Working with Carol (and her sister Carol!) was one of the most meaningful parts of my entire wedding journey. My destination wedding at the Royalton Riviera Cancun would not have been the same without them. The value was incredible — they worked within my budget, fought for the best rates, and made sure my guests had options they were comfortable with. Every penny felt like it went toward peace of mind.
But what truly set them apart was their heart. Their professionalism was perfection, but their attitude… that’s what changed everything for me. They were patient, warm, and supportive in a way that felt so personal. We talked almost every day, and now that the wedding is over, I genuinely miss our conversations. It felt like losing a little piece of my daily routine, because they weren’t just planning my trip — they were walking through the entire experience with me.
When negative reviews started coming out about the resort after I booked, I was overwhelmed and scared. Carol never let me spiral. She reassured me, kept me grounded, and reminded me that everything would work out. And she was right.
She handled every single guest, even the difficult ones, with unbelievable grace. She made me feel understood, taken care of, and never alone in the process.
Carol didn’t feel like a travel agent… she felt like a sister. And I will always be grateful for her. -

We interviewed a few different travel agents and from the moment I had a call with Carol, I knew they would be the best for my husband and I. Their team took care of our guest, took the guess work out of it all, and made sure the travel arrangements were taken care of (even some very last minute changes). They answered my 100 questions and it never felt as if I was bothering them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As I navigated planning my wedding, I searched social media and wedding websites to help find the best booking agency for my group. There were several agencies to choose from, but I always paid close attention to the reviews. Our Destination Weddings consistently had great reviews for their attentiveness and professionalism, which ultimately led me to choose them.
I started my journey with Our Destination Weddings about a year and a half before my April 2026 wedding. Initially, I had between 85 and 90 guests interested in attending, and from the very beginning, the process was easy and smooth. My booking agent and group coordinator was Carol, and she was absolutely amazing—helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable, and always available when I needed assistance.
Carol made the entire process seamless. She handled all the work, including creating a personalized website with a booking link that I could share with my guests. Because of her, I didn't have to worry about travel arrangements and could focus on planning my wedding.
Then came the devastating Jamaican storm of October 2025. Initially, the resort I had booked intended to remain open. However, about 30 days later, in November, they announced they would be closing for nearly a year—well beyond my wedding date. At that point, we were less than six months away from the wedding. I didn't want to move the wedding to another country, and there were very few alternative options available on the island.
Carol was incredible throughout this entire situation. She kept me levelheaded, and while I knew I wasn't her only client dealing with this challenge, she always made me feel like I was. Honestly, had it not been for Carol, I was so frustrated by the uncertainty surrounding the resort change that I may not have ended up having the reception I originally envisioned and wanted.
Within just two weeks, Carol and her team found a new resort and completely transferred my entire group. They handled all the legwork, secured the contracts with the new resort, and managed the details without placing any additional stress on me. It was definitely a stressful time, but without someone like Carol assisting me, I truly don't know what I would have done.
There were several times when I wanted to throw in the towel, but Carol was always there to encourage me to keep moving forward. She continually reassured me that my day would come, that it would be beautiful, and that everything we were going through would ultimately be worth it.
By the time everything was finalized, we had a total of 71 guests traveling to Jamaica. After the resort change, additional deposits were required that hadn't been part of the original plan. Even then, Carol and her team were incredibly accommodating. They worked with guests to create payment schedules that worked for everyone. Transportation was arranged, travel plans were finalized, and every detail was put into place. I truly didn't have to worry about a thing.
Traveling to Jamaica and getting to the resort was seamless. While there were a few issues during the trip itself, none of them had anything to do with Our Destination Weddings. They absolutely knocked it out of the park when it came to their responsibilities and support.
My wedding day was beautiful. Everyone had an amazing time, and everything went off without a hitch.
I would absolutely recommend Our Destination Weddings to anyone planning a destination wedding. The only unfortunate part is that you can't specifically request Carol and are instead assigned an agent. Not that I plan on doing this again, but if I ever did, I would choose Carol again without hesitation.
Carol is caring, encouraging, and full of great advice whenever difficult decisions need to be made. If you're planning a destination wedding and want a team that will advocate for you, handle the details, and help ensure everything is exactly the way you envision it, Our Destination Weddings is the company to use. -

When I decided to have a destination wedding, I had no idea where to start. I spoke with several different people, but Our Destination Wedding felt like the best fit.
I started with a consultation with Carol, and she was so helpful in answering all of my questions. She assisted with getting me connected to the resort when communication was difficult. After two weeks of trying to solidify a date, Carol was able to help secure it and get consistent communication moving.
From the room block, guest questions, travel concerns, and everything else that came up, Carol was always available to assist. I highly recommend their services. The customer service was amazing, and I have no complaints.
The website was easy for guests to use, and the booking process was seamless. I absolutely loved working with them and would use them all over again. Even when two rooms canceled the week before the wedding, they were a huge help with communicating with the resort and assisting us through the process.

Planning a destination wedding comes with a million moving parts and having them in our corner made such a difference throughout the entire process.
From helping us choose the PERFECT resort to assisting our guests with travel arrangements and questions along the way, they were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Choosing the right resort is such a huge decision for a destination wedding, and they absolutely guided us in the right direction, our wedding weekend was everything we dreamed of and more!
Our guests had an amazing experience, travel went smoothly, and everyone is STILL talking about how incredible the trip was (and asking when “part 2” is happening 😂).
Planning a destination wedding can be stressful at times, but Carol & Carolisa truly cared about making sure everything came together and that we had the best experience possible. We are so grateful for all of their help, guidance, patience, and hard work throughout this journey.

These ladies were great. We discussed what I wanted and the budget I wanted to stay within. They actually helped me narrow down the resorts and I picked the best I felt worked for my vision and budget. They were fast at responding to my emails and all of my questions. And even more helpful once my guest started booking their rooms and flights. They helped me keep up and track my guest count so that I didnt go over my budget. And they also kept me in the loop when I reached certain perks. Overall great experience. I was married in the DR May 2026. And although nothing went as planned it all went there way it was supposed to and I wouldn't change a thing. -

When I got engaged in July 2024, I knew I wanted our wedding to be outside of the US. When we decided to have it in Punta Cana, DR, I knew I would need as much help as possible when it came to travel. As a type A, I couldn't wrap my head around how much work needed to be done to ensure my guests knew everything necessary to book their trip & get to Punta Cana with little to no hiccups.
I was referred to ODW through Rachel, the wedding planner at Kukua Beach Club (the venue I booked). Upon our initial consultation, Carol was extremely knowledgeable & honest about expectations, and gave us a clear overview of the process.
Throughout the entire planning process, Carol & Carolisa were instrumental to keeping me at ease. They created the travel page for us, where guests could go to book their rooms. They also gathered flight information, payments, and sent reminders on everything related to travel, including airport transfers. They were able to accommodate changes guests made to their booking, and were responsive to many of our guests questions. When the wedding got closer, they sent email reminders about airport transfers & the required E-ticket. It was a HUGE weight off of my shoulders.
Although the resort they recommended didn't end up meeting our expectations, Carol made sure she understood my concerns. She helped facilitate communication between me and resort, and stepped in when necessary. She followed up with me even after the wedding and made sure I was still receiving support.
I wouldn't recommend ODW enough! Thanks to them, I truly had the best and smoothest time traveling to my wedding. -

Working with Carol and her team at Our Destination Wedding was truly instrumental in our destination wedding journey.
Although she was not our wedding planner, Carol was critical during the early stages, when we were trying to understand how to navigate the wedding process in Punta Cana. After visiting nearly 20 venues, the decisions and variables can become overwhelming. Carol brought clarity. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the region and helped us understand not just venues, but the broader wedding landscape — what to expect, what questions to ask, and how to evaluate our options thoughtfully.
What sets her apart is her heart. She was generous with her time, patient, and a genuinely good listener. She went beyond her formal scope to help us think through decisions at a stage when we needed guidance most. Her follow-up was consistent and organized, and she made us feel supported rather than pressured.
Her team also handled guest reservations and airport transportation for 132 guests traveling from the United States — no small undertaking. Coordinating a group of that size inevitably comes with minor hiccups, but everything was handled with grace and care. Communication was clear, and our guests felt well taken care of. The airport transportation ran smoothly and on time, setting a strong tone from the start.
Carol brings both competence and compassion to what she does. We are deeply grateful for her guidance and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone beginning the destination wedding process. -

We were recommended by Kukua Beach Club to work with Our Destination Weddings and we are so glad we did.
We interviewed a few travel planners, but ultimately chose to work with Carol and the ODW team because of how helpful and personable she was. As a former Punta Cana bride herself, she really understood our vision and needs and immediately put us at ease. What mattered most to us was making sure our guests were well taken care of, had a smooth experience, and received the best possible travel rates—and Carol made that happen.
She helped us explore multiple resort options and price points, and we ultimately went with Majestic Elegance, a resort we had a great experience with in the past. Carol was upfront in sharing that Majestic can be a bit tricky to work with when it comes to contracts and promos, but she still managed to lock in 50 rooms at tiered price points and negotiated a valuable concession that gave us credit back after a certain number of rooms were booked for three or more nights. We reached that goal, which felt like a big win.
Carol and her team were incredibly communicative. Every text, call, and email was answered the same day or within hours. Even during our stay, when one of our parents had a check-in issue, Carol stepped in immediately to contact both the resort and our parent to resolve it quickly. She truly went above and beyond.
ODW also coordinated transportation for over 90 of our guests traveling from different parts of the U.S., and everything went off without a hitch. Not a single transportation issue—just smooth arrivals for everyone. They also created a custom booking website with a low, refundable deposit, and sent timely reminders before final payments were due. When I asked to update the wording and swap out some photos to match our wedding website’s branding, they happily accommodated the changes.
If you want to feel truly heard, supported, and stress-free while planning your destination wedding and want your guests to feel just as taken care of, I highly recommend working with Our Destination Weddings. Carol and her team made a massive difference in our planning experience, and we are so grateful.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding
Working with Our Destination Weddings was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We primarily worked with Carol, but her sister Carolisa was equally a pleasure - together they make an incredible team. From the very first intro call, we felt at ease. Carol spoke from real experience, having planned her own destination wedding, and that insight showed every step of the way. Through Carol’s thorough research and strong industry connections, we felt fully confident choosing Dreams Macao Beach after reviewing a few other resort options. The way she broke everything down made the decision clear and easy.
Carol was also extremely responsive over email, always anticipating potential issues before they reached us. Our guests felt the same level of care - many shared how grateful they were to get their questions answered patiently and receive guidance through the process. A few guests needed to adjust their dates, and the team handled those changes quickly and without stress. The payment plans were a huge help for budgeting, and the custom wedding website they built made everything simple for our guests. What really stood out, though, was their consistency, kindness, and professionalism. Every interaction made it clear that they truly care about their couples and want the entire experience - from booking to travel to check-in - to be seamless.

I just wanted to share a huge thank you for the incredible job the team did coordinating our destination wedding. Everything — from the hotel accommodations to the airport transfers and the activity recommendations — was so well organized and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
The catamaran excursion they suggested ended up being a major highlight for everyone. We received so many compliments on it, and it truly was the perfect addition to our trip. Their recommendations really helped elevate the entire experience for us and our guests.
I also really appreciated how they made sure the hotel stayed responsive over email. That kind of communication is so important when planning a wedding abroad, and it gave me so much confidence throughout the process. Several of our guests even mentioned how impressed they were with how quickly and clearly the team communicated with them as well.
Planning a destination wedding can definitely feel overwhelming, but they made it manageable and enjoyable. Every recommendation delivered exactly what we were hoping for, and the entire trip came together exactly the way we imagined.
