I don’t even know where to begin! Karla was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. She was incredibly professional and always quick to respond to emails — and as a bride, we all know how many emails we juggle, so that meant a lot. From our very first tasting, Karla made everything feel seamless and special.
On our wedding day, Karla and her staff went above and beyond. She kept checking on me and Brady to make sure we had everything we needed and even surprised us with a little celebration plate of hors d’oeuvres while we signed our marriage license — such a thoughtful touch! The staff was friendly, attentive, and so kind.
And the food… omg, so delicious! Our guests are still raving about the small bites during cocktail hour and the dinner. Every dish was perfect.
I could go on and on about how wonderful Occasions was. I truly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or special event — they are top-notch, 10/10 stars! Thank you, Karla, for making our day so special!

Occasions Catering was easy to work with. Their onsite support was excellent and attendees raves about the food.
We were able to make adjustments to the menu and they helped coordinate with our dessert vendor. The food was delicious including options for vegan and gluten free guests. Our daughter was married in Copalis Beach, WA and Occasions made the experience easy and wonderful.
The entire crew was professional, went beyond the contract and very friendly. While we started with Lauren (who retired part way through) and ended with Emily they both provided exactly what we needed. The crew was fantastic, friendly and even went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
We had to arrange everything remotely as we live in Wyoming. They went out of their way before, during and after the wedding reception. It's our only daughter so no more weddings to plan for us but we highly recommend Occasions for your event!

Occasions Catering catered our wedding, and we cannot rave enough how amazing the experience was. The food items we chose on our menu were:

All our interactions with Occasions staff was efficient, informative, and helped us perfectly cater our wedding reception dinner. The owner, Carla, was especially helpful in making sure we were able to create a customized menu for our needs, taking into consideration various dietary requirements. They went above and beyond to make sure the reception was set up beautifully, helping fix details and clean up beyond what we expected. All staff was courteous and kind during serving, and provided complimentary cake cutting, making sure leftovers were boxed and sent with us for the honeymoon as requested. EXCELLENT VALUE - We found Occasions Catering to provide excellent value for our wedding. Reasonably priced, great food, able to create customized menus, and friendly supportive staff.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - We worked directly with Karla Curry of Occasions Catering to plan out our menu, work through logistics, and fine tune our plans leading up to the wedding. Karla was easy to work with, very responsive, and she worked hard to ensure the event went off without any issues. I appreciate that Karla helped us fine tune the menu and that she was willing to come out a week prior to the venue to meet with our wedding planning and walk through logistics. Due to all the prep that Karla helped us with, we felt very confident in what to expect from catering team leading up to the wedding.
FRIENDLY PROFESSIONAL STAFF - All of Occasions Catering staff were friendly, personable, and professional.
DELICIOUS FOOD - We chose a lunch time reception and a mix of chicken, sandwiches, and salad. We also had the charcuterie cups during happy hour, and an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. Our guests complimented us a number of times for how delicious and healthy the entire menu was. Guests were delighted with the food provided by Occasions Catering.

Fantastic Experience!
Working with Wendi at Occasions Catering for our wedding was such an easy and pleasurable experience! She was always quick to respond as we planned our outdoor fall wedding. My husband and I had recently moved to the Olympia area and she was helpful in suggesting other vendors, including a bakery for our cake and a venue for an after-party. She had previous experience at our venue which was helpful as we worked to plan some logistics. Occasions was flexible with our desire to honor my husband's Greek and Italian heritage and allowed us to customize a dinner menu that worked for us. They also provided a vegetarian option for one of our guests and were quick with responses about possible possible allergens that may have affected our guests.
On the day of the wedding, everything went so well! Wendi checked in with me to confirm that I still wanted to follow the timeline we had laid out and made adjustments as we went. The serving staff was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job! They kindly set aside appetizers for my husband and I at our table, and even gave us a little box of goodies and snacks for the end of the night!
All of the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the baron of beef. The gourmet s'mores bar was a big hit with our guests, and really added to the overall atmosphere of our casual park wedding.

Karla and team were great to work with from the start, I was worried about a lot of small details that I didn't need to be, and Karla was able to put my mind at ease make our wedding go off without a hitch. I am so glad I decided to work with Occasions Catering for my July 2021 wedding. They made the planning process a breeze, and Vanessa, my coordinator, was very responsive whenever I had a question. During the reception, guests commented on how good the food tasted, with multiple guests stating it was the best catered food they'd had in a long time. (Their brisket is AMAZING!) Occasions even prepared separate dishes for our guests with dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely seek out Occasions again if I needed to cater another big event!

The bartender made note of our drinks to send us away with one when we did our send off and the staff set up a BEAUTIFUL dessert table. A Dream Catering & Bar Experience
We booked Karla and her Occasions Catering team at the recommendation of our wedding venue. We booked blindly from afar because Karla was responsive, creative, and easy to work with from the first email we sent to her. She answered all of our questions, put together unique menus at varying budgets, and communicated openly. When we went to Occasions for a menu tasting, it was remarkable, beautiful, warm, and welcoming. We opted for a stations-based menu (salad bar, macaroni & cheese station, and mashtini bar!) that our guests have not stopped raving about. The toppings selections were plenty, quality, and so fresh. The presentation was immaculate and just right. Karla found us several times during the night and made us plates to ensure that the groom and bride ate food (which, we had heard, they always forget to do). The bar staff was polite, open to various drinks, and adaptable. We even got a box of late-night munchies for our room. I would recommend Occasions Catering (plus the open bar add-on which is a STEAL) and Karla Curry for your event time and time again.

I didn’t even trial the food, I just knew it was going to be good. It was better than good, AMAZING! My DJ has worked with Karla before and he said, “Trust me, the food will be incredible.” Sure enough, everyone raved about the food. SO GOOD! She also made the decor look great... better than I imagined. Working with Karla was such a breeze. The well at our venue was drying up days before our wedding. AKA no running water for over 200 people. I called her in a panic she said no problem at all we’ll bring this and this and be golden. Huge relief. The bartenders were awesome, and did a great job dealing with our obnoxious crew. Never a line at the bar yet we were running right through the alcohol... they were so efficient! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I worked directly with Karla (the owner) to plan our catering. I am not the world's most organized bride, and Karla and her team were so responsive and helpful when I had questions, very flexible when we had to change our date, and incredibly professional on the day of our wedding. The team transformed our ceremony space into our reception space (moving tables, helping to decorate) in minutes - they were so fast I didn't even notice it happening. This wasn't even part of the original plan, we were rained out and had to change our reception location on the day of the wedding. The food was fantastic - our guests came up to me all night with compliments about the food. They even prepared a separate meal for my bridesmaid with an allergy to garlic for free! Cannot recommend Karla and her team enough! They were an absolute dream to work with and I felt supported every step of the way.

Professional, Attentive, and Exceptional Food and Service
Roberto and I are glad for choosing Occasions as our caterer for our wedding! Karla was very helpful and responsive from the beginning, and she helped us build the menu to our own liking as well as even create a timeline for the reception. During the actual reception, the staff was very friendly and professional. They set and cleaned the tables in a timely manner, and this helped me and Roberto to focus on celebrating our day. The service was amazing, but I also have to mention how delicious the food was! I received a lot of compliments from our guests about how great the food and experience was, and there was even a slight competition as to who would take the leftovers home. We are so thankful for Occasions Catering's exceptional food and service that they provided as well as their dedication to help our wedding be special and unforgettable.

Amazing Experience
My daughter and my experience with Karla Curry, Occasions Catering was more than expected. Having met five Caterers prior, my daughter and I were feeling like we’d never meet a match. From very beginning Occasions was way above the rest. From making the entire menu for us to taste, to showing the different place settings in person, offering compost able, to changing menu to cater to the Grooms peculiarities, Amazing. Food was delicious, meat tender, juicy. People went back for thirds. We had both flank steak and chicken. The Venue wanted their name because their staff was so stellar, very professional and helpful. Highly recommend.

Hire them!
Hiring Occasions Catering was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. The ENTIRE staff worked so diligently the entire time, and they truly felt like wedding guests by the end! Our entire wedding was so complimentary of their service, attitude, and responsiveness throughout the night that we keep getting comments even a month later. The food was so great, and tasted exactly as it was in our initial tasting. Impressing a Texas family with BBQ is no easy feat, but Occasions did it! Also, a special shoutout to the bartenders that night. Our DJ was a complete nightmare, and one of the bartenders handled the situation for me with grace and respect, and we are so thankful for her in stepping in which was above and beyond her scope of responsibility that night. I could not be more complementary of the company, the service, and the people involved. HIRE THEM, you will not regret it!

Above and Beyond Amazing
We just got married on July 13th and hired Occasions for our wedding ceremony/reception and we were blown away! Not only did we continuously get compliments on the food but the staff went above our expectations. They always had a smile on their face, were very approachable, all of our guests loved them! Karla was our coordinator and she was so easy to communicate with. Whether it was setting up a meeting or her response to my emails, she was incredible! The day of the wedding we had a few hiccups and she rolled with the punches and I actually had no idea there were issues until after the wedding, I was actually able to enjoy the day and I couldn't have done it without her help!
Without Occasions I don't think our wedding would have been the same. If you want nothing but the best on your wedding day I can't say enough good things about Occasions!

All around great experience!
We considered several catering options and are very glad we chose Occasions for our big day. Karla and her team were very easy to work with, and had excellent communication from start to finish. Fantastic from Start to Finish!
We had a wonderful Experience with Karla and Occasions Catering from the start and all the way through to the end everything went flawless. She was fast to respond and incredibly patient with us through all the questions and changes.
The Staff that came were dressed very professionally. They were on top of everything, very well organized and courteous. You could tell they knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. They were in the background yet cared for all our guest paying attention to detail and were very polite.
The food was Amazing, we went with a country western theme and so we had Brisket, Pulled Pork along with rolls, Coleslaw and Amazing Mac and Cheese. Everyone loved all the food!!!
The bartender was very professional, kind and pleasant.
We are so pleased with this Occasions Catering. You cannot go wrong with this wonderful company.

Amazing wedding day with Occasions Catering!
It was extremely easy planning before the wedding as Karla was always quick to reply, and respond to all questions big and small. The customer service was outstanding, before and during the wedding. The value you receive for their services, quality of food, for the price that they charge is so fair and appreciated. We were so happy to be able to afford quality service and food for our big day, with a smaller budget. They have so many menus to choose from, and different ways to customize it to your budget. They even gave us all the leftovers and a midnight snack box for us brides. The service staff was very attentive and I always felt taken care of. We are so thankful for Occasions Catering for making our day that much more special!

Occassions Catering was the best
I tend to be one of those people that plan ahead, review the plans, fine tune the plans, and sometimes drive myself crazy. I knew instantly when I met Karla from Occasions Catering that I was in the hands of someone who knew exactly what she was doing and did it well.
From the very start, Karla worked through all of the details and made me feel so reassured that everything was covered. She had a detailed list of everything that we wanted and worked through any revisions as the wedding plans developed.
The day of the wedding arrived and Karla was there early to set up the linens and jumped right in to help me with the table decorations and do anything she could to help. Not only was I the mother of the groom, but my new daughter in law’s mother had passed away a number of years ago so I was also the mother of the bride….and the event planner and graphic designer. Needless to say I was nervous with all the details.
As the morning passed by, Karla’s kept telling me “just relax and enjoy the wedding, we will take care of everything”……and they did!
The food was delicious - the prime rib and salmon were perfectly prepared. Many went back for 2nds. The Occasions service staff was so friendly, capable and very attentive to our needs. We had timed out the program on when the toast, cake cutting and dinner would happen. Occasions Catering was right on time with everything. I would highly recommend Occasions for any catering event. Karla and her staff are incredible.

The Perfect Day!
It’s no surprise Occasions Catering knocked it out of the park for our wedding! Thank you so much to Karla, Teresa, Juli, Joe, Ashley and all the rest of the staff for making our day so amazing. Not only was the food and bartending exceptional, but the staff was extremely friendly and we have heard nothing but compliments on everything! Karla went above and beyond to make sure the ceremony and reception went smoothly and it was so nice not having to worry about a thing so I could relax and enjoy. They easily accommodated dietary restrictions, and the chefs are absolutely phenomenal! They even made my moms brown sugar baked beans (the grooms favorite)!

Great food, easy to work with
I planned my wedding in 6 months from another state and I'm thrilled with my experience. Even though they're located in Olympia, my wedding was at Historic 1625 in Tacoma. The food was absolutely great (this sounds weird but me and my husband both think it was even better than the tasting!), the staff was helpful, and we were lucky enough to have the owner (Karla) coordinate our event. She checked in with my multiple times on the day of to see what I needed and was extremely responsive throughout the planning process. I was a little intense with planning every little detail and she didn't mind at all. Highly recommend! We had a cocktail hour (w/ both passed and set appetizers) and plated dinner with open bar. The cost did not include the tip (which is standard of the area.)

Quick Responses and they truly care
Throughout the planning process, they were very flexible and easy to work with. For example, when we needed to schedule time for tasting while living across state, and make last minute changes to our contract for the big day. During the wedding, their service went above and beyond for us, making sure my wife and I had everything we needed while also attending to our guests.
We never felt like we could not depend on Occasions service.
They also include a complimentary night of snack box, which even though it is super simple, the idea behind it is amazing.

Occasions went beyond our expectations that were already high. Very friendly and helpful. They provided a timeline that helped the day go off smoothly. They worked graciously with the DJ and officiant to make sure they were on the same schedules. The day could not have been better. We have some gluten and dairy free guests, that they made a beautiful and delicious chocolate cake for!
I am so grateful for Karla and all the staff support. I would recommend this company without any hesitation!

I am so happy that we went with Occasions!!! I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer and she was amazing from the first meeting, all the way through the whole planning process, day of, and even after (checking in to make sure we were happy with everything) We got our linens, and everything else like that, through Occasions and halfway through the planning I changed my mind on some of the colors. Jennifer was so helpful in letting me come back in and look at the set up to make sure I loved what I picked. The day of I could not have asked for anything more! The bar staff was incredibly friendly, the food was ready on time, Jennifer even made a plate for my husband and I! I literally could go on and on. It was so nice to know that everything was handled and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Thank you again so much!!!

We hired Occasions Catering for our wedding reception. Right from the start Lauren was a huge help with all of the planning. The food was amazing, all of our guests raved about the brisket!! Additionally, the servers were awesome and did a great job. The room flip from the ceremony to the reception was done quickly and they were very attentive to our guests. What can I say, Karla and her team were the perfect team for this job! I could not have asked for a better venue, caterer or staff. The food was over the top amazing. The staff were some of the best I have ever had the privilege of working with. Karla and her team made my day the best day of my life. Occasions Catering food was delicious. Many of our guests complemented the taste and presentation of the food. The Chicken Dijonnaisse was fork tender and flavorful. The meal was ready on time and served hot.
The staff was outstanding. The servers were friendly, always smiling, and made sure our guests were taken care of.
Karla followed up with us several times throughout our wedding planning to make sure that all details were taken care of, and made us feel comfortable knowing that she was there to assist us in any way.
I would highly recommend Occasions Catering for any catering needs.

Occasions was one of the caterers listed by our venue and we were very pleased to have selected their services for our wedding. We were extremely pleased with the level of service we received from Occasions Catering when we held our wedding reception at the Heritage Room in Olympia. Our guests raved about the food, and the staff was very friendly and easy to work with throughout the evening. Everything was handled in a very professional manner, with our wants/needs for our reception being the main consideration. Even though there was one linen-related discrepancy on the day of setup, I have still awarded Occasions 5 stars, because it was quickly and respectfully handled with no back-and-forth whatsoever, and the final product was exactly as intended. Karla and her staff made planning and carrying out our big day as pleasant and perfect as we we could have hoped for, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to future brides.

They did a fantastic job with our 200 person wedding! Their staff was very accommodating and super polite and helpful throughout the event, the food was delicious (they even boxed up the leftovers for us, as we didn't run out of food), all of their hard work and communication throughout the process was wonderful! All I can say is Amazing! Food was great as was the variety. We had everything for true omnivores as well as a heady selection of vegetarian and vegan options. They were also great in pointing out we had way too much food selected and were a great help in paring down the choices to something more appropriate for the number a guest we had expected. Great value, great service, great food. They even picked up the cake and delivered it on a holiday weekend. We had no worries with Occasions on the scene and were able to just enjoy our wedding and our friends and family.

Jennie Hannah runs a fantastic catering service and it was delightful to work with her every step of the way. Although a bit out of the way from Seattle (my one and ONLY gripe!), the food was worth all the time put in. She had many options and was very flexible when we wanted to add some sushi to our otherwise traditional wedding menu. She was also very flexible around prices, showing us the many options and helping us to get the most food for the least amount of money. On wedding day, her crew were actually the first people at the venue! They all were very professional and kind to me and my guests. The food was great- chicken, salmon, sald, carrots, potatoes, it was all just right. And the buffet service was very visually appealing as well, like a real feast! As the night went on, her staff begain cleaning up quietly (I didnt even notice until someone mentioned it) and allowed us to get out of our venue in a timely manner. And Jennie even sent with our family a "Honeymoon" package, filled with yummy treats for the plane ride down to Lake Tahoe for our honeymoon- it was SO nice not to have to think about that! I would absolutely recomment Occasions to anyone looking for a professional caterer and scrumptious food.

We had our wedding reception at the Occasions run Heritage Room in Olympia. Everything from the food to the lighting was wonderful. Ashley and the entire staff set everything up, listened to all of my wants/needs, and helped to make the day special. We chose Occasions as they were apart of our venue's preferred vendor list for caterers. I wanted to work with them from the get go because of the plethora of options they had for menus and foods! And even though we ended up not going a food "bar" route, I loved the idea and options of having a macaroni bar or potato bar! They were there with me to make all of the table decisions when it came to cutlery and plating and it was so nice that it was all together so it was one less vendor I would have to rent from! My guests loved all the food and we even had a kids buffet that was a hit with not just the littles but the adults as well!

Perfect meal for a perfect day!
My husband and I loved our experience with Karla and Occasions Catering! The food was so delicious (especially the spiced green beans, bacon jam, and prime rib!), and the serving and bar-tending staff we so incredible serving us and our guests! Karla and the Occasion's team did a great job catering our wedding at our home. Karla offered excellent suggestions and advice to make sure the day went smoothly. They were on time, professional, and attentive to all our needs. Last minute changes and unexpected issues were handled promptly and smoothly. We needed a tent for the reception and she provided and coordinated the rental with the recommended vendor. The food was satisfying and well received by all guests. Ashley at Occasions pulled everything together so wonderfully for us. She worked with our budget and helped us create a great atmosphere and great menu. They helped set up tables and decor as well as clean up and make sure the place looked great. Food was DELICIOUS from what i tasted, and we got nothing but rave reviews from everyone (Chicken enchiladas, rice, beans, green salad, veggie tray and chips and salsa!). I have some of the leftovers frozen waiting for a special night with my hubby to really enjoy the food! Be wary that int he wake of a crisis do NOT speak to Trish, just let Ashley handle it, she is wonderful!

This company was very organized and always replied back in a timely manner to any questions or concerns I had concerning my big day. Karla was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning process. Since doing some research, we did have an idea as to how much catering would be and hope to be within budget. Since this was going to be a destination wedding, my husband and I weren't able to go for a private tasting so my wedding coordinator was able to meet with her and give suggestions as to what our menu for the day of should be. Once that was settled, a contract was created with the specific needs as well as the items that would be need for the event. Karla is very helpful, took feedback very seriously and was able to quickly return a quote once we had decided.
Day of during the reception, we went to get our dinner and the set up was very nice for the size the serving area that it was in. We had: the prime rib, rosemary walnut chicken, seasoned vegetables, mashed potatoes, They were all good but not that great as there were some disappointments. The prime rib was over cooked as is it supposed to have a nice red to pink center, it was more well done. Some servings had more more fat content than meat. I felt bad because the best man and my husband had pieces that were all fat as well as salty, it had to be mix with mashed potatoes to remove some of the saltiness. I had the chicken which was over seasoned and I had to cover it with mashed potatoes to neutralize the saltiness and my Maid of Honor also had the same problem. And the seasoned veggies were over done.
As the night went on, her staff began cleaning up quietly (I didn't even realize it until I sat at another table noticed that the plates were taken). They were very good about following up with a head count, they showed up on time, were very professional, and for the most part they stayed out of the way. In the end, Occasions is top notch in their service and team but the food on the day of the wedding made me wish that I had gone to the tasting to.

Occasions Catering is great company to cater your wedding. All my wedding guests raved about how delicious the food was and how elegant their set was. Occasions is very accommodating with my guests who has special allergens. I would definitely recommend them for anyone's wedding. In addition, Occasions allows you to have different food stations at your wedding and my mashtini station (mash potatoes in a martini glass) was hit with all guests.

I had a relatively set price in mind that I was willing to pay for catering and she was able to help me meet that while still ensuring we had a quality meal to serve our guests. She shared information from her experiences to help me plan accordingly. The private tasting was great. It was a nice setting and was very helpful to get to sample the food prior to committing. She took our feedback very seriously and was able to quickly return a quote once we had decided. I was in such a bliss-fog on the actual day that I am not sure I actually tasted the food lol, but as far as I remember it was exactly the same as the trial. We had more than enough for everyone and they all seemed to enjoy it as well. The midnight snack box was such a nice little perk also.

Overall, the food was absolutely amazing!! We did have a couple of glitches in the process though. If you choose to go with Occasions catering, know that you'll have great food and a professional staff, but make sure to double check your invoice before signing. we had to go back and forth a couple of times to get it right. I don't think they did any of it on purpose, but my now husband (yay!), is very good with numbers, it's what he does; so when it came time to review the quote we found multiple mistakes in the billing and taxes. Once we got that sqaured away, they were very good about following up with a head count, they showed up on time, were very proffesional, and for the most part they stayed out of the way. My only other suggestion would be to make sure you get ALL of the food you pay for. We had a head count of roughly 90 people, but only had about 66 people show up. That being said, when they boxed up the left overs, they left hardly any food. My thoughts are that they A) didn't bring enough food in the first place, or B) only boxed up trays that were already open. That would mean they took whole trays of food back with them that we paid for. It was delicouse and it would have nive to have the left overs. Other than that, we got endless compliments on the food and I would hire them again, but knowing what to look out for.

They were very hard to get a hold of prior to the wedding to work out the details and then certain terms were not clear until a week before the wedding. When I found out I needed to purchase additional items that I thought were included but were not. The day of the wedding the food and service was great. The bar tenders cut people off way too early, and was a little unprofessional to family members.

This company catered my sisters wedding in Tacoma on January 29th 2022. The food was awful, cold, smallest portions could barely feed a child. The workers were eating plates of the appetizers my sister paid for and told the groom to “get out” when he asked for some in the back. Vanessa the coordinator accused my sister days after her wedding of stealing 20 champagne flutes and demanding them back or paying for them. Honestly for paying 9,000 dollars for this company to do something Subway could have done better is beyond disappointing.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I have never dealt with a more disrespectful business. I absolutely would not recommend. They are much more interested in making their money than helping the bride create her special day. The first in person meeting I had with my consultant and the owner I let shaking and in tears. Plain and simple, they are mean people, and once that contract is signed they don't seem to care how they treat those employing their services. Several times the consultant make completely irrelevant and unprofessional comments about my mother.
While the food wasn't terrible, it did not live up to the quality one would expect after paying several thousand dollars for the service.
The coffee service was not stocked, and we ended up having to provide our own creamers and containers, and while the buffet was set up, no plates or utensils were lain. No accent linens were lain, and the cloth themselves were thrown sloppily on the tables. The staff was continuously found snacking on the ordered food, and it was hard to find a single smile amongst the staff. I was embarrassed as my guests continuously complained about the food, the service and the presentation.
Several thousand dollars down the drain later, I sincerely wish I had reconsidered my choice for caterers.

Such a disappointment and waste of money.
Our venue in Tacoma had a list of 5 caterers we could choose from and our initial meeting with Occasions was very good so we went with them. Unfortunately, our original (AMAZING) sales rep quietly left the company very soon after we signed our contract and we didn't find out she was gone for over a month. It wasn't until she e-mailed me from her personal email account to see how I was doing that I had any idea she was no longer handling my event. After that, we worked with the owner, Karla, who left a lot to be desired... All the plans I'd discussed originally were gone and I had to start all over. With a million things on my to-do list, re-explaining what I thought was already decided was the last thing I wanted to do.
Not only that, but she seemed not to understand what Vegan and Gluten-Free meant (as the owner of a catering company, that felt very odd...). We did a plated dinner and Karla kept suggesting Vegetable Lasagna as a Vegan & GF option, which obviously makes no sense on either side. Every time we got a revised contract (which includes all the details from food served to number of servings to linens to timeline, etc.), SOMETHING was off. Numbers would change that we never discussed changing, etc. After a while, my husband and I just stopped bothering to correct the small discrepancies.
On wedding day, the plated dinner service ran way behind schedule and the table #s were set up incorrectly so my parents' tables were far away from the sweetheart table
On several occasions, our e-mails went unanswered for weeks at a time. Our venue and other vendors also had difficulties getting in touch with Karla... You would think that spending ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS would warrant some decent customer service, but in reality, all I got out of the experience was lots of anxiety and frustration. Luckily, the food on wedding day actually was good and the staff were friendly, etc. so our guests were none-the-wiser.

I didn't even make it to a tasting with occasions. Just getting a quote from them was hard enough. I was dealing with Jennifer and after being very detailed in what I wanted she grossly inflated the amount of hours I requested for having staff on site. (I asked for 6 hours and she put down 14!!!!!!) Her excuse for this was that she was trying to make the most of my 12 hour use of my venue. I feel like she was trying to inflate her own paycheck. She completely skipped over answering questions I asked and only gave my pricing for one style of serving styles when I asked for two. She came up with insignificant questions to ask me stating that she needed them answered before proceeding. Why she needed my fiancé's name to give me a price quote is beyond me. She wasted so much of my time I had to move on.
