From the moment we finished our first Skype call with Gemma, we knew she was the person to whom we wanted to entrust the most important day of our lives. And we're so pleased that we did.
Gemma and her team are not only meticulous in their planning, but they are also wonderful people to bring on the wedding journey. At every step, they filled us with confidence, reassurance and excitement.
Their knowledge of Como, the network of partners and vendors they have cultivated and their ability to get things done are incredible. We knew we were not only in safe hands, but the very best hands.
When we were unsure, too frightened to ask or having doubts (about wedding day decisions, not marriage!) they were nothing but patient, kind and pragmatic.
On the lead up to the wedding, and on the day itself, they brought such great positivity, energy and creativity that we felt as if they were part of our wedding. Not just someone we relied on to get married.
In the best way, we felt as if we were their only client. The highest compliment I can pay is that it was such an enjoyable experience, we can't wait to renew in a few years and have Gemma and the team as guests, as well as planners.

Memories of a lifetime
As most COVID-couples would know, planning an international wedding during a pandemic was anything but a walk in the park, but we absolutely ADORED working with Gemma. From our initial meeting to the big day, Gemma and her team were incredibly professional, patient, meticulous, thoughtful, and simply brilliant. Having to navigate two postponements and a number of pandemic-related hurdles, Gemma held our hands through the ups and downs and gave us a peace of mind knowing that she had everything under control.
Everything about our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and honestly it exceeded our every expectation. Gemma thought of every detail, and we had so many guests coming up to us during and after the wedding, letting us know it was the most beautiful they have ever been to, and how thoughtful every little detail was. And I told them it was all Gemma!
While I'm still bummed that I don't get to talk to Gemma anymore, we couldn't be more grateful to Gemma and her team (Jess and Maria) for giving us the memories of a lifetime. -

A Great Planner and YOUR advocate
A year of intense planning, lots of money committed to a storybook venue, and the night before the heavens opened to a furious June storm. By mid-morning the rain had stopped by the sky remained heavy, albeit with some promise of clearing. While the hotel pushed to move the ceremony and reception inside, we needed an advocate willing to push back and give us a chance to hold the event we dreamed of. That advocate was Gemma and she held the line and marshaled all the resources to put everything impeccably in place as sun broke through and delivered the most spectacular afternoon and evening. And despite this last minute rush, everything from flowers, to food, to reception and table arrangements were executed perfectly. And Gemma was the field general making all of this happen.
Way before that glorious wedding day, we took Gemma’s advice on every detail. Her navigation of the seemly infinite number of choices and options paid off beautifully. We trusted her confidence in her vendors and they all came thru. Magnificent flowers from Figli
Florist, Daniela’s first class hair & make-up team, Brightlights Band who not only made our reception but were fun and willing to work with all our requests and the best photographer, (and nicest guy) Marc Smith, who captured it all. And on Gemma’s request the opera singers who made our guests convinced they were in a movie. Our budget was not unlimited and looking back the choices she guided us to had enormous impact on making the day so memorable. We continually hear from our guests that the wedding, in fact the whole weekend, was the best wedding folks had ever attended. That sets an amazing standard and one in which we remain ever so grateful for Gemma. We wholeheartedly recommend Gemma. Not just for the litany of services provided by planners, but for being there for us at a moment where the day could have gone in a very different direction. Gemma will have your back. -

Wonderful experience, start to finish!
Gemma and her team are truly some of the most wonderful people I have worked with. She supported us in every stressful situation, never getting flustered when we were blowing something out of proportion and always bringing her calm, confident demeanor to every aspect of the planning. She pushed us just the right amount as well, suggesting a little extra here and there that seemed trivial at the time but brought everything together perfectly.
I honestly look back on the things I was stressed about, feeling like a certain thing might not be worth the money, but in the end, wow was I wrong. I could not imagine the day without those details and they contributed to some of our best memories of the day!
Where she really blew us away was the day of. Gemma and her team were on top of EVERYTHING. I hear so many stories of stressful weddings but ours sailed through without a single hitch, we were both so relaxed the whole day (I think I’ve been more stressed at weddings I’ve been a guest of)! Three months later and family and friends are still commenting on how impressed they were with her and Isabella.
Planning a wedding is such a big unknown and can be incredibly stressful but Gemma was there every step of the way, working with us to realize our dream wedding and pushing us to dream bigger! We cannot thank her enough for her help and support.

Dream come true
Wedding at Como has been my lifetime dream. Planning it from Japan was not easy but Gemma and her team made it so stress-free with their dedication and attention to details. The day was so so so magical. I’ll never forget the fireworks which Gemma and my husband planned as a surprise! The guests called it as wedding of century and it wouldn’t have happened with Gemma and her team’s support. All the vendors they work with very closely are also...simply amazing. -

Working with Maria from Lake Como Wedding Planner was an absolute dream! Planning an elopement from San Diego to Italy could have been a logistical nightmare, but Maria made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
From our first conversation, Maria tuned into our vision and was able to offer suggestions and solutions that we hadn't even considered. She made us feel comfortable and understood, all while coordinating with vendors and taking care of countless behind-the-scenes details that really elevated our special day.
We were particularly impressed by how Maria made the day uniquely ours. Despite the physical distance, she took the time to get to know us as a couple, so that our personalities and love story shone through every element of the wedding.
It's one thing to organize an event; it's another to create an experience that will be remembered for the rest of our lives. Maria did just that. We had an UNFORGETTABLE FAIRYTALE WEDDING! If you're planning a wedding in Lake Como, do yourself a favor and work with Maria and her team. We couldn't be more grateful for the special day she crafted for us. Thank you so much, Maria! -

We consider ourselves so lucky to have found Gemma as our wedding planner. We got to know her as an incredibly well-organized and caring professional who made our lives so much easier when it came to organizing our wedding in Laglio (Lake Como). We could truly enjoy our wedding day as Gemma took care of everything, and she managed to always be there for us. From finding the perfect venues, flowers, vendors to places etc. we felt incredibly well taken care of all the time. We would like to thank Gemma for all the countless times she remained calm and kind when were feeling stressed and overwhelmed. The wedding proposal of my dreams
Maria was amazing! My now fiancé hired Maria for our Lake Como proposal and I literally could have never dreamed of anything so beautiful, so unique, so unforgettable. She is FANTASTIC! It’s been two months since our dreamy proposal and I think about it everyday. From the location, to the floral selection, to the intricate parts of the day, she was the most amazing person ever. THANKS SO MUCH MARIA! -
