Choosing the perfect venue was one of the most important decisions for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we toured Oakhaven, we received truly exceptional care—anticipating our needs before we could even voice them and consistently going above and beyond to make us feel like family. Their warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.
The venue itself is breathtaking, with beautifully landscaped grounds that offered countless photo opportunities. The multiple houses surrounding the venue allowed us more than enough room to have all our friends and family on site while having private space when needed.
The Manor house and Cabin gave us peace of mind and allowed everyone in the wedding party to get ready in comfort. The elegant indoor spaces provided a warm and inviting setting for our celebration, and our guests were consistently impressed by both the ambiance and the attention to detail throughout the facilities. The best part, you never have to worry about sharing your weekend with any other party.
The barn is updated and they recent addition added more room for us to comfortably fit all our guests, while having plenty of room to dance. One highlight was the accessory room, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to create unique details and added touches which saved us hundreds.
One particularly unforgettable touch was the Model-T car available for our use. Taking photos with this classic car added a unique, vintage charm to our day, and the ride made us feel like stepping back in time. This thoughtful amenity was a guest favorite and made our celebration even more memorable.
Jeanette, Elizabeth, Bob, Jaden, and Gary remained outstanding—professional, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They worked closely with us during planning, offering helpful suggestions and listening to our ideas. Jeanette and Elizabeth saved our big day when we had issues with one of our vendors by finding a last-minute replacement. They also added little touches to the itinerary simply because they knew it would make me smile. On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly thanks to their expertise and unwavering support.
Overall, our wedding exceeded all our dreams, thanks in large part to this incredible venue and its remarkable team. Patience (owner) and the staff pour their heart into making Oakhaven a one-of-a-kind venue. It shows in every way. They have so many nods to the past while incorporating modern amenities. We enthusiastically recommend it to any couple seeking a beautiful location, outstanding staff and amenities, and a truly unforgettable event.

Our wedding at Oakhaven on Aug 17, 2024 was a dream come true! After touring several venues, there was no question that Oakhaven was the location for us. The rustic backdrop, the gorgeous barn, the additional onsite amenities and exceptional staff were exactly what we wanted. We invested in the All-Inclusive package which includes the venue from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, the most critical vendors (i.e. caterer, baker, photographer, and DJ) and two of the onsite accommodations (The Cottage and The Manor House) for the entire time - we also rented Woodrow's Cabin and The Bungalow for additional guests. We hired the caterer for the rehearsal dinner as well and hosted that in The Manor House on Friday night - it was such a great environment for the wedding party and extended family to get to know each other and kick off the celebration.
Jeanette and the entire Oakhaven staff were exceptional throughout the entire process but absolutely blew us away with how seamlessly they executed the rehearsal, ceremony and reception, including a very last-minute decision to move the ceremony indoors due to weather (we still started exactly on time).
There is no question we would choose Oakhaven again and would be happy to provide additional detail to anyone considering this venue or in the process of planning your big day!! -

Choose oakhaven
Oakhaven Properties was the first venue we looked at when we started our wedding planning journey. We got the pleasure of meeting with Jeanette, and I knew immediately that it was going to be the perfect place for our special day. I did, however, explore other options, but nothing came close to giving me the feeling Oakhaven did. Not only is the entire property absolutely breathtaking, but they have 4 different beautiful ceremony locations, a considerable amount of great quality decorations in their decor room (made the day WAY less stressful), and multiple houses on their property you can rent for family/wedding party to stay. SO convenient when you have family and friends coming from out of state! Finally, THE STAFF WAS INCREDIBLE!!! Jeanette, Kara, Gary, Jeanette’s daughter (apologies for forgetting her name but she was a gem)!!! Kara was in charge of the day, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person! She was so helpful and made me feel so special. I am more grateful for her than she will ever know! If I had to do it a thousand times over, I’d choose Oakhaven every time. An experience I will truly never forget! -

Amazing - 1000% recommend
Oakhaven was truly a dream come true for our wedding venue! Jeanette was quick to answer any and all questions. The accommodations was a big plus for us and was a key point in our decision to select Oakhaven as our venue. Our guests were in awe of the entire property and our wedding party was comfortable the entire weekend (being housed in site). We selected the fire pit area for our welcome event and it was a huge hit. The Oakhaven team was there at ever turn for anything we needed or had questions on! I recommend Oakhaven to anyone looking for the wedding of their dreams. Thank you for being such a huge part of our future! We hope to return and stay in the future to reflect on the memories we hold closest to our hearts! -

My Dream Wedding
Oak Haven was one of the best decisions I made for our big day. The staff was phenomenal with all of their help from when we first came to tour all the way until the end of our wedding night. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a gorgeous place to get married with people that treat you like family. My overall best decision though was hiring Jeanette The Wedding Day Lady, as our wedding planner. She and her team were absolutely amazing through the whole wedding planning process. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you have ever dreamed of for your wedding day plus more. Jeanette was always there to comfort my mom and I and would answer calls/ messages any time she was needed. I am so thankful for her and her time. -

DREAM wedding venue
From the day we toured Oakhaven we knew that venue was the one for us!! The people were absolutely phenomenal in all aspects! We hired Jeanette as our wedding planner and she was with us EVERY SINGLE step of the way and was amazing on the wedding day! From the beautiful three wedding site (we are bias because we loved the oak tree) all the way to the gorgeous barn the views are breathtaking. The on-site housing was beyond convenient for my family who lives out of state. I cannot recommend Oakhaven enough and praise their staff. -

Amazingly Beautiful - both Oakhaven Properties and Jeanette Wagoner
Start with an inspiration photo, find the venue that fits your inspiration, and connect with the finest wedding planner ever! If you choose Oakhaven Properties and The Wedding Day Lady (Jeanette Wagoner) then you’re nearly done creating your dream wedding. We visited Oakhaven to make sure it is as lovely as the pictures showed us – and it is. Since we had family coming from Vermont, we checked out the Manor House, Bungalow, Woodrow’s Cabin and the Honeymoon Cottage – all of them were beyond what we wanted and needed for our families. The weather on New Year’s Eve could be questionable so we had to make sure we could transition the ceremony site to the Grand Dutch Barn without losing the ambiance we wanted – and WOW…we got our dream wedding. The ceremony was in the Barn decorated as a “winter wonderland” and it was breathtaking – it exceeded our vision from the inspiration photo. Jeanette and her team helped to decorate using items we brought and items from her stash. The bridal party dressed in the Manor and Groom’s Quarters while Jeanette and crew put the finishing touches on the decorations. I was in awe when Jeanette pulled back the curtain for me to enter the venue and walk down the aisle.
Keep in mind that all of the planning and decisions that come with a wedding (caterer, bakery, bartender, string quartet, photographer, officiant) were done via phone calls between my Mom in Vermont and Jeanette. And Jeanette worked with us calmly and without agitation when we had to delay the wedding date. So for literally the best day of your life, Oakhaven and Jeanette will take fabulous care to make it happen.

We all fell in love with Oakhaven when touring venues for our daughter's August wedding. It is the perfect property to accommodate an entire weekend of wedding festivities -- from the bridal luncheon to the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. Thoughtful details everywhere on the whole property, from the dressing rooms to the firepit to the gorgeous oak tree ceremony site added something extra special to our celebration. We used all the accommodations on site for the wedding party and out of town guests, which created more time to enjoy one another all weekend. The staff was so helpful and professional, yet felt like family by the end of the weekend. So many guests commented on how perfect the venue was and we have to agree! We can highly recommend Oakhaven to handle your special day with care!! -

Would Highly Recommend - Beautiful and Accommodating Venue
THE PLANNING OF YOUR DAUGHTER’s WEDDING! One never expects how quickly that day will arrive but when it does, you pray that she and her betrothed will choose an absolute perfect ‘rain-free’ day and a venue that will be the most spectacular in every way. I truly believe all mothers want that for their daughter! Well, I was the mother of the bride and although her wedding day WEATHER did not quite turn out as Mama had planned, I can say without hesitation that her selected VENUE and venue team DID. How very thankful I was that the bridal couple chose to do a First Look for we were able to get the most amazing photos OUTSIDE prior to what would be a downpour around the scheduled time for the wedding! The Oakhaven Team and other outside vendor teams stepped up in a big way to ensure the indoor space for the ceremony (that beautiful barn) was truly stunning….even while prepping for an improbable outdoor wedding up until the last minute. They saw our hearts and not dollar signs all throughout the planning process and….most especially…on one of the most SPECIAL days in the life of our family. One of our outside vendor teams even stated, “I have never serviced a wedding here but I have been doing this a long time and this one is one of the more beautiful and organized venues I have ever worked with.” As I (Mom) stated at the reception, “Sometimes the most IMperfect situations (referring to the rain that did not allow our daughter to marry under Oakhaven’s beautiful Oak Tree) become the most PERFECT in the end!” Our daughter and son-in-law LOVED their wedding day…would not have changed anything about it. They also could not have chosen a better venue or venue team for their wedding. Our family is truly grateful and you and your family will be as well should you choose to work with the Oakhaven team. -

The absolute BEST venue we could have chosen for our wedding!
Oakhaven is 100000% the best and all the people that work there are too! They were so helpful with everything and always easy to get in contact with. Make sure that you use Jeanette and the Wedding Day Lady team for your planner or day of coordinator. They make you feel like family. I honestly could not have been more thankful for everything they did for us that day. We had the perfect wedding day thanks to Oakhaven and Jeanette and her team! It’s also so nice that the entire wedding party can stay at the venue. The houses are so nice and have plenty of space. We are so happy with the choice we made to have our wedding here! Oak Haven is the best place to have your wedding. It is top notch in every way. The workers there are very professional and willing to help you from start to finish. Oakhaven's Venue truly gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams! I pretty much already had my mind made up from just looking online and going to a couple of weddings there before but the day we stepped foot on the property for our tour sealed the deal for us! Gary, Jeanette, her daughter and the rest of her team are absolutely amazing!! From beginning to end they were all there every step of the way for every single question and any need we had. They truly made the experience a dream come true. You have absolutely everything you need on site from the manor house, grooms quarters, the barn, multiple outdoor wedding ideas, plus indoor wedding setup for the barn in case of rain. You also have endless photo opportunities on the gorgeous grounds for your engagement photos, bridal portraits and wedding photography. I could go on and on about all the good things they have to offer but I will just leave it by saying you will not be disappointed if you choose Oakhaven for your wedding venue! My whole experience with them is one I will cherish forever and never forget! Thank you so much for giving us the best wedding ever!!

Thank you Oakhaven Properties for being the perfect wedding venue! My wife and I must’ve toured over 25 venues across North Carolina and it wasn’t until we stepped foot into Oakhaven that we felt we were not making any compromises. When we went to the Oakhaven staff with our vision they gave us the freedom to execute it fully and we’re so grateful for all the vendors that made it all come together! Special thanks to Jeanette & Gary! They’re the best! They were incredibly accommodating throughout the wedding process, always making themselves available on the random days we wanted to stop by the venue to see something or show family around. In terms of value, I don’t think you can find a better venue across the Carolinas or Virginia. Trust us, we looked! For our wedding weekend we booked the manor house, the honeymoon cottage, the bungalow, and the cabin which allowed our bridal party of 18 along with our immediate families to stay on the property with us all weekend long, which was incredible. The venue also has a decor room which is included when you book the manor house which has tons of stuff to make decorating the space easy! Would highly recommend booking this venue for your wedding weekend, you will not find better people to work or a more beautiful venue! From Savion & Elyce ( Bride & Groom). -

Where to begin... Oakhaven is HEAVEN! I wanted a venue with overnight accommodations, and that is just how I found Oakhaven. Oakhaven is a beautiful operating farm with the perfect landscape for a romantic wedding! There is are three beautiful options for your ceremony on site and four beautiful overnight accommodations all within walking distance! Our wedding was welcomed with a HUGE storm and Mrs. Jeanette and her employees SEEMINGLESSLY migrated our ceremony from the Oaktree to the Barn in a matter of minutes! The team is amazing and the property is stunning! Let me also brag about the price... Oakhaven could EASILY be up there in the top tier prices for venues, however, they offer very reasonable prices whether you want your wedding to be all day or all weekend! Plus, they have a decoration barn full of wonderful decorations for every bride to use! Can't say enough amazing things about this venue and its employees. -

I dj'ed a wedding there on August 14th. What a great venue. The people were so nice and the venue was so beautiful. Although it came up a big thunderstorm right before the ceremony, they were prepared and ready to move the ceremony inside. Dream Wedding
If you have ever imagined your dream wedding, Oakhaven is the perfect place for those dreams to become a reality. As soon as we drove into the property it was all surreal. The grounds, the houses, the barn are all so beautiful. Gary the venue manager was so hospitable and down to earth while showing us around. Jeanette the wedding coordinator is fantastic as well. She insists that you are happy and everything runs like clockwork. Both Gary and Jeanette are very professional and informative. We were over the moon with the all the accommodations and the Barn! Oakhaven is a magical place! They will do everything to make all your dreams come true! -

WOW!! How to even start this review, Oakhaven was a dream come true well before our wedding day. At the start of looking for a venue we came across this one, and they made it so easy to say yes it had everything that I could have ever dreamed for my one and only wedding. Leading up to the big day Oakhaven's staff was very flexible and willing to help in anyway that we needed. They had some ideas that I had not even thought about, and those ideas are some of the big things that my guest talked about that magical night.
But lets talk about the day of... I have dreamed of that day for so many years and honestly everything went on without a hitch as far as I am concerned. I felt like a princess from start to finish (with the help of Romeo and the beautiful white carriage). Thanks so much to Jeanette and the Oakhaven staff they kept everything going smoothly and were able to keep large loud families in line lol.
I would recommend this Venue to anyone, however it was much more than a venue it was more of a wedding experience which is exactly what I wanted. So sorry for the such scattered review, I am not a writer. But 100% Oakhaven was the best decision we could have made. -

To say this venue is gorgeous is an understatement! We had seven more venue visits when we toured Oakhaven that we immediately cancelled. Gary was fantastic to work with booking the venue and Jeanette Wagoner, The Wedding Day Lady, and the entire Oakhaven staff made sure every detail of our day was perfect. We chose to use Jeanette as our wedding planner and she found us the best vendors, all of who we were thrilled with. The accommodations on property are spectacular and we loved having the wedding party and family staying with us on site. We were also very pleased with the level of attention to detail placed on COVID precautions. We would absolutely recommend Oakhaven to any couple looking for their wedding venue! -

To say Oakhaven is beautiful is an understatement. There are so many options to choose for the ceremony and each of them are beautiful. The barn is amazing, and provides the perfect atmosphere for the reception. Gary and Jeanette are amazing to work with and have been so kind to us throughout the process, always available to answer any questions and even throughout this crazy time with COVID they have been extremely accommodating. The other staff were so kind as well. After the reception, Brandon who works there drove us and the photographer around in the rain to shoot more photos after everyone left. Nicole and Jessica were also great to work with!! They provided an experience that every bride and groom and their families deserve! Seriously, choose Oakhaven and you’ll have the best wedding day ever! -

Beautiful Venue
This beautiful wedding venue has gorgeous views with a spectacular sunset view. I have been a guest for many weddings here. They have a great and helpful staff that always can be found. They have really kept in touch during the ongoing Covid pandemic. I feel very safe going to this venue during these times. I recommend to everyone! -

We love Oakhaven! Not only because of the breathe taking views, but also the genuine kindness from all it’s employees. We chose to hire Jeanette as our wedding planner and it was quite possible the best choice we made! From the very beginning of booking the venue with Gary, we felt we were being treated as friends and not that the venue was just trying to get us to write a check. Jeanette was there for every step of the planning process and kept us updated with precautions Oakhaven was putting in place. Jeanette and I talked every week leading up to the wedding and she was always so kind. The Manor House and Cabin were amazing for housing our bridal party and family. The ceremony site is even more beautiful in person and I could be happier with how our wedding turned out. -

The OHP team brought such a graceful and wide approach to Delaney and Alan’s special day. They were helpful and we knew we were in good hands. When my fiance and I first visited Oakhaven, we fell in love with the natural beauty of the property. As we sat down with the property manager Gary, it quickly became clear that he wasn't just trying to book a wedding date, but that he wanted us to feel as in love with Oakhaven as he was (and we were). We were one of the "tornado couples" whose wedding date fell after the tornado destroyed the original barn. We felt so strongly about the people and the property that we elected to push our wedding date by six months so that we could still get married at Oakhaven.
We didn't expect the staff and management to be as passionate about perfecting our wedding day as we were, but they blew us away with their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was as we'd hoped. Our weather forecast didn't look great for the wedding day, but the staff at Oakhaven was willing to wait until the morning of the wedding to execute "Plan B." They worked tirelessly the day of the wedding to transition an outdoor ceremony inside the new barn, without taking away from our experience leading up to the wedding.
In addition to the staff being absolutely outstanding, its difficult to do the property justice with words. The backdrop of our wedding pictures is absolutely stunning with the rolling hills, beautiful lake, and phenomenal sunsets. While the natural beauty is certainly one of the highlights of the property, Oakhaven has spared no expense on the reconstruction of the barn. Many of our guests commented on how nice the barn was and couldn't believe how affordable it was for our entire wedding weekend on the property.
Oakhaven provided us with the opportunity to not only have a wedding day, but a weekend of celebration. The accommodations on site made the rehearsal and day-of logistics a breeze and allowed us to be surrounded by family for the entire weekend.
We fell in love with this venue on our first visit and are so grateful that it became part of our wedding story. The cost, staff, and experience at Oakhaven is one that we feel can't be beat, and I think all of our wedding guests would agree. -

A beautiful wedding venue!
Oakhaven was the perfect venue! From the beginning of the visit, I felt so comfortable and welcome. They were always available whenever I needed something, and even after the tornado that knocked down the original barn, they reassured us that everything would be perfect for our wedding and it was! I would highly suggest Oakhaven for your wedding if you're looking for a rustic, charming venue! -

Would give them 10 stars if I could!
My daughter got married at Oakhaven in late June 2019. Everyone who attended raved about how beautiful and relaxed the wedding was! If we needed anything, we only had to ask once and it was taken care of. The vendors they suggested were awesome! We had 175 people in the barn in the heat of June and never once did we feel uncomfortable! If you are looking for a wedding venue Oakhaven should be on your list to visit! -

It was more beautiful than I had envisioned in my dreams of the perfect wedding day. The staff was very kind, understanding, flexible, and accommodating. The barn is amazing, and having the manor for the weekend to spend time with my bridesmaids was so exciting, so much fun, the perfect way to spend the day/night before the wedding. I highly recommend it all! -

The best venue ever! My day was stress free and just perfect. A big thank you to Gary for the tour at the beginning and all the questions. Ashley Sent on 10/09/2018We absolutely loved having our wedding at Oakhaven! They were so willing to work with us. The grounds are breathetaking! We also rented the manor where my bridesmaids, both parents, and I stayed the night before and my in laws and family stayed the night of the wedding. The manor is so beautiful and spacious. We also hired Jeanette Wagoner to be our wedding director the day of, which was the best decision because she was VERY well organized and made our day go so smoothly. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Oakhaven each time.

We chose the whole weekend package for the convenience and it was a wonderful experience. We had our whole wedding party stay overnight at the venue and made the best memories. We were not rushed through preparing or cleaning afterwards. Both Gary Barrett and Jeanette Wagoner were extremely helpful and made even the most stressful things seem easy. They allowed us to personalize everything just how we had always dreamed without strict stipulations. They were so flexible and easy to get along with. Gary Barrett catered out rehearsal and everyone raved about the food. We fell in love with Oak Haven and by wedding day their staff felt like family.

Jeanette and Gary went above and beyond to ensure our wedding weekend went off without a hitch. We feel fortunate to have exchanged our vows under the breathtaking oak tree and danced the night away in the beautifully restored barn. From the first day we visited Oakhaven to the night we drove off as husband and wife, we feel truly blessed to have found this breathtaking place with equally lovely staff. I'd highly recommend any bride and groom to choose Oakhaven. You won't regret it.

We had our indoor wedding here, we enjoyed being able to host our family and wedding party on site for the weekend. Everyone on staff was very helpful and helped the day go seamlessly. Beautiful property and very helpful staff. Only issue over the weekend was the sound system, I would have expected a slightly larger scale system for that size venue. Overall, great experience! Would 10/10 recommend to any couple! -

Oakhaven properties is one of the most beautiful, scenic and inclusive wedding venues you could could hope to find. My wife and I booked Oakhaven after her sister's wedding at the property and witnessed the magical transformation that occurred due to the storm. Oakhaven is an absolute gem, a diamond in the rough venue that is only beginning to blossom. There is no doubt that within the next few years Oakhaven will be considered one of the premier venues in the NC/VA area. -
