We had our wedding at the Newagen Seaside Inn on the weekend of October 11, and it’s honestly hard to put into words just how magical the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the staff made us feel cared for, supported, and completely at ease. Their warmth and kindness shone through in everything they did, and it meant the world to us.

The entire weekend felt effortless, special, and full of heart. Our guests noticed it too. The setting was breathtaking, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond at every step. Because of them, we were able to be fully present and soak in every moment.

We are so deeply grateful for the way the team made our wedding weekend the best we’ve ever had. It’s a time we will cherish forever, and Newagen Seaside Inn will always hold a special place in our hearts for helping create those memories.

It's honestly hard to put into words how perfect the experience was getting married at Newagen Seaside Inn! The team was so open to our ideas and committed to making our wedding weekend what we envisioned. And THEY DELIVERED. The whole weekend was executed flawlessly and we didn't want for, or stress about, anything the entire time we were there. The venue is pure magic and we left there feeling so much love. We got married at Newagen Seaside Inn in June 2025 and it was hands down the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. My husband and I were guests at a wedding at Newagen in 2021 and we knew immediately it was somewhere special. When it came time for us to choose our own wedding venue, everything kept coming back to how amazing Newagen was and we knew there was no where else for us to tie the knot. Location and Venue (which cannot be beat!) aside, what makes Newagen a true hidden gem is the people. Maura, Tiffany, Abby, and every member of the Newagen Staff handled our wedding with an unmatched level of professionalism but more importantly made us feel like part of the family. Our wedding weekend went off without a hitch, and even due to last minute changes with weather which can be stressful and upsetting for some, the Newagen team made us feel reassured and confident in the right moments. Our weekend was perfect, from the famous Lobster Bake rehearsal dinner on Friday, through the ceremony and reception in their beautiful ballroom and then onto the after party space on Saturday, and when it came time for check out Sunday, our guests and families had nothing but great things to say about the property, party, and people. Newagen is truly a special place and we cannot recommend them to anyone enough who wants a full service wedding weekend set on some of the most beautiful coast that Maine has to offer. We cannot wait to continue celebrating for years to come up at the Newagen Seaside Inn.

Newagen has a charm they write books about. The island and landscape is a special place. The magic is in the air from start to finish. Most importantly the staff have pride, professionalism and charisma in everything they do. We were treated like kings and queens our entire wedding weekend. If Newagen is available for your weekend, do not hesitate. We could not have scripted a better weekend if we tried to. It is a one of a kind place with a one of a kind staff. Abby, Maura, and Tiffany are the dream team. The rest of the staff is on it all weekend. The rehearsal dinner lobster bake is over the top. The grounds for a ceremony cocktail hour and reception are 5 stars. Their team and coordination made our weekend so easy. We danced, we laughed, we drank and ate like a happy couple should all weekend. You cannot get this anywhere else. Thank you so much to the whole Newagen team. We recently celebrated our wedding at the Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport, ME, just a stone's throw from the charming Boothbay Harbor, and it was nothing short of magical. Our August 2024 wedding far exceeded everything we had hoped for, thanks to the stunning location and exceptional service at Newagen.

The Newagen Seaside Inn offers breathtaking views of the Maine coastline, providing a picturesque backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The serene ocean vistas and lush gardens created a romantic and intimate atmosphere that our guests are still raving about. The natural beauty of the venue meant we needed minimal decorations, allowing the scenery to speak for itself.

From the moment we booked the venue, the staff at Newagen Seaside Inn went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Maura and Tiffany were attentive, organized, and incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step of the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the staff executed everything flawlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day.

Our guests loved staying at the inn, which offered charming and comfortable accommodations. The rooms were well-appointed, and the ocean views from the balconies were a delightful bonus. Having our family and friends stay on-site made the weekend feel like a mini-vacation for everyone. We are still hearing from friends and family that they want to go back and stay for another weekend!

The food was exceptional, with a menu that highlighted fresh, local ingredients. Guests loved the salad and second course dish before the main entree as a special touch. Our guests were particularly impressed with the seafood options at cocktail hour and the lobster bake, which were a true taste of Maine. The steak was probably one of the best I've ever had (and that is saying a lot because wedding food isn't something that is typically raved about!) The dining staff was professional and attentive, ensuring that every guest was well taken care of. Guests were very impressed by the servers plating everyone at each table at the same time. Newagen really thinks of the smallest details to make such an impressionable impact for their guests.

Our wedding at the Newagen Seaside Inn was everything we dreamed it would be. All of the staff at the inn including Maura, Tiffany, Abby, Linda and all of the bartenders made us feel so welcome and truly like family. The combination of stunning scenery and comfortable accommodations made it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. We recently got married at the Newagen Seaside Inn, and we can only express great things. Every detail was perfect. The grounds/inn were beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were beyond attentive and kind, and the vibe was laid back but elegant. Every guest came up to us remarking at how perfect the weekend was (the Pine Room is such a big hit), and many remarked at how the Newagen is a hidden gem they had never heard of. Maura, Tiffany, and Abby were amazing points of contact throughout the entire process and made the entire wedding planning process as smooth as possible. Growing up in Maine, I always dreamed of getting married on the Maine Coast and Newagen allowed for that dream to come true. We will certainly be back for our anniversaries. It truly was the perfect weekend at Newagen.

I cannot say enough about this incredible venue. From the beautiful property, to the attentive and friendly staff, Newagen made our entire wedding weekend smooth and seamless. Newagen offers all the charm of a small quaint Maine Inn with the delivery and professionalism of a large well run venue. Maura was amazing and responsive with the booking of the venue and sales process. She was so responsive in answering all my questions and helping us navigate putting the weekend structure together. The reins were smoothly handed over to Tiffany as the weekend got closer and she ensured everything ran smoothly through the weekend. We held a lobster bake Friday evening, ceremony and reception Saturday and a farewell breakfast Sunday morning. Every single aspect was flawless. Tiffany and her team kept things running on time, making sure everything I brought (decorations and the like) was put out so that my husband and I could just spend time with friends and family. It felt that every time I had a concern or a question, I could ask Tiffany and she'd have already thought of it/handled it. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing the staff was. From the front desk staff, managers, coordinators to the waiters, everyone made us and our guests feel at home, taken care of and special. My husband and I will definitely be returning to celebrate anniversaries and will recommend this venue to anyone. The property has so much to offer guests (pool, pickle ball, sunset path) and is not far from the cute downtown harbor and local sites like the coastal Maine botanical gardens. The chef was fantastic and the food was delicious. Highly recommend going to their pub for a bite if you are in the area and are considering this venue.

The whole Newagan team is spectacular and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding weekend, from the team, to the venue, to the food and drinks. We will forever be grateful to Newagen for such a fantastic weekend.

There simply are no words to express our experience in planning, preparing and experiencing the incredible wedding weekend celebration for our daughter, Sally Jarmusz, to LtJG Austin Ford. Newagen Seaside Inn not only made the process completely stress free, they succeeded in delivering the most magical wedding we could have ever hoped for our daughter and son-in-law. The planning process with Maura Nicholson was thoughtful, responsive, informative, and helpful. The Planning Pod made capturing all the itinerary, meal selections, RSVPs, and details very easy. Invoices were handled so well. We were able to extend our stay through a four night holiday weekend making travel much easier for our family and friends in a beautiful vacation destination. Being a local midCoast Maine resident of Georgetown, it brought so much joy to see our community shine. It brought to life our memories of our daughter's work on the Eastwind, boating, our All Saints parish, and our guests delighted in this. The transition from planning to execution under the expert guidance of Maura and then Tiffany Randle, we felt well cared for as parents & wedding couple. The vision that Sally & Austin prepared for was fully on view throughout the wedding weekend. Newagen Seaside Inn provided the perfect backdrop. To say quintessential Maine feels cliche because it is so much more. It is Abbie and the front desk crew providing truly warm greetings and assistance throughout the weekend, and Tian and the bar crew expertly offering refreshments and connection to the guests. We had up to 160 guests attending events all weekend. The quality and speed of service kept refreshments in moderation and all enjoying every moment. It was incredible to watch the orchestration. Every transition, meal, and offering was timely and smooth. The staff made it look effortless even though it was clear so much work and preparation went into every event. From the Welcome Parties, to the Lobster Bake, S'mores and bonfires to the exquisite reception, the crew was warm, kind, helpful and offered the very best in hospitality and quality of service. Each event was a delight. From the moment we arrived on Thursday, it just rolled without a single worry. Every time I needed any assistance or had a quick question, Abbie and Tiffany were there with the expert answer & anticipating every need. The lobster bake rehearsal dinner served 113, and it was absolutely delicious. So loved by all. The Cape Harbor Room reception & cocktail hour at the gazebo were fantastic. The food, refreshments and service were exquisite. My personal favorite course with the scallop second course. I have never had a better scallop in all my life! Perfection! The pub menu, Summer Picnic & breakfasts were incredible. So yummy & delightful. The extended times for guests to arrive & eat made it so easy to visit with everyone and feel like we got to connect with and enjoy each person that attended. The Pine Room, lodgings, grounds, dock, pool, and gathering areas were perfect. We felt like we were in our own home away from home celebrating with family. The shuttle & golf cart made the days especially stress free for driving the wedding party to Boothbay, cottage drop offs after the reception, and guests that needed support around the property. The sunsets over Georgetown from Rachel Carson's special rocks brought an incredible feeling to every evening. If we could do it all over again, we would!

We left our wedding weekend overwhelmed with emotion, all of them centered around the gratitude we had for hosting our wedding weekend at Newagen. When we picked Newagen on the rainy and cold November day with everything boarded up for the winter, we had no idea it would become a place that would be filled with all our friends, family, and wonderful staff who made us feel like we were hosting an event at our homes. What I loved most about you all is that you never made us feel like this was just another wedding at Newagen. I felt so special and heard throughout the whole process, and was so amazed how thoughtful you both were. You guys thought of everything, anticipated things we didn't even know we needed.

Our family hasn't stopped commenting on the staff; how seamless, attentive, kind, and personable they all were throughout the weekend. It's a place I want to work!

We are so thankful for our wedding weekend at Newagen, and it will forever be a place that was the time we were able to throw the party of our lives with our friends and family, and meet and work with a group of people who allowed us to do all of that, plus so much more.

Newagen was the perfect fit for us, as we knew we wanted to get married in a place that reminded me of home (I grew up in midcoast Maine), but had the ability to host all our family and friends. You and your guests are the only ones on site when you book a wedding weekend there, which turned out to be even more important as we postponed our original plans due to the pandemic and finally had our celebration this summer. I will say that booking all the rooms can be a challenge financially for some guests, and logistically for us as the couple, but it all turned out to be worth it.

We were able to host an outdoor welcome BBQ and have our ceremony by the water exactly as I had dreamed. All catering is on site which takes some of the stress out of needing additional vendors - and the food was delicious! Our reception under the tent was fantastic and the staff - Maura, Sandy, and Abby and the rest of the team made us all feel so welcome and taken care of during the weekend. Newagen is truly a stunning location, and we were able to be in the moment with our family and friends exactly as we had dreamed!

I can’t believe I haven’t posted my review! It’s been over a year since our wedding weekend in June, but our friends and family still talk about how much fun they had. Though I am biased, I have been told by many that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to and I would have to agree! After our first meeting with Cheri, I knew that Newagen was THE place, and that was even on a cloudy day in October. She welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to envision our special day at Newagen. I primarily worked with Sandy Timberlake who was a joy to work with. She helped us through the process and making deadlines. From the laid back classic perfectly executed lobster bake by the ocean, with the giant chess game and fire pit, to the outside cocktail hour and wedding reception inside. The old school bowling and billiard room was the perfect post wedding party with snacks. Everything was executed perfectly. We ended with brunch the following morning. Also, the inn was newly renovated and all the cottages were fresh and inviting! I have the fondest memories and Newagen and the staff! Cheri and Sandy were amazing and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding weekend at this gorgeous Maine Inn.

Newagen gave us our dream wedding. Newagen had been very special to us before we shared our special day there, but after spending our wedding weekend there with all of our closest friends and family, the inn and all of the staff truly hold a very special place in our heart’s. The feel of the inn is simply spectacular. As the bride, I never once felt stressed once I stepped on the property. It’s actually impossible NOT to relax there. The staff are all extremely helpful, approachable, and ensured that every single person had the best time imaginable. Sandy worked so hard execute everything as smoothly as possible. She was a joy to work with every step of the way. Corinne, Abby, Debbie, Tian, Ricardo, Noelle, Tiffany, and Janele -(just to make a few!) made us and our guests feel like VIPs and by the end of our weekend the staff were like a part of our family. Another shoutout certainly goes to the cleaning staff and the landscaper, Doug who work so hard to keep the inn looking absolutely gorgeous inside and out! And of course, the FOOD was spectacular and we heard feedback that from many many guests. Nathaniel is truly a professional and a master at his craft. We can’t wait to return for many years to come. Thank you to everyone at Newagen for an OUT OF THIS WORLD wedding that completely exceeded all of our expectations.

Such an amazing weekend!!! One of the most important things my husband and I were looking at when choosing a venue was a place where our family and friends could make our own for the weekend and we absolutely got that at Newagen!! Between the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding itself we truly felt like we made the property our own and got lots of meaningful time with everyone. The scenery speaks for itself, the food at the Inn was great, but what really made the weekend perfect was the outstanding service at Newagen. Sandy Timberlake the wedding coordinator was always responsive to my constant emailing prior to the wedding and went above and beyond to take care of all of the set up for the weekend to ensure everything ran smoothly so I (and my sister and mother) could enjoy themselves. Abby the general manager is also wonderfully kind and even swooped in to pick up guests when our planned transportation had some hiccups. The bartenders, servers, and other staff were also so thoughtful and kind and did everything they could to make guests really feel at home! Only thing I wish is that we could do it all over again!!!

The ten at the Newagen Seaside Inn made us feel like family! Our wedding day was perfect, everything down to the last detail!! Our friends and family could not have had a better time!!

Newagen Seaside Inn was the perfect place for our wedding. I can't say enough about our coordinator Maddie, the rest of the staff, the location, the food, and the accommodations. All of our guests (especially the ones who had never been to Maine) absolutely loved the location and had a wonderful time. We originally were going to have our reception inside but our guest count was a bit higher than planned so we switched to a tented wedding and the Inn was very accommodating. They reserve the entire weekend for your wedding only and it is so special to have your closest friends and family staying at the inn all together (we just wish we could have fit everyone there)! Everyone had a great time at the lobster bake the night before, a blast at the wedding, and so much fun in the Pine Room (an onsite after party location which was a huge hit - candle-pin bowling, bar, bar food, etc). I highly recommend this place and we cannot wait to come back for an anniversary!

There are simply not enough good things to say about the Newagen Seaside Inn and we are beyond happy that we chose them as our wedding venue! There is something really special about being able to have all of your loved ones stay on site and to have every wedding-related event on one property. It doesn’t just make things easy and functional, it’s ridiculously fun too! As a guest, every person you run into that weekend is there for the same wedding you are, which creates a really exciting atmosphere. And as a bride or groom, it is awesome to not have to worry about how to get people from one place to the next and to know that the Newagen has a ton of fun things to do so you don’t need to be concerned about providing entertainment pre-wedding. There is the Pine Room, which has candlepin bowling, shuffleboard, pool, ping pong and more (this was a big hit with our guests not just during the after party but also throughout the weekend) and then there is a giant chess board, bicycles, corn hole, beautiful scenery to explore and of course, a bar!! And I should mention that the bar/pub serves AMAZING food. Besides being a prime location for both a party crowd and those who might be more into relaxing, the Newagen also has the most friendly, accommodating and genuinely fun staff I’ve ever encountered. They even danced with my Grandma during the reception and she can’t stop talking about what a great time she had with all of the folks who work there :). And then there is Maddie Rideout, Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire! I had the best experience working with Maddie from start to finish. I never waited more than a couple of hours for a response to a question and felt that she was totally engaged in our wedding and committed to helping me bring our vision to life. By the time our wedding weekend rolled around, Maddie felt more like a friend than anything else. In short, we had the wedding weekend of our dreams and our guests are still telling us how much fun they had!

We had such an amazing wedding weekend! It is so wonderful to have the entire property to yourselves-- and the food, beautiful ambiance and ocean backdrop, and special features (such as the Pine Room) provide such special and unique elements. Yet, working with our Event Coordinator, Amanda Richards, was the highlight. Amanda is organized, responsive, caring, and dedicated to her work. I felt totally at ease with her running the show! I highly recommend Newagen Seaside Inn.

Our wedding at Newagen was the best day of our life. I had no worries while getting ready because I knew our event coordinator Maddie Rideout had our best interest at heart while she was setting up our space. We had both our ceremony (outside by the water) at Newagen and our reception (inside) at Newagen. The space was perfect for toasting, and eating, and dancing. Most of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. (Our lobster bake on the lawn with an open mic toasting opportunity also worked wonderfully and I was in tears with happiness most of the time!)

We toured Newagen in March when it was 1) under construction, 2) snowy, 3) muddy, 4) cold...AND WE FELL IN LOVE. When we returned again in May, we could not imagine how we would feel seeing the property looking sunny, green and all updated. Well it was more beautiful than we would have ever expected, and our 30 guests understood why we made them drive/fly 6+ hours to Newagen when they arrived for our August wedding. The beautiful property was one thing, but the customer service sealed the deal. Everywhere we went, someone was offering assistance (yet they were never around TOO much) and all were so accommodating to our guests. Carrie and Amanda did a great job helping plan and seeing that all went smoothly the day of. Couldn't have asked for a better spot.

We cannot say enough good things about Jeremy, Jason, Chelsea and all of the Newagen staff. From the moment we toured the inn grounds to when we said goodbye the day after our wedding there, the entire staff was nothing but welcoming, accommodating, and a true pleasure to work with. Our guests raved about the location, staff and food and told us between the inn, staff and ourselves, we set a new standard for weddings. As a bride planning from long distance, I didn't have to worry about a thing. The smallest details were taken care of, and always with professionalism and genuine kindness. We wish we could get married there again, but will definitely be back to visit!

Our wedding at Newagen exceeding all expectations- it was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better staff or setting. Newagen Seaside Inn is worth MORE than every penny you spend. so many things to rave about where do I begin....
It is truly a magical place, every wedding guest raved about it and want to come back again! This place makes you fall in love with Maine and the sea.
I booked Newagen for my wedding before I was even able to visit in person but we had no regrets!
The Inn is very secluded which adds to its beauty and charm. For your wedding weekend you get the whole property for your wedding guests and family, which feels so intimate and is just a ton of fun. I would highly recommend the new honeymoon suite, the Seahorse Cottage. It is beautiful with privacy and incredible view of the water, with porches. AND when you book the seahorse cottage you get the use of a golf cart to drive around the property, it came in handy to transport bridesmaids!
My coordinator Jessica was THE BEST, incredibly organized and will help you with any planning you need. She was always great with communication and made sure every detail was taken care of. All of the staff at Newagen is great to work with as well.
The food was very tasty, did not taste like bland wedding food at all. The blueberry sangria is super delicious!
I had my wedding at the end of September (beautiful weather) and the ceremony was held on the lower lawn near the water (views were breathtaking with all the boats). The reception was in a tent (beautiful sail cloth tent!) on the same lower lawn. Between the rowboats, lawn for games, and Pine Room (game room) there was so much for guests to do during cocktail hour before dinner (and while wedding party was taking photos).
Newagen knows how to do weddings, they think of everything and its an incredibly magical experience. The grounds are beautiful for wedding photos, we also did portraits at the All Saints by the Sea church that is just down the road from Newagen on Southport Island (the little church is right on the water and has an awesome dock for photos).

As a wedding planner myself I searched far and wide looking for the perfect wedding location, dragging my fiancé to over 30 venues from the coast to the lakes region to the summit peaks... The Newagen Seaside Inn felt like the perfect fit as soon as we drive over the gorgeous swing bridges and tree lined driveway.

Our wedding was spectacular, being in the business we had very high expectations and the Newagen and their very friendly staff did a wonderful job executing our wedding. Please know no wedding is perfect, and hickups do come up along the way which leads to a great story down the road but the Newagen was very professional with handling each situation.

The biggest compliment is when your guests are atill talking about your wedding almost a year later! The food was fabulous, farm to table, fresh and the presentation was outstanding! Jessica and Jeremy were very responsive on the day of and handled my very demanding family with ease. We are looking forward to going back to the Newagen for our anniversary years to come!

PERFECT. there really isn't much more to say. the food, the venue, the staff, the attention to detail - PERFECT. You can't ask for a more perfect setting or a more accommodating group of people with whom to work. Look at the Newagen. We did and that was that. It is gorgeous and PERFECT in every way!

Newagen exceeded all of our expectations. The scenery, staff, and accommodations were all fantastic—especially Jessica. We live in Missouri and had to book the entire event sight unseen. That sounds daunting, yet Jessica was there for us every step of the way. During the seven months leading up to the wedding she did an exceptional job communicating, organizing, and facilitating everything for our wedding weekend. Our guests were just as blown away as we were.

And the food!—Chef Fiona did a remarkable job on everything from the
complimentary breakfast buffet each morning, to the hors d'oeuvres at our cocktail hour, and especially the reception dinner. And the late-night taco bar after the reception was a crowd favorite. People are still talking about our food four months later (in a good wayJ).

We highly recommend Newagen. It’s been four months, and we still can’t think of one thing either of us would change about our wedding weekend. Starting with the s’mores and bonfire Friday night all the way through the Monday departure and everything in between, it was perfect.

The staff at Newagen was wonderful to work with, particularly Jessica and Jason. Very flexible, easy to interact with, and professional. For those of us that don't live locally, they gave fabulous advice on local vendors and services. lnd the location is beautiful! I can't imagine a better place to have a wedding.

Wonderful! It's a beautiful spot with delicious food. And we couldn't have been happier with Jessica and the whole staff at Newagen. They were fantastically helpful and responsive throughout all the preparations for our wedding. On the big day, we felt incredibly comfortable leaving all the details in Jessica's hands and were really able to relax and enjoy every minute of our wedding!

Jessica and the entire staff at the Newagen Inn were quick to respond to all of our requests and made our weekend-long wedding absolutely wonderful. From the lobster bake, bonfire and S'mores for the rehearsal dinner right until the Sunday Morning breakfast the staff were extremely accommodating. The facility's location and grounds are beautiful with plenty to do including tennis, lounging poolside, bowling and bike riding. The Inn itself is a very old building that is maintained well but do expect a bit of charm.

There was a bit of confusion at times between staff members at the Inn, which is not huge but when you are trying to get your guests to books rooms and they are told different things as far as availability it can get a bit frustrating. However the staff was very accommodating to our guests and to the wedding party which was so great. Jessica was our wedding planner/coordinator and was such a pleasure to work with. She was very flexible and really executed every little detail I had pictured in my head. I loved how it was just our guests at the Inn and there were no other weddings that weekend. The little Inn was such an amazing little treat for me and my bridesmaids to get dressed and ready in! I stayed there the night before the wedding and it was just perfect. My now Husband stayed in the main Inn and the only down side to the building being so old he said is that you can hear a lot through the walls! He was right above the bar and could hear the Celtics playing on the TV downstairs. Definitely not the Inn's fault but just something you do not think about until people mention it afterwards. All in all we absolutely loved our wedding weekend at Newagen and wish we could get married all over again to get the chance to be with the people we love in a place we love!

This is what I have to say about the Newagen - we fell in love with it as the absolute most beautiful, fitting and PERFECT place to have our wedding - the food was INCREDIBLE, the scenery stunning, I got to have s'mores which was a dream, they let us plant a tree on their property during our ceremony!!!!!!!, they let us fly our own flag - they handled ever little detail I forgot about - but I want to add this: If I know what I know now, and someone told me I couldnt have the inn manager, Jason, as my point person for the wedding - I would have followed him anywhere he was. Jason and his staff at the Newagen are, without a doubt, the BEST at what they do and I never had a moment of worry - he handled everything with calm and reassurance and there were so many things I never had to think twice about which made my wedding day the most enjoyable it could possibly be. He is a gift as is the Newagen in general and we can't wait to visit on various anniversary dates - my deepest thanks to Jason and his team at the perfect little Inn on the whole east coast ;) Love to you all for making our day the better than we ever dreamed :)

We had a wonderful experience at the Newagen. It's unique setting truly makes it special, and the ability to rent out the entire Inn and have all your friends and family around for the entire weekend really sets it apart from other waterfront venues on the coast of Maine. Unlike some venues where policies are inflexible, Jason was incredibly helpful, especially when it came to wedding weekend and he and the staff were always around to help out, answer questions, and make things happen. All the final details we were worried about became non-factors once Jason took control of them. A beautiful place, a great staff, awesome food, and facilities that are just perfect for a Maine wedding (bonfire, lawn for a tent, classic bowling alley / game room, cozy rooms) make the Newagen a place we couldn't recommend more!

I do not even know where to begin in describing how great the Newagen is. Jason and his staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. If there was a last minute change it was not a big deal, if you needed help with transportation, directions, or anything at all they did it. Here is a little anecdote of one thing we dealt with. So the morning of our wedding it looked like rain. We had planned on taking a boat from the church to the Newagen. I woke up and started talking to Jason that morning, within minutes of me saying we may need to figure out other transportation Jason had already contacted local providers and was able to give me a list of other options and times we needed to let the vendors know by. I did not ask him to do this just mentioned we may need to figure something else out and he was on it. This was one of many things he and his staff did to make us feel at home. We could write books about how great the Newagen, Jason, and all the staff were to us. We both love Jason, the Newagen, and all their staff and cannot wait to go back.

Jason was incredibly helpful and responsive. He helped me to coordinate vendors, and went over every detail with us to make sure our day was unique to us. We had an amazing time, and I wouldn't change a thing.

The professional, friendly and very service-oreinted staff at the Newagen went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect all weekend for our wedding. The food was fabulous, they were incredibly accomodating of last minute changes to manage changing weather conditions, and the space itself was beautiful! I would highly recommend this venue for both rehearsal and wedding functions.

We honestly can't say enough nice things about the Newagen Seaside Inn and Jason Schlosser! Our ceremony and reception were absolutely PERFECT and just the way we had always imagined!! Newagen is located on the most picturesque peninsula in Southport, ME providing you and your guests the most idyllic coastal Maine experience. The Inn itself is a beautiful and charming quintessential Maine inn. All of our guests absolutely loved staying there!! The food that was prepared for our cocktail hour and wedding reception was amazing. Not only did it taste delicious, but it was also presented beautifully!! One of our favorite things about the Newagen is how incredibly special they make you feel. We didn't have to worry about another wedding happening on the same day as ours, as the Newagen guarantees that your wedding is the only wedding that day! This is very unique, as some places can have up to three weddings the same day! Another one of our favorite aspects of the Newagen is Jason Schlosser. Jason is incredible and was so wonderful to work with. He goes above and beyond to make sure that your wedding day is exactly how you want it to be!! I am not sure how it is possible, but Jason makes your feel like you are the only bride and groom that he is working with! Planning a wedding with Jason was so much fun and I am so sad that it is over!!

The Newagen deserves more than 5 stars for our daughter's wedding experience. Jason was always willing to meet and talk with us and was super flexible to help us plan a wedding that matched the bride and groom's personalities. Our friends and family loved being able to stay at the inn and be surrounded by the beautiful Maine coast. Since many of our guests came from out of town, it was like a big family reunion and a mini-vacation. The staff were very professional and helpful. Many of our friends raved that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to (including their own!). The Newagen is now near and dear to our family and we treasure the special memories we made there.

Newagen is an absolutely stunning venue offering both indoor and outdoor reception sites with beautiful views of the ocean.

Everyone went above and beyond out of their way to make our wedding everything we had hoped and more. I could not have asked for better people to work with.

The Inn is beautiful both Jessica and Jason were GREAT to deal with. Can't wait to go back for our anniversary and hopefully get the same room!!! I personally wish I would have done more flowers outside, but that was completley my fault. The room they had for our reception was perfect for the size reception we had and everyone was very accomodating with the room. It was just was I had hoped for. Only had one mishap and that was with storing the flowers and the cake and the reason for that was there was another wedding the day before so there was some confusion, but we got it straightened out. We loved coastal Maine and knew that was where we wanted to get married and when we found Newagen on a rainy, overcast day, we fell in love immediately. It was quaint, breath-taking, and spacious. We booked very early and for over two years, Maura, was always very quick and kind to respond my never-ending questions. Once the wedding weekend arrived, we were even more blown away. The entire staff was so friendly that guests commented on how amazing they all were. Tiffany executed the day like clock-work and the staff worked so well with all of our vendors. The food was delicious, the grounds were stunning (even on a foggy day), and things ran so smoothly. We can not wait to go back to Newagen to visit and re-live our magical wedding day. Our wedding at Newagen Seaside Inn was everything we'd hoped it would be! We knew we wanted a destination style event on the coast of Maine. We looked at a number of venues, but Newagen was the only place that had everything we wanted right on-site - a beautiful space for an outdoor ceremony, a cute and comfortable inn where our families and wedding party could stay on-site, lawn games during cocktail hour, a simple but beautiful reception space, a unique spot for an after party complete with candle pin bowling and bar games, and excellent food. It was an amazing experience to have such a beautiful spot to ourselves for the entire weekend so that we could spend quality time with our family and friends. We also loved the option for a rehearsal lobster bake and s'mores to help kick-off the weekend with a real Maine experience for our out of town guests.

We also can't say enough good things about our wedding coordinator, Maddie. She was professional, organized, and made the wedding planning process so easy. As a busy couple who wanted a destination wedding to keep things simple, she was great about making suggestions and recommending vendors who knew the inn well. She made sure everything went off without a hitch during the entire weekend - even comforting our upset ring bearer moments before his turn to walk down the aisle!

The entire staff at Newagen was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Our friends and family all commented on how it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended, and my husband and I cannot wait to return for our anniversary. :)

I can't say enough about the Newagen Seaside Inn. This is quintessential Maine at it's very best. We had our wedding here a few weeks ago and we haven't been able to stop talking about each and every detail. From the minute we arrived, we felt like we were in our own world. To have the inn to yourselves is an incredible treat and facilitates actually getting to spend time with your family & friends at various different points throughout the weekend whether it be at breakfast, around the bonfire, playing on the grounds, in the pine room or on the dance floor. We had one quick meeting with Jessica at the beginning to talk over each detail, and then never had to think about any bit of it again. And all went perfectly. Newagen has a unique and rustic charm in and of itself, but Jessica really accommodates any details you'd like to include to make that weekend your own. Also, if you're worried about the weather, I have to say that this is one of those places in Maine that is almost more magical when the fog rolls in.

Jessica and everyone at the Newagen Inn took incredibly good care of us. Jessica was always immediately responsive and supportive to each and every question and need during the planning. The Inn has a list of preferred vendors that made the search for vendors stress and worry free. By the time the weekend of our wedding arrived, we didn't have to lift a finger or worry about a single detail the entire weekend. Our friends and family couldn't believe how present and relaxed we were able to be all weekend while the wedding and weekend events just magically unfolded. The setting is beautiful and we had perfect, sunny, 80 degree weather the entire weekend.

Jason and the entire team at Newagen made us feel tremendously special and unique leading up to and for the wedding, while utilizing their tremendous experience and professionalism to make everything run terrifically smoothly. It was a perfect balance! We wish we could get married there every summer!

Our wedding at Newagen was perfect! The staff there were incredible and did everything that was needed to make the night run smoothly. They went above and beyond with set up, help with decision making, and execution of both the ceremony and reception. The scenery at Newagen was beautiful, even on a foggy Maine day, and the food was delicious. It is definitely an expensive location, but in our opinion, it was worth the money. It was so nice to have all of our wedding events (rehearsal dinner, wedding prep, ceremony, reception, after party) in one location, and to have all of our guests staying at the Inn. We highly recommend Newagen as a wedding venue!

Where to even begin with Newagen Seaside Inn. I think the best way to describe it is with a quote from a close friend - when he arrived for our wedding, his words were: "It feels like I'm in Narnia". And y'know what, that's pretty appropriate. Because Newagen is a magical. The scenery, regardless of the weather, is breathtaking. Quintessential Maine, with an extra "je ne sais quois" that just make everyone go "Wow".

That's just for starters.

In addition to getting married at Newagen this past June 25th, I also happen to work as a drummer in an extremely busy and well traveled wedding band. We've been all over New England and the Tri-State area, and I've seen every type of wedding venue imaginable. When my group performed at Newagen in 2014, I knew this was the place for my then girlfriend and I. I immediately made plans to propose, and then book Newagen. THAT'S a kickass venue, that can make a future groom (who was dragging his feet in the whole proposal department) get his act together to pop the question, and then immediately circle back to book a wedding there. In all seriousness. This is the most beautiful spot I have come across in 5+ years of wedding performances, around the entire region.

But there's even more to it than my own opinions. Newagen's ace in the hole is their incredible team of dedicated staff. Your venue is the hub of all wedding planning. All guests, vendors, and activities are routed in and around your venue's catering and accommodation staff. It's a massive amount of detail to take in to account. And Newagen's team are a group of people that you can put your faith in. They truly care about making sure you have an wonderful event, and they will bend over backwards to ensure it happens. Beyond that, the food, accommodations, collections of activities, and just overall vibe of the place are just unmatched in the Maine/New England area.
So if you are debating between a handful of places, put your faith in Newagen.

Our wedding weekend at Newagen was an amazing, magical experience.

Positives:
-the location is absolutely beautiful, quintessential Maine along the water
-the grounds were very well maintained and offered many areas for children to play
-the staff was very attentive over the weekend and flexible with our requests
-the food (including the meals in the pub, lobster bake rehearsal dinner, and wedding cocktail hour/reception food) was phenomenal. We were nervous about the food and execution of the food going in, but Fiona and her team blew it out of the park. We upgraded the surf + turf to a filet mignon cut of meat - it was a big hit.
-the rooms in the little inn were newly renovated and very well decorated (with air conditioning...which was a huge plus when getting wedding-ready!)
-hotel management and staff did a decent job dealing with our festive/rowdy large group
- Jeremy (our coordinator) is an incredibly nice guy to work with
-We also hired Kate Martin from Beautiful Days for flowers, decor, and planning - she was absolutely incredible! I would highly recommend her and her team.

Areas for consideration:
-tent festivities must be shut down at 10PM
-transitioning to the Pine Room for the after-party wasn't as smooth as anticipated and by the time we set up food and drinks there, it was time almost shut down (12AM)
-pre-wedding planning responsiveness was spotty at times
-final invoice based on head count wasn't issued until 2 days prior to the wedding; the venue then increased the cost/pp for the food the day after the wedding upon check-out. This was quite a surprise, but what are you going to do?

At the end of the day, our incredible wedding washed away any concerns we had. We appreciate Newagen and staff for making our wedding one to remember and cherish forever.

The Inn Keeper & staff at the Newagen Seaside Inn were a huge part of our day, especially since a tropical storm hit Maine the weekend of our wedding! They were beyond accommodating, said & did all the right things to keep my mind at ease that the day would be perfect, regardless of the rain, and were beyond flexible when we had to move the entire event indoors a day before the wedding. They were wonderful hosts, we had the entire Inn for the weekend for our many out-of-town guests, and they made us feel at home from the time we set foot on the grounds until we left a married couple! We couldn't have asked for a better, more memorable weekend and have already been invited back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It was a beautiful location, Inn and wedding and the Newagen Inn was the perfect place for our celebration!

The Newagen is a truly lovely location for a wedding. The inn and grounds are breathtaking; the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating; and the surrounding town is full of beauty, adventure, and friendly neighbors. We felt at home there instantly. In fact, the Newagen staff made us feel like we were the only guests there, despite having rented out every room. The wedding itself took place on the lawn overlooking the ocean, the reception took place outside in the gazebo, and the dinner was held in one of their beautiful dining rooms. Don't let me forget the amazing bonfire on the lawn - complete with s'mores! Some of our decisions were not made until the day before the wedding and the staff was flexible and happy to accommodate us. The food at the Newagen is delicious! Chef Fiona prepared our rehearsal dinner (a lobster bake) and our wedding dinner and our guests were beyond satisfied. My husband said the hamburger in the pub was the best he's had. Furthermore, the breakfast (which is included) was phenomenal and freshly prepared each morning! The walking trails and bicycles were easily accessible, the pool was well-cared for, and the pine room was something special. We could have easily spent more than a week there and never ran out of things to do.The island gives you a feeling of isolation and yet Booth Bay Harbor is only 15 minutes away (though, you hardly have to leave the inn).It is such a wonderful place for families of all ages. Our wedding and our stay at the Newagen Seaside Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I are already planning a return trip and can't wait to visit over the years.

We originally wanted to get married at a summer camp and rent out the whole camp and have all of our guests stay there for the weekend, complete with games, sports, etc. We eventually realized that everyone would be more comfortable if they were not sleeping on bunk beds, so we went in search of a place where we could get the same feel of a summer camp and have most everyone stay right on the premises. Newagen provided just that plus the bonus of the cute town of Boothbay Harbor just 10 minutes away. We had a three-day long event (people arrived for lunch on Friday and stayed through brunch on Sunday) and N

I will say that Newagen is a very cute little quintessential Maine inn with lovely views, and having all of our friends and family staying at the inn made for a very fun weekend! Our wedding did turn out to be amazing, but Newagen is definitely overpriced for what it is, and they were extremely difficult to deal with in the planning process. If money is not an object and you are ok with just doing their standard wedding, then this is a great venue. We had wanted to do a few things that were not their "norm", and when we were trying to negotiate these items ran into a lot of push back. Maddie and Alyssa were very nice, but don't really have any authority in making decisions about things that are off-script. We ended up getting a passive aggressive email from the owner, Corrine, where she cc'ed my parents so that everyone would be on the "same page" about what was going on with our negotiations that they were unhappy about. It caused a lot of undue stress and tension that didn't need to occur, and we felt was very unprofessional on their part. My husband and I are in our 30s, highly educated, and both work in high powered, high stress professions, so to be treated like children in our wedding negotiations was extremely insulting. On the actual wedding weekend, the staff were great and the food was excellent (although we did go off menu for a lot of it), but the headache of dealing with Newagen leading up to the wedding was less than ideal

We LOVED the setting, but paid a pretty penny for it. Nothing was included with the $3,000 to have the event at the place. We had to pay for bar set-up, wait staff, use of game room, etc. NOTHING came with the place, the rooms were very expensive, and the end bill was about $15,000 more than we originally budgeted for when all was said and done. Again, the place was os unique and the wedding was unbelievable...we just were not aware of ALL the expenses when we decided to have our wedding there.
