I can’t say enough good things about Morningside Inn! It was the absolute perfect location for my daughter’s wedding. Besides the outer grounds being so idyllic, the inside of the inn was also just beautiful. One of the best things about Morningside is the list of vendors they regularly work with. We were planning a very spur-of-the-moment wedding — from engagement to married in 2 months! — and I don’t know how we would have done it without Morningside and their list of vendors! It just made the whole thing so easy. We worked with Flowers by Wendy Carol, James Bonato videographer, Melanie at Retrospect Designs photographer and Sage Cakery. All 5 stars.

At Morningside, Rachael so graciously answered our many questions leading up to the event. And Shannon on the day of was absolutely indispensable. She offered a very calm and grounding presence that was much appreciated! Even the bartenders and other staff were just right on point. I highly recommend Morningside Inn! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Choosing Morningside Inn as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. The entire experience—from planning to the final moments of our celebration—was absolutely flawless. The team at Morningside Inn went above and beyond to create a day that felt effortless for us, while impressing our family and guests at every turn.

The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious—many of our guests are still raving about the quality of the meal and how well it was served. It was clear that the culinary team takes great pride in their work, and it elevated our reception to something truly memorable.

The setting of Morningside Inn is breathtaking. Surrounded by rolling hills and open fields, the lush grass and wide outdoor views created a serene, natural backdrop that was both romantic and timeless. Our ceremony and photos felt as if they were part of a living landscape, and the natural beauty of the venue made everything feel intimate and unique.

We also want to recognize the incredible work of the staff behind the scenes. The internal décor was thoughtful, elegant, and beautifully arranged—every detail reflected care and artistry. From the ceremony space to the reception area, everything felt cohesive and polished. The team was attentive, organized, and genuinely caring, making sure that the day unfolded seamlessly so we could relax and enjoy every moment.

Our family and guests were truly impressed by every aspect of Morningside Inn. The combination of exceptional food, a stunning outdoor setting, and a supportive, detail-oriented staff made our wedding day unforgettable. 15 years ago it was my dream to get married here and I’m happy to say on 10/21/22, my dream became a reality! The staff is amazing and very accommodating with my husbands dairy allergy! The view will take your breath away!!! Can’t recommend this venue enough!

We visited the Morningside Inn a year ago and chose it immediately for my daughter's wedding. One huge factor was that she could get married (indoors or outdoors) and have the wedding reception all in one place. My daughter was having a "Christmas" wedding and the venue was already completely decorated which was another huge factor. It was gorgeous! We had to change the wedding date due to Covid-19 and they could not have been more accomodating. We had Sharon as our coordinator and she was a true blessing. She paid special attention to detail and offered suggestions that made our day run much smoother. To say she was wonderful would be an understatement. The venue owner (Mrs. Cochran) is a remarkable woman who takes pride in her venue and is also available to answer questions or address concerns. I would choose this venue over and over again. They have staff available on the big day to take care of every need. They served my elderly in-laws at their table and helped get them where they needed to be. I highly recommend this venue and encourage anyone looking for a stress-free facility to choose Morningside. You will be ecstatic with the care and service you receive! 100% satisfied!

My husband and I were married at Morningside on 10/13/2019 and I would highly recommend this venue. From our first initial tour to our rehearsal our planning coordinator was super helpful and attentive. Having a coordinator included with the venue was what set Morningside apart from other places. Our coordinator ensured all of the planning and our actual day went smoothly. It was so nice not having to worry about all of the little details on the day of. The food and drinks were delicious and we still have family and friends talking about how beautiful the venue grounds were. I would highly recommend Morningside and my husband and I will look back on our wedding day fondly thanks to them.

We decided to have the cerimony and the reception at Morningside Inn. The food was absolutely amazing! We got the chicken stuffed with cherries and spinach. Let me tell you I have never tasted anything like it.
Our wedding coordinator was a doll, so sweet, and amazing, Melissa was. They did their best to keep me at ease before we walked out for the ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone.

Morningside Inn is a gem in Frederick - stunningly beautiful, both interior and landscape. The staff is excellent and the food was delicious. Our coordinators were professional and a great resource. The day of the wedding was seamless thanks to Shannon and the Morningside Inn staff. Our special day was wonderful largely thanks to their efforts.
We did our engagement photoshoot at the venue in the fall and our wedding was in the summer - there are so many great spots at Morningside Inn and there were plenty of opportunities for scenery change. We worked with Lauren at the beginning and she is on top of it like a pro. Then we were assigned to Shannon - she definitely knows what she's doing and also was able to help keep me calm which is a feat!
We also did a menu tasting prior to our wedding where we met the chef - he was great and receptive to feedback. I was impressed. He was flexible and accommodating to our vegetarian and vegan friends.
Overall, we had a great experience with Morningside Inn and highly recommend it for your wedding day! :)

I chose Morningside because of all that is included at the venue plus the beautiful views there. The food was delicious and Lauren was my coordinator and she was fantastic, very professional and calming. I really liked that they had the option to go inside for the ceremony in case of bad weather. They are very well organized and make the wedding run very smoothly and without issues. I could not have asked for a better place to get married!

Lauren made everything so easy. We basically just had to show up and enjoy ourselves! We got so many compliments about the beautiful venue and also the food. Some said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The Chef, Tim, even worked with us on a special hors d'oeuvres that turned out amazingly delicious! Thanks again Lauren, Tim, and the whole staff!

I cannot day enough about this place. Not only was Lauren the BEST person I have ever worked with in any event/situation, she calmed me every step of the way. She answered all of my questions, went over things numerous times until I felt comfortable, and the day of she made sure I had my fairytale wedding. This inn is perfect, with the rolling hills and the pond, the stone walls, the two level building with the brick back walkways, it all made for a perfect wedding. I want to do it all over again every weekend

Everything about Morningside Inn was more than spectacular! From the day we first met with them down to the day of, they were absolutely amazing. Melissa, our wedding coordinator, was on top of every detail, and was extremely helpful and prompt with all communication. The setting of the venue is breathtaking and we got so many compliments on the venue itself as well as the top notch service. As a bride, I did not have to think or stress about anything that day. I got to just have the best time of my life, this was all thanks to them!

The absolute best decision I made for my wedding was booking at Morningside Inn. They made the entire planning process easy and seamless, and the day of my wedding was completely magical thanks to their staff. We got tons of compliments on the beauty of the venue, the food, and how seamless the entire ceremony and reception were. Special shout out to Lauren who was absolutely wonderful to work with - SO responsive and amazingly good at what she does. If you are on the fence about Morningside Inn as a wedding venue, book with them! You will not regret it!

This venue is absolutely amazing! The staff there is so helpful and they are so good at making your wedding day go smoothly and exactly as you have envisioned. The food is great, there are lots of options and the staff is great about making sure the bride and groom get to eat.

I can't say enough about how fabulous the Morningside staff are! We started our planning experience with coordinator, Lauren and she was so great at answering my questions and covering every detail in booking the venue. Later, we got coordinator, Melissa who helped the day of our wedding as well. She was also incredible! So attentive, made sure everything flowed smoothly, kind, and just all around so great. The entire staff were professional and helpful. All of our guests raved about our venue and how incredible it was!! Beautiful setting and perfect experience for a reasonable price!!!

I am the kind of person who does their research before doing anything. I met with at least two vendors for every aspect of my wedding including the venue. Let me just say that Morningside Inn (and their coordinators) know exactly what they are doing. They were able to take my wedding vision and make it even better than I could have imagined. The indoor outdoor options are great especially because weather is one aspect of a wedding that you can’t control! The coordinator took so much stress off of me before the wedding, at the rehearsal, and especially on the actual wedding day. I was able to sit back and enjoy my wedding day! Our coordinator was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the view speaks for itself. I highly recommend booking with Morningside and if you are on the fence then you NEED to go visit.

Working with Lauren and the staff at Morningside Inn was the best decision we could have made. Lauren handled everything and made our day seamless. The food was delicious and everything looked exactly as I had imagined. Our day would not have been as amazing without Lauren and the staff at Morningside. The venue is also BEAUTIFUL!

My husband and I were beyond thrilled with our wedding at Morningside Inn. From the very beginning, we felt completely at ease and knew that we were in good hands with Lauren and Shannon. We fell in love with Morningside's scenery and the rustic vibe of the interior but were increasingly impressed with how accommodating the whole Morningside staff was. We especially appreciated how low pressure our booking experience was and the transparency of their pricing. Morningside provides you with a detailed spreadsheet of their pricing model so that you can see exactly how much everything will cost and play with the cost of different dinner service, bar, and hors d'oeuvres levels. Weddings are expensive but at no point did we ever feel like we were being up sold or pressured to spend more than we felt comfortable with.

Our wedding coordinator was Shannon and all during the planning she was very responsive, helpful, and flexible. It seemed every request we made, Shannon was happy to oblige. We were blown away on our wedding day by how smoothly everything went. Shannon and her staff kept the evening running along perfectly. Furthermore, Shannon and her team set up all of our decor beautifully and then reused our ceremony decor and centerpieces in ways we never imagined through out the evening. We used large lanterns to frame the "alter" and after the ceremony, they put one on our donut display. They also brought our centerpieces downstairs for the reception portion of the evening to decorate tables and the bar area. It looked like a million bucks. At the end of the evening, they packed it all up for us so that all we had to do was load it into cars. It was these little touches that made us feel like the Morningside staff really cared that we had the best wedding possible. And we did! I would recommend Morningside to every bride and groom!

Morningside Inn was the best decision we could have made for our wedding in August of 2017. We live in Morgantown, WV and a lot of family live in Baltimore, MD so we were looking for somewhere somewhat in the middle for our wedding. I found Morningside on a random google search and the pictures intrigued me. On a whim one day in the Spring of 2016 we drove by, and we were SO excited. The venue is absolutely beautiful ! Me and my husband thought it would be the perfect fit for us. We set up a meeting with Lauren at Morningside and went through logistics, cost, etc. Lauren is AMAZING and broke everything down into an excel document. We loved that so much was customizable and that Lauren was always so quick to respond to questions via email. We visited one other venue in Frederick the same day , and we stayed for about 10 minutes and walked out- Morningside Inn was IT for us. In order to get a Saturday evening wedding, we chose a date in August of 2017. We were worried about the weather in August and planning an outdoor ceremony, but Lauren put us at ease - there are options and plenty of staff at Morningside if the weather does not cooperate. The food tasting in the Spring was wonderful. We chose the buffet with 3 entrees and our guests raved about the food!
We lucked out and the day was absolutely perfect! 70 degree weather and sunny. We have heard so many wonderful comments about the venue from our guests. The setup (dinner upstairs, dancing downstairs , and ceremony outside) was different than any other wedding we have been to, but everything went seamlessly. Our officiant and Lauren, our planner, worked great together at the rehearsal and the day of. We have beautiful pictures out in the fields and the grounds crew at morningside keeps everything beautiful at all times of the year (we visited during every season throughout the planning process).
If you choose Morningside Inn for your wedding, you will not be disappointed! It was worth every penny.

Morningside Inn was everything we could have asked for and more in a venue for our wedding! First off, the setting of the venue is absolutely stunning. We opted to have both our ceremony and reception at Morningside. Morningside offers both an outdoor and an indoor ceremony option. Ours wound up being inside since the weather did not cooperate, but the ceremony and backdrop was still gorgeous and everything we hoped for. Another nice bonus is the weather contingency can be decided the day of the ceremony (some other places we looked at required at least 24 hours notice). On to the food....they have a chef on site and offer both a buffet and plated option. The food is DELICIOUS and so many guests raved about it the day of. There are a lot of options to choose from both in appetizers and entrees, and were very accommodating for some guests that had dietary restrictions. Now for the main reason we chose Morningside; on top of the gorgeous views and delicious food, you get a wedding coordinator assigned to you that helps you out throughout the wedding planning process and takes care of EVERYTHING and beyond the day of the ceremony and reception. There are not enough good things that we could say about being assigned to Lauren. Lauren was AMAZING and kept me sane throughout everything. She was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had during the planning process and made sure any and all details were taken care of before the day of the wedding. The day of the ceremony, Lauren and her team made sure I had no worries and that everything was coordinated and ran smoothly. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Frederick area, please do yourself a favor and visit Morningside Inn. They provided the perfect place for our wedding, and my husband and I could not have been happier!

Our wedding at the Morningside Inn was absolutely magical and by far the best day ever! Lauren was our wedding coordinator. She’s very responsive and helpful. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The long driveway with beautiful scenery is a must have for your wedding. The bridal suite is spacious and the groom’s suite is, too! Throughout the wedding, my guests kept telling me how delicious the food was! We had the feta chicken and London broil. Family members said they would drive there again just for the food!!! That’s so important because you don’t want your guests to go hungry or be dissatisfied with the food. The Morningside Inn was very accommodating and Lauren has a lot of experience in the business. She made the overwhelming details super easy! I highly recommend this venue. Go see it for yourself! The venue practically sells itself and the coordinator is just the “icing on the cake!” I’ve gotten so many compliments on this venue. Who wouldn’t want 300 acres all to themselves for their special day? We could party and not worry about a thing! Hands down, the Morningside Inn is the best venue in the Frederick area!

Morningside came with no surprises, and were so accommodating and easy to work with! From our initial walkthrough and questions, to the menu tasting, to the emailing about all the little details, everything worked out just as we planned. The venue itself was fantastic - more than enough room for our 90-person wedding, with enough bathrooms, ramps, and views to satisfy everyone - and the people and waitstaff were excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! No details were overlooked, and even though we had a schedule and itinerary for the night, everyone was flexible. As a bride, I felt as though I could just take it all in, and didn't feel rushed from one guest to the next, or from one place to the next. The bridal and groom suites were so large, and had more than enough room for all the mingling that took place. Overall, it's worth every penny spent!

The moment we stepped foot on this property we knew it was going to be the perfect setting for our perfect day and we could not have been more right! First, the views are out of this world. You will have the best photos ever (use Lanie at Crystal Lenz-she’s on site and knows the perfect spots and does an incredible job)! Our guests loved the food - Chef Tim makes some amazing crab cakes! Katie, our coordinator, was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and kept everything on point the day of. If you want to worry about nothing except having a great time on your wedding day, definitely consider morningside inn. They have such a smooth operation.

Morningside Inn did a fantastic job for our wedding on September 2. Shannon was fantastic and made sure we had everything we wanted. The weather unfortunately was not our friend for the ceremony but Shannon and the morningside crew went above and beyond to ensure our indoor ceremony was ever better than we could have expected.

This was the first thing I booked for our wedding, and quite possibly the best. Lauren at Morningside was the most incredible asset. She helped to plan every little detail and executed flawlessly. The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the service is unbeatable. This is a great option for your wedding!

We loved having our wedding at Morningside Inn! The guests raved about the food, the bar staff way beyond friendly, and the views and scenery are breathtaking! Mostly, Lauren made our experience smooth and wonderful. She went above and beyond to make our day perfect, and was so helpful during the process! She kept our bridal party of 16 organized the whole day and was helpful with our two young little girls! So happy to ha e chosen this venue!

Lauren and the staff at Morningside were extremely helpful and attentive and they took care of everything from setting up the decorations to packaging them back up at the end of the night. The venue is beautiful and I really liked the two-floor approach (dinner upstairs, dancing downstairs) - it really gave us more room to move around and dance during the reception. Would definitely recommend to other brides!

Everything about Morningside is fantastic.
The views. The food. The people. Lauren made planning my wedding super easy. She was by my side the entire time and made sure everything went flawlessly. The owner was even behind the bar. This is a great place to get married and you won't have to worry about a thing.

The only thing I would say is do not hire the on-site florist. It was a nightmare. She delivered dead flowers and my bouquet was nothing like I asked for. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Lauren and the rest of the team handled the dilemma wonderfully. They even cut flowers from their own gardens to make things look a little more alive.

Lauren did such a fabulous job with our wedding. All of our guests loved the venue and said it was one of the most phone weddings they have been to! We cannot be happier with how Lauren set everything up and how she kept everything moving! THANK YOU!!!! We are excited to go back as guests for our friends wedding in a week which Lauren is also in charge of!

When we first started planning our wedding, we thought we couldn't afford a venue that required us to use their catering. After being involved with a scandal at the original wedding venue we had picked and were forced to find a new venue for our wedding, we landed at Morningside Inn. They blew us out of the water with everything. They understood how horrible the situation was and helped make it as smooth as possible. YOU EVEN GET A WEDDING PLANNER INTO THE COST! It's crazy affordable and they helped make the big day SO much less stressful than it could have been if we ended up doing it all DIY. They're extremely professional, respond to emails and questions immediately, and were very flexible in understanding our situation and making the day fit us. Their catering was out of this world and the venue is straight out of a magazine beautiful. I mean absolutely stunning. As soon as we were finished with the ceremony, they had complimentary drinks. Everything about the day was incredible and I am so thankful that our "Plan B" was better than we could have expected.

We had a wonderful experience with Morningside Inn. They were really helpful in getting all of the details squared away for the ceremony/reception. They asked questions about things that we hadn't thought about and were able to give suggestions when we weren't sure what direction to go in. The food was wonderful and many of our guests commented on it. They also loved the location which was so picturesque. Many of our guests took advantage of the landscape to take walks around the lake or down to the willow tree. It was wonderful that we had a great indoor space for the reception but guests could relax outside when they got too hot from dancing inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the day, I felt completely relaxed and Mary took care of everything. There were no problems and I was never bothered with minute details- I was really allowed to enjoy my wedding. I would highly recommend Morningside Inn!

We got married at Morningside Inn 6/13/2015. I can't say nice enough things about this place. We approached morning-side 4 months ago after our wedding venue fell through. We were in a panic! We had lost thousands of dollars in deposits. Our baker, Photographer and Minister were all only available for 6/13. What were the chances that this place could accommodate 4 months out? To our surprise not only was the date available but the cost was more than reasonable! Shannon was our wedding coordinator and she immediately made me feel at ease. She took care of everything and gave me so many great suggestions. So in 4 months we pulled off the wedding of our dreams and our friends and family have been buzzing about it ever since. The view is breathtaking, the staff is top notch & the food was so good! The wedding went more perfectly than we could have hoped for. With Shannon's expert help and Morningside's A+ staff, we pulled off the classiest Rustic Super Hero Wedding anyone could have hoped for. Morningside Inn was the PERFECT location to celebrate such a special day in our lives. From the very first time my fiancé (now husband) and I walked in to the tour the venue until the last song was played at the reception, we were treated like family. Wedding planning can be stressful, but there really aren't enough words to convey the pleasure it was to work with Lauren and the entire Morningside Staff. They honestly made every moment enjoyable. Lauren and I hit it off right away and working with her honestly made me (a highly detail oriented planner, verging on obsessive ;) calm and collected by the time the big day rolled around. I worried about nothing with Lauren in my corner.

The beauty of this spot is hard to compare. Just look at the pictures, it speaks for itself.

The menu is fantastic and the chef was willing to work with us on modifying our selections, which was much appreciated. (We selected the chicken breast w/feta and sun-dried tomatoes. While I thought it was delicious, we realized feta is an acquired taste. They accommodated us by leaving the feta on the side… perfect! We also selected the “to die for” London Broil.)

My husband and I loved the concept of the two floors, keeping the dinner on a separate level from the “party”. Don’t let this discourage you. We both have elderly grandparents and they managed just fine between a wheelchair and/or the ramp outside, if needed.

It’s a wedding… nothing is going to run exactly as perfect as you envision it, but Morningside does such an amazing job of assuming the responsibility of keeping you on track without making you feel like your special day is a schedule that needs to be abided by. The staff is there when you need them, yet not hovering over you or your guests.

In closing, it is easy to see the beauty of this venue. But it’s really the service and professionalism that will keep me boasting for years to come. Our wedding day would not have been the same any place else.

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. The wedding turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend Morningside Inn and wedding venue. Morningside Inn offered an affordable, wonderful and easy experience for our wedding. Our wedding coordinator (Lauren) was FANTASTIC. Morningside provides a coordinator for free, and they really help iron all the details with you so it's one less thing to worry about. They also don't get you with ridiculous fees. Everything is very straight forward, and the location is beautiful, no matter what season of the year you choose. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

After having officiated many wedding ceremonies at Morningside Inn, I can say that It has been a pleasure each time to be a part of a couple's celebration in such a beautiful location. In the winter with the snow covered hills and valley, to the bright green grass in the summer with the fountain spray in the background, it is simply a wonderful setting for a special celebration. Every detail, from the rehearsal to the wedding day is given special attention with a great attitude, expertise and professionalism. From the refreshments before the wedding to the wonderfully presented and delicious meal for the reception, everything is given the utmost care.

It has been my pleasure to dine with owners Roger and Jeanie Cochran during one of these ceremonies, and work with their excellent and experienced coordinators, Sales Director Lauren Conklin and Shannon Stanton, as well as Chef Tim Erfourth and the gracious first point of contact Teresa Martin. A great team, providing a great experience.

We worked with Shannon for the majority of our experience and we absolutely loved her! She really helped to coordinate and organize the day to the tee! The Morningside Inn was the perfect venue and we had the perfect coordinator to match! The entires team was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns, the service was great durning dinner and the food was absolutely amazing. All our guests definitely let us know how great the Morningside was!

Words cannot express how flexible and supportive Lauren was! She was one of the nicest people we worked with. She was overly accommodating with us and we really appreciated that. We originally had a Friday evening booked for our wedding. Several months later, we realized there was no way we could afford it. We contacted Lauren at Morningside and she was so understanding. Rather than just canceling the event, she asked us for our budget and she gave us other options in order to stay within our budget. We were so thankful for that because we couldn't picture our wedding anywhere else! We moved our event to a Friday afternoon and we lowered the minimum number of guests. Lauren was so flexible as she allowed us to have a cocktail reception rather than a sit down meal. This really helped stay within the budget! She was very prompt via phone and email which was awesome. I always felt like I was over contacting but she did not mind at all! We changed a few things last minute an she was totally fine with it! On the day of, the staff was very professional and helpful. Everything was set up just as we imagined! We were able to have mimosas while getting ready which was great :) Lauren was super organized and made everything go smoothly. She was also so supportive and kept asking how we were doing and she definitely helped us relax and enjoy the day. She was constantly making sure we had food and drinks. Overall, Lauren made our day so special and we can't imagine it any other way :) We thank her and Morningside very much!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about Morningside Inn. First of all, it's absolutely gorgeous. All our guests commented on how beautiful it was, inside and out. Our coordinator, Shannon, was extremely responsive while we were planning. She answered all our questions and helped us get the most value for our money. When it came to the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I didn't have to worry about anything but getting ready; Shannon had the whole day under control. When we were finished with the ceremony, they brought us back to the bride's room and had cold drinks waiting for us. During the pictures, our guests got to relax and unwind with drinks and a mini muffin/fruit tray (we had a morning ceremony). The food was delicious; I highly recommend the champagne chicken and the potatoes dauphinoise, and they really listened to my husband when he asked for crispy bacon. After brunch, we went back downstairs for the festivities, and we ended the day with a nice send-off. No wedding is perfect, but the people at Morningside Inn made ours just about as close as you can get!

A beautiful venue! Everything was perfect! Our planner was Shannon. Thank god for her!! She was beyond amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.

The staff at Morningside Inn including our wedding coordinator, chef, and DJ were professional and helpful as we prepared for the wedding. The wedding ceremony, reception, food and drink, music and service were all lovely. Many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed themselves and I believe that is the best indication of how well the evening was executed.

I am so glad I found The Morningside Inn! It was everything I dreamt of in terms of my wedding venue. The grounds are so beautiful and the landscaping is impeccable. They absolutely thought of everything when designing the layout of the inn; from the separate bride and groom's room to the gorgeous patio for the ceremony.

Lauren Schmidt was so professional and responsive. They provide so many different options to work with any budget. The food was delicious!

We had our wedding on a Sunday afternoon (costs less!) and worked with Shannon as our coordinator. After having a bad experience at another venue we were considering, walking into Morningside was like a breath of fresh air. They treated us VERY well, especially considering we are a lesbian couple in a state that only recently recognized our union as legal. They treated us as they would any couple, working closely with us to make sure we were able to go to a tasting, choose the colors and experience we wanted, and find vendors that work well at their venue.

The day of our wedding was flawless. Shannon took care of everything. We had champagne before the ceremony, drinks waiting for us after, and snacks both before and after. We were taken care of at every turn. They even made sure that we were able to have a signature drink of white sangria. I never had to worry about anything. We discussed every detail well in advance and had a nice rehearsal the Thursday before. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had my wedding at Morningside Inn on October 26th and it was just amazing. From the moment you walk into the bridal suite to when you leave at night (get a shuttle!) Lauren made the whole day flawless and enjoyable. I used the vendors at Morningside for my photography and florist and both were phenomenal! Everyone involved in the wedding was personable and made you feel the entire time they were working hard to make your day unique and special for you.

A perfect wedding setting!! anytime of year, its always gorgeous. The staff if always so attentive, food is phenomenal. The staff is so easy to work with and since everything is right there, it was completely stress free, which made the day so perfect and memorable. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were highly capable, professional, calm and friendly. I really can't recommend this place highly enough! Our wedding planner was Lauren and from the get-go when we told her we wouldn't be able to choose a wedding date until my Irish fiancé got his visa, she worked with us to make the whole wedding process 1) easy and 2) what we wanted. We had our wedding outside and that, as well as the reception hall inside was a perfect fit for our 90ish guests. We offered the Carver's Delight buffet and the Premium bar level, which was very good value but also didn't compromise on quality. We met Chef Tim to talk over the details before the event and he is clearly very committed both to serving tasty food, as well as to the finer details of presentation and event organisation. Overall, Lauren worked with us and met with us on numerous occasions to plan the event. She gave us just the right amount of info so that we didn't forget anything but also offered us a great degree of freedom so that the day really felt personal. Her supervision on the day itself was a big part of making the whole thing stress-free and fun. Finally, we also used the on-site photographer (Lanie, The Crystal Lenz) and florist (Lisa, An Elegant Affair), which I can also highly recommend and will go on to review. Happy Weddings!

Morningside Inn, besides the obvious fact that its scenery is gorgeous, was an absolute wonderful venue to work with. Our coordinator, Shannon, was so professional and so much fun to work with. All of the staff there went above and beyond to make sure that our big day went off without a hitch. The bridal suite has just been remodeled and it's even more gorgeous than it was when we first visited the venue. The food was amazing, we received so many compliments on our menu. I would absolutely recommend Morningside Inn for anyone looking to be catered to and to have many amazing wedding photos to show off!

Amazing Venue for our wedding! The people were wonderful to work with, catered to our every need, made things very easy on the day of. The place is gorgeous with beautiful views of their land. Everyone was wonderful. They did everything they could to make my wedding as smooth and stress free as possible.

We had a fantastic time. With it being late in March we were hoping for an outdoor wedding, however this year was a bit too chilly. The night before we determined it would be indoors and they were able to accommodate our request. It was beautiful. We had so many compliments on the look, layout, decoration, and food. We went with their recommended/on site photographer and florist and they were both fantastic. We did go with an outside DJ, and he was phenomenal. Our wedding coordinator, Katie was fantastic and very accommodating. Lauren also helped us a lot. Both are very pleasant to work with. Overall, I would recommend Morningside Inn to anyone!!

I would and have recommended Morningside inn to everyone! In no way would our wedding have been the amazing experience had it not been for Beth. I must have changed my mind a million times and flooded her email with senseless questions and request. The staff is completely full service, responsive and accomadating to your every last need. Morningside Inn is AMAZING. I am so happy my husband and I stumbled upon this venue. In all honesty, we were not even really interested in going to see it. We were heading up to Frederick to see Ceresville Mansion and we knew Morningside Inn was close, so we figured we may as well see it since we were driving an hour.

Lauren was very accommodating, allowing us to view Morningside at 7:30 am on a Saturday. She did not want us to run over into the appointment we already had with Ceresville. The pictures on their website do not do the venue justice. The venue and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. It is about a mile off the road with a long winding entrance, giving you seclusion and quiet. You do not have to worry about hearing cars in the background.

Shannon was our wedding coordinator and she was a pleasure to work with, always responding to and addressing my questions/concerns. She made sure the day-of went smoothly and handled everything with ease. Everything was set up perfectly.

We received a ton of compliments on our venue. Everyone was extremely impressed with its beauty. But it is not only Morningside’s beauty that makes it a perfect venue, the workers are amazing and truly seem to enjoy what they do. All in all, Morningside is a gem. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Don’t miss out!!

From the first day I booked until the end of the reception the staff at Morningside was fantastic. My coordinator was Beth and she was there every step of the way. The venue was beautiful and the food was amazing. It was everything I dreamed my wedding would be.

My husband, family & I cannot thank Morningside Inn enough for all the help they provided us before and during our wedding! We will and have been recommending Morningside to everyone we talk to! Both our wedding ceremony & reception took place at Morningside. Shannon, our wedding planner at Morningside was extremely helpful during the planning process and during the wedding. Everything about the day was amazing. We got married on a Sunday, so we had the venue to ourselves most of the day. The food at the wedding was really delicious. Hats off to Chef Tim and his team. All of our friends & family keep telling us how much they enjoyed the food too--we wish we had some of those recipes too!

Our wedding occurred the day after the huge storm in July that knocked out all the power in the MD/VA area. I actually went through most of the wedding not knowing that the venue was being powered by a generator. The staff and owner at Morningside Inn work as such a cohesive team-- the wedding was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about the venue. Thank you thank you thank you! It was truly a memorable day!

I would highly recommend Morningside Inn for your ceremony and reception venue. The location is absolutely beautiful - my guests couldn't stop talking about during (and even after) the wedding. They host multiple events so you can meet with the preferred vendors and taste various food options, which I found to be very helpful. My wedding coordinator, Shannon, went above and beyond the call of duty. She was absolutely fabulous - she made sure all the little touches that I hadn't even thought of happen, such as putting votive candles around the cake and decorating the chairs at our sweetheart table. I had a candy buffet and Shannon set it up perfectly - it was beautiful and everything that I wanted it to be. The service and the food were great - the only bad thing that happened was that when they were packaging up the cake, they dropped the top cake. I was able to smoosh it together and freeze it, but was a little disappointing to see the cake destroyed. All in all, however, I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my wedding! It was exactly how I wanted my wedding to be!

Everything was better than I could have imagined. They take care of EVERYTHING! I thought I was going to be confused about what to do next, but our coordinator was there at all times to let us know what to do. I brought all of my decor the day before, and when I got there for the day of the wedding it was all set up perfectly! The venue is not as expensive as I had imagined it would be, which was amazing, and it was worth every penny that I did have to spend.

Morningside Inn was absolutely wonderful. In addition to being a beautiful venue, they were flexible, accommodating, and easy to work with. My step-daughter was married at Morningside this past weekend and every minute of the day was perfection. From the day we met with Katie, our organizer to the last dance at the reception, it was just perfect.
The location itself is reason for anyone to have there event there; the grounds are just beautiful for pictures. The entire staff, especially KATIE, was kind, accommodating and professional.
I highly recommend that if you choose this location for any event you order the beef because my 26 year old son is STILL talking about it!!

Morningside Inn is such a beautiful place. When I was looking into venues, Morningside Inn was one of the last places I looked at but when I got there and took one look around, I cried because I knew this was it. All of the staff were more than helpful when it came to questions and pre-wedding panic. They were always accommodating - through email, phone calls, and in person. My coordinator Shannon helped me decide the wedding day timeline, schedule the rehearsal, and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. She set up most of the tables (guest book, favor, cake, etc) and they looked amazing. She handled so much on the day of the wedding that looking back now I know I wouldn't have survived without her! Throughout the wedding I got to enjoy myself because everything was being handled by Shannon! At the end of the night, everything was packaged and ready to go! The food was excellent. Everything was top-notch and I had the best wedding ever at Morningside. We had a Saturday wedding in the evening and luckily no one had scheduled a daytime wedding so we got to be there getting ready and setting up all day. If we only had 2 hours prior to the ceremony which is what happens when there are 2 weddings on Saturday, I am not sure how it would have went down because I think I had a lot of stuff to prepare, even with all the staff working hard. I am so glad that my husband and I chose Morninside Inn for our wedding - we don't regret it and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Thank you, Morningside Inn!

Morningside Inn is so beautiful inside and out. The view is breathtaking and the staff is wonderful! From beginning to end the process of working with Morningside was unlike any other. The day of our wedding, our wedding coordinator Heather, took care of every detail. I was completely stress free and enjoyed our wedding from beginning to end! God gifted us with a georgous day. The place was beautiful, clean and everyone was more than helpful. I got compliments all day on the venue, the food (filet & crabcake) and the staff. Heather was our event planner. She was gracious, attentive, calm and greeted everything with a smile. It was so helpful to have someone who had done this so many times and helped me feel at ease in not only the details of the reception but every detail about the wedding as well. Theresa who was my 1st contact at Morningside was awesome in answering any questions.

Morningside was the absolute best place for our wedding. We had around 70 guests and we fit perfectly. For a fall wedding the scenery is just gorgeous and we planned to have it outside on the brick patio. Of course, with it being September, it rained. This didn't even make the staff flinch. While everyone was getting ready they effortlessly changed the plans with the approval of my husband and I and moved everything inside. We had an evening wedding the rain against the windows overlooking the grounds was just as beautiful, if not more, than having the wedding outdoors. Our wedding coordinator, Heather, that they provided was extremely helpful and professional. She made sure the entire night moved along but not in a rushed manner. The food was absolutely delicious too! We are very happy that we chose Morningside Inn as our venue.

We have twin daughters and held two weddings at Morningside within 3 months. We held a wedding in June and one in September. Both daughters felt all their dreams came true with their Morningside weddings. Our guests raved about the site, the food...everything went perfectly. We held the September wedding ceremony at Morningside, as well. It was beautiful. Jeannie and her staff are organized and take care of all the details. If you are holding a wedding at Morningside, you can trust it will be lovely. The Disc Jockey they provided is a class act. We highly recommend her. The Morningside Inn was a beautiful place for my wedding. They have an on site event coordinator, who helps organize everything from our menu to the rehearsal to all the details the day of the wedding. The location itself is gorgeous and truly amazed all of our guests. It provided beautiful backdrops for all of our photos. They were also accommodating when our guest count came in under their 125 Saturday event minimum, and provided us with extras for our event like an upgraded bar to compensate for the difference in cost.

Everything about our experience at Morningside Inn was great: quick responses to e-mails and phone calls, willingness to accommodate special requests regarding meals, bar, set-up, etc., ability to adapt to last-minute changes, plus the place is beautiful! My husband and I highly recommend Morningside, and especially Heather, our fabulous coordinator!

We fell in love with the Morningside Inn the second we pulled into the driveway! It is so beautiful and serene! We felt at home each time we went there for an appointment and especially the day of our wedding! Jeannie, the owner, was such a gem. So helpful and sweet! The food was absolutely delicious! The Morningside Inn made our wedding day wonderful. I would recommend the Morningside to anyone wishing to have a beautiful, peaceful, and memorable day. Jeanne and Shannon were absolutely wonderful, not to mention well organized, timely and very professional as was the entire staff at Morningside.

I do strongly recommend hiring a florist outside of the Morningside. The florist associated with the Morningside, "An Elegant Affair" by Lisa Monday was the absolute worst that anyone could imagine. She could never keep our order straight, or the associated charges. She is not Morningside material and we still can't figure out how she got herself attached to them. She was late with the flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonniers, halos, and table arrangements, some were not even what we ordered, and not very pretty. Our wedding was scheduled to begin at 1:00, and it was 12:55 when Lisa finally completed getting our flowers to us. This ruined many of the pre-ceremony photos, and created stress and hurt feelings among many of the bridal party and family members. One of the corsages that I ordered for my 83 year old aunt who came all the way up here from Miami, fell apart when it was placed on her wrist. Many of the relatives feelings were hurt as they watched others receive their corsages and boutonnieres, and we had to assure them that theirs would be here soon. Its bad when guests and relatives start asking what is going on with your florist. This is not how it is supposed to be, "unacceptable".The brides bouquet was also not as we ordered. Lisa Monday was very, very disappointing. When I went to search for her at 11:45 to see when we would begin to receive our flowers, she was no where to be found, and I was informed that she had to go out and pick up some materials to complete our order. Needless to say, I was upset. The Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom did not receive their corsages until 12:55, 5 minutes before the ceremony began. Later that evening, Lisa Monday sent me an email instructing me to place her final payment in the mail. When I brought to her attention all of the problems that she had caused, the orders that she made incorrectly, and our dissatisfaction with her products and services, her only response was to lie, and say she did nothing wrong, and demand her payment. There's more, but I am sure you get my message. Don't let this happen to you, Find another florist.

The Morningside Inn is the most absolutely wonderful venue for a ceremony, and reception, which afterward we received numerous compliments from our guests about the food, and the beautiful venue.

Morningside provided me with a beautiful venue for my small Indian wedding. They were incredibly accommodating and provided me with the perfect location. The views were amazing and my guests all loved the peaceful atmosphere it created. There were no golf courses in the background nor were there any typical hotel ballroom eyesores or passerbys such as cars, patrons, etc...to crowd my memories or my photos which is what made it perfect for me and my spouse.

Additionally, the chef took it upon himself to learn how to prepare indian food which was important to my family. He took my suggestions at the tasting and improved things so that my guests could have the most unique experience that many are still talking about today. The staff was friendly and kind and worked hard to make sure things moved smoothly and perfectly.

I looked at a number of venues and when I saw this one I knew it was where I wanted to be married. Even my spouse wanted to be married there from the get go. We still go back and visit every chance we get because of the breathtaking views and the comfortable feel of Morningside.

I highly recommend it. It provides guest with a not so typical feel and gives them the space that many crave when at gatherings like this. Why do something boring and normal when you can do something beautiful and memorable?!

The views at Morningside Inn are breathtaking in every direction and it is by far the best outdoor venue we found in our search. I do not have enough glowing things to say about Morningside! The venue is beautiful, the staff was so helpful and attentive, and to top it off it really is a great value. Tim the chef was so wonderful to meet with us (and cook for us!) several times to nail down our menu, and staff was always responsive to our questions and concerns leading up to the big day. The reception went off without a hitch and we received so many compliments on the beauty of the location and the quality of the food. I want to do it all over again!

I would recommend Morningside Inn in making your special and the most memorable one. When it comes to weddings these guys are pros and make your day flow with ease.

Morningside Inn is an absolutely gorgeous venue. Now that my wedding is over I miss going there. It is just so beautiful and peaceful. The staff are very responsive and helpful. You have to use them for catering, but that is fine, because the food was excellent. The outside and inside are both beautiful so even if it rains, the setting is really nice. I highly recommend visiting this place. The website does not do it justice; you have to see the place in person. It is breathtaking. They decorated the place beautifully for my wedding. Everything went very smoothly.

First of all, this place is GORGEOUS! I hadn't intended to choose someplace in Frederick, much less someplace with lots of small twisty roads to go through to get there but once I saw it I could not resist. We had so many compliments from guests on the beautiful venue. Despite it being November we were able to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside. Despite what another reviewer said about not liking having the event on two floors, I found it helped in getting people to mingle & not just stick at their own tables all night. The day of coordinator was flawless and really made the day so easy for me. She called me several times in the weeks leading up to the wedding to see if there was anything she could do for me and if I had any questions. Everyone associated with the Inn was so nice, guests even commented on that fact.
As far as the food, I thought the London broil was a little overdone, but we also had salmon & chicken and those were delicious. The decor is neutral but very nice, and in my opinion much nicer than the standard ballroom. There are huge windows in the dining room overlooking the green fields & pond. Plus when we were shopping for a venue, we thought we could have up to 200 guests, and they said they could accommodate that. We ended up with significantly fewer - about 140 - and were quite comfortable. 200 might be pushing it in terms of comfort but certainly there was room for more people than we had. My centerpieces & a couple of decorations didn't make it into the pile of stuff for us to take home, but then that is also my fault for not designating someone to do that either. I really could not have asked for more in terms of a ceremony/reception venue.

It's a shame to see so many "just ok" reviews about Morningside Inn...we can't think of a negative thing to say about Morningside!!! We searched high and low for an exceptional venue and were blown away from the moment we drove down their driveway...the views were unbelievable!!! The food was awesome (and I am a big food critic), very reasonably priced (and we had 150 guests) and the venue itself was spotless! The bridal suite was beautiful, and very spacious! Everyone there was friendly, organized and extremely helpful and they even threw in a few "extras" for us (like a card holder) for free. Please, please, please check them out...I do not think you will be disappointed! We are highly recommending Morningside to a few of our friends who will be getting married soon.

My husband and I were recently married this summer at Morningside! Everything from our initial tour to our wedding day was excellent! We felt completely taken care of throughout the entire planning process. Our wedding coordinator, Lauren, was easily reachable and quick to respond if we had any questions while we were planning. This was the NINTH venue we looked into. Yeah, I'm that bride. I just really wanted to find the perfect place for our special day. When we came to Morningside Inn, it was instant love for both me and my fiancé/husband. The place is WAY more beautiful in person than it might appear on their website. It has two levels of stunning rooms, a perfectly placed bar, and a classic, gorgeous outdoor ceremony space. Not only was the building fabulous, but the whole way through, our coordinator, Lauren, was personable, professional, and SO easy to work with. She alleviated so many worries I had about the process (seating, decorating, last-minute guests, the list goes on!). The in-house catering was also really good! I also recommend their associated DJ, Soundsations. We loved working with Jim!
HUGELY important for us was that the pricing was super reasonable - we had a pretty strict budget, and not only did they offer so much flexibility in terms of pricing packages, but this was the only venue of the nine we visited that was completely transparent and up front about all costs. Lauren even gave us an Excel document where we could plug in our numbers and see how the price would change! As a money-conscious couple, we LOVED that!
On word of note to brides - even though it's called an Inn, it isn't - they don't have rooms available anymore. But if that's the only downside, then who's complaining? Thanks, Morningside!

The Morningside Inn was a fantastic venue for a wedding! Not only was it absolutely beautiful, but the staff was helpful and responsive to every question I had. The only thing I was upset about was that on our wedding day, my groom told me that he was not well attended to. I (the Bride), on the other hand, was extremely well taken care of as were my bridesmaids and family members. It was truly a memorable evening and I want to do it all again!

Morningside Inn was a perfect venue for our wedding a few weeks ago. The staff at the Inn were very responsive and always answered all of my questions that I had. When I showed up the day of, my wedding coordinator, Beth, told me that there was an issue with the cake that had been dropped off earlier that day. The top tier of the cake had fallen into the bottom tier and looked completely ruined. Beth had already contacted the bakery where we got the cake from to see if they could bake another one or if the cake decorators were still there to fix the cake. She called them back and found out that the decorators had left the area for the day and there was nothing that could be done. Beth asked the caterer if he could possibly fix it and he was very unsure with the damage that had been done. However, thirty minutes later she informed us that the cake had been patched up and actually looked pretty good. It was great how Beth and the rest of the staff took it upon themselves to go out of the way and contact the bakery and fix the cake, even though it was not their problem or fault.

We were booked for a Saturday night wedding and we had a lot less people than the minimum. So, the Inn threw in some extras like the liquor package and chocolate fountain since we had less than the minimum. Everyone told me that the wedding and reception was beautiful. It's such a beautiful place, the pictures from the day are fantastic, everything flowed smoothly, and Beth was on top of everything, so I didn't have to be. I would highly recommend Morningside Inn and their staff for any wedding or other special occasion that you have. Honestly, the pictures online do not do the Inn justice - it is so much more breathtaking in person.

After touring three venues and then Morningside Inn, there was no contest. This venue is so beautiful and needed very little decorating. The staff was amazing. The food was amazing. They did the majority of the setup for me, and accommodated us for the rehearsal. They worked closely with our vendors and the day was just seamless!! I cannot say enough great things about Morningside Inn and the staff!!

Morningside Inn was a wonderful place to have our wedding. From day 1 my husband and I felt very comfortable with the service and the venue. I was a very no hassle bride and wanted to keep things as stress free as possible. All of that was easily done with the help of the staff at Morningside. It was really a one stop shop! We immediately liked Morningside after visiting last spring. The venue is beautiful, and the location is even more stunning. We loved the outdoor ceremony site, but also liked the option for the indoor ceremony as a back-up. Shannon was our wedding coordinator and we really enjoyed working with her. She was easy to work with leading up to the wedding and answered all of our questions along the way. At the rehearsal and on the wedding day, we felt at ease with her help. She really made the day one we could simply enjoy and made sure that everything ran smoothly.

We were absolutely thrilled with the experience we had at Morningside Inn. The beautiful grounds were the perfect backdrop to our outdoor June wedding. The drive to Morningside is so picturesque, and we loved how secluded and peaceful the property is. The indoor dining room is filled with beautiful hardwood floors and carved wooden chairs and tables that give it a "country elegance" feel. We liked the set-up of having the ceremony outdoors on the stone patio overlooking the green field and weeping willow tree, and then moving indoors for dinner upstairs and dancing in their spacious lower-level.

Aside from the beautiful venue itself, one of the things that attracted us to Morningside was the friendliness and professionalism of their staff. Lauren Schmidt was such a pleasure to work with as our wedding planner. Leading up to the wedding, she guided us through the entire process and timeline, making us feel very at ease. During the rehearsal and on the day of our wedding, she made sure everything ran smoothly and that we were happy and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator. The rest of the staff were also very professional and helpful during the wedding.

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. We had several guests with food allergies and the chef was more than willing to work with us to create a custom menu to fit their needs. Our only regret is that the reception had to end by 11pm, since everyone was having such a great time eating and dancing.

Months later, several of our guests continue to comment on how impressed they were by Morningside and what a beautiful wedding it was. We agree and would definitely recommend Morningside Inn to other couples!
