  Stunning classic dresses

  I got so many complements on my dress the day of our wedding! I loved that we were the only ones in the salon the day of our appointment.

  I was in town for a long weekend visiting family in Savannah when they told me about this gem of a boutique on Broughton...my wedding is in NYC, and after searching tirelessly back home for the perfect dress, Kaitlynn helped me customize my dream gown. I had the hardest time finding a gown elsewhere with lace that wasn't too "old" looking (I'm sure you know what I mean,) but Modern Trousseau had so many amazing, unique laces I knew I'd be able to find a gown there based on their selection of lace alone. I was found a gown that I loved, and I was able to add sleeves to...and even swap out the skirt design for another silhouette I preferred. I am so in love with what we came up with, and I can not thank Kaitlynn enough for not only listening to my vision, but helping me find/design the perfect gown! Highly recommend this place!

  I loved my wedding dress from Modern Trousseau Savannah, and we were able to customize a design to create the perfect dress for me. My mom, sister, and I loved visiting the boutique. Compared to some of the other boutiques we visited, it feels like such a special space, it is set up perfectly, and we were able to relax. I felt so bridal, and my memories of visiting Modern Trousseau are some of my favorite of the wedding planning process.

  I just want brides to proceed with caution if you order a CUSTOM dress from this store. PLEASE make sure the sales associate takes detailed pictures of you in the dress AFTER you have had it pinned where it needs taking in, changing, etc. Make sure every change is written down and that they give you a copy of every note taken on changes, etc. I had a certain dress made in a different fabric. The sales associate helped us change a lot of details of the dress i.e. making the back lower, moving the straps up drastically, making the bottom less full, etc. I took pictures after it was changed, so I knew exactly what it was supposed to look like. Few of these changes were done when I received the dress. I was never given a copy of the detailed changes, nor were any pictures taken of me in the dress or any of the changes made by the associate. I am now having to pay a huge amount of money for alterations (basically redesigning the gown) to get it to where it was supposed to be when I initially ordered it. The owner has also threatened to file a lawsuit against me because I wrote my honest review on Google.. I am so blown away at the lack of caring for the customer. I just want all brides that are considering purchasing a CUSTOM dress from here, know that if anything goes wrong, they will more than likely not help you out and then threaten you if you do try to stand up to them and make it RIGHT and share your honest experience with others. If you are purchasing an exact sample dress, the process might be a little easier, but if you plan to make detailed changes at all, PLEASE ask the associate to take notes, pictures, and give you a written copy of all the changes that you want. I wish I would have purchased from Blue Belle or Ivory & Beau. My wedding dress experience is ruined . :(

  While we are so sorry to hear that you feel as though your bridal experience has been ruined, do understand that we delivered a gown that was entirely true to our understanding of what you were looking to achieve based on our initial appointment with you. We are sorry if you feel that what was delivered differs from your vision; but do understand that the types of changes you are describing, in our experience (over a decade’s worth), reflect a discrepancy in expectations being relayed. Furthermore, these are all things that could be remedied in alterations, and any concerns easily de-escalated from that point. We feel as though upon first hearing of your concerns, we were beyond accommodating and understanding. Since that time, we have been on the receiving end of blatant name-calling etc. Once again, we are sorry to hear as though this has completely marred your bridal experience; but the product that was delivered was true to what was discussed at the time of sale. Modern Trousseau, as a company, has delivered thousands and thousands of custom gowns to happy brides all over the world!
