Amazing Kέφι & Energy -- Very Interactive
We interviewed various Greek bands for our wedding, which occurred in August 2025. We needed someone who would be willing to travel to South Carolina, who could play the songs we wanted, and who could get the party started and keep everyone engaged using both Greek and American music. It was important to us that the band be able to adapt to the audience and be interactive. If these are the qualities you're looking for in a band, look no further. Nikos Koutras and his band are the ones you want for your event. They will not let you down. They're responsive and flexible with years of experience -- and they sound phenomenal.
The kefi (κέφι) was amazing – even non-Greeks who had no idea how to Greek dance were up and dancing throughout the night when the Greek music was on. Nikos was in the middle of the dance floor singing directly to my wife and I as we danced, which made the event particularly special, and he switched songs smoothly to keep the crowd engaged. Our wedding was amazing, everyone had a great time, and Nikos Koutras and his band played an important role in making our amazing day even more amazing.
If we want live music again at another event that we host in the future, we'll be reaching out to Nikos Koutras -- without hesitation. -

From the beginning, Nikos was very responsive by reaching out and making sure all of our questions were answered. He was very professional and made sure every little detail was covered. DJ Phil was FANTASTIC and did a great job with keeping everyone engaged. The bouzouki player was out of this world. My main concern (initially) was that we were having a Greek/American wedding. With the majority of the guests being American l was concerned with how they would be able to keep them entertained BUT THEY NAILED IT. Thank you very much Nikos Koutras Greek Band. This wedding was a huge hit. -

Outstanding band
Nikos Koutras was very easy to work with from our initial conversation all the way to the wedding day. He was friendly, patient, polite, pleasant and very responsive. A true professional. He made us feel very comfortable and accommodated all our needs.
The night of the wedding his band and DJ Alex put together an amazing program consisting of demotika, laika and american music. Our guests were dancing all night long. We all had a blast.
Niko thank you for making this important night one to remember.
We strongly recommend the Nikos Koutras band to anyone in need of a Greek band for their special occasion!

Review of Nikos’s band at wedding
Nikos’s band was very professional, organized, and punctual with all their services. The DJ, Alex, provided excellent MC service at my wedding, as well as music sets for dance music. The Greek band can play any Greek song you can think of. We enjoyed having the band at our wedding -

Amazing band & dj
Nikos, the bank and DJ Johnny the Greek were ALL AMAZING! Niko has an incredible voice and his band-mates provide synergy throughout their playing. The DJ was very knowledgeable and really worked with us to find and execute a playlist that our guests and us would absolutely love. This was one of our best decisions we made for our wedding - it was so much fun!!!! The dance floor was packed the entire night! I would highly recommend Nikos and his band, and DJ to anyone and everyone! -

Fantastic band and DJ!
Nikos Koutras was a pleasure to work with - he was very responsive prior to our wedding and his band and our DJ - Peter Valis - were a huge part of what made our wedding reception so fun and enjoyable, both for us and for our guests! Tons of friends told me afterwards that the traditional Greek music was a highlight. Nikos and his band played at my brother's wedding reception a few years ago and I'm very glad he was available to play at our reception, too! Highly recommend! -

Outstanding and professional!
OUTSTANDING! Nikos and his team are extremely talented and professional. Throughout our entire planning process, Nikos was responsive, attentive to every detail, and extremely patient and kind. Every email we sent Nikos was answered within 6 hours. It is clear that Nikos and every member of his team take pride in their work. We had a band and DJ Phil at our wedding; everyone danced: both Greek and American people, and we had the best night of our lives. Countless guests approached us complimenting us on our music and we are still getting texts and phone calls! You made our wedding day magical! We ended the night at 1 am with an incredible 5 minute bouzouki solo. Nikos, thank you so much! -

Nikos Koutras Greek Band review
From our first phone call we knew that this was going to be the band for us. Niko came highly recommended from family and friends and when you speak to him you will know why. He is very accommodating and asked questions that only someone with experience with weddings would know to ask, i.e parents birth towns to get the music correct, venue questions to keep music playing etc. We hired a separate DJ along with Nikos band, he called and spoke to the DJ to go over playing times and to coordinate the night. If you are looking for a great Greek band, with amazing sound and attention to every detail for your venue this is your band! -

Awesome band.. Even better people
Nikos and his band were absolutely amazing. Nikos was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process and always answered our emails/texts within a few hours if we had any questions. The band played every single song that we had requested and our guests were constantly on the dance floor. If you want professional musicians at an affordable price then Nikos Koutras is your man! Amazing! Amazing!
Nikos Koutras was so amazing! He is very professional and responsive and the band is GREAT. The set-up on the day of our wedding was perfect. DJ Johnny is also amazing! We purchased uplifting from him also and it really made a difference to our reception space. Highly recommend! -

What an incredible performance by Nikos and his band!! Thank you for making it such a memorable evening for us and for our guests! You all ROCKED the ballroom and we are so thankful for the time and effort you put into learning our custom song-list and sentimental, special requests. It would not have been the same without you! Our guests were highly satisfied with your performance and we feel so lucky to have booked your services. Thank you also for working so seamlessly with our DJ and hotel coordinator. The musicians on the lyre instrument were extraordinary! Nikos is always so attentive to the details and gets it right! Very entertaining (both singers) and musicians, got all of the Greek and American guests dancing all night long!! Amazing band, we highly recommend!! -

Amazing time at my wedding!
Nikos and his band are absolutely amazing. We can't quite express how unbelievably perfect our wedding was. We are so thankful for the countless hours Nikos and his band/crew put into the performance. From the moment Nikos and his band began playing until the last song people were on the dance floor. The DJ/MC Phill was just as amazing playing a variety of music that had the crowd pumped and dancing. Nikos was so easy to work with, very responsive, and very professional and that is so important. Thank you and your entire band and crew for an amazing evening! Absolutely amazing!
Hiring Nikos Koutras Band was the best decision I made for the whole wedding! I know of them from other weddings I have been to and absolutely loved them each time! The band was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone was up and dancing all night, not a single lull. The DJ was amazing as well and played all the hits and again, not a single dull moment! I had a few specific requests but otherwise gave them free reign on what to play based on what they saw from the crowd, and they did NOT disappoint! Everyone raved about the music. The value for their performance is unbeatable! I would hire them again in a heart beat! They responded to e-mails and phone calls quick and efficiently and were so easy to work with! I would 1000000% recommend them! -

The BEST GREEK BAND for any Greek wedding!
I simply cannot express how highly I would recommend Niko for a Greek wedding!! From the moment I reached out to Niko for information, he was extremely quick to respond and was a delight to work with. We requested nearly 100 songs, some very particular to the northern region of Greece, and he played almost all of them. He was very willing to work with us on learning new songs to play, as well as travel and logistics for the day. Out of 375+ Greek and American guests at my wedding, NOT ONE PERSON said anything critical about Niko and his band! People were actually asking the DJ to stop playing so that the band could play more! We hired Niko and four band members (clarinet, bouzouki, drummer and keyboard), and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. The day after the wedding, both of my younger sisters told my mom that they MUST have Niko play at their weddings in the future! If I was forced to pick only one thing to keep from my wedding day if I were to do it over.....it would be Niko & his band!! -

From the moment we booked Niko Koutras band we knew they would be the best band/Dj service out there! Nikos, Patra, Peter and the rest of Nikos Koutras Band did an amazing job at my son's christening this weekend! My husband and I had never worked with the band before, and Nikos took the time, early on, to get to know what kind of music we like, explaining all the packages available and sharing his honest recommendations based on our preferences. He shared videos of his band members when we weren't sure what we were looking for, and his responsiveness to our questions was remarkable! You can call him at any time and he will answer the phone! My husband and I, and of course our guests, had an amazing time at our son's christening! The music was exactly what we wanted and our guests danced until the very end! The Band was amazing, the MC was great, and they even surprised us with an Albanian singer, as my husband is Albanian and we wanted to make sure both cultures were represented. There was a pretty even split between Greek and Albanian music, and then some top 40s towards the end. I love that the clarinet player came outside on the porch while we were doing the Napoleon dance on the back deck. Absolutely wonderful. -

I am proud to say that I had Nikos Koutras with his band & DJ for my wedding.... They did a phenomenal job...They are 1 reason why my wedding was a complete success . I def would recommend them for any of my future events. The communication between us prior to our wedding was also exceptional . Nikos Koutras is hands down the best decision we made as far as booking a Greek band for our wedding. He has such a great talent as a Greek singer and was able to assemble a band which consisted of the best musicians. He was professional, punctual, accommodating and above all was extremely responsive to all of our requests for our wedding. We booked a band and a DJ and Nikos and our DJ (Alex Kouros via Bravo Sounds) were able to seamlessly work together. The music was non stop and had all of our guests dancing non stop throughout the night. Thank you Niko for helping make our wedding the BEST day of our lives! -

Niko Koutras and his band was very easy to work with and not needing much information. As soon as I told him we want to have our wedding like bouzoukia and play songs as they seem fit. we didn't need to give song list and trusted he would do an excellent job and he did as expected. Many family and friends very happy And satisfied with the results. -

I have no words. Niko was very pleasant to talk to and although I had my reservations with booking a Greek live band for my wedding (our crowd was very diverse), he reassured me that he would make sure that everyone had a good time. He absolutely kept his promise. The dance floor was packed from the beginning to the end and ALL of our guests - despite their ethnicity - had a blast! If you are a Greek couple looking for a good, professional and logically priced music vendor, Nikos Koutras is the one to go with. -

It was such a great pleasure to work with Nikos Koutras and his band/DJ for my wedding. He was very considerate and took time to understand and appreciate what I wanted for my music, as we had a very mixed crowd. The band, as well as DJ Johnny, were simply amazing, and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Working with Niko was easy, non-stressful and enjoyable. We hired Nikos Koutras Greek Band for our wedding and couldn't be any happier. From the very beginning he was easy to talk to, willing to discuss and negotiate services (number of band members, types of instruments) that best fit our budget but without compromising quality. He was open and willing to add on an additional band member just a few days before the wedding! He (at the group) was very professional with a great voice and amazing talent that got every one up singing and dancing. I had also hired other music entertainers and he worked very well and cohesively with the others, you'd think they traveled together! I will definitely use them again for future functions. Thank you so much for a party of a lifetime! -

We cannot say enough great things about the Nikos Koutros band we had at our wedding. It was difficult to hire a band we had never seen play before but after speaking and listening to some of the music Niko sent us, we were excited to have them play at our wedding. Niko and his wife Georgia were so professional. Niko reviewed our music a few times with us to get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding. We hired the band to play greek music and his Dj for the american music who were both awesome! Even though Niko was not available to sing at our wedding, we had two amazing singers, he provided for us. They had us and our guests dancing til the end. I think the best compliment is when some of our guests asked for the bands name and number. Thank you Niko and your entourage for making our wedding day so special and memorable. -

Niko and band were amazing! He was very professional and easy to work with. Most importantly my guests were on the dance floor all night. The band brought out a lot of "kefi". From the classic kalamatiano, to amazin zebekika, even some potiaka! My guests stayed on the dance floor two hours after the event was supposed to end. I highly reccomend Nikos Koutras band for any occasion. I will definitely be using them again for my future events. Thank you again for making my daughters christening a great celebration. -

Nikos Koutras, his band, and DJ Johnny the Greek, were excellent! Not only did Niko go out of his way to meet with us personally for every single detail multiple times, he was quick to respond to emails and phone calls. He explained all our options in detail, was polite, professional, and instantly made us feel at ease with selecting him. His performance at our wedding was phenomenal! He has the perfect classic Greek voice to sing the traditional songs as well as contemporary Greek songs. His musicians and female singer also did an impeccable job and made us proud. My husband and I received countless compliments throughout the night for the quality of music and the spot-on sound system. Additionally, we found the price of his services to be extremely reasonable and he was willing to negotiate prices as well. Overall, hiring the Nikos Koutras band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Rest assured, every one of your guests, both Greek and non-Greek, will be up on their feet dancing the ENTIRE night with great joy and excitement! -

I cannot thank Nikos Koutras and his amazing band for making my daughter Joanna's wedding the talk of the town. Nikos was by far one of the best Greek bands I have heard in the United States. He is professional, courteous, and engaging. For us, music and dancing is in our hearts, and Nikos touched our hearts with his beautiful voice and his band played their hearts away all night long. This band is the best you will ever hear!! There is no need to go anywhere else. I only wish you lived closer so we could dance to your music every weekend. Thank you so much for everything. My husband and I were married on Saturday, February 1st and one of the things that really makes us smile when we look back at our wedding day is our band. Nikos Koutras and his band not only were amazing but they truly made our night magical. Every single song that they chose was appropriate, fun, and really got the crowd up and dancing! My husband is Greek and I am Croatian and the blend of both of our ethnic music together in combination with the American songs that we also love was very even and also flawless. I truly cannot say enough great things about this band! One of our wedding guests liked them so much that they've already booked them for their engagement party this June! I personally would recommend them to everyone! -

What a way to show our culture during our cocktail hour. George, our bouzouki player was excellent! A little preview to some great dancing and culture on the dance floor. There were loads of people on the dance floor all night. Niko really knew how to keep the guests entertained and we are really appreciative of that. We highly recommend Nikos Koutras for any special event and a few of our guests have asked us for his info as well.

This band was great! Nikos was responsive to all my questions and was very flexible. The band manager was at my wedding and she was extremely pleasant to deal with. She even took the time to help show my wife (whom is not Greek) how to dance Kalamatiano. -

I had a big fat Greek wedding minus the cheesiness!!! My wedding was everything I dreamed of and more. The weather was great for a November wedding, the food was incredible ! The music was AMAZING !!! The energy at my wedding was unbelievable. Our families are alot of fun but Niko Koutras and hs band put on an incredible show. My guests could't stop talking about the energy and dancing tat went on that night. Niko played till midnight til the last guests which were me and my husband :) I know it was amazing because everyone I have seen or spoken to nice the wedding uses the same adjective ~ FUN !!!! People usually say, " wedding was great, food was good" etc. mine was fun ! That's the greatest complement And that's because of the music ~~~~~ KOUTRAS !!! If music is the most important thing for your venue then this is the band. I will be ing him for all future events ! Love him !!!! -

I have known of Niko Koutra and his band for quite some time; we placed a priority on Greek music at our wedding and booked Niko and his band because we knew they would deliver a great evening of entertainment - and they absolutely did!
Also worth noting: in contrast to too many other wedding vendors who believe they know best what is right for your event, Niko is HIGHLY professional, easy to work with and responsive. I would book him again in a heartbeat!

Nikos Koutras always replied to all my questions in a timely and professional manner. He was extremely pleasant to work with. I had many questions, and he always responded very quickly. He provided me with music samples, and anything else I asked for. His band was very affordable, and I opted to have both a band and DJ, and Nikos Koutras was able to provide that.
The DJ was also very professional and nice to work with. Both the band and DJ kept the party going. All we really wanted to see was the dance floor packed, and it was all night, during both the Greek music and American. The DJ was an excellent MC and he played what we requested for our dance to walk in with, and other special requests.
Nikos Koutras made special arrangements for my Father-Daughter dance which turned out to be amazing and so special. The mother-son dance was also very special and sounded amazing played by the band.
We still receive compliments on our band and DJ. We've been asked who they are and I continuously recommend them to all our friends.
Nikos Koutras Entertainment played a HUGE part in the success of our wedding. I definitely highly recommend them!!! -

Nikos Koutras Entertainment was amazing! They were originally referred to us by a friend and immediately catered to our every need. We had two bands at our wedding and though the other band had 14 pieces, the Nikos Koutras trio made themselves heard! The lead singer engaged with our 240 guests and invited all non-Greeks to the dance floor and getting them involved in the dancing. My guests enjoyed the band and have not stopped talking about them. In fact, lots of them are already waiting for a christening so they can once again do some Greek dancing... too bad we're not even pregnant yet. I am sure I will be using them for the upcoming celebrations in my family.

Nikos Koutras and his band were AMAZING! Let me start by saying that my wedding was to take place on August 28, 2011 and we ended up changing our date to August 27 do to hurricane Irene. That Friday before our wedding was so stressful, trying to get everything changed to the 27th. When I had called Koutras that Friday, he was so understanding and accommodating. He said no problem, don't worry we will be there! I had about 200 people at my wedding and thanks to Nikos Koutras Entertainment not one person at my wedding was sitting down, everyone was on the dance floor. All my guest said that my wedding was the best reception that they had ever been to. They saved the day and no one cared what the weather was like outside! So a BIG thanks to Nikos Koutras Entertainment!!! -
