My experience at Nulte's Bridal has been nothing short of fabulous! Michael Nulte is exceptional at what he does. He puts care and passion into every step of the process. For example, he took time to get to know me before selecting dresses. Not only did he find me the most beautiful dress, but it also fits my personality and vision perfectly. Michael was a WONDERFUL wedding planner!
Our experience with Michael as our wedding planner was simply amazing! He constantly was one step before everyone, planning the way and helping us make decisions. He was always a joy to work with and made us feel so safe as our big day approached. I am so grateful for our experience! Simply Amazing!!
From our very first meeting with Michael until our wonderful meeting with him weeks following our daughters wedding we have been amazed at him being a gift to us on many levels. Knowing that his expertise and patient demeanor were constantly available we were able to enjoy the process of our daughters wedding like we never dreamed possible. Michael's gracious and caring support as well as his timely communications allowed father and mother, daughter and son-in-law to thoroughly enjoy the months and weeks preceding the wedding. And to top it off the day of the wedding was simply amazing as Michael kept us on schedule and released us to enjoy the day. ALL details were beyond belief and our friendship with Michael continues beyond the wedding. Working with Michael and his team was by far the best decision we made in the preparation and actual day of event for our daughters wedding.From our very first meeting with Michael until our wonderful meeting with him weeks following our daughters wedding we have been amazed at him being a gift to us on many levels. Expertise Beyond Comparison!
Eight years ago after shopping in NC and even a trip to Chicago and Michigan Ave which included a trunk show with a famous designer, my daughter could not find “the dress.” I researched places in KC and one of the places I wanted to take her to was Nolte’s. She has tried on some dresses when Michael Nolte came in and assessed the situation and said “I know just the right dress for you!” She tried it on and it was the perfect “bride” moment! Later when I was at the Nolte’s Briarcliff location feeling clueless, Michael just happened to be there and helped me find the perfect dress and accessories that both my daughter and I loved. Now eight years later I found myself as the bride and had let my busy job as administrator and teacher and the events and concerts I had to plan take precedent over my own wedding plans. I was panicking about my procrastination, and time was running out. I walked into Nolte’s late on a Friday very apologetic about my last-minute situation. I was treated very graciously by Emily who offered immediate help, but to my extreme good fortune, Michael Nolte was there and immediately assisted. As just as he had magically done eight years previously for my daughter, he assessed the situation and knew the perfect dress! It was exactly what I had pictured: age-appropriate, flattering and elegant! Just as I can listen to a singer or choir and know just the right repertoire for them, Michael has that unique instinct for instantly evaluating and selecting exactly what perfectly suits the individual. Very magical! And then he stood there and helped me pick exactly the venue, accessories, flowers, etc. — everything that I had delayed in making decisions on. I left the store with the weight of the world off my shoulders and the event turned out even more perfectly than I could have pictured. We even decided I could wear the shoes he had picked out eight years previously. The additional magic was that he arranged with the wonderful lady who had done alterations for my daughter to have this dress ready for me to wear in less than two weeks! Michale Nolte was such a rescue to me— his expertise in style in all things wedding- related are incomparable. I am forever grateful and would recommend Nolte’s to everyone!

I experienced Nolte's Bridal with my niece, who is getting married in 2019. My first impression was with the personalization Michael Nolte gave us. He sat down with the future bride and had a detailed discussion about her wants, her needs, and more importantly, her budget.
Honestly, when she told him she was looking to spend $3,000 on a dress, I thought "uh oh, here we go, he's going to start with dresses at $3,000 and work up". Michael did not do this. He was more concerned with the style of dress she wanted than he was the dollar amount she wanted to spend.
He took the time to have her try on several dresses with several types of veils, and within two hours, she had found the dress of her dreams. Oh, and did I mention... he saved her a great deal of money in the end too? He specifically worked with clearance items in order to save her money, and the dress... OMG the dress was PERFECT!
I have never had a better experience in my life and would highly recommend this bridal store to any bride!

We worked with Michael on each aspect of the wedding. Michael can ‘see’ the wedding & keeps the vision constant in each element. As a result, both weddings were beautiful. We used Michael’s preferred vendors for floral, catering, rentals, photography, lighting, music, transportation, & makeup. He works with the best & if his first choice is booked-don’t worry-he only works with excellent vendors. Without Michael I have no idea how we would have found & vetted these people. And our weddings were 6 years apart; Michael maintains excellent relationships with the best event vendors in KC.
We needed the consistency & peace an excellent planner provides. There were issues but but Michael handled them-as a vendor said-‘don’t worry, Michael & I will make sure you are happy’. He helped me to find their vision for our wedding and include important family traditions. We worked with Michael on each aspect of the wedding. Michael had wonderful creative and unique ideas to make my wedding one of a kind. We used Michael’s preferred vendors who were all professional and reliable. He only works with the best in KC. Michael Nolte is a creative genius, beautiful designer, and is meticulously organized. All wrapped into one to make an incredible wedding planner! We had two very different visions for our ceremony in one location, and for our reception in another. Mike integrated our theme and vision seamlessly into both venues and made us feel confident that we would not have to worry about a single thing the day of our wedding. Everything was coordinated perfectly and Mike managed the day like a seasoned pro - because he is! He also designed our entire reception venue and revealed it to us as a surprise on the day of. To say we were surprised and overwhelmed with amazement, is an understatement. Our day was more beautiful than I could have imagined and there is absolutely no way it would have been that way if it weren’t for Mike. This message is to all the newly engaged girls this holiday season. First of all-congratulations!! I wanted to share my experience with wedding planning, as it has not been nearly as stressful as I expected. I cannot take credit for this- I simply picked the right people to help me.
It really all started with dress shopping. After our engagement I was visiting my family in Kansas City over Thanksgiving. Although we didn’t have much time, I knew I wanted to make a quick visit to Nolte’s Bridal in Overland Park Kansas. I want to stress that it was the ONLY place I booked to look at wedding dresses while I was home.
I knew Nolte’s was the only place worthy of our short time, because two years earlier my sister found her dress at Nolte’s. Which, as it turned out, was not an easy task. My mother, sister and I excitedly started the day booked with appointments at bridal shops throughout Kansas City, however quickly became discouraged. After each appointment additional anxiety and stress started creeping in. By lunch we discussed giving up and calling it a day, but had one more appointment remaining - Nolte’s Bridal. It was at Nolte’s, in the very FIRST dress she tried on, that my sister found her wedding dress. We were giddy, tearful, relieved and beyond happy. It was a memory I will cherish forever. My sister’s wedding became real at that moment.
I knew I wanted the same experience as my sister, but to bypass all the other unnecessary appointments that caused us so much tension before. Nolte’s did not disappoint. At my appointment I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Nolte himself assist with my dress shopping. He started the consult by merely asking about my preferences, style, venue, and fiancé. And then…the very FIRST dress I tried on was the one!! It was that simple and that amazing. Mr. Nolte told me later that it is as fundamental as listening to the bride and knowing your product.

He is a thief and a liar
It is difficult to put into words the level of disappointment and pure deceitfulness we have encountered with Michael Nolte. On first visit, Nolte is overwhelmingly engaged and sells you services and gowns that he simply does not provide. He sold me a custom designer gown, veil and earrings for more than $7,500 and when it arrived did not allow me to have my wedding dress. He strung me along for 11 months making me believe that he would honor his word. Then, just over a month before my wedding he refused to give me the gown, of which I paid the deposit and brought the rest of the dollars to pay him in total. He had me come try on the dress, told me it was perfect and refused to allow me to have the dress without signing a non-disparagement clause over his wedding coordination services that he fraudulently sold me. At the time we purchased the dress, he sold me a full service wedding coordination package for $12,000 and did not plan the wedding. He was a horrific wedding planner, of which we terminated 90 days after hiring him because he performed no work and only pointed his finger at the bride and groom to blame them. His email communication is telling when he told the bride “if you wanted an order taker, you should hire an assistant. I do not and will not work off lists created by the bride.”
We requested a refund of the money multiple times since he collected our money and did not deliver my gown and did not plan the wedding. Nolte refused to give us our money back. He even told me to my face “I am not a crook”, when in reality that is exactly what he is. We even took him to court over the issue and we were informed that he did not have the dollars to pay us so do not proceed with the case. He ripped away the wedding gown of my dreams only 41 days before the wedding, leaving me with no dress and an emotional wreck. From a bride to another bride, do not hire him or purchase a gown from him under any circumstances!
