Amazing Dresses and LGBTQ Friendly

I had such a great experience at Off White! They had so many unique beautiful dresses that I hadn't seen at other bridal shops. One of the most important requirements I had for my dress was that it be a shade of blush. Other stores I had been to had very limited options of blush dresses and the ones they had looked nude and not blush. Off White had just what I was looking for. I tried so many dresses on and loved so many of them, which was the opposite problem I had at other bridal stores.

Julie helped me and I cannot speak of her highly enough. She was the best! Not only did she help me find my perfect dress, but she helped my fiancé find hers! It was so nice to have someone that could say our dresses looked great together, since we won't see each others until the wedding.

Off White provided a memorable and fun experience and I can't recommend them enough!

Staff was very helpful, friendly and made shopping fun and exciting. I didn't personally try any dresses on, but as someone here helping pick out a dress for the bride it was made really fun by the environment alone.

I loved my experience at Off White! I went in not really knowing what I wanted but with my consultant's help, I ended up finding the most amazing wedding dress at a very reasonable dress. For the first time ever, I felt like a princess and lit up the moment I saw myself in the mirror. There are so many options- I had to go through multiple rounds of looking through dresses and I tried on so.many.dresses because the selection was AWESOME! And very well organized which really does help when moving heavy dresses back and forth!

I feel so horrible that I forgot my consultant's name but my appointment occurred the afternoon 9/22. She was on.top.of.things. She provided such insight which was great for someone who just could not figure out what she wanted! She kept going back and forth to find dresses for me to try on as my search narrowed. We talked about so much more than wedding dresses. I was happy to have someone friendly and genuinely interested in my life and big day.

And the best part was finding my dress at an amazing price. If you haven't gone here to search for your dress, then definitely add it to your list! It was a very private atmosphere; for the majority of my appointment I had the entire studio to myself.

After going to 3 other shops I found my dream dress at Off White! The whole experience was wonderful - they have their dresses out of the bags so it's easy to look through the samples to try on. They have a comfortable seating area for your entourage and are so accommodating! Thank you!!

My daughter had previously tried on a gown at a consignment shop(as we are from Michigan) and fell in love. She had found her dress but when looking at the price tag I realized it was out of our price range and we were both heart broken. I stumbled across off white by Bridal expressions and was shocked to see that they had the dress and the price was almost half of what it would have cost us at the consignment store. I called and spoke with Julie and was ecstatic with her willingness to not only listen to our story but to actually take pictures of the dress and text them to me immediately. Her customer service went way above and beyond any experience I have ever had with any business. Shayli and Fio were both so efficient and sweet. They made this bridesmaid experience for us easy and fun. All three of my bridesmaids found their dresses within an hour and a half, after trying on several. They have a huge selection and their customer service was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Bridal Expressions was amazing from start to finish!

It was a breath of fresh air to walking into a bridal shop without having to make an appointment and not be treated as an irritation for not having one. Since the staff does not work on commission, there was absolutely no pressure and everything felt really sincere. It was refreshing and enjoyable to shop here. Additionally, they have a great selection of dresses!

They were still very easy going when I returned to the shop two more times to try on the dress, before purchasing. Again no pressure and very comfortable.

Not only were they a pleasure to work with. They really went above and beyond. They replaced my dress after a seamstress they recommended botched the hem. They did not have to stand behind an outside vendors work. It was amazing. They had me come in right away and fit the problem - calmly and professional. Such an load off my mind!

They were spectacular to work with, I cannot say enough about this store and their fantastic managerial staff. As a side note, the dress was a hit!

They had my dress for thousands of dollars cheaper than the store I found it in in Dallas and definitely cheaper than the store her in NY. It is the exact same dress, exact same, not a knockoff. Unbelieveable what the markup on wedding dresses is. I've been telling al my friends who are newly engaged about your business. Thank you for being so affordable you allowed us to get the lighting we wanted.

People always say you will know your dress when you see it. That's exactly how I felt when I saw my gown hanging in the store window of Bridal Expressions. The staff were very helpful during fittings and very accommodating when I was indecisive on my pair of shoes. I brought in multiple pairs and walked the store until I picked "the" pair. The dress was hemmed, cleaned and pressed on the stated day one week before my wedding. I highly recommend Bridal Expressions when shopping for a wedding gown.

I am so thrilled to have worn a dress so beautiful for such a great price. I HIGHLY recommend that all rent their dresses. Bridal Expressions was a great company; I'll definitely use them again the next time I have a big event to dress for. I even used their beautiful jewelry and they were so sweet that they helped me pick everything out and oohed and aahed over me like they would in a fancy dress shop. My wedding photos look like I spent thousands instead of hundreds. Highly recommended!

The store had many beautiful modest wedding dresses to pick from. The staff was very kind and helpful in helping pick and try on the dresses. The dress I picked was my dream dress and it was so beautiful. They were able to work around my tight schedule and have my dress altered in time for my bridal pictures. I was a little nervous how my dress would look once altered because it had a lot of beadwork and lace, but it turned out perfectly. I am very happy with this vendor.

What a beautiful selection of modest gowns that are stylish and individual. My dress was perfect for me and I had all the attention I needed when selecting a gown and veil. They stored and cleaned it for me twice in between photo sessions and wedding.

Bridal Expressions was efficient, timely, and had great consultants to give me ideas and suggestions. I loved my dress- though it was on the pricey side (For a Utah dress vendor...) Alterations were always done exactly when they said they would be, and the shop allowed me to store my dress there until right before my wedding- which was awesome since I was living in a small apartment. My dress looked gorgeous after being steamed and prepared for the wedding day. I was EXTREMELY happy with this vendor.

I got my bridal gown from Off White – Bridal Expressions. The ladies there were very helpful in finding the perfect dress, explaining alterations, communicating with me on order and shipping times, and even rushed my dress to get cleaned and pressed before the big day since it had gotten very dirty during a formal photo shoot. My only hiccup was that I originally wanted to add straps to the dress I bought there, and in the shop it sounded like that would be an easy thing to do. They would order extra lace and I’d work with a seamstress to make the straps. In the end it wasn’t that easy to add straps and I went without them, but I think that was more my ignorance of fashion and dress construction then an error on the part of the bridal shop. Overall, it was a great experience shopping there and I highly recommend them.

My dress was perfect. The people who helped me find it were great. There was a mix up with the seamstress making the alterations.

But the dress I loed was on sale... only $375!! I looked into renting, but this dress was so much better suited to me, and about the same price as renting. They had tons of dresses to choose from, all Temple ready. It was a great shopping experience.

In the end I was very happy and my dress was perfect!

I would like to preface this review with I started looking for a dress at the height of the Covid pandemic and much of the problems that I had with my dress was out of their control!

OffWhite was the very first shop that I went to and I walked out of there feeling elated, confident and ready to find my perfect dress. I went to a few other bridal shops and not even one made me feel as special or comfortable as they did. In addition to the experience, no one could compete with the quality and beautiful gowns that OffWhite has! Their unique business model of having more than 30 dresses to choose from and the ability to pick and choose any aspect of any dress to make a fully customized dress of your own is quite frankly brilliant! With the help of the ever-attentive, vivacious, and knowledgeable Julie, I was able to find the dress that made me feel like a bride and choose the customizations that would make it mine and only mine!

I finalized and paid for my dress in the end of November and was told that it would be about 16 weeks. Around the time that it was for it to be done, Julie called me to tell me that due to Covid, things were slow, and my dress should be along shortly. After a very stressful couple of months and a lot of phone calls, some that went unanswered, my dress arrived. It arrived exactly one week before my wedding and with none of the customizations that I had ordered. I was completely panicked and told them. Julie said that they had a mockup that they make for every dress with all the customizations that I had asked for and have every bride sign it. She showed it to me and said that it had my signature, but it was not my signature. I was crushed and so stressed. Julie was so confused and said that this had never happened. She immediately FaceTimed the store manager, who also happens to be the designer of all the dresses. They apologized profusely and said that they would be doing a full investigation to find out what had happened. The manager was very nice and said she was going to work day and night to do the alterations herself. She turned it around in less that 72 hours and the result was perfect. It fit be beautifully and I was very happy. They also gave me my veil for free to make up for it.

All in all it was a stressful experience, much of the stress not being the store’s fault, however, I’m thrilled with how my dress turned out and it was worth it in the end!

Finally I got my wedding gown! I went to Bridal Expressions base on my sister recommendation. She bought her wedding gown here and she suggested me to do the same thing. They have great wedding gowns selection. Their prices range were also affordable. I picked up one wedding gown and to my surprise, they sent my gown within 15 days. Wow, that was so fast! And when I open the package, I felt in love with the gown at the first sight. My gown was more than attractive, it was elegant! Thanks Bridal Expressions, you just saved time and $$$ for me!!

I chose to shop for my dress at Bridal Expressions solely for the designers and dresses they carried. I undoubtedly love my dress and appreciated the assistance I received from the associates in the store. At times, it was difficult to get assistance from them, but they were always willing to help.

My concerns came after we purchased the dress. As they do not do alterations in house, the clerk talked with us to explain that alterations would be easier than they appeared based off of the design of the dress. They also gave us a list of recommended places for alterations. We followed their recommendations and we're appalled. We were told the changes would be hundreds of dollars and the recommended place was rude and not knowledgeable.

Bottom line: beautiful gowns, good quality. Not the cheapest, but worth it. Prepare for sub-par service (this isn't David's Bridal). And do your own research because the associates don't know what they are talking about -- especially with any alterations.

I loved my dress but once I ordered it, it was going to take about 3 months to make it and ship it, then they ended up losing it somehow during shipping so they had to make another one and send it. Overall it took about 6 months to get my dress. It was a good thing I had ordered it so far in advance of my wedding otherwise I would have been freaking out! Another thing is they didn't have an onsite tailor so that was a little inconvenient. The names of tailors they gave me were all outside of Salt Lake so I ended up having to find my own. Other than that they had an amazing selection.

I've bought three bridal gowns for my daughters here. Their selection is good. They make you believe that alterations are "no problem"! They'll just give you a list of their alterations people only AFTER you purchase their dress. You can even purchase their fabric to match their dress. This sounds so easy but it's an expensive nightmare! First of all one of their recommended seamstress was an unprofessional disaster. After paying her $1,000 in alterations in CASH only, she ruined our dress and didn't want to finish our alterations! We had to purchase more and more fabric to build up a back and some sleeves. Don't be conned into the idea that alterations are simple! You may get a good price on the gown but you'll pay through the nose in alterations!!! Upon complaining to Bridal Expressions about our nightmare experience with their recommended seamstress, they could care less about our experience and refused to remove their con artist seamstress from off of their private list! I'll never go back!!

My first visit was on a Saturday and they were so busy; however, Tracy helped me was so patient and made me feel like I was the only person in the store. She immediately knew exactly what would look amazing on me and even though I felt like I needed to try on more than one dress before buying, I did end up buying the one she had chosen! Both Tracy and the manager, Chelsea, and AMAZING! If I had made sure to work with them through the entire process, I would have given 5 stars on everything. I don't feel I can though, seeing as how working with other persons at this location was a severe headache and I almost walked out on multiple occasions. Items were ordered incorrectly or not ordered at all, I was given incorrect and inconsistent information regarding arrival times and prices, and overall felt that many of the associates didn't care about me at all - I was just another dress. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Bridal Expressions to anyone with the strong suggestion that you call ahead and work with Tracy or Chelsea. They both are remarkable, knowledgable, professional, and make you feel like the most important person in the world.

The girl who worked there was very helpful and I thought very knowledgable- turns out she didn't know alot about what she was talking about, she was just trying to sell me the dress.

When I called back later, I didn't get a response for days (except for the call that said I wanted to buy their dress). There was a guy there that I talked on the phone with several times that seemed very rude. Also, I am a size 2 and they ordered a size 6 dress! My wedding date was too close to return the dress so I had to have major alterations done. They also didn't send me with extra buttons or anything when they knew I was going to have my dress altered.

They have beautiful dresses there, many which are modest already. They don't have an instore seamstress, so you have to find your own or use one of the ones which they have a list of.

I only recommend this store because it had dresses which I didn't see anywhere else. But be knowledgable and know what you want and dont want before you buy!

On a whole was it the best experience? No. Which is really sad because I initially really liked them. Here is a quick list of pro's and con's.

Pro's:
They are super responsive. I usually got a response back within in an hour or two.
They have a really good bridesmaids select. Honestly I thought it was one of the better selection.
The store is very beautiful. It is a smaller bridal store but with the space they have they fill it and make it look beautiful.

Cons:
Lack on communication about shipping times. While they did respond to me quickly they never called me without me prompting them to do so.

Failing to meet expectations. They do not have a seamstress and the shipping date changed constantly.

Ok so a more detailed review. The first issue I experienced was the changing of the shipping dates for my bridesmaids dresses. Originally when we purchased the dresses we were told that the dresses should arrive by the 14th of sept. But afterwords the date that they would ship changed. It went from being shipped the 14th of sept. to mid august/late august then to sept 6th. The dresses finally shipped on the 9th and received them on the 19th. Confusing right? It seems like every time I called the date would change.
Second, like I stated above it seems like these date changes were only told to me because I was calling offwhite. I know now after to listening to a frustrated father in the store that I wouldn't have heard any news about my dresses if I hadn't had called.
Lastly, there is no seamstress in store. When I asked about alternations I was told "We have seamstress' that can turn dresses around in a few days time if you need alterations. " Which made it sound like they had someone in house. But now my bridesmaids are rushing to find someone nearby that is affordable.

I got a beautiful dress from this vendor. It was only $425 dollars. They have a lot of classic dresses, they definitely follow the trends, and then they have a few unique pieces. I loved my dress. I've only seen one like it on one other person. It was classy and yet not like every other dress I've seen this season. The tailoring was okay, but I wish I would have been a little pickier about a few small things (I'm sure if I had they would have fixed them). Their tailoring was very quick and they were helpful in the store as I was shopping.

Disappointed despite finding dress

While I did find my dress at Offwhite and I do admit that they have a great selection of dresses that you won't find anywhere else in Salt Lake City (I should know, I went to 6 bridal shops), I was very disappointed in their lack of professionalism once the dress was purchased. When my dress hadn't arrived a month after it was due to arrive, they were unable to follow up with the designer to see where it was in production. After several failed attempts to see where the dress was, I directly contacted the designer and they informed me that they are happy to share its status with the bridal shop. It seems that somebody was not actually following up with the designer and asking the right questions. When my dress finally did arrive, one of the older employees acted very fake and were quite honestly annoying to work with. It seems that the manager was on maternity leave, which left the company in a bind. However, it is my expectation as someone spending a significant amount of money that the manager would leave someone in charge who could follow up with the designers, answer the bride's questions, and maintain a good level of customer service. I left the bridal shop disappointed despite having my dress and it took a long time to fall in love with it again.

When I was picking out my dress, they were absolutely fantastic and I was so happy with the process up to that point. However, they failed completely after that. My dress came in extremely late compared to what they told me. I ordered some extra fabric (per their recommendation) but they didn't tell me it would take even longer to come in and when I called to try to check on it they were extremely rude, every time I hung up I was in tears. My dress finally came in after I had to delay my bridal photoshoot and push back the seamstress multiple times. I loved my dress but when I look at it, there is so much stress attached.

I found a gorgeous dress here at a great price.

The service was definitely lacking. They left me to try on wedding dresses by myself. It is nearly impossible to put on a wedding dress yourself and when I asked for help, they seamed annoyed and walked away between each dress. Their service remained like this though out my experience with them.

One service aspect they did well on is that they have a chat feature on their website and are quick to respond though that.

I have other friends who bought their dress here and have had similar experiences. Great dresses; less than great service.

I ordered a strapless dress with straps and it came without them so I had to get some sewed on last minute and pay extra when I was told it would come that way, I wasn't happy that I had to pay extra on the dress after spending over $2,000. Wasn't given any kind of discount for the issue.

I beg you, please don't shop here. If you want to know about their customer service just read some of the responses to their bad reviews. I just want to bawl my eyes out. They make you sign the receipt which is also a waiver making it absolutely impossible for you to do anything if your dress doesn't come in time. My wedding is in 17 days and they still won't tell me where and when to expect my dress. I have been so kind and understanding every time I've called but Julie gives me the run around with a million excuses and no answers. The latest phone call, Julie told me to call back when she knew she wouldn't be in the store. No one else who works here is able to look up my tracking on my dress. Weddings are stressful enough, this shop will add piles to a full plate.

Horrible Communication!

When I first came to OffWhite in July 2021 to get a dress (1.5 years in advanced of the wedding), I was in awe at the selection they had, as well as how accommodating the staff were with finding me something to fit my vision. I had a particular dress in mind, and I only went to OffWhite because they sold the particular dress in question. Chelsea, the owner, stated she was a designer & offered to draw me up a design with everything I wanted in it & would only charge me $2200 for it. They took my measurements the same day, I paid a 50% deposit, and I walked away with a sketch of the design, rather than a dress. I was told the dress would be here by the end of January 2022; this is perfect, since my fiancé & I are moving across the country end of February 2022 (wedding is September 2022). At this point in time, I was recommending OffWhite Bride in Facebook groups for brides, had a mental 5-star rating of them.

Mid-December 2021, I text the boutique's iPad where staff can communicate with clients & asked for an update. I received a text from Chelsea about how lace is the final step before completion, so we picked a lace pattern & I explained the colors I wanted. You'd think this meant the dress was almost done. Wrong.

I called 3 weeks into January 2022, spoke to Chelsea & another representative on the phone, and they said due to international shipping delays & Chinese New Year, the dress wouldn't ship out until February 10. I explained that this worried me, since I was moving soon & I was told they would tell the design house (a small business in China that build the dresses, apparently), that my dress was a priority to go out on February 10. I was still worried, but okay, I guess.

Fast forward to February 10. No call, no update whatsoever. I call a day later on the 11th. I was told they'd check with the design house & they'd call me back in 2 minutes. 45 minutes go by, I call again. The girl on the phone, Ashley, said "oh yea! So I just checked & your dress is set to ship out on May 25." EXCUSE ME? I reiterated that a 3.5 month jump in shipping delay somehow occurred in the last 3 weeks since I called, my dress won't even arrive until 3 months before the wedding. I won't get to see it, try it on, get any alterations needed, NOTHING. On top of that, I'll be on the opposite side of the country! I immediately asked why this was happening and how it could be fixed, and Ashley started saying that the lace I chose is "specially sourced" & the design is "extra custom & complicated" so it'll take longer, as if that was my fault...
I asked to speak to Chelsea, since she owns the place, designed the dress & didn't tell me particular lace patterns would add 3 months to dress creation timelines. She naturally wasn't available to talk that day. I was told she would be in Saturday the 12th (following day) & then received a text at the end of that same day stating she wasn't there. Yet, she was perfectly capable of posting a video of herself INSIDE the boutique earlier in the day on OW's Instagram story (she frequently posts videos from her own personal social media on the boutique's social media pages, business related or not).
I sent lengthy text messages, saying I won't bother asking for a refund, but I would like to talk to someone about not paying the remaining 50% due to what has happened. In that text, I also asked if they could just not put any lace on the dress since I don't need it & it's the primary contributor to the delays. I tried to be as cordial and understanding as possible the entire time despite how panicked I was, even in this text. This text received only one response; that it would be forwarded to Chelsea. No one at the shop has gotten back to me since. I've repeatedly asked for phone calls to get answers & find solutions & it's been over a week since anyone has bothered to contact me. I have no idea if they ever intended on contacting their design house about a possible change in design or not.

After reading some of the reviews on Google, it's apparent I'm not the only one who has had an incredibly tough time getting ahold of someone who can actually conduct business. In the positive Google reviews made, you'll notice over half of them are going based off first impressions & initial appointments, rather than the entire process, start to finish.
It's quite clear that OffWhite Bride staff have incredibly poor business management & communication skills, let alone a lack of professionalism. The owner responded to my poor Google review with bold faced lies, saying I was the one who was unprofessional and I terrorized the staff - I called asking for someone to provide me an explanation on how to fix the issue in shipping delays, to which no one ever did. If I'm spending a few grand on a dress, it seems fair to have someone actually talk to me about it when issues occur... how is me calling to get help "terrorizing" staff, especially when NO ONE ANSWERED? She also said she spoke to me multiple times in one week (false, no one answered my calls) and that apparently my mom called the owner's father and threatened him... we have no idea who her dad is, nor how to reach him. We don't care who her dad is either, and my mom doesn't even call restaurants to ask if they take reservations, let alone call a bridal shop to complain/threaten someone, so... a definite lie lol.
*I did receive a full refund of my $1100 deposit, AFTER I physically went into the store to tell them I was there for one after seeing all of the reviews on Google from the past few months.
Do NOT waste your time here. You might not get your dress, and you might not have any contact with anyone either!

I'm noticing I'm not alone in my experience here.

I found my dress here, which is great. However, my experience with the staff was horrible!

I showed up here twice, once on a busy Saturday and once on a slow Tuesday. The first time, as I was trying on dresses, trying to find someone to help me do them up was like pulling teeth. A couple of times, both ladies were behind the desk (one was texting) while MULTIPLE girls were waiting to have their dresses done up. I, in a moment of frustration, asked the lady if she liked her job. She said "some days". To me, buying a wedding dress is supposed to be a fun experience and it would actually help if the consultants PRETENDED that it was fun for them too.

The second time I went in, my maid of honor heard the same lady ("same day" lady) get frustrated that she couldn't leave early because we showed up. PLUS I had to have my maid of honor do up the dress, as I again couldn't get any help from the consultants.

Luckily, I was able to find my dress being sold in another boutique. No money for Bridal Expressions!

Disappointed

My daughters and I went to Off White Bride to look for a wedding dress for me. The owner helped us and was very nice. We found beautiful dress that I purchased and Chelsea Fitted the dress and sent it to me in Colorado. When she was fitting me, I had her loosen several of the areas she took in. When I received the dress I could not clasp the back of the dress and it was so tight around my butt that it looked horrible cutting my butt in horizontally. There was no way I was going to be able to wear the dress.
I found a place where I could get rush alterations done, The seamstress there couldn't believe how the dress was altered. After adding material to the hip area and several other adjustments she was able to alter the dress so that it fit beautifully. I contacted Chelsea several times telling her what had happened and asked her to reimburse the money I had to pay to fix what she had done or at least what she had charged me for her alterations and never heard back.
I never never write reviews and really didn't want to write this review because I feel like she is a nice person and we really enjoyed shopping at Off White Bridal. I probably would have let it go if she would have at the very least gotten back with me.

Horrible - do not use

Dress was sold to us by giving false information about ability to make necessary alterations. Julie promised results that could not be delivered just to make a sale. We are $5000 into a dress that we may not even be able to use due to her lack of good business ethics. Wouldn't recommend this location under any circumstance.

This store was horrible!! The first time I went in they weren't too bad, but you could immediately tell that they were extremely fake about being interested in what I responded to all of their "set" list of questions they ask, responding with their voices up to shrill level to feign interest. The only reason I ended up buying from them was because the dress I settled for was an older style and ended up being on sale. Once they found out that I wasn't going to spend that much on they dress, I might as well have rung myself up and bagged the dress myself because they were on to the next customer or any phone call that came in. And at the end, when I was re-trying on my favorites, she was over on their computer playing solitaire or some other card game and didn't assist me at all even though I was the only one there in the store. And I wasn't able to have my mom or sisters there to help me either so it was extremely upsetting to be treated like a second class person. Shame on them!
