I had a fantastic experience with Tannaz at Nazemi Bridal. From the very first meeting, I knew I was in good hands! She instantly made me feel at ease as I described the alterations I wanted for my dress. At first I thought I wanted a slit, hem, and bustle, but Tannaz recommended against the slit. I'm so glad she gave her expert opinion instead of trying to sell me more services! In the end, I went with getting the front of my dress hemmed (while preserving the train) and the back bustled. Since my dress was very form fitting, I didn't want the bustle tacked on the outside of the dress, so Tannaz suggested an alternative I hadn't seen before - bustling under the dress. The effect was super elegant and she took great care to make the bustling steps as simple as possible. I also had her steam my dress - and it was absolutely flawless. She truly took her time with explaining the alterations and thoroughly checked every seam at each of my fittings. I highly, highly recommend Tannaz at Nazemi Bridal. -

I brought my dress to Nazemi Bridal in May to be taken in, add on a bustle, and make the slit of the dress end lower down. She completed everything in one try and I had the dress ready a month later! Her studio is beautiful and adds to the experience of being a bride. Her services are worth every penny because after spending so much on my dress I wanted to know that it was in the best care! I also had to call again a month before my wedding as the clasp came off on the back. No fault to the seamstress but rather the dressmaker and she was able to take me the next day to fix it. I highly recommend using Nazemi Bridal! -

Tannaz and her team taught me all about bustles, and I am forever grateful. Additionally , the team added extra boning to ensure i was properly supported throughout the day. The team’s work was beautiful, they made me feel special during every appointment, the team discussed costs with me before beginning any work, and all the work was done on time. If you're a bride-to-be in the DC/MD/VA area, you really won't find a better bridal salon than Nazemi Bridal for all your alteration needs. Tannaz went above and beyond to make my wedding gown the perfect fit! I greatly appreciated that she took the time to listen to what I was looking for in terms of alterations during both my 1st AND 2nd fittings to make sure I had the dress of my dreams by the last fitting. I also loved having 1-on-1 personalized attention during each of my appointments, which is exactly what a bride-to-be needs during the wedding gown alteration process. I could instantly tell that Tannaz actually cared about her clients looking and feeling their best, whereas many other bridal salons will rush through fittings and not make any specific recommendations. For example, when Tannaz noticed that the sewn-in cups the designer of my gown used weren't the best quality compared to the gown itself, she offered to replace them so I would have more shape and support. A small detail like this (which I completely overlooked) made a huge difference in the way my dress looked on me. I am so thankful for her unparalleled attention to detail and impeccable service. When I picked up my gown during the week of my wedding, Tannaz had my gown fully steamed and carefully wrapped so it would be wrinkle-free and flawless on my wedding day. My wedding gown fit better than I ever could have imagined, and it's all thanks to Nazemi Bridal! I highly recommend for all your wedding alteration needs. -

I brought my wedding dress to Nazemi Bridal to have alterations done. They were so sweet and nice to meet with, had the alterations done in a very timely process, never tried to upsell me on additional things (in fact, I tried to buy additional accessories and she told me my dress was so beautiful and I didn't need it, but if I changed my mind, the accessory could be mailed). I would highly recommend! -

I highly recommend Nazemi Bridal for alterations. I brought my dress here because of all the 5-star reviews and I was not disappointed! I needed to make a lot of changes to my dress and Tannaz really worked with me to help transform my dress into exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. She is very professional and offered her expert opinion about how to best alter the dress. I also love the bustle she designed. I really felt like a bride on my wedding day, even though we ended up having a very small, low-key ceremony because of covid. I highly recommend her services! Quick turn-around too. -

I brought my wedding gown in to take off the train and the finished tailoring was done so carefully that you would never know the original dress had a train. I also brought in an A-line skirt I wanted to use as an overskirt for the dress, and they helped me by removing the bottom layers so that you could see the design of my dress through the skirt. They listened carefully to my thoughts on how I wanted the overskirt to work with the dress and really seemed to understand what I wanted. Also, the inside of the studio/salon is so clean and calm, it feels like a relief to come in for fittings when you're in the middle of wedding planning craziness! Highly recommend for any DC area brides. -

Incredible life saver!
At first, I had had an alteration appointment scheduled with a tailor closer to my place, but when my dress came in and it wouldnt button, I decided to go to Nazemi who is a wedding dress specialist. I was so nervous that she was going to look at me in the dress and tell me I had ordered the wrong size, but she didn't even blink and went about pinning the dress in a way that made it all come together in the back. In addition to shortening the waist, they also did the hem, the bustle, and the changed out the cups to match my skin and shape better. It was more than I initially budgeted for alterations, but I would pay it all over again because they literally performed a miracle with the dress and made me feel absolutely beautiful on our big day. Plus, their kindness and attention to their customers is unrivaled. So grateful for their help and expertise! -

Nazemi did the alterations on my wedding dress, and are probably the best seamstresses in town. They were recommended to by BHLDN and completed the alterations in a quick, timely fashion. They added a beautiful discrete bustle to a dress I didn't think I could bustle, hemmed my gown, and added rubber pads to my sleeved to stop the heavily beaded bodice from slipping. They were kind, reasonably priced, and made me feel beautiful! -

Amazing work!
I thankfully found Nazemi Bridal after a terrible experience at another tailor in Shaw. They were able to get me in for an early morning consult, and completely set my mind at ease that they could do all the work (and there was a lot!). The dress needed to be hemmed, taken in and taken up at the shoulders. The work they did was spectacular- the dress fit beautifully. The fittings were all wonderful experiences and the final product was amazing. You absolutely get an exceptional quality for the price. I highly recommend, you will be thrilled with how beautiful their work is and how you'll feel the day of your wedding! -

Though my shop where I purchased the dress offered alterations at a fairly reasonable, the contract they required you to enter into is quite restrictive (they will only schedule fittings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, only two fittings allowed, cannot gain or lose weight, etc.) All the restrictions made me nervous, so I decided to take my gown once it arrived to outside alterations. Nazemi is the highest rated bridal alternations shop in the DC on Yelp, and it is with good reason. The work is impeccable, and I got three fitting appointments. The French bustle she created was gorgeous! She was so nice and patient with the bridesmiads when teaching them how to bustle the dress. Her studio has a nice calming atmosphere as well. -

I used Nazemi to have my lace wedding dress altered. I had three fittings, all of which went exceedingly well. I could tell that the tailors at Nazemi were extremely knowledgeable and I felt comfortable trusting their judgment with my delicate lace dress. They were also very receptive to my concerns and were helpful in helping me figure out which undergarments would work best. They also were quite flexible with their appointment times so I never felt like my dress would not be done in time. Their pricing is not inexpensive, but it is definitely as example of getting what you pay for because my dress fit me like a glove. -

Nazemi Bridal put all my worries at ease and made me love my dress.
I knew as soon as I bought my dress online that it was the dress for me, and felt just as amazing in it when I tried it on in the store and bought it. However, I purchased a size too large, so when it arrived I was so worried that I had made the wrong choice and that I would look plain and wouldn't feel special in it on my wedding day. As soon as I walked into Nazemi Bridal, I felt calmer. The studio is beautiful, clean, and well lit, with spacious changing rooms and large mirrors. Tanaaz is bubbly, enthusiastic, and welcoming. I came for three fittings, and had a lot of work done on my dress - hemmed, taken up at the shoulders and in along the sides, cups put in, bustle added, a hook reinforcement for the back clasp, a few more tweaks here and there, and a fresh steam/press. I also had my matron of honor's dress hemmed here. Each visit when I tried on my dress, I fell more and more in love with it again. Tanaaz was careful with her changes, originally pinning some areas, but then deciding to wait until the second visit to see if a certain area needed to be taken in more or not. She pointed out certain tweaks that would help the dress fit so that it skimmed all my curves, and made additional adjustments after the second fitting. The work was beautiful, and my dress fit perfectly! Tanaaz also helped ensure that my undergarments ensured no funky lines or bunches showed through my form-hugging dress! The work was pricey, but having visited another tailor for my sister's wedding and considering the amount of work done on my dress, I felt it was very fair and worth every penny! -

Ashleigh Sent on 06/26/2018Don't go anywhere else for your high end bridal alterations. Tannaz altered my Monique Lhuillier platinum beaded gown expertly and it looked like it was made for me (I bought it two SIZES too big as a sample!!).
She did the most beautiful and meticulous alterations. She removed beaded straps, added cups and boning and created the most beautiful bustle that was more modern and less cumbersome for dancing and walking. Thank you SO much!! -

Lina Sent on 01/02/2018I purchased my wedding dress from a vendor in Georgetown and received a list of vendors that they recommended for alterations for my wedding dress. I called each of the vendors to get an estimate of what my dress alterations would cost, half of the vendors were unresponsive and the other half were unhelpful and even downright RUDE! Nazemi Bridal was the ONE vendor that actually took the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable to trust them with my wedding dress.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars because Tannaz and her staff were amazing, I would recommend Nazemi Bridal to all brides. The whole process was easy and all alterations were completed on time. I had several fittings, each went smoothly, and again, all of my questions were answered. On top of their amazing service, their pricing is fair and reasonable compared to what my friends in the area have paid for their bridal alterations.
I am lucky to have found Tannaz and her staff, they gave me peace of mind that my wedding dress would be perfect on my wedding day. If you are a bride, do yourself a favor and work with Nazemi Bridal :) -

I had my wedding dress altered at Nazemi Bridal and couldn't have had a better experience. Although parking in Georgetown isn't very easy, the shop itself is very serene and calming and the fittings always went smoothly. The work they do is incredible! I still can't believe how seamlessly they hemmed the very delicate scalloped lace at the bottom of my dress - they are absolute masters, which is worth the expense to get a perfect fit. My dress fit gorgeously on my wedding day. I wouldn't go anywhere else for dress alterations for big events. -

My wedding gown was extremely intricate and needed some pretty serious alterations with the top of the dress being about 3 sizes too big, among other issues. I had 3 fittings and on the last one I was able to take my dress home as it was perfectly fitted to me. I am beyond happy with how the dress turned out and I am so glad I trusted my dress to Nazemi Bridal. The only hesitation I would have in recommending Nazemi to a friend is the price. I expected the alterations to be pricey because what I needed was pretty complicated but when I was told the cost would be $950, after already being pinned up in the dress, I was pretty shocked. I know they did a lot of work so it was worth it but just be prepared to pay for what you get!
