I didn't give photography a single thought during my wedding, which is exactly how it should be.
Before the wedding, Max and Mikayla's portal of questions helped me feel confident that they were going into the day with a plan I would be happy with.
On the day of, Max and Mikayla were the ones to gather our families for photos so that I didn't have to, and when they could tell that some of our family members' lack of preparedness/cooperation was stressing me out, they would tell me to throw it out of my mind and let them deal with it. I appreciated that I could trust them to manage our friends and family with professionalism and efficiency. We ended up staying exactly on schedule.
During formal photos, Max and Mikayla were fantastic at not leaving a hair out of place. They directed poses with energy and reminded everyone to check their posture and smile with kindness. I loved how they were able to make everyone feel comfortable but also make sure everyone still looked their best!
During the ceremony, our ceremony room was very tight and compact, but Mikayla was sneaky! Of course, I was more focused on my then-fiance, but when we got some of our photos back, she had captured beautiful, intimate shots in places I didn't even notice she was so nearby for. It was great to feel like I could enjoy my ceremony without it feeling like a photo shoot but still capturing the sweet moments!
During the reception, Max and Mikayla were truly a part of the party. They included my friends and family in taking fun photos and captured the joy of our celebration. Toward the end of the night, Mikayla gave me a sneak peek of some of her shots from the ceremony, and I sincerely ran around my reception showing everyone. I was ecstatic with how beautiful the composition and lighting of the pictures were and how brilliantly they captured the feeling I hoped my wedding would have.
TLDR:
Max and Mikayla made my friends and family feel comfortable in front of the camera while doing everything they could to alleviate all my stress regarding pictures. They were able to get intimate shots without ever feeling invasive to the festivities or special, private moments. Their skillful direction and composition resulted in pictures that captured the joy and love of my wedding far beyond my expectations. I am grateful to have had them there. -

Where do I even begin!!! From the moment meeting Mikayla and Max we were at ease with knowing we had made the right decision in hiring them!
In most (actually all I believe?) of their packages they include an engagement session which was so helpful and so much fun. Both my husband and myself are not comfortable taking pictures and when I read their reviews I found a common theme based around the fact that the couple makes this so easy and it is 100% the truth. They are such a fun loving couple you just feel like you are hanging out with friends. On the day of the wedding my schedule was a little off as most brides can agree happen and seeing the two of them did not give me anxiety but reassurance that they were going to take charge and everything would go as planned and in the end we had MORE TIME they are both so amazing I can not stress enough how genuine this couple is !
We have already made plans to book another shoot with them and in the future I hope for maternity shoots and family pictures ! They are amazing and so well priced please book them -

Mik & Max do not disappoint! We are forever grateful for these two for capturing our day beyond what we had imagined. They are the most perfect duo and make the best team. They made the day even more fun and were always up for new picture ideas. They went above and beyond throughout the entire event and always made sure we were taken care of. Would absolutely recommend Mik & Max to other couples looking for a photographer! -

Best Decision Ever!
I really cannot thank Mik and Max enough for photographing our Star Wars wedding! They were very responsive and communicative leading up to the wedding, they had many great ideas for our event, and not only are they genuinely kind, their energy is contagious too.
They knew how to keep everyone laughing and smiling for our photos and even came in costume per our request!! It was pretty awesome seeing a Jedi roam around all night with a camera in hand.
After the end of the night, we were gifted with a small portfolio of edited pictures from our first look and bridal party photos. This was a surprise to us and we are cherishing these beautiful pictures until we receive the rest. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you both so so so much for everything.
If you’re on the market for wedding photographers, look no further. You will be in the best hands possible with these two! -

Max and Mikayla filmed my wife and my wedding in April 2021. I had become doubtful that a wedding video could ever be more than a "flex" for friends to watch on social media. It felt like every video I had seen was just a movie trailer - stripped of sentimental moments and lacking authenticity.
My wife really wanted to remember our day with a wedding video - and after we decided to go for it, our search led us to the incredible option: Mik & Max Photo. Don't have to time to read the rest? They were the best decision we made for our wedding.
From the start, they were both incredibly supportive. We received easy to fill, thoughtful forms that helped us communicate important details and feel excited and confident as our wedding day approached.
Having our whole day covered was the best investment - cameras were rolling from the start of both our mornings, capturing every tiny moment in a big way. Yet, the cameras were completely unobtrusive and things felt so normal and relaxed!
Mikayla & Max's unique idea to pass multiple tiny, handheld video cameras to our wedding parties helped get everyone involved in documenting our day. My groomsmen had a blast recording the morning while we got ready - we saw moments that we would have never remembered from that day! Everything was captured on video, from our puppy being a rascal, to our wedding party pulling off tik-tok dance moves to personal notes of encouragement left by friends and parents on the small cameras.
But it certainly doesn't stop there - Max and Mikayla pulled out all the stops with high quality video equipment that made everything feel great and look beautiful. I work as a full time video producer, and I couldn't have been more excited and impressed with how Max and Mikayla captured our details with multiple camera angles and best-in-class video gear.
During the day, they were both extremely supportive outside of their roles behind the camera. You would never expect your videographers to be actively offering you water, holding bridal bouquets and constantly checking to make sure you're having a blast. Normally, you shouldn't expect that - most vendors aren't doing this. Max and Mikayla went so above and beyond that day, and we will forever remember them supporting us in the smallest and most meaningful ways that no one else could see.
As our wedding night continued, Max & Mikayla were always present and capturing amazing moments - and it still didn't feel like we were in the spotlight. My wife and I were able to be ourselves, enjoy our wedding and celebrate with our family and friends - all while knowing we were in the best of hands.
After our wedding, we were excited to get our video back! Max and Mikayla were excellent communicators and when our link arrived, we were speechless.
Max sent us a version of the video that was "just for us - not for family and friends, just for you both to remember." That video, along with other fun video cuts he sent us, is the one that we've shared far and wide. The "story cut" of our wedding video is an incredibly authentic, sentimental and beautiful look back at our day. Three plays through, and the tears were still flowing. All the fun moments and quiet memories - it was an overwhelming evening for us.
We've gone back to watch it constantly - it has been the most meaningful way we've remembered our wedding day.
Mik & Max Photo will always be the best investment we made for our wedding day. Forever fans of yours Max and Mikayla!! -

Max and Mikayla made this process so easy and the results were amazing! My husband and I are not naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but we felt so at ease during the shoot. They knew exactly how to place us and “style” us to give everything such an effortless look. So thankful to have them be a part of such a special day! 10/10 would recommend! -

Max and Mikayla were amazing! They were friendly, professional and did an amazing job! We felt totally comfortable with them handling our newborn and the photos came out so beautiful! And the family photos were great. Everyone looked great. Very nicely done. Super creative and beautiful. -

AMAZING engagement shoot!
Mik & Max were an absolute blast to work with, and the photos were STUNNING. They made my fiancé and I feel comfortable in front of the camera immediately, and had a good balance of letting us lead when we wanted, and helping prompt us with cues when we didn’t! They took the time to listen to what we wanted from the photos,
and throughout our shoot they would show us some shots to make sure we liked them. We love Mik & Max! -

Mik and Max are an amazing duo. Not only do they know what they’re doing behind the camera, they also know how to help you relax and get the quality pictures you desire without the stress. They are timely, silly, and all the things you didn’t know you would even want your photographers to be. Highly recommend!! -
