No Standards were the life of the party!! I couldn't have been happier with how they performed and how they handled everything start to finish. They were communicative from the time I hired them, they had a huge setlist to pick from, and they really read the vibe of the room. They even let me sing with them for a few songs!! Every wedding guest said that they were the absolute best! -

This band is so awesome. In every way. They performed our first dance song and made it a slowed-down version of the actual song and it was PERFECT. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the music was. They are also fantastic with communication and were so patient with us as we worked through the music choices for our big day. They made our wedding night an absolute blast and I am so happy we hired them. -

The most amazing wedding band! So talented and nice, everyone loved them and still talks about the band! The band was so much fun and they even loved when our priest got up and rapped while they played! 100% recommend not only for events but also to go see them play all over NY and NJ! -

No standards was our dream wedding band. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and helped us customize the perfect wedding playlist for us. They even learned a few songs for us to make it even more special! What a dream to get to walk down the aisle (for me!) to Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional on the violin, cello and guitar-- beautiful. And they even learned a super niche Say Anything song (I want to know your plans) which was our first dance song. We had so many people tell us after the wedding how much they enjoyed the band and that it "made the wedding" which we couldn't agree more. They did essentially an hour of "Emo night" to end the wedding and it got all our friends on the dance floor belting out each song together which was also our dream ;), after they'd played some more typical wedding songs to satisfy our non-emo fan guests earlier in the night. But truly, they will create whatever experience you want. And if you are especially looking for the "not your typical wedding band" or your dreams as they advertise themselves, they are that band. And also wonderful humans. Thank you No Standards! We wish we could get married again so we could have you play again too! -

We had the absolute pleasure of having No Standards as our wedding band, and they completely MADE our reception! From the very first song to the last encore of the night, they brought unparalleled energy, talent, and joy to our special day.
As a musician myself, and with so many other musicians among our guests, I can confidently say that No Standards exceeded every expectation we had. Their musicality was top-notch, and their ability to perfectly tailor the evening to our vision was incredible. They worked closely with us beforehand, listening to our ideas, offering thoughtful guidance, and even helping us navigate some tricky decisions. Their professionalism and enthusiasm made the planning process not only stress-free but also a lot of fun!
The band performed stunning renditions of our first dance songs, and they even honored a last-minute special request, which meant the world to us. They truly cared about making our day unique and special, and it showed in every note they played.
Our guests are still raving about them—and our wedding! Comments like, "This was the best wedding I've ever been to; the music was incredible!" and "Where did you find this band? They were amazing!" kept pouring in. The dance floor was packed all night, with people of all ages having the time of their lives. At moments, it felt like we were attending a high-energy concert, cheering and clapping along with everyone else.
It’s hard to put into words just how much energy and musicianship No Standards brought to the evening. They kept the party alive and made every moment unforgettable. If you’re considering them for your event, stop thinking and book them—you won’t regret it! They gave us a night beyond our wildest dreams and made our wedding truly one for the books.

From First Date to Forever: No Standards Made Our Wedding Unforgettable!
No Standards is the wedding band you need to book if you want your big day to be unforgettable! From start to finish, their professionalism, communication, quality of services, and overall value were absolutely top-notch.
This band holds a special place in our hearts—I took my wife to see them many years before our wedding on one of our first dates. We both said, “If we ever get married, we want them to play at our wedding.” Many moons later, we made it happen, and we loved every single minute of it!
They went above and beyond to make sure every detail we envisioned was included—and then some! They didn’t just meet expectations; they blew them out of the water. From learning two incredible songs just for the wedding (which they nailed), to letting my dad chant "Scotty Doesn’t Know" and then jumping right into it—it was amazing.
The energy they brought to the reception was unmatched. They ended the night with "Killing in the Name" (as I had requested, despite it being unconventional for a wedding), and people are still raving about the show they put on.
Even during quieter moments, like the cocktail hour and dinner, the background music they provided was beyond perfect—it captured everything I had asked for and still managed to surprise me in the best way. And when my best man included a bit of "On the Way Down" by Ryan Cabrera in his speech, they seamlessly played the song afterward—it was such a thoughtful touch that added so much to the moment.
Hopefully, when we catch them live in the future, they’ll surprise us with our wedding song (Scene One – James Dean & Aubrey Hepburn by Sleeping with Sirens). That would be the cherry on top of an already unforgettable experience.

Book them!!
We had such a seamless experience from start to finish. The band ROCKed literally, we got many compliments from our guests. We had the pleasure of checking them out live at the Red Lion before booking. They were the first band we saw and we wasted our time checking out like 10 more because no one could compare to the energy and sound. We wanted more of a concert experience rather than the traditional wedding setup. They were the perfect in between. We also added ceremony + cocktail music + 3 horns for the reception. I wish we could host another event to book them again (anniversary??) but will definitely catch their Red Lion shows when we can! Really appreciated the calls/emails/and 'intake form' for the day-of to keep everything organized and set expectations on both ends too. -

1000/10 Wedding Band
We can’t say enough good things about No Standards. It should speak volumes that we were the fourth couple in my family to use them for a wedding. They are incredible- professional, talented, SO fun! They made the process so easy and exciting and not at all stressful. If you want the best wedding band, definitely book No Standards. They don’t just perform for the reception either, they’re also extremely talented in the “string” department and performed a BEAUTIFUL rendition of Hallelujah for our ceremony as well as played for our cocktail hour. They are THE BEST! -

No Standards was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were easy to work with, super professional, well priced and amazingly flexible! They know so many songs, they easily switch from one genre to the next and can learn pretty much any song you want. Honestly, they are so good. We had them play the ceremony and the reception and they absolutely brought the party! Everyone loved them!No Standards's reply:

Amazing!!!
We could not recommend No Standards enough and would give them 10 stars if we could!! We hired No Standards for the after party of our wedding and they were the absolute highlight of the event!! We specifically wanted our after party to have an Emo/Pop-Punk theme and No Standards delivered and then some. They worked with us on the playlist and were even able to learn a few new songs that we requested. Not only was the music great but their interactions with the crowd kept the party going until the end of the night!
We were also able to see them outside of our wedding and can insure anyone considering hiring No Standards that they would be a perfect fit for every genre of music. Our guests can’t stop talking about them and we can’t wait to see them again!

My wife and I absolutely love them!! No Standards played at my sister's wedding last year, and we contacted them the very next day to lock them in for our wedding -- we are so happy with that decision. I can't tell you how many guests came up to us to compliment the music throughout the night -- from reception intros to the full band set that kept the party going all night, they were just awesome. When they played Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand towards the end of the night it felt like we were in a sold out concert venue. They do such an awesome job of playing the type of music you want to hear.
Steve was extremely accommodating and helpful leading up to the event as well. Such great attention to detail on timelines throughout the night, all the way down to exactly what to play and when during first dances/reception intros. I play guitar, and they let me play 2 songs with them to kick off the night, with Steve even offering to rehearse chord changes via video chat the night before! Towards the end of the night the band offered to let me play a couple more with them, they taught me a couple songs on the fly and we somehow pulled it off -- it was an absolute blast.
These guys are talented musicians and true professionals, but most importantly they are genuinely awesome people that we're absolutely thrilled to have had as such an important part of our celebration! -

I never left the dance floor !
We wanted an upscale casual party for our second marriage. With over 150 guests from young adults to our 102 year old grandmother the band was loved by all. They took the time prior to event to set up time to talk and get to know our wishes . We literally danced all night! It was for sure a party atmosphere with all our special touches sprinkled in. The band was fabulous and sounded great! It has been over 2 month since our event and people are still talking about our party . In my opinion your music sets your vibe and atmosphere for your entire night. No standards made my event everything I hoped for. I would highly recommend them! -

Hiring No Standards as our wedding band was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our August wedding! We have been seeing No Standards play live in the city for years and knew we loved their energy and style. The band was so easy to work with and flexible, even changing the date and venue last minute to accommodate Covid-19 restrictions. They learned the songs we wanted to dance to just for our party and they were able to play all of our requests. If they didn't know a song, they were able to DJ it. No Standards made our night so much fun! They had all of our guests up dancing and enjoying the celebration to the fullest! After the night was over, we had so many guests compliment us on the music at our reception and ask us for No Standards contact info. We are so grateful to No Standards for making our night so much fun and taking so much stress out of the planning! We will be hiring them again for all of our future events! -

The bride was crowdsurfing, that's how our wedding ended. I can't begin to thank No Standards enough for their wonderful and thoughtful performance at our wedding. From the moment we began working with No Standards we knew we were in great hands. We discovered this phenomenal band because they played two other weddings we attended. They keep the hits coming and truly make their performance about the event and the couple getting married. They have an expansive catalogue of songs to choose from, and they even learned two songs especially for our wedding. On the day of the wedding No Standards was prompt and exceedingly professional. The venue's event organizer also adored working with No Standards and said she hoped to work with them again soon. During the event the band read the room perfectly and appeared to be in the moment the entire night and not just going through the motions, also their musicianship is top notch. Our wedding was all about fun and having a band onstage that was smiling ear-to-ear and giving a joyous performance added to the festive atmosphere. Not to mention that everyone in the band (as well as their manager) are warm and friendly people whose passion is clearly evident. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and No Standards played a key role in our celebration. Hire this band, you will be so thankful that you did! -

These guys ROCK! No Standards totally breaks the wedding band mold. If you're looking for a band to bring the party, mixing rock classics with modern day bangers, there is no band better. They have the ability to do the more traditional wedding songs yet can kick it up with energy and vigor that is unrivaled by any wedding band I've ever seen. Highly recommended for any couple who wants a live band to kick out the jams. Besides the quality of the music, they're also simply the nicest people to deal with. They come with ideas, they're happy to learn the songs you want, they're flexible and they read the room perfectly. We could not have been happier. -

The best way to describe them is to tell you that they are so great, after our wedding in 2014, my sister-in-law used them in 2017, and then my cousin-in-law just used them in 2019. They are fantastic, incredibly profesional and utterly talented. Nearly 500 guests over a 5 year period always had the best compliments of them as well. No Standards is well above whatever standard you could ever expect. -

Best Part of the Night!
We couldnt be happier with No Standards as our entertainment for the evening! They were timely, professional, energetic, super fun, and obviously uber-talented! :) I wish we couldve partied into the wee hours with them! Everything leading up to the event was seamless as well. As a busy professional myself, everyone involved was super flexible to my schedule and took calls/emails when convenient for me. 10/10 would hire again if doing it all over. -

The way they would smoothly transition from one song to the next had our guests going crazy singing and dancing along. They played unique medleys featuring Reggae favorites and Michael Jackson! We were brought back to the 90s when they performed a Spice Girls Song and had the song’s Music Video playing on the screens! Our guests were really impressed with the vocals and the instrumental talents. They had an electric violinist! No Standards also provided us with a DJ that always came in at the right time. The best part for us was when they let me and my wife go up on stage to perform a song with them! Thank you guys for really making our ceremony & reception PERFECT... -

Masha Sent on 03/19/2018Hiring No Standards as our wedding band was the best decision I've made in my entire wedding planning process. Steve and the gang were very professional, accommodating and not to even a mention - great performers! At some point in our wedding it started to rain and since the wedding was outside under a tent, the band was informed by the organizers that they would have to turn off electricity to the stage area for safety. The band did not skip a beat and proceeded to sing a cappella and kept the guests on the dance floor without anyone even noticing. I thought it was all part of the performance and found out only later that it was impromptu. I wish I could go back to my wedding day and dance the night away again and again. Thank you No Standards!

They made our magical night, not only unforgettable for us, but every guest still talks about the amazing time they had that night. The dance floor was packed the entire evening. Steve is the consummate gentlemen. He is professional and incredibly easy to work with. Each band member is an exceptional musician in their own right, and they can play any genre of music for any age group. They learned a few songs for our wedding, but they have a huge catalogue of great songs to choose from. We will no doubt book them again when we have our 5 year anniversary bash. Book them, i promise you will not regret it!
