10/10 would recommend Mulligan’s to anyone!

Mulligan’s was an absolute dream! Robin and her team were everything we were looking for. Her food selection was delicious, she catered to my fiancé and I taste and we have never had so many people completely blown away by her menu! We offered bacon wrapped filet, crab stuffed flounder and Tuscan chicken as entrees for our wedding of about 120 people at The Black Stallion. The filets came out perfect, the chicken and fish were both flavorful and oh my goodness the crab bisque/salad with her house-made dressing to start, YUM! She and her team were professional and courteous and she was the most personable bubbly host to our family. I will never forget her or her team. Mulligan’s helped make our NYE wedding so incredibly elegant and special. She never hesitated to go above and beyond and we felt so very lucky to have found her!

Absolutely recommend!!!

Robin and her team were nothing shy of perfect for our wedding day catering. We met Robin at the wedding expo that OBXWA hosts each year and we immediately knew she was the one for us! She is bubbly, personable and professional. She walked us through the catering menu and helped us pick the combination of foods that aligned with what we had envisioned for our wedding (nothing fancy - pulled pork, chicken and ribs). At one point, I wanted to cross some things off the menu and Robin highly encouraged us not to do it because of how good it was. SHE WAS NOT WRONG!!! Her team set up a beautiful display in the event hone that we got married in. They were phenomenal and the food was AMAZING. Everyone raved about it. As you can tell, I can’t recommend them more!

Amazing caterer and reception spot!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Robin and her assistant! They were warm, welcoming, extremely responsive and organized. Though we were coming from out of town, we were treated like family and didn’t have a single worry! The food options were plentiful and it was AMAZING! We still talk about how we miss our wedding food lol and the view of the ocean and Jockeys Ridge at sunset under white lights in the covered patio simply can’t be beat in the OBX! I would recommend them time and time again to anyone! If you’re debating use them, do it!

Wedding Food

Mulligan's did an outstanding job!! They made sure the wedding party got appetizers during picture time (this was a big hit), and they checked on us (bride and groom) multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire process. The food was outstanding and everyone has continued to talk about it! I highly recommend!!

Highly Recommend!

After looking at numerous catering options in the Outer Banks, my now husband and I began to think that having seafood at our wedding was just out of the budget. Finally, we looked into Mulligans Catering and after our taste test we were sold. We found that we could have beef tenderloin, crab cakes, crab dip and more for an affordable price. Before our wedding, Robin was always there to answer any questions we had regarding the catering and helped with every detail including dinnerware. During our reception, the bar service Mulligans provided went above and beyond. They created delicious cocktails and were very receptive to our guests. They consistently came to my husband and myself to make sure we had drinks, appetizers and dinner. I can not recommend Mulligans enough!

Perfect Rehearsal Dinner!!

Perfect for my rehearsal dinner! From the moment I first connected with Robin she was organized, prompt, friendly and professional. The night of the dinner she came to our beach house and set up a fabulous meal. They were attentive to the guests, serving and busing quickly. We had chosen the OBX Living the Dream Buffet and it was truly a Dream. Amazing beef tenderloin!! Not a single family member was hungry that night!! Thank you Mulligans. I highly recommend Mulligans for an event, rehearsal dinner or wedding!!!

Great food - Hassle Free Experience

We had dealt with one vendor previous to choosing Mulligans. It was a disaster. Couldn't get a timely response. When changes were requested, they wouldn't get done until the second and third request.
Mulliigans was great. Quick and timely replies. Changes made first time. Correspondence showed us all the information we needed even though we hadn't specifically asked for it. Our menu had a specialty on it that wasn't on Mulligans menu which they had no difficulty in providing.
Since this was a destination wedding, the timing that was provided to us made it extremely easy to schedule when we needed to get information to Mulligans. This relieved a lot of the stress involved. We had a great experience and the food was fantastic. Would recommend Mulligans to anyone interested in a catered event.

Very Flexible! Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Great Service!

We came across Mulligan's as a rehearsal dinner venue after the venue tour as part of the OBX Wedding Expo in January. We met with Robin to discuss our options for planning our rehearsal dinner that very evening. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the options Mulligan's offered. We had a very small dinner party (comparatively speaking) and she helped us to creatively reach that minimum. We still had a ton of food leftover but that was to be expected. She worked with us to make sure all the kids had chicken tenders (because we have a few picky eaters in our families). They served calamari "family style" on all the tables. It was DELICIOUS! We had an Italian buffet that everyone raved about that night and the next day. You don't immediately think Italian food when you think of Mulligan's but they NAILED IT! We also had spinach artichoke dip and pimento cheese dip with crackers and bread dippers and that too was a crowd favorite. I cannot tell you how delicious everything was. You would just have to try it for yourselves. Robin was great to work with. Very responsive. They did a nice job adding some decorations to the area which was appreciated because we didn't have any decorations. The two people who helped with dinner service were wonderful. They stayed on top of the drink orders and kept plates cleared. Everything about our rehearsal dinner experience at Mulligan's exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them!

Best food eva

I had to plan a long distance wedding. I have never in my life ever hired a caterer, but Robin just helped out so much. She let me decide and gave me directions and suggestions for the best party ever! The food was incredible, they served and cleaned and made us laugh and it was more than we could have imagined! Mulligan's is the best!

We are so glad that we chose Mulligan’s as our wedding caterer! The planning process was so easy from the start working with Robin. She went above and beyond with making sure every detail was covered. We had a huge menu to choose from, which they were very flexible with us changing a few times to stay within our budget as well as get exactly what we wanted. We decided to provide all of our own appetizers and dishware, but the Mulligan’s staff still set everything up for us so we did not have to worry about anything the day of. The food was absolutely amazing and we had countless guests comment on how great it was. We also had many guests comment on how friendly all of the staff members were! This is our favorite restaurant to eat at in the Outer Banks, and we made the best choice by having them cater our wedding!

Awesome!!!!!

Being from out of town and not knowing what to expect, I can honestly say I was very impressed. We had dropped off a few decorations and to our surprise, Robin had fixed the room so pretty. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Friendly and very helpful with all. I would recommend for any event.

Tasty Taco Truck

Robin and the staff at Mulligan’s are awesome! We rented their food truck and turned it into a taco truck for our rehearsal dinner with approx. 60 guests – the tacos, street corn and rice were delicious. Our guests absolutely loved the food truck and we all had a great time. Robin was very responsive and thorough throughout the planning process. She even went by our venue a couple days ahead of time to check conditions. I’d highly recommend Robin and her team for any of your catering needs!

Food Was A Highlight Of Our Wedding

Mulligan's was the perfect choice for our wedding, and they were able to cater (no pun intended) to all our needs. We requested a pescatarian taco bar and they delivered! The amazing food was a talking point of our wedding, and months later guests were still raving about the food. I cannot say enough positive things about Mulligan's and Robin.

The Best Caterer on the Beach!

Not only was the food phenomenal, but Robin was so wonderful to work with! She was super responsive and made me feel like she truly cared about our day! Best wedding food

We had Mulligans cater our wedding and it was the best decision we made! We chose Robin and her team over several other caterers because she was so responsive, easy to work with and helped us create a menu that was completely us! Robin was amazing to work with, she even checked in on us the morning of the wedding with words of encouragement, we felt that she truly cared about making our day absolutely perfect. Her and her staff were amazing during set up and provided excellent service to our guests during the wedding. They even served late night snacks out of their food truck, the fish tacos were AMAZING. Our friends and family could not stop raving about how amazing the food was. We stayed a week in the outer banks after our wedding and ate at Mulligans restaurant several times because we couldn’t get enough of their food!

Booking a vendor without having met them can be a little nerve racking but we are so thankful that we went with Mulligans!! Robin was the nicest and sweetest caterer to work with throughout our tasting, to all our menu changes, ensuring my nut allergy was a priority, making incredible rehearsal dinner, wonderful wedding food, and even running out during our wedding ceremony to purchase more alcohol for us!! (Liquor goes quick at weddings!!) Every single guest commented on how incredible the food was and how sweet the staff was!! Robin and her main man Bryan were amazing hosts and were always willing to do whatever we needed as quick as possible! Don’t hesitate to book them!! They are so worth it and our guests left happy and full!! The leftovers for the week ever went quick due to our family being obsessed with the food (you must get the macaroni and cheese... guests still talk about it to us haha!!) Thank you so much Robin!! You are wonderful!!!

We had a late morning Sunday breakfast gathering in the covered deck for about 40 people the day after our wedding. Robin worked with me and my indecisive ways for months in planning this event. She was so patient with me and in the end created and delivered exactly what I wanted; Omelet Chef, Bloody and Mimosa Bar and all! The food was so good! The staff was pleasant and attentive. The covered deck was perfect for what we wanted. Would defintely recommend Mulligans and will surely hope to use them again in the future for some more fun events.

Robin handled my caterering needs and requests. She helped me plan with Metro rental and she made sure everything was perfect for our wedding celebration event. Food was excellent, presentation great and staff very helpful. I forgot about a guest that was allergic to garlic and she had an employee bring food specially for that guest. Over and above for sure. I would not hesitate to recommend and would love to hire them for any future events.

We hired Mulligans to cater a dinner at a large house we had rented in Kill Devil Hills and a sit-down dinner at the restaurant for a family reunion of nearly 40 people. This was in July, when just about all the restaurants in the area were reluctant to commit a private room to a dinner, when they are so crowded. Mulligans did provide a private room, and they did a splendid job. The sit-down dinner was served as a buffet, and the food was excellent. Service was accommodating and friendly. The only thing to be aware of is the "private" room is actually a covered deck, open to the outside air. That's very pleasant, but it's also open to a busy street, with the usual noise. The catered dinner was superb. We had guests from all over North America-- as far away as Alaska and British Columbia-- so we elected to have a NC barbecue for them. The pulled pork was among the best I've ever eaten, and I grew up in eastern NC, so I've eaten a lot of that dish. The barbecued chicken was moist, perfectly cooked. And Mulligans provided so much food that we were still eating it for lunches two days later. The staff who arrived with the food were efficient and friendly and got it set up very fast for a hungry crowd. I would certainly use Mulligans again for a party like this one. Ask for Robin. She's terrific.

The food was out of this world delicious. We had drop off catering and they showed up right when they said they'd be there. There was more than enough food for what we ordered. I highly recommend Mulligan's Beach Catering. Robin was wonderful to work with.

From the beginning Mulligan's was helpful, quick, easy, and professional. I had their food truck for my wedding reception and it was such a hit! They arrived on time, served amazing food that my guests could not stop talking about, and even went above and beyond to bring food around the reception for my guests even though this was not discussed. They quickly realized that my guests weren't all going down to the truck and many of my guests were unable to (wheelchairs, etc.) so they made it a point to make sure everyone was eating and enjoying themselves. I never once had to stop and ask them to change anything or do anything. They packed up all of the food for me and placed it into the fridge, put a bit of food out for the guests to continue to snack on, and mingled professionally with guests when necessary. Every service they provided was fabulous and I was so thrilled with out everything turned out.

HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested in a great selection of delicious food, wonderful service, and an easy planning/night of service.

PS- The crab cakes as an appetizer was the biggest hit with my guests. They will be talking about them forever!

We had our rehearsal dinner on the covered deck at Mulligan’s followed by a tiki party at the bar. The food and drinks were fantastic, the service was great, and the venue had a wonderful view. Highly recommended!!

Mulligans was a great option for us. We had our original caterer cancel and were back on the market looking for a major vendor for our wedding. Robin and Mulligans made the entire process fun and exciting from the tasting to menu revisions and finally the big night! Our day of coordinator recomened Mulligans as a caterer for our wedding based off of their friendly staff and great service! If you are looking for catering in the Outer Banks, look no further! Mulligan's offers an amazing catering menu at a very reasonable price and their food is delicious! My wife and I had the privilege of working with Robin and her team and we can not say enough good things about them! The food and bar staff were the absolute best! They kept things running smoothly and always made sure we had drinks in our hand! The service they provided was out of this world and they just made everything so easy! Robin was always responsive to answering all of our questions, selecting a menu, creating the perfect signature cocktail, and so much more. She always had the answers and she literally covered everything, even the details I couldn't think of! Our wedding day was so special because of vendors like Mulligan's who go the extra mile to provide extraordinary customer service and that is so needed on your wedding day! It has been a month, and our guests are still raving about how amazing our food was! We highly recommend the Chicken and Waffles, our guest loved it! Thank you guys!!!

Mulligan's catered our October 2017 wedding in Jarvisburg, NC. We could not have been more pleased with their service! They were so responsive with email correspondence. We were able to do two tastings to ensure that we picked all the food we would love! On the day of the wedding, the set up was clean and seamless. They provided top notch service, and always made sure that my husband and I were taken care of! We have not stopped hearing rave reviews about the steak tenderloin, and the macaroni and cheese! We are very pleased, and would refer them to anyone getting married in the OBX, or surrounding areas!

Mulligan's is our favorite restaurant in the OBX, so naturally we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there and have them cater our wedding. We are so happy we did! From the beginning of the wedding planning process to the wedding day, they were awesome. The answered all of my questions, always stayed on top of things, and really helped make sure everything was just what we had envisioned. Robin and her staff were SO patient and helped accommodate all our guests. The food was above and beyond at both the rehearsal dinner and reception dinner. We absolutely LOVED working with Mulligans and we absolutely adore Robin. From the very first time we met some of the staff at the Outer Banks wedding expo, and got to try their fish tacos, we knew Mulligans was going to be a front runner. When we were wedding planning, we reached out to three caterers and right away Robin was super responsive and helpful; she completely designed our menu to fit in our budget and make sure we got the things we wanted. I’ve never planned a wedding before, so it’s a very daunting task, but Robin made every step a breeze. She even made recommendations where to purchase our linens and table settings because she knew we were trying to keep everything within our budget. When we came down to the outer banks for our yearly summer vacation, we got to do a full tasting and try everything that was going to be served at our wedding, and Robin said we could make any changes we wanted, but we ended up loving everything. During the wedding, her staff was AMAZING. They say the wedding couple never gets to eat at their wedding, but we did because the catering staff had plates waiting for us at our table! It was such a nice touch and showed that they really considered everything. One of the catering servers even came by to refresh our drinks and bring us more fish tacos! The catering staff did an amazing job getting everything cleaned up at the end and I just can’t say enough about how smoothly everything ran thanks to Mulligans. Even days after our wedding we were hearing from friends and family how much they just loved our food. Everybody was asking where they could get more of the fish tacos! I would absolutely recommend Mulligans (and Robin!) to anyone thinking about getting married in the OBX.

Mulligans Beach Catering was the heart and soul of our wedding celebration. We utilized their catering as well as their bartender services for our OBX destination wedding.
First and foremost, their food was AMAZING. Many guests have told me that it was the best wedding food they have ever had (trust me I am a skeptic at heart but the massive response we got is more than enough to convince me).
We chose a collection of items (fried green tomato stacks, spring rolls, crab dip for appetizers; seared ahi tuna, crab cakes, steak marinated in a wine reduction sauce for main courses) and everything was outstanding. I enjoyed the food at my wedding so much that I forced family members to leave me alone so that I could finish a plate and then enjoy another round of my favorites.
The service (from our first tasting to the actual event day) was also above and beyond what I would have expected. Mulligans offered us assistance with set up, event timeline, decorations etc. They also accommodated some special requests (they brought us an outstanding cake stand to use as well as many decorations that they happened to have in their catering shed). Robin and her team were always available via phone call or e-mail and allowed us to make many changes up until the week of the wedding.
Finally, we enjoyed spending time with the staff at our wedding. Some of them (Robin, Donny, Brian and Patrick) were such an integral part of the fun that guests talk about them whenever the wedding comes up! We would love to spend time with them all whenever we return to the OBX and we intend to visit Mulligans as much as possible (we even went back to the restaurant twice during our wedding week because we couldn't get enough of the food)!
The bottom line is that Mulligans was SO worth the money and they honestly deserve more than we paid them. They were the best decision we made while planning our Outer Banks wedding.

The team was awesome! Robin did more than we expected. Brian the server was like a family member joking and taking care of everyone. We had a Day of Coordinator but could have done without because this team took care of everything. Mulligans made our day awesome!!!

Mulligan's was great, they catered our wedding off site. The food was phenomenal, the price was amazing, and the staff really out did themselves. ROBIN goes above and beyond, she even offered to help my sister in law with her baby while she was settting up!! She instantly felt like an old friend and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else there to oversee it all! You can not go wrong picking this restaurant for all of your wedding or any type of catering needs. My whole family loves every bite!

We booked Mulligan's through our wedding planner Hatteras Island Wedding and Events (Wendi Munden). We had a destination wedding for our Daughter and guests boasted it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Go for the Prime Rib! We did a buffet style and the food was hot fresh and exceeded our expectations. The serving staff was also 5 star. Every single dish served was delicious. We also did a cocktail hour with h'ordourves and they make a superb hot crab dip. Do not hesitate to use for a large or small event AND call Wendi at Hatteras Island Wedding and Events for a STRESS free wedding planner.

Both Elizabeth and Robin were a great help throughout the wedding planning process. Both were very friendly and professional. The foot at Mulligan's was also delicious and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the OBX or planning a wedding.

I can't say enough good things about Mulligan's! First off, for the price, which we felt was very reasonably in comparison to other OBX caterers, you won't find better seafood for your wedding. We did a huge tasting with Mulligan's and knew almost immediately that they were going to be who we chose. They put together an amazing, beachy menu for our wedding that we couldn't wait for our guests to try. And at the wedding, everyone was raving about the food.

Secondly, during the planning process, the staff at Mulligan's was incredible about answering all of my questions in a timely manner and helping me make sure everything was squared away before the big day. Even when it came down to figuring out who would provide table settings and silverware, the Mulligan's team helped keep my indecisive mind on track.

Lastly, I am a pescetarian, so I do not eat meat, and I have a few friends who were attending our wedding who follow the same diet. Mulligan's made sure to include plenty of vegetarian-friendly options that everyone would love, and they were great about making sure my husband and I had all the food we wanted at our sweetheart table during the reception.

Overall I'm very happy that we decided to have Mulligan's cater our wedding! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great food at a great price for their wedding.

Mulligan's was PERFECT - Robin was so accommodating and personable, and blended right into our event. They were prompt, and the food was amazing. They left the place cleaner than it was when they got there. They cooked the food on site, in a food truck in the driveway - which meant the food was hot and fresh, but the caterers weren't in the way of any guests. I couldn't recommend this company more!

We really struggled to find a good caterer within our budget. we got overpriced quotes from multiple restaurants. Mulligan's Elizabeth Chambers kept in contact with me and personalized our menu over and over to get exactly the menu that I wanted for as close to our budget as possible, which was so appreciated. They even gave us a crab dip app free of cost- Elizabeth knew I really wanted this but it was over budget and they happened to have some extra crab meat that weekend and made it for us! It was incredibly thoughtful of them. We love Mulligans and were very satisfied with their food, bar service and communication throughout.

Mulligans has a taco truck! They did the rehearsal dinner at my wedding. We got married at an event home and they drove the taco truck to the door and my guests got to go out and get a "boat" full of tacos along with chips and salsa. The food was delicious and fresh. (we had fish, chicken and beef soft shell tacos) The service is friendly and efficient. Like really genuinely friendly! Great value. I can not say enough about Mulligans Taco truck! Thank you!!

If we could rate them 6 stars, we would. Where can we even begin to describe our experience working with Shannon and Elizabeth? First, they could not have been easier to work with. We chose them not only based on the great food they put together for our tasting, but their personalities are amazing and really make the whole planning process much easier. Our venue did not have a kitchen on-site, so the fact that they bring their catering truck and cook everything there was a HUGE plus. The staff they provided was great, they were truly on top of everything the entire evening despite Hurricane Matthew bearing down on us as the night went on. Our guests raved about the food which confirmed what we knew all along...we booked the best caterer we could have. Seriously, do not overlook them when you are looking for a caterer. The level of communication, the professionalism, the ability to adjust during challenging circumstances, and most of all the food will not disappoint you.

My wife and I had our wedding in Kill Devil Hills back in June of this past year. We used Mulligan's for both our wedding day and also our rehearsal dinner on the beach. Shannon is awesome to work with and the food was amazing. Both of our families loved the food and want to come back to the OBX because of them. We are huge foodies so this was great for us because of the quality and service they provided. We were very impressed with the bartender they provided as well since we had her make probably the most Irish Car Bombs she's ever seen in one party...at least we hope for bragging rights.

Mulligans provided the appetizers, bartenders, and closing coffee/pastries for our wedding. Working with Shannon was such a pleasant and easy process - she was so quick to respond to any emails and seriously accommodating to all of our requests (even our last minute request for coffee/pastries for the end of the event!). And the food was AMAZING - we had multiple guests rave about the appetizers (the chicken & waffles are to die for!), and their shrimp & grits is the best that we have ever had! Shannon was even able to make the shrimp & grits into an appetizer by using endive spoons, which worked out perfectly!! We HIGHLY recommend using Mulligans for any catering needs - they were great!

My fiance and I could not have been happier with Mulligans catering. From start to finish, they were a pleasure to deal with, and we continually felt like we were being taking good care of. Mulligans catered both our rehearsal dinner and our reception. We had our rehearsal on the porch at the restaurant. Even though it was July, it was pleasant and the space looked wonderful. The food and service were excellent. We also were thrilled with the reception. We had several guests note that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Additionally, we wanted to have an ice cream sundae bar instead of a cake. Although our venue did not have freezer space, Mulligans made it happen. We cannot recommend Elizabeth and Shannon more highly.

Words cannot convey how happy my husband and I were with Mulligan's Catering for our wedding. We took it upon ourselves to do most of the wedding planning, setup, and cooking ourselves, which we quickly found out was a daunting task, especially when wedding day rolled around. Had it not been for Shannon and her partner, Elizabeth, our big day would have been so much more stressful. Throughout the process, Shannon was always in touch, making sure she knew every last detail of our wedding so she could plan accordingly. On wedding day, everyone on the Mulligan's crew was extremely courteous and hard-working. Elizabeth was a dream to work with, playing the role of both caterer and wedding planner - fixing plate settings, making sure everything was decorated beautifully, and constantly alleviating any concerns we had. Lastly, and most importantly, the food was absolutely fantastic. Do yourself a favor and be sure to get the crab cakes, fish tacos, pulled pork, and mini chicken & waffles - all were extremely delicious. I want to thank Mulligan's catering for making our dream wedding a reality, because we couldn't have done it without them.

HIDDEN GEM! I can't speak any higher about Mulligans, they were absolutely amazing. When my husband and I were down in OBX we stopped here for lunch, we were impressed with their food so we asked if they catered weddings. Elizabeth treated us like a 5 star guest and brought us out a 5 course meal, which included filet crab dip etc. We hired them on their professionalism alone! The experience planning with both Shannon and Elizabeth was amazing. Their prices are exceptional for the quality and quantity of their food. They bring a food truck and cook everything out of the truck! My guests were literally leaving the wedding to go thank the chef. Shannon was always so quick with responding and they are down for anything! Anything you want they will make happen! I want a signature drink, it was sliced pineapple that soaks in vodka for 29 days. They did that without even blinking an eye. They were such a pleasure to work with and I cant wait to go down and visit. You are crazy to go with any other caterer.

Planning a destination wedding from several hundred miles away is stressful, to say the least! After reaching out through a message board in order to find answers to all of my questions, my inbox was immediately flooded by vendors sending me their menus and telling me how they would be perfect for my wedding day...but one stood out above all! Shannon from Mulligans actually took the time to answer all of my questions, directly linking me to websites where I could get everything I needed and even went by the venue we had in mind to check out its suitability! It was only after answering all of my questions that she let me know that she was a caterer. She asked if we needed a caterer for our reception, then took the time to ask what our vision was for the event before sending me some sample menus she had from prior events. While other caterers immediately assumed I would want a barbecue reception, she took the time to ask and adapt to fit our needs.

Prior to our event, she met with us and went over the final details, and then she and her crew arrived early enough to make sure we didn't need any help with set-up. The food was beyond amazing, and plentiful! From the seafood to perfectly cooked prime rib, our guests were thoroughly impressed! The best part was finding takeout boxes with some of all the dishes waiting for us in our room after the reception (cause we definitely needed it!) Thank you to Shannon and the whole Mulligans catering crew for making sure our reception was perfect!

Shannon and Elizabeth were amazing. Mulligans hosted our rehearsal dinner and catered our wedding. They were very thorough which helped relieve our stress. The rehearsal dinner was excellent; the staff were helpful and the prices were reasonable.
Their catering for our wedding was outstanding. The food was awesome (yummy bbq) and the service was excellent.

Thank you so much! If we had to do it all over again, we'd definitely hire Mulligans a second time!!

Mulligan's hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner for about 20 guests followed by a welcome cocktail hour for approximately 65 guests ahead of our wedding.

The dinner menu was excellent, especially the BBQ hush puppy shooters and the oysters. Our dinner took place in a special room on Mulligan's upper deck that was private but offered beautiful views of both the sound and the ocean during sunset.

After dinner was over, all of our wedding guests were invited to the deck area for wine and beer and appetizers for about two hours. The staff at Mulligan's was stellar--no one waited for a drink at the bar or from the two waitresses who were also cocktailing for all of our guests and I don't think they got one single drink order wrong despite the high volume of guests and requests.

Overall we couldn't have picked a better place to have our rehearsal dinner, it was the perfect way to kick-off our wedding weekend!

We can not say enough good things about Mulligan's! We recently came home from an amazing wedding week in Corolla, NC. The weather was just perfect--every day except for our wedding day!! Our outdoor reception quickly turned into an indoor one, but it was flawless due to the fast acting team from Mulligan's. They brought table decorations that would have been ruined in from the rain (totally not part of their job), and they made our reception look as if it was planned inside all along. The food was absolutely perfect. Shannon worked with me from the very early planning stages, she listened to my preferences, and finally came up to an AWESOME menu that our guests are still talking about. We are fans for life, and will always stop in at milepost 13 on our way to or from the OBX. :)

Mulligans is incredible! I am so thankful I came across them in my caterer search. The price was so reasonable and the best part is the food. Every person at my wedding was raving about how amazing the food was! Shannon was so great to work with and never ever made a single thing a problem, which is so priceless when you have so much going on during planning. On the day of, her staff was so amazing. Super professional and made certain I never had to worry about a thing. I highly recommend them for catering your OBX wedding!!

Above and beyond!

Mulligan's was amazing from the very beginning, all thanks to Robin. Robin was always quick to respond, answer questions, and basically treated us like family even the day of our wedding. Robin helped work within our budget and was still able to provide an incredible meal for us and all of our guests. With limited resources to help day-of, I asked Robin if she and her team wouldn't mind doing a few extra things, and they truly went above and beyond. The food (taco bar) was amazing and all of our guests are still raving about it! My now-husband and I were a little worried about the cost at the beginning, but it was well-worth every penny. Great team, great service.

Mulligans provided excellent catering services to our dream beach wedding! Robin Rector was a delight to work with and she went above and beyond for us. She was very accommodating and flexible. When we realized that we were in need of a server for our wedding (a last minute decision), Robin provided us with one in jiffy. Not only that, but the food was absolutely incredible. Our guest couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. Overall Mulligans food services was perfect! If you ever decide to have a beach wedding at OBX, Mulligans is the place to turn to! You won't regret it!

After Wedding Breakfast

We chose Mulligans as a venue for a Sunday breakfast after our son’s wedding. The upper deck was the perfect spot to end a beautiful weekend. From the moment we met Robin at a Wedding Expo, she was helpful and gracious costumizing the menu to fit our needs. The food was delicious and the service outstanding.

I am the mother of the bride who wanted a destination wedding. I was very hesitant. I couldn't talk to any vendors face to face. Also, I had to pay upfront before the wedding. If you are like me...choose Mulligans for your caterer. They do a GREAT job. I am very happy with all the food and service. AND Mulligan's refunded some money because the final guest count was smaller than anticipated. Mulligan's is very trustworthy and I highly recommend them .

We had our small wedding reception on the upper deck of Mulligans Restaurant. The communication was generally good. Sometimes it took a little longer to hear back from the event coordinator. We were able to customize our drink and food menu exactly how we wanted. The price was reasonable. We were told the venue could hold up to 60 people. When we got our final guest count back we had 58 and they said that it would be a tight fit for that many people. I was a little upset about this considering they had told me it would hold 60. I could have invited less if that was the case from the start. Due to this we had to switch around our entire seating plan from the round tables to family style seating. This only bothered me because I had already bought all the décor to accommodate small round tables and I had to repurchase things to work for the very long tables instead. They were very good about accommodating us setting up the venue the morning of. The tables and chairs were already set up for us when we arrived. They let us have as much time as we needed to set up. Once the reception started it was indeed a tighter fit even with the family style seating but it worked out well. We had to move a table for the dance floor and they did it quickly and with ease. Dinner was great. We set a bar tab cap and they kept informing me when we were close to the max and we ended up increasing it a few times no problem. However, the cocktail service lacked extremely for the last 2 hours of the reception. All our guests were saying that the staff stopped coming around for drinks. My fiancé and I overall were happy with the evening but did indeed wish we got to have a few more drinks ourselves. I would recommend this venue for a guest count of around 40 people.
