Pleasant to Work With, Very Professional!
We had a wonderful time on the day of the event. Preparation was timely as I was provided with a timeline from the start of the planning process. The Event coordinator and the operations Manager were always available up until the night of the event. The vendors we hired were recommended by the event coordinator and they were excellent choices. The event coordinator was willing to be flexible as we wanted to have the wedding ceremony outside initially as we decided to change to the inside two days before due to predicted rainfall which started at the end of the wedding, (blessings) as it turned out to be just as fabulous. Every guest was pleased and appeared to have a great time as they left the building. We realized a good way to have a sendoff without using confetti or rose petals, was having the guests line up in the hallway with the lights low holding glo sticks sending the bride and groom off. as the guests followed the bride and groom, the staff and vendors quickly begun the clean-up process -

Amazing!!!
Not only is the venue beautiful, but working with Meredith and her staff was a pleasure. She took all the work and stress out of the wedding day and made it easy!! We had an issue with a vendor and when we couldn't get in touch with them, she did!! Amazing!!! -

Breath taking
I have to say that this venue was absolutely perfect for my wedding. A lot of decor is not needed due to the ambiance of the venue. The staff was responsive and super helpful. They were very accommodating during the wedding. -

Absolutely Stunning
Helena and her team gave us the most incredible day of our lives! Mission San Luis is absolutely stunning and I can't say enough good things about this venue. It's really turn key and is beautiful with very minimal décor. The trees, and wooden backdrops inside and out make for the most beautiful scenes you could ever ask for. The ceremony and cocktail hour spaces are exactly what I was looking for for an outdoor wedding. The reception ballroom was perfect for our us to dance the night away! It really doesn't get better than this hidden gem in Tallahassee-

From the minute I was interested in this venue to the last conversation I had with them- I was BLOWN AWAY!! Not only is it a beautiful environment but the staff make the entire experience as smooth as possible. Helena was a God send! So informative, so on top of everything and always willing to help!! Loved Mission San Luis
I would just like to take a minute and say thank you to all of the staff at the Mission who assisted with my daughters wedding. They were more than helpful. Special thanks to Helena, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Beautiful venue for a Florida wedding
Maddison and her team at Mission San Luis were wonderful to work with! We had our wedding cocktail hour in the Courtyard and reception in the Mission Room. Everything looked amazing and was the perfect size for our wedding. We had about 130 guests present with a big 20x20 dance floor, and there was still plenty of room. Mission San Luis has beautiful grounds for photos and a wide variety of backdrop settings. Rental pricing was reasonable and included tables and chairs. Maddison's team made sure everything went smoothly on the day of our wedding, which gave us great peace of mind! -

We have nothing but glowing remarks for Helena and her team. They were very professional and personable throughout the entire process. Helena went above and beyond every time I contacted her requesting to show the venue to out of town guest in the months leading up to the big day. The day of the wedding, the staff was attentive and joyous. The venue itself was beautiful and allowed for an easy getting ready process with separate spaces for the bridal party and groom's party. We are very happy we chose Mission San Luis as the backdrop for our wedding April 7, 2018. -

Helena and her team are absolutely amazing. They helped us in having the most perfect wedding day I could ever imagine. They are SO friendly and went above and beyond what we expected in venue staff. I was a little nervous the day of but they helped put me at ease. The venue space is magnificent! We had a small courtyard wedding and rented outdoor chairs from them and they were beautiful. I am SO glad that we decided to get married at Mission San Luis. -

We wanted a beautiful wedding venue that would meet all our needs for our ceremony and reception and Mission San Luis was the perfect place. The beautiful historical grounds were perfect for our wedding photos and the courtyard served as great setting for a cocktail hour for our guests. We held our reception in the Mission Room which speaks for itself. Helena and her staff were responsive to all our inquiries and worked with our vendors to ensure that our wedding day went smoothly. Mission San Luis was a beautiful setting for a beautiful day! -

Mission San Luis is an amazing venue! Helena was so great to work with and answered any questions that I had. On our wedding day Amy drove us around on the golf cart for pictures. She was extremely sweet and helpful. Our guests marveled at the beauty of the space and really enjoyed themselves. I'm so glad that I was encouraged to step out of the box and inquire about this place. We loved that there are so many places for pictures! It is a beautiful venue. You will love it! -

Mission San Luis was actually one of the last venues we toured when looking for locations for our wedding but we immediately fell in love. It's a beautiful, classic venue that serves as a perfect canvas for any style of wedding. Not only was the venue perfect, but Helena and her staff were so helpful and accommodating the entire process. From the venue booking to the day of the wedding, Helena and her staff were available to answer any questions I may have had and helped my wedding planner ensure the entire day went smoothly. I always felt like Helena was only an e-mail or a phone call away if I needed her. I am so happy we held our wedding here, it was a beautiful and perfect day! -

Mission San Luis was a most excellent wedding venue. The staff is incredibly helpful and caring. They will go above and beyond to make your day perfect. We tried booking the Mission over 2 years before our wedding date because the site was important to us as a couple and the venue is accomdating to guests, rain or shine. We were so excited to book and get our favorite date, April 1st, 2017. Helena, the venue coordinator, will take you through all the steps to plan your wedding. She even ran to get my bouquet I had forgotten before walking down the aisle! Our day went amazingly, we would never choose a different venue. There is so much heart in that place. All of our guests were impressed with the architecture and scenery. Everyone, including the wedding party was comfortable and extremely happy. Thank you Helena and Mission San Luis!!! -

I cannot say enough good things about our wedding at Mission San Luis! I HIGHLY recommend choosing Mission San Luis for your wedding. First, there are so many ceremony site options, including a gorgeous indoor area if you're worried about poor weather conditions. We chose the indoor area as our primary ceremony site but I cannot think of a better, more romantic option to have as a backup than the indoor area at Mission San Luis.
Second, the staff is absolutely amazing! Working with Helena and her team was like having your own on site planning team. The day of our wedding, everything went so smoothly because everyone involved was so invested in making it the best experience possible. They genuinely cared and went above and beyond every step of the way. I was a long distance bride so I did all of my planning remotely. Helena was so flexible and always made herself available when I needed help or had questions.
I am so pleased and so happy with the outcome of our wedding because I chose the right venue for our day. It was absolutely magical! -

Mission San Luis was actually the first venue we visited, and I fell in love with it instantly. Helena was a huge help from the get go - she had lots of information, helpful suggestions, and plenty of advice for a bride trying to plan on her own. She was there every step of the way, even during the rehearsal the day before, when they were simultaneously working with another wedding. On the day of, she and her staff were awesome, and there for anything we needed, and with their help everything went smoothly. We had our ceremony inside the lobby of the visitor center, and it had an intimate, romantic feel that was exactly what I was looking for. -

We were incredibly happy with our decision to have our wedding reception at Mission San Luis. Helena was incredibly nice, helpful, and professional from paperwork to vendor recommendations, etc. we planned our wedding in 3 months and she helped us cover our bases through the whirlwind. Mission San Luis is absolutely beautiful, so much so that we knew it was where we wanted our entire wedding to be held. There are so many different locations that weddings of any size should be able to find their ideal ceremony location. We also appreciated not having to go far for the reception, which made the wedding feel much more magical and intimate. The staff was fantastic up to and on the day of the ceremony. Helena was willing to answer any crazy questions we threw at her and even helped us think of some scenarios we may not of otherwise planned. If you are just looking or even thinking about Mission San Luis, do yourself the favor of touring and then book soon because it gets snapped up quickly! -

I am writing this in the capacity that we rented Mission San Luis recently for our wedding reception. A beautiful venue , friendly staff & assistance and great management what else would one opt if it involves addressing a huge gathering. We were expecting a big crowd & wanted to cater our own food & drinks. Not very many venues in Tallahassee had that provision. The first look of Mission San Luis ball room stole our heart ; such a beautiful ambiance that you actually don't need any decorations. Ms Helena Sadvary , the event coordinator at Mission had very well planned our first meeting. She had multiple options to present how to make the event possible for such a big crowd. Every time I write her an email or leaves a voice mail; I have been promptly responded. The good thing about mission is they set up & break down the furniture & have ample of table, chairs, buffet tables to address a big crowd. After our first meeting Ms Helena sent us a detailed email with the lay out & the payments deadlines. What I liked about them is they give you a folder with the details of deadline & what to expect or be expected that ways you don't have to worry about the follow ups. During the period of two months preparation Ms. Helena was patient , showed us the venue multiple times to address different concerns & still smiling. The day of the Ms. Helena was present throughout & assisted the staff in the event management. It was her vision that we were prepared as it rained for time being.
Although Mission San Luis doesn't need any recommendations; its well known but still we were amazed by the hospitality of the management, arrangements & promptness to help. We are glad we selected Mission for our reception venue. -

What an amazing place. We recently held my daughter's Wedding here. It was fantastic! Helena was a delight to work with, she helped coordinate with the vendors, and gave us assurance that everything would go well...and it did!

I highly recommend Mission San Luis for your next event. Helena and her team went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was everything we envisioned. She found out that our event fell on a home game for FSU and homecoming for FAMU, they created maps for us to include in our invitations to help our guests use the best possible route. They worked wonderfully with our vendors and wedding planner. The site itself was ideal - beautiful lighting in the evening, perfect courtyard for cocktails and a location where we could host our ceremony and reception with ease. -

MSL was stunning! I was impressed with how magical it looks once you are able to put your own touch on it for your wedding day. It offered every possible wedding amenity we could have wanted including a back up plan for rain which is HUGE! I also was pleased with how well they worked with all of my vendors and vice versa. I had immediate follow up every time I contacted Helena with questions or concerns and that is so appreciated. All in all I couldn't have picked a more perfect place to get married and it is worth every penny! -

Mission San Luis was the perfect wedding and reception venue for this pair of brides! We were very impressed by the professionalism with which every detailed was handled by the MSL staff, especially Helena! In booking a venue, we were looking for somewhere we could have a beautiful ceremony and reception at the same location. This is definitely something you will get at MSL. The outdoor ceremony option is gorgeous, and the rain plan is just as nice inside. We ended up being married inside and comfortably seated just over 100 guests for the ceremony. This was a big stress relief for us to not have to worry about the weather. The Mission Room, where receptions are held, is absolutely stunning, and the courtyard area makes a great backdrop for a cocktail hour. There is nowhere else in town you will find a more versatile and beautiful wedding venue! -

Mission San Luis was the best venue to have our wedding ceremony and reception at. We chose this venue because of the variety of options in ceremony areas. This venue provided us with the majority of the rental tables and chairs, had the option for a back up plan due to rain, and was also a gorgeous background for all of our photos. The sales team was awesome to work with and I would highly recommend this venue to those who are looking for a reasonably priced venue for ceremony and reception. -

My family, husband and myself by far had the best experience at Mission San Luis with Helena! She was a joy to work with, very prompt to respond, was there the Friday before the wedding to help my decorator set up, allowed him to make as many trips as possible to get a feel for the space, was a huge help the day of the wedding, made sure everything was set up properly and that everything was to our satisfaction, the day ran so smoothly! She also made sure everyone was in place and knew where to be! She always had a smile on her face and was eager to give us suggestions if we were unsure of something! The professionalism of this venue and it's staff takes the cake, and I couldn't imagine recommending anyone else but Mission San Luis to future brides!
The actors made the experience that much more special because we had our ceremony when the area was still open to the public, the kids roamed before getting ready and talked about the neat people they saw in costumes, it definitely kept them busy so that there was no boredom. We had some incredible pictures before and after with the characters in the distance which made it very unique, and our guests LOVED looking around during our cocktail hour to enjoy the incredible scenery and see the actors in character as they were getting ready to close for the day, the little ones are still talking about it.
We loved the willingness of the staff to allow us in some of the buildings after hours to snap a few pictures we weren't able to capture before closing. The pictures turned out breathtaking. It was also incredible to have the golf carts there picking up some of the wedding party to drive back up to the reception after pictures. The little ones loved getting treated to a golf cart ride around the park while waiting for their grand entrance to the reception.

Mission San Luis is so beautiful and a perfect setting for a wedding. Our daughter was married there and all of our guests loved the grounds. If you book the Mission you are the only wedding that day which is wonderful. The Mission was great to work with and was able to honor some of our requests for photo opportunities.

We looked at several local venues, some cost more and some cost less, but one look at how pretty everything was at Mission and we knew. Helena and her team were great to work with. Throughout the planning process she was easy to talk to, receptive to meeting as often as necessary, and returned calls/emails very quickly, which to a Bride and Groom is very important. The day of the wedding we got so many compliments on how beautiful the grounds and event spaces were. Having a space for both the boys and girls to dress and get ready was also helpful. The grounds are so beautiful that not much additional decorating is needed and allows for so many photo opportunities. -

This venue was the PERFECT spot to hold our ceremony! The unique architecture made for amazing photos, and the friendly staff made for an amazing planning process! All of our guests were raving over how beautiful the spot was. We had half of our guests in the lobby and the other half looking down from the indoor balcony. Getting married in front of the large doors, which were covered in flowers, made for the perfect spot to exchange our vows. Everything was absolutely perfect, and I would HIGHLY recommend this spot for any bride and groom looking to get married in Tallahassee! -

Having a wedding in Tallahassee brings along some limitations as far as venues. Having a wedding where 300 guest are invited brings along another set of limitations. We were able to find a beautiful venue that could hold all of our friends and family (about 230-240 ended up coming). We DID NOT have a seated dinner (we did buffet and people came and went as we pleased). I just want to be clear here because the space would not have been big enough to fit all those tables, chairs, dance floor and band. However, doing things the way we did, we never once felt cramped, all our guest ate and were able to sit when needed and everyone had a fabulous time! -

After visiting several venues, my daughter and her fiance selected Mission San Luis. Mimi was wonderful to work with throughout the planning and the actual event. She readily answers your questions and works efficiently to see that every thing is considered. They even monitored the weather on radar for us on the wedding day! The ceremony in the courtyard was just beautiful, plenty of other room for cocktail hour and a great reception hall! All of our guest thought it was just beautiful! -

We were very pleased with our relationship with Mission San Luis for our daughter's wedding. The setting was spectacular and the photographs showed it. The courtyard was a wonderful place for cocktails and the room for the reception was comfortable and beautiful. Mission staff was on hand to facilitate our needs during the set up and the reception. I can't rave enough about the beauty of the Mission. When I saw this venue I knew this was it. Thankfully our finances lined up and I was able to get this dream venue. I mean it truly is one of the most gorgeous venues around and its a museum. No burlap or barns for me. So I could go on and on about how beautiful this venue in, but it also has an amazing, patient, accommodating staff! Helena, Madison, and everyone at the Mission takes a personal interest into your wedding, which has to be difficult when they do weddings EVERY week. If you are debating the mission and another venue.. don't!! The only suggestion I would make is perhaps letting wedding start set up before ten. (They do offer this but its like $550 an hour or something crazy). That was the only stressor of the day for a DIY bride was if we would have everything ready in such a short time. Love the Mission just do it. You wont be disappointed.

We used Mission San Luis to host a premiere of a historical documentary about Florida cattle heritage. The staff was wonderful to work with and the venue was absolutely perfect for our event. The theater was excellent - the audio/visual components worked great and our guests enjoyed themselves immensely. -

Lets just start by saying that everyone who came to our wedding at Mission San Luis was just completely blown away by the shear beauty of the Mission. Lots of our friends and family members mentioned that “This was the most gorgeous wedding they have ever been too”. I was so happy that everyone fell in love with this venue as much as we did. My husband and I decided to get married in front of the giant wooden doors in the front entry way which created beautiful pictures!! Mission San Luis staff was very helpful in any way they could be for us. We decided to do our cocktail hour in the courtyard with their stunning water fountain feature, which was also right next to where we were having our reception in the ballroom. It was a perfect place to have a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception t, which was exactly what we were looking for when picking out our venue. Thank you to all the staff at Mission San Luis for hosting our beautiful and unforgettable wedding!!

Mission San Luis is a treasure and a lovely place for a wedding! Visiting MSL for the 1st time i was charmed by its presence and beauty and simplicity. Helena also played a role in our decision to choose MSL as our venue. She is professional and personable. She was quick to respond and listened to our wants and vision for our day. We missed having Helena at our event (she was promoted--well deserved). I couldn’t have selected a more perfect venue. I initially choose Mission because they had an indoor ceremony space separate from the reception space. Our initial meeting with Helena was professional and informative. She answered all our questions and laid out all of the fees, so we were never surprised by anything extra we had to pay. There were several options and we were able to pick one that fit our needs. The venue itself is impeccably maintained and absolutely stunning. Our guests loved the day-passes they got to view the museum and complimented the stunning ceilings and spacious reception space. The only issue was the inflexibility of the rehearsal time. It was never made clear that the rehearsal had to be planned around venue availability and that you could only book a rehearsal time 1 month before the wedding. I brought this up so they could ensure future brides were more aware of this policy. They took this feedback incredibly well and continued to help me have the wedding of my dreams! -

My fiance and I walked into MSL pretty much expecting we would book it as our venue. We had gone on a date previously and fell in love with it. What we didn't expect was the tremendous service. Helena, the wedding coordinator, was able to answer all of our ceremony and reception questions as well as any historical questions about MSL. She returned ALL of my emails and many questions promptly, and she was very helpful in providing other vendors and options in the area. During our consultation there were no hidden cost dropped on us and the entire process went very smoothly. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and there are so many options to make the day yours. We are so excited for our big day! -
