MIR Events & Travel was phenomenal to work with for our May wedding! Brandy and her team’s professionalism and attention to detail made our day flawless. From initial wedding wedding planning to executing our big day, Brandy was very attentive and was easy to communicate with. She accommodated everything we asked of her and she was a delight to work with. Brandy truly was the glue that held together our wedding and made it even more beautiful than we could’ve asked for! -

Out of all the day of coordinators out there, I am so glad we went with Brandy & her team!
Words cannot describe how amazing this lady is 🥹 she made my day go SO smoothly and set everything up at my reception like a dream!! Came in clutch when we had an emergency with ice and missing linens! She was my fairy god mother for the day honestly! She has a team who is also amazing and took videos/photos for me throughout the night! She took care of all the vendors during the event, helped me with setting up tables and chairs I had rented! (I had no idea what the inside looked like until I came out! And I was amazed at how beautiful it all looked)
She is honestly amazing! If you’re looking for a coordinator for your wedding .. hands down you want someone like Brandy (my bridal party & parents kept saying how amazing she was all day too) 🤗 -

Brandy is someone you want on your side for the most special day in your life!
Hiring Brandy and her team was the best decision we made for our June 2022 wedding at Herrington on the Bay. Since we had made all the decor and florals ourselves, we had planned to do all the set up and breakdown as well and just work with our vendor coordinator. As the wedding day approached, we knew this would be a daunting task. We reached out to a few coordinators but immediately after we spoke with Brandy, we knew we had found our perfect fit. She made us feel better in an instant with her professionalism, attention to detail, and how comfortable we felt talking to her about our every concern. On the day of, her team executed everything we had planned perfectly and everyone loved Brandy and her team. Would hire her again in a heartbeat, she made our day perfect, and stressfree. Thank you for everything Brandy!! -

Hiring MIR Events and Travel was possibly the best choice we made for the whole wedding process. Brandy was responsive and flexible with my time considering I live in Japan and she in is America. She was able to get us a new officiant when ours cancelled last minute and help get us in contact with a shuttle bus service for the day of the wedding to bring folks to and from the church.
We were so lucky that Brandy's team of 4 were able to help get the church ready and get the hotel space ready at the same time. They really pulled it off! We had about 120 guests and each table looked just the way I imagined they would be.
We hired MIR for day-of coordinating, but I really feel like they went above and beyond to help me through the whole wedding planning process. Most importantly, my mother was able to relax and enjoy the wedding rather than worry about setting up tables by herself. -

Professional That Trully Loves Her Craft.
Brandy is a an amazing individual.
She is professional, honest, fun and kind but also doesn't hesitate to tell you off (kindly) if requests are unrealistic or unreasonable!
She pours all her heart into her projects and most clients become friends.

We cannot emphasize more how amazing Brandy and her planning team are!! When we first started wedding planning, we didn't know if we had it in our budget to hire a planner. We took that leap with Brandy and it was without a doubt worth every dollar. Brandy is all around incredible. She captured our vision perfectly, and I was blown away with how everything looked at our wedding. Brandy quite literally gets things done - with a smile and positive energy! We're blessed to have had Brandy and her team part of our wedding. -

Brandy is everything you need and more!
I started as a DIY bride who was determined to plan a 120-guest wedding/reception by herself. Eventually, I knew I needed a little help and I'm so glad I stumbled across Brandy. I hired her as a day-of coordinator but if I knew what I know now, I would have hired her to help me every step of the way. Brandy really can do it all, and she does it so effortlessly. My wedding (10/15/2021) turned out to be everything I dreamed of and more. She ensured everything ran as smooth as possible and kept with the timeline without taking away from the fun. I had last minute trouble finding wedding staff (servers/bartenders) and she was able to secure some great staff for me, relieving so much stress. I really don't know what I would have done without Brandy. If you're in the DMV area and looking for a wonderful wedding planner/day of coordinator, give Brandy a buzz because she won't disappoint. -

Brandy is the best
We knew Brandy was the perfect fit for us immediately after our introduction meeting. We were looking for a day-of coordinator because I knew we needed one and what was so great about Brandy is even though we just hired her for the day, she was involved throughout the entire process - joined us during the tastings, tours, made sure we had our dress/tuxes in order, everything. It made the whole wedding journey so smooth for us. She is a woman with many hats so she also took care of coordinating transportation and hotel blocking for us which was so incredibly helpful. There were countless times of her going above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding we dreamed of that I'll forever be grateful for. She was phenomenal and I HIGHLY recommend her to any bride/groom that's looking for a coordinator. -

Brandy is a very kind and personable woman, and several family members commented that she was so nice and cheerful. She did a wonderful job with our rehearsal luncheon (20 guest and buffet style food), but there were so many things that I requested for our day-of that didn't come close to my expectations. I fully acknowledge that I am Type A, which I shared with Brandy, so I understand that what is a big deal to me isn't a big deal to every bride. I did convey to Brandy the things that I considered to be of upmost importance throughout planning and before the wedding day. She attended a tasting and a final walkthrough at our venue with us, as well as completed a walkthrough on her own. She knew our guest count (83 people) and the venue layout. Then to make things straightforward and helpful, I took the time to create a wedding binder that contained almost every single detail I could think of for the day. I spent countless hours creating descriptions and directions for how I wanted decorations set up, and included important info for little details that mattered to us.
Starting with our ceremony, we had well over 100 hurricane vases and candles of various sizes. I had taken the time to describe in detail how I wanted candles arranged at the arch and at our unity ceremony table. What Brandy set up was nowhere close to correct. The same was true for our welcome and in memoriam tables. Instead of following our directions, Brandy and her team put things how they deemed fit. I also stated on three separate occasions that when I got to the top of aisle I wanted my train and veil fluffed before my dad met me to walk down the aisle. There was a big awkward moment having to ask her to do that while I was standing there. I hate thinking back on it, and I should have just let it be.
For our cocktail hour, I again in the detailed binder, explained how I wanted things to look. I specifically stated that I wanted only 6" hurricane vases and no small votive candles on the bar next to our signs, and how I wanted them arranged. I've gotten our sneak peek photos back, and there are nothing but tiny votive candles haphazardly placed all along the bar. It was exactly what I said I didn't want. I even noticed that they were wrong before our cocktail hour and ceremony started, asked for them to be changed, and they weren't.
Finally, for the reception, I stated how I wanted our sweetheart table to look. Again, the directions weren't followed, and the pictures show something that looks haphazard. We also got a crazy napkin fold that we didn't want. The correct fold (which was a simple drape) was in the binder. I spent a lot of time and money to create the vision I had in my mind. The resources and instructions to create it were provided to Brandy, and she either didn't read the binder or didn't care enough to do it. Approximately 20% of the candles we bought weren't even lit.
My husband and I had a wonderful day and have so many great memories, but when I look at some of these details photos, I feel crushed. I only got to do this once, and the small things (which mattered a great deal to me, not to mention were expensive) were not considered. We also had several communication issues over the planning process, and she sent us a bill for an additional 50% of our contract price with some vague time entries. In hindsight, I would not have hired Brandy to coordinate our wedding. Brandy is a very sweet woman, and I hope she is the right fit for the next bride!MIR Events & Travel's reply:
Alexa & Trevor, thank you for hiring me for your beautiful day. I had no idea there were so many issues & I am sorry that you feel I was not paying attention to your details & moments. Any adjustments that were made regarding decor or candles were made to keep your guests safe throughout the evening & to also not disturb you & Trevor.
My goal was to protect you & Trevor as much as possible so that you can live in the "January Wedding" moment & feel the love surrounding you from family & friends. Even though I fell down the stairs & severely sprained my ankle, I pushed through to make sure you both had smiles on your faces.
If there is a way to correct this, I would love to speak with you & hopefully we can come to a better conclusion. If not, I wish you much success & I thank you both for the opportunity.
