Hiring LyKai was one of the very best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, her calming energy, warmth, and genuine care set her apart from the other planners we interviewed. You could immediately tell she wasn’t just looking to book another client — she actually took the time to get to know us, our story, and our vision. She is incredibly organized (a lifesaver for two people who are not natural planners), but never once made us feel like we were behind or difficult to work with. Instead, she kept us on track in the kindest, most supportive way. She respected our budget from start to finish — and what we appreciated most was her honesty. Even in moments when I was ready to splurge, she’d remind me of the vision we originally laid out and advise where our money would actually make the most impact. That kind of thoughtful honesty is rare, and we valued it so much. Her vendor recommendations were amazing across the board, and every detail came together seamlessly. On the actual weekend, she brought the perfect balance of calm and fun — the type of person you want to be around on such a high-energy, emotional day. Our wedding was truly unforgettable, and I can say without hesitation that it exceeded even our very high expectations, largely because of her. We are so grateful for LyKai and couldn’t recommend her more highly. 10/10 — if you’re considering a planner, stop searching and book her. You won’t regret it. -

Lykai was my planner for my March 2026 wedding, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. I chose partial planning because I love being involved and tend to be very type A, but I needed someone with real industry experience to guide me through the details and she was exactly that. She made planning from out of state feel seamless and stress-free. Lykai brought my vision to life while also offering thoughtful advice whenever I felt stuck or overwhelmed with decisions. I never once felt pressured, and always felt comfortable being honest about what I wanted (and didn’t want), which made the entire process so much easier. One of the biggest highlights was the vendors she recommended. Every single one was within my budget, and I genuinely loved working with all of them. I don’t think I would have found many of them on my own (& likely would have had to sacrifice quality or cost which I didn’t have to do thankfully). On top of everything, I felt her pricing was incredibly reasonable for the level of service she provides. If you’re looking for someone who can step in as much or as little as you need, while keeping you calm and confident throughout the process, I highly recommend Lykai and the Moments Remembered Events team. -

LyKai was such a kind and helpful presence throughout the entire planning process. In the months leading up to our wedding, she was always available to answer questions, help with details, and make sure everything stayed on track. LyKai with Moments Remembered Events was the best decision we made when coordinating our wedding! She went above and beyond with coordination and supporting us in making decisions. We are from states away and were traveling to California for our wedding with family. Even then, LyKai was phenomenal at supplying recommendations for nail salons and things to see and do around San Diego. She carried the load on our wedding day without issue and helped coordinate a crew of people. She worked within our budget to help make the best decisions we could. She responded quickly and helped us navigate any snags we expereienced. We could not have done it without her and could not recommend her services more! -

Choosing to work with LyKai was the BEST decision we made for our wedding! We hired LyKai as our month-of coordinator for our Indian wedding for 350+ people. From the get-go, LyKai was an absolute dream to work with. She immediately put us at ease when taking over coordination of all the details and she proactively offered suggestions and ideas rather than just being reactive to our requests (the latter is something that other planners often do). Her communications and follow-up actions were always so timely. And she took care of truly everything, from all the big stuff all the way down to things like making and framing the signs for our welcome table. She went above and beyond, and I always knew that we were in such good hands with LyKai. I never had to worry!
At the reception, we had 350+ guests and LyKai and her team handled every single part of the event with the utmost professionalism and grace. Starting with when I arrived at the venue and realized I forgot a steamer, LyKai immediately procured one (she also had a wonderful welcome package waiting with a sweet card and all the emergency items a bride could need!). We hosted our wedding at a museum where the guests were spread out throughout the museum during the cocktail hour, and LyKai and her team were able to get everyone into the main pavilion for us to start our program in a timely manner. At the reception, we wanted to take pictures with every table, which is quite a feat with so many guests, and LyKai said “no problem at all!” and handled it perfectly and kept everything moving so efficiently.
What stood out to us, and what distinguishes her from other planners, is that that not only does LyKai execute FLAWLESSLY, but she does so with the BEST energy and attitude - she is kind, warm, encouraging, supportive, and always stays calm under pressure and puts everyone around her at ease. She truly truly cares about the couple and their families (as well as the guests and all the vendors), and she continually demonstrates that through her words and actions.
If you’re looking to plan your dream wedding…do yourself a favor and hire LyKai! -

My husband and I got married November 3rd at Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad. When we chose the venue, the hotel recommended Moments Remembered, as they had a good working relationship with the coordinators. From the moment I met LyKai Johnson, she was a breeze to work with. I was initially planning this wedding myself since my husband was deployed overseas the first half of the year. I've never planned a wedding before and I am not much of a planner already, so she helped me with so many things- from decorations and flowers, to where to order our cake, and other things you could easily forget about or overlook! Thanks to LyKai, I was not stressed this entire time and actually enjoyed the process. LyKai and her team are extremely organized and she reached out to all our vendors and made a perfect timeline. The day of our wedding could not have gone any better. It's rare to hear that there were no hiccups or issues during a wedding. But if there were any in mine, I certainly did not notice. Elicia and her partner were with us day of and they were on it, working well with the hotel coordinator. They picked up and set up all our decorations and even packed them up at the end of the night, returning them to our room. This team even had a wedding kit ready with little gifts, toiletries, kits, and other things you may need day of- how cool and thoughtful is that! There was not a single thing I had to worry about the whole day thanks to this team. We are so blessed to have been able to work with such an amazing team. I highly recommend! It is so worth working with them so you can enjoy your special day stress free! -

Highly recommend! I went with the partial planning. LyKai helped me with some final vendors and ensured the wedding day was executed with perfection! LyKai is incredible.
Phenomenal, outstanding, incredible, one woman army. Words are hard to find to describe LyKai's excellence and our experience with her as our wedding coordinator.
Initially, friends and family members of ours were very skeptical from their own past experiences with coordinators. Only suggesting day of coordinators due to the venue's requirements and nothing more. By the end of our reception, those same people were praising LyKai's work and wishing they had hired her themselves.
From the beginning before we even signed her, LyKai's passion, knowledge and ability to transition concepts/ideas into reality were so evident. Those never waivered at any point. She is also kind, patient, personable, extremely hard working, efficient, organized and an excellent, prompt and efficient communicator.
Our wedding would have not been possible or nearly the same without LyKai. Her fingerprints were all over the entire process. She helped facilitate and streamline the planning process. She contributed her own ideas and built off of our own as well, converting both from concepts to reality. We booked our venue, hired her and every vendor afterwards was a recommendation from her and we were thrilled with all of them. Her day of execution was flawless.
We legitimately cannot say enough good things about LyKai as both a person and a coordinator and you will not regret hiring her. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. -

Not only did I recently work with the amazing LyKai Johnson but I’ve worked with her many times before and every time she brings her all to her weddings, whether it’s her great, clear communication, her willingness to adapt to changes, her dedication to a teamwork ethic, or her friendliness and her punctuality and professionalism. LyKai understands what an awesome wedding should look and feel like, both for vendors and for the bride and groom. As a professional wedding DJ I know how difficult some weddings can be to execute with style and grace as everyday in our industry we find ourselves at a different venue and with different clients (who we have to prove ourselves to regardless of how well yesterday’s wedding may have went); this is exactly why I enjoy working with LyKai, not only because she knows what she’s doing but she is also friendly and funny which keeps me feeling supported and ready to tackle any challenge especially if I’m feeling off my game on a particular day.

My husband and I just got married 3 weeks ago after working with Lykai since November 2021. Lykai's services were by far one of the BEST things we paid for in our wedding budget and fully worth every penny. We had a long engagement because I was in grad school and my husband was starting a new job so we got the pleasure of working with Lykai for almost 2 years and every step of the way she was always prepared, resourceful, full of thoughts & ideas, easy to communicate with, and responsive. As two very busy people, we were looking for someone who could not just execute but also be a thought partner and help us clarify some of our ideas and really bring the vision we had in mind to life. There were countless moments where my husband or I would shoot Lykai a quick text about an idea or question we had and she'd always respond so quickly with her thoughts or expertise, a couple of options for people or designs, or sometimes with a quote because she got that good at predicting whether we'd love someone/something.
My husband is Ethiopian and I'm Black & Filipino so we had 3 cultures that we were mindful of and wanted to have an active presence at our wedding. We had a lot of visions for what we wanted and Lykai and her team executed flawlessly. From a multi-cultural wedding perspective, there were different traditions and design elements we wanted to make sure were incorporated and Lykai always came with great ideas for how to make things work logistically while also making things apart of our overall guest experience.
Additionally, my husband and I were very intentional in specifically wanting to support minority-owned businesses and Lykai's rolodex for black, brown, female, and LGBTQ vendors is truly unmatched. Part of what made our wedding day so special is that every vendor we worked with (all of whom came through Lykai's network) looked like us, represented our values, or was just an incredible human/business to work with.
We could not have been happier with the day Lykai & Moments Remembered brought to life for our wedding and the incredible work her and her team did. Highly recommend! -

Lykai is the BEST!!!
Hiring Lykai as our wedding planner was the best decision we could have made! The only thing I would change about my wedding would be to have hired her SOONER! She literally saved me. I started planning my wedding on my own and I was so overwhelmed. Thank God for Lykai!!! Again, if I had known better back then I would have hired her from the start!
Planning my wedding with her was the best experience ever. She has so many amazing ideas and thinks of things I never even knew were a possibility. She knows so many vendors and just handles everything with such ease and so quickly! I only hope to answer texts and emails as quickly as her one day! Lol.
The day of my wedding couldn’t have been more amazing. Lykai and her team think of everything and truly took care of us and our guests and vendors. Everything went so smooth and we could just enjoy the day as her team handled all the logistics so amazingly. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. LyKai was a dream to work with! I could not have asked for a better wedding planner, because LyKai is the absolute best. I was a COVID bride, so I worked with LyKai for almost 2 years planning my wedding. I hired her for month of planning, but she was so generous and patient, answering all of my questions whenever I felt stressed or confused. She is literally one of the nicest people ever. Whenever I felt overwhelmed and stressed out, she was there to lend an ear and help calm me down. Even sometimes late at night when something was bothering me, I'd text LyKai and she's always have an answer either immediately or within a few hours. All of my friends and family commented on how top notch she was before and during the wedding. Keep in mind, I'm very Type A and have high expectations in general, and LyKai far exceeded mine. She is always on top of things and such an expert at what she does. My wedding day was more than I could have dreamed of and it was all thanks to her. I'm going to miss chatting with her now that my wedding is over, but I'll still be dreaming of my wedding day forever! Thank you LyKai!

We weren't planning to hire a wedding coordinator, but our hotel venue required it for the wedding day. We followed up with a few recommendations, and LyKai won our hearts from the first Zoom call. She really took the time to get to know us and make sure we were comfortable with her. And we were almost immediately. LyKai was beyond a Day of Coordinator. The communication began months before just here and there to keep us on track. She was there for the venue walk-thru, to answer any questions we had. She's super responsive. And maybe most importantly, LyKai had a super calming effect on my high anxiety level. She is just a sweetheart who will take care of making sure your special day goes just as you imagined. LyKai was such an incredible blessing to our entire wedding process. First of all, her professionalism and proactive nature made the planning, execution, and task list so manageable and Fun! She replied to inquiries immediately and always took as much time as needed to assist us with ideas or to completely answer any question we had. LyKai on wedding day cleaned, organized, packed and assembled everything. She did so almost without being seen. Somehow through all the excitement and energy, she managed decorations, the processional, last second changes, handling the music, and coordination with all our vendors (and much more) all in the background on wedding day. Incredible. I just had a ball and could enjoy every minute because I knew how “on it” this woman was. The most important thing for me was that by the end of the process I felt so close to her and was inspired by her gentle calm demeanor when so much was going on. My wedding went better than I even imagined. All the details and the love was so far beyond my expectation and I attribute a lot of that to LyKai. My best friend also used LyKai and we are both project managers. We are detail oriented and then you meet LyKai and it is a whole new level! My new husband and I are so blessed to have crossed paths with her and to have had her help through our 20 month engagement. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator, think no further, this was the best decision of the wedding. -

Best coordinator in the area!!
We booked LyKai for our December 18th wedding and she absolutely deserves the 5 star rating she has! She was always available for questions, assistance, and general advice which was so helpful during the planning process. She was a HUGE part in making sure my wedding day was stress free. We could not have done this without her, and beyond her work ethic she is one of the most honest, caring, and kind people I have ever met. She truly loves what she does and that is very clear to see! The Best Wedding Investment
If you want peace of mind on your wedding day, I HIGHLY recommend hiring LyKai. I hired her as a day of coordinator and to my surprise, she helped keep us organized and on track months leading up to the wedding. She’s SO experienced and good at what she does, there was many times she mentioned things I needed that I totally wouldn’t have thought of on my own. She is 10000% worth hiring. Definitely the best investment in our big day. My husband (oo husband hehe) and I look back and realize we should have hired her as a PLANNER because she is so amazing and we trust she would’ve taken so much off of our plate. I will recommend her to all of my friends and family members to at LEAST hire her as a day of if you can’t as a planner. You won’t regret it! -

Lykai is a phenomenal wedding coordinator! I can't say enough good things about her and her assistant. Lykai recommended wonderful vendors- hair dresser, DJ, florist, venue, and photographers- and saved us a ton of money! All of the venders were professional, competent, and very affordable. My husband and I got engaged in May 2020 and hired Lykai shortly after. Planning a wedding isn't easy, but planning a destination wedding during Covid was incredibly stressful. Lykai and Daniella were our MVP's (Most Valuable Planners.) They were with us every step of the way. We hired them for Month of planning, but it felt like they did so much more than what was required of them. Throughout the planning process, it was comforting to just talk to them and get advice on Covid wedding planning. They also kept us informed on the Covid situation/guidelines in San Diego, since we were not from the area. I also had one wedding emergency where I needed a new photographer just 3 weeks before the wedding(!!) and they immediately helped me find a new one! I wasn't anxious at all the day of our wedding, because I knew we were in good hands with Lykai and Daniella. On top of all that, they are so kind-hearted, easy to work with, affordable, and true professionals! You can't go wrong with them! They really helped us have the wedding of our dreams, and I couldn't have imagined a more magical day. Thank you both so much!! -

Planning a wedding during COVID is no easy feat but you CAN have the wedding of your dreams with vendors like LyKai. Due to a busy career, I had most of my wedding planned in November of 2019. But when you make plans, God laughs right? I was unsure if we needed a wedding planner but decided a "month of" wedding planner to be the best to fit our needs. We hired Moments Remembered in December of 2019 for her "month of" wedding planning package. Once COVID hit, I knew that my wedding plans would have to dramatically change. LyKai was with me every step of the way. LyKai was constantly coming up with ideas to make my new intimate wedding safe and fun. She went above and beyond her role to reach out to all of my vendors when we initially began making wedding changes. She is truly an expert planner with a lot of experience and I felt this in the months leading up to 8/22. She thought of all possible scenarios, plans A/B/C and so many things I did not even think of. I am a very type A personality and felt like I was "on top" of the wedding but truly, I could not have held it together with my career and DURING a pandemic without LyKai. She did so much magic behind the scenes to execute my perfect day. She was responsive to each early morning email and flexible with plans and changes. She created a wedding day packing list which was crucial I had all the decor and items we needed to have our wedding including our wedding license. The weekend of my wedding she surprised me with a wedding survival box of items, including a wedding dress hanger with my new last name. My wedding day was magical and she did an incredible job setting up the wedding/reception with all of my decor. It was exactlly how I had envisioned. Thank you LyKai! -

The best coordinator ever
This review is hard for me because I have so many nice things that I can say about Lykai. Basically, she is the best. Wedding planning is stressful but Lykai made the whole process so much easier. She reassured me the whole way through, guided us, and helped calm me. After meeting her for the first time I knew she would have my back and she did. She took such good care of us. The day of the wedding, I knew I didn't have to worry about anything. Just having her around made me feel at ease. Lykai didn't treat us like clients but more like family which I loved. I hired Lykai to be just my day-of wedding coordinator for my wedding last month In September. We met her at a bridal show in February or March and she was utterly charming and sweet then, and remained that throughout our whole wedding planning process.
She is extremely organized, patient, creative, and helpful. Lykai not only helped coordinate our actual wedding day to be the most perfect day we could imagine, but also went above and beyond in the weeks leading up to it. She kept us on schedule with our vendors and other wedding tasks, and even suggested ideas that we never thought of, like changing our flower vendor for a more personal touch (and which also saved money). Our family and bridal party loved her during the rehearsal and wedding.
I would highly highly recommend others to hire Lykai for wedding planning and day of coordination. She truly loves what she does, and will make your day better than you could imagine. Thank you Lykai!!! 😊💞💞 -

I can never say enough amazing things about LyKai! We booked her as a day-of-coordinator but she was in constant communication with us for more than a month before the wedding. From the beginning she was one of the most positive upbeat people I have ever met and it was such a joy to get to know her. I didn’t have a super clear vision of what I wanted my wedding or reception to look like but I described the elements that my now-husband and I had decided on and she was able to pull all of those together to create a seamless look. She even loaned us numbers for our tables and ‘reserved seating’ signs for our ceremony when she heard that we hadn’t gotten any yet. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her. Getting married in San Diego we figured we were safe with a fully outdoor venue (the Martin Johnson house) and literally had no plan for rain up until the week ahead of our wedding. This was despite the fact that the forecast had been predicting rain on our wedding day a full month out and refused to change. While doing the walkthrough with LyKai she helped us overcome our denial and come up with layouts for both sunny and rainy days and then did a ton of hard work contacting our rental company and others to get quotes for tents and figuring out how to make everything work. On the day of, she was the first to arrive and completely coordinated all of our vendors setup so that my bridesmaids and mom could focus on relaxing and getting ready with me. When we arrived at the venue everything was all set to go for the ceremony and looked better than I could have ever imagined. Because we were using our rain day plan that had only part of the deck covered with a large tent she had to coordinate flipping the ceremony spot to dining and then flipping it again to a dance floor a few hours later. This was a ton of extra work since our original plan had all three of these occurring in separate areas which meant it could have all been set up ahead of time. Despite this, LyKai never seem flustered or rushed and I don’t think any of our guests even noticed that anything was going on in the background while they enjoyed the cocktail hour or were asked to step inside the house for a video presentation made by my mom. The entire evening just flowed absolutely seamlessly and that would not have been possible without LyKai. The only question I got asked by any vendor was when our bartender asked if I’d like a drink or one of our waiters asked if I’d like some of the cocktail hour appetizers brought to our table. My husband and I could truly just enjoy the reception with our guests which was amazing. At the end of the evening, LyKai also stayed to pack all the decorations we had brought into a car for my brothers to drive back and supervised as our vendors packed up their equipment and left. I’m sure she was the last one to leave the venue. I give her my highest recommendation, she is an absolute professional, has a true eye for design, is so sweet, and will exceed your expectations in every way! Michelle Sent on 05/14/2018My husband and I were lucky enough to have Lykai as our wedding coordinator. Lykai was generous enough to give us a discount since I was referred to her through my cousin. I only booked Lykai for day-of-coordinator but she acted as if she was there for me right from the start. I reached out to her 10 months before my wedding and the moment we spoke on the phone, I knew she was the one for us. She was very personable in our first phone conversation where she got to know more about me and my vision. In the middle of wedding planning, I had a hiccup with one of my bridesmaids and she was available to chat me through it and gave me really good advice on how to handle the situation. I felt like I was talking to a friend. Lykai is very calm and holds herself well which makes a bride like me feel better in times of stress. Our emails, texts, and phone calls over the course of the 10 months were very professional and she always responded in a timely manner. Leading up to the wedding day, we were a week out and had a scare about rainy weather for our outdoor wedding. Lykai handled everything for us in terms of calling around to get quotes for tents and umbrellas. She hustled at the last minute to coordinate with all of our vendors to make sure we were prepared for bad weather. Luckily, mother nature was on our side and it ended up not raining on our wedding day and it was just the most beautiful day. Lykai is such a sweet person and is so considerate and caring. She even gifted me a box of emergency goodies for the day of which included a personalized hanger for my gown and a nice bottle of wine. Lykai went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure our wedding day was perfect and I would definitely recommend her to other couples 100%. Thank you again, Lykai! You were truly amazing.
