Amazing experience!

Mrs. Pham is the best!!! She transformed my mothers 1992 wedding dress into a 21st century gown!! She is very professional, organized, friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Trust Mychelle!!

Mychelle is incredible! She is remarkably experienced, patient, and excellent at what she does. She shows you all of the options you have for wedding dresses alterations and does not rush you to make decisions, but helps you make them by giving detailed pros and cons. The quality of her work is unmatched, and my huge train lasted bustled all night. The dress itself was altered perfectly. She also did my tea ceremony dress and is very experienced with cheong sams. Prices are reasonable, and she even gave my friend and I a discount for getting our wedding dresses altered together. I trust her work and vision and highly recommend her!

Friendly, knowledgeable and high attention to detail!

My's was recommended to me by Ava Lauren where I purchased my dress and she is an amazing tailor who altered both my dress and my mother's dress. She was so caring and took the time to explain how each modification could change the dress (look and movement). Her and her husband were both a joy to work with. I highly recommend Mychelle's for alterations!

My is amazingly talented!

I cannot thank My enough for transforming my dress to be custom to me! She is very talented and professional and made me feel at ease with the whole wedding dress alterations process. Before My, I was nervous to have my dress altered but my dress was perfectly fine in her hands. It fit perfectly on the wedding day and I received so many compliments. I highly recommend My! Amazing!!!

Best alterations ever! I was short on time for my wedding and never once did I feel stressed! I needed only one appointment for my alterations and everything was perfect! They even packed my bag for travel since it was a destination wedding!

New storefront, new name, same amazing experience!

If you've heard good things about My's but can't seem to find her website or her store, it's now called Mychelle's! My is great. Her personality is kind and friendly, and her store has a beautiful atmosphere. She works quickly, flexibly, and deftly. A few simple, carefully placed alterations to my budget wedding dress made it look and fit so beautifully. I got so many compliments on my dress!

Quick service and fair price

I went here because Tang’s in Manassas seemed a little pretentious. It took me forever to get an appointment at Tang’s and their website indicated that I should be prepared to spend at least $200-300. I also didn’t like that they have a non-refundable fee for the quote alone. I was getting a very minor alteration to my wedding dress and that seemed overpriced. I was able to schedule a fitting appointment with My’s very quickly and the quote was much more reasonable. The work was done quickly and I was very happy with the result. I will continue to use My’s in the future.

My (from Mychelle's) is absolutely incredible. I had a very expensive wedding gown that was all lace, very complicated, and My was able to add sleeves to the dress, take it in where needed, and she was just absolute perfection. Miracle Worker on Short Timeline

I went to My after being referred from Ava Laurenne. She is a miracle worker. Due to living abroad, I had 2 weeks to have my dress fitted before my big day. My saw me for two fittings within 2 weeks and had my dress ready 2 full days before my wedding! She did the impossible on such a short timeline and her work is flawless. I couldn't be more happy with the results!

My is the best

My is AMAZING! At first my dress was a little too big so she took it in, added a bustle, and straightened the hem at the bottom. Then ten days before my wedding, we postponed our wedding due to COVID. When we finally were able to get married, I was so stressed because my dress was a little too small. But My got in me and fixed me dress. It fit perfect. My is extremely talented and detail orientated, not to mention incredibly sweet. I highly recommend My.

Fabulous Alterations

My performed fabulous work on my wedding dress to make it just right. I got my dress off the rack and it did not need much to it. My was able to shorten the straps, add a bustle, and add ribbing for support all at a reasonable price. She also created a custom made veil using lace off my mom's wedding dress that was just beautiful! Overall I was very pleased with her service.

Amazing craftmanship

My is an amazing seamstress. She was patient and thorough in explaining what options were for my dress. She was dedicated to making sure my dress fit properly and hugged me in all the right places. Small, Personal Studio with an EXPERT!

My is a true expert at wedding dress alterations! She gave me such a personal experience in her lovely studio, and solved all the problems to make my gown fit me! I am so happy with how she filled in the too-deep V-neck with flowers from the hem of the skirt - I was not sure how this would work but she pinned up a potential solution while I was right there so I could give input on it, and it looks seamless! My's is the best!!

I had a great experience with My's Bridalterations! My dress came in just 2 months before my wedding, so I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to get it altered in time. I did research on what my options were in the area prior to choosing My's because I wanted good quality work at a reasonable price . Communication with My was so easy and she was always very responsive. She has time slots that can fit any schedule (like that of a teacher working during a global pandemic) and she's very flexible if you need to change anything. I felt very comfortable telling My exactly what I wanted and she was honest in what she thought was best. She had my alterations done in a month and at a price that is very reasonable as far as wedding alterations go. I would absolutely recommend My to other brides and I will be visiting her for any other alterations that I need in the future!

Working with My was truly a pleasure! If you're looking for someone to make alterations to your wedding dress, stop reading reviews and book My because you have found your tailor. I chose to drive 45+ each way from my home to have My tailor my dress based on all the reviews I had read on her. My was super responsive when I reached out for availability and was flexible when I had to change around my appointment time. Her shop is very clean and I feel she took all the necessary measures during COVID to ensure the safety of her customers and her employees. I felt appointments were spaced out enough where I was the only person in the shop. When it came to trying on my dress after alterations, she was committed to making it fit right and look beautiful on me. She even had to make some last minute alterations, which didn't mind at all. Thank you, My, for altering my wedding gown. Due to the dress I chose with a lot of beading the cost was a bit more than anticipated, but well worth it. My altered this dress to look like it was made for me. Very fast turn-around considering with covid restrictions the appointment had to be rescheduled twice. My had this done in one fitting! Her shop is super cute and clean! I would highly recommend My's Bridalteration to anyone. No need to look elsewhere to compare quality. Incredible eye for details

My dress was ordered online and was not a try on and go dress. I was so nervous because I fell in love with my dress in pictures then felt no spark when I tried it on. I found My on WeddingWire and she eased any and all hesitations I had. In 10 mins, she had pinned my dress and I could see the beginning of life being breathed into it. I had three fitting appointments total and each time, My over anticipated what my concerns would be by already addressing them. In total, she took the dress in 2.5 sizes, added cups, reconstructed the lace front, and hemmed it. My has an incredible eye to see the potential in each gown. I am so thankful to her for helping make my day extra beautiful.

My Made My Franken-Dress a Reality!

I found this unique skirt with gold applique inside/ white satin outside and knew I wanted to base my dress around it. I bought a second dress to become the top, and was hoping My could bring it all together in what I began calling my "Franken Dress". I've got a post where I documented the journey of its creation (https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/franken-dress/22d7731ed1337425.html).
She connected the two dresses and tailored the new creation to my frame, and removed the zipper back to put in a corset (*highly recommend this*). When we entered the COVID times, we began masking for our fitting meetings and there were no others in the shop at the same time. I really appreciated that.
Her price was extremely reasonable, and all in all I was able to make my perfect dress for under $1,000! Thank you so much!

My is a joy to work with!

My has altered many bridesmaid dresses for me in the past, so when it was time to get my wedding dress altered, she was the obvious choice! My is very polite and professional, and was able to complete my alterations in a timely manner. I initially thought my satin dress would be an easy fix, but quickly learned that the details that were required would be a very intricate task. My took it on graciously and did not worry! There is no task too large for her, and I knew that I was in good hands. My was also able to add a French bustle onto my dress which was perfect!

Not only is she a very qualified seamstress, she is also very flexible with scheduling. My was able to switch things around so that one of my bridesmaids could get her alterations done at the same time as me. For that, I am truly grateful and will continue to recommend her to my friends! Thank you My! :)

Wow. My was incredible for my dress alterations! I couldn’t imagine my dress fitting and looking the way I imagined it when I first picked it up. My is a miracle worker!!

After my original seamstress came to me a week before my second fitting two months before my wedding and told me she couldn't do my alterations I was in a panic and called the place I bought my dress for recommendations. Champagne Taste Bridal Boutique recommended My and within one hour had gotten a hold of her and I scheduled my appointment for that weekend! My was extremely friendly, professional and very knowledgeable and made me feel like I didn't need to worry at all. A month later, I went to my final fitting and my dress fit PERFECTLY! Her work is stunning and what one seamstress told me couldn't be done, My did and she did it quickly and it was beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend My and her company. I had a few weird alterations that needed to be taken care of for my wedding dress (like removing some of the bone of the dress) and My altered it flawlessly. Saved The Day

I had just moved with my husband here to VA. We had a sudden event to go to and the dress I purchased needed several alterations. Before finding My's Bride Alterations, the other companies either wouldn't be able to alterate in time, were going to alter my dress in a way I literally couldn't sit down or they were incredibly unaffordable.

Once I thankfully found My's Bridal Alterations, she got me in, my dress done perfectly, and before my event for an affordable price! She even gave me tips on how to maneuver in the dress as I was definitely not used to the "mermaid " dresses that are very fitting around your upper legs.

The best alteration experience ever!

My was so great to work with. She knew exactly what she was doing, so I never felt worried that she might be ruining or messing up my dress. She communicated every change she planned to make and asked my approval before doing it. She took time at the end of my final fitting to teach my mom and sister how to bustle the dress. She also just made the whole experience really fun for me. I felt like a princess when I bought my dress, and I felt like a princess again each time I went to have my fittings - My’s studio is beautiful!

Seriously the best

My was recommended to me through the owner of the shop I bought my wedding dress at, and she is honestly the best. She is such an artist & is so good at what she does; she's also very knowledgeable and so helpful.
I'm definitely going to use My for all my alteration needs! Highly recommend!

Hands down go with her! I had her make me a custom jacket for the church and veil. She is awesome and fairly priced. I loved her and she knows what she is doing!

Amazing talent

Where do I start? I purchased my dress in December 2018; I found My through a co-worker who had gotten married a few years prior. She was able to schedule me for a free quote very quickly accommodating my tight schedule. My second appointment was in July 2019 when My took my measurements again before making any alterations to the dress. By that time, I had lost about 30 lbs and about 4 to 5 inches off of my waist (some more off of my hips and chest). My basically had to take my dress apart to take it in, so it would fit me perfectly. I had two more fittings after July and she even let me try it on the day I picked it up so I could show my mom what it looked like in person and how to do the bustle. My was incredibly kind and flexible throughout the entire process; she answered all of my questions and even stayed open late on my last fitting because I was over two hours late due to unexpected traffic. Her job was impecable; nobody could have ever guessed my dress was taken in as much as it was. I was very comfortable on my wedding day and showed off my beautiful dress proudly =)

A master at her craft!

My Pham was phenomenal. I have sung her praises to all my coworkers and friends who are getting married or need any kind of dress alteration. I went to My to get my wedding dress altered after I had a bad experience with another shop. Without even laying a finger on my wedding dress, she could tell from a mile away what needed to be altered. She even altered parts that I didn't even know could be changed! The end result was fantastic, and she made me fall in love with my dress all over again. She is so knowledgeable in her work, and she was very thorough in explaining to me what was going to be done. Whatever I asked her to do to my dress, My made it happen! I felt like a princess in my wedding gown, and it fit me so well! She worked magic on my dress, and My is truly a master at her craft. Her attention to detail and incredible work ethic made all the difference. I will 100% recommend her to everyone I know, and I would come to her with any dress I need!

My is incredible

My does absolutely stunning work on wedding dresses!! I brought my dress to her and needed to have it pulled in as well as have multiple belts (yes belts!) sewed on to my neckline and down my entire back! I knew it was going to look beautiful but when My finished and I got to try it on my mother in are teared up because it was SO BEAUTIFUL! It looked like the beading was originally
designed on the dress!
My also has great customer service! She truly works to make your dreams come true and insure your dress is exsactly how YOU want it. She is super quick to respond and has a great sense of humor. I would recommend My's Bridal Alternations to any bride I met. She is incredibly talented and works magic!!

Amazing Seamstress!

Amazing! Quality service

I could not recommend My Bridalterations more! She took such good care of me and I could not thank her enough. She made sure I got exactly what I was looking for and that I felt so comfortable leaving there! I was able to go to a first fitting then 2 weeks later to pick up my dress and it fit like a glove. Absolutely wonderful experience working with My!

My dress took longer to come in than expected and My fit us right in to her schedule! Reading that it typically takes 2 to 3 months for alterations worried me, but My was very relaxed and confident that she could alter my dress with plenty of time to spare. The dress turned out beautifully and fits like a glove! Don't look anywhere else! She is worth the drive and every penny.

8/30/19 Wedding

I got my wedding dress altered from My's Bridalterations for my wedding on 8/30/19 and I loved how my dress turned out! I just moved to Northern Virginia a few months before the wedding and brought my wedding dress to My 2 months before my NY wedding.
My was so professional and flexible to make sure to meet my requests. I kept losing weights as days were getting closer to the wedding, and she made sure to alter my dress perfectly as how I wanted. I also had the cups sewn in and I'm really glad I asked her to sew in as I didn't have to worry about picking the right undergarment and it was so comfortable until the end of the reception. On the wedding day, I got so many compliments from the guests and comments regarding how my dress was fitting perfectly especially after I lost lots of weight since I bought the wedding dress. I highly recommend My's Bridalterations for any wedding gown alterations as I loved how my dress turned out!

Fabulous Work!

So happy to have had My complete my dress alterations! She was amazing from the beginning. She responded to my emails right away and set up my first fitting based on my wedding date. She knew exactly what needed to be altered on my dress and she also listened to my suggestions. Her work was stunning and well priced! She took in the sides and bust, shortened the straps, hemmed the dress, and added a bustle. She even had to remove and replace lace and you would never know! She even gave me the extra lace to keep. The bustle was beautiful and unique and I received many compliments on it! She even made sure my maid of honors knew exactly how to do it. The alterations were completed over a course of 3 fittings and My was extremely flexible in scheduling them since I was an out of town bride. I’m so happy to have found My and worked with her! Professional service and fair price

I went to My in a panic. Another alterations business quoted me $1100 because she had to take my dress apart due to poor quality boning and lack of support around my bust.
I went to see My and she properly explained the issue and offered an easy solution, sew in a bustier which kept the girls lifted. That along with a 5 point bustle was just $275.
Her store front is beautiful, well organized and makes you feel like a special bride. My is the best value for your dollar and worth the drive.

Beautiful work!

My did an incredible job altering my wedding dress so that it fit beautifully! She had to work with layers of complicated lace but made it flawless. And she was able to fashion me a beautiful matching veil out of the same lace!

I was referred to My from a wedding swap website and I am so glad I did! My dress came had scalloped lace on the bottom and she hemmed it so perfectly! And the bustle turned out gorgeous! I highly recommend My’s Alterations-the BEST in DMV area!

Choose My!

One of the most important parts of your wedding is that your dress fits like it was made for you! My is extremely skilled at making the dress absolutely perfect for you! She is truly kind, talks through what she feels needs to be done with your dress, and is extremely easy to make appointments with (texting!). The new store is gorgeous and she makes you feel completely comfortable! You can relax knowing that she will do an exceptional job because she is beyond talented in fancy gowns and she genuinely cares about making it literally perfect! She is amazing at changing the length of lace dresses, which is extremely challenging! Her family is adorable and adds to the experience. Choose My! I would recommend her to everyone! I can look back at my wedding pictures and enjoy them all because I feel beautiful in the dress she fixed!

Amazing!!!!

My was suggested by my wedding coordinator as a trusted seamstress. During my first appointment, she was honest about a dress that I had purchased and saved me lots of money in needless alterations. My was professional at every appointment! She guided me on the best way to bustle my dress, which was perfection! My is the BEST in the business and to prove it, I drove 3 hours round-trip for all four appointments. She is a lovely person who knows her stuff! You will not be disappointed in her services, I cannot say enough good things about her as a seamstress and I highly recommend her!

Pure Perfection

I found recommendations for My Pham through FB and then came here to check her reviews... There aren't enough words to describe how amazing she was to work with. My was so warm and welcoming from the first email. She did the alterations for my wedding gown, my daughter's junior bridesmaid dress, my younger daughter's flower girl dress -- and then she steamed the dresses for my mom, sister, and niece when they arrived in town for my wedding. My dress needed quite a bit of alterations including it being taken in at the sides and shoulders, shortening the back, hemming (i'm 5'3), and creating a 9 point bustle for the train. My dress had very intricate beading and crystal detailing and it was made of Chantilly lace. You could not tell that any alterations were made -- it was done so seamlessly with complete attention to detail. I can not say enough about how awesome our dresses turned out!

Amazing work!

I was very cautious with who I was going to trust my wedding dress alterations with as it is such a big and important purchase. I am beyond happy that I went to My Bridalterations. My was so easy to work with and when it came to altering my dress she made recommendations that I never even thought of!
