Alex was the perfect officiant for our special day. He is warm and friendly and although our initial meeting with him was via Skype, as we live in the UK, we felt like we had known him forever.
He took the time to get to know us personally, adding some beautiful touches and kind words into our ceremony. My new husband and I love to laugh and Alex was amazing at adding a touch of humour to our perfect ceremony bringing a smile to the faces of our guests. We can’t recommend him enough, if you’re looking for a wedding officiant Alex is definitely your guy, he’s just wonderful! If we could do it all again tomorrow we wouldn’t change a thing! -

Our officiant Alex, was absolutely amazing and did a wonderful job leading our ceremony. From the moment the ceremony began, he created such a warm, meaningful, and beautiful atmosphere that truly reflected the importance of the moment for us.
One of the things we loved most was that he was bilingual, which made the ceremony even more special for our families and guests. Everyone was able to fully understand and connect with the words being shared, and so many of our guests told us afterward how much they loved the ceremony.
He spoke beautifully, kept the ceremony flowing perfectly, and struck the perfect balance between heartfelt, meaningful, and engaging. It truly felt personal and memorable.
We are so grateful for the incredible job he did. The ceremony was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to officiate such an important moment in our lives. -

Alex was absolutely wonderful. From our very first meeting, he was warm, kind, and instantly put us at ease. Our ceremony meant everything to us, and because we come from different religious backgrounds, it was important to find the right balance of spiritual, meaningful, and personal without feeling overdone. Alex exceeded every expectation.
He wrote a truly beautiful and heartfelt ceremony that reflected us perfectly, handled our no-electronics announcement seamlessly, and was so thoughtful that he even stepped out of the frame for our first-kiss photos. Every detail showed how much care and intention he brings to his work.

Amanda was the perfect person for what we needed for our elopement in Brooklyn – she understood the tone we wanted for our ceremony after just one conversation. Beyond leading a beautiful ceremony, Stephanie was truly instrumental in guiding us through all the practical steps: from obtaining our wedding license to securing our marriage certificate and the apostille for recognition in our home country. Thanks to her advice, we were able to plan everything smoothly and avoid unnecessary stress.
She also helped us prepare a meaningful ceremony that reflected exactly what we wanted. On the day itself, she arrived early, was discreet yet fully present, and delivered the ceremony flawlessly. Our friends who attended were equally impressed and felt she did a fantastic job.

We recently got married in Central Park’s Cop Cot and Alex was our officiant. He was outstanding! He crafted a beautiful message that was heartfelt, poignant and humorous in all the right places. And his delivery? Oh, my goodness! It was pitch-perfect! He barely glanced at his notes but rather spoke to us and to the crowd. It was like we were old friends or longtime congregants and he a pastor/priest at a church. However, we were not surprised. We could see being friends with Alex under ordinary circumstances. We had the pleasure of working with James for our intimate rooftop elopement. James was very communicative the entire time leading up to the wedding date. When we first booked him, we hopped on a call just to talk a little bit about expectations and our personal love story. About a month out from the wedding date, he sent us the script for our ceremony for feedback and edits. It was a super simple and easy process. He answered questions we had about our wedding location, which was originally supposed to be at cop cot (central park), and he was very flexible when we decided to switch locations (the day of) to my in law's rooftop in greenwich village. James is experienced and knowledgeable about the flow of weddings. One of our concerns about Cop Cot was that there would have been a wedding right before the time slot we booked. James assured us that he can communicate with the photographer of the party before and give them a gentle nudge if time cut close, which really helped ease my mind.
We had a beautiful ceremony. And everything went really smoothly. The ceremony speech James gave was beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the ease and professionalism of the service :) Thank you for braving the cold rainy weather with us James! -

Amazing Officiant
We didn’t think we needed to hire an officiant for our Star Wars themed wedding. Our Rabbi, who was also one of my closest friends, was all set to do the ceremony. Sadly, he passed away several months before we were to be married. This left a blemish on our wedding day that we thought was insurmountable – how do you replace someone who knew us as a couple from the very first day of our relationship? Someone who has been a friend for even longer than the bride and groom even knew each other?
The answer came in the form of an e-mail from Alex of NYC Officiant. We had requested a quote for services, and we were blown away by the kind, compassionate, and sympathetic response that we received from Alex – which also started with “you have found your Jedi.” He acknowledged our loss and softly walked us through the process of planning a ceremony. Alex was very flexible and giving of his time, treating us as individuals and making us feel special right from the start – this was not going to be a ”cookie cutter” ceremony by any means. We wanted to incorporate the Star Wars theme into our ceremony in a classy and subtle way – Alex NAILED the perfect mix of fun and seriousness. Alex became familiar with our “story” and was able to speak to the unique aspects of our relationship. Alex crafted an interesting and compelling ceremony that left our guests equally in laughter and tears of joy.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alex and NYC Officiant. The true test is always the audience, and many of our guests remarked how interesting and engaging both the ceremony was, as well as Alex himself. He truly did the impossible by filling the shoes of someone who we thought was irreplaceable. -

After speaking to Alex on a phone consultation prior to our NYE wedding, we just knew that he was going to be the perfect part for our wedding ceremony. We spoke many times before the wedding to make sure that we were comfortable about the direction of our ceremony. He even extended the courtesy of helping us write our own vows! The night of the wedding, he met with us prior to the ceremony and put us in a great state of mind. He reviewed the order of the ceremony again with us to make sure everything went off without a hitch. His words about love and about what drove my wife and I together made it seem as if he was in our lives from day one. I would not have asked for anything different from the person who married us! This review is for our wonderful officiant, Amanda Mason. We knew she's our person from the very first email communication - warm, professional, friendly, and super prompt!
We had a pretty short time to plan our elopement ceremony as we were going through the "90-day fiance" visa process. Luckily we were able to schedule an initial zoom meet from India, and once we figured out which package we were going for - the "marriage license signing" - we went through a few emails to finalize the wedding venue. Amanda was super helpful with her recommendations and location photos to help us decide what's right for our intimate ceremony (6 guests). We got married in Central Park and we couldn't be happier. It was all perfect!
Days before the event we met in-person and went through the details and order of events. She made the effort to learn our story, and the right pronunciation of our long Indian names, and this was truly appreciated. At our request, she weaved a traditional Hindu "sindoor ceremony" into the script - this is where the groom applies vermillion powder on the forehead of the bride. The rest of the ceremony was simple, short and sweet - we read our own vows after Amanda's beautiful introduction, followed by the exchange of wedding rings and the official pronouncement and signing.
By the end of the event, it seemed like a friend got us married. Cannot recommend her more. I know weddings can be stressful, and going through these sites can seem like an endless maze, but she truly is the best! We feel lucky and blessed, and our guests in attendance and even friends who witnessed virtually, all praised her. If you work with Amanda, you are sure to have a beautiful and memorable wedding experience!
