Nieto Photography did an amazing job with our engagement, bridal, and wedding photography. We really appreciate Chris's photography/editing style and eye for detail. We have great "standard" photos but also highly stylized photos that really have that wow effect. Chris was very flexible on our wedding day and was able to stay extra hours to capture all of our end of reception and exit shots. Chris has also been timely in getting all our photos back to us for review. Overall we would highly recommend Nieto Photography and will definitely use them for future photography needs!

Amazing Photography
Nieto Photography did the photography for my daughter and her now husband starting with engagement photos, then bridal portraits and then the wedding October 2021. I cannot say enough about them, all the photos were extraordinary and Chris was always professional and prompt and for the wedding was onsite for more than 10 hours. We ended up with over 1000 edited photos and could not be happier with how everything turned out. Chris is an A++ professional and super talented.

I have known Chris for quite some time and was already familiar with his work. He was able to capture the best details for our wedding and was timely in getting the photo package back to us. His creative eye was something that we greatly appreciated. We were able to adjust the timing as well so that he could get images of our exit. Chris was such a pleasure to work with! He is laid back, cheery & efficient. After our engagement session my fiancé (who is never excited about taking pictures) said “We are all done? Wow, that was painless!”
He also has an excellent list of other wedding vendors that he has worked with. He helped me find my hair, makeup & cake vendors - all of whom I was thrilled with! Over the course of planning & then rescheduling(2020) our wedding, Chris was quick to respond and flexible.
My bridal portraits were fun and turned out incredible! On the wedding day he worked quickly through the list of shots and when the reception rolled around I forgot that they were even there. I could not have been more pleased with all of the final products. We will definitely be calling Chris Nieto for all of our milestone photography needs!

Having my daughter's wedding during a pandemic could have been overwhelming and stressful, but having the photos taken by Chris, and his assistant, was easy and natural. Natural, professional, fun to work with, and great pictures
Chris (and his helper) were fun, professional and made us totally relaxed. Which is great, but relaxed people take better pictures than uptight people. Chris prefers naturalistic pictures over overly staged pictures (which my wife and I both prefer). He got samples back to us almost right away and the finished pictures within a few weeks. And they're great. He even included a few "outtakes" which will never end up on a website but are great to have. We highly recommend Chris!

My granddaughter’s wedding
We were dealing with Hurricane Delta the weekend of my granddaughters wedding, Chris was right there waiting for a break in the rain, and thank God, we got it! He got the pictures done and you can’t even tell that it had been rainy and cloudy in the pictures. He even gives you A sneak peek the same day of the wedding!!

Chris literally made our (wedding) day!!!!
We hired Chris as a photographer for our downtown Durham courthouse wedding, but he was so much more to us! I had worked with him previously and am a big fan of his work, so when I was looking for a wedding photographer, he was the first person I called. He arrived early, took some solo shots of each of us, and had great suggestions for photo spots throughout downtown. He was also flexible and willing to quickly work in ALL the locations that I had in mind (poor guy!) He has a way of setting you at ease, which was super helpful for my husband, my mom, and I, who were all understandably excited and nervous on the big day. He gave us plenty of suggestions on different poses, and helped us relax and enjoy the whole process. In case you haven’t had many photo shoots, just book Chris! It’s so much fun, he will tell you exactly what to do (if you need the advice), and you will be shocked when you see the results! One additional note for Covid courthouse weddings - at least in Durham, you are only allowed to bring two people as witnesses due to Covid, but cameras are still allowed. So Chris was our photographer, witness, audience, and by the end - he felt like part of our family! After, he sent us a few quick sample photos that we were able to share immediately with family and friends. He sent us online access to all of the photos within two weeks, and now we are just struggling trying to pick our favorites. Thanks, again, Chris! We love you!

Better than ever expected
We had a very small wedding at the courthouse and then a fun and fabulous reception. We wanted tons of family pictures and then plenty of candid pictures of the reception. Chris was so patient with all my family members and young nieces/nephews. Christ made us feel like we had all the time in the world and was even available when we added the Bride/Groom pictures before the reception with little warning. We got our pictures back in LESS than a month and I can't believe the variety and fantastic moments that were captured. Its amazing to see the pictures capture moments you missed or didn't realize happen. I would suggest Chris for ANY friends of mine who want a wedding photographer!

My now husband and I had Chris N. Take some engagement shots for us. When I sent him the idea he didn’t bat an eye, just said “when?” I must tell you that we wanted engagement shots in the water. Not a lot of photographers would have done it but Chris was neck deep in the Eno River with a camera protector on making my dream a reality. The pictures came out beautiful so if we absolutely had to have him for our wedding day.

Best in the photography business!
He is the BEST in the photography business! I saw his work and knew that I absolutely had to have him as my wedding photographer! My wedding pictures look like they’re straight out a magazine! I couldn’t be happier with my pictures! There is no comparison to his talent and passion! He never worked with our videographer before, but it was like they worked together a million times!! We had a small wedding and wanted photography services to match our style, budget, and venue. Chris worked with us to provide exactly what we wanted. Stunning photos
Chris’ ability to capture the moment, coupled with his “eye” for the shot truly do make him a wonderful photographer. He was also able to send us a few shots from our wedding that evening for us to look over, which made it so special. And I cannot forget, Chris is so much fun to work with...and that for me makes him the best!

Wonderful Pictures for an international wedding
Chris took our engagement pictures as well as our wedding pictures and the results were breathtaking. The pictures looked like that of cover magazines. My husband and I were
(and still are) very impressed with his work and so are our friends and family. I will definitely use his services again. He did a phenomenal work at capturing the moments and immortalizing them. Every single picture is a mastermind work. He also help us put together pictures slideshow to show our guests during the wedding reception. The Slideshow was perfect. Thank You Chris!!!

Excellent experience, stunning pictures!
We are so glad we had Chris and his team as part of our day! He was always incredibly quick to respond to questions, easy to talk to and went with the flow of the day (and all the kids in our wedding party). It was freezing the day of the wedding and he found ways to take creative photos without making us go outside.
We even had preview of a number of stunning photos within 24 hours of the wedding. Just an excellent overall experience!

Chris is the photographer to choose in Raleigh. We were honored to have him capture our engagement, bridal and wedding pictures and we could not have chosen a better photographer for our most memorable moments yet to date. We knew Chris would do a great job, but he exceeded our expectations! Chris went above and beyond to make sure he captured the most important parts of our day from the girls getting ready, to the guys putting on their ties, to our first look, ceremony, hours of dancing, and our glow stick exit. Chris made sure we got the city pictures we requested by taking us to some unique locations in downtown Raleigh to get some scenic downtown sunset pictures. Our friends said our pictures look like they are from a magazine. We will treasure our wedding pictures forever. Chris also recommended many of our other vendors and we were so happy with everyone. Nieto Photography made my wedding perfect! Chris was really cool and I usually do not like taking pictures but he made it a fun experience. When we got our wedding photos back I could not stop staring at them. They are the most professional powerful photos I have ever seen. He has a real eye and captures each moment in such a unique way. Working with Chris was amazing and I could not recommend him enough! I got married June 2, 2018 on my parents' farm and in less than a week and a half I have already received the 1400+ edited photos from our big day! He is a true visionary and creates wonders through his lens. His lighting is fantastic! All my photos look so clean, and colorful, no matter the true lighting situation. I am not always the most photogenic person but he gives clear, simple directs that made me feel comfortable and look perfect! The day of my bridal portrait session it had been thunder storming just minutes before we started, and he and his assist went above and beyond to make sure that my dress remained spotless. This, despite the fact that I was standing in the middle of a cow pasture, and standing on a rock in the middle of a stream! That day he also brought a beautiful, green love seat and set it in a patch of woods and it created the most beautiful, woodland setting! Multiple members of his team were at my wedding and they captured all the things that I was unable to see (i.e. all the centerpieces, signs, guest arrivals). My guest commented on how much all the photographers blended in, but made them feel like they were being captured in all the moments as well. Chris is also a really nice, chill and funny guy. He is genuine and passionate, and doesn't give you the fake jolly, perky persona that some wedding photographers do. It's clear that he cares about his art. He was truly great to work with!

Chris was my Wedding photographer on May 12, 2018 at Chapel in the Woods in Louisburg. Prior to the Wedding, Chris also did my Bridal Portraits and they came out absolutely stunning. Everything about working with Chris was great! Communications were prompt and even though I didn't really give him any direction on what type of shots I wanted for the Wedding, he was able to capture everything beyond expectation and in a beautifully creative way. The Wedding went super smooth without a hitch or flaw!

Choosing Chris for our wedding day was literally one of the BEST decisions we could have ever made. We are pretty easy going and his professionalism paired with his easy going manner and ability to blend in seamlessly and capture any and every moment we could imagine, made our day just that much more incredible.
Everything goes so fast and you are just not able to take it in. Seeing our day through his eyes and the details I missed truly brought tears to my eyes when viewing our proofs. Chris has such an ability to put his subjects at ease, he was early to our event and let me know he was there to ease my mind.
His ability to work with light and his composition left absolutely nothing to be desired and I believe he will absolutely go above and beyond for each bride and groom to make sure your day is exceedingly and abundantly above your expectations.

We had a very small intimate wedding and had only discussed pictures for the ceremony and afterwards, but Chris went out of his way to make sure to capture all the amazing moments of that day even if it was a small wedding! During our wedding planning we lived out of state, but after seeing Chris’ portfolio online we knew we had to have him as our photographer! It was not until a couple weeks before the wedding that we were able to finally meet Chris in person. We could not have been happier with how fantastic everything turned out. I can't even begin to praise Chris enough for everything he did for us. I was impressed by his work when I met him at a wedding showcase, so I hired him for my wedding. As I got to continue to work with him though, I realized I'd hit the jackpot with my photographer. He was so flexible when there was uncertainty around my venue being able to schedule my bridal portraits, and he made me look great in my pictures on an extremely hot day (no sweat in the pictures!). Whenever I texted or emailed him through the entire wedding process, he responded almost immediately. He showed up at the rehearsal without me knowing he would be there, because he wanted to get a feel for how the ceremony would go so he would get the best possible pictures the next day. This was not in his contract and he had no obligation to do it, which speaks to his commitment to great work. And, of course, he delivered on that the next day; he was so easy to work with, got pictures I didn't even know he was taking when I later looked at them, and produced some incredible pictures. Save yourself the headache, and go with Chris Nieto as your photographer! I guarantee you will have zero regrets!

Chris did an amazing job photographing my wedding and creating memorable and lasting images for my family to enjoy, forever. Our ceremony was not a formal wedding venue, but at my family home of more than 55 years, just prior to my parents finally selling it. Chris captured the beauty of the South Carolina trees and setting for the wedding, nd treated the family home like an individual at the wedding, helping us capture important memories of a place that would soon be passing into memory. My wife's wedding portrait is gorgeous, my beautiful step-daughters are forever captured at that moment in time, and Chris also gifted us with some of my very favorite pictures of my parents. We didn't have a great structure for organizing the pictures we wanted, the marriage had been a whirlwind, but Chris really stepped in and helped us pull everything together on the day to make it amazing and memorable. I would highly recommend his services.

I met Chris a few years ago before I was engaged and after seeing his work I knew I wanted him as my wedding photographer one day! Finally when the day came, he was first on the list to book! As a bride you can't wait to relive your wedding day again and again through your pictures and Chris creates that perfect story. The night of my wedding I already had a few image samples to look through and then after just a couple weeks had the rest. Each picture is perfect, capturing everything I had hoped for! Chris and his photos are absolutely amazing!!! Not only is he great at what he does, but he has an awesome personality and is super flexible. Both our engagement pictures and our wedding was about three hours from his home, but he was more than willing to travel to get the pictures we wanted. I had originally set my wedding date for May; however, we had the opportunity to move it up to February, three months earlier than anticipated. I let Chris know this ONE MONTH before my new wedding date and he was more than happy to work with us! He was the first person at the venue that day ready to roll. He captured everything we wanted in our pictures! He did a fantastic job and I HIGHLY recommend him!!!

Nieto Photography did a great job for my daughter's engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding day photography. Chris was so friendly and professional. He made us feel at ease during all of the photography sessions. The bridal portraits he did for Ashley were absolutely amazing, it was so difficult to choose the official portrait with so many great photos. He worked with us on our unique choices for venue for some amazing shots, and then he recommended personal favorites, which turned out to be the portrait of our choice! On the wedding day, he worked tirelessly to provide a full day of photos from the time the bridal party arrived for hair and makeup, through the evening's events and the final send off.

I cannot describe how fantastic Chris Nieto is as a photographer. I was really against getting engagement pictures and bridal portraits because it felt unnecessary, but Chris included it in his package and my mom pushed for it. He let us choose the locations, and then he created some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. I often feel engagement pictures look cheesy or too staged, but he captured it in a way that it looked like art. For our engagement pictures, he let us bring our dogs along for the second set of pictures, and little did I know our oldest would pass away unexpectedly 3 months later. I look at those pictures every single day. Not only are they beautiful, but they capture our little family in such a way that you can truly see the love between us. These pictures are now one of my most cherished possessions, and I'm SO glad I hired Chris. He was early for everything, responded quick, traveled through the snow and ice, and I really felt like he listened to what I wanted unlike a lot of wedding vendors who want to do things how they are comfortable. The people that work with him are also fantastic! I will hire him for every portrait throughout my life he'd be willing to shoot. Like I said in the beginning, words cannot describe how talented Chris is so just know you will have timeless pictures of precious memories that will last you a lifetime.

Chris was amazing, from start to finish. When we hired Chris, my husband and I had just moved to Raleigh, so we weren't really sure where we wanted engagement photos, or which vendors to choose. Chris picked a beautiful spot for our engagement photos, and had a quick turn around for those. He also gave me some awesome recommendations for our vendors! When it came down to the wedding date, there were some hiccups in my dress being ready...but Chris worked with me since I wouldn't be able to do bridal portraits before the wedding day. Then the wedding day photos.... They were amazing! He even had them finished and to us by the time we returned from our honeymoon. I would highly recommend him to anyone, and hope to use him in the future for family/maternity photos!

We had a unique experience with Chris. We asked him to shoot our bow renewal - with our three small boys - at the small airfield where my dad keeps his place. The place is special for us because I grew up hanging there and we had our wedding reception in the biggest airplane hangar. My husband casually mentioned renewing our vows, and we kept our original wedding so laid back we didn't have an official photographer, so I knew I wanted a photographer for this special occasion. My wedding dress fit again (!!!!), Chris had a vision that included my boys, my dad's plane and the runway at sunset. We went for it and the photos were amazing. I dont know how he captures the stunning beauty at every occasion. I can only say it's a gift and I'm glad he shared it with us. We now have official wedding photos and my walls are running out of canvas space. Thank you, Chris, for sharing your gift and talent with us.

This review is long overdue. Chris went above and beyond to capture our wedding in Mexico. Yes, we flew him to Mexico to photograph our wedding. It was the best decision we made. He has has now photographed several family sessions for us. We now live in CA but when we go back home we plan on using his services again. He has done several friends weddings and they have all been happy with his services. You can't go wrong choosing Chris to take photos of the most important day of your life.

Hiring Chris and Nieto Photography for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! Chris has a wonderfully creative eye and is incredibly responsive. After all the stress of planning the wedding it was such a relief to just sit back and enjoy the day without worrying about getting all the pictures I wanted. Chris was great and was on top of everything. It was so amazing to see all the beautiful photos he and his partner took. Truely beautiful. Because of family reasons I needed a photo book of the wedding ASAP, and Chris delivered. He sent us a bunch of the pictures just a few hours after the wedding. I am usually not one with words, but even if I was, I do not think I could accurately portray just how great of an experience I had having Chris as my wedding photographer. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to understand what we wanted, researched and scoped out scenery/lighting if necessary, and did whatever he needed to do to capture that special moment for us. From proposal, to engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and then our wedding, the pictures just grew more and more amazing. And when I say amazing, I mean they look like they came straight out of a magazine. I couldn't have dreamed of anything better. If I could give brides one word of advice as they plan their wedding, it would be to book Chris. Your wedding pictures last forever, and his work is the best of the best.

Chris Nieto did a fabulous job of my daughter's engagement, bridal and wedding photos. Chris listened to Lindsey and captured photos that were different and uniquely her style. Chris was with us all day the day of the wedding. Starting at our hotel were we were getting ready and then on to the venue. Chris puts you at ease and you forget he's even there. After each of the photo sessions Chris sent Lindsey and sneak preview of the photos taken. So an hour after the wedding we had a sneak preview of about forty photos to look at. That was great! Lindsey wanted candid shots and Chris got some really good photos of people on the dance floor. Chris works really hard all day and night to get wonderful photos. I would highly recommend Chris for any of your photography needs!

Being involved in the wedding industry for several years as a florist, when it came time for my daughter's wedding I picked the best-of-the-best for her vendors. Because of a series of very fortunate events, this included Chris Nieto of Nieto Photography. He had actually photographed her proposal during a styled shoot, and we instantly knew we wanted him for the wedding. He ended up doing her engagement pictures at the Outer Banks which were breathtaking, her portraits in Charleston which are indescribable, and from the sneak peeks we've seen from the wedding, he has outdone himself. Chris has a great personality, the patience of Job (he has to with all this kids!), and a great sense of humor. He is also willing to travel wherever to catch that extra-special shot. He is very thorough in his scouting of an area for potential photo ops. We were very pleased with all the options he photographed in Charleston. He has a real eye for what makes a photograph become a work of art. Lastly, I will add he did not feel well on my daughter's wedding day and we never knew it. He never missed a beat, and we only found out how bad he felt after the fact. I recommend him with the highest confidence.

When we set out to find the right photographer for our wedding, we were really concerned with finding someone who provided great value in their wedding packages, had some variety in their photo style, and was comfortable to work with. This doesn’t even begin to describe the experience that Chris Nieto provided us for our big day and engagement session. He was so easy to work with, and would make suggestions to us for our Gatsby-inspired wedding during times when we weren’t sure of things. His professionalism and efficiency with capturing perfect moments blew us away. His passion for his photography service leads to an enjoyable experience for the customer and 1st class pictures. Our engagement session included a location in Chapel Hill where he had not shot before, and he arrived an hour early to walk around and familiarize himself before delivering photography that we will cherish forever. When our wedding day arrived, he put together a team of assistants and captured our entire day leading up to the ceremony. He captured every special detail that we had filled the reception area with, and was front row for the endless dancing with amazing shots of the excitement. You would never even notice he was right there on the dance floor having fun alongside your guests. He was very personable and had us laughing and enjoying the process of planning our wedding day. His familiarity with the wedding business even led to great recommendations for other vendors as we were planning other services. We are so in love with the amazing collection of photos that we now have from our wedding and engagement. Chris Nieto will be someone we recommend to everyone and will use again as we start new chapters in our lives together.

My husband and I decided on a courthouse wedding at the end of January 2016 (very spontaneous and last minute lol). After searching frantically for a last minute photographer, another photographer referred me to Chris and he was amazing! He was extremely flexible and professional with all of my needs. He made sure that my husband and I, along with our families were comfortable in front of the camera, made us laugh and took beyond amazing shots. I especially loved the spontaneous shots he captured and how quickly he had our photos ready! We hired Chris as our photographer for our spring wedding, one of the best decisions we could have made to help us remember our big day! He did such an amazing job- our wedding guests are still in awe of our pictures. Chris is very affordable and offers engagement and bridal shoots in addition to your wedding day photos. In reviewing our photos from engagement to wedding day we could tell the time and effort he put into making each photo perfect (and there were a lot of photos!) In addition to his incredible talent as a photographer, he is also very personable and super easy to work with. He always made time for our questions (and emails) and was very quick to respond. Chris is one of, if not the best photographer in the area. He can do it all; weddings, family photos, engagement pictures, homes, babies, bridal portraits, everything! Nieto has photographed many of our friends and family prior to us and we were always impressed with his work. As soon as we got engaged, we knew he'd be doing all of our photos. He did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and our wedding. I told him my vision and he made them come true!
