Alicia is the best!

I had a fantastic experience with Alicia via Miss Harlequin through my hair and make up trial, wedding day, and reception day. Alicia also did make-up for two good friends and my sister-in-law for the reception and everyone was really happy with the look. Alicia was fun to spend time with, gave good recommendations on what options I had for both hair and make-up and took all of my requests into account. I really enjoyed working with her and hope to do so again in the future!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Lucy & her team at Miss Harlequinn. From start to finish, they made the entire wedding hair + makeup process completely stress free.

Lucy is not only iiiiiinsanely talented, she’s also such a joy to be around. We had a blast at my trial, & she made it super collaborative in terms of feedback (plus any notes I had were not only taken but perfected for my wedding day!). I walked out feeling truly like myself, just the most elevated version, and could not have felt prettier.

On the wedding day, Lucy and her team, we had the pleasure of having the fabulous Virginia + Jasmine there too, were incredible. They were flexible, fun, calm, & exactly the kind of energy you want in the room on such a big day. Every single person felt gorgeous and taken care of.

I could not recommend Lucy and Miss Harlequinn more. If you want to look and feel amazing and actually enjoy the getting-ready process, this is the team you want!

Lucy @ Miss Harlequin made me feel gorgeous!

It was such a pleasure to work with Lucy on my makeup and hair for my wedding! She’s extremely professional - from initial inquiry to setting up the service contract to her prompt timing the day of, her attention to detail and clear communication was very helpful in setting my expectations throughout the process. I provided her with examples of hair and makeup I was looking for, she gave her feedback/ advice and adjusted as needed during her execution. I felt comfortable giving constructive feedback and the outcome was exactly what wanted. I’ve never felt more gorgeous, believed it when I received compliments on my bridal beauty, and that confidence totally showed in my photos and videos! I wholeheartedly recommend Lucy and hope I can find another excuse to get beautified by her again!

Amazing wedding hair + makeup

The team at Miss Harlequin was great to work with. Very responsive and was able to lock the contract in quickly. Jasmin did hair and makeup for 4 of us and we were thrilled with the results. She kept timing well and helped us achieve our desired looks (I wanted Hollywood waves which are typically more difficult and she delivered). Would 100% recommend working with Miss Harlequin and especially Jasmin!

Perfect wedding

Lucy's team (Alicia, Jasmine, and Desi) did amazing work for my wedding day. The bridal party looked so gorgeous and everyone was very happy with their hair and makeup. Picture-Perfect Hair and Makeup Team

Alicia did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup for our March wedding. She was calm, friendly, and took my feedback from the trial to heart, ensuring everything was perfect on the day. Alicia also did my mom's and mother-in-law's hair and my mother-in-law's makeup. Gabi did my mom’s makeup and two bridesmaids' makeup. Everyone was thrilled with their looks!

Alicia's attention to detail was amazing, always making sure everything was just right. Lucy, the owner, was also very responsive and easy to communicate with during the planning. I would highly recommend their services and would love to work with Alicia again for future events!

Organized Company and Attentive Makeup Artist!

I had a great experience with Lucy and Miss Harlequin! I made a pretty last minute decision to have hair and makeup done, and Lucy offered flexibility when scheduling my trial (even letting me reschedule when I got sick). I worked with Alicia who was so nice and fun to chat with, and who really put a lot of time and care into helping me find my look and asking me guiding questions along the way to make sure I felt good about everything. Throughout the process Lucy was super responsive via email and even put together a time table for getting ready, which she didn't mind changing multiple times on my request. I think my only wish is that my tiara was a little tighter to my head on wedding day. It was super anchored in for my trial and I think the only reason it was a little loose is because we were a little short on time. It was really important to me that my eyeliner was correct, and Alicia NAILED it, so I was happy to spend our time on that. What's also great is that the Miss Harlequin artists are trained in both hair and makeup, so you don't have to have a ton of minimum services booked to just take care of a few people. Would highly recommend!

Camera ready and flawless

Lucy did my makeup, my mother's makeup and a little bit for my husband too. She made us all camera ready and flawless for the wedding day! In addition to the results, I really appreciated Lucy's pricing options. I didn't have a wedding party and a lot of other vendors had a spend minimum that would have blown our budget out of the water.

The results speak for themselves! I got many compliments on my makeup and how impressed people were how none of it melted throughout the evening. I felt absolutely gorgeous.

Incredible hair and makeup!

Lucy and the makeup artists at Miss Harlequin were excellent. Lucy was extremely transparent and communicative leading up to the wedding, spoke with me over the phone to discuss my vision, and responded to emails quickly. Pricing was transparent and well within budget. On the wedding day, artists were on time and a joy to work with! My artist, Alicia, was exceptional, both at the trial before the wedding day and on the wedding day itself. She listened closely to my vision, adapted on the fly, and made me look completely gorgeous. I felt comfortable and beautiful all night and the hair and makeup looked amazing the entire time!

Even the hurricane didn’t affect my makeup or hair!

Lucy was absolutely incredible! She used my inspiration photos and created something unique that was so very “me”—I couldn’t be happier with the end result! She took all of my concerns into consideration before applying make-up (the fact that my T-zone tends to get oily after some time or that mascara tends to smear under my eyes if it’s not waterproof) and created a masterpiece that stayed with me for the entire day without smudging or any need of re-application even though we were getting married during an actual hurricane lol! My hair was beautifully styled just the way I wanted and also withstood everything the nature threw at us that day without feeling stiff or inflexible. I highly recommend Lucy’s services to everyone—she’s a true artist who’s incredible at what she does!

Great quality service!

I booked Miss Harlequin for two wedding events. Lucy was quick to respond to all emails and was flexible when it came to adding people to my party or amending the day-of timeline. Alicia did my actual hair and makeup. She was fantastic. She was able to take the vision I had and make it a reality. Not only did my makeup last all day, she also gave me a little touch up packet so I could fix my makeup though it wasn't needed. Compared to the other services I researched, I found Miss Harlequin to be very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for any hair and make up needs!

Gorgeous Wedding Hair and Makeup!

The Miss Harlequin team completely deserves a top rating and rave review! Lucy replied to my request for wedding hair/makeup pricing and availability immediately and was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. My hair and makeup artist was Charina, and after our trial in December I knew she was the one for my February wedding. I sent her photos of how I wanted to look in advance, and Charina made me every bit as effortlessly glamorous and gorgeous and confident as a bride could dream of looking and feeling on the most special day of her life!! Charina is so lovely to work with and so warm and genuinely cares about the happiness of her clients. I also got hair and makeup for my bridal party and my mom and the groom’s mom, and everyone was so beautiful and absolutely glowing. Charina brought Alicia, who is an absolute hair wizard, and Maria, who is also such a lovely artist. I’m so deeply grateful, thank you all for helping to make my wedding day unforgettable and so perfect!

Bride with two looks

Emma from Miss Harlequin was absolutely phenomenal! She did my make up trial and after having another make trial by someone else who made me look like an 1980’s bride with the thickest foundation, I was so nervous I wouldn’t find someone for my wedding, but thankfully I found Emma! She was so good I hired her for my engagement shoot and to do my family the day of the wedding. She delivered gorgeous results each and every time. She arrived early the day of the wedding and gave me the exact look she did at the trial. I felt stunning during the ceremony and then she took me up a notch for my reception with a darker lipstick, eyes and changed my bun to a high ponytail - all in 15 min. I hate to admit it, but I slept in my makeup, and when I woke up I could have gone to a wedding! My hair and makeup did not budge. Emma all the way! She’s going to be my go to makeup woman for life. Highly recommend!

Timeless and romantic look with a calming presence

Miss Harlequin did makeup for my micro wedding - myself, the two mothers and the four sisters between my husband and me. It was difficult finding a makeup artist on short notice given our short engagement, so I was thrilled they were available on the Saturday of our summer wedding. Lucy was very responsive and highly organized, making it easy to coordinate.

After having an initial trial I wasn't happy with the week of my wedding, Lucy quickly set up a second trial with another artist that more closely fit the timeless, elegant, natural and romantic aethetic I wanted. Maria was absolutely everything I was looking for. She was punctual, personable, professional and fast and brought a calming, grounded presence to all of us the day of the wedding. The colors she had were gorgeous on our skin tones and everyone had a soft, natural look that enhanced their beautiful features. My family and I trusted her completely and felt gorgeous all day. She also had helpful tips about how to prep my skin for the day. Thank you Lucy and Maria for helping the most important women in my life and me look and feel like the best versions of ourselves on such a special day! Can't recommend you highly enough.

Amazing hair and make-up

Lucy was great! The communication with her (owner from Miss Harlequin) was super easy and she is prompt and thorough in her responses. For our wedding, Abby did the bridal make-up and hair. She is super friendly and easy to talk to and so much fun. She was on time, courteous and very talented. My hair and makeup stayed intact for the entire day. She even gave me extra make-up tips I can use for my day-to-day basis. I highly recommend her.

Amazing Make Up and Hair

I booked Miss Harlequin for hair and makeup for myself and two of my wedding guests.
As I am from Scotland and was getting married at Central Park I was a bit nervous at first as I didn’t have time for a make up/hair trial and was worried that the styles in New York compared to Scotland were different.
As soon as I met Lucy and her colleague I was put at ease and all my worries went away! The appointment was so much fun! We all had a good laugh and blether. I didn’t really think much about how I wanted my hair and make up done, I quickly had a look at some photos and I was so pleased with the end results.
Lucy went the extra mile and helped me get into my wedding dress and made sure that all the buttons on the back were done (there were lots, sorry!) this helped me out a lot as I only had a couple of guests at my wedding, who were busy getting themselves ready so I really appreciated that!
It was a bit windy on the day of our wedding and we got married outside, but my curls stayed in all day.

Lucy is IT

Wow, I couldn't have asked for a more exceptional makeup artist and hair stylist! Not only was Lucy kind and incredibly fun to work with, she was patient and worked with me meticulously during our trial to help me bring my vision to life. She readjusted the small details with care and finesse to help truly nail the look I wanted for my big day. My makeup was also breathtaking! I'm a big believer that you should look like yourself, but slightly more glam on your wedding day, and that's exactly what Lucy delivered. I looked exactly like me, only with gorgeous, blush-toned makeup that perfectly complemented my flowers and my dress. To top it all off, my hair and makeup were rock solid throughout the whole night, looking impeccable in pictures and holding up on the dance floor. Lucy and her team are a dream, and my bridal party was also incredibly impressed with the results of their hair and makeup. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Lucy and the entire Miss Harlequin team are amazing!! If you’re thinking about booking Lucy as the Hair & Makeup artist for your wedding, do it - I cannot recommend her enough.

Throughout the entire process - from our first intro call, timeline planning, hair/makeup trial, and our actual wedding day - Lucy was extremely organized, prompt, personable, and easy to work with. Her friendly personality puts you at ease, which was so helpful on the big day.

My hair and makeup was absolutely gorgeous!!! I felt so beautiful (but not overdone) and received so many compliments. Her entire team did an amazing job with my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law. They worked efficiently and made sure we were ready on time.

One of her team members, Cati, also stayed with me through the ceremony to give me touch ups throughout the photographs and before the reception. She was incredibly helpful and I’m very glad I planned to have her stay the extra hours - definitely worth it!

Lucy and Her Team are Rockstars!!

I first reached out to Lucy in April of 2019 to inquire about hair and makeup services for my wedding, which at the time was planned for May of 2020. From that first interaction, through COVID and two postponements, to finally having my wedding this October, Lucy was amazing! She is incredibly talented, professional, reliable, supportive, compassionate, and all-around wonderful! She gave us such peace of mind, which I especially valued during the height of the pandemic when NY was locked down and there was so much uncertainty. She stuck by us, answered all of my neurotic questions, and did all she could to help me stay positive. When I finally met Lucy in person for my second trial, it was like reuniting with an old friend! I knew I was in great hands. She is truly dedicated to making your vision a reality. Also as someone with sensitive temperamental skin, I LOVE that all the products they use are organic and hypoallergenic. When our big day finally arrived Lucy and her team were phenomenal! My bridal party’s hair and makeup were flawless! Lucy traveled with us to the venue and stayed while we took our pictures before the ceremony. I’m so happy Lucy was there because it was a very windy day and she kept us all looking perfect! Hiring Lucy is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Flawless experience!

Lucy and Alicia were amazing! My wife and I worked with them for our hair and makeup and we could not have been happier. Lucy was incredibly responsive and easy to work with from the beginning, and we were thrilled with the way our hair and makeup turned out. Lucy also did my mom's makeup and she loved it. Easy to work with & beautiful outcome

Lucy was a gem to work with and totally flexible as my wedding plans changed from a small elopement in June 2021 to a full-on party in October 2021. Doing business with her was easy as she was frighteningly responsive and quick and on top of reminders for things like invoices. I really appreciated feeling like she was helping me manage my end of the responsibilities.

Cati was my and my mom's hair and makeup artist (and I did a trial with her, too). She was amazing to work with, and we got along really well. During the trial, she took almost three hours with me to try out two different types of hairstyles (up and down) using the extensions I provided. For makeup, she totally got my desire for a natural look and nailed it. I felt that she took feedback with true professionalism and not at all personally - everything was about "okay, no problem, how do we make it what you want?"

On the actual wedding day, she was right on time and got our hair and makeup done in a timely way. She also continued to adapt, like when I said I thought I needed a little more drama in my makeup. My mom also has tricky, short hair, and Cati tried several things until mom felt it was right. That kind of dedication to client satisfaction is so important and we really appreciated it.

One last thing - Cati wore her mask without fail, which I really appreciated as a pregnant, Covid-conscious bride. Thanks to Cati and Lucy and the whole team for excellent service.

BREATHTAKING hair & makeup on my wedding day!!

Let me start by saying - BOOK this company!! Lucy and her team MUST do your hair and makeup - they are top notch, crazy talented and made me look and feel like a true QUEEN on our big day!

My husband and I got married in November in Central Park, NYC and Lucy and Alicia did my hair and makeup early that morning. I had NO trial run with them as we are from Oklahoma. So I was nervous about how everything would turn out. But we had the best conversation and laughs! When it was time for the ceremony, our wedding party walked from our Airbnb, rode the subway and walked the rest of the way to the venue - my look was STILL pristine! Through the wind, cold and joyous tears during the ceremony, my beaten face and snatched hair didn't move an inch. I danced throughout our reception...I even took a nap and wore the SAME hair and makeup out all night in the city! I received compliments from friends to strangers, feeling so stunning for my husband on our wedding day. Do yourself a favor and add them to your vendor list because Lucy is much more than that - she's an angelic, patient, hilarious and beautiful human who for over a year, planned all the details with me, ultimately making me the most gorgeous bride I could have ever imagined! Thank you both for your promptness, friendliness and talent. I'm forever grateful for you, Lucy and Alicia!

Making you look and feel Beautiful

Hair and makeup was one of the things I was most worried about when planning my wedding. I hadn’t gotten hair or makeup done professionally in over a decade, and was worried I would end up looking like someone else. Lucy was incredibly responsive and helped me set up a trial in the small window I would be in town, and hit the nail on the head pairing me with Zully. Zully perfectly understood what kind of vibes and look I wanted for my wedding, and put me at ease. Lucy then organized two extra artists so that we could make sure everyone’s hair and makeup would be done early enough. The two artists she sent were just as incredible as Zully. My mother in law does not speak english, but the makeup artist really went out of her way to make her comfortable and use Google translate (and some hand gestures) to make sure she was happy with everything. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and my hair and makeup held up perfectly all night and into the wee hours of the after party.

Amazing service!

It was amazing working with Lucy and her team for my wedding. Lucy is so responsive and clarifies all the questions on time. Lucy is detail oriented and organized, Lucy would provide summaries and all the information needed on time. I worked with Alicia for my makeup and hair, she was simply amazing. I loved her work. She made me look so beautiful, I got so many compliments on my look. She understood perfectly what I wanted, and made it happen. She worked on my maid of honor, my MoH absolutely loved her look.

Gorgeous job!

Lucy was fantastic! My makeup looked natural and I felt like a better version of me. I didn’t need touch ups all day. I was so concerned that my curls wouldn’t hold past my first look, but they were beautiful and my headpiece stayed put over nine hours later! Thank you, Lucy! You were such a pleasure to work with!

Best decision for my wedding day! 100% Book Lucy.

I had a wonderful experience working with Lucy! She knew exactly what "look" I was going for (natural and glowy), and she absolutely delivered. She knows exactly how to make you feel your best on your wedding day. I should also note that my makeup and hair lasted the entire day!

Not only is Lucy professional and excellent at her work, but her personality was so sweet and easy to talk to while you're getting your hair/makeup done. Truly helps with the wedding nerves! Before the wedding, she was also very on top of her emails and would respond to all of our questions within 24 hours.

NYC Elopement

Lucy is perfection. From start to finish she was such a professional- timely responses to e-mails, payments were easy, and she was on time in NYC with some UN thing going on which made getting around nearly impossible.

Lucy made me look and feel so gorgeous on my wedding day. She uses high quality products that do not move in 88 degree heat. She even left me with some lipstick for touchups.

Utterly Amazing!

Wow! Okay! Lucy is AMAZING. I can't stress that enough. She is so fun and extremely professional. It didn't even feel like I was getting ready because I had so much fun with Lucy. I sent her some photos of hair and makeup styles that I really wanted and my gosh she got it down to a T! The hair style was exactly what I requested and the makeup look was very light, natural, romantic (as requested!) while still looking like myself as I normally don't wear a lot of makeup in general. I looked and felt STUNNING so much so that I made my husband-to-be cry! He kept telling me all day that I looked so beautiful! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Lucy for NYC brides!

Beautiful Hair & Makeup by Cati from Miss Harlequin

I worked with Cati from Miss Harlequin to do my makeup and hair for my wedding in September 2021. Cati also did the hair and makeup of my sister and the hair for my five year old niece. I only have positive things to say about the overall experience working with Lucy at Miss Harlequin to arrange for the services and Cati’s creativity and professionalism providing hair and makeup for the wedding. Lucy was super easy and pleasant to work with and very responsive. When you have so many moving parts with a wedding, including during a pandemic, it is really nice to work with someone who makes things easy and is super professional. I also appreciated that in their social media and on their website they featured work with clients of diverse backgrounds and complexions, which I surprisingly didn’t see too much in my search of other vendors. Cati was also super pleasant and professional to work with. She was always on time and followed all Covid protocols no problem. I showed a couple of pictures of the look I was going for and she was able to deliver with ease - I barely requested any adjustments. The makeup and hair lasted all night and most importantly for me I felt like I looked like an enhanced version of myself. The makeup and hair was very polished but still popped in photos. Cati was also very calm day of and easily able to work with a five year old flower girl who was also super excited about how her hair looked. Overall I definitely encourage you to work with Cati and Lucy at Miss Harlequin!

Perfect In Every Way

I wanted a modern and effortless look for my wedding and Lucy nailed it. Sometimes, it takes a lot of effort to look effortless and she was one of the few people who had the skills and taste level to make it happen. On our wedding day, Lucy arrived promptly at our apartment at 7am. An hour and half later, I had a golden glow and the perfect pony tail. My hair and makeup lasted through a morning ceremony, a roof top brunch, and a 4-hour out door dinner (and then some). It was an absolute pleasure working with Lucy. Not only is she highly skilled, she is also an excellent communicator. This ensures that you will have exactly what you want and feel the way you want to feel. I cannot recommend Lucy enough!

She got the look I was going for PERFECTLY

As I planned my NYC elopement, one of things I worried about was hair and makeup! I was happy to find a one stop shop with Miss Harlequin. From the moment I reach out, she provided all the details in an informative email. I booked my trial for when I would be in town and she could not have been more charming. I did not want a natural look for my bridal day. I had an idea of what I wanted, I wanted to look glamourous and she nailed it, from the makeup to the hair. Wonderful artists, wonderful people

Hair and makeup was probably the aspect of wedding planning I was most nervous about—what if I didn’t look like myself, what if a style I felt uncomfortable in ended up being documented in photos I’ll look back on decades from now? I am so, so happy I found Miss Harlequin!

Cati immediately put me at ease during our trial and understood exactly the natural but glamorous look I was going for. I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day!

Alicia and Skye, who did gorgeous hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, were also a delight—and of all the vendors I worked with, Lucy was the most prompt to respond to my (many!) queries.

The best there is!!

I cannot say enough good things about Lucy at Miss Harlequin! Not only is she a lovely person but she is a magician at hair and make up and perfectly balances making you feel glamorous and stunning without any sense of being overly done or unnatural. She was sweet, punctual and totally incredible. And she was able to nail the look I wanted, even though it was nothing like the trial we had done a few months before since I changed my mind at the last minute. I can't recommend her enough!

What can I say about Lucy? She was FUN, flexible, and talented as a hair stylist and makeup artist! She arrived a few minutes early, and was independent with setting herself up in my rather small hotel room- I didn’t have to worry about a thing. As I was an out of town city hall bride, I was unable to have a trial done beforehand, but Lucy took the photos I showed her and reproduced a completely fabulous and natural look, making me feel my most beautiful self for my wedding day. It was honestly like having a friend around for a few hours, laughing, chatting, and making me feel completely at ease. Thank you Lucy for your amazing work!!

If you want to look like yourself, just better, Lucy and her team are for you. I couldn't have been more over the moon about how my bridal hair by Tatiana turned out. Lucy responded with my many nervous bride inquiries quickly and with care. I went in for the trial a full 8 months before the wedding because I had a big work project that took up all of my time and was nervous that I wasn't sure what would work best. Lucy and Tatiana tried a few things and told me that as I got closer to the day even if I changed my mind for what I wanted, they'd be able to handle it. And that's exactly what happened - on the wedding day I decided that I wanted flowers from our DIY centerpieces in my hair. Tatiana was a total pro and with no fluster at all about a total game changer request gave me exactly what I hoped for from a photo I found on Pinterest. The 'do fit under the veil perfectly, looked incredible after the veil came off, and stayed put as I danced the night away. My makeup was wonderful and as I now look at the photos I will be eternally grateful that Tatiana helped me look and feel beautiful. Najeebah did my bridal party's hair and everyone looked incredible and confident. She was also a joy to have in the room and her talents shine through in the photographs, too. Lucy is beyond wonderful!! The correspondence and transparency was timely and detailed. After looking at a few inspiration images I had brought to my trial, she was able to recreate exactly the look I was going for. Even incorporating my hair extensions. The day of the wedding she was prompt, got right down to business and kept a relaxed chill vibe with all the gals. Lucy took all my bridesmaids hair requests and created three very stunning and classically beautiful looks. She even asked me if I was okay with the requested hair styles as to not over shadow my own hair for the day. Very thoughtful! Lucy took part with the gals in keeping me calm and joking about. When I she was finished with my hair I was amazed at how stunning it looked and could not have imagined it any other way. Is there more than 5 stars? Lucy was INCREDIBLE. I only met her the day of my elopement but I showed her some photos of inspirations and she NAILED it! Braided on one side, twisted on the other and twisted all together in the back! My makeup was flawless. Lucy had put on an original set of eyelashes on me and she insisted she changed them because she would be too worried about me and I'm so glad she made that call because the individual sets she put on looked much more natural (the look I was going for). Did I mention I needed to be ready for sunrise photos? Yep, Lucy came to my hotel before 3am to get me ready. We chatted like we already knew each other and it was just so perfect. Lucy, I can't thank you enough for making me feel beautiful on my big day! The hubby was so happy with my look too!!!

I would highly recommend Miss Harlequin to any bride looking for hair and makeup services on her big day! Unlike a lot of the competitor businesses which only offer makeup alone or hair alone, Miss Harlequin is a fantastic choice if you want to just keep things easy (yes please!) and they do both at a very reasonable price. The entire team was EXTREMELY nice and fun to be around. You only want good vibes on your wedding day and Miss Harlequin provides that.

And let's not forget how freaking beautiful we looked thanks to Lucy's team! My bridesmaids and I felt amazing on my wedding day and I can't thank Lucy's team enough. Cati did my hair/makeup and Natasha and Gwen did hair/makeup for my bridesmaids. I also had to pleasure of meeting Lucy during my trial and she was so cool and had AMAZING style! Everything about my experience with Miss Harlequin was perfect from the very first communication via e-mail with Lucy to the day of my wedding. Lucy was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and although she wasn't available on the day of my wedding, she was able to get me an appointment with her Senior Stylist Cati James. I was pleased with her work during my trial, but she REALLY impressed me on the day of my wedding. I've never felt so beautiful in my life! These women are SO lovely to work with--their presence is pleasant and their work is utterly gorgeous! I must say--I am **picky** and I could not have been more satisfied with the end result. I could not recommend them highly enough. You will NOT regret it!

Lucy made my day! She came all the way out to my grandmothers home in Queens, and was there for me all morning. Her sense of style is compounded by the ability to really listen to what the client wants - both me and my maid of honour came out feeling like a million bucks. The price is a little more than other places, but it is so worth it to know you are getting the best possible look on your special day. I cannot recommend Miss Harlequin highly enough :)

I had a trial and bridal hair with Miss Harlequin. Paulina was excellent. Not only is she an amazing stylist, she is absolutely wonderful as a person. She was very receptive to what I wanted. I was torn between an updo and having my hair down. I did have other hair trials prior to miss Harlequin and Paulina hit it out of the ballpark. I'm not exaggerating when I say that booking Lucy from Miss Harlequin to do my bridal hair for my wedding last month was literally the least stressful and most easy vendor booking and experience for the entire event. I cannot recommend her skill and expertise enough. She nailed the complicated 19th century/historical hair style I wanted on the very first trial. She is extremely knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. She is also a very calming presence which came in handy when she became my impromptu event planner the day before my wedding. When I did not feel well she even offered to go pick me up some medicine from the drug store. Not only is she a total hair master, but she even kept thinking of even better ways to improve my hair style during the months leading up to the wedding. I was very impressed by her dedication. I wore a lot of hair extensions (as per my request), but Lucy worked her magic and I didn't need to change my hair style at all during the entire wedding. I was previously worried about the weight of the extensions, but Lucy made this and all my other bridal worries disappear Iike a magical fairy godmother. She also breezed through my bridesmaid's and my mother's hair styles. In a blink of an eye they were done and totally satisfied with her work. She is extremely professional and personable, and working with her from initial email to the hug goodbye after my wedding reception was a pleasure. To any bride looking for a bridal stylist look no further than Miss Harlequin. If I could rate Lucy and her business 10 stars I would. She is a true artist.

I can't recommend Lucy highly enough. From the trial to the day of, she was literally amazing. I didn't have a specific idea of what I wanted, and she made great recommendations and worked so quickly to show me some options. I felt so comfortable working with her and as someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup, I was so glad that the final product felt like me, just enhanced. I cannot begin to explain the level of quality and professionalism this team has. Absolutely outstanding work! I saw Lucy Flint twice before my wedding and she was so incredibly collaborative but more importantly fun and inviting! She's committed to you and making sure you look wonderful for your day. Not only that, I had 4 bridesmaids and 2 mothers and only allotted 3 hours for all hair and makeup and they did a phenomenal job! I was actually done EARLY! The most important factor here is that they can do hair AND makeup. It truly makes life easy. Also - their ability to literally do ANY STYLE you want is amazing. Finally, the quality of the make up they use is some of the best in the industry! My makeup did NOT BUDGE and I barely had any shine throughout an entire day (that was HOT)! I would not hesitate for a second to do at the very least a trial with Lucy's team. But I will guarantee you will NOT be disappointed if you select this team for your day. I found Miss Harlequin when I was searching on The Knot website. I had noticed that all of the reviews were positive so I decided to give Lucy an email. Lucy's response was very prompt and any time I was looking for information or to change date/time she was very accommodating. I also really liked the fact that she came to my hotel to do both my hair and make up on my wedding day as this made it stress free. From the minute Lucy arrived she was very pleasant and easy to talk to. My hair and make up looked perfect and this made me feel amazing on my wedding day. I am from the UK therefore I was unable to have a trial due to the length of our stay in New York, however Lucy recommended that we had a 2 hour appointment instead of 1.5 hours so that there was extra time to show/discuss any ideas I had in mind. Also, I asked Lucy if it was possible for her to help me into my wedding dress and straight away she replied saying it would be no hassle at all. I would definitely recommend Lucy and her team if you are looking to book your hair and make up for your special day!

Miss Harlequin was great - Lucy is incredibly responsive, which is so reassuring when you're dealing with so many vendors. We worked with Cati and Tatiana for day-of hair and makeup. Both of them did a wonderful job, especially with the makeup. Cati worked with me to redo parts of my updo when I wasn't completely happy with it, and she was flexible and relaxed the whole time. They are all a pleasure!

Miss Harlequin is a precious jewel. From the very first email to the last dusting of setting power, coordinating with Lucy and working with the senior makeup artist (Tatiana) was a high-class experience that truly allowed me to enjoy my wedding day. They are hard-working perfectionists who will listen to you and collaborate with you to help execute your vision. Tatiana was a super-trooper and worked like a true pro to get me, two bridesmaids and two moms looking glamorous for the rest of the day. Everyone really enjoyed their time in the chair and I couldn't have been happier! Both my makeup and my hair stayed put and perfect into the early morning and I'll say with confidence that I've never felt more beautiful.

I had a number of other options fall through in the weeks before my wedding, so I *especially* appreciate Lucy's communication skills and her ability to soothe frayed bridal nerves. Don't overthink it, go with Miss Harlequin and you will not be disappointed.

Lucy at Miss Harlequin is amazing. From the moment I booked with her, to my two hair and makeup trials, to the day of my wedding, she never ceased to wow me. She's so sweet and calming, with such a cool and laid back vibe all in one. She's the best person to spend your pre wedding hours with. Lucy and her amazing second artist Abby had to be upstate at my venue incredibly early in the morning, and they showed up right on time with huge smiles on their faces. They did makeup and hair for my entire bridal party and mothers of bride/groom, and everyone looked like a goddesses! They completely nailed my bohemian, relaxed and very natural vision. AMAZING! Lucy did my hair and make-up for my wedding just four days ago; and, I looked like my most glamorous self! I contacted Lucy in the summer, as my spidey sense was telling me that my initial hair and make-up vendor wouldn't be up to par. She was one of the initial vendors I reached out to when making hair and make-up inquiries. I remembered her because she responded to me so quickly, and this was no exception. She was prompt in sending me her schedule; and we got a hair and make-up trial on the books! At the trial, my hair and make-up were absolutely perfect. Lucy only uses air brush make-up, and the concealer and lip gloss she used was so fantastic that I looked luminous and was sure to jot the names of the products down so I could buy them. For reference, my sister was with me at the trial, and her career in broadcast journalism has given her a keen eye for this sort of thing. She was left speechless at how I looked! Fast forward to scheduling hair and make-up for my bridesmaids. I was completely blown away by Lucy and Miss Harlequin's accommodations and professionalism here. Initially, I had four girls scheduled including myself, but health issues put one of my girls in an ambiguous spot regarding whether or not she'd even be able to come to the wedding. I informed Lucy immediately, and not only was she responsive, but she was extremely kind and compassionate about the situation, too. Though I did have to cancel for this friend, I ended up adding another girl later; and, even another make-up appointment the day of! I sent tons of emails and never once did Lucy or her staff make me feel like I was a burden, as they answered all of my questions kindly and promptly! My one recommendation is to spring for Lucy--she's more expensive as a senior stylist, but she's the best and is worth it. Initially, I was startled by how pricey I thought Miss Harlequin was, but I soon realized her prices were competitive; and, you DO get what you pay for! :)

I can't recommend Lucy highly enough. From the trial to the day of, she was literally amazing. I didn't have a specific idea of what I wanted, and she made great recommendations and worked so quickly to show me some options. I felt so comfortable working with her and as someone who doesn't wear a ton of makeup, I was so glad that the final product felt like me, just enhanced. Lucy and her team did hair and makeup for five of us on my wedding day and it all turned out beautifully! We all felt like the best version of ourselves, which is exactly what we were hoping for. I did a hair and makeup trial early on and had so much fun with Lucy that I knew I wanted her to be a part of my wedding day. I even changed my mind on what I wanted in the way of wedding hair (post-trial) and Lucy worked with me on the fly and put together a gorgeous updo.

The team was efficient but patient, and was friendly and fun to be around. I had a tight schedule and they amazingly worked with us to make it all happen. They were flexible and super responsive. And of course, I have to mention that my makeup and hair lasted through a late night! Highly, highly recommend Miss Harlequin!

Lucy is an amazingly talented wedding makeup artist/hair stylist, and for her quality of work, you literally cannot find a better deal in the city!

I got married on May 20th at 3 West, and I did a lot of research for each of my vendors - I contacted around 10 makeup artists. Lucy had the best reviews, the most reasonable pricing (especially for airbrush), and the all-in-one versatility that I needed (a lot of people either do makeup or hair but not both).

She came with 2 other girls for myself, my mother / mother-in-law, and 4 bridesmaids about 4 hours before when I needed to be ready by. It was such a pleasure working with her and hearing about her fun career / her own amazing wedding (seriously ask her about it, she's sooo cool) that the time just flew by.

I had felt that my hair was a bit too loose after the trial, which she really took into account and put in extra bobby pins and gel to make sure it stayed on better. On wedding day, my hair stayed up amazingly well from when it was done by 1pm to when my afterparty ended at 3am, and the airbrush makeup lasted through many tears.

Lucy is worth every penny, I cannot be happier with how my wedding pictures turned out!

My wedding hair and make-up were great, and Lucy made the process of scheduling and payment simple.

I had Cati as my stylist, and Desi styled my mother and in-law. Both were wonderful ladies to work with, and really helped me stay calm throughout the morning. My typical make-up is very simple, and Cati really heard me when I said I wanted to look natural. Desi did a wonderful job with my mother, who can be pretty particular.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who really wants their make-up and hair stylist to listen to what they want!

Lucy was a true godsend. What a fun and amazing personality! And so so talented! I felt so gorgeous on BOTH my wedding days! My husband and I said our first wedding of the week at the courthouse on a Monday morning. Lucy was at my place bright and early at 6:30 on a very rainy morning, ready to work and help me pull together my look. We laughed and had fun and drank tea and in no time at all I felt more gorgeous than ever! We snapped gorgeous photos and I felt appropriately glam for our courthouse event! Then! For our big wedding party, with family in from out of town, and our Soho party later that week, Lucy came to help me get ready at the Crosby Street Hotel with my girlfriends and sister and our awesome photographer, John Keon. She fit right in like family, had some champagne, and before I know it, I looked EXACTLY like my trial look -- feeling 100% confident and the most beautiful I ever felt. Lucy was warm, comforting, friendly, SO SO SKILLED, and the best I could have ever wanted. I knew from minute one at my trial that she would be the best to work with -- and I only ever met her. Why search when you found perfection!? I only wish I could get married once more so we could do it all over! I am most certain I will look to her again for other events and big moments in my life -- she is like a swat team for my confidence!! Thank you, thank you, Lucy!

Miss Harlequin - or Lucy as she is also know recently did my hair and make up for my wedding. Not that I like singing my own praises but I looked amazing! The make up was absolutely perfect - Lucy actually knew what I wanted before I actually did. I had an awful lot of comments about my hair and make up specifically and that my make up artist had done such a fantastic job.

My make up stayed on all day and my hair also stayed put even through lots of sweaty dancing!

Needless to say Lucy was incredibly professional, she has an extensive kit with make up for all skin types. She has an excellent rapport and is very calming which is especially helpful for nervous brides. She is incredibly experienced and definitely has a natural talent and is very quick at her work.

I would definitely use her again for all future occasions where my make up just isn't up to scratch and I give her a five out of five every time.

She has great energy and is fun to be around - amazing!!

Lucy did my hair and make up and I was so happy with the result. We met about a month prior for the trial, and she listened to what i wanted. i dont wear much make up and i didnt want anything too over the top. she managed to make me look flawless and camera ready, but also like myself and very natural. i wasn't sure what i wanted to do with my hair, but described my dress and hair, and she gave me a beautiful, slightly vintage, but not to fussy style. i got tons of compliments on my hair and make up, and best of all, in the photographs, i looked exactly like myself - only better, obviously!

A dream to work with

My wedding was originally planned for May 2020 and rescheduled 3 times until our final date of October 2022. Over the years, my previous hair and make up person fell through but this only came to light 2 months ahead of our wedding day. I had to scramble to find someone new and was very nervous about finding the right aesthetic for myself and my family / bridal party getting ready with me. I really wanted a natural look. Lucy to the rescue! Lucy was by far the best communicator of any vendor I have worked with. She worked with me to put a team together to look after myself and 8 other women on the day. And then when one artist got COVID 2 weeks before and was too ill for my trial, she stepped in herself to do my hair for the trial and for my wedding day. And I absolutely loved it! Beautiful, Natural Makeup

I worked with Lucy and Cati for my wedding in July, and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience! Lucy was a quick and transparent communicator about pricing and booking. Cati traveled to my home in Brooklyn for the trial and got me so excited with a preview of my hair/makeup for the big day - I especially loved the lip color that she created for me! I am someone who doesn't regularly wear a lot of makeup, and I had been nervous that it wouldn't look natural for my wedding. Lucy is a miracle worker.
I have typically not had positive experiences getting others to do my makeup. I've never felt listened to when I say I want to look natural, not overdone. Not with Lucy. I'd never had my make-up airbrushed on before, which was revolutionary. It gave just a very light coverage of foundation - just enough to even out and brighten my complexion but not so much that the real me didn't show through. Equally, my eye make-up was just enough to complement my complexion and define my eyes without being too much. Lucy really listened to me and recommended eyeshadow shades that suited me perfectly but were still within my comfort zone.

And last, but not least, my hair: It was fun in our trial session to google lots of images of possible styles and get her advice on which would suit me. On the day I was really pleased with how it all came together - she nailed it straight away the hairstyle was exactly how I wanted it.

Lucy was a joy to have there on my wedding day while I was getting ready. She was super calm and uber professional. I felt like I was in such safe hands. My Mom, who is a tough critic, also felt really confident and comfortable with the way Lucy did her hair and make-up.

I'd recommend her in a heartbeat!

I worked with Liza from Miss Harlequin for my wedding this past Saturday. I'm really picky about my makeup and rarely like the makeup I've had done for friends' weddings, but I felt amazing on my wedding day!

Lucy, the owner, was a great communicator, and Liza was an amazing stylist. She showed up early and was relaxed and efficient and fun to chat with and very passionate about her work. She took the time to really understand what I did and didn't want and then far exceeded my expectations. I got tons of compliments on my hair especially, which looked soft and romantic but didn't budge at all throughout the event, and when I unpinned it turned into gorgeous curls that lasted through the next day!

I hired Lucy for my wedding day, and it was one of the best decisions I made. We were blessed to work with many excellent vendors on my wedding day, but Lucy and Cati were truly exceptional. I have long, curly hair that has a tendency to frizz - and I got married in New York City in August. Despite the weather working against me, I wasn't afraid because I trusted Lucy would be able to give me perfect hair on my wedding day. And she did! She used my natural hair texture and curl (which was very important to my husband) to craft me the most beautiful retro updo. I felt stunning. Lucy and Cati also did a wonderful job on my family and friends. They were able to deliver a wide variety of looks while still making them look cohesive. On top of making my whole party look amazing, Lucy and Cati were a joy to hang out with! It felt like I had two extra friends on my wedding day. I would recommend Lucy and her team to anyone on their wedding day. Hiring her was by far one of the best decisions I made.

I don't even know where to start. Absolutely amazing team. My hair are very short and my dream was to wear a nice updo but hair stylist prior to that told me it was impossible and I should just get a nice wig. My hair is short because I had chemotherapy for breast cancer and my hair didnt grow as long as I thought they would in a year. Anyway Natasha made it happen and I have a pictures to show, she did an amazing updo that lasted the entire night and I was blown away, needless to say my mom and bridesmaids hair were on point. Same with my makeup, Gwen did an amazing job, my make up was flawless the entire night. I highly recommend. I felt like a princess because of Natasha and Gwen. I could give million starts if possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The look came together

My makeup was done very well and lasted all day. My hair looked good but I liked it better on my makeup trial. I didn’t see it well until I saw photos. My MUA was very nice and she helped me get my tiara and dress on.
