We cannot recommend Michelle at Nikkels Photography enough! She was so fun to work with, and even days and weeks after our wedding, guests are still coming up to us telling us how amazing she was. Her energy, professionalism, and presence were felt by everyone!
Michelle is incredibly organized and detail-oriented, and she kept us on track all night with the photo schedule we carefully planned together beforehand. Because of that, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our wedding, knowing everything was handled seamlessly. She also shared so many helpful resources leading up to the wedding and took the time to really learn our story and our dynamics as a couple, which made the experience feel so personal and thoughtful.
If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, fun, professional, and genuinely invested in your experience, Michelle is absolutely the one. Fantastic Wedding Photographer!
We were lucky to already know Michele from Nikkels Photography before our wedding, and choosing her was one of the best decisions we made. She’s incredibly personable, professional, and instantly makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera (which was huge for us).
We started with an engagement shoot, which made the wedding day feel so natural and easy. Michele is extremely organized, keeps things moving smoothly, and coordinates seamlessly with planners to make sure every important moment is captured without feeling rushed.
We loved her editing style — the photos feel timeless, natural, and full of vibrant color. And as a bonus, we got sneak peek photos the night of our wedding and our full gallery way earlier than expected!
We couldn’t recommend Michele and Nikkels Photography more. If you want beautiful photos and a photographer who truly gets it, she’s the one. -

Michele was an amazing, amazing photographer for our wedding!!! I’m so glad we went with her, she felt like a second planner for me and always answered any questions I had, even if they didn’t pertain to photography. Michele’s presence was that of a friend throughout the process, she is so organized and her emails always kept us on track. We did her basic package but it still felt like she went all out for us, and I recommend just going for it with Michele because she made the day-of so easy and stress free!! After our wedding we felt like we should’ve just splurged on her other packages because she was just that awesome! She’s fast and efficient but still very kind! I feel nervous in front of a camera but Michele knows how to make you laugh, pose and feel confident! Absolutely adore her editing style and the candids she was able to capture. She was the best!! All my guests can’t stop talking about the photos. Love her!!

I had Michele photograph my wedding in May 2025, and it was truly the best decision I made out of all the many choices you have to make as a bride. From the moment I booked her, she was communicative, professional, kind, uplifting, and so on top of everything. As a small business owner myself, I genuinely look up to the way she runs her business!
On the day of our fully outdoor wedding, it was 99 degrees, and Michele handled it flawlessly. She was prepared, efficient, and managed to capture every special moment while being so thoughtful about keeping me and the groom out of the sun as much as possible.
When we received our photos, we were blown away—they are absolutely beautiful.
I can’t recommend her enough! If you’re considering booking Michele, do it. You won’t regret it. -

We first spent time with her doing our engagement photos - she had great suggestions for location and timing and easily made us feel comfortable during the shoot. I really appreciated that she was able to give us direction that led to really natural looking photos. On our wedding day, the same was true, she made us feel at ease, was very organized, listened to what we wanted and adapted the plan as needed, and overall was just great to spend time with. Dream Beach Wedding
Michelle was professional and enthusiastic, she captured the best moments of our special day. We wanted memories of our private beach wedding and she made that happen from zipping me into my dress, to capturing my finances face when he first saw me to capturing candid moments of us just being us. Since we didn’t have a traditional wedding she pivoted amazingly and was flexible with us! Michelle would be an amazing asset to any couples next event whatever that me be! -

From reading Michele’s website and that she “considers a charcuterie board an acceptable form of dinner” – which we most definitely do – we had a good feeling that she would be the photographer for us. And sure enough, she was! Her friendliness and ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, but also keen eye for detail and capturing the perfect moments, especially those not staged, had us quickly hiring her for our wedding. Her detail orientation allowed us to figure out what groups and couples we wanted pictures of in advance. Working with Michele was the best decision - She truly captured our day as we remember it, which was one of the most important things to me. And, we made a great friend in the process! -

Amazing!
Michele is a GEM!! Throughout the whole process Michele was so easy to work with. She was very organized & her communication was on point. She sent me questionnaires that went over every scenario & detail she would need to know to do her job. We met during our engagement photo's & she was very professional & made us feel comfortable. I appreciated the fact that I had a chance to get to know & meet her before the big day.
Once the big day finally came we were on a tight time frame & Michele was patient & managed to keep everyone organized & fit in all of our different photo combos with ease.
I am extremely happy with all of the photo's, she was able to capture every beautiful moment & I am very thankfully! & to top it off she even got the photo's back sooner than expected! -

She had all of the family photos organized, and got everyone moving, thereby making a chore feel pleasurable. Michele worked quickly and thoughtfully.

Amazing destination wedding
We were out of towners booking a destination wedding in the central coast and Nikkels photography came up in a google search and I’m SO glad it did. Michelle and Kasie (her associate who took our shots day of) were both amazing. They had everything planned to a T which made my stress level decrease so much. They were on top of everything. Kasie had so many ideas of where to get great shots that we didn’t even think of and our photos turned out amazing. Michelle truly acted as our event coordinator for the day and everything was so organized and went off without a hitch. One of the best decisions I made during wedding planning was hiring Nikkels photography, and there aren't words to express how much I appreciated Michele and her team! Michele was extremely professional from start to finish, paying attention to every single detail, gracefully managing a postponement and all the headaches that came with COVID-19 restrictions, and was SUCH a joy on the day of - our families and wedding party of 20 raved about her and her team and how nice/efficient they were. Even more importantly, she is SO skilled at what she does and delivered some of the most beautiful wedding images I have ever seen - 9 weeks early! Every single image she provided to us was amazing, and we couldn't have asked for anything more from a wedding photographer! Michele not only made life easy and had my back day-of, but she's just a wonderful person who truly cares about every couple she photographs. I knew all along I was in the best of hands with her. Absolutely exceptional
Groom - It's a bit of a running joke in my wife's family now non-photogenic we are. Standing in romantic poses can be awkward and weird! Especially when you're all dressed up and all eyes are on you. I'm not sure how she did it, but Michelle pulled us right out of our awkwardness and made us feel at ease. Before the wedding, I was legitimately worried that we would get these photos back and I would hate them. But seriously, we couldn't be happier with them. The quality of the photos are suburb. She was able to capture so many moments that just flew by in the wedding that it was like reliving it for a second time. All the "posed" photos turned out so good! She starts laughing, then the group starts laughing, then all of us are really enjoying ourselves and she captures that moment. My wife and I wanted to make a photo book but it’s almost impossible to narrow them down to the "good ones" because there are so many of them!
She's seriously amazing. Worth every penny. 10 out of 10. Would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to anyone. Especially those people who need a little encouragement to smile, like myself. She made all the difference.

Ladies, if you have a reluctant or shy groom, don't hesitate to book Nikkels Photography for your wedding and engagement photos! I was a groom very shy and reluctant get my picture taken at all, much less be in a photo shoot, yet Michele's personality and professionalism won me over very quickly. She makes the whole process playful and fun. From our initial consultation over donuts at a trendy cafe downtown to the engagement shoot, all leading to the big day, Michele kept us relaxed and in a good mood. She's good at wearing multiple hats, taking charge of a group for family photos, and making you look and feel your best on the most exciting (and fast-paced) day of your life. She not only has a very artistic style and refined proficiency behind the lens, but her ability to relate to the couple and make them comfortable is a quality not many posses and sets her apart in her field. Amazing! Will Be Using Again in the Future!
I loved Michele ever since our first phone call! Her passion for photography and to get every little wedding detail is amazing! She and her husband, Andrew, did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding photos (and she did our engagement shoot a year before our wedding). She was excellent with communication from the moment we approached her last spring. She checked in with our during the year and even sent us gifts in the mail!! She got our wedding photos back to us within two weeks of our wedding--which is insane, as we weren't expecting them for a few months! She went above and beyond any other vendor we had for our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend her. We hope to continue with anniversary (and someday pregnancy/baby) shoots in the future! :)
