5 stars! Highly recommend!
We recently had our son's Bar Mitzvah at the Community House this past May. The venue was amazing! We utilized all the rooms. The building has such wonderful charm and we are already thinking about what event we can have there next. Joan was amazing and beyond knowledgeable. She helped from beginning to end and left no stone unturned. Our caterer was Foodwerx. If anyone would like to use them ask for Alyssa. I would definitely recommend The Moorestown Community House for your next event! -

The best day at CHM & Summit Catering!
Can't say enough good things about the beautiful Community House of Moorestown and Summit Catering. Our big day was the best day and our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was. Joan was very responsive and flexible when scheduling our first tour, our rehearsal dinner (during the week of Thanksgiving :/) and even an extra look leading up to the day. I would highly recommend giving this one a look! -

Perfect Wedding
The Community House was the perfect venue for our celebration. Everyone was so easy to work with and so flexible to our different ideas and decor. Our guests LOVED the venue. We even had someone reach out to us as they’re now considering booking for their wedding.Community House of Moorestown's reply:

Perfect Wedding Venue
The Community House of Moorestown was the perfect wedding venue and I'm so grateful we could have our special day here. The staff were extremely responsive and helpful with everything we needed. The venue provided ample room for spending the day there. There is a huge bridal suite with kitchenette, bathroom, and dressing rooms. We had our ceremony in the library and couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. We also had an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour and the mix of spaces gave everyone plenty of room to enjoy the venue. We received so many compliments on the venue from our guests. It was the best venue and allowed for a truly magical day.Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Dear Brie,

Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness, and we hope to welcome you back for future celebrations!

Fabulous wedding day!!
We had such a fantastic wedding day at Community House of Moorestown!! The venue is gorgeous and spacious, and it has a unique and historic charm that we didn’t find elsewhere in Philadelphia. My husband and I loved the getting ready areas, and we catered breakfast in the conference room for our guests. We did our ceremony off-site but had an absolutely incredible reception back at Community House. The team was easy to work with and we were able to schedule another tour shortly before our wedding to remind ourselves of the rooms and the various areas that we wanted to decorate. We loved being able to personalize our wedding and definitely are glad we did it at Community House! -

Guests loved our venue ALMOST as much as we did :)
We absolutely LOVED the Community House of Moorestown for our October 2023 wedding. We had a Friday evening wedding and rented out the additional library space for our indoor ceremony. You get the entire venue from start to finish which was WONDERFUL. All of our guests loved the venue. There are so many beautiful spaces for photos, we took advantage of all of them--our photographer thanked us for giving him the chance to take photos here! We also worked with Chef Rob from Bacio's and we highly recommend the MCH + Bacio combination. Happy wedding planning!-

Unique, classy, perfection!
Beautiful, unique, breathtaking. We loved the unique and classical vibe at The Community House of Moorestown, for our wedding! After visiting several other "typical" venues, we met with Joan and toured MCH and fell in love. Inside, outside, the front and back patios, the library, the ballroom.. it's perfection. We captured photos in just about every area of the venue, and we are so happy that we did! We loved that there was space for both bridal parties to get ready on site, without extra fees, which really helped keep the day flowing! Our guests LOVED it!-

Wonderful venue for great value
From our first meeting that included a tour of The Community House, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding! The classic style is immaculately maintained and the staff answered all of our questions along our planning timeline. A huge bonus is that the venue is all yours (that’s if you’re utilizing their stunning Library) for the entire day. -

Perfect venue for our special day
My husband and I recently got married at the community house on 12/9. The venue was truly the perfect place for our special day. The venue was decorated with some wonderful holiday decorations, and several of my guests told us how much they enjoyed the library room. We were able to have the venue to ourselves for the whole day, and I was able to get ready at the upstairs bridal suite with my bridal party at the community house. Everyone at the community house was very professional and responsive when I had a question, and Joan was great to work with. Thank you community house for being a part of our special day! -

perfect venue!!!
The community house was the PERFECT venue!!! It was so beautiful and since we had the entire building we had so many options for how we wanted everything to look. In addition to such a gorgeous venue the bridal suite was a huge addition to helping our day run smoothly.
It is perfect and we had the whole day to get ready and relax. Couldn't have picked a better location for a great day!! -

Uniquely elegant
We loved Joan as much as we loved the venue. She was so accommodating and informative. I had so many questions and ideas for decorating, which as MOB and florist, gave me a unique set of obstacles. Joan was always there for me - calming my nerves and talking me through it. Miraculously, everything I needed to accomplish got done, everything fell into place, I was on time, and my vision materialized before my eyes! I highly recommend renting the entire house to experience all the charm and beauty this venue has to offer. The stage was perfect for our band. It was memorable and heartfelt.-

Couldn’t Have Chosen a Better Venue!
There are so many great things I can say about The Community House of Moorestown! My husband and I had our wedding here this past October and it was everything we could have asked for and so much more! The staff was very accommodating from the moment we booked, all the way through to the wedding! Joan was able to provide recommended vendors, which landed us with using Due Amici catering, and they too were fantastic! The Community House provides multiple beautiful backdrops and provides a touch of English elegance! This is a one of a kind venue and a manor that you have to yourself for your wedding and guests! So happy with everything! Highly recommend! -

Absolutely Beautiful Place and Amazing Staff
My husband and I just got married here on October 13, 2023 and I am so happy we picked this venue. We added on getting married in the library so that we had the whole venue, but also because we are both huge bookworms. The library is the cutest spot for an indoor ceremony and had so many bookshelves that we could add our own decorations to right where the guests would walk in. The venue itself if breathtaking and just provides so many gorgeous photographic opportunities, both inside and outside the building. The banquet hall was huge and you have freedom to use all (or none) of the tables and chairs in the hallways. We actually used two of the fancier chairs from the hallway as the chairs for our sweetheart table. Joan was incredibly friendly and personable, super super helpful with every little question you can think of, and she responded right away. I absolutely would recommend this venue, time and time again.Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Thank you Dina for the kind words and wonderful review. It was a pleasure helping you with your wedding day. I'm so happy it was your dream come true. Wishing you the best of love and happiness as you begin this new chapter as a married couple.

Gorgeous, Historic venue with incredible staff
This venue is what dreams are made of. The entire building is beautiful and charming. The historic elements make this space feel moody and regal. The windows are huge and allow so much light and make for gorgeous pictures. From the front grounds to the quaint library it feels like a story. The staff was also a dream to work with. Joan has a real passion for the building, the community, and above all weddings. She was responsive and warm. Antoinette was there the day of bright and early to greet us and make sure our day started perfectly. I am so happy we found this gem and that we were married here. It made for the best day and the most lovely memories.-

Perfect sums it up!
This venue could not have been any better!! We had the entire house to our wedding (rent the library for just in case like our wedding where it was too hot to get married out front) . We had such a fantastic time and Joan is so lovely to work with. She gave us great recommendations and was great with communicating with us when we needed help! Our guests were so complimentary about the venue and we had the BEST time. Getting married here was just amazing.Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for this 5 star review. You and Adam had an amazing wedding. The photo of you seated on the bar in the library is my favorite. Thank you for choosing the Community House of Moorestown as your perfect wedding venue. It was a pleasure working with you, your caterer and Jeffrey. Wishing you and Adam a lifetime of happiness.

The Most Beautiful Venue
From the moment we set foot in the Moorestown Community House, we knew it would be the perfect place to celebrate our wedding! The staff and building are both so welcoming, making you feel at home during your event. Working with Joan to plan our event was effortless, as she and her team are kind, flexible, and extremely helpful, full of advice gathered from many previous events. Different spaces throughout the Community House served different purposes throughout our day allowing us to have lots of room to mingle, eat, and dance. The accommodations of the bridal suite made getting ready with our friends and family convenient and comfortable. The front lawn and exterior of the building created a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony while the interior of the building is so stunning we had hardly any need for decorations. Overall, our time at the Moorestown Community House was an amazing experience and the greatest pleasure to work with.Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Hi Anna, thank you so much for the wonderful 5-star review and your kind words. Our "Dandie" Affair at The Community House of Moorestown
The Community House of Moorestown is the ideal setting for any size wedding or occasion. With so many classically beautiful rooms from which to choose, you can host a small, charming event or you can rent the entire place and host the event of your dreams...
As residents of Moorestown, the Main Street location felt like home, and we loved being able to decorate the ballroom to our own unique sense of style. It was very special to have local businesses involved as well - the catering, music, flowers, photography, and special performances by our local theatre company!
Everything was absolutely perfect, from our first meeting with Joan to the night of our "Dandie" affair. We could not have dreamed of having a more beautiful wedding anywhere else. The Community House of Moorestown is the only place to have the wedding of your dreams.Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Thank you Dan for your amazing words and kind 5-star review of your experience at the Community House of Moorestown. You certainly had "your best day ever" and we are thrilled you and Andrea hosted your wedding day at the House. It was a pleasure getting to know you and can't wait for you to come back for a visit. Fairytale Wedding!
I found the community house of Moorestown completely by accident, as I live about an hour away in Pennsylvania! It was the first place my fiancé and I looked at, and we completely fell in love! We booked immediately and if you do end up booking here, adding in the library room is an absolute MUST! Everyone here was a pleasure to work with. They let me come and tour the space multiple times, usually on short notice, since I’m such a planner and wanted to lay out my theme! The space itself is just incredible, and could work for almost any wedding you could ever dream of! For my intimate, romantic, vintage winter wedding, it was an absolute fairytale! We used Bacios catering which was fantastic, but all of the caterers they recommend are great options! This is definitely a 10/10 wedding venue that is flying under the radar! My guests were shocked by how beautiful it was, and wondering why they’ve never seen it before! If you’re looking for the perfect intimate unique wedding Location, you found it!!-

Timeless elegance at your own mansion for a day!
We can’t say enough great things about the Moorestown Community House! This venue serves and the getting ready venue with bridal suite and groom room, the perfect backdrop for pictures, cocktail hour, and formal reception. You will be the only event on the property the house is private and intimate for your wedding ONLY! Easy parking. Handicap accessible. Separate areas for those who do not wish to join in on the dancing they could enjoy themselves in the other rooms or lobby area. Plenty of room for a full 14 person band on the stage. Night pictures on the property are STUNNING. Very affordable. Security deposit was retuned quickly after the wedding.-

The absolute best!!
We had originally been looking at farms for a barn wedding, but with our guest count, it was way too expensive and unfathomable. We saw the community house and gave it a try. IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE!! The building is so beautiful and has so much character. You have the brick and original wood, surrounded by beautiful trees, and in the heart of Moorestown. Beautiful, great staff, and very inexpensive!!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

Wonderful place for an lovely, intimate wedding event
We chose The Community House of Moorestown, NJ, for our second-time-around wedding and dinner, and were so very pleased! We booked the Library Room, a charming room located inside the Community House, for our mostly-family 60-person wedding dinner/reception. Our young adult children stood for us as we were married in a beautiful, Friday early evening ceremony that took place under a white tent on the green lawn of the Community House. Our lovely white flowers held up in the July heat, thanks to gardener Carla Hess Smith, owner of The Blue Chrysanthemum. Armed with water bottles, our guests had had only to walk a few steps to enter the former library space, which glowed from hanging lights over the tables. The appetizer and dinner buffet, from Community House caterer Michael Georgetti, was delicious and summer-simple (pasta, lemon chicken, roast pork, etc.). At the bar, our signature drink -- "white wine lemonade with blueberries" -- was a big hit on a hot summer night. So were the temporary "literary tattoos," quotes from famous novels that our guests enjoyed reading and putting on their arms. As evening fell, the Library Room took on an enchanting glow, thanks to family and friends who decorated each table with all-white flowers, tea light candles, and tiny mini-lights. They even created a photo booth with an "All you need is love" sign. And DJ Jon Hunt, of Cherry Hill, who set up surrounded by books, got everyone up and dancing to the best tunes all night. Kudos to Community House staff, Joan and Karen, who allowed family and friends to transform this already special space into our dream wedding and dinner/dancing location. For an intimate wedding, you just can't go wrong in the Library Room at the Community House of Moorestown.Community House of Moorestown's reply:

Christmas Winter Wedding
The Moorestown Community House was the perfect place for our winter wedding, the Saturday before Christmas. This venue is vintage elegant, and our guests have raved to us time and again how unique and intimate it was. We had a truly magical & romantic Christmas wedding here. A huge bonus is that we were able to utilize the space for the entire day. There is a beautiful bridal suite that is very spacious and perfect for getting ready. Multiple rooms are utilized for the big day so your guests will experience not only a ballroom, but additional rooms for cocktail hour & dessert and a ceremony space. We chose the library for our ceremony which is pictured below! I am still so in love with the mansion and could not have been more thrilled to be married in such a gorgeous venue.Community House of Moorestown's reply:

We Loved It!
My husband and I got married at the Community House on 02/28/20, right before everything got shut down! We were so fortunate to be able to have our wedding and even more grateful to have it at the Community House. From the minute I saw the Community House I was in love. I walked into the library and knew that was where we were going to get married. I literally started crying. Joan was so accommodating in every regard while planning our wedding and was great about recommending vendors since we were from out of town. Everything about our day at the Community House was perfect. From getting ready together in the beautiful bridal suite, to pictures all over the historic grounds, an amazing ceremony in the library, and an amazing party with cafe lights in the ballroom-- I could not have pictured a more perfect day! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful romantic place to get married and to be able to make your experience unique to youCommunity House of Moorestown's reply:

Romantic, historic, and timeless
My husband and I are SO happy we chose the Moorestown Community House for our wedding! When I started the wedding planning process, I thought I wanted the typical rustic barn venue. However, when my husband and I toured the community house, I fell completely in love with the classic, romantic, and historic aspects of this beautiful venue. You have the entire venue to yourself for the whole day, which makes you feel like you rented out a historic home to get ready! The bridal suite is amazing and spending the morning there with all my girls was so stress free and fun. My husband and I chose to get married in March, so we had our ceremony in the restored library. It was the exact intimate vibe we were going for, and my photographer was able to get some amazing pictures from the upper level of library. Sensational Host did an amazing job catering the event- Jeff and Kara, as well as all of their staff, are wonderful to work with! Cocktail hour spanned the whole floor, and our guests loved being able to move around the building. I was initially worried about the ballroom and dance floor being too small for 175 guests, but it was perfect. We were able to do a sparkler exit in the front of the building, which was the best way to end the night! Joan is super flexible, and you can truly make this venue into anything you envision with your team of vendors. The venue is timeless and you will not regret choosing MCH as your wedding venue!!

MCH, Character & Class!
The Moorestown Community House is an AMAZING venue! We had our ceremony outdoors, since our wedding was in July. The building serves as the perfect backdrop for pictures! Each room in the Community House is unique and the layout is perfect for guests to easily explore throughout the night. The ballroom is gorgeous! I would recommend getting bistro lights to drape across the dance floor. Our guests are still raving about the character and class of this venue! Joan Brown was wonderful to work with! She was very helpful and accommodating throughout the process. Another one of my favorite things about MCH is the fact that you have access to the venue for the entire day of your wedding! Talk about convenient! The bridal suite upstairs is phenomenal! It’s the perfect area for any size bridal party. The women that did our hair and makeup were able to come right to the venue and they had their own special room to work in. The Moorestown Ballroom is a hidden gem and definitely the perfect place to have your wedding!-

Perfect Day!
We had our DREAM wedding at the Community House of Moorestown. As soon as my future husband and I saw the building, we knew it was the perfect fit for our wedding day. We loved the 1920s look of the building. Having the bridal/groom suites upstairs to get ready was seriously a lifesaver! I felt like I could really enjoy the day and not worry about everyone getting from the hair salon, to pictures, to the ceremony, to the venue, etc. They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, but we fell in love with the look of the Library and had our ceremony there. The balcony around the room, high ceilings, great big window letting natural light in, it was an enchanting space. The ballroom was a perfect space for the reception. We felt like a king and queen in front of the fireplace using their using their antique table and chairs for the sweetheart table. Each room in the Community House is very unique and beautiful! Joan was great to work with and was quick to answer our questions. Absolutely beautiful place to get married!-

Beautiful Venue of My Dreams
Moorestown Community House is so much more than a community house. It is a DIY venue that has limitless options and visions that is available at a reasonable price! Joan, the venue coordinator, was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating and responsive to all of our questions and needs. This venue is a true hidden gem that I would highly recommend this venue! -

Elegant venue to leave your guests wondering how much you spent
Joan at Moorestown Community House was extremely helpful. The venue was absolutely beautiful, guests thought we spent a lot more on the venue than we actually did. And it is so nice having the entire place to yourself. We did rent out the library as well. We chose Sensational Host as our caterer based of the preferred vendor list given by Moorestown Community House. They were absolutely fantastic, they do cater the majority of weddings there and if you go to their tasting, you will understand why. -

Beautiful. Classic. Timeless.
My fiance and I fell in love with the MCH the first time we went and saw it. Joan was super easy to work with and helped us by providing a bunch of local vendors for the area. We were having a military wedding and wanted something classic and timeless for our venue. The space was perfect! The ballroom held up to 180 people with a dance floor and had a set back stage. This was ideal for us because we hired a band for our music/entertainment. The kitchen was fully functional so our caterer was able to cook all of the food in house, so it was warm and fresh when we were served! There were 3 separate bars throughout the facility so your guests never needed to wait for a drink. The different rooms allowed for your guests to adventure throughout the hallways and find new spaces before the ballroom was opened up. Our personal favorite touch was the big TV above the front bar. We attached a laptop to it with an HDMI cord and played a football game during cocktail hour. Our guests only had great things to say. Several women even commented on how pretty the ladies bathroom is!! We had such a beautiful day!!-

My husband and I had a wedding at the Moorestown Community House in August of 2018. The ambiance of the venue is so special that from the minute I walked in, I knew that was the place I wanted to have my wedding. Joan helped make everything so easy for us. She was always available for questions and helped us connect with caterers, recommended florists and helped run our rehearsal. She was also our Maitre D' the day of our wedding and she worked closely with our wedding band to ensure that our ceremony and our reception introductions ran flawlessly. The building is well maintained and is just an overall beautiful place to get married. The bridal suite is an added bonus, our hair and makeup artists were thrilled with the set up! Our day was absolutely perfect and I cannot thank Joan enough for her help in that process!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

What an amazing space! Joan is a great representative for the venue! She quickly responded to my emails, and had an answer for every question.
The bridal sweet was just perfect! The "salon" with 5 chairs/mirrors was just perfect for everyone to get their hair and make up done on site. The bride's room was also spacious, with beautiful light pouring in! A very relaxing place to get ready. Also, I didn't realize until the day of that there was a huge kitchenette with a microwave and large (but not full size by today's standards) refrigerator, and a large area to eat and relax before the festivities began. That was a huge bonus!
The stage was just perfect for our band! We had 111 guests at 11 tables (3 of which were the 72" round) and there it was the perfect size for us. Cozy but there was plenty of room between tables, no one had to squeeze to get by. My husband could even RUN between tables to photobomb as many people as he could :)
So many of our guests commented on the beautiful venue and loved taking pictures all around the venue! Hopefully when I get professional pictures back I can update my review and add more of the venue!
Book the Moorestown Ballroom, you be thrilled that you did!!! We had a blast!!!-

I had looked at a lot of of venues and fell in love with the Moorestown Community House the second I pulled up. Joan was very quick to answer emails and had no problem with me visiting a bunch of times over the past year with different people to ooh and ahh over it and measure. I was a little disappointed the one room wasn't available because of the fire last year, but arrangements were made and everything came together very nicely. Joan was great making sure the bridal suite was finished in time for my wedding and it looked better than I could've ever imagined. I can't wait to see pictures of everyone in the building!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

The Moorestown Ballroom was a perfect setting for a memorable day. My husband and I were looking for something classy, and fell in love with the Moorestown Ballroom immediately after we toured it. Everything is very well maintained, and very classic looking. There's a huge main ballroom, and a bunch of side rooms that are great to work with.
Note that there are 3 bathrooms (mens/womens/handicap) and for 125 guests, it was not a problem. Also, they have a convenient small elevator in the back to help handicap guests get from the parking lot to the main level, instead of taking stairs. The parking lot is big, but some of the guests missed the driveway on Main Street. Just look for the sign with the big "16" on it. Or try getting into the parking lot in the back from Prospect Ave. -

The Moorestown Ballroom was the perfect venue for our wedding. We wanted a reception with character, and stopped our search before we even entered the Community House. As soon we arrived, we were speechless. The building is from the 20's and all renovations were done with the original materials (slate roof, brick exterior, etc.). Once we entered, we were even more excited. There is a grand foyer with marble floors, grand staircase to a bridal suite, and classic decor. There are a couple of small rooms for cocktail hour and dessert, and a larger ballroom for dinner and dancing. The ballroom was breathtaking with decor by Summit Catering and flower arrangements by Martine's Florist. We had 170 guests, and the room was full, but comfortable. The pictures I've seen so far are amazing with the Moorestown Community House as the backdrop, indoors and out. I am so glad we chose it!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

This was the perfect place to have my daughter's wedding!
To begin with, Joan Brown was great in showing us around the venue and explaining how the wedding day could flow from one part of the building and grounds to the next. And we did use the entire building - from the ladies getting ready upstairs, to the ceremony on the front lawn, to cocktail hour in the Club Room, the reception in the Ballroom and the fun of the photo booth in the Garden Room.
Most of the relatives were from out of state and having the wedding ceremony and reception in one location was perfect!
The Moorestown Community House is a beautiful location for any function and was the perfect place for my daughter's wedding.

I had my wedding reception at Moorestown Community House on November 22nd 2014. It is absolutely beautiful, for any bride looking for a unique classy stunning wedding venue - book here! You get the entire building all day - upstairs there is a large room for you and the girls to get your hair and makeup done, a private smaller bridal room to get dressed in and take pictures in, a kitchen and bathroom. The main floor has a beautiful wide hallway to layout seating charts and gift table, and there are 2 large rooms in addition to the ballroom. We used the front room for cocktails, and the garden room was used for candy table, dessert, coffee and photo booth. The ballroom was perfect, with a fireplace and large dance floor. We had 90 guests and it didn't feel empty nor cramped. I'm sure you could comfortably fit more people and tables. We communicated with Joan, who was a pleasure to work with and she had several helpful suggestions for other vendors. We had the perfect wedding at Moorestown Community House - I strongly suggest you consider them for your wedding!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

Great venue. Beautiful inside and out. The front of the building makes for amazing pictures. You get the whole building for the same price. That is 3 good size rooms and a nice patio area. What is also nice is that you get the building for the entire day from I think 8am-midnight. So if you are doing some of the setup yourself, that gives you all day to get it done. The only bad thing I could say and this is really nitpicking but the men's room could use updating. You can throw a cheap area rug and spice it up if you really want but guys seriously do not care. Also, the rep Joan, is very easy to work with and get a hold of if, if needed. So, check it out! -

I just had my wedding at the Moorestown Community House last week. The Moorestown Community House is the perfect venue if you want a reception with a large ballroom, tons of parking, a separate room for buffet dinner, a separate room (and patio) for cocktail hour, a huge lawn, and a wonderful bridal suite. We were looking for a venue with character and charm and that had many rooms for use instead of just one ballroom: MCH matched the bill perfectly. The house also provides a backdrop for absolutely beautiful outdoor pictures! I would definitely recommend MCH for a wedding, you will be thrilled with the space and how gorgeous the house is!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

We loved having our wedding at the Community House! It's such a great value. From a practical standpoint, we loved that we were able to bring our own alcohol into the venue, and that the rental of the facility lasted for the ENTIRE day... we didn't have a party before us or after us. It's also just plain beautiful, from the patio to the lobby to the ballroom. There's also PLENTY of parking on-site. In all, it was a classy, welcoming place to spend the evening with our guests. -

Our wedding was so perfect! The community house is such a beautiful venue, with wood beams on the ceilings, fireplace mantel, balcony, gorgeous front lawn, vintage decor..the venue is beautiful and elegant! We chose to do our wedding here because of course of the gorgeous look of the venue, but also because it is large enough to comfortably hold our guests which were 170, it has a stage where we could have a wedding band, and that it allows for bringing your own cater which is a huge perk. I absolutely recommend Moorestown Community house as a venue for an elegant gorgeous wedding!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

The Moorestown Community House is a beautiful place to have your wedding or special event. It is not a typical wedding hall by any means, but is still an incredibly classy place. Cocktail hour was spread out through the front "club" room, the patio outside in front, and the back "garden" room. We were a little suspicious about having it so spread out. Our caterer promised us it would help the "flow" Everyone seemed to have a great time, and people we definitely making their way around the different rooms. (they are connected by a wide hallway, which in itself becomes an area for people to congregate and socialize.) The servers were out and serving. We had a beer and wine bar set up on the patio and a few bar in the hall way. Inside the ballroom after cocktail hour our caterer (Due Amici in Cinniminson) had everything decorated beautifully with everything we had provided for them. The ballroom was large enough to fit 16 tables without being cramped. We could have fit at least one or two more (which would have made it a little stuffy) The tables are supposed to fit 10, we chose to only sit 8 at a table to keep it as comfortable as possible. There is a stage where the DJ set up, so he was not taking up floor space. Overall, a great, old, charming place for a wedding. -

I had my wedding here in November and it was beautiful! It has a very historic feel which adds to its charm. I added uplighting to the balcony in the ballroom which added a nice touch. I used Due Amici (located in Cinnaminson) as my caterer and they were wonderful!! They set up all the decorations I had dropped off that day, and their set up looked great. The food was also amazing! I would definitely recommend both the venue and my caterer. -

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Moorestown Community House on 10/1/11. We could not have made a better decision in going with this venue. Joan and her staff were wonderful and did everything they could to acommodate us. Joan was quick to return phone calls and respond to inquiries and always made sure we were taken care of. The venue itself is beatiful, historic, well- maintained. We were lucky enough to have good weather and utilized the front patio for cocktail hour. I highly recommend the Ballroom at the Moorestown Community House for your wedding or event! -

The Moorestown Community House was the perfect place for our wedding reception. My girls and I got dressed there before going to the church. There are lots of places for pictures. The ballroom can be set up in many different ways - it was hard to choose!!! The fact that you can rent the facility for the entire day is a great bonus. It is neat and clean (inside and out), large and small (if necessary), natural light or controlled lighting. Best of all the staff is wonderful. Joan was always available for questions either on the phone or by e-mail. We were able to get in several times to plan our decorations and pictures as well as cocktail hour and dinner set-up. I do not remember the name of the gentleman who was there the day of our reception but he was a delight, kind, friendly and very helpful. I highly reccommend The Moorestown Community House for your special day - you will not be disappointed!!! -

This is the perfect venue if you are looking for something unique with a vintage flare. We had use of the majority of the building and grounds. The bridal suite upstairs included several rooms with enough space for even a large bridal party to get ready. The building is incredibly photogenic. Joan Brown was wonderful, answered all questions and responded to all e-mails in a timely manner. The ballroom was perfect for our 130 guests (I think 15-17 tables would be okay, otherwise, it would get too cramped.) This is an absolutely stunning venue inside and out! -

The Moorestown Community House is an elegant venue with three rooms providing options to personalize the flow of your wedding. Joan was great and very helpful with setup and any questions. Lots of parking and great photo opportunities too! The ballroom is warm and cozy and there is a bridal suite for you to stash important items during your wedding. -

The Moorestown Community House was the perfect venue for our daughter's reception since we were looking for a more personal touch and flexibility. The venue was available the entire day with a designated private upper floor for the wedding party. Three rooms, lovely foyer, and two patios were available for hosting guests. We especially appreciated having a variety of spaces for our guests to enjoy. The ambience resembled a stately country manor.
Joan provided a list of available vendors as well as pictures of previous events to help us get started in our planning. She was always available to answer questions.....and showed unending patience with my numerous visits.
With the help of wedding planners, florists, and caterers, MCH magically transformed into a county manor fit for a wedding. We were not disappointed....better than we envisioned. -

The Moorestown Community House was a beautiful place to get married! We had an outdoor ceremony and the brick facade of the building made an incredible backdrop! It was a rainy morning, so we also had a back up plan in the garden room, which would have also been beautiful. The best part about the Community House is that you have the whole thing all day. We were able to set up throughout the day, hang out, and get ready there which really helped lower any wedding day chaos. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking in the area! -

The Community House is an exceptional venue. We used it for our ceremony and reception, and I can't say enough about it. Just some of the highlights of the space are as follows:
- You have use of it all day (from 8 AM - midnight on Saturdays, when our wedding was), which (in our case) made setup, etc. very low-stress.
- You have a lot of decorative/style freedom, giving you the ability to really control the overall look and feel of your event.
- When you rent the space, you can use ALL of it: the ballroom, and two cocktail rooms (as well as a small bridal suite upstairs, and a medium sized playroom-type space). This is AWESOME, and was a feature our guests especially loved.
- It's got personality! It's a gorgeous old building, and not to be cliche, but it's got tons of character. My husband and I felt very at home in the space.
Again, I could go on and on. In a nutshell, though: we were THRILLED with our MCH experience. Joan (their wedding coordinator) was great to work with, and we wouldn't change a thing if we had it to do over again. I couldn't recommend this venue more! -

Our vintage inspired dream wedding come to life!
We are eternally grateful to Joan and the entire team at the Community House for helping make our dream day come to life. We were looking for an out-of-the-box, unique venue for our vintage-inspired wedding and the Community House was the one and only venue we toured. The library sold us! Guests and vendors WILL NOT stop raving about how perfect our wedding was and how much they loved our historical venue. The most gorgeous backdrop for all your special moments - we utilized each room and nook of the venue offering our guests so many unique and fun experiences. We had our service at the Episcopal church on the Main Street which allowed our guests to easily walk over to cocktail hour. We worked with Due Amici catering - referred by the Community House - and were blown away by their food, service, and execution of our day. The biggest bonus was the bridal suite and groom’s room which allowed us to spend ALL day at the venue - getting ready, first look, formal photos, etc. Most venues (especially mansions) do not offer you the venue all day - such a treat! The location is truly perfect for out-of-town guests traveling from Philly or NYC too. Thanks again for making our wedding day so special!-

Beautiful unique wedding venue for our October wedding!
We loved the community house! Absolutely stunning venue and different from what a lot of other venues have to offer. Each room has its own unique charm and our photos turned out stunning! The library was a great space for a ceremony and we got so many compliments. If you’re looking for something affordable, elegant and unique, this is definitely your place!-

Absolutely Gorgeous Venue (and Best Bridal Suite)
We absolutely loved our wedding at the Community House!! We first reached out during Covid via the knot and did not get a response. I believe we also called and left a message, but due to Covid, the office was closed most of the week. Luckily our caterer works with the Community House frequently and was able to get in touch with them. Joan actually opened the Community House for us to tour on a day it is usually closed and we had the whole place to ourselves. After touring the Library room, we knew it was the venue for us! The Community House has multiple rooms where you can have your ceremony, and the option for cocktail hour to be in the front room and/or flow to the front porch. It's an absolutely gorgeous venue with the best bridal suite I've seen (and I toured 8 venues). The bridal suit is huge; it consists of multiple rooms including a kitchenette and a room for hair and make up. I would absolutely recommend the Community House for your wedding!Community House of Moorestown's reply:
Thank you, Lauren for this great review. It was a pleasure working with you and Summit Caterers. I am so happy that you and Matthew had the wedding of your dreams with the Community House as the perfect backdrop! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

Vintage and quaint
Moorestown community house is a great wedding venue. We booked the venue a year before and got our date. After that, we had no contact with staff besides cutting them a check. The building is historic, spacious, the AC is strong, and the brick facade is beautiful. The included bridal suite is spacious and well placed. Plenty of room for 100 guests, which was both their max and our caterer's min.
If you use this venue we would highly recommended booking Due Amici and DJs Available as they have experience with the venue and kitchen. While you won't hear much from the venue after booking them, Due Amici is a great go-between and will make sure everything runs smoothly.
The only mishap on the day of was a dishwasher that caught on fire. Thank goodness we had Due Amici cause they were on top of the catastrophe and got it cleaned up quickly.

What else can I say other than BEAUTIFUL! I loved this venue, the ballroom and all of the other rooms have such great decor, that I didn't need to have a lot of extra decorations. Joan was very responsive and helpful. The bridal suite was not ready yet (due to the fire last year) for our wedding and the groomsman suite had just been finished. A few days before, Joan had gotten chairs, and mirrors and a table for the girls to use to get ready in the groomsman suite. One of the best things about this venue is that you have it from 9am to 12 am. So as a bride, it was GREAT not having to go anywhere. We got ready there, did first look there, had ceremony there then cocktail and reception. I did not have to worry about transportation at all.
Overall, i would recommend the Moorestown Community House.Community House of Moorestown's reply:

The Moorestown Community House is a GREAT place to get married! My husband and I had our reception here and it was absolutely perfect. The look of the building is so unique and rustic from the outside, and the ballroom is really a ballroom you can mold into the look you want. I looked at dozens of venues that provided a chance for my vision to come to life (without crazy carpets or decor that threw everything off). The community house was the one place that had a great room that I could truly make unique for MY wedding. I will say this however. While it is GREAT that all you pay is the $2500 rental fee and get the community house for the ENTIRE day and night of your event, it is a venue you must prepare for. They provide a list of caterers they work with, and they also provide tables and chairs (although I had different chairs brought in to fit the look I was going for). Other than that, it is on you to plan. This is great because it gives you the flexibility to make YOUR wedding everything that YOU want, but be prepared to plan! Advise--pick a good caterer that will take care of the bulk of rentals for you! Also, limit your guests to 175 TOPS. We had 175 and a full size dance floor and we fit comfortably in the room (we did have the bar in the garden room to provide more space). Overall, it is a great place to get hitched and make your wedding ceremony or reception unique and exactly the way you want it! -

The Perfect Wedding Venue!
Community House was an absolutely amazing wedding venue. The entire experience we had was absolutely perfect. We loved having the venue for basically the entirety of our day, having bridal and groom areas to get ready in, being the only wedding on site that day. Everyone was also extremely helpful through our entire process. I am still getting compliments months later on how beautiful and unique of a venue Community House was - it was a dream come true on our wedding day!Community House of Moorestown's reply:

I loved the MCH! The Venue was gorgeous and the space is great if you want a wedding with a lot of different rooms and to be the only wedding there. Joan was wonderful and was very accommodating throughout the entire planning process. She was very quick to get back to emails and was always able to provide answers to whatever we asked. We also were able to take several tours since we booked about 2 years out! -

A beautiful venue, but hot inside.
The Moorestown Community House is a gorgeous venue with lots of charm. The huge bridal suite and groom's suite are fantastic spaces for getting ready, and the best part is you get the entire building to yourselves starting at 9am, so you can spend the entire day getting ready there and truly enjoying the space. The only complaint I have is the temperature in the building. I understand it's a much older building so the systems may not be up to par. Our wedding was in the middle of August so it was already a hot day, and we had a little under 140 guests. But it was very toasty during the ceremony in the library and cocktail hour. We asked the staff to lower the AC multiple times, but no matter how much we lowered the temp, it was still very warm inside the building. Especially when wearing formalwear. Eventually, our caterer took control of the thermostat and knocked it down to the 50's , which seemed to work by the time we got into the reception. Overall, a great experience and we're very happy with our choice to host our wedding at the Community HouseCommunity House of Moorestown's reply:
Hi Amanda, We are so happy to hear that you had a great experience at the Community House of Moorestown. It was our pleasure to be part of your special day and happy that you had such a lovely wedding. Also, we appreciate your feedback about the temperature. All of our systems are up-to-date and well maintained but we apologize you had this experience. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope to see you again at the "House"! -

The venue is beautiful! You have use of the whole house for the day. The bridal party can get ready in the suite upstairs that has a room for hair and makeup to be done on site. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful for an outdoor wedding. It rained the day we got married but the adjoining Library was a perfect spot for the indoor ceremony. -
