  Amazing Wedding videographer

  From the initial contact call to our Wedding day working with John was an amazing experience. John was with us throughout the entire day of our wedding. We loved our highlight video, our ceremony footage and the video that included all the dances and speeches of our wedding. All the videos were shot with a lot of detail. John knows how to capture key moments, that allow us to relive our wedding day, we couldn’t be happier! Many people don’t hire videographers anymore, but there is nothing like being able to relive such an important day. John does an amazing job capturing everything and provides great package deals, he was worth every penny!

We loved our highlight video, our ceremony footage and the video that included all the dances and speeches of our wedding. All the videos were shot with a lot of detail. John knows how to capture key moments, that allow us to relive our wedding day, we couldn’t be happier! Many people don’t hire videographers anymore, but there is nothing like being able to relive such an important day. John does an amazing job capturing everything and provides great package deals, he was worth every penny!

  AMAZING videographer!

  If you’re in need of videography, look no further. John is insanely talented and our video turned out even better than we could have hoped for. And receiving the raw footage of our first dances, speeches, and ceremony was SO special. John truly captured our personalities and the joy we experienced throughout the day. He was also very discreet - it was amazing some of the footage he was able to capture without us even realizing. It was worth every penny and I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat!

  Our Favorite Wedding Vendor - Hands Down!

  John and the Mid 80s team did such an incredible job of capturing such cherished moments on our wedding day. From the planning process to the actual wedding day to receiving the videos, we were absolutely blown away. The videos we received were so amazing and the editing was superb. We were so glad to be able to relive the day by watching them. On the wedding day itself, John was seamless in coordinating with our other vendors (especially our photographer). He has a calming demeanor and was so encouraging whenever we finished a shot. My husband and I have agreed that Mid 80s was hands-down our favorite wedding vendor. Whether you live in/around the Baltimore area or you live out of town and are planning your destination wedding in Maryland, don't hesitate to hire Mid 80s Media to make your day go above and beyond!

  John is more than a wedding videographer- hes an artist!

  I cannot recommend John enough! He is an incredibly talented and creative videographer who captured our wedding day perfectly. From start to finish, John was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. He took the time to understand our vision for the day and went above and beyond to make sure that every moment was captured on film.
  
  The final result was nothing short of amazing. John's editing skills are second to none, and he truly made us look like the stars of a movie! The film he created is simply breathtaking and everyone who has seen it has been blown away. It's clear that John has a real talent for storytelling through film, and we are so grateful that he was there to capture our special day.

  Videographer You Need

  John was chill, calm, and happy for our wedding day, which is the energy you want to have around you when it’s go-time. He worked super well with our photographer and knew the footage he was looking for. We haven’t seen the complete video yet, but we know it’s going to be awesome and are super excited to see the final product. Would recommend!

  Already blown away

  I should start by saying we haven't actually received our full wedding video yet, so this review is based on our actual experience with John as well as our social media teaser. I've watched our teaser video about 100 times since receiving it 2 days ago because it's just so cool and I am so impressed. John was a pleasure to work with on our wedding day and he worked really well with our photographers. Also, his pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality he produces. John is a true artist and I couldn't be more excited to see what else he creates for us.

  Very committed to making sure we had a meaningful wedding keepsake!

  When I showed friends and family my wedding video, I received so many messages that said something along the lines of, "every cent you paid for that video was worth it." I am so, so glad we decided to go with John for our videographer. He was very responsive and dedicated so much of his day to filming our wedding. He captured such beautiful shots and made a highlight video we will treasure forever. He was also willing to make a few changes to the highlight video after we saw it for the first time. I cannot recommend him more highly!

  Gorgeous Footage from the Entire Day

  John was incredible. Extremely communicative, responsive, and helpful. On top of being great to work with, his actual work is AMAZING. We almost didn’t get a videographer but after hearing from multiple people that they wish they had or that it was their best investment, we decided to take the leap. Seeing John’s portfolio made him a clear choice, as the way he layers high-quality audio recordings with stunning imagery cannot be beat in a highlight video. Seeing these amazing shots from our wedding day playing over the audio of our vows will never stop making me cry. Few videographers also offer raw footage now adays and the footage of our ceremony, speeches, and first dances is so gorgeous it feels like a fully edited film. My brother wrote and officiated our ceremony and I am SO glad I will have that entire thing to watch over and over again and eventually to show our kids. We were truly amazed at the quality and creative vision of his work and are so grateful we hired John.

  John was the first person there the day of my wedding and he literally never stopped filming. He was so kind and patient with my hot mess of a bridal party.
  I could not have imagined my wedding highlight video being this incredible. When my husband and I watched it yesterday we were left completely speechless, absolutely beautiful. I was also amazed with how beautiful my raw footage was-we almost thought he extended the highlights. We are truly able to relive that entire day in about an hour and I am so grateful we found him.

  I would give 10 stars if I could

  Seriously, book John right now. We got our 1 minute sneak peek video back a week after our wedding and it made us SO excited to see the rest. Our highlight reel and raw footage came in 2.5 months after our big day which is so impressive, especially considering the quality of it. There were a couple of small changes we requested and he took our feedback and applied it right away. To quote a comment on my mom's Facebook page, "This is the best wedding video I've ever seen!!! I felt like I was watching a Hallmark movie." I've watched it an embarrassing amount of times. Not only is his work fantastic, but he had such a calming presence the day of. He got beautiful footage of us, our loved ones, and the venue. I can't recommend him enough. If you are on the fence about a videographer, pull the trigger. You don't realize how little you'll be processing due to adrenaline and we are beyond thankful to have these videos to watch over and over. Thank you again, John!!!

  Best decision!

  A video was not originally in my budget but I talked to a lot of people who's biggest regret was not getting one. I am SO HAPPY I decided to spend the extra money.
  We chose Mid 80s Media after looking at a ton of videographer's portfolios in our area and fell in love with the style of John's highlight films. I loved that the audio is a mix of vows and speeches and music and the visuals seemed so natural.
  Our wedding was October 2021 and John did not miss a moment. He was able to capture everything we had hoped and more, but was also never in the way. He is very calm and relaxed which is extremely appreciated on a stressful day.
  We just received our footage back and the quality is amazing. We watched our highlight on our 65" TV and it looked like it could have been a Hollywood movie.
  We are so happy with Mid 80s Media and cannot recommend them enough!

  So Happy We Chose Mid 80s Media!!!

  John at Mid 80s Media made an absolutely beautiful highlight reel for us. Our contract also included full but un-edited coverage of all the main events and we were very happy with that as well. Particularly, we appreciated having the full ceremony footage stitched together from two camera angels. John was very easy to work with and was our actual videographer day of. Our video took longer than the contracted time, but John was up front that he was running behind and he was NEVER unresponsive so this didn’t bother us AT ALL. He has been great though the whole process and let us request edits to the highlight film which was very important to me. I would just note that if there are specific day of details you want in your video, make sure to give a list beforehand so everyone is on the same page. Our contract included providing the footage on a hard drive we provided and that worked great. John delivered an exceptional wedding video using quality footage. I expressed that I wanted “epic” music and like the dark/jewel tone looks more than “light and airy” and he hit it right on the head. I am so happy we picked Mid 80’s Media for our wedding. We are very happy customers and I am NOT easily impressed! Some screenshots of my video below. The video is 4K quality even though my screenshots obviously are not!

  Great Guy, Great Product, Great Experience!

  John was a fantastic addition to our vendors for our wedding. He was very professional, and did a great job going over in detail how he shoots weddings, his equipment, and style. His website has very good video samples and a clear breakdown of his packages, and based on our own video, I would say his video samples are very accurate to what we got while still capturing our own event's feeling and style.
  
  One of the best things we and many of our guests appreciated about John was his ability to put people at ease. He is very confident in finding shots and directing you, but he is also very calm, with a friendly demeanor that makes him very personable and easy to talk to and follow. It is very clear he enjoys not only videography, but working on weddings and being a part of making happy people even happier.
  
  We are very happy with the pre wedding, day of, and post wedding experience with John, and most importantly, we love our highlight and "big moments" videos.

He worked seamlessly with our photographers striving to never be in their way and instead excelled at finding ways to follow their lead while making occasional suggestions so that both the photos and video truly captured the moment in their own ways. The end result was an absolutely beautiful video that we’ll be re-watching for years to come. Cannot recommend John and his team enough.

  Excellent experience !

  John was so great to work with ! He makes the process smooth and makes sure that clients are happy with the final product. The poses / shots recommended were very creative and really made the final video so amazing ! They are also very affordable and well worth the value ! While John was not available for my event, the videographers who came were so professional and excellent all around. You will not regret hiring John and his team, but will regret if you don’t! 😉

  My husband and I absolutely love our wedding video that was captured and created by Mid 80s Media! From the music, to the sound, to the shots and the edits, our wedding film was perfect! We also love the raw footage we received! Mid 80s Media offered multiple film packages for us to choose from, so the process was simple and easy from the start. The film and raw footage perfectly captured every event of our special day, and we love to watch the footage to look back on and remember our day! We highly recommend using Mid 80s Media to capture your wedding day!

  Amazing videography!

  John was the best ever! He was honestly almost invisible the entire day, but watching the videos after the fact, he got so many beautiful moments that I didn’t even realize he was there. He was so flexible with the planning process especially during the pandemic and he even customized a package for us to include the footage that we really wanted from the day. We are so thankful for him capturing our day so beautifully, especially now when not everyone could’ve been there that we wanted. We highly highly recommend!

  Great Video - Highly Recommend

  Highly recommend Mid80'sMedia. John was with us all day from getting ready, until the end of the reception, capturing all the big moments through out the day. He did a great job putting together a video with clips that flowed seamlessly. John captured great drone footage of us and of the venue that made the video look really cool and professional. I love that he recorded our vows and included them in the video as well. John's video encompassed our wedding day perfectly, he included everything that I requested and more! It is great to now be able to watch this video and relive our big day! (I may have already watched it million times lol) Also, being a COVID bride, this video is a great keepsake to show friends and family who couldn't make it in person to our wedding.

  John was absolutely amazing from the first email to the final video. He arrived early the day of the wedding to check out the venue and get settled. And delivered an amazing final video we will cherish for the years to come. I will forever be thankful we hired him to capture our special day. I highly recommend!!

  Above and Beyond!

  John is an amazing videographer! I am a professional photographer/videographer for a living, so when I was planning my wedding I knew that a good wedding video was very important to me. When I hired John he was fairly new to the wedding videographer business, but I could tell that he had a great eye for video and a lot of talent based on couple of videos in his portfolio (and he’s only gotten better since then!) So glad we hired him because the wedding video he did for us is gorgeous, and he’s also affordable.
  
  Our wedding day was a whirlwind but John was great at directing and framing shots. We got married in a stream and he was walking around in the water with us and willing to get the angles needed to make a great video.
  
  Unfortunately our live-stream for our families (coronavirus wedding) cut out and nobody could watch it, but John was kind enough to stitch together an entire video of the ceremony (complete with 3 camera footage and audio) the day after the wedding so we could send it to our families. This was way above and beyond our original agreement (a 3-5min hightlight video) and I am so thankful that he put it together for us so that I didn’t have to on my honeymoon! Turnaround on the highlight video was also very quick (1 week) and we’ve gotten so many compliments on it. All in all, I’d highly recommend Mid-80’s Media.

Thanks so much Mid-80s media for literally RUNNING to our side (when the 4th of July Parade kept up traffic) and stealthily capturing incredible memories for us on our big day (including beautiful drone footage!).   Absolutely amazing!!!!

  Mid 80’s media is a one of a kind! You can find many videographers but John is by far the best! We were blown away by his work and personality. So many compliments on the film he captured from our wedding and how professional, friendly and polite he is. I would give him a million stars if I could!
