The most amazing wedding flowers!
I had a great experience with Occasions by Emily as my wedding florist. I was torn on a couple of different inspo photos and Michelle blew me out of the water with the results. She matched the exact vision I had for my flowers! She was very thorough with the consultation and I knew the results would be amazing! We also used her hurricane vases for floating candles! Everything turned out so beautiful, I still get compliments about the flowers!! I am so happy looking back at all my photos with the flowers! I would recommend Occasions by Emily!! -

Working with Michelle was an absolute dream! She was very kind and patient with us as we know very little about flowers and were indecisive on what floral aesthetic we wanted. Michelle was knowledgeable, thorough, and detail oriented. She provided us with practical solutions to maximize our florals while keeping costs within our budget. Everything was stunning, including the bouquets, arbor florals, and table settings. The pictures speak for themselves. Highly, highly recommend!! -

Practical and Elegant
I was looking for simple elegance for a wedding but didn't want to spend a fortune. I've arranged flowers for our church for 20 years, so I know a lot about flowers and their supply costs. After shopping around, I found Occasions by Emily and was so happy to find a talented shop at reasonable pricing! I asked that the flower arrangements for the church be designed in such a way that they could be transported to the reception floral containers (totally different look). Michelle listened to my requests attentively and created arrangements that worked perfectly in both settings!! Not only were they beautiful but it was the most practical use of flowers I've seen! Additionally, we submitted photos of the bouquets we wanted, and my daughter was thrilled with them. Exactly what we had asked for. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you! -

I didn't think I needed a wedding planner, but my venue included one in their price. Now that it's over, I can't imagine how I could have done it without Michelle. She caught several issues with the rentals and other things that would have been disastrous without her. She also anticipated my needs, like bringing us water right after the ceremony and making sure we had food. In the midst of all she's doing, she always had a smile on her face and brought a calm presence to the event. The only problem is now I wish I had a Michelle for my everyday life! She makes everything easier. -

Michelle was absolutely amazing and we are so lucky to have found her to help with planning, coordination, floral, and design. At every meeting Michelle was very thorough with her questions and took great notes to ensure all of our concerns were met. I am someone who is full of anxiety and Michelle went above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and well-cared for. Having her during the last month before the wedding was such a huge help. She coordinated with all of our vendors for the timeline and we didn’t have to lift a finger. She is very organized, extremely responsive, and shared many useful recommendations in our multiple planning sessions. On our wedding day, she checked in with us frequently to make sure everything was going exactly as planned. Moreover, she is quick on her feet and very resourceful when it comes to problem solving. If something did go wrong, we wouldn’t even know because Michelle handled it and kept an uplifting energy to make our day a celebration of our love. As for the flowers and designs, they were OUT OF THIS WORLD and exceeded our hopes and dreams. Literally, everything she touched was a piece of art– a masterpiece :)
If you want someone who is welcoming, the perfect mixture of calm but organized, and willing to go above and beyond to make your dreams a reality, then there is no choice but Michelle! Your vendors will thank you! -

Amazing!!! We used Occasions by Emily for our wedding in October and they did such a wonderful job! I did not find them in my initial search and my original plan for floral fell through. I reached out to them later than I would've hoped but they were so helpful and nice! I gave them a little background about us as a couple and our vision and they returned with a proposal (under budget) that literally blew me away! Michelle is the person who I worked with and she was literally fantastic!! Not only did she get my vision down pat, she also suggested things that I hadn't thought about. When we saw the finished product we were over the moon! Everything looked exactly how we imagined it and we could tell she put a lot of thought into all of the details. I would highly recommend Occasions by Emily, their quality, value and customer service were simply top notch!!! -

WOW! Michelle and team did a fantastic job!!! She was amazing and so easy to work with and really guided me throughout the whole process, I only had some ideas of what I wanted and she helped me see those through and made our whole reception GORGEOUS and the ceremony pieces were so beautiful!!! Not on that, she worked with my MIL the night before to do the rehearsal dinner space and it was so lovely. They provide a great service for a good price and are fantastic to work with!!! I would highly recommend. -

First, Michelle is an excellent wedding coordinator. She did 30 day planning and day-of coordination for us, and she really helped ease my mind so much. I was having a lot of anxiety in the months leading up to our wedding because of COVID, and she got on the phone with me and instantly made me feel better. She had that same calming presence during our wedding, even though my venue was a little bit of a mess. And my family also commented on how comfortable she made them -- and I'm telling you that's really impressive since we were all over the place with emotions and issues. Genuinely I'm so glad that Michelle was there!!
And I absolutely LOVED my flowers!! I decided I wanted to have lots of color just a month or so before the wedding, and Michelle really made it happen! I was pretty vague but she got it exactly right! I LOVED my bouquet and the decorations during the ceremony. She really exceeded my expectations! -

I cannot say enough good things about Michelle, she truly went above and beyond to create our special day, piece by piece! Michelle is incredibly attentive and organized. She handles everything with care and makes sure to choose vendors that best fit the style and personality of you and your significant other. As well as being our wedding planner, we also hired her to do the decor and floral work for our wedding! Michelle blew us away with her eye for color and design, our special day was stunning in every way thanks to her work! On our wedding day, she was constantly prepared and present to help with anything and everything to make the event run smoothly. If you choose Occasions by Emily for your special event, you will NOT be disappointed! -

MICHELLE IS THE MOST AMAZING PERSON IN THE WORLD!!! She can handle LITERALLY everything!
My husband and I got married 2 months ago, and we are STILL in awe of how perfectly executed our wedding was, thanks to Michelle. We originally hired her to create the bouquets and hang string lights in our reception hall. Michelle mentioned that she also coordinated, but my husband and I as well as several members of the wedding party are actually in the wedding industry, so we naively thought we were fine without it, we could handle it ourselves. It wasn't until crunch time, maybe a month away that we decided we wanted to actually enjoy our day and not be in work mode, and asked Michelle if she could do the day-of coordinating as well…BEST DECISION OF OUR LIVES.
From the moment we asked her to coordinate, she had EVERYTHING under control. She was easy to talk with, wonderful personality, and completely chill the entire day. Our venue was 2 hours away from Asheville (where we got our cake from) and she even picked up the cake and returned the stand for us!! She was going to come the day of the wedding with the flowers, cake, and to string the lights before the wedding got started, but decided on her own that she wanted to come up the day before and hang the lights so that she would be completely available for anything that might come up the day of the wedding. This stuck out so much to me because it proves that she is dedicated to the job and was committed to doing whatever it took to make it a perfect day, even if that meant making the drive the day before.
While on the subject of the lights: I originally asked her to do just 4 straight lines down the length of the venue for additional lighting. When she got in and saw the space, she came up with a BEAUTIFUL lighting design that completely transformed the space; I never would have even envisioned it!
As for the flowers: they were absolutely stunning!! We wanted something more along the lines of wildflowers, and the bouquets blew me away! She has such an incredible way of taking your vision and completely capturing it while amplifying it beyond all measure!
On the coordinating side: The biggest thing that stood out to me was how she kept everything on track the entire time, seemingly behind the scenes. If anything happened that wasn't anticipated we never knew about it. She took care of everything with every vendor while maintaining a calm, pleasant energy throughout the whole night. While we were doing our exit she packed up all of our decorations, cake, etc. and took the initiative to even load them into our cabin (which was right beside the and event venue) which was a HUGE lifesaver!!
I could go on and on forever about all of the different ways she went so far above and beyond for us and our special day. She started as our florist, and ended up being our florist, lighting designer, cake deliverer, coordinator, and beyond. We both, being in the industry, have worked with hundreds of planners/decorators/etc. and I would NEVER recommend anyone higher than Michelle and her team. We are endlessly grateful for everything she did for us and I CANNOT recommend her and her team enough!!!!

Michelle with Occasions by Emily was FANTASTIC! She was always quick to respond and helped my ideas come to life. She stayed with me through an entire year, three postponements and a venue change (thanks Covid) and made my day so special! I wasn't stressed at all about how thing would look. She did a beautiful job and I would highly recommend her to anyone!! -

Above and Beyond Wedding Planner & Florist
I interviewed several wedding planners and florists in the area and from the first time I spoke with Michelle, I knew I wanted to work with her. My husband and I agree it was the best decision we could have made! Michelle is hard-working, attentive to detail, organized, and creative, all while being calm and reassuring throughout the wedding planning process. Though planning a wedding during COVID came with its stresses, I can truly say the entire wedding weekend I was not worried or stressed at all because of all the work Michelle did. We are located out of state and feel that Michelle went above and beyond in coordinating with our vendors, attending meetings, and even taking over planning for the rehearsal dinner in order to relieve our stress. Her knowledge and connections in the industry really showed when a few days before the wedding our venue couldn't get certain linens we had ordered. Within an hour Michelle had solved the problem and found what we wanted. I could go on and on but the bottom line is Michelle is amazing and we are so grateful! Not to mention, the flowers and decor at our rehearsal and wedding were STUNNING. They were exactly what I wanted and we received so many compliments. Everything was executed perfectly thanks to Occasions by Emily. My husband and I highly, highly recommend hiring them! -

Excellent!
Michelle went above and beyond. She created the most beautiful bouquets and arbor garland for the backdrop of my ceremony. She is an incredibly talented and professional florist; she is very responsive in her emails, reliable, and friendly. I appreciated that she adjusted to our new wedding date due to Covid - highly recommend! -

Fantastic!
We used Michelle with Occasions by Emily for our September 2020 elopement and couldn’t have been happier with the florals she created! I had a difficult time finding someone in the Asheville area who was willing to provide personal flowers for the bride and groom only (most vendors I spoke to were only willing to take on a full-fledged event with reception decor, bridal party flowers, etc). Michelle accepted the task with no hesitation and brought my woodsy, boho bride vision to life! She was communicative, accommodating, flexible, and especially kind. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone needing florals for their special occasion! -

Lovely flowers, stressfree wedding coordinators
Occassions by Emily's beautiful and colorful bouquets, reception and venue decorations made an the indoor venue bright and cheerful at my daughter's wedding on a rainy day in May. I highly recommend them for both florists and as a wedding coordinator since our wedding flowed very smoothly and stressfree. -

I worked directly with Michelle and she did an amazing job with planning each floral arrangement and decoration at both the ceremony and reception. I gave her the colors I was wanting and some picture ideas but really let her do the rest and she did not disappoint. They even assisted with some props that I wouldn't have expected a florist to have so Michelle and team really did help me out and made our wedding absolutely stunning. We were even able to donate some of the larger pieces to a hospital the next day and they couldn't get over how gorgeous the arrangements were. I highly recommend them for any occasion! -

She also provided our flowers and they exceeded my expectations. Our guests complimented the flowers profusely! She also provided some great advice on where to have our rehearsal dinner and it worked out perfectly. Everyone had a great time. We are so happy with our decision to choose Occasions by Emily for our wedding planning needs and we absolutely loved Michelle!

Kimberly Sent on 11/12/2017What a WONDERFUL florist!! From our first phone call, Michelle was very focused on helping me achieve the exact look and theme of the wedding, romantic garden. She made sure to stay within my budget while still reflecting my style as she sent me the first proposal. (The first one was almost perfect!) She was patient and offered me many different ideas as far as nailing down the details of each centerpiece and ceremony decoration. Michelle even suggested sharing Pinterest pages so that she could get the best idea of what I was looking for! She was so confident and mindful of what flowers would look best and what colors, that I basically provided her with general ideas and let her take care of the rest. I had full confidence that my flowers would be amazing and just what I was looking for just from my few emails and phone calls with Michelle. We met up with her in Asheville a few months before the wedding and she was so organized and even opened us up to the idea of table linens and runners (which were last minute touches that looked perfect with everything else!) She really knows what she's doing and ALL of floral arrangements came out PERFECT and just the way I pictured they would be. Everyone raved about them afterwards and they really set the tone for the whole wedding. They came back after the wedding as well and cleaned everything up the same night! Thank you so much to Michelle and her wonderful team for flowers that were a dream come true!! I couldn't have asked for better!!

I was so taken away by the beauty of it all, I just started to cry (happy tears)! Absolutely breathtaking! From beginning to end, Emily worked with us to ensure our wedding was the wedding of our dreams. Emily was able to take our ideas and incorporate them perfectly into the most elegant, charming wedding that celebrated our love for each other, our family, and our friends.Emily is a true professional and was a great resource for all things wedding. She had the answer to everything – from the proper way to address an invitation, order of the processional, seating charts, timing of toasts, cake cutting, and wedding departure to EVERYTHING in between. She brought such a high level of creativity to our wedding, that left our guests talking far after our wedding was over.Prior to our wedding, Emily met with us in person and communicated with us via email and phone and to discuss and plan everything. She created a custom wedding timeline, that listed every detail (Who, What, When, Where) and left nothing to fall through the cracks. She coordinated everything from the big details (when the Rolls Royce would arrive to take my father and me from the Duke Mansion to the church) all the way down to the little details (ensuring our mr&mrs forks were set up and ready to go when it was time to cut our beautiful cake). She coordinated with all the vendors to ensure the flowers and cake were set up in the right spot and that the band, limo, and photographer and videographer arrived on time. Emily’s planning expertise and attention to detail allowed us to relax and enjoy our wedding without worrying about a thing. The entire day was seamless and we owe every bit of perfection to Emily and her team. -

Not only was she our Florist but she was someone who helped us out in deciding all of the little details that matter (that can be so stressful.) Anytime I had a question, she was there... period. :) That's why she is so great to work with..... she has so much experience as a florist AND as a planner. User1145097 Sent on 04/23/2013Emily really worked with me and my vision and tried her best to accommodate my DIY flower arrangements by selling me buckets of flowers. It literally cut the flower cost in half and the arrangments turned out beautiful. She also has an AWESOME array of decorations, vases, mirrors, and pieces to rent for centerpieces and decore. Not to mention a totally mix-match vintage line of teacups/saucers and vintage plates to use to really make a statement with the dinnerware ; ) We really loved working with her and would definitely recommend!
