Hiring Nicole and her team was hands-down one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. Not only are the photos and videos absolutely incredible, but Nicole's personality, responsiveness, and ability to put both us and everyone around us at ease are truly exceptional.
We consider ourselves a pretty unphotogenic couple, but Nicole gave us clear, reassuring guidance every step of the way, and somehow made us look completely natural. She is the perfect balance of professional, organized, warm, and calming. So many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with her and how comfortable she made everyone feel.
Beyond taking stunning photos, Nicole helped make our wedding day feel calmer. She gave just enough direction without making anything feel staged, and she somehow managed to capture so many candid moments while blending into the background. Looking through our gallery feels like reliving the entire day.
On top of all that, her turnaround time for delivering our photos was mind-blowing. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience and will treasure these memories forever. I honestly want to get married again just so we can work with Nicole one more time! -

Tim and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nicole Chan Photography and the incredible job Nicole did capturing our wedding day. From the start, Nicole made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Planning our Boston wedding from Oregon could have brought a ton of stress and chaos, but Nicole was organized and communicated with us well to ensure we were all on the same page with expectations and the details that we were looking for her to capture on our wedding day.
Our day began with photos at the Envoy Hotel before transitioning to Woods Hill Pier 4 for our ceremony and dinner, and she captured every moment beautifully, including the chilly walk over. Even though it was a freezing December day in Boston, Nicole was game to head outside with us multiple times for photos, and those outdoor shots turned out to be some of our absolute favorites. The way she and her assistant captured the little details and candid moments throughout the day was nothing short of incredible.
Nicole took every shot we requested and went above and beyond to include our dog, William, in some truly special images. At one point, William made a bit of a mess, and Nicole graciously jumped in to help Tim with the cleanup—her kindness and willingness to assist didn’t go unnoticed. She made both Tim and me feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which allowed our images to exceed even our highest expectations.
We can’t stop looking at the images Nicole and her team delivered—they perfectly captured the essence of our wedding day. From the big moments to the small, personal details, every photo feels meaningful and timeless. Nicole’s professionalism, warmth, and talent made her an absolute joy to work with.

Nicole Chan is the best photographer we ever could have hoped to work with. Beyond that, she is the best person we could have ever hoped to work with. From the moment we met her it was clear how much joy she has for capturing beautiful memories and how much passion she puts into her work. She put us at ease right away and made us feel so comfortable. We initially reached out to Nicole for photo and video coverage of our December 2024 wedding because her portfolio is exquisite. What we could not see from her work alone was the dedication, care, consideration, and personalized attention she puts into every session. I highly recommend booking an engagement photo session with Nicole so you will have the chance to get to know her before your big day. Our photos came back astoundingly quickly after our wedding and though the video coverage is still in the works, we have absolutely no doubt that we will be thrilled with the results. Throughout the wedding planning process, I corresponded with Nicole countless times and she always got back to me right away, assuring me that everything would come together while making helpful suggestions based on her expertise. We can't say enough wonderful things about Nicole and her team! From start to finish, they were absolutely fantastic. Nicole and Karen were incredibly organized, making our wedding day so much less stressful. They managed to capture every special moment perfectly, and the photos are stunning! We were blown away by how quickly we received them.
Nicole even managed to work her magic with our cats, who are notorious for being difficult to photograph—she literally herded cats! We feel so lucky to have had such a great experience and highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Nicole and her team were amazing. The pictures they took were phenomenal and really captured the joy of our wedding day. Nicole made the process fun and easy and went out of her way to make sure that my husband and I were comfortable. Not only did she make us look fabulous, she somehow managed to get great pictures of all the children in our wedding! If you know children you know this is not an easy feat! Not only is Nicole a lovely and profession human, she goes beyond what would be expected of any photographer. Nicole helped bustle my wedding dress and fixed my hair mid Hora. There are not many photographers I know that would do that. I have always been told that you want a wedding photographer that is professional, fun, engaging, and (obviously) a great photographer. Nicole and her team are just that. They are simply the best and I would recommend them to anyone who wants amazing photos and a seamless photography experience. -

Working with Nicole and her team for our wedding was a dream! She made every vision a reality and was a total sport when it came to our quirky style and the special set ups we wanted including a red carpet entry and a "remake" of The Graduate for our Save the Date! And more than a sport she was INTO IT! She and her team brought such fun and enthusiasm to the day coupled the total professionalism. My family kept commenting, "the photographers were working their tails off all night! Like paparazzi!" And the outcome is STUNNING. Amazing!!!!!!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Nicole Chan and one of her amazing people, Victor, at our wedding. I could write a novel on how amazing they both were, but I don’t think I have enough room on this website. They were absolutely phenomenal. Our entire day was such a pleasant experience with both of them. They were so professional, and made us feel comfortable and calm. There were moments where I didn’t even know they were there, and I think that is one of the many things that makes a good wedding photographer! We had so much fun doing our day of them. We’ve gotten a handful of them back and we are absolutely blown. The quality, creativeness, and moments are unbelievable. Nicole is your dream photographer!
Nicole Chan should be everyone’s first choice for wedding photographer!
We were so glad Nicole Chan was available on our daughter’s wedding date.
Nicole was incredibly organized and professional throughout every step of the way... For example, before our daughter’s wedding, Nicole Zoomed with us and asked great questions to get to know us and also to get us thinking. After our meeting, Nicole shared excellent articles and blog posts she had previously written which were full of thoughtful tips. These articles helped us accurately imagine wedding day and figure out what pictures we really wanted.
Well before the wedding, Nicole shared a google doc with us so we could add in the most important wedding day pictures, etc.
On wedding day, Nicole was on-time and talented at her craft. She was organized and direct about getting the various groups formed for the portraits. She had the exact right balance of organization, professionalism and warmth.
She was friendly and respectful to everyone and put everyone at ease.
The photos Nicole Chan took were phenomenal! Gorgeous and artistic photography! My only problem is which pictures to frame and which to include in albums, because so many photos are outstanding. Our daughter is so happy! So are we!
I give the highest recommendation for Nicole Chan photography! -

Nicole and her team were incredible at my wedding. They showed up just as me and my bridal party were getting our makeup done and started capturing the magical moments. She and her assistant were super organized and captured all the family photos before the ceremony started. During and after the ceremony, you could barely tell they were there save for a few times she pulled me and my friends aside for other group photos.
I would highly recommend Nicole Chan Photography as they are kind, professional, and produce stunning photos. -

Amazing experience. Made us feel really comfortable
Nicole is amazing! We booked her to do our wedding this month and are so glad we did. We loved her artistic eye and the way she was able to capture every little moment in a very natural way. Nicole was simply amazing from start to finish. From planning with us regarding what shots we wanted to making sure we got all the shots we wanted day of, Nicole was on point and far exceeded our expectations. Nicole was extremely good at giving us direction and capturing all of the right angles. In the end our wedding pictures ended up absolutely beautiful. She made the concrete walls of City Hall Boston look like the best destination for a ceremony and caught the most wonderful candid photos. Every friend, family member, coworker, etc. has let me know how amazing the photos are. Nicole also processed our photos with blinding speed and delivered them in a very professional and accessible manner. I cannot recommend Nicole enough. If you are planning a wedding, Nicole is your photographer. -

I reached out to Nicole for a wedding portrait session after getting married in October and receiving lackluster portraits from my original wedding photographer. I heard back from her right away and was able to schedule a portrait session in her studio in Boston. We just had the portrait session a few days ago, and the whole experience was fantastic! Nicole (and her assistant, Kelly) were fantastic with using the right lighting and posing suggestions to get us to look our best. I was also impressed at how attentive she was to things like slight hair or clothing malfunctions, which are easy to miss in the moment but can really spoil photos later. To our surprise, we received our photos the very same day, and were blown away by how good they are! I showed them to a friend and she marveled at how true the colors were (not an easy task, with iridescent Indian silk clothing). I was a bit worried that a studio session would look staid and flat but that was not the case at all. My only regret after the session is that I didn’t use Nicole Chan Photography for our wedding—highly, highly recommended! -

We worked with Nicole to photograph our small wedding on NYE in the Boston Public Garden and were absolutely impressed with her expertise and final results. Even with a small wedding (>15 total people), we had to change plans a few times and Nicole was with us every step of the way. What was most important to us was having a photographer that was familiar with the area and we definitely benefitted from Nicole's expertise. She even helped us get a second set of family photos in our hotel that we didn't even plan on. She took on the corralling of family members so well that it seemed effortless. We also had a great surprise when looking through our ceremony photos because we couldn't believe that she was able to get so many angles of us and our guests as a single photographer. Nicole was prompt, professional but also fun to be with during our solo session. Nicole also turned our gallery around so fast. It made our minimoon to be able to review our special day that quickly. -

I received a link to their wedding album and was just so blown away by how amazing their pictures came out. I hadn't seen anything like it before. It wasn't just posed pictures of people saying "cheese", it was full of really great, candid moments that captured emotion. Nicole was so responsive and helpful during the planning process. My husband and I weren't used to being photographed that much and Nicole made our engagement shoot fun and relaxing. The pictures came out great. We used our engagement photos in an album that doubled as our guestbook made by Nicole Chan Photography. On the day of our wedding, Nicole and her team were such great company. It really helped wedding nerves to have them around. Nicole is just as great of a person as she is an artist. It was so helpful to have her professional guidance as well. My wedding was almost a year ago and I still get filled with joy looking at the pictures. I love all of them. My husband and I don't consider ourselves very photogenic but we love how we look in these. Her photos do an amazing job of authentically capturing the moment. The photos are so high quality too. I can spot the difference between a wedding photo a guest took on their cellphone and a photo taken by Nicole Chan Photography. She is worth every penny. Amy Sent on 10/31/2014One of the hardest parts about wedding planning is finding the right photographer who will capture your wedding and provide you with lasting memories. Lucky for me, right before I became engaged my friend had her wedding and had the perfect recommendation for me. And having seen all of the beautiful photos from her wedding I knew I wanted to use Nicole Chan Photography to capture my wedding.
Our photographers were Karen and Ashley and they were both amazing. Karen is simply the best - she is warm, funny, and makes you comfortable. Neither my husband nor I are very photogenic but she had a way to make me feel at ease. From our first phone conversation I knew we would be in good hands.
Just a few weeks after our wedding we received several sneak peaks and then our actual gallery. I had tears in my eyes as I watched the slide show of my wedding - so many moments that I, as the bride, missed and would never have seen otherwise. Our family and friends have been raving about the images.
I would highly recommend Karen Eng of Nicole Chan Photography to any bride-to-be who would listen. -
User1685068 Sent on 06/29/2014My husband and I knew as soon as we got engaged that one of our main priorities was our photography. Neither of us are exactly comfortable in front of the lens, but that didn't matter once we met Nicole.
Being around Nicole is like talking to that friend that you have had since kindergarten. She immediately makes you feel comfortable, happy and warm. She is infectiously nice, and that is true of her entire team in their own way. If that wasn't enough, their photography and work speaks for itself. They were able to capture not only beautiful portraits and "required" shots but really more of the intimate candid pictures that let you relive the day that goes by way too fast.
Nicole is a professional in all senses of the word and more so just an amazing person. We were truly blessed to have worked with such great photographers and will be using Nicole to capture the other "special moments" in our lives!
