Mountainville Manor helped us craft our dream wedding.. it was absolute perfection and beyond what I could've imagined. And I'm not known for exaggerating. Thinking about our wedding, I well up in gratitude for the most beautiful day that was put together to a tee.
There are moments that I believe most people can point to and say "I knew this was it". I felt it when my husband and I were getting to know each other, when I visited the home we now live in, when I tried on the dress that I said yes to, and I remember having distinctly felt it when I visited Mountainville Manor back in December 2020, and met Lauren for the first time. Michael and I took a tour, tasted the food, chatted about having a COVID wedding and what that would look like for us. Then on the drive back, I had said, "this is where we're getting married".
It takes a very special person to be able to instill trust - that you can hand over the many details of this day that you will remember for the rest of your life, and they've got you; they genuinely care, empathize, and will do everything in their power to help you. I encountered this in Lauren and thereby, in her team. Planning this wedding was a wonderful experience because Lauren listened to what we wanted and made suggestions as if she could read our minds. She made wedding planning easier and more enjoyable. A small example: I mentioned wanting honey favors with a "meant to bee" sign and Lauren helped procure adorable glass bear jars, found a local organic honey vendor, and presented the fee for taking care of it all. Simply amazing.
For folks like me out there who take the time to read all these reviews, know that this venue is more than just a business. These people love what they do and are extremely good at it. Chef Craig floored our guests with some of the best food they've ever had at not just any wedding, but in their entire lives. Sally made stunning mocktails for my husband and I who do not drink alcohol, and refreshments and actual cocktails that our guests raved about. James is the man who will fix everything and together with Lauren, they handled the finer points I wouldn't have even thought of. An example: they took care of the outdoor-nature-bug situation so our guests and our food remained safe and happy throughout the entire evening. Another example: they brought over the flower pot displays and cards box from the Ceremony area and guestbook station to our Sweetheart Table during the reception. What a nice touch!
Everything at this manor is just right. The size, the atmosphere, the location.. I loved our getting ready rooms, and having our first look photos taken under the shade of the rotund porch. We had a gorgeous outdoor Ceremony by the gazebo, Cocktail Hour with a display station and passed hors d'oeuvres, and Tented Reception with a five course plated dinner. Our color theme was white and blush with a splash of coral. We were beyond pleased with the table settings, linens, sweetheart table arrangement, and more. My goodness, the cake was delicious - for those who share my flavor palate, I recommend vanilla cake with lemon curd filling, elderflower syrup, and buttercream frosting. You will not regret it.
I cannot thank these kind, thoughtful, and talented people enough. They are truly wonderful. I'm so glad our paths crossed and am so proud of the Wedding we put together. Hopefully, I'll be able to visit soon for another special occasion.Mountainville Manor's reply:

Fall in love at Mountainville Manor
Words cannot express what a fantastic job the management of Mountainville Manor did. If we even paused to think, there was staff ready to help. The food was AMAZING!! The service was even better!
I heard so many positive comments from our guests! Their recommended florist and DJ were incredible! We had such a great time! If you are looking for a venue you won’t be disappointed!!
Lauren and James were on top of every detail… they really cared that everything went as planned!!

Mountainville Manor exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The property is beautiful. The staff wonderful. Lauren and James are fantastic. They really love what they do. So responsive and helpful! Our day was simply perfect and they made sure everything was taken care of!
The food is incredible! Everything is locally sourced and their chef does magic in the kitchen! We couldn’t have hoped for a better meal

From the moment we got out of our car on our first tour of Mountainville Manor, we knew this was the place for us. Lauren and James run the most beautiful venue, and their support is endless. They answered all of our questions, greatly supported us during every single moment of the planning and execution of our perfect day. Their chef is an outstanding award winning chef who walked us through the menu and aided in our food selection choices. As a vegetarian, I didn't have to worry about any of the selections and my (now) husband was able to enjoy wonderful dishes with meat as well. All of our guests raved about the food and the beauty of the property. Everything was so unbelievably gorgeous at Mountainville Manor, and our families loved not just the property, but also the attention to detail, and limitless support. The staff was so fantastic all around and kept us well fed and supplied with drinks all evening - after hearing from other married couples how quick the day goes and how hard it is to prioritize yourself while greeting guests this truly meant the world.

Our son’s wedding ceremony and reception a few weeks ago at Mountainville Manor was outstanding, and the most fun day of my life since my own wedding 35 years ago. When our son and his fiancé started considering wedding venues, I wanted them to look at Mountainville Manor because it is just five minutes from our house and I knew it would be exclusively theirs for the day. When we joined the couple and the mother of the bride for the first meeting and food tasting, I was so impressed with the quality of the food and with the owner Lauren and other staff we met. After considering other venues in New York as well as Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I was thrilled our kids selected our local option. While I wasn’t directly involved in the planning, I know my son and daughter-in-law as well as her mother were very happy with the service and support they were given throughout the planning process and they found Lauren to be very flexible and open to ideas. On the beautiful summer day of the wedding, everything was so lovely and ran flawlessly, from the ceremony outside by the gazebo to the cocktail hour that flowed seamlessly from outside in front of the manor, to the porch, to the two rooms inside, and later to the beautiful reception hall. We were particularly pleased that the chef was willing to accommodate a custom display station during the cocktail hour that served dishes from my husband’s country which many guests was so excited about. For any couple who wants a private, elegant venue for their wedding and the reduced stress by having everything well-coordinated by experienced staff, Mountainville Manor is an excellent choice.Mountainville Manor's reply:

A Truly Remarkable Venue!
My husband and I are beyond thrilled with our experience at Mountainville Manor! In addition to the absolutely stunning grounds and manor, Lauren and James were so, so, SO wonderful to work with. From customizing our wedding package to providing numerous decorations to ensuring our big day ran flawlessly, they truly went above and beyond for us every step of the way. Lauren was incredibly helpful every time I emailed her with yet another question, and she really helped take the stress out of the planning process; at the risk of sounding phony, I actually really loved planning our wedding because Lauren made it so easy! Most importantly, however, she and James were constantly in motion on our wedding day, making sure everything went smoothly. I don’t think I could even begin to count the number of things they took care of in the background that my husband and I hadn’t even thought of leading up to the wedding. We’re grateful for the hard work each and every one of our vendors put into our special day, but we owe Lauren, James, and all the Mountainville Manor staff an extra-special “thank you” for making the day truly magical 😊Mountainville Manor's reply:

We are so glad we had our wedding at Mountainville Manor!
As soon as we visited, we knew that Mountainville was where we wanted to have our wedding. Lauren and James are so warm and professional, and they made us feel like we were special and that our day was a priority for them from the very beginning.
Throughout the planning process, Lauren and James were extremely helpful and responsive. We didn't have a planner, and we really didn't need one with all of Lauren's great guidance. Almost all of the vendors we used were from Mountainville's list of recommended vendors, and they were all outstanding. When we weren't sure about a detail - whether that be timing, or the color of a napkin - Lauren guided us with her incredible talent and eye for design.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. The manor looked beautiful, and we could really enjoy our day as Lauren and James took care of all the details. We're still hearing from our guests about how great the food was.

My wedding at Mountainville Manor was perfect, from the beginning of the planning process to decoration collection the week after. My husband and I are extremely detail-oriented, so making our wedding dreams come true and keeping us calm during the planning process was no small feat for Lauren, James, Chef Craig, and their wonderful team. Whenever we visited the manor, we were greeted by a lovely, talented group of vendors who had all congregated to bring the cake tasting, the drink designing, the flower arranging, the menu curating—everything—to us. On the day of the wedding, the manor looked spectacular. We knew from previous visits that the property was gorgeous and the natural beauty unparalleled, but we didn’t anticipate how many luxurious details we would encounter: my favorite teas waiting in the bridal suite, local pastries in the groom room, a glamorous valet (Sergio!), and so much more. Throughout the wedding, Lauren and James brought our somewhat complicated vision to life flawlessly. Our ceremony involved several processions, a capella choral singing, and an archival-quality document; all were handled with care. And then there was the James Beard Award winning dinner! I will never finish singing Chef Craig’s praises. With such excellent food in front of my guests, it would have been understandable had the bar not measured up—but Sally, Mountainville’s mixologist, is now a legend in my family. She managed to defy the expectations of even my British guests, with her vibrant amethyst Butterfly Peaflower Gin & Tonic, topped with pansies. The highlight of the night came after dinner, when my guests took an outdoor interlude from an intense dance set to gather round Mountainville’s fire pit and enjoy Lauren’s incredible homemade marshmallows at the cutest s’mores station. I could go on, but why bother? I’d only be wasting your time, when you should really be emailing Lauren and James to book your wedding date at Mountainville Manor. -

Thoughtful, attentive, first-rate team & gorgeous location! Highly recommend!
We got married last month (April 2023) at the Mountainville Manor in Mountainville, NY. We're located in the NYC area and we knew we wanted to get married in upstate NY. I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Lauren, James and the Mountainville Manor team (catering staff, mixologist Sally, Chef Craig). Lauren gave us amazing local recommendations for our DJ, photographer, and florist, and she was truly the most valuable person throughout the entire wedding planning process. Lauren was with us every step of the way from the beginning stages promptly answering all of our questions, coordinating a tasting session with Sally for signature cocktails & Denise for our cake selection, assisting with the details and design work that we didn't even know we needed, and expertly bringing everything together as the BEST day-of coordinator. When I found I had a last-minute stain on my dress the night before, Lauren worked her magic to make the spot disappear! Both James and Lauren checked in on us multiple times throughout the evening, making sure that we had drinks, food, and that everything was going well. It's not only Lauren and James either who went above & beyond for us, the whole team worked hard to make our day as special as possible.
We had heard "the food at Mountainville Manor is amazing" before from our vendors, but the food was TRULY spectacular and was even better than we expected -- our guests raved about every course, especially the soup, and the wedding cake as well! The manor, grounds, ballroom, and getting ready spaces were all so beautiful -- it was like a dream, we soaked up every moment of the day with our loved ones and have stunning photos we are so happy with. When Michael and I got engaged, we weren't really certain of the location of our wedding. The idea of a wedding cruise was discussed and toyed with, but it didn't feel right. Although October felt better, November was what we were truly hoping for. As soon as we entered, we both said, "Is this for real? It's gorgeous." We met Lauren and James, the owners, who gave us a tour of the facility, but more significantly, we fell in love with how ardently she cared about giving her customers unforgettable experiences. Although we loved the area, the food, the scenery and the owners (Lauren and James) was the main reason we were so enamored with it. It was at Mountainville Manor that we would celebrate our union.
Mountainville Manor was one of the first and last locations we toured when considering options for where to have our wedding. We were so in love with the place, we couldn’t picture anywhere else to celebrate.
Everything was so meticulously planned and executed from the time we first met to the wedding day that it couldn't have gone any better. The staff was amazing and friendly, and we appreciated seeing how much they enjoyed their work; this is a huge reflection on the company as a whole. We were provided with samples of their meals.
The Mountainville Manor's Lauren, James, and crew did a fantastic job making this event ideal for us. They were incredibly understanding and helpful throughout this trying time. The outdoor wedding ceremony and reception venue were lovely, and the food was excellent. Everything was taken care of for us, so all we had to do was enjoy the evening with our guests.
When we had last-minute modifications leading up to the wedding, Lauren and James were exceedingly accommodating during the planning stage. Due to the pandemic, they were incredibly accommodating in allowing us to reschedule. We decided to hold our reception at the manor. Mountainville Manor did not require a caterer because they had a resident chef and baker who offered their own food alternatives. The ginger-spiced salmon was praised by so many of our guests as being among the best wedding meals they had ever had.
Mountainville Manor was perfect for our wedding and exceeded all of our expectations! The location is very special and lovely, and it was perfect for our special day. I have nothing but praise for Lauren and James; they were wonderful! Lauren was our constant throughout the entire process, even though we reserved the Mountainville Manor well in advance of our scheduled date and there were several adjustments along the way. She was really helpful, answered all of my questions, and went through everything with me. To ensure that our day was amazing and the event was everything we had hoped for, Lauren went above and beyond. She double-checked everything and made sure all the day's details were accurate.
The occasion itself was ideal. Many people have complimented us on how lovely the wedding was, the gorgeous scenery, and how tasty everything was (our guests are still talking about the food days later). Without a doubt, we would advise people to visit Mountainville Manor.
If you’re considering this all inclusive venue, just do it!
James and Lauren, I have to admit that this made me cry. I am very grateful for how our micro-wedding turned out. After difficult times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and you two undoubtedly brought both at once. Yes, Lauren we did luck out with the gorgeous weather!Mountainville Manor's reply:

If you are considering booking Mountainville Manor for your wedding, this is your sign to DO IT!! My husband and I found out about Mountainville Manor from a wedding Facebook page and decided to take a tour. Lauren, the owner was extremely friendly and responsive and booked us in for a tour and food tasting immediately. We loved the whole vibe of the venue and the outdoor ceremony space is beautiful. Lauren gave us a tour of the venue and then we sat down with chef Craig for our food tasting. Craig was extremely knowledgeable and so passionate about what he does. He came out and explained the food pairings to a tee and then selected the perfect wine to go along with our food. Believe me when i tell you the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. My husband and I have never tasted food that good and that's not even an exaggeration. That same day we booked our wedding with Mountainville Manor and everything was a dream from there. Lauren and her husband James communicated with us every step of the way to help plan our perfect day. They were extremely responsive throughout the whole process and were always there to answer my millions of questions. We were not stressed at all through the whole planning process because we felt so confident in Lauren, James and the whole staff, and that was such a great feeling. The day of the wedding came and it couldn't have been more perfect. Sally, who is a true gem, made sure that me, my bridesmaids and my mom had everything we needed all morning and afternoon as we got ready. And then she kept the drinks flowing all night! Lauren and James were also there all day to make sure everything went according to plan. At one point our photobooth vendor was an hour late and we had not heard from them. Lauren immediately ran to call them and find out where they were so that we didn't have to lift a finger or worry about it. We could not have been more happy with every detail of the day. Our guests were (and still are) raving about the venue and how absolutely fantastic all of the food was. Every single day since our wedding we have done nothing but talk about how perfect our wedding day was and we owe it all to Lauren, James, chef Craig, Sally and all the rest of the amazing staff at Mountainville Manor. It was truly the best day of our lives and Mountainville Manor will always have such a special place in our hearts.

I don't even know where to begin. Upon touring Mountainville Manor, Lauren (the owner) was there every step of the way for us. She even welcomed me back for a second viewing and tasting so my dad could be part of the experience when he was unable to join on our first visit. I can't write enough about how much I loved working with Lauren, James, Chef Craig, Sally, and the rest of the team. Lauren and James so responsive when I'd email with a question or needed help with something, Chef made the most delicious food, and Sally's mixology work speaks for itself. We found a family within this team. Let's not forget the cake! Denise, the owner of My Daughters Cakes (who works in partnership with MM) did the most amazing job, and I was absolutely blown away by how gorgeous it was and how delicious it tasted. I could not have had the most fairytale day without any of the aforementioned people, and I am truly sad our day is over because it was pure magic. My (now) husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience at the Mountainville Manor. First of all, Lauren is absolutely amazing at what she does. She was with us every step of the way and you can tell she loves what she does. She always responded to our endless questions and made sure we felt supported throughout the process, from start to end. When you plan your first (hopefully last) wedding, there's so many things to account for and she has it down to the T. The fact that Mountainville Manor is an all inclusive venue made planning that much more simple. The food, drinks, and service is amazing. Every wedding I've been to was beautiful, but the food.. not so much. My husband and I are huge foodies so having great food at our wedding was a must. From the hors d'oeuvres, the entrees, to even the cucumber water (not kidding), everything is delicious. I would go back just to dine when I get the chance! Also, Sally the bartender is AMAZING. She is a magestic alcoholic wizard. Her drinks are delicious and you can have as many as you want with NO hangover because she uses fresh ingredients without artificial sweeteners. You and your guests can have a great time without feeling like cr@p the next day. Do yourself a favor and book with Mountainville Manor. Mountainville Manor did an impeccable, top notch job on our wedding day helping ,us achieve our dream wedding with ease . Their venue is just so gorgeous and well kept. They made our wedding and us with our family and friends feel so special on our day. The food was fantastic, the service was beautiful. I would highly recommend and suggest them to any couple that is looking for an quiet beautiful mountain side victorian , romantic feel. I loved it so much ! -

We loved Mountainville Manor from our first visit and chose it immediately for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The venue was perfect for our needs (we had an 80 person wedding with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception). The location was perfect, located about 2 hours away from NYC in the Hudson Valley. Our guests loved the food, prepared by the amazing Chef Craig Shelton. The owners, Lauren and James, were wonderful. They were incredibly responsive from the beginning and were so easy to work with. They anticipated all of our needs and I cannot say enough good things about them. Not only are they excellent at what they do, but they are extremely warm and kind people as well. We would highly recommend Mountainville Manor to anyone planning a wedding in the Hudson Valley! -

My son's wedding
From rehearsal dinner, wedding party brunch, and ceremony/reception, the entire wedding experience was delightful, worry-free, and a joyful celebration for the couple, the families, and all guests. Literally no one had the slightest complaint. Pretty unusual in most wedding experiences.
The venue is idyllic, the beverages unique and expertly prepared, and the food an exquisite adventure for the tastebuds.
As the groom's mom, I can't praise Lauren and her entire staff enough for their professionalism and absolutely courteous cooperation and helpfulness. They graciously allowed us to add our personal touches in so many aspects of the event.
I am recommending this venue to any couple I know looking for a perfect venue for their once-in-a- lifetime event. Every moment will bring smiles and beautiful memories.

I highly recommend choosing mountainville manor for your wedding. Not only was my experience fantastic as the bride, but I also received so many compliments from our guests. Their top feedback was on how excellent the food was (several people told me it was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding), the beautiful location and the attentive and friendly staff. I echo their feedback, and also from my perspective as a bride, Lauren just made the process so easy, from the very beginning. She has such good attention to every detail and gave me great advice along the way. James is a joy to work with, and Megan was so helpful with decorating (she has such a good eye for that) and coordinating the rehearsal and bridal party procession. Our wedding was so much fun, and it added such a nice vibe throughout the day to have access to the entire manor and the outdoor space as well. Where does one begin? Lauren, James and their entire team (especially Rockstar Megan and Mixologist Sally) helped make our wedding day spectacular, to say the least. Lauren was wonderful to work with and extremely attentive to all of our needs and even our wants -- going as far as offering to help with things that were not in her role to do, but out of kindness and the desire to make our day special really went out of her way, genuinely always wanting to help. Each time I sent her a message, she would respond quickly and would always find ways to make things work in our favor and safe, especially considering this was very much still a pandemic-time wedding. She and James also went as far as to make sure that Wi-Fi extenders were installed so that we could host our wedding ceremony outdoors by the gazebo for our virtual guests who were streaming to watch, which definitely helped us share the intimate moment with our loved ones who couldn't be there in person. Mountainville Manor's grounds are well-maintained and manicured which gave our photographer / videographer team easy, but great backdrops to work with for our portraits. The ballroom was well-equipped with a nice sound system that our DJ was able to take advantage of. Our guests absolutely loved the food and drinks and the cake was perfect! We also had the entire venue to ourselves for the day which made things, like getting ready, so much more convenient and simple -- even for the groom! Mountainville Manor will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we absolutely recommend this to all couples looking for a gorgeous space, stunning ambiance, delicious food and drinks and an incredible staff that will make your wedding day a beautiful breeze with beautiful memories to last a lifetime! Perfect venue
Words cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Mountainville Manor is. We got married there last night and we’be been planning with them since the summer. Every step of the way Lauren and James have been so helpful. They try to accommodate every part of your dream wedding. You can’t beat their all inclusive microwedding packages! So much is included leaving you with much less to plan and much less stress! The food is amazing and the chef will accommodate your food allergies and preferences. He made me a delicious special vegan dish for my big day. The cake was beautiful and tasty. Waitstaff and bartender were so attentive and nice. Everything was perfect. Thanks to Lauren, James, and their team. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much! -

Wedding reception
Beautiful time was had by all on Saturday 10/17/20. What a wonderful venue mountainville manor is
The food was exceptional and Lauren and her staff were great. Whatever we needed or wanted was delivered. Friend's and family are still talking about a wonderful time they had. The day was gorgeous and sunny and we were able to take pictures outside at the gazebo. The grounds are beautiful. Would highly recommend mountainville manor for your celebration. -

Dream Wedding
My wife and I had the most wonderful wedding at Mountainville Manor and we could not have been happier with our choice of venue. From the beginning, Lauren and James helped us with every step of the process and were always so responsive to all our questions. Despite the weather not cooperating, we had a beautiful ceremony in the ballroom and a tented reception that looked magical with the string lights and floral displays. We got so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful and unique our wedding was. We also got countless compliments on the food and cocktails. We particularly appreciated that a staff member was assigned to keeping tabs on us all day long to make sure we were fed, hydrated, and comfortable. It was truly one of the best days of our lives and we will forever remember Mountainville Manor fondly!Mountainville Manor's reply:

Do NOT be fooled - Mountainville Manor (MM) is a beautiful and unique venue, but you will be signing up for indifferent owners, inexperienced and unprofessional staff, and zero personal touch on your wedding day.
Venue seems to just care about churning out weddings - absolutely no care for the bride and groom. I sent the owners an email before posting my reviews on different platforms, explaining how disappointed I was - they can't even be bothered to respond or apologize. Save your $20K.
We were so excited to book MM on a very popular month (we got married October 7, 2022), that we gave our deposit one week after the initial tour and menu tasting.
All customer service pretty much stopped there. After the initial payment, I honestly didn't hear back from Lauren unless I was the one reaching out, scheduling the next time we meet in person, or scheduling Zoom calls because we were at a distance. There was no communication initiated by Lauren or James unless it was time to pay them.
In the 15 months we planned our wedding, we spoke to Lauren only TWICE on the phone and only ONCE in-person to determine our signature cocktail. During this tasting, we worked with their ONLY main bartender, Sally, who was rude, loud, and obnoxious during our tasting. When my now husband called her out on it, she literally stormed out of the venue stomping like a 5 year old child.
The fiasco during our signature cocktail tasting found its way to our wedding day: we did not want Sally as our bartender and because they don't have another bartender, they contracted out bartenders for our wedding day who did not make the same cocktails - not even close - and who were rude, unprofessional, not friendly whatsoever, and did NOT want to be there.
Below are some of the other horrible experiences we had working with MM owners:
- Heard multiple people comment on Lauren's negative and rude attitude including our parents, groomsmen, bridesmaids, and many different guests who commented on how uncomfortable and unwelcome she made them feel
-Lauren LEAVES the venue at 8:30p - our wedding ends at 10pm
-Lauren FORGETS my ring bearer and flower girl's signs for the ceremony even though I provided those to her two nights before and a list of items that needs to be used during the wedding
-Waitstaff wrapped the top tier of our cake in JUST tin foil and ruined it
-Lauren or James - nowhere to be found during the ceremony - did not give our officiant a chance to make introductions
- Coffee and Tea came out late, if at all

We were so disappointed to read the review that you posted. We and our entire team care deeply about the experience of all couples as indicated in all of our other reviews. We have addressed your complaints below.
Lauren’s customer service was continuous and she responded to each email and text throughout the wedding planning process with treads of nearly 100 emails and texts regarding all aspects of your wedding and due to your distance we coordinated special cake and signature cocktail tastings for you. Your last text to her stated… “thank you so much for an amazing wedding! Everything was beautiful! One thing, I think I forgot a pair of orange slippers … “ And she responded to that text as well.
During the day of your signature cocktail tasting, Lauren was working with another couple on their wedding rehearsal. You and your husband came and sat at the bar with Sally our mixologist to taste and select a signature cocktail. After Lauren said goodbye to the other couple, she was in the kitchen talking to one of our chefs when your husband burst into the kitchen complaining about Sally. Lauren asked him to step outside to discuss because he was screaming. He continued to scream and swear at Lauren inches from her face that Sally won’t shut the f— up. Lauren remained calm, and at that point both yourself and James were outside. Your husband then proceeded to tell us that Sally was very unprofessional because she mentioned that her dog had just died. He then screamed at Lauren that he doesn’t need to hear about her f—ing dead dog. Our chefs heard the yelling and watched it from the kitchen window. We proceeded to have you come back into the ballroom to pick out your linens in an attempt to deescalate and calm your husband. Sally walked through the ballroom and Lauren asked you to stop talking about her in order to avoid having your husband yell at her, as Sally had not done anything that deserved such treatment.
We met Sally only 2 years ago when we hired her to be our mixologist, she is a beloved employee and has become an integral part of the our team and the Mountainville Manor family. The only thing she is guilty of is being overly excited about making our couples their signature cocktails, as can be read in all of our other reviews! She is passionate about what she does and does talk a lot about how each one is made and the ingredients she uses. She is thorough in answering questions. It does take time because each cocktail is detailed. Your husband told her multiple times to “shut the f— up”, so she did eventually walk out. If either one of us was present, we would not have allowed an employee to be cursed at in that manner, under any circumstances. You also made a point to tell James that your husband made an analogy to Sally about hitting her and that you wanted to make sure we understood that was not meant as a threat, although it could be construed as one.
Your husband specifically indicated that he did not want Sally to be a bartender at your wedding and we accommodated this request. We did not contract out bartenders we did not know, we staffed 2 bartenders that have both worked many times at the Manor before under Sally’s guidance. We have never had any experience of either of them being rude, unprofessional, or unfriendly. The day before your wedding Sally batched out the signature cocktails and they were tested and approved by both of us. They were spot on to what you had tasted and selected as your signature cocktails.
Either James or I or both of us stay until the end of every event. If we have an early wedding the next day, one of us may leave but one of us is always there. I did leave at 8:30 pm and James stayed. I came up to you and your husband congratulated you and told you that I was leaving and that James was there for you both. You both embraced me and told me how wonderful everything was. You told me how wonderful everything was several times.
Our apologies, my assistant did forget the flower girls signs, that was an oversight.
As I emailed to you before, we do not wrap anniversary cakes. You had opted to get a fresh anniversary cake from our baker, on your one year anniversary. So, although the top tier of your wedding cake was for service that night, Lauren set it aside and personally wrapped it as leftover cake for you to enjoy at home the days after your wedding. Lauren explained this to you in a previous email. Your cake was a naked cake with gold foil so it is all intact with just the foil indentations.
We had a rehearsal the day before your wedding, including with the officiant. The day of your wedding Lauren escorted everyone and you out of the Manor for your ceremony. She lined everyone up and then took her place on the round of the porch giving instructions to your bridal party when to walk. James was on the grassy area cueing the music. Neither of us attended the ceremony once it started, we do not attend the ceremony itself.
