We are so grateful for everything Kelsey McGrath did to make our wedding weekend at the Nonantum absolutely perfect! For the six months leading up to our big day, she was exceptional! Always communicative, responsive, and endlessly patient with our ever-changing questions and needs. Her reassurance and guidance throughout the planning process gave us so much peace of mind.
From the moment we arrived at the Nonantum, Kelsey was there making sure every detail was taken care of. She consistently went above and beyond, whether it was helping order lunch for the groomsmen, ironing out our welcome sign, or stepping in with anything we needed. She was on it without hesitation.
On the day of our wedding Kelsey brought such fun, positive, and joyful energy. It was truly a pleasure to be around her. You can tell she is genuinely excited for every couple she works with, and we felt so supported and cared for the entire time.
We recently visited Nonantum last weekend for the Christmas prelude- our first time back since the wedding. While we were eating breakfast, Kelsey recognized us and was so excited to say hello. With the number of weddings the Nonantum hosts each year, it meant so much that she remembered us. It speaks volumes about the level of genuine care and heart she puts into every couple she works with.
We couldn’t be more thankful. Kelsey made our weekend unforgettable and we highly, recommend her to any future Nonantum couple! -

Perfect fall wedding at the Nonantum
From the moment we stepped foot on the Nonantum property we knew that this was the venue for us. Every step of the process, from our initial visit to our wedding day, was an absolute dream. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and I truly cannot recommend the Nonantum enough.
The venue itself is breathtaking. We were married on 10/11, and the backdrop of changing leaves along the water created the New England fall wedding we’d always imagined. We chose a tented outdoor reception and were lucky to have perfect weather, but it was incredibly reassuring knowing there was a seamless indoor backup plan ready if needed.
The staff at the Nonantum is exceptional. Our family and friends who stayed on-site couldn’t stop talking about how warm, helpful, and attentive everyone was. Throughout the planning process, communication with the team was constant and thoughtful—coordinating with vendors, arranging our tasting, finalizing the bar menu, and even providing a list of trusted local babysitters for guests with children.
The food and drinks were unbelievable. Every dish was served hot and exactly to each guest’s specifications. Several guests told us it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. Our raw bar during cocktail hour was a huge hit, featuring the freshest Maine seafood. As someone who is gluten free, I also felt incredibly cared for—their understanding of allergies and dietary needs was impressive and meant so much to me.
And lastly, our wedding coordinator, Kelsey. I would go through the entire planning process again if it meant I could work with her. She is smart, kind, organized, and endlessly helpful. As a bride planning the wedding on my own, I truly could not have done it without her. For the six months leading up to the big day, she answered every question quickly and thoroughly. People often say to expect at least one thing to go wrong on your wedding day, but with Kelsey’s calm, confident presence and true professionalism, everything went off without a hitch. I feel so lucky to have been paired with her.
We cannot recommend the Nonantum enough. Thank you to Kelsey and the entire team for giving us a day that was beautiful, stress-free, and so incredibly special. -

Picture Perfect Wedding Venue
The Nonantum team goes above and beyond to make the entire experience perfect. From a spectacular food tasting brunch to leading the vendors on the day of, they are professional and communicative in all that they do. Friends and Family visiting Maine for the first time fell in love with the venue and Kennebunkport and are already planning another trip back! Would highly recommend this team and location for your wedding. Special note of thanks to our wedding coordinator Amanda who added thoughtful touches throughout the weekend. -

My husband and I had the best experience getting married at the Nonantum. We had a tented wedding outside and they did a beautiful job setting up our vision. They are very well connected and liked by vendors in the wedding industry and we used a lot of their suggestions. They also assign you a wedding coordinator. Ours knew every answer and made the whole planning process very smooth from start to finish. Our guests were also very pleased with the hotel accommodations. Highly recommend!

Book this place now!! The Nonantum was everything we could have asked for! They are the BEST at what they do!! First, the location is unbelievable, right on the river and walking distance to Kennebunkport is the perfect location for guests and photos!! Second, their service is unmatched. They are so accommodating and helpful as you plan your wedding, they make everything as easy as possible. Months leading up to the wedding, you're assigned a specific coordinator. Our coordinator, Kelsey, was SO helpful!! Everything from the floorplan to the cake decorations were thought of and she was unbelievably helpful on the day of!! She's with you every step of the way from the moment you arrive! The food was incredible too! Our guests are still talking about the food & service!! Everyone here makes your wedding day special, and they make it as worry-free as possible so you can truly enjoy your day/weekend. I HIGHLY recommend!! -

The quality and professionalism of The Nonantum and their staff is 2nd to none. I've been to many hotels in my life and this is it's own magical gem. I decided to get married here and the support from the coordinator, food and beverage staff, and management was incredible. They hosted a complimentary tasting for my husband and I and our parents leading up to the wedding, they helped with the plans and procedures in a timely fashion leading up, and the day could not have gone any better. Highly recommend this venue for your wedding and/or any event really. It is truly a magical place, and getting married in October, the colors of the trees were so gorgeous. Trust me, you'll be so happy you chose The Nonantum. -

We could not have made a better decision choosing to get married and have our wedding at the Nonantum.
Amanda is a great coordinator and incredible to work with. She helped us plan the event and ensure we had everything figured out, like how many appetizers to have, which napkins to choose, where to place things at the reception. She was always happy to answer any questions and guide us in the right direction. At the rehearsal, she led everyone through the ceremony for the next day, alleviating any nerves. And on the day of, she helped coordinate everything, so that it ran super smoothly, even when everything was moved inside due to rain. All the staff who worked at the wedding were also amazing — helpful, friendly, and professional.
The venue (we were in the ballroom) is a perfect backdrop for your vision come to life, and the location itself is right on the water and so beautiful.
The food was delicious, like a fancy dinner out! Everything was fresh, high-quality, and flavorful, and the portions were a good size. The plating was also very nicely done. Some favorites of the night were the lobster, steak, lamp lollipops, and cookies.
You can tell everyone at Nonantum puts a lot of care into what they do, and it really reflected on our wedding. Thank you so much for helping us have the best day! -

Best day ever ever
I simply can’t say enough good things about Nonantum. We were lucky enough to secure one of the last remaining Saturday dates in July and then we did the impossible. We planned our wedding in 8 months from NJ and it could not have been more seamless. Amanda, our coordinator, made everything so easy. The Nonantum Resort is charming, beautiful and the quintessential New England venue. The only thing better than the Resort itself is the staff. Every staff member went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. We plan on returning every year for our anniversary and are already counting down the days until we go back! Could not recommend more!!!!! -

We cannot say enough good things about our wedding in September at the Nonantum Resort! From the moment we met Tim A for our tour it was evident that the Nonantum truly cares about each of their couples. Having high quality wedding food was a big must for us and boy did the Nonantum deliver. The Nonantum allowed us to personalize many menu details of our day and even helped us make and package our whoopi pie favors. We had a really positive experience with our wedding coordinator Matt H who went above and beyond for us (even amid the craziest wedding year ever for the industry!) He was responsive and met with us many times in the weeks leading up to our wedding. Matt is the jack of all trades and even took care of placing all of our decorations in the perfect spot the day of! His humor was welcome and helped to calm our nerves the day of the wedding. The Nonantum staff takes pride in each of their weddings and I would highly recommend the venue to other brides and grooms! -

Wedding 10/02/21
We got married at the Nonantum Resort this last October and it was absolutely perfect! Ariel T. was our wedding coordinator and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. She helped us plan our day exactly how we imagined & more! She was super responsive to emails and on the day of our wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly. Additionally, the Nonantum was the most beautiful & accommodating venue - they even suggested a vendor list (which we used, our photographer Patrick McNamara captured the entire day!) we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding day with memories we will remember forever. Everything was 10/10. We can’t wait to go back and visit! -

Thank you, Nonantum, for giving us the best day of our lives!! When we got engaged, we knew that the Nonantum was going to be our first choice for our venue and boy, did they deliver!!! We've been going to the Nonantum for years now, and couldn't think of a better location for our wedding. We worked with the amazing Mathew Havrilla and had such an amazing experience. The weekend of the wedding, the entire staff at the Nonantum was so accommodating - ensuring our guests were all set with their accommodations, and just being so pleasant & friendly. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up accordingly and was so beautiful - the Nonantum really has the best views and ambience. The drinks & food were incredible and so many of our guests commented on the high quality of the service. If you are looking for a beautiful, coastal wedding venue - look no further than the Nonantum Resort - it will truly be the best decision you can make!!
We can't express how amazing it was to work with Mathew Havrilla - he was such a large contributor to the best day of our lives and we can't thank him enough. Mathew was an absolute pleasure to work with, he was extremely communicative, detailed, and organized... even in the most crazy wedding year! We felt completely prepared for the big day because of all the great planning/communication with Matthew - he answered every single one of our questions and made sure every little detail was accounted for. On the day of the wedding, Mathew made us feel completely at ease - he had such a calming presence and really delivered on ensuring everything little detail was taken care of. Not only were my husband & I impressed, but our family also really enjoyed working with him and we looked forward to seeing him when we return to the Nonantum in the future!! -

The Perfect Venue for the Perfect Wedding!
Katie and Alex’s wedding on August 7, 2021 at the Nonantum exceeded our very high expectations after nearly 3 years of planning, waiting and planning. Even before Katie and Alex returned from their engagement (September 2018), Tom and I were in Kennebunkport looking for wedding venues. We stopped at the Nonantum for dinner and afterwards had a drink in the bar meeting Meagan Kaarto (Bar Manager) who enthusiastically described Nonantum weddings and we were hooked; this is what we all wanted! The next day Tim Ames, Director of Sales and Consummate Wedding Planner, gave us a tour and we knew this was the best place but needed Katie and Alex to agree, obviously it was their wedding. Everyone wanted K’Port because Alex’s extended family live in the area, his parents have a summer house at Kennebunk Beach and my family once lived there. Katie and Alex looked at other venues in Kennebunkport but nothing compared with the location on the river yet near shops in town. Our overall great experience while staying at the Nonantum on a weekend in November sealed the deal and June 27, 2020 was retained (first available weekend). We began working with Briana Collard, Sales & Event Coordinator, to plan the perfect wedding and then the pandemic happened. Briana and Tim could not have been more helpful in forwarding Katie & Alex’s new date to August 7, 2021, the first day to match up with their ceremony at St. Ann’s. We were very grateful our Nonantum recommended vendors (Fleurant - florals, Sperry - tent, Double Platinum DJ - Chris Gordan, Patrick McNamara - photographer and Intown Trolley - transportation) rolled their contracts forward to the new date. Nonantum attracts the best vendors in the area who will give you great advice because they are familiar with the venue.
During the next 16 months Briana checked in on us and then we began to plan the big day all over again but with new ideas. No matter what Katie and Alex requested, Briana was always positive. Can the baker make a tiered crumb Wedding Cake with fresh flowers and a Groom Cake in the shape of Texas? Of course! Can we arrive at the Nonantum in an antique car? Sure, we’ve done that. Can we have a sparkler send off? Absolutely, it’s a great ending to your reception. And the hotel van drivers will ferry your guests to and from your After Party (it was at the Pilot House). Briana made sure the wedding party and parents in the Bride and Groom Get Ready rooms got their lunches and beverages at midday; this is very important. And she even found Alex’s misplaced “Just Married Sign” for the antique car after a last-minute frantic search so the Bride and Bridesmaids could get on the trolley to the church on time. At the reception, our guests loved the individual pop-up tents along the Kennebunk River and great service from the bar at the cocktail hour (Meagan of course was there). Guests loved the food and commented on the excellent service at dinner, how did they know my name and menu choice? Actually, that was a question I kept asking Briana and she always said, “they will know”. Well the entire weekend was perfect from beginning to end with an outdoor tent and bar setup that rivaled a movie set complete with exceptional service from the entire staff. Our guests were impressed with the Nonantum, especially those that stayed at the hotel (this is a real plus). We all wanted a happy, memorable, and sweet day (in other words “perfect”)for their long-awaited wedding and that was achieved at the Nonantum. Most important, after all the years of planning, Katie, Alex, and their parents just soaked in the wedding weekend experience and let Briana and her staff take over (especially me, the perfectionist MOB - thanks so much Briana!). So, don’t procrastinate, book your wedding at the Nonantum soon. But…if you have to wait another year, don’t worry it will be worth it. You both will have a lifetime to look back on your brilliant memories!
p.s. During the years we were waiting for the eventual date, our family stayed at the Nonantum on weekends in the Fall, December Prelude, Spring, and Fourth of July. I called it “Wedding Research” but we all just loved the dining/bar experience, clean comfortable rooms, and most important the entire staff who are always friendly and attentive. During our stays the Nonantum hosted 1 to 3 weddings each weekend and it did not affect service to us or the other non-wedding guests. Hospitality is truly an art form at the Nonantum. We look forward to returning to such a happy place with our forever memories! -

I’m not really sure where to begin. This is by far the best resort in Maine. We hosted a destination wedding durning a pandemic and I can tell you that Tim and the rest of the Nonantum staff made it nothing but easy. Our wedding came together perfectly. Beyond the wedding the resort is gorgeous, the staff goes ABOVE AND BEYOND, the food is impeccable and the customer service is above the rest. Our wedding guests could not stop raving about how gorgeous the resort was, how amazing the foos was and our wedding cake made by Amanda at the resort was the best I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t spend another second thinking about booking another place. It’s perfect. -

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Nonantum in August. The staff, service, food and location were absolutely amazing. Multiple friends told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We had another guest who is a chef rave about the food. Chef Mike is incredible - he came up with an amazing presentation for our salad and went above and beyond with our entrees. Everything was delicious and so far and above your typical "wedding" food. Tim Ames was our spirit guide throughout the process. He is a gem who is truly the best in the business and a wonderful person. I would tell anyone getting married in Kennebunkport to choose this venue. It's a beautiful and charming location and the staff will take the best of care of you. I feel so lucky to have been able to have our wedding here. -

The Nonantum is truly THE BEST. From our first tour of the resort, my fiance & I were taken with the charm and beauty of the property. Tim Ames was so knowledgeable and friendly, and helped us secure the venue for our wedding on 8/22/21. We were then assigned Mathew Havrilla as our event coordinator, and there are not enough positive things I can say about Matt. Throughout the wedding planning process, I was constantly emailing/texting him with questions, and he was always positive, responsive, and accomodating to all our requests. When Hurricane Henri hit on our wedding weekend and threw a wrench into our plans, Matt and the Nonantum staff were prepared and pivoted flawlessly. I wanted to get a few photos in outside before the storm, and Matt literally chauferred our bridal party in a golf cart so we wouldn't have to walk in the muddy grass. Long story short, we moved our wedding indoors and it was absolutely beautiful. We got SO many compliments from our guests, and we could not have done it without Matt and his team. The Nonantum is such a special place and my fiance & I are already planning to return for our anniversary!! -

Nonantum is simply the best!
From our initial visit with sales director Tim Ames to the whole planning process with wedding coordinator Mathew Havrilla, our Nonantum experience was absolutely superb! The grounds are beautiful, the food is better than most high-rated restaurants I've been to, and the entire staff is more than accommodating! We had many questions along the way, and Mathew was extremely quick to find us the answers and to offer helpful suggestions as well. His professionalism and sense of humor helped to ensure the most special day for my daughter and her new husband. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of our wedding, many of them commenting that this was one of the most wonderful weddings they had ever attended. If there were a higher rating available, I would give it, with a plus!! -

I have saved this review for last because it is so hard to capture just how AMAZING the Nonantum Resort is! When my husband and I were looking at different wedding venues around coastal Maine, truly nothing compared to the Nonantum. It stood miles above every other location in our eyes. My mom and I were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of Tim Ames, the Director of Sales, on our first tour of the Nonantum. Whenever my mom or I had questions or forgot something that was shared with us on the tour, Tim was there for us. My husband and I were originally supposed to be married in July 2020, but we worked closely with the Nonantum staff to move our wedding to July 2021 due to the pandemic. They were also incredibly accommodating with moving our room block from our old date to our new date so that our guests didn't have to rebook any of their hotel rooms. My husband and I had Briana Collard as our wedding coordinator and we can't speak highly enough of her. She is flexible, kind, understanding, and knowledgable. It had rained very hard the day before our wedding, and on the morning of our wedding, Briana was out in the wet mud setting up our decorations under the tent! She is a trooper! She communicated effectively with all of our vendors and they speak very highly of her, as well. She also was great at answering all of my last minute questions the week leading up to our wedding. One of the best parts about having your wedding at the Nonantum is that everything is right there: the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the reception, guest accommodations, local shops & restaurants, etc. Everything is in a one-stop shop - no unnecessary travel! Our guests loved making a weekend getaway out of our wedding and have continued to rave over how beautiful (and convenient) everything was at the Nonantum. There is also no need to hire a caterer because Nonantum provided all of the delicious food for our wedding - from the appetizers all the way to the wedding cake and late night bites. We hired all of our vendors based on Nonantum's recommendations, and they recommend only the best of the best in the industry who have worked Nonantum weddings before.
I truly wish we could do the entire wedding all over again. My husband and I will most definitely be visiting Nonantum as much as possible because it will always remain as an incredibly special place in our hearts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! -

Best day of our lives!
The Nonantum Resort is an incredibly special place and my husband and I feel so lucky to have gotten married here! Tim Ames is more than just a wedding planner, he genuinely cares about every couple he works with and he brings his heart and soul to the job every day. We booked the Nonantum in April 2019 for a September 2020 wedding and due to the pandemic, postponed our date to May 28, 2021. Tim guided us through the re organizing, re planning, and heart ache every step of the way. As we entered 2021 with so much uncertainty, Tim was unyielding in his positivity and made sure all our questions were answered. He was honest when things were unknown and he was comforting when our stress levels got high. After years of working with The Nonantum, our wedding day finally came and it was perfect! We were so glad we waited to have the day we had always dreamed of. We were married on the Nonantum lawn under a tent and it was absolutely gorgeous. Tim unfortunately had a family emergency and was unable to attend our wedding, so Matt and Brianna stepped in to help ensure our day went smoothly. They too were fantastic! Brianna was at my side all day making sure I had what I needed. I didn’t have to lift a finger on my big day, which made me feel so relaxed and allowed me to enjoy the most important day of my life. It was pure magic. All of our guests commented on the incredible service, the kind staff, and the amazing food! My #1 concern for my wedding was that my guests had a positive experience and boy did the Nonantum deliver. While planning a wedding during a pandemic is very difficult, we always knew we were in good hands with the Nonantum. We are thrilled to have this venue remain a special place for us for years to come. Thank you Tim, Brianna, Matt, and all the Nonantum staff for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Wedding of our dreams!
I can not say enough positive things about The Nonantum! We originally booked in 2018 for a July 2020 wedding. In April of 2020 our outstanding coordinator Tim called to discuss our options about postponing to a later date or moving forward with a reduced capacity wedding with covid precautions in place. Tim helped us weigh all the options and booked a new date for 2021 with ease. We got married on July 4, 2021 and had the most outstanding wedding! The day of was drizzling slightly but Tim helped us continue to have our ceremony outside and provided umbrellas to our guests! Every single detail was executed to perfection and we wouldn’t have asked for a better day, venue or coordinator! -

I got married in May 2021 at the Nonantum Resort. We were the first wedding of 2021 and the first "post-pandemic" wedding, We had to change our date twice due to the pandemic and the Nonantum was so accommodating. They made the process so easy for us. Tim and the entire Nonantum staff were so kind and they went above and beyond to make our day so special. With all of the changes we had to go through this past year, we didn't know how our wedding day would unfold due to restrictions but it ended up being the most perfect day. We had a completely "normal" wedding and it was everything he had imagined!! Thank you Nonantum staff for everything you did to make our wedding day amazing! -

2020 has been a whirlwind - my husband and I originally planned a large July wedding in a barn, and that quickly changed to a small, intimate wedding at the Nonantum. And let me say - we feel so lucky and grateful that it turned out this way. Tim Ames, resident miracle worker/wedding coordinator, was absolutely incredible and he was so understanding and flexible throughout the entire planning process. We opted for a 25 person wedding outside overlooking the water, and it was perfect because of Tim and the wonderful staff at the Nonantum. Quite literally - all we had to do was show up, and the Nonantum handled everything. Beyond the team at the Nonantum, the resort is of course gorgeous as well and the food is delicious (try the crab cakes!!). I also had my bridal shower at the Nonantum a few weeks before the wedding, and it was the same top notch experience.

Having our wedding at the Nonantum Resort was the best decision that we could have made. Not only was the staff amazing the day of our wedding but they were also amazing during every other aspect of the weekend! We got SO many compliments from our guests about how at home they felt at the Nonantum and how they would want to return for just a weekend!
The wedding planning process was super easy. Brittani, our amazing wedding coordinator, helped to make sure I was on track and helped to calm my nerves when I thought I was really behind. We did everything over the phone or via email since I live outside of Boston but I never felt like that was an issue (and honestly, preferred it!).
One of our favorite parts of the planning process was the food tasting - it was one of the few places where we got to bring both sides of our family which we loved! We made a whole weekend out of it and our parents really enjoyed getting the chance to try the food with us (all the food is AMAZING, by the way!).
The day of the wedding was a dream come true. I was a little nervous because it did down pour the whole morning before our afternoon ceremony. I asked Brittani when we needed to make a decision by to bring it inside (since many places make you call it at 1 or 2pm) and she let me know that they would set up the outdoor ceremony either way and only set up the indoor if necessary. Long story short, it rained up until about 3:30pm and once it stopped, the staff wiped down the chairs so we could fulfill our dream of getting married outside! Brittani helped to keep me relaxed about the situation all day which I can't thank her for enough!
The day was SO easy for us and everything went smoothly. The food was AMAZING along with the Gluten Free desserts that had made because I have a gluten allergy. Brittani went above and beyond when I asked if we could start speeches a little ahead of schedule (I wanted more dancing time with the band!) and she made that happen for me by talking to the band.
We will never be able to say enough great things about the Nonantum and look forward to visiting them in the years to come! -

From the moment we got to the Nonantum we knew to look no further. Dream planner Jenna arranged everything to perfection. Shout out to Kim for my beautiful bouquet and elegant table setting. This venue is perfect for large or small gatherings. They make it work for YOU! The pub is a quaint gathering spot during your stay and the breakfast is YUMMY!
We were lucky enough to have splendid weather in addition to all the other perfect details. I highly recommend the Nonantum Resort! -

If you are looking to get married in Kennebunkport, look no further than The Nonantum! From start to finish, The Nonantum staff exceeded all of our expectations. We hosted a tented wedding in August outside on the lawn with ~160 guests. As a type-A planner and perfectionist, I had high expectations for the service, set-up, design, and overall guest experience. Brittani, Tim, and The Nonantum staff were incredibly responsive, consultative, and accommodating throughout the planning process, providing helpful recommendations based on their experience and expertise to bring my vision to life. Coordinating multiple vendors (florals, tent, rentals, bakers, band, photographers, videographers, transportation, etc) can be a daunting task and The Nonantum made sure that all elements came together seamlessly on the day-of without a hitch. The setting outside is absolutely breathtaking (right on the Kennebunk river with the best sunsets you'll see in you life) and the venue allows for you to host an event that easily flows from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception -- allowing you to maximize your time celebrating with your loved ones! This was a huge selling point for us and our guests couldn't stop talking about what a perfect event it was. I can't thank The Nonantum staff for a truly perfect event that we will never forget. -

There truly aren’t words to describe how perfect our wedding day was all thanks to Tim and the Nonantum staff! Tim worked with us closely throughout the planning process, always available for any questions we had and, as out-of-towners, always made himself available whenever we were able to travel up there. When you are planning a wedding and trying to coordinate with so many different vendors, it can be difficult to see how everything comes together on wedding day but I felt instantly at ease when I walked in to the Nonantum on wedding day. Absolutely everything was perfectly coordinated, set-up and run exactly as we had pictured. The staff was above and beyond friendly, accommodating and helpful – so many of our guests have raved about the great service they experienced! We had a few custom food and dessert requests that the team was able to accommodate with ease that really meant so much to us. We absolutely loved working with Tim – you can tell he is passionate about what he does and made us feel like we were his only wedding when we know he had plenty of others this season!! We can’t stop talking about how perfect our day was and are so glad we picked Nonantum to be a part of our special day! Can't recommend enough!! -

We had our wedding at the Nonantum Resort on May 10th. Choosing the Nonantum as our venue was the best decision we have ever made! The resort itself is gorgeously quaint, with a nautical classy vibe. The hotel rooms are stunning and all completely unique, we couldn't have gotten more compliments from our guests! From the minute we checked in we felt like we were at home. The staff are insanely welcoming, attentive, caring, and will go out of their way to make your day better. When choosing a venue, we were between the Nonantum and a place that was more of a "blank slate". We would have had to bring everything into the space essentially. Thank god we didn't go that route! The staff at the Nonantum take your vision and exceed your own expectations. As a bride, I was able to have a super relaxing morning. We literally can't say enough about our coordinator, Tim, who is a literal ray of sunshine. If you are lucky enough to be able to trust him with your day, lucky you! Sit back and relax because he has it handled. The Nonantum also holds menu tastings for booked couples, which was an AMAZING way to get the planning process started (and taste the insanely good food - of course). They go above and beyond for you, we got so many compliments from our guests, and our day was just perfect. Definitely consider them!!
PS - our wedding was indoors due to weather, and it was still perfect!! -

My husband and I had an intimate wedding of 20 guests in Fall of 2018 at the Nonantum Resort. With the Nonantum's help, it was truly an unforgettable weekend and one of the happiest moments of our lives!
Location - Absolutely wonderful! The lawn where ceremonies are held is right on the water, just a 2-minute drive to the oceanside where you can get some fantastic couples shots together. They provide a backup venue for the ceremony in case of inclement weather which is great!
Price - Affordable for intimate weddings.
Event Coordination - Every wedding gets an event coordinator. That was a lifesaver at the wedding! We had Catie T. She was always very responsive and organized. Catie and her staff took care of everything at the wedding - setting up the reception table with our decorations, setting up the ceremony site, playing the music for the processional, coordinating with deliveries, storing everything, etc. Catie has a very calm demeanor and doesn’t react negatively even when the people around are stressed. She clearly is very good at her job and I am very thankful that we had her!
Reception - Appetizers were amazing! We had a plated dinner and I have only heard positive comments about the food at the reception from our guests. The groom and I went out for photos at sunset and the staff actually put some covers over our food while we did that which was very thoughtful. The Nonantum was VERY good about handling food allergies. Our cake was served and they followed specific instructions about that perfectly. We had a small nautical knot on the cake and they even split the knot between the groom’s plate and mine. Details, people. Details. Catie hooked us up with votive candles for the reception and everything else we needed for the reception (linens, napkins, servingware, cake utensils, etc) which is a cost savings from other venues that require you to rent or bring your own.
Rooms - The rooms in Nonantum are much more modern and nicer than you would expect (old building!). I didn’t particularly like the bed in the “bridal suite” but that’s being nitpicky. The room had a great “fireplace” and mantel that was great for detail shots.
Reservations - Nonantum has an online area for brides/grooms to see which members of their party have reserved rooms. That is really nice and helped us keep track of guests! The reservations process a bit confusing at times and unclear. There were a few times I asked questions to the front desk/reservations staff and didn’t quite get a direct answer depending on who I got. The contract at Nonantum mentions that they will release your room block 60 days beforehand so that is important to remember. We didn’t and they don’t send you a reminder, so we messed that up for two of our guests. These were all minor things. I am only sharing for the purposes of honest feedback. But certainly none of these would deter me from booking the Nonantum!
Breakfast is really good! Included in the room rates for everyone and made everything easy. This is not a continental breakfast… this is a full breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. They also had gluten-free options (great for two of our guests)! Try the blueberry pancakes.
Overall I felt like we couldn’t have chosen a better option for our wedding. Nonantum takes care of all of the details so you can enjoy the day stress-free! I am very thankful to the Nonantum staff for making our day so special. Thank you!! -

Dawn and Meg (coordinators) were absolutely amazing, so easy to work with, and so accommodating. They were always prepared, always available to answer questions and ease my worries about planning a wedding from across the country, and super flexible in making the event and venue unique to us for our wedding. They are so professional, and such a joy to work with. They’re also very willing to work with a couple to try to create an event within your budget, which we really appreciated, and were able to attain with a little flexibility from both the resort and us. There are so many spaces available to have the event on site and so many amazing spots for photographs. The entire place just promotes a feeling of fun, relaxation, and family. Highly recommend checking them out for your next event! -

Hannah Sent on 12/09/2017The Nonantum Resort absolutely exceeded our expectations! My husband and I were married there on December 3rd, 2017 during Christmas Prelude Weekend. We are not crazy Christmas lovers, but thought it would be a great experience for ourselves and our guests. We were totally right. We had not one complaint, from anyone. We worked with Tim Ames, who is absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond for us. We decided we wanted to get married outside on the water and he made it happen. It was the only wedding he has ever held outside in December, and it was perfect! From Tim's decision to provide complimentary hot apple cider to the perfect sun set during our ceremony. Everything was timed perfectly, from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and then to dinner and dancing. Tim was so organized and fabulous, I had not one thing to worry about. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and warm. I would highly recommend The Nonantum to any and everyone! You will not be disappointed. -

EVERY aspect of the wedding was overseen by our wonderful wedding coordinator, Dawn Blytone. Her professionalism and warmth was so impressive that by the end of the event, she felt like family! The entire staff was exceptional in every way. The Nonantum Resort is located on the Kennebunk River and the ceremony (at the Marble Bench) was simply stunning. The bald eagle soaring overhead and the Monarch butterflies flitting about made the day seem as if it was choreographed by Disney! Kudos to the chef! Our wedding meal was the subject of rave reviews by our guests! And Amanada Bruen, creator of our gorgeous nautical-themed wedding cake, was so creative. The cake was the star of the banquet! Choose the Nonantum Resort only if you want the your wedding day to be effortless, spectacular and memorable!

My husband and I are completely blown away by the level of service that we received from The Nonantum Resort on our wedding day, wedding weekend, and all of the days leading up to it. From the minute we walked into The Nonantum, we knew that this was the place that we wanted to celebrate our wedding day and weekend with all of our family and friends. Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, both inside and out, but the staff is the very best in the business. Tim was so great and easy to work with - he made it so easy for us to dream up our perfect day. Dawn, our wedding coordinator, and Esther, are simply the best out there. They are amazing and an absolute pleasure to work with. We feel so fortunate to know them and have had them be such an integral part of our wedding day. They thought of everything, were always one step ahead of us and didn't let us lift a finger as soon as we stepped onto the property. The rest of the staff at The Nonantum is incredible. There was not one single hiccup in the entire weekend because Dawn, Esther and the rest of the staff were so incredibly organized and made everything run so seamlessly. We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding the best day ever. We cannot wait to go back and visit!!
