I just had the true pleasure of getting married at Oakdale on 11/11/23 and cannot say enough about how wonderful of an experience it was. We had the honor of working with Mary Jane from start to finish and no words can do justice how wonderful she was. She was always thinking ahead and had an answer for every question that came up along the way, she also gave advice on which other vendors we should use and they were all wonderful as well. The day of went off without a hitch and everyone was so complimentary of how seamless everything was. I would recommend this venue to everyone I know and have found a true friendship in Mary Jane.

Where do I even begin! Oakdale RVA and their staff were amazing to Nathan, myself and our families during our wedding planning process. Mary Jane worked with us for over a year, met with us, texted and called whenever we had any questions. They truly made us feel so special and supported every step of the way. We had our dream wedding at Oakdale and can not recommend this beautiful venue enough!!!

I looked through all the different wedding venues you could think of around Richmond, VA. From billionaire mansions to fancy hotels, it was Oakdale that impressed my wife and I the most.

From start to finish, the team at Oakdale was superb in being quick to respond, answer any questions, and help with anything and everything. Not too mention, the nicest people ever!

After my initial conversations with Mary (super nice by the way), Amanda took over and helped me from start to finish. As a guy who's as clueless as they come when it comes to weddings, Amanda was a God-send.

Amanda, who we worked closely with the most, is extremely nice, patient (believe me because I was that annoying customer who had a million questions), and helpful (helped plan everything to a T and the actual preparation on the wedding day). She is so great that my family even noticed and praised her. Couldn't imagine what my wedding day would be like without Amanda's help.

As for the venue itself, it's even more spacious than pictures portray, very clean and well-kept (every other venue I looked at was lacking this in some degree), customizable, easy to navigate, plenty of parking, and even has valet with a golf cart to and from the parking lot! You also get 2 bartenders and a DJ! They recently finished building another smaller barn for the groomsmen to hangout in too (looks really good).

If you're looking for a well-maintained wedding venue with the best people running it, fair-priced, and lots of room for photos and for people to hangout, this is the one.

Mary Jane and her staff were amazing to work with! They alleviated every concern i had. They are all class-acts and would highly recommend them to the next couple. They will make your day the best!

Oakdale was so amazing with us! Mary Jane was such a pleasure to work with. She helped us with the planning and even offered to help us with some of the decor that her team had left over. Logan her assistant was also great!! She's such a sweet person and was the 1st person we met when initially seeing the Venue.. The venue is so beautiful and I'm so happy with the decision for this location for my wedding!! We enjoyed our special day so much and cant thank Oakdale enough for their awesomeness!!!

Logan our wedding coordinator was PHENOMENAL! When I first sat down with her at our initial meeting, I left feeling confident and reassured that she was the right person for the job. She was energetic, friendly and super organized. She was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding, I did not stress about one single thing because she was so on top of everything. She went above and beyond to make sure that it was set up just how we talked about, and did it all with the most generous and eager attitude. She truly loves what she does and it shows. She is the type of person you want to be around on your wedding day and exudes so much positivity. I could not recommend her enough!!!

Oakdale was the most wonderful location to have our wedding reception. It was so beautiful--I could not ask for a prettier location. Mary Jane and all her staff were on top of everything! I did not have to think about anything all night. Everything went so smoothly. Also, Mary Jane was so attentive and communicative throughout the whole planning process--constantly checking in and always available for questions. Oakdale is the perfect place for a wedding--could not ask for a better location or people to plan with!

This was only the 2nd venue my husband and I toured back when we first got engaged and we knew instantly it was “the one”. Everything turned out beautifully and Mary Jane is truly amazing!

I had planned my wedding from out of state so most of the part was done virtually. Jenefer and Mary Jane made the whole process feel like a breeze. They are so professional and I receive detailed and fast response every time I reached them. The venue was beautiful and everyone gave me compliments. It's clean, spacious, and modern. I wish they had a groom's suite but I was told that they are in the process of building one soon. I love the outdoor space, it looked amazing during the spring season. Jenefer and her crew's event planning went beyond my expectation. I would truly recommend this place and I really appreciate their service.

My now husband and I worked closely with Mary Jane, the wedding coordinator that comes with Oakdale. We met with her for multiple meetings discussing details and acquainting ourselves with the venue. We met 6 months, 2 months, and 30 days out. We did not have to pick up or do anything the day of our wedding which was amazing! I did not realize I needed this until it was our big day.

Everything about our wedding day was perfect thanks to Mary Jane & Chris and the whole Oakdale team! They went above and beyond to help make my brunch wedding of my dreams happen. MJ is extremely easy going & took so much off of my plate so that I could fully relax and be present on my wedding day. It was a huge plus that it's all inclusive - I didn't have to worry about renting linens, tableware, bar service, etc - it was all taken care of and I was still able to pick out all of my own colors to coordinate! I can't recommend this place enough!

We first went to Oakdale when it was being built and had a list of other venues to look at before deciding. We met with Chris Stem to have our tour and completely fell in love with not only Chris’s personality and humor but the venue as well. When we left Oakdale, before we got out of the driveway, I told my husband...this is it! I don’t need to go anywhere else. This is OUR place! Oakdale is not only beautiful inside and out but the staff is amazing! Mary Jane, the venue coordinator, is the most amazing person. She was there for every question I had and assured me everything would be perfect. On the day of our wedding, I was not worried one bit. If anything did not go as planned, I didn’t know about it. I was in the bridal suite having fun with my girls and getting ready for the ceremony! There are not enough words to express how grateful to everyone that was a part of our day at Oakdale. I literally felt like a princess marrying my prince! It was my fairytale come true. Thank you to all the staff at Oakdale for the perfect start to the rest of our lives together! ❤️

Oakdale was the perfect combination of elegant and modern for our special day. The chandeliers make the venue space feel very sophisticated while the exposed beams, tall windows for natural light, and natural stone provide so much detail. The size of the space was perfect as well for our guests. Of course this day would not have gone as smoothly if it weren't for Mary Jane. She is the venue coordinator and I can not say enough good things about her. She was so accommodating with any changes we needed to make, as well as providing insight and recommendations for things I wasn't sure of. I love that the space allows for indoor and outdoor weddings too. I am so grateful for what Oakdale did to make sure our special day was everything and more! We absolutely recommend this venue!

We just got married at Oakdale on September 12th and it was an absolute dream come true! We had a vision and they completely exceeded all of our expectations. Due to covid and close family members that would not have been able to attend, we had a small ceremony across the street at the Hanover Vegetable Farm and just had our reception at Oakdale. We made this decision last minute and Mary Jane offered to help in any way— she kindly coordinated our small ceremony and ensured everything ran smoothly, while keeping everything at Oakdale running just as smoothly. We had endless options to choose from in order to comfortably seat our large guest list inside and outside for dinner while maintaining social distancing during these current circumstances— which we knew would not be an easy task! They were willing to work with us and any changes that would need to occur in light of Covid and kept us informed of any changes on their end. Mary Jane worked with all the vendors we chose and kept in close contact with them to ensure everything was organized and ran smoothly. She made sure we were fed and had a drink in our hand at all times, followed our schedule, and even packed up every single decoration of ours at the end of the night so we did not have to worry about anything! Every staff member was amazing including our coordinator- Mary Jane, Chris Stem, bartenders, bar manager, and parking attendants. There are endless breathtaking views for pictures and endless options to accommodate your dream wedding vision. The entire day ran smoothly and we could not have picked a more beautiful venue with an incredible team to work with!!

We cannot say enough good things about Oakdale. We were in a pinch to find a new wedding venue a few months before our original wedding date and we were so lucky to find Oakdale. Chris was able to meet with us very quickly and give us a tour of the beautiful space, answer our questions, tell us about all the great things included in their wedding package, and show us how organized the business was. It is truly the perfect wedding venue with a gorgeous outside ceremony site with a paved aisle and a beautiful inside reception venue with awesome bar and bridal suite. Closer to our date we met our coordinator, Jenefer, and also Mary Jane who worked with us to make changes during the pandemic, coordinate with our other vendors, and meet with us whenever necessary. Jenefer was absolutely amazing on our wedding day and made sure the day ran perfectly and we stayed on schedule. She helped us set up the venue so that it was beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. She coordinated the rehearsal seamlessly and with vendors on the day of. She handled any problems that came up so that I didn't even know they were happening. We had about 150 guests and it was a great size for us.

My wedding was October 21st, 2022. I remember being so worried, anxious and scared that things wouldn't come together the right way considering the fact that I was doing the planning myself. The day I had my initial meeting with Mary Jane (the venue manager) all of my worries were lifted. I was not expecting her and her team to be as involved with the planning on the actual day of my wedding as much as they did. I was so relieved and thankful to have Mary Jane do all that she did with her team to make my special day so wonderful! I appreciate EVERYTHING and everyone who made my day as smoothe as possible!! I would recommend this BEAUTIFUL venue and this AMAZING team 1,000 times!! Thanks again for a wonderful wedding!
