Our love 💘 story

This venue was perfect and beautiful! Angela, Peter and the team thought of everything! They were so attentive and although last minute details become after thoughts,, they were all over it! From picture poses to speeches and everything in between, They guided us through this very special day! It surpassed far more what I could have planned on my own. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making it so special 💗 and sweet! Can't wait for pictures and video! Highly recommend this gem 💎 in east TX to anyone planning a gathering or wedding!

Fabulous Team To Work With

Our experience with the team at Occasions at Stone River was wonderful from start to finish. We initially met with April Moon in the office where we learned about the venue and services that they offered. We loved that the prices could be all inclusive or as a la carte as wanted. So after taking a day or two to think it over we called back to book our date.

One of my favorite services was the inclusion of a “day of” coordinator. We were able to meet the entire staff including our coordinator, Angela, when we went back for the food tasting. The food at the tasting was excellent (Thank you chef Zack and staff) and we chose to serve brunch at our morning wedding. We also decided to book Angela to take our photographs so she became our photographer/coordinator.

Sixty days before the event we had a meeting scheduled with Angela to make all of our choices about décor and any additional services we might want to include. Due to some other scheduling conflicts we needed to have this meeting earlier than planned and Angela was very flexible and made that happen for us.

We met again with Angela at our rehearsal and she helped us map out how the wedding day would flow. She was again very helpful with all of our questions and concerns.

The wedding day was perfect! Angela is a master of coordination and any concerns we had about how she would juggle photography and coordinating melted away. The day worked just as we had hoped. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff are all fabulous to work with.

Thank you Johnny, April & Angela, Chef Zack and staff for making our wedding day so wonderful!

Flawless wedding!

The staff at Occasions at Stone River went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Johnny performed our ceremony and did a great job. He made last minute changes to the vows and truly cares for the couple that is getting married. Angela and Peter are amazing! Angela will be there for you every step of the way. She handled everything the day of the wedding and made sure everything was perfect! Peter, the DJ was fantastic! The whole staff is so sweet, professional, and helpful! The guest enjoyed the food, cake, and music. You could not ask for a better place to have a wedding, I would recommend it to everyone!!!

Absolutely amazing!!!

Angela, Peter and everyone else associated with this venue is amazing! Angela is there for you every step of the way, she is so sweet and helpful! She handled everything the day of the wedding and made sure everything was perfect! Peter, the DJ was fantastic! He made sure the reception was great and was on top of the schrdule throughout the night! He does a phone interview with you a few weeks before the wedding that really helped us understand what to expect at the reception. The food and decor they have at the venue was phenomenal!! This venue is top notch and I would recommend it to everyone!!!

Holy smokes this was an awesome place to work with. So much so I am starting talks to work with them part time as a photographer and videographer. Angela and Peter are beyond kind and professional. They had my wedding running like a well oiled machine. The food was delicious. I was starving by the time I got to eat and it was perfection. We had the chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was 35 degrees outside and southern comfort food is just what I needed. Peter kept the energy up while Angela made sure to capture every moment. We were all able to talk shop and I loved knowing I was getting a quality product because they know their stuff! The prices were also beyond affordable and they truly believe in not hiking up prices just because it's a wedding. I never felt like I was on a budget because I got so much bang for my buck!

My husband and I and all of guests loved Occasions at Stone River! A beautiful venue, great prices that included everything we needed including decorations, set up and clean up along with servers. The staff were so friendly and so helpful, making our special day really perfect! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very special venue! Thank you so much Occasions at Stone River!

Bravo, all around! Johnny, Angela, Peter, Zach, and all the staff hit it out of the park. Our wedding, despite all the couple's fussing over the little details, could not have gone better. We're still getting enthusiastic compliments. The food, the atmosphere, the energy, the entertainment... perfect. The staff put our minds at ease that it would go well, and boy, did it ever.

We got married on June 10th at 11 a.m. Our wedding was FLAWLESS! I am not one to brag, but seriously, it was flawless. This venue means it when they say they are all-inclusive. I did not have to worry about a single thing. They made the planning process too easy. I cannot rave about them enough! They made my husband and I feel so special all day long and throughout the planning process as well. The decor, service, and food was amazing! This is such a beautiful and memorable place to get married and we are very happy we chose them. If you are looking for a stress-free, all-inclusive, fun place to celebrate, check this place out! They are very affordable and have so many custom options to make your dream come true, without losing sleep over it.

Angela was our coordinator and was so helpful with everything! Peter was our DJ and kept our dance floor full all day. I didn't know what to expect with a daytime wedding, but it was so perfect!

You really cannot go wrong by using this place. Our December wedding went off without a hitch! They really help you make it personal and enjoyable for everyone involved. Angela was a great photographer and day of manager, Peter the DJ did an exceptional job keeping the reception going, and the food was amazing! My word of advice: if there's something special you'd like to include, don't hesitate to ask them! They really try to work with what you need.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! They made getting married so easy by providing an "All-inclusive" package!! I had everything taken care of by this amazing team!!! Included was my cake, groom's cake, photography, food, bar, policeman, chapel, reception, and the biggest reason I recommend them is they have decorations!!!! We still brought some small decorations, but not having to worry about all of that was such a huge relief to me and my now hubby!!!!!

Word of mouth is a great tool, I found out about this venue from my sister's Nanny who had her wedding there.
The biggest reason I chose Occasions was it was a one-stop-shop! Occasions is great because they can accommodate an indoor wedding or outdoor wedding.

Catering onsite(Chef Zach), House Photographer(Angela), House DJ(Peter), Decorations for any style (Included in price), Day of Coordinator.
Angela (Coordinator & Photographer) was awesome throughout the whole process.
She always made me feel calm and comfortable that everything would work out great.
Johnny(Owner & Pastor) was great too. He had a great meeting with us before rehearsal to get to know us and our spiritual life. He incorporated information from that meeting into our wedding and made it special to us.
Everyone loved the DOVE release option. It was such a surprise for guests and the story Johnny gives to signify the dove release is very special!
The location is perfect not too far away, but in the country enough to feel like we were on a destination wedding.
The sunset was perfect and Angela made sure all my little requests were met in the decorations and the wedding pictures just all around I told her several times she made me so calm.
She had great ideas for the Groom (NO LOOK) pics with the Bride and I cannot wait to see those.

April and the office staff were great as well, always there if I had questions and the payment options available were perfect. I was very proud I budgeted well and was able to pay for my own wedding, with a little help from family! :)

This venue is beautiful, but we used Occasions at Stone River exclusively for their catering at our Rockwall, Texas wedding. Their dinner options were wonderfully flexible with multiple tiers of value, plus it was easy and inexpensive to add on additional cake cutting services. Our catering contacts were always prompt and courteous, as well as helpful with accommodating a few guests with dietary restrictions. And the FOOD! We selected their "Texan" package with chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad and fixins for 110 guests. The chef is a treasure, because the food was delicious without tasting mass-produced or luke-warm (as wedding food can be). Can't recommend highly enough!

We're on our way to our honeymoon, but I had I take the time to take the time to thank Angela, Micah, Chef Zachary, Peter, April and everyone else at that help make our wedding day absolutely beautiful!!! Planning a wedding is stressful, but Angela & April made the process very simple and easy for Terry and I. I had no idea what I wanted to do with several aspects, but Angela guided me through & came up some awesome suggestion. She had the wedding party in order and coordinated the perfect ceremony. The venue was absolutely beautiful! The decorations were amazing, we received a lot of compliments! Micah did an excellent job officiating and performing a breathtaking ceremony as well as doubling up as our DJ. He really worked the crowd & made the reception run smoothly! Our favorite part was the newly wed game. To Chef Zach, the food was absolutely delicious and we have a box of cookies for our honeymoon! Thank you Peter and the camera crew for capturing all the important moments on our special day! We loved the way you guys played them back during the reception! We will be purchasing the video. You all did an amazing job! When we renew our vows a decade from now we will definitely come back to Occasions @ Stone River!

This is the best place to have your wedding. It's absolutely beautiful!!! I had the pleasure working with the office manager April, the coordinator Angela, the DJ Peter, the Owner John. All of them were absolutely wonderful and it was like having another family. You all were so awesome in every way possible. Zach the chef, his food is amazing. Wow I was impressed on how good the food was. Best ever!!!! The rest of the staff, you all are so helpful and courteous. Awesome group of people at Occasions at Stone River.

I could not have asked for more! my wedding was a dream come true. Not only did I marry my best friend and man of my dreams 06/27/15, I had the ceremony and reception of my dreams!

The ENTIRE Occasions staff was amazing! Angela is the perfect name for the coordinator at Occasions. She is an ANGEL-a! The venue is beautiful and provided just the feel we were shooting for. My guests are still talking about our wedding. Angela was there throughout the entire process as well as the day of the wedding. She was on top of things, including the things that I didn't think of.

The DJ and his crew were MAGNIFICENT! Again, my guests are still talking. So many people have said what a great time they had, and how they never left a wedding truly feeling like they had a night out on the town.

Occasions was worth EVERY single solitary penny we spent AND more! I am so thankful and forever grateful for the Occasions and their staff. Our day was PERFECT!!!!

Angela- thank you so much for all of your help in putting all of the wedding details together on our wedding day. Your calm personality knack for organization ensured that our wedding went pefectly, without a hitch-- even when we forgot to bring our exit bubbles! I can't thank you enough.

Peter- thank you SOOOOO much for being such an incredible DJ at our wedding! You were more than a DJ!! Our guests were going on and on about how awesome you were! (Also- they thought your shoes were awesome). Your professionalism, DJ abilities, and facilitation of our wedding were above anything we could've imagined! We can't thank you enough!

Chef Zach- thank you for pleasing all of my guests with your delicious food! We chose the Napa menu and substituted green beans instead of steamed veggies, added fettichini alfredo as a side, and upgraded the salad to the one with mandarin oranges. Everything was delicious!!

occasions was booked for our date so we chose to use them for their off site catering service and we are so glad we did! They do everything! They are super friendly, helpful and accommodating. They arrived on time, set up all decorations and brought back the prettiest and most delicious taco bar you have ever seen! Our guests loved the dinner! Pleasure to work with!

Occasions was everything we could have asked for and more. We had an amazing experience. Angela is amazing. She was always there for any and everything we needed, including serving the bride and groom there food and making sure we(brides parents) were served as well. We can not express how good the food was. Everyone said the food was fabulous. It was so nice to have everything there at our fingertips no matter what is was. We were able to go early that morning to do our extra things we wanted to do. Peter the Dj was great in keeping things going all night. I would recommend occasions to everyone.

We were looking for a venue with a one-stop shop and once we found Occasions at Stone River we did not need to look any further! I cannot say enough about how wonderful they made our wedding planning and wedding day experiences. The venue was all that we wanted.....it was all-inclusive with chapel and event hall at the same location, they have their own décor, chef, cake vendor and have a beautiful landscape of greenery and flowers all around the property and much more! And everything was customizable to our vision. Ms. Angela (the wedding coordinator) is so nice and readily available to help and accommodate our wishes, she was awesome! Overall, I couldn't imagine us getting married anywhere else. It was perfect!

Betty and her Staff at Occasions at Stone River are fantastic. I chose to have my wedding there in 2009. Betty took care of every detail and made it possible for a very special night with my husband and our guests.

It truly was a magical evening and everyone enjoyed themselves. From the pre-wedding arrangements to the departure, it was perfect!

I would say they have special perks that other places didn't offer - like a gaming room for the Groom and the fellas to play Wii before the Wedding, there are so many color options, and centerpieces to choose from, but my favorite was Peter the DJ! He customized our intro to the reception with a recording that shared special moments from our lives, as well as a special tribute to each of the bridal party to let others know why you chose them to stand next to you on this big day!

Makes me smile every time I think about my wedding day :)

This place have everything for every budget. We didn't think we would be able to afford the wedding of our dreams and Occasions made it happen! Angela was amazing, she was there to answer any questions and was so helpful during the whole process. On the day of our wedding she was right there to make sure everything went smoothly. Not one thing went wrong everything was so PERFECT! I also have to say what a wonderful meal Chef Zach put together for our reception. We did the pasta menu and it was delicious! I loved that Occasions did everything.

It seems that God led my husband and I to Occasions at Stone River. This venue offers so much, such as themes, colors, DJ, Photobooth, their own professional chef. The food was amazing and they have tastings twice a year. Even though we had made arrangements for our own Wedding Cake, Photography, Florist...they have this to offer. Angela Johnson the Wedding Planner is right there for you at anytime when you have a question. I had a vintage theme wedding, they had all the centerpieces, old doors that were put at the front of the chapel. One of the most touching parts of this venue is they have a beautiful staircase that the bride walks down. It gives sucn an emotional experience for the groom and guest seeing the bride walk down these stairs.
They are such a caring Christian business, I would recommend this venue to anyone who loves the country and a golf course right next door. They will work with you closely on what you want to make your dream day come true.
Too, it's so convenient to have the wedding and reception in one location, you never lose a guest.
I just can't say enough about how wonderful and smoothly our wedding day went. It was perfect. Thank you Angela, Johnny, Betty, and Staff!!!

This place is the perfect venue, services, and staff. Angela has such a easy way about her her calmness and coolness has a grip on everything you are worried about, when she says shes got it, just don't worry because believe me she does. Peter(MC/Dj) the man behind the scenes was fantastic,from meeting him at our food tasting, to the phone consult (which I cant express how helpful this was to us) he was a total support for us to lean on. The day of the ceremony he was working with our vendors and just ran the reception perfectly. For the reception man all I can say is Zach(chef) is the truth, that food was so good and those green beans oh man!!!. When you go and book you have to make it to a tasting this guy knows what hes doing and he does it well, extremely well its no joke. And lastly but far from the least was Micah(officiant), I saved him for last because as we said the day of our ceremony he was the icing on a perfect cake, he was so comforting and supportive to us he put us so at ease and handled or ceremony with such care, it brought us nothing but happiness.This whole place from the staff (who actually look like they like working there), the venue (we were sent about a million selfies of people in the gazebo), the food, just everything we had to put it frankly a perfect no hassles day.

Words cannot express how wonderful everything turned out at Occasions! My daughter, Re'Anna, was married on July 6,2014 at Occasions. We could not have planned it any better. April in the office has been wonderful handling all my crazy questions and dealing with payments. Angela was so great doing all the photos and directing rehearsal, all the waiting time and crazy nerves. The bridal photos were so beautiful, I can't wait to see the wedding/reception photos. Peter with all the bride/groom requests for the reception, you handled everything so well and the reception went so smooth and everyone had a great time. Chef at the reception, the food was great and everyone loved it. Everyone working the bar and food for the reception did such a good job packing up everything for us and serving us with a smile. I have gotten many emails from everyone that streamed it over the web and they loved being able to be a part of it and said it looked so good they felt like they were there. I can simply go on and on about Occasions! Such a fabulous venue! My husband and I were on a very strict budget and had been looking everywhere before coming upon Occasions, only to find that other venues were super expensive and way out of our price range. Ms. Betty made it possible for us to get everything we wanted for our wedding. They have everything you would ever need for a wedding- ceremony, reception, food, cake- everything! They even had a pond with swans and also doves that you can symbolically release. Ms. Angela was incredible with the planning of the wedding and made sure that everything went so smoothly. She was also our photographer and took amazing pictures. Peter was a gem with the music selection- that man has a lot of patience! I never knew how hard it was to pick songs for a wedding! And, Chef Zach's food- the rancher selection- was such a hit! Everyone loved it! Mr. Crenshaw was the minister at the ceremony and was so thoughtful to get to know us and our love story. I am a very frugal person and I hate spending money, however, this place was just the right price and I have no regrets about my purchase. They have so many options, you can truly customize your wedding and your price. It was a wonderful deal! If you are looking for a beautiful, all-inclusive wedding venue on a small budget, check out Occasions! You will not be disappointed. :)

When planning my wedding at Occasions At Stone River, my main contacts were Betty (owner) and Angela (Wedding Coordinator and more). These ladies are AMAZING!! I am so appreciative of all that they did, starting with our first meeting, to ensure that we were able to have a wedding worth remembering. Their website is perfect! It clearly details all that is to be expected in reference to hosting a wedding at their venue, including prices.

Both ladies kept an open line of communication with me, and all that was promised was delivered. The chapel and reception decor was PERFECT; The food and service during the reception were OUTSTANDING...hats off to the chef!!; The cakes were AWESOME, (exactly what I asked for); Everything seemed to run so smoothly; ..and on the day of my wedding Angela ensured that all of my request were filled, down to the smallest detail.

I truly enjoyed myself, and can say that I definitely had the wedding of my dreams. Occasions at Stone River ROCKS!! Thank you, and your other staff members, for doing all that you did to ensure that I had a wedding that was worth remembering.

Occasions at Stone River was the first (and only) venue we looked at when trying to find the location for our ceremony.
Their flexibility and willingness to do whatever it takes allowed us to be worry free and enjoy our wedding day. Our guests loved the food (we chose the Rancher) and Peter and Micah kept our guests entertained throughout the afternoon.
I highly recommend Occasions at Stone River if you are looking for a venue with a staff that treats you like family and goes above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. We are so thankful to have found them!

We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at Occasions, they have such a great set-up. Everyone practically bent over backwards to make it perfect for us. Betty and Johnny were both great and a joy to get to know. Angela was great at communicating with me throughout the process and Diane had to fill in for Angela and checked up on me numerous times the day of the wedding. She was fabulous and everyone thought she did a great job. Everyone loved Peter the DJ and he got people out there dancing, the food was awesome and everyone should try those scalloped potatoes!! We had such great time and even though we had ice on our wedding day everyone still did what they needed to do and our wedding was everything we wanted. From the very beginning we were impressed with the venue and the professional guidance we received from yourself and Peter. I can't say enough about how accommodating you and the staff were to meet all of our needs. The week prior to the wedding, I was on the phone with Peter several times talking about the live music for the ceremony, and the band for the reception. I really appreciate his flexibility on some changes that Melissa made one day before the wedding. I have nothing but high praises for the entire staff. Our wedding was on 4/27/13 at Occasions at Stone River. I was so very happy with everything from the very 1st detail to the very last minute of our wedding and reception. Our wedding Coordinator Angela Johnson went out of her way to make sure we were all taken care and that everything was exactly how I wanted it. Our DJ Peter Silander made sure our music was exactly how we wanted and was so caring about everything. I had read good reviews about Occasions and that is why we had our wedding there, but I never thought that it would as perfect as it was. At the end of the night we left there feeling totally happy with it all. On our way to our honeymoon destination we were coming up with our next special occasion so that we could go back, LOL! I would totally recommend Occasions to anyone that is looking for a special place that will see to it that you are taking care of in every way possible and that everything is perfect. AWESOME JOB! We had our wedding here almost a month ago and it was wonderful! We were able to bring in our own decorations and use some of theirs as well. They accommodated a lot of our needs and adjusted to me changing my "vision" every week (thank you Pinterest) with no issues at all!
The food was amazing and all the guest kept coming up to tell us this. Everyone loved the photobooth that they have! It was a big hit!
Angela is awesome and heaven sent!!! She made my stress level drop everytime we talked! The DJ, the owners, and the staff are beyond nice and very professional as well! I loved every moment of our wedding and I'm so glad we picked Occasions as our venue! It was the Best Day Ever! :)

There are so helpful with everything. I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day. They took care of everything and made sure everything went smoothly. Occasions at Stone River is the place to go if you want an elegant atmosphere at a reasonable price! Our wedding was less than a week ago (Saturday, June 23, 2012), and I could not wait to return from my honeymoon and write a great review!

Although my husband and I live in the Grand Prairie area (about an hour away from the venue), we knew that Occasions at Stone River was the our wedding venue as soon as we saw it! Our wedding theme was "country elegance", and Occasions at Stone River delivered!

Venue: The venue looks exactly like the pictures! We were stunned when we saw it for the first time. It's really beautiful. I loved the ceremony area because it was an intimate setting. Sometimes, large spaces make it seem like there is a small number of guests. Our guests kept raving about the wedding! They loved the laid back, country atmosphere outside. They also loved the setting inside the ceremony building and the elegance of the reception space. We had our wedding inside, but everyone loved seeing the swans and the gazebo.

Food: Everyone loooooved the food! Our families know good food, and several people thanked us for choosing good food. We chose the Ranchers Menu, which included smoked pork, beef, and turkey along with a roll. We chose mashed potatoes and green bean almondine for the sides. We added a special punch that Occasions makes. People kept saying how much they loved it. It was really good. The food was great.

Music: Peter the Motivator DJ was a joy to work with during our wedding. He had some problems finding some songs that we really wanted, but he fixed the issue and joined up with Micah, the DJ. Micah added the other songs and kept that going while Peter kept the party going! Peter was very organized and contacted me many times before the wedding. He was personable, fun, and happy... which was a joy. His great ideas such as the money dance and the anniversary dance as well as the special entrance really kept the party going. Some people were worried that the wedding would not be as exciting because our ceremony was at 11:30am, but it was quite the opposite... thanks to Peter! When I had no idea of what to do, Peter filled it in and made great choices. Peter and Micah worked it out at our wedding!

Service: I can't say enough about Ms. Angela and Ms. Betty! They were so nice and accommodating from the very start! They were awesome. They had ideas and were in control and laid back even when I was a worried bride. Our cake caterer had an accident and left us with no wedding cake caterer less than two months before our wedding. Ms.Angela called one of her contacts in Royse City (Simply Everything),
and we were able to do a tasting that same day. The cake was delicious, creative, and less expensive than the other cake! Ms. Angela and Ms. Betty went above and beyond my expectations! Also, the servers at the wedding were very courteous and professional.

My husband and I had the wedding of our DREAMS! Our wedding day was so much MORE than we could have imagined. I don't know how they did it, but they "wowed" me ... and I'm the bride! lol. I felt like we had a wedding that costs twice as much as it really did. I would suggest Occasions at Stone River to any and every bride! Don't worry about it being far. We had a packed ceremony and reception. Everyone made it. Don't worry about having an early wedding (if you choose that option), it can still be just as fun if not more fun than an evening one! CHOOSE OCCASIONS at STONE RIVER today!

The staff was excellent,professional and very service oriented. The wedding coordinators, the DJ, the photographer, the videographer and the pastor on site were all outstanding, courteous, polite and had a positive attitude. I wish I would have trusted her and Occasions more from start and it would have saved me lots of $. I brought in way too many little decorations and such which were not needed, when she says they have candles, ashtrays, and other items believe her! Also paid for outside florist, which really isn't needed with all the centerpieces they provide. Great place to get married!

Occasions was the first place my husband and I looked at for our wedding ceremony/reception and we booked it that day. I love the all inclusive feel of occasions but the wedding party still has control of the day and what they want. The catering occasions provides is top of the line, big shout out to Chef Zach and his amazing team. Everyone raved about the food. Angela our wedding day coordinator is the best at what she does. I couldn't have had my wedding at a better place. The weather was horrible that day and they accomidated the wedding party and guests surprisingly well. They even escorted our guests from the chapel to the reception hall with huge umbrellas due to the rain. The food was excellent and the DJ was absolutely wonderful. Everything was decorated in a way that matched the exact colors of my wedding with no extra charge. We were allowed to bring in our own alcohol which cut down the cost of the wedding. Betty, her husband, and our wedding planner (which was included in the low cost of our wedding) were the best! I had no worries the day of my wedding (except the rain) because Darby, our planner, made everything go so smoothly. She was so sweet and even put up with some of my bridezilla moments without ever taking a smile off her face. I was a little upset when I walked into the reception and they had the meat set out to be put on rolls but Darby quickly changed that and within a few minutes, those pesky rolls were gone and they were slicing the meat on the cutting board. Everyone told me this was the best wedding they had ever attended from the awesome officiant to the smallest little thing like the perfect lighting. Everything was AMAZING!!!!!

Occasions at Stone River was such a wonderful venue for both a reception and a wedding. My wife and I fell absolutely in love with them the moment we walked through the door to preview the site. They have many great services available. They have an in-house DJ and Caterer that are known throughout the DFW area as the best. Throughout the reception and afterward people kept commenting on how great the food and the DJ was. You cannot do better if you are looking for one place to take care of all the loose ends for you. They will do as much or as little as you would like them to do. Our only complaint is that we were unable to have the actual ceremony there, There chapel holds around 200 and we needed a little more than 250. Other than that we still used the bridal suite and the reception area! It was the wedding of our dreams!!!

I am SO happy I used Occasions for my wedding reception! I love how reasonable their prices are, and the food is delicious! I bought the package that included the decor. They brought all of the centerpieces to my venue, and it looked so beautiful. I love that I didn't have to worry about decorating the tables! They were even willing to help place all the favors, and other personal items.

Loved the venue the day I saw it. Beautiful inside and out. Everyone there is so sweet and they have it all .. ceremony, reception, wedding planner, cook and dj. We enjoyed working with them and the wedding was a hit.

Occasions at Stone River was my venue for my ceremony and reception. I LOVE the chapel!!! It was absolutely PERFECT in EVERY WAY!! If the night time reservation was still available when we went to visit, we would have chosen that. Occasions has dramatic chandeliers and several different lighting options which obviously can be seen better at night. Needless to say...I still picked Occasions and changed my wedding from night time to day time Just Because I loved it so much!! I searched and searched for venues and never really liked any others. The first day we visited Occasions at Stone River...we booked it. Angela was my coordinator and she is wonderful! We felt like she was one of our friends and she understood my vision and was so easy to work with. The day of my wedding I didn't have to worry about what anything looked like besides myself. I knew from getting to know Angela and knowing that we were on the same page with the look and feel of the wedding that if any 'glitches' happened, she would fix it exactly how I wanted it. THATS a great feeling!!!! The better news is....everything went perfectly and all of our guests commented on how smooth and beautiful the wedding was. Everyone we talked to said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I would definitly recomment Occasions at Stone River. They really care about you and your guests and it shows.

The best people to work with … Angela and Jeniffer were both great and patiently answered all my concerns . Micah the DJ delivered the kind of entertainment that we wanted . The food ! So amazing our guests loved it . Price of the place , you’re getting your money’s worth and Johnny our officiant and the owner was the best

Low stress all inclusive

This was a 2nd wedding for both of us. We wanted a traditional wedding but low key with a few flares. I got exactly what I wanted at Occasions! Johnny, April and the whole group made everything happen. They know what they are doing and they pull it off without a hitch! The only thing we had to bring the day of was bouquets and us! It was beautiful and flowed perfectly, from getting ready, ceremony, pictures, dinner and dancing. I couldn't believe so many hours had passed so quickly and we left as husband and wife. Would DEFINITELY recommend!!

We chose the Occasions at Stone River for our off-site catering, and they did an amazing job! They were very easy to work with, and the food was delicious. The staff at our wedding was friendly and so helpful! We can't thank them enough!

WOW!!!!! That actually is enough said, however, it would be doing a dis-service to Angela and the staff. This was a trying time due to the weather but Angela made it seamless. From the Chapel to the reception (food was spectacular and the cake (Lakeside BAkery in Rowlett) was one of the best I have ever eaten. Once we chose Occasions everything fell into place, they stayed in touch and were always responsive to any inquiry we had. I have had numerous people come up to me since the wedding just to tell me that it was the best wedding and reception they had ever attended, and I have to admit I was dreading it. It WAS the best one I have ever been to. Now granted it is the only one I have been to there, so I expect all of theirs come out this well. Kudos to the Owners, Management, Staff and recommended vendors, I cannot thank all of you enough. You made a rough and trying time not only bearable but fun, relaxed and effortless. Occasions at Stone River hosted my wedding reception. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was beautiful and the food was delicious. Peter, the DJ, was incredible. He took charge of the reception events and guided us along the way. Angela, the hostess from Occasions, was ever present to make sure all went as planned. I chose the pasta dishes and they were outstanding. All of my guests have commented on how delicious the dinner was. I did upgrade my salad choice to include walnuts and oranges. It was well worth it. I felt no stress and worry on my wedding day. I recommend Occasions At Stone River to all brides.

This venue is BEAUTIFUL during the summer. I married my best friend in June of 2016 and the entire process of working with the staff was effortless. Everything from set up to tear down was in que. I couldnt have asked for a more perfect day! Thank you April, Angela and Betty!

A friend of mine got married at Occasions in May of 2010 and I liked the place quite a bit , but what really was the deciding factor for me was her DJ Peter, so I booked my October Wedding here as well. I didn't have one person complain about anything everyone who attened out wedding said "it was the best wedding they'd ever been to". How often do you find that people have nothing to complain about?? Its RARE. Everyone complimented on the personal touches of our wedding, how good the food was, how well put together everything was....everything was just as I had always hoped it would be....perfect. I have to go back to Peter the DJ, this man is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met. His work truely speaks to the good person he is and lives to be. When Peter did our "Love Story" (A MUST if you have your wedding here) he spent over 16 hours working with us to record our story perfectly. He came to our house 2 different times to make sure everything would be perfect. He was patient while we recorded some things over and over and over. While all of this was alot of work it was truely worth it in the end. Our reception is what made the wedding "the best wedding anyone had ever been to". My day couldn't have turned out any better and I owe most of that to Occasions Staff, and to Peter Silander.....thank you so very much.

My then-fiance and I visited Occasions two days after we got engaged. We both knew it was "the one" and booked our wedding date on the spot. Angela was great in helping us and answering all our questions - and trust me, I had a LOT!!! I was one worried bride, but she ran through the process beforehand and made my husband and I the priority on our wedding day. From having someone scrape ice/salt off the sidewalks so it wouldn't ruin my dress, to waiting to put down the rose pedals so they wouldn't be tracked down the aisle as people walked in, she thought of everything. And she was flexible - I changed our centerpieces the day before our wedding and she didn't bat an eye. I would recommend Occasions again in a heartbeat - my wedding day was one of the best days of my life, and I had so much less to worry about because Angela went the extra mile!

I had my wedding here and the only thing I wish I could've ask for was a written schedule of events I'm sure they could have & things proabably would've gone smoother, so just a heads up if your the organized type and want everything to go according to plan! but venue was beautiful! Now I see they added a "rustic" option so that's a plus for Texans lol it looks pretty on they're FB. Overall it a wonderful place but just do a lot of planning ahead if you want everything to go smooth! I only had 6 months so the earlier the better :)

I'm not sure if all of the ratings for this place are so high because I got married there when they first opened, but my experience there was horrible. The only good thing about the place was that the food was delicious. After we signed the contract they began to tell us that everything was an extra fee. The coordinator that I was assigned had another job and was almost impossible to get a hold of. I was not allowed to pick out my own table center pieces. The DJ did not like my choice of music and continuously tried to talk me out of it. They day of they had bows on the chairs in the chapel. I saw them taking them off and asked why. They said they were for the wedding before mine and that if I wanted them it would be an extra charge...which I was never informed of. They were going to charge us to put cushions on the chairs in the reception area. During our reception our coordinator kept rushing us from one thing to the next. At 10 pm she told us that she was going to go get the bubbles ready for us to leave even though we were not ready. I told her that we werent, but she went ahead and told us to say goodbye to everyone and went to get the bubbles ready. We had the space until 12 pm. All in all my experience here was terrible and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone!!!!!
