with him where he guided us through the various ceremony and location options — and even took care of reserving our preferred spot in the park.
Peter really took the time to get to know us and understand the kind of day we envisioned. We trusted him to take the lead, and despite only meeting over Zoom once, he delivered a ceremony that felt incredibly personal and meaningful.
We're from Scotland, and Peter went above and beyond to incorporate thoughtful Scottish traditions into our ceremony. From a handfasting to a traditional blessing, and even finishing with a wee dram from the quaich — it all made the day feel that much more special, and like a little piece of home. He even managed to include a touching mention of our beloved dog, Napoleon.
Would we recommend Peter to be your officiant? Absolutely — a hundred times over. Thank you again for making our day so memorable.

We used Peter as our officiant on 10/20/24. Right from the start he was very communicative, answered all of our questions and my fiancé and I just felt comfortable with him right off the bat. My fiancé and I are of different religious backgrounds so we wanted someone non denominational who can make our wedding still feel a bit spiritual with a sand ceremony, and Peter was did a fantastic job. Our families agreed that he did a great job as well, he kept our guests engaged and interested during the ceremony. We're very happy that Peter played a role in one of the happiest days of our lives, book him!!! -

If you are looking for a wedding officiant who will make you ceremony rememberable, personal and just out right amazing then Peter really is the person! From the initial meeting with Peter i knew we had made the right choice in our officiant. The ceremony was wrote around our relationship making it really special. The whole process from booking right until the day was so smooth and easy to do which makes wedding planning so much easier! Peter was a genuinely lovely guy and really down to earth and funny! Peter was an exceptional officiant for our wedding. With a mix of English-speaking and Chinese-speaking guests, he made sure everyone felt included and enjoyed the ceremony, regardless of language barriers. Peter provided us with a thoughtful script, and after a few minor adjustments, it was exactly what we envisioned for our special day. His delivery was flawless—articulate, engaging, and highly professional.
We also incorporated a sand ceremony, which was Peter's wonderful suggestion, and it added a meaningful touch that we hadn’t initially considered. Throughout the planning process, he was incredibly responsive, always quick to reply to emails, and arrived early on the day of the wedding to ensure everything was in place.
We couldn't have asked for a better officiant and wholeheartedly recommend Peter to anyone looking for a truly memorable wedding ceremony. -

Peter was amazing throughout our whole wedding journey from 1st email and zoom call until the big day. He advised us throughout, from the perfect spot in Central Park for our ceremony, to giving us lots of options for our vows. We chose to go with Peter because of how he made us feel on our first zoom appointment and he did not disappoint. What a lovely man! He organised the flowers and photographer for us and both were perfect. He was fantastic, professional and reassuring on the big day and the ceremony was beautiful. We can’t speak highly enough of the service and communication that Peter provided us for our NYC elopement from Australia. He took the time to do a Zoom call with us to get to know us and us to get to know him. We immediately connected and knew Peter was the one to announce us as husband and wife. At short notice, Peter agreed to move our ceremony date due to forecast bad weather and we can’t thank him (or recommend him) enough. -

Peter is an amazing officiant! We’re so happy we found him. He was super helpful with planning the ceremony and writing the script months before the wedding, very open to our thoughts and ideas, and he brought us some great ideas/readings himself that we wound up using. Right before the ceremony, he spoke to us to help us relax and helped us rehearse. So many guests complimented Peter and the ceremony later on in the night. He’s a great speaker and a great person. + He helped us navigate anything we needed to do before the wedding to make it legal in New Jersey. -

Peter Boruchowitz was absolutely amazing as our wedding officiant. We originally hired Peter back in 2019, but when our wedding was postponed Peter was very helpful and understanding and gave us no trouble moving our date (twice). We met with Peter in person only once, and that was all it took to realize we wanted him to be the one to marry us. He was so friendly, accommodating and well spoken.
We finally got married in May 2022 and couldn’t be more thrilled with how it went. Peter worked with us to ensure the ceremony was personal and reflected our values. Our guests commented about how excellent Peter was, and like we had known him our whole life.

We have been extremely fortunate to have Peter be our officiant twice - the first time was when he was our virtual officiant for our online civil ceremony held via Zoom in October 2020, and the second time was when he traveled to Connecticut to preside over our symbolic ceremony in person in front of family and close friends in August 2021. Peter is an outstanding officiant and a wonderful person - his captivating presence, charm, humor, and quick wit allow him to fully command a room and set the stage for an incredible ceremony and memorable wedding for all. Our guests and wedding planner were so impressed by Peter’s passionate delivery of the ceremony with heartfelt, beautifully chosen words that they asked how we found Peter in the first place! We also appreciated how Peter kept things lighthearted and fun when the wind blew out the unity candle during our outdoor, waterfront ceremony by saying “Don’t worry - I can promise you this isn’t a sign of things to come!”. It is also important to note how responsive Peter is via email. He is detailed, efficient, and knowledgeable in each interaction throughout the ceremony-planning process. Being able to tap his expertise during a time of ever-changing marriage license procedures during the pandemic has also been incredibly helpful. Peter provided excellent recommendations for how to best structure our ceremony and patiently worked with us through multiple revisions of the ceremony draft. We could not have selected a more amazing, talented, and personable officiant for our special day and are recommending Peter to our family and friends for their future weddings! -

From the moment we had a Zoom meeting with him, we just knew that Peter was the right person to officiate our wedding. His warmth, charm and impeccable public speaking skills set him apart from the other officiants we were considering. We felt heard and respected by Peter and he took the time to re-work our ceremony draft until it included exactly what we wanted. On the day of our wedding, he was prompt, arriving earlier than expected so we had plenty of time to ask questions and sign our marriage license without rushing.
The ceremony exceeded our expectations, clearly Peter has a gift. Everyone was blown away by his warm yet commanding presence. He just has a way of putting everyone at ease and speaking so eloquently. Our close family was convinced we had known him for years! We truthfully cannot recommend him highly enough; he is a spectacular wedding officiant. -

The ONLY officiant you want to work with
There is so much to worry about the days leading up to your wedding. One thing I can confidently say was that our officiant was not one of those things. From day one of meeting Peter in NYC with my fiancé, now husband, we knew he was the only one we trusted with our big day.
After officially deciding to work with Peter we received a full outline of our ceremony, different options for prayers and his version of “our story”. We made small tweaks but overall Peter hit it out of the park. He even helped us in walking us through the wedding license process which was above and beyond.
The day of the wedding Peter was absolutely magical. Listening to his ceremony you would think he has been a life long friend of ours and was just as invested in our marriage as our family and friends. He was flawless to the point where our guest are still talking about his performance.
I could not have more great things to say about Peter. There are endless things that one can nitpick about their wedding after the fact but I can truly say I have zero complaints about his ceremony. If you are getting married look no further for your officiant as you have found him!

Peter was the perfect fit for our SURPRISE wedding.. After 17-years together; we decided to "tie the knot".. All guests thought they were attending a SURPRISE birthday party - we sure SURPRISED them. Peter was awesome!
Professional, impeccably dressed, well-spoken, amiable, cordial & a bit lighthearted too..
