Opal Sands and the entire staff will forever hold a special place in my husband’s and my hearts. We worked with Alexis Weisner for our wedding at Opal Sands, and she was absolutely the best. She was kind, detail-oriented, and so easy to work with, and truly helped make our wedding day beyond special. We wanted a space close to the beach and water, and Opal Sands’ lawn space was absolutely perfect. The food was top-notch and delicious, and our room for the weekend was gorgeous. It was the perfect space for getting ready, photos, and unwinding after all the celebrations. Beyond that, the Opal Sands team truly treated us like family and made sure every part of our stay, our wedding, and our guests’ experience was exceptional. We could not have made a better choice for our wedding venue. My husband and I cannot wait to come back and stay at Opal Sands again, hopefully making it a yearly tradition to remind ourselves of the perfect day we had at such a tremendous resort. -

My husband and I were looking for a venue that had the ability to host both our ceremony and reception outdoor with a guaranteed back up plan to account for Florida weather. After touring Opal Sands we immediately fell in love with the property and the options in the surrounding area. The events team was fantastic to work with. They helped answer any questions we had, created detailed plans for the event, and were amazing hosts for our entire stay. Food and alcohol package was a top priority for us and Opal Sands was willing to work with us and customize where needed for our guests. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend. -

We got married at the Opal Sands in November and we could not have asked for a better location and event planner. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, the food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and Sophia made everything seamless and perfect for us! Everything from the tasting she did for us, the planning of all the details, helping us get all of our stuff to the event room the day before, and the day of coordination was all perfect and made the day easy and enjoyable. -

Jenna was the absolute best!
Jenna was there with us every single step of the way throughout the whole planning process. She explained the financials thoroughly, was there on site for the rehearsal and ceremony/reception and was basically my guide to all things Opal sands during our planning process. She was there for our tasting and was SO supportive throughout the entire time of us knowing her. I would HIGHLY recommend Jenna and the Opal sands for a wedding venue. The venue was absolutely stunning, and anything I worried about they more than covered. We had the best wedding and the best day, and so much of that was because of the support we received throughout. Thank you to Jenna and the Opal sands for making our dream wedding come true! -

The Opal Sands team was wonderful. When my other venue had to cancel due to hurricane damage, Opal Sands went above and beyond to help us achieve our dream wedding in such a short turn around time. I had no idea where to start with my wedding planning but finding the perfect venue felt like navigating two worlds. I’m from Australia and my husband is from Clearwater, so when we discovered Alexis Weisner and the Opal Sands wedding team, it truly was a blessing amid the craziness of planning. From our very first meeting, Alexis greeted us with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for our vision. We toured several venues, but her personalized walk-through of Opal Sands immediately stood out: she understood our goal for elegance and class, and her passion for bringing our ideas to life made us confident we’d found the right place. One of the best things about the Opal Sands as a venue in my opinion is how high it is up from the beach. Unlike the other hotels that are beach facing the patio & ballroom are both high up enough that you cant really see anyone from the public beach and you just have these beautiful panoramic ocean views.
Fast forward to November 2025, our wedding day exceeded every expectation. The ceremony overlooking the Gulf was breathtaking, but what really had our guests buzzing afterward was the food!! each dish was beautifully presented, perfectly timed and had our guests raving. Between the stunning beach views and the attentive, accommodating staff, everyone felt utterly pampered. I was especially proud as so many of my family members had flown in from Australia & across the U.S. for our big day.
Throughout the entire planning process, Alexis was more than an event manager, she was our trusted partner. She anticipated needs we did not even know we had and added thoughtful touches that made our day uniquely ours. Her kindness, creativity, and impeccable organization put us at ease and allowed us to focus on celebrating with our loved ones.
If you are planning a wedding and want someone who will listen to your vision, support you at every step, and deliver an unforgettable experience, Alexis Weisner and the Opal Sands wedding team are exactly who you need!! When I say we hosted our DREAM WEDDING at Opal Sands Resort, I truly mean we could not have dreamt up a more PERFECT day! As soon as we toured the space, we knew it was the venue for us. The view? Incredible. The vibe? Immaculate. The End Result? Better than we could have ever imagined. We are beyond grateful for everything Jenna & the Opal Sands staff did to make us feel special on our Wedding Day & for the duration of our stay. My husband and I got married at the Opal this past May and we cannot express how amazing our entire experience was. The room was stunning, extremely clean, smelled amazing, we had an incredible view of the Gulf, and the bed was very comfortable. The hospitality from Opal staff was beyond 5 stars, especially from the Senior Event Manager Jenna. They took care of us for anything we asked for and ensured our stay was very pleasant. For our wedding...we couldn't have imagined anything more perfect. Married at sunset on the turf lawn with our reception later inside in the grand hall. The Opal staff ensured everything was on schedule and the flow of the whole wedding went smoothly. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible and the ambiance of the whole facility was everything we imagined and more. Opal made our wedding magical and unforgettable, and we are forever grateful for how they treated us for both our wedding and our stay. We will definitely be staying here again for leisure knowing how well they take care of their guests! If you are looking to get married here or just to plan a vacation, you will NOT be disappointed with your stay at Opal. By far, the best service, quality, hospitality and location (seconds walk from the beach) that we have ever stayed at for a hotel. Thank you Opal for everything! -

40th Anniversary
We started working with the staff at Opal Sands in 2023 for a party in 2024. We had several meetings with planners (Alexis and Jodi) to coordinate the plans for a party the way we wanted.
Food was excellent, rooms were great for our families (suites for the grandchildren), pool stuff was great the day after, wait staff was super efficient.
Our friends are still talking about the venue, the food and how much they enjoyed the evening.
We may do this again in 5 years - just because it was so much fun.
Plan ahead and budget! Enjoy the party!!! -

Opal Sands Resort was the PERFECT setting for our destination wedding. Planning a destination wedding can be daunting, but our experience with Opal Sands was exceptional from start to finish. After seeing the venue once over Zoom, we knew this was the perfect place to have our wedding and booked it without seeing it in person. The venue itself is perfect. The lawn where our ceremony took place is BEAUTIFUL, with an amazing background of the ocean. The staff was incredible! They were not only professional but also genuinely kind and attentive, making us feel like they were truly excited to be a part of our special day. Jenna, in particular, was a standout. She was instrumental in coordinating with our planner and ensuring that everything went smoothly. Jenna's responsiveness and calming presence were so appreciative, making us feel like family and easing any nerves we had.The food at cocktail hour and the reception was AMAZING. We received numerous compliments from our guests, many of whom told us it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. Jenna’s role in the planning process cannot be overstated. She was there every step of the way, from initial planning to the execution of every detail. Her constant communication and support were crucial in creating a stress-free experience. On the day of the wedding, everything was done exactly as we wanted, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our day. -

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Opal Sands Resort! We held our son's rehearsal dinner there followed by a welcome reception for all the wedding guests. We worked with Jenna as our event coordinator and couldn't have been happier with her professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness!!! She was AWESOME to work with! She truly made the entire experience go perfectly, there was not one flaw or glitch! She is a master at her job!!
The food at Opal Sands was AMAZING! So many of our guests commented on how delicious everything was, from dinner, to appetizers, to the decadent cupcakes, everything was wonderful!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue or team to work with than Opal Sands! My husband and I planned a destination wedding for 100+ with guests from around the world. From the moment we toured Opal Sands as a potential venue, Jenna made us feel so comfortable and we knew we were in the right hands! Every choice from then on went smoothly -- Jenna is responsive and knowledgeable and answered every question we had and more; she worked so seamlessly with our planner on every detail and helped us get our favorite bartenders from the beachside Sandbar to be part of our weekend! Our tasting with made us feel like royalty and our guests are still raving about the food to this day! On our wedding day it was extremely windy -- we made the call to move our oceanside ceremony into the backup space, the upstairs lobby of Opal Sands, knowing that there was a plan in place and it would still be beautiful. Our team at Opal and everyone behind the scenes made the transition seamlessly and gorgeously! The suite we stayed in was incredible and the perfect place to relax, host, and get ready! You literally cannot beat Opal's pool/beach bar scene, it was the most amazing spot to relax before and after the wedding. We will be coming back to Opal Sands for years to come on anniversary trips and would recommend booking here for anyone who loves Clearwater Beach, ocean views, and unparalleled service! -

Exceptional
From the moment we booked, Jenna was exceptional, making my daughter’s wedding planning fun instead of stressful. After reading so many great reviews and seeing the beautiful pictures, we had high expectations, but even so were blown away when the big day came. The ceremony was breathtaking and the sea salon stunning at sunset. Guests were raving about the food during the cocktail hour and I was thinking “ just wait until you sit down for dinner.” The reception went smoothly and was so much fun- we all just enjoyed every minute and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. I can’t say enough good things about Jenna, the Opal Sands, and all of the staff. -

Best venue & staff ever
There’s not words to express how amazing and unreal not only Opal is, but specifically Jenna (events) and Karen (catering) both are. Not only are they both the most genuine, and kind individuals.. they are absolutely PHENOMENAL at their jobs!! They made everything seamless as they both are extremely detailed oriented, organized, and perfectionists. They are on top of everything and are both truly amazing. We couldn’t have had the wedding we did without them and I highly highly recommend Opal for this reason!! -

Beautiful Beach Wedding Venue!
Opal Sands is a phenomenal wedding venue on Clearwater Beach. The hotel and beach are absolutely beautiful, and the sunset views from the event lawn completely sold us. We loved that we were able to have a beach wedding, without the sand. There were literally dolphins swimming by while we said our vows. The ballroom has beautiful lighting with high ceilings and doesn't have the same conference center feel of other hotels. We met with the chef and banquet manager during the food tasting, and we could tell the entire staff was invested in making our big day a success. All of our guests loved the food (especially the lobster mac and cheese appetizer). We booked Opal Sands a year and a half out from our wedding, and Jenna was amazing to work with the entire time. She is very responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. They were very accommodating of specific dietary restrictions and were very on top of it. Thank you to Opal Sands and Jenna for helping make our wedding perfect! -

Could not have been more perfect! Forever grateful
We could not have had a better experience with Jenna Arnal and all the members of the Opal Sands community! We began planning our vow renewal/wedding celebration in August 2022 and hosted at Opal in July 2023. One of us is serving on active-duty and we're stationed in Texas, so we were very concerned about planning an out-of-state wedding. We had a list of 50+ questions for our venue when we began our search, and Jenna could not have been more kind or more helpful. She answered EVERY one of our questions thoroughly and without judgment, and helped us feel confident about long-distance planning. We did a tour with Jenna over zoom, and knew this was the right place for us. One of us grew up in Tampa, so we'd visited Opal in years prior with family, had dinner in the restaurant, and walked the beach, so we didn't feel the need to tour in person. We ended up with ~120 guests attending and chose an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, outdoor cocktail hour on the lawn, and had the reception in the Sea & Sun ballroom. Every bit of it was perfect. Many of our guests had dietary restrictions or severe allergies, and our biggest worry with in-house food service had been ensuring allergies could be accommodated. Our guests with allergies were escorted through the buffet and their escort knew what was safe for them and what wasn't. This was so far above and beyond anything we could have expected, and we're profoundly grateful to Opal and all their staff for giving such personal attention. The facilities were all clean and beautiful, our suite was flawless, and Opal is extremely well prepared to handle any eventuality, from weather to changing headcounts. As soon as we booked, we received three detailed brochures with all the information we needed, and Jenna was always quick to respond to any additional questions. We felt so safe and cared for during such a stressful time and we could not be more grateful. Book them immediately! -

My husband and I toured a few venues and as soon as we stepped foot in Opal Sands, we were sold! The venue is absolutely stunning and as a Tampa native, in my opinion, one of the best on Clearwater beach as far as scenery, food, and service. As you probably already know (based off of the multiple reviews), Jenna truly is the best part of having your wedding there. She is SO responsive in her emails and sometimes gets back to you within minutes if she’s at her desk. If not, she always has an automatic email to explain when you can expect a return email if she is out of office.
As far as what to expect from this venue, we had our tasting approx 4 months before our wedding day. The tasting was incredible! It was such a personalized experience in Seaguini’s private dining room and the chef even came out to introduce himself. I planned my wedding around similar times as friends and this is a completely different experience that we received compared to other venues.
A huge plus for Opal Sands is also their chef. Everything we had at our wedding was absolutely delicious and we received MULTIPLE MULTIPLE comments about it. We had gyros, beef crostini, blueberry jam toasted brioche, bacon wrapped scallops, fried truffle Mac and cheese balls AND a full raw bar filled with oysters, crab claws, shrimp cocktail, and ceviche. Our cocktail hour was insane (from what we were told-we could barely be at it) we got super lucky and the weather was gorgeous on our wedding day with a beautiful sunset as cocktail hour was going on.
During the ceremony, we had the duo plate of filet mignon and halibut with scalloped potatoes and broccolini. We chose the cauliflower steak as our vegetarian option as we also had some vegans attending. The cauliflower steak was actually recommended to us vs a different vegetarian option and I’m glad we chose this because we got so many comments from our vegetarians about how it was the best meal they have had
Everything ran so smoothly and my husband and I stayed in the bridal suite for 6 nights as they offer it at a discounted rate. Almost every valet, bellmen, and front desk staff were aware it was our wedding weekend and made a point to always congratulate us. We cannot recommend Opal Sands enough! Thank you SO much to Jenna and her team. You guys are truly the best!

Can't recommend enough!
If you're thinking about booking with the Opal Sands for your wedding, do yourself a favor and just do it! Everything about my experience was a 1000/10. If you're looking for a place with stunning views, the best wedding food you & your guests will ever have, and all around amazing vibes then this is the perfect place! From the day we toured to our wedding day, Jenna and her team were BEYOND amazing. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the team at the Opal. Jenna's communication, attention to detail, assistance, and hard work are seriously unbeatable!! We have received nothing but great compliments from our guests who stayed at the Opal and those we didn't about the service, food, accommodations, and views. I honestly cannot recommend the Opal enough!! If I could relive my wedding I would book at the Opal 100x's again. My husband and I will definitely be back for a getaway!

We LOVED our wedding reception on the event lawn at Opal Sands! The evening weather was perfect in late October, and we had a beautiful backdrop of the gulf and sunset during our pictures, dinner, and first dance. Jenna was our site coordinator, and she was fantastic! She is knowledgeable, professional, great with email/phone/in-person communication, flexible, and a joy to work with. We cannot say enough about Jenna's expertise! The catering service also was flexible with our menu changes, and we received many positive comments about the food throughout the night. We loved the entire team and venue! -

This venue was AMAZING! I mean look at the pictures and the views! I wanted a beach wedding but didn’t really want the sand and Opal is absolutely perfect. Jenna and Alexis are the venue coordinators, and were amazing, so nice, communicative, and went out of their way to make it perfect. They answered every question, and my day was flawless. We have gotten so many compliments on the food (which was to die for) and the venue itself. I highly recommend this venue for both how beautiful it is and how amazing the staff is! -

Fantastic venue and the best place for a wedding
Opal Sands Resort was an excellent place for our wedding. Jenna made the entire process seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend her and her staff. The vendors involved such as Anna with Breezin, Heather By the Bay Florist, and Cory Baron DJ were excellent to work with as well. The entire weekend was just wonderful. -

Opal Sands was PERFECT!
We were between a couple different venues/resorts on Clearwater beach and once we visited Opal Sands we new we found the one. We loved the lawn where we had our ceremony and the breathtaking views that made the ocean your backdrop. The reception area was also a huge selling point with the floor to ceiling windows that really showed off the view.
We loved the food options they offered as well and when we tried the appetizers and entrees at our tasting we were blown away. Everything was perfect and tasted great. We received so many compliments on the apps at cocktail hour and the entrees at the reception. We liked both entrees so much that my husband and I both did steak and grouper for our meals.
We also can’t thank Jenna and her staff enough for the amazing job they did. We had an amazing wedding and reception, but also an amazing weekend overall. Jenna was an absolute pleasure to work with and we loved having her help us with our big day! She played an intricate part to our weekend and she did a fantastic job of assisting us with everything at Opal sands. Jenna alone is reason enough to have your wedding at Opal sands! -

I booked Opal Sands as my wedding venue one year prior to our wedding date -- via a Facetime call with Jenna! That alone, should tell you how absolutely gorgeous this venue space is! I booked the venue, without physically seeing it in person. Searching for a venue during the COVID 19 pandemic was challenging, especially since my husband and I had a destination wedding. Jenna was extremely accommodating, professional, and friendly as the event manager. She and my planner Victoria from Royal Events and Services made the perfect dream team for my wedding. I was a extremely meticulous bride who curated vision boards and slide decks for my wedding to ensure all of my ideas were executed. I waited the pandemic out to ensure I could have the wedding I wanted, without fear of spreading COVID to family and friends. Having a planner and an event manager that sees and understand your vision is so imperative. I visited Opal Sands for a planning trip in August 2022, our tasting in January 2023, and finally for our wedding on April 29, 2023. Each time I visited, I had a blast! Jenna always made sure I was taken care of, and let everyone know I was one of her brides. The staff at this resort is extremely friendly--and don't get me started on our friends at the Sand Bar! I love Opal Sands so much, and I truly wish we could relive our wedding day all over again. It's been two weeks, and I am still on cloud 9. I am convinced that no other resort or venue space at Clearwater Beach could provide a better wedding experience. Our food was amazing, plated beautifully, and our guests could not stop talking how lovely everything was. For us, aesthetics, wedding experiences, and good food was vital. Countless guests mentioned that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they've ever experienced! Our wedding was scheduled to take place outdoors, but it rained on wedding day. Needless to say, Jenna, her team, and Royal Events Services worked diligently together with all of our vendors to curate a contingency plan and make sure our wedding day ran smoothly. The back-up venue space is absolutely gorgeous, and one of the reasons I booked Opal Sands. I knew rain or shine, our wedding day would still be perfect! None of our guests could even tell the difference! Our wedding was organized and aesthetically pleasing to the eye--so much so, that our wedding went viral on Instagram! #FortYouIWill
Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Opal Sands to other clients interested in floral and planning services. A business can only be as successful as it's staff and the customer service they provide. Opal Sands clearly has mastered this concept! I cannot wait to come back and visit next time I'm in the area for leisure activities. -

With every wedding you expect the food to be subpar, but not at this place. Every dish that we had was cooked to perfection. The venue itself? Beautiful. Nothing can beat a ballroom overlooking the ocean. We've been married for almost two years and we're STILL getting compliments about our wedding. Opal sands set the standard for wedding food and let me tell you: it's worth getting married here. -

Where to even start! Jenna and the whole staff at Opal Sands made the entire wedding planning process SO easy and straightforward. It’s easy to become overwhelmed with everything on the never ending wedding planning to do list, but Jenna was so responsive and so so helpful. We absolutely LOVED how gorgeous Opal Sands is and it truly felt so magical the entire wedding weekend. The bridal suite was absolutely unreal, and the most beautiful and perfect setting for getting ready and then waking up for the first time as husband and wife. The views were incredible, and every single room was so lovely and nice. Our guests raved about the food and how amazing the bartenders were. The venue was also perfect for the dance floor to be busy all night!! Our wedding at Opal Sands felt like being in the most beautiful beach paradise and was the perfect level of elegance. We had an amazing experience. Partnering with Jenna Arnal and Opal Sands Resort was the best decision we could have made to celebrate our wedding. The hotel and our wedding suite were so breathtakingly beautiful. We had about 130 people attend our wedding and it was more marvelous than I could have imagined. From every small detail at our rehearsal lunch to the splendid wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We even added an additional hour to our reception which made it the perfect length of time to fully enjoy our night. The level of service was phenomenal and our wedding day was incredible! I keep thinking back on that day and how everything was so perfect! Chef Paul McMcorris cooked an impressive dinner for us and the entire Opal team made everything so memorable. We feel so blessed to have found this venue for our wedding and highly recommend them. There is nothing I would change and we are left with gorgeous pictures and a spectacular video to relish that day over and over again!

Don't look any further, QUALITY right here!!
This is by far the best wedding venue in Tampa. I visited a few locations and none compares to Opal in regards to the quality of the resort, the views and best of all the SERVICE. The staff is absolutely fantastic. The event manager Jenna was the best. She is very pleasant, organized and accommodates every need. My advise is hire the vendors from the list they provide you because these are people they have worked with many times and can guarantee reliability. The food was amazing, I mean the best. Picturesque wedding, even through a hurricane!
Absolutely amazing experience! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Every single staff member/employee at Opal worked to make this the most amazing day of our lives. The weeks and months (and years) leading up to our big day were flawlessly easy and enjoyable. Having a wedding in Clearwater? You HAVE to do it at Opal Sands!
I'm so jealous of anyone having their future wedding here. It's the same way I feel when someone tells me they've never read Harry Potter or watched Game of Thrones: you have no idea how lucky you are!
From the moment we toured Opal Sands Resort with their event manager, Jenna, we knew we were going to book our wedding weekend there.
Jenna and her team went above and beyond with their efforts and flexibility all weekend. From allowing us to keep Sandbar open late for a welcome party to their flexibility with the F&B minimum and what was included. If I had an idea, I'd email Jenna and her response was always some form of "let's make it happen!" I loved her energy, her love of her job and her genuine desire to make her brides, grooms and their families so happy. She succeeded!
The venue's beauty and location speaks for itself. About half of our 200+ guests came from Kansas City and are now obsessed with Opal Sands. We are actually planning a wedding weekend reunion there in the next 3 years. Everyone is obsessed.
The FOOD. Omg. It was incredible and people LOVED their meals. The raw bar at cocktail hour was also a huge hit. I recommend springing for the martini bar as it was well-used and kept the people buzzin' during the reception! -

Amazing Venue
We fell in love with Opal Sands the moment we stepped foot on the property. It them seemed meant to be when our preferred date had opened up just a week prior due to a cancellation. Jenna Arnal was an amazing catering sales professional and liaison for the property. Jenna is extremely knowledgeable, detail oriented, and has an infectious positive personality. She took care of us from start to finish and was very gracious in helping us customize our wedding reception for our family and guests. If you are considering this venue.. look no further!!! Just book it!!!! There isn't enough great things to stay about this hotel, staff and event team! There is a lot that did not go exactly as planned on our wedding day due to windy weather - BUT how Opal Sands elegantly handled the last minute location change for ceremony / cocktail hour was truly incredible! As a bride you want everything to go exactly as planned, but what you don't always account for are the very very last minute curve balls. Jenna and the entire Opal Sands team truly made our wedding day perfect even with the curve balls thrown their way. When we first viewed Opal for our wedding, we knew after speaking with Jenna, that she was the person we wanted to work with. Not everyone is made for hospitality, but Jenna is truly amazing at what she does. She went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so memorable. The amazing food, service, and views was all our guests raved about. The entire Opal Sands staff treated my family and friends like royalty allll weekend long. More than we could've hope for!!!
Our wedding experience at Opal Sands was top to bottom amazing. Planning the wedding from out of state, Jenna was an all-star to work with. She helped us in every aspect and made what seemed like a difficult task, an absolute breeze. Everyone at the Opal Sands was incredible to work with. JENNA is my first word for our experience. I could not have asked for a nicer more professional person to assist me with the planning of our daughter’s wedding. Our guests are still raving about the dinner, the cocktail hour and raw bar, the bar service, the beautiful ballroom, and the stellar service by your staff at the Opal. Many have gone so far to say that the food was the best wedding food they have ever had--and our guests have been to plenty of weddings!
As bride and groom we couldn’t be more satisfied and happy with how things turned out. We feel grateful that we chose the Opal as our destination spot to celebrate this happy occasion. It was truly everything we hoped it would be. Jenna you’re a rockstar!!

Jenna and the Opal Sands team were AMAZING! Jenna was so helpful and answered all my questions right away. She kept us informed at all times and made everything extremely easy to plan. She provided vendors she recommended which made us easy for us to chose since we live out of town and weren’t familiar with anyone. We had a weather issue the day and the wedding and she made sure everything was beautiful for having to move the ceremony last minute. I wish I could do it all again! Jenna was beyond AMAZING! She is outstanding at what she does. She handled every detail of our planning and wedding day with professionalism and care. She made the entire experience easy and fun. The venue is gorgeous. We chose the outdoor lawn terrace for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the Sea Salon ballroom for our reception. The food was outstanding. Our guests still rave about how delicious it all was. From our tasting to the day of, everything they served was delicious. We had so many great options to choose from., you can’t go wrong! The vendors Opal works with we’re ALL top notch as well. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day at a beautiful resort. We cannot thank Jenna and everyone at Opal Sands enough.

Opal Sands was AMAZING!!! From the moment we met Jenna during our tour, I knew she would be great to work with. She worked with us to create a perfect package, was always there to help me answer any questions and treated us like we were the only wedding she was working with. I wanted to be by the water, but not on the beach and you cannot get better than the event lawn! It was perfect for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Jenna and her team along with my awesome vendors turned the Opal Ballroom into my dream, it was stunning. The food was so good and all our guests said they finished all of it. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and you can’t beat the fact that every room has an ocean view. 2/27/22 was the most perfect day ever. There are many hotels to get married in Clearwater Beach- but Opal Sands takes the cake and I cannot recommend them enough! -

Highly recommend Opal Sands! The venue itself, is beautiful, modern, clean, and just beachy enough. Having our wedding at Opal Sands was truly a dream come true. My husband and I are avid boaters and we wanted to have our wedding on the water. Opal Sands is such a beautiful resort and the minute we had our tour with Jenna … it was a given that this is where we would get married. We had the best communication with her and every single one of our questions was answered quickly and thoroughly, and if there were any issues, Jenna and her team were there to fix them immediately. A great bonus was that the Opal is dog friendly and we were so happy to have our dog stay with us all weekend! I am not even sure of where to begin! Opal sands is such a beautiful hotel. The decor, the rooms, the staff, everything! We decided to choose Opal Sand for our big day , simply because the venue was beautiful! Floor to ceiling windows, a beautiful event lawn to host a ceremony or reception- how could you go wrong?! At first, it was a little nerve wracking planning our wedding all the way from chicago- but let me tell you, Jenna made everything a BREEZE for us. She is amazing! Very responsive to emails (got back to you within the same day), answered all our questions, and helped every step of the way! Due to being out of state, we were not able to do a food tasting... Jenna made some awesome food choice selections for us (we were in the dark and nervous in general), but the food was OUTSTANDING. Every guest couldn’t help but compliment the food, said it was the best they ever had a wedding. Even the food was displayed so elegantly! Everyone was so impressed! I am so happy with how everything turned out. We love Opal sands and the entire team! They went above and beyond for us ! Thank you so much for making our day so special! Amazing views. Professional staff. Jenna, our contact, was the absolute best. From the time we came to see the venue, she was extremely responsive and always willing to work with us. She answered every question and was very detail oriented. If you wanted to make a change to the menu, or needed something special for your day, she worked hard to accommodate. She made sure to accommodate a severe food allergy in our party. We also got a lot of compliments on the delicious food and the presentation. She worked flawlessly with my wedding planner and other vendors so the day went perfectly without a hitch. The wedding suite is big and was a great place to get ready. They also offer a gorgeous balcony on the water for photos and provide a great view to wake up to. HIGHLY recommend. -

Spectacular Venue!
My husband and I are originally from the Tampa area, however we currently live out of state and were trying to plan our wedding long distance in the midst of COVID. Jenna and her team at Opal Sands were so thoughtful and helpful throughout the entire process! Our final guest count was much smaller than we anticipated with COVID, but Jenna helped us figure out how to supplement with extra appetizers and beverage options! Our guests loved every minute of our wedding. The views are amazing, the food is remarkable, and the resort is so well kept. We cannot imagine choosing another venue to celebrate our big day! -

It was truly a pleasure working with Jenna (catering sales manager) at the Opal Sands! She is efficient and eager to help with ANY request! In fact, we were very impressed with the service and “can do” attitude of all of the Opal employees. Joshua (bellman), Nick (pool bartender), Lacy (housekeeping) were all so helpful and sweet! Many whose name I didn’t catch went out of their way for us as well. Thank you ALL for making my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding weekend a magical event!

RUN. Book your wedding at the Opal Sands Resorts. Back in June of 2020 we toured the Opal Sands hotel for our wedding and decided to spend the night to ensure we loved the experience for our guests. After spending the night, it was a no brainer to sign the contract. Fast-forward to July 17, 2021, we were completely blown away by our wedding experience with the Opal Sands hotel + staff . Even leading up to our wedding, the team was accommodating beyond belief.
Aside from the beauty of the hotel which is nestled up against the ocean + near every fun spot in town, you will be swept off your feet by the terrific service. It is not just one element of the hotel experience that is fantastic but it is every touch-point. From the valet staff, Housekeeping staff , Check-in staff, pool staff and banquet staff….everyone is outstanding. I have never stayed at a resort where each of the departments where easy to work with and provided 5-star service.
As for our wedding weekend, all the events took place at the resort (Rehearsal, Ceremony, Reception, Good-bye Breakfast) and all I can say is it was perfect. Our guest raved about the food at each event and the staff was the most accommodating. One guest said “ hotel food is usually not that good, but this is different. The best food we have been served at ta hotel”.
I truly could go on forever about how wonderful the Opal Sands Hotel and Staff are. You will not regret booking your wedding there and having your guests stay there. Thank you Opal Sands for the most incredible wedding weekend. We are forever indebted to you! -

From the moment we entered the Opal, we knew that it was the one. We had taken several tours of venues by that point but there was something special about this one. This resort takes a modern twist on the beach, with high class amenities and the perfect location in the heart of Clearwater beach, especially for all of our relatives who were traveling from up north. The food options were delicious and the customer care was was excellent. Each room was impressive by design and comfort, and the suite offered to us as bride and groom truly made us feel like royalty. Jenna was so much more then a catering manager, being flexible, attentive, and helping to answer ALL of my questions in a timely manner and directing me to who would have an answer when she did not. She worked wonderfully with coordinating my numerous vendors and made me feel like she was personally invested in our special day. Plus, the vendor list provided did not lead us astray and was greatly appreciated as an out of town couple. The event lawn was perfect for our ceremony, overlooking the ocean, and the cocktail hour on the second floor of the lobby with the Sea Salon for the reception all offered unforgettable views with floor to ceiling glass walls facing the water. We also continue to receive compliments on the catering options at the cocktail hour and reception. The Opal was very accommodating and gave us the wedding experience we always dreamed of and more. We couldn’t have imagined having our event anywhere else and we will certainly be back for future celebrations to enjoy it and reminisce for years to come. -

Hosting our wedding at Opal Sands was an absolute dream come true. Jenna, our catering sales manager, was there to promptly answer questions and put any doubts to rest (amidst COVID-19) starting roughly 1 year prior to our event. She is well-connected with local vendors and coordinators, extremely organized, flexible, considerate, and highly personable. The wedding day itself was absolutely seamless and beautiful. Our guests had nothing but fabulous things to say about the ceremony, happy hour, reception hall, FOOD, open bar, pool, personal rooms, etc etc. With the help of our third-party wedding coordinator services, the day was seamless. They took care of things while I soaked it all in. For a day, there was no pandemic to worry about -- just the best day of my life enjoyed with family and friends. The best experience and the best day of our life. I would do absolutely nothing different. I wish i could express how easy, fun and perfect this process was because of Opal and their staff. Jenna is truly the most amazing and kind human being and made every dream i had, come to life and with such ease. She was so professional but personable and became like family through the process. Every single question i had, was answered in depth so quickly. Making sure we were comfortable and so happy every step of the way, and that we didn’t have to worry about a thing! We felt like celebrities. Every vision i had, they brought to life and it made the most gorgeous day and wedding. The food was absolutely incredible. We had multiple guests call us the next day saying they can’t get over the food. The most kind and accommodating staff in general. Every single guest came up to us and said how amazing the staff was to front desk, to bell hops, to room service - everyone.
