Picking Moving Mountains as our photography vendor was one of the first decisions we made and one of the easiest. They have a diverse team of photographers to help you capture you engagement, you wedding and everything in between. They work with you to help you determine your style, your budget and after the wedding, a beautiful set of options to display your photos. Our photographer Christian was super fun to work with and gave us lots of great direction during all of our photos.
One small word of advice; budget extra for the album after the wedding. We got extra pages in our album and made a couple of upgrades which was an unexpected cost. We are still extremely happy with the product but it's something to keep in mind as you plan and budget. -

I found moving mountains on Instagram and knew we had to have them for our wedding! I loved their style of editing and really wanted someone who would be personable, capture intimate moments (not just the obligatory wedding photos), and that could produce a cinematic film. MM really worked with me on my dreams and what I could fit in my budget.
Christian shot our engagement photos first. This was an awesome opportunity to practice in front of the camera and get to know each other a little. Christian was such a trooper-he drove and hiked up Hawksbill mountain with us in June!
Before the wedding, MM had several conversations with us about must have moments and family dynamics. I loved that they did this because it showed me that they would be looking out for those special moments as well as capture all of our must haves. It was really nice to feel like they were taking the initiative and cared about getting to know us.
For the wedding day, Christian was our main shooter and Joshaun was our lead videographer. Even during the craziness of the day, we had SO much fun with these guys! Not only did they hype me up, they worked together seamlessly and made capturing these moments easy. It was evident that they both had a vision in mind. Laughing came easy and the whole crew was just a joy to be around. I honestly wished they could have put the cameras down and hung out with us!
The photos and video were worth the wait (we got married in peak fall time, so the 6 week turnaround time was completely reasonable). There were so many images to choose from!
The photos were a perfect mix of our “must have” shots, posed shots, and “moments” shots. The quality is unmatched and I am absolutely thrilled with them. Christian was able to capture moments that take me back to exactly how I felt in that moment. I will always be grateful that he captured my husband’s expressions and the look in his eyes, my dad and I singing to each other as we danced, and the small details that I can soak in forever. Also-DAT VEIL SHOT THO.
The video. Joshaun is a wildly talented professional. He is aware of everything going on and captured the perfect bits of audio to add. He asked questions and recorded answers that made the video so personal. As someone who micro managed and planned the whole day, Joshaun’s artistry and direction were a breath of fresh air. The lights. The angles. The details. He got it all. We cannot wait to watch this video for the rest of our lives together. We were blown away with all the feels this film created.

Working with Moving Mountains Studios was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. We booked them to be our cinematographers since we had a family friend already providing photography. During our initial meeting with the team we expected our meeting to be all about film...and shockingly it wasn't...we were asked so many questions about US as a couple. How we met. Our favorite things about each other. How we work together and what makes us unique as individuals. This was so refreshing and in the end is why Moving Mountains is SO great at what they do. They take the time to get to know their couples and from that, tailor your experience to best serve you on your wedding day. We were matched with Shaun to be our videographer and let me tell you, HE. IS. AWESOME. His personality is so inviting, sincere, and just a down right cool dude. He is someone you want to be friends with, which made him fit right in with our bridal party and wedding team.
Fast forward to wedding DAY. Shaun showed up at location #1 where me and my bridesmaids were getting ready. My girls LOVED him because he was SO FUN and creative!! And I cannot tell you how thankful I am that he was there that morning because my bride emotions were getting the best of me and I was having a hard time "keeping calm" with the amazing realization I was about to get married in a few short hours. Shaun sat me down, talked to me very calmly about how amazing and significant this day is about to be and that it was OK to show emotion and feel all the feels. I got a good cry out with him and from there on out it was smooth sailing! I was so nervous about not being able to recite my vows during the ceremony because my husband and I decided to write our own. Shaun was aware of this, so before hair and makeup finished he had me go outside and read my vows, on camera, 1 time before just to GET IT OUT. That was my saving grace! It allowed me to relax, take a deep breathe and be in the moment so that later during the ceremony it didn't feel like all this built up pressure...it felt like it SHOULD feel on your wedding day. Shaun's interactions with the groom and groomsmen was just as great. He was able to hangout with them like "one of the guys" which made for some really great video footage.
Our wedding film was EXACTLY what we were wanting. It made us laugh. It made us cry. It caught moments that, as the bride and groom, you don't always get to witness day-of. It allowed us to relive our day in ways nothing else could and is something we will cherish forever.
When people say that "you don't always remember what someone said to you, but you will always remember how they made you feel"...that is so true. Brett and I were made to feel like we were Moving Mountains only priority and during the chaos of wedding day, there is no better feeling.
I seriously could go on and on about how great the Moving Mountains Studio team, and Shaun specifically, are. Just know that if you book them for photography and/or cinematography for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed. -

They traveled with us to our destination wedding in riviera maya, Mexico and we couldn’t have made a better decision to include them in our special day! They both are so compassionate about what they do and truly have an eye for capturing the most memorable photos. Not only are they our incredible best friends but they are amazingly talented with their profession! They are a fantastic duo that makes the whole experience from engagement photos, to my bridal session and of course one of the best days of my life—our wedding! If you are looking for a stress free experience that’ll surpass your expectations with a snap, you have got to let Kelly and Bryson capture your memories that will last a lifetime!

Kelly photographed my wedding and truly captured the beauty of the venue, the happiness of all the guests, and the most amazing photos of my groom and myself. She is like superwoman, I don't know how she seemed to be in so many places at one time, but she was amazing and the photos are breathtaking! Five stars doesn't seem like enough, they are true professionals who will make your best day ever fun & the photos will be cherished treasures I am so grateful for- just simply perfect.

They capture the most amazing candid moments and make everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Their photos are SO romantic. They take the time to really get to know their clients and build a relationship with them. We have gained amazing friends with them along the way. They listened to every request we had and put our own personal spin to the photos. 5 stars are not enough for these two.

We highly recommend working with Moving Mountains studios. Our cinematographer was Leo and he was amazing to work with. He knew what he was doing and made us feel confident, showed us feedback and videos he had taken of the day, and they look amazing. We cannot wait to see the final product! Our photographer and Leo did not know each other, but she told us that he was one of the nicest and easiest videographers she has worked with! Very high praise! He listened to our specifications about the big day and captured all the important moments. Communication was spotty after booking, as the previous videographer we were working with stopped replying to us and was eventually replaced by Leo, but he was quick to communicate with us and get all the details. We also got a free Gifyy booth included which was really fun. -

We had a rough go with moving mountains. It started great, and they were very communicative. The issues started the month before our wedding, when our cinematographer was switched for the third time. With our first two cinematographers, we had a sit down FaceTime call and went through every little detail about the wedding and what we did and did not want included in our video. The third cinematographer assured us that he had all those notes, and we did not need another meeting.
Fast forward to the week that we were supposed to get our video back. I sent an email to get an update. I was then told that our audio from the wedding day was not of good quality (because of the room- no fault to the cinematographers). We then had to record our vows and send them in, which is fine, but it was very frustrating because it led to our video being late. We could have solved it months before if someone reached out to me. I wonder when they would have contacted me about it if I hadn’t taken the initiative to check on our video…
When we finally got our video back late, we were not thrilled. The editing quality was ok, not the best. Also - my worry had come true. There were elements missing that we specifically asked to be included, and also things included that we specifically asked not to be. One of the most shocking things was that my mother in law was not in a single clip. She was not present while we were getting ready, but she was throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Bryson, the owner, addressed our concerns very quickly and got our new video back to us within a few days. Unfortunately, it still only showed my mother in law in one clip.
As a side note, I also thought it was strange that they offered me a “free” boudoir shoot, which after a very long phone call with a member of the team, she told me it would still be thousands of dollars with all of the fees. Just the actual photographer was free…. Very strange and false advertisement. But that is besides the point.
I understand the the video being a week or two late may not affect some people, when you pay way over your budget thinking you will get exceptional service, it is disappointing. Overall, I think Moving Mountains is incredibly overpriced and is taking on more than they can handle. If I were to do it all over, I would use a different company.
I hope this review is constructive and not rude, as I am not one to usually complain.
